I dunno what sparked this in my mind, but I was thinking about TV shows like Little Big Shots or Ellen that interview child prodigies at something, and thought "demigods at interviews" and thus this was born. Part 1, including all the Apollo kids (including Octavian, Georgie, and Hal) and the Seven, plus Nico and Reyna. Will probably make a part 2 with just as many characters lol.
Lee
I feel like Lee would end up on a show like that at around five or six doing slam poetry. He feels like a slam poet to me, and an amazing one at that. They put him on stage with a mic and he whips up the most heartwrenching poem known to man that leaves the audience shocked....
Michael
Trick shots in archery. The people who can shoot with their feet while doing a hand stand? That's Michael. He'd be on the older side, probably around 10 to 12, definitely after he started camp, and it started as 100% a joke in the cabin that came to reality. You can see Chiron in the audience as his guardian.
Will
Something medical. He could probably name every bone in the body, all the systems in the body, and has extreme medical knowledge no little kid could have. The audience freaks out when his mother's mentioned though (back on my super famous Naomi kick). He'd probably be like 4 or 5.
Kayla
Canada doesn't have a LBS but according to my research some Canadian kids went on in the US, so she'd be on that version.
Archery obviously. She probably picked up a bow at like 2 with her father (saying this as someone who started at age 4 with a bow so big I needed my father to help me pull it back), and obviously was a prodigy. She'd've been like 5 or 6, and her aim and percision is impeccable.
Austin
This one is also obvious. Saxophone. He was probably like one or two years old (while LBS is 3+ from my research, Austin is an anomoly and should be treated as such. That or he goes on on his third birthday), with his customized saxophone Latricia's school helped fund for when the noticed him gravitating towards the saxes, and absolutely captured the heart of America with his tiny little cornrows and suit that Latricia dressed him up in that his video is still among the most popular, and a lot of his youtube followers come from a repost he did of that ten years later when he started youtube at like 11 or 12 (or 13).
Jerry
According to my research, UK had a season of Little Big Shots with a different host, because I had to make sure this worked before I made it.
He'd definitely be for something musically related. I hc one of his powers is the ability to recall any song he's heard before, so I think that's what he'd be on for. Like a version of Beat Shazam! but with just Jerry and the British LBS host. He'd probably be like seven or eight, I'd say.
Yan
Hong Kong doesn't have it's own version of LBS, but I know the US version had some international kids with child translators, so she'd probably go on with a translator but try to speak a little English at like the age of 5 or 6 on a trip to the US.
As for what? I think they'd go on for something instrumental as well; I was thinking piano or organ. I hc they're good at poetry, but I dunno if they'd take a kid who does poetry not in English for the show. It's not as universal as music.
Gracie
I hc her as competing in biathlon (skiing and shooting), so definitely that. Since, according to my biathlon research (the internet definitely thinks I wanna join biathlon now but I can't even ski) you have to be older to compete (you need to be 22 for the Olympics), she'd probably be around ten or eleven, which from what I gathered is around the youngest you can start learning. As for how she'd be able to show this off at a show? I dunno, maybe a video of her doing it on a ski slope as she explains the basics of biathlon? I dunno, I only watched like 3 episodes of season 1 when it came out before it bruised my really fragile ego too much.
Octavian
Octavian's only talent is sacrificing teddy bears. Imagine turning on LBS only to see a little six year old perfectly replicating ancient roman sacrificial rituals on his toy teddy bear? I'd be actually terrified.
I'm still going to say his talent has to do with roman culture, probably his extreme knowledge of it being raised by legacies in New Rome. Then he'd bring up sacrifices and Steve Harvey's genuinely terrified of this scrawny pale six year old.
Hal
Obviously Hal's like 60 during The Diary of Luke Castellan and there's nothing like LBS when he was a kid because then modern time wouldn't be modern, you know? But there was definitely a newspaper article when he was a kid that says "Young Boy saves girl from certain death!" or something to that degree. So, his prophesy powers.
Georgina
Her drawings. Everyone's slightly concerned about what she says, but her drawings are oddly good for an eight year old (actually I'd say she'd be like 4 or 5), so everyone lets it slide cause she's cute and pretty articulate when it comes to describing her artwork.
Leo
MATH! Leo canonically does college level calculus at the age of 8. He's one of those super computers where Steve Harvey'll give him an insane math problem and he'd answer in like ten seconds and Steve has a calculator and drops it when he realizes this like six or seven year old's right.
Annabeth
Architecture of course. LBS would show buildings or monuments and Annabeth would say what it was, it's location, the year it was built, and some fun facts about it. Steve Harvey definitely said, "I've never seen this building in my life!" and five or six year old Annabeth giggled so hard.
Percy
Swimming, duh. Like Gracie's they probably just have a video because they are not getting a pool, but little Percy is a speed demon in the water, and it's great. Honestly very impressive to see a four year old do butterfly stroke in an olympic sized pool. I'd probably change the channel.
Hazel
Again, no LBS in 1940s, and the US was ages 3-12, so it doesn't work when she comes back either, so Hazel just gets a news article about her ability to find jewels anywhere. "Louisiana girl has found more jewels than you have in your entire life!" Or something like that.
Frank
(See Kayla's on Canada, and anyway Vancouvers like so much closer to Hollywood than NY is)
Frank's a toss up. I wanted to say spelling because Frank Spelling Bee champ has a special place in my heart (I never made it past the first round in my classroom), but spelling is a pretty common thing and I dunno if he could spell like pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis or something like that (thank you copy and paste) at like 7 or 8.
So I'm going back to basics and he's doing archery like Kayla and Michael (though not trick shots). Little 8 yo Frank talks extremely eloquently and emphazes the importance of practice, and the show surprises him with his mother coming home from active duty in the military and the clip of Frank screaming, "Mommy" while running towards Emily and sobbing is among one of the most watched clips with Austin's.
Jason
Probably fencing (well technically sword fighting, but you can't really have that on TV with a like 3 of 4 year old, can you?). Imagine a baby Jason dueling Steve Harvey after he beats up some dummies. Peak.
Piper
Piper's not going on the show. Her father signed her up, probably for something fashion related, but I'm not sure (she can surf well, but I doubt Tristan would put her down for that) but when they tried to film her she scream and screamed and ended up biting a producer so she was cut from the show. It was on the news for weeks after someone in the audience leaked that Tristan McLean's daughter was supposed to preform on Little Big Shots but ended up being so rowdy they couldn't film. She was probably 5 or 6.
Nico
Mythology specialist, of course.
He actually could go on LBS because he joins modern day at age 10, so that's how old he was. They show him pictures of Greek/Roman gods and he rambles off their Greek and Roman names, as well as their domains.
He also brings up the goddess Bia at the beginning and says she's one of his favorites because his nickname for his big sister is Bia, and the camera pans to Bianca sitting in the audience next to Alecto, and the world eats that up.
Reyna
Reyna would go on at 3 or 4 (and a 10/11 yo Hylla's her translator because I just feel in my bones Hylla learned English really young and I dunno why) with some form of martial arts, I think, not sure which one exactly, but I can see a little 3 yo Reyna in Puerto Rico competing in kids taekwando. But Reyna ends up being more well known by how articulate and intelligent she is. Steve Harvey asks Hylla "Did she really say that?" at least four times because he thought Hylla was embellishing Reyna's words, but nope, that actually is the most accurate translation.
People who speak Spanish absolutely adore her.
Will I make a part 2? Probably. I had too much fun with this.

updates ig???
(reposted from my deviantart)
so i guess this is like. my plans for the future or at least where i feel like im at when it comes to comics and such.
tl;dr - bird of death is my main project now and everything else is in uncertain limbo
details under the cut:
first thing is just, the state of my projects. bird of death, which im posting now, has completely taken over my brain and its something i enjoy working on much more because its part of a bigger project that im working on with a group of 6 other people and ultimately i think art is a social thing for me. at this point ive also got a 115+ page buffer which ive never even come close to before, so i feel very much at ease about being able to put it out into the world without the months long hiatuses ive gone on with my other comics. plus, it has elements in it that are largely influenced by ideas from my previous projects which i guess leads me to my next point...
which is that im growing burnt out of my older comics. i had for a long time. i occasionally experience moments where i really love my old stories again and give myself the impression that im ready to get back into them, but then it always ends up being temporary and fizzling out again just a week or so later. like venturing. i spent years working on it and theres so much left of the story for me to tell, things that i am still excited to show. but at the same time, its a story i started when i was 16 and i guess this happens to a lot of creators, but my writing style is so different now and when i look back at it i cringe. theres also the factor that felix is almost like an undercooked version of my protagonist in bird of death (for reasons that have only vaguely been revealed). so when i think about writing his story it just feels like. he's the same guy but more poorly put together by a younger me.
this same thing goes for another comic project that ive never shared publicly but which ive been working on for just as long as ive been working on venturing. its actually the story im using for my final project for my degree lmao. the characters in it that im most invested in feel like early drafts for characters from bird of death... the catharsis of writing them has moved to this new story. my old projects just feel like early drafts of this new one but wearing different clothes. they are all born of the same train of thought.
then theres the matter of my fancomics. children of decay is so early on and undercooked that i barely have anything to say about it except that i still love the idea of having a warriors comic, but man i am just not invested in it the way i am with bird of death. (also the fact their titles are so similar... feels silly lol).
my moomin fancomics are a whole other matter... im not the writer for them, and theres still a ton of content that i wanted to cover. im still only in the first chapter of blackthorn tree, and i wanted to adapt 4 more fics afterwards. they are stories that i love, and which continue to be very dear to me, but the inspiration that gave me is, again, now being channeled into my newest project. i guess that makes sense, given that my protagonist was originally made to be a moomin oc. ive also felt increasingly disconnected from the moomin fandom, not because i like the series itself any less, but the fandom landscape is just very different from what it was. another factor is that i did actually have the rest of chapter 1 almost finished, but i lost all those files when my old ipad got fried and this really bummed me out, just a further discouragement.
putting all these things on the backburner feels bad. i dont like saying that i dont know when or even if i will come back to certain projects. i know lots of people enjoyed what i was making, especially venturing and the moomin comics. but i just cant find it in myself to commit to them again now that this new project has pretty much overtaken me, and i dont know if that commitment will ever come back. this isnt to say that i am putting an end to any of them or that im quitting them. just that they are not the thing i am committed to, and i am putting them into uncertain limbo. it feels smarter to concentrate my energy on a project i am much more devoted to now, which is very developed, and which i am making alongside other people who are also very devoted to the greater project.
if u got this far thanks for reading, and thanks to all those who've supported me over the years in my creative endeavors

I STILL HAVE SOME OF THESE IMAGES AS DESKTOP WALLPAPERS!
Hold on, let me get my folder, For The People.
At the time when these were being made, for the modified fractals at least, most people simply referred to them as "fractal art". I'd know. I was in high school downloading this stuff for my computer!
THIS is the oldest wallpaper in my wallpapers folder, it is from 2004, apparently. It was from a DeviantArt user called Graphic Serenity. Original source link is long gone, now.
For above, that's the link to "Follow The Light" from user aurora900. It's really cool that I can still find these online! That the original artist's profile is still up! You can also see how old this art is, oh my gosh. They uploaded this on September 27th, 2005!
From hereon, THESE ARE FRACTALS:
Above, this image "In the depths" was uploaded by DA user w3bdiod on 2002! Very good example of this specific style.
The above link is to Fractal Web by McMike on DeviantArt! Uploaded Decemebr 6th, 2004. You can tell I was fastidious about putting the name and artist in my file names, because this has been very easy to do, lol. I prefer linking back to the original files, you see.
UNFORTUNATELY, abstract_dark.jpg is not so lucky.
Reverse image search has NOT been kind to me, and the only DA link that got spat back at me is a re-color from a reposter. At this point in time, I was very active on DeviantArt myself, and got most of my wallpapers in this style from that site.
I even logged back into DA and, wow, searching backwards for "abstract dark" is a blast from the past. This particular image is VERY popular, however. My condolences.
Some people are still playing with fractals and running them through photoshop as late as 2017! This style is still alive!
This is "So Long" by PJKfractals on DeviantArt, and is from October 13, 2018!
Meanwhile, this below, is one of the oldest images in my Favorites folder on my DeviantArt account!
"String theory" by wordpaw, and it's from July 11th, 2005.
And, from hereon THESE ARE NOT FRACTALS:
"Mezzoluna" by elquin96. This it a minimalist take on the overall style, I would judge. It's from the right time, September 2nd, 2005. Not a fractal!
This is "artifact" by k3studio, and it's another one of those images from an artist that's no longer on DeviantArt! The "Date Taken" in my folder is May 17th, 2008, but the image itself may be older.
I hope you like my wallpaper collection! I absolutely loved this particular style, and I still have a billion favorites that I cannot share in one post.
This is one of the original "Saber" arts by RPGuere. It's definitely this version that's in my wallpapers folder, because the date I have on the image in my folder is from January 26, 2006, and the artist uploaded this one only two days earlier! He also uploaded a widescreen version later, in 2011, by the way.
This was uploaded September 5th, 2003, so I can only assume that supersampled is the new name of dreamwa1ker from DeviantArt! Very strong example of this particular trend in the 2000s. It's gorgeous, even still.
I was thinking about switching back to one of these wallpapers myself, but my huge new resolution (3480x2160) is going to absolutely murderize them, haha. I guess I'll have to look for a new wallpaper in this kind of style!
Enjoy these old links! Get yourselves some new-old wallpapers, lol.
"Metalheart (also known as Depthcore or Trendwhore) is an aesthetic that was prevalent from roughly 1998 to 2004, during the Y2K Era. It was characterized by deformed abstract shapes and futuristic fonts on blurry backgrounds."

Yes, yes, and yes, please.
Here are multiple pens: 🖊🖊🖊🖊🖊🖊
(I didn't want you to run out of ink while you're gushing.)
want me to gush about my ocs?
why thank you for supplying me with those! I will put them to good use! (as per usual, this got long lol) for the skyrim kids:
🖊 Both Ranni and Murien were characters that I rolled for rather than coming up with everything from scratch. At first it was just meant to be an exercise in character creation but it was so fun they became official OCs. I used Skyrim-specific generators on Perchance, character details on Springhole, and character creation tables on some TTRPG books, saved all the results, then used the ones that came up more than once or were similar enough. Finally, I named them and built the story around them. I cannot recommend this enough as an exercise! Also I should really compile a list of all the things I used so I can do it again lol
🖊 When he joined the Thieves Guild, Kieran became fast friends with Sapphire. He latched onto her because she reminded him of his older sister, and though she'd never admit it she quickly began to see him as a brother as well. They were each other's rock through his entire time with the Guild, and really his only regret regarding everything he did ten years prior (breaking into the vault, stealing what he could carry of the Guild's valuables, dumping Mercer's most prized possession into the canal) is that he didn't have time to speak to her and possibly bring her along. Growing up an orphan, raised by the Thieves Guild and losing her only friend who she saw as a brother is what gets us grumpy, backstabby Sapphire in game, so the headcanon goes. Eventually Kieran returns to Riften while looking for Esbern, having ignored his dragonborn blood long enough, and that means dealing with Sapphire again.
bonus: eons ago, I wrote about the two of them meeting again. I have plans to revamp and then repost my old writing on this here blog, but if you'd like a peek at the ole 1.0 version, it's here
🖊 Sweetroll named herself Sweetroll because she has absolutely no idea who she is, much less what her real name might be. She woke up in an island full of falmer with absolutely no memories, not even the most basic ones. Most things felt familiar, but she could not tell what they were called, nor what they were for, which led to some unusual situations such as biting into a septim, drinking a vial of mild poison, drinking an entire bottle of wine and passing out, and just in general ingesting a lot of strange ingredients because alone in an island with no memories made her go a little toddler mode. She finds she can still read, however, and becomes obsessed with books from that point forward. It is through books she relearns how society works, basically, but she still messes up quite a bit in social contexts. The first person who asks her name is Blaise, the boy in the Solitude Stables, and he tells her it's super cool that she doesn't remember, because that means she gets to pick a name. He says if he could, he'd name himself after something he likes - and sweet rolls are her favorite thing, so why not? Also no one's really sure what she is. Some people guess short nord, others imperial, but she's really good with magic so maybe breton? Really hard to tell. She'd hoped something about her appearance would stand out but really she is quite Generic Looking and it's no help at all.
🖊 Murien is a breton with a bit of a peculiar backstory. She has no idea who her birth parents were, nor where she came from; as an infant, she washed ashore near Dawnstar, neatly bundled and though cold, she was perfectly healthy. She was adopted by the nord couple who found her, and she was named Murien, 'born of the sea'. 'Sunbreaker' was a nickname given to her around the same time because she had very unusual, warm yellow eyes. As she grew, she decided to keep it as a last name. She left Skyrim for Cyrodiil when she was around 5, and grew up in the Imperial City. An incredibly boring life with parents who, as it turns out, were not ready to be parents and grew worse as time went on. She began working as a private tutor for increasingly posh families at 17, and also helped out with her father's blacksmithing business. By the time she turned 20, she could barely stand them both, but having grown up sheltered, lonely and manipulated, she stayed. At 25 she was the sole provider for the family, her parents' money being diverted to other ventures. Things reach a breaking point on her 28th birthday, when she receives a letter from her estranged maternal grandmother, who still lived in Dawnstar. As she makes it known that she would like to visit, a huge fight ensues, and later she books passage with a caravan going towards Bruma, leaving in the middle of the night with little else other than the clothes on her back and what little coin she could scavenge.
🖊 Rannadros' epithet, 'the Cursed', has quite a bit of history behind it. The man is, indeed, cursed, in the literal sense of the word. As a young young lad, Ranni, a nord, got incredibly drunk and woke up at the foot of a statue his own father, a dunmer, had built for Azura. He comes to find out that whatever it is he has done that night, she took it personally. Azura looked at this man and said fuck him specifically for what he's said, cursed him to slowly take the form of a dremora. He has no idea why, considering the dremora are not part of her domain, and he likely will never find out. All he knows is that after severe pain lasting over many days he woke up bigger than he was when he went to sleep and with a pair of horns that were both uncomfortable and terrifying to the average citizen. He tried apologizing, praying, going to a priest - nothing. He quickly became an outcast, lost his job, lost his friends, and even his family began stepping away from him. So he did what he would always do when life got hard: he drank. Twice as much as he did that night, a party that extended over another full day when he was invited by a shady man to find this place where wine ran like a river. When he finally came to, he was at Azura's feet again, but this time with a different name dancing on his lips: Sanguine. Sanguine, who found the whole thing hilarious and Rannadros too much of a snack to waste away being shunned by polite society. And so he bestows his blessing upon him: he could not revert Azura's curse, but he could at least slow it down and make it so others found him charming instead of terrifying. An already charismatic, confident Ranni turned the charm up to eleven and ventured forth to get his life back. And that is precisely what he did.
🖊 And finally, some quick facts about the kids: Kieran is addicted to collecting shiny things, that he later gives as gifts or slips into containers for people to find (but mostly hoards); Sweetroll has a horse named Horse, because she was really happy she remembered what they were called; Murien is a huge nerd, who studied Dovahzul for fun and becomes addicted to exploring dungeons once she manages to learn a combat skill to keep herself alive; Rannadros fell into an old well as a kid and found an old box from which he pulled the deed to a merchant vessel, which he kept hidden until he 1) found the damn thing and certified it was in one piece and 2) had to run away when the local lord's daughter started the rumor that she was pregnant with his child - he jumped headfirst into the sailor's life and never looked back.

THE POSITIVE & NEGATIVE: MUN & MUSE
Fill out & Repost ♥ This meme definitely favors Canons more, but I hope OC's still can make it somehow work with their own lore and Lil’ fandom of friends & mutuals. Multimuses pick the muse you are the most invested in atm.
Tagged by: @ifthearmorfits -- thank you opo!!
MY MUSE IS. canon / oc / au (...in-canon au, because transformers) / canon-divergent / fandomless
(I will be getting into spoiler territory with this, but given that you all are following this blog, you’ve probably stuck around long enough to already see what’s up haha.)
is your character popular in the fandom? YES / NO.
is your character considered hot™ in the fandom? WELL… / NO / IDK. (evidently a lot of people have it bad for the nerd but I don’t do NSFW on tumblr, so lol)
is your character considered strong in the fandom? YES / NO / IDK.
are they underrated? YES / NO.
were they relevant to the main story? YES / NO.
were they relevant to the main character? YES / NO.
are they widely known in their world? YES / NO.
how’s their reputation? GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL. (Given Rung’s quantum forgotten status WHO KNOWS)
HOW STRICTLY DO YOU FOLLOW CANON?
Putting it bluntly: Functionist alt. dimension Rung has a whole lot of plot holes. Swiss cheese boy. I’ve made liberal changes here and there so that he can play with a majority of muses in the MTMTE/LL community, but I’ve also taken a lot of free reign giving Rung’s general lack of backstory in-between spoiler/plot beats :P
SELL YOUR MUSE! (aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutual.)
Rung is a very rare type of character, being an ostensibly ‘masculine’ character (in regards of a human binary lens) who prides himself on empathy, understanding, and caring for others’ physical and mental wellbeing in ways that often linger in more ‘feminine’ realms (again, in approx. to the human binary); it interests me to be able to explore such concepts in a territory where, considering lore and implied history, there’s no societal concept of (human ideal culturally-imposed) gender. He’s a creator ‘deity’, he literally produces souls, but nothing about his design is meant to emphasize a human sense of reproduction/fertility/etc. Most people would never look at him and conclude who and what he is. There’s also the fact that he’s been methodically documented, experimented on, taken apart, and then tortured for approx. 2 million years and yet he refused to let that break him. Rung is unflinchingly kind, willing to reach a hand out to anyone who needs a shoulder to lean on even when he has nothing of his own to offer. Hell, he studied medicine and philosophy so he could build the foundations for the Cybertronian method of behavioral psychology because even without memories of being Primus, Rung wants to take care of his creations. ...And then you add in how absolutely adorable it is to watch this old man dodder about with his puzzles and models and big googly glasses and I love him so much okay--
NOW THE OPPOSITE! (list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?)
To be honest, Rung can be kind of a Mary Sue/over powered character in some people’s eyes. Like, what, this random character who’s new to the franchise and made specifically by the author is actually Transformers God who suffered amnesia? And is friendly and polite to everyone but also has a streak of keeping a grudge and survives literal untold horrors because his body can just heal itself?? And he spits out crystals that make up sparks??? OH AND HE’S MILLIONS OF YEARS OLD AND DID I MENTION HE’S GOD SOMEHOW AND THEN HE STRAIGHT UP JUST DIES TWICE IN CANON, WOW
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?
H,,,, Him round,,,,,,,, No really I just loved his design that much. Him round. Also both my mom and my granddad are shrinks so I have, like, a basic grasp on psych stuff after reading through their textbooks and watching my granddad’s old research films and study tapes, so it was familiar territory I settled on writing Functionist!Rung in specific because I sympathize with having weird + painful medical shit inflicted on you all the time and because the idea of someone so genuine and careful being the core of a revolutionary movement is really,,, makes my heart squeeze.
WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING?
hell if I know I’m just kinda here forever lmao
SOME MORE PERSONAL QUESTIONS FOR THE MUN.
do you think you give your character justice? YES / NO. needs more weird eldritch tech woogies but I’m terrified of alienating people
do you frequently write headcanons? YES / NO. (mostly as they get yoinked by the fandom at large and then my notifications break my phone)
do you sometimes write drabbles? YES / NO.
do you think a lot about your muse during the day? YES (to an extent because I write a lot of different muses and I’m constantly making/doing/playing something to keep my hands busy, so it’s inevitable) / NO.
are you confident in your portrayal? YES / NO.
are you confident in your writing? YES / NO.
are you a sensitive person? YES / NO.
DO YOU ACCEPT CRITICISM WELL ABOUT YOUR PORTRAYAL?
Criticism is the best way to grow as a creator, tbh, but I will say I think the biggest complaint is just how goddamn slow + forgetful I am hahaha,,
DO YOU LIKE QUESTIONS, WHICH HELP YOU EXPLORE YOUR CHARACTER?
Sure! I have a tags specifically for weird Cybertronian biology quirks and for Rung just rambling about things, and it’s fun to get to reveal bits and pieces of the backstory I’ve created for him.
IF SOMEONE DISAGREES TO A HEADCANON OF YOURS, DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY?
........I mean lmao you can tell me why you disagree but at the end of the day this is my personal portrayal of a specific version of a character who only shows up for like three issues of a 70+ issue long comic series.
IF SOMEONE DISAGREES WITH YOUR PORTRAYAL, HOW WOULD YOU TAKE IT?
There are several other fantastic Rung writers out there each with their own interpretations and understandings of the character, so like. Godspeed. Go, find the god your heart desires, and whatnot.
IF SOMEONE REALLY HATES YOUR CHARACTER, HOW DO YOU TAKE IT?
Do you hate my portrayal of Rung, or just Rung in general?? I know a few people who just straight up dislike any version of Rung at all, so there’s that.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH PEOPLE POINTING OUT YOUR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS?
English hard, hebrew and yiddish and spanish and romanian and german only. More seriously I was raised in an extremely weird house where English was the primary language but I was being taught by older people who never remembered which language they were using at the time. My first word was Mickey Mouse. I don’t know what’s happening. I went to art college. Please be gentle with me, sir.
DO YOU THINK YOU ARE EASY GOING AS A MUN?
Oh most likely. There’s only like... one or two things I will go out of my way to discourage or avoid + I’m generally just kinda here to make other people happy haha

A Generational study of Misha's wackydoodle fanbase.
This was the first post I ever did, on my blog. The post did very well, and that was because the hellers were reblogging and adding their own captions to the post, and other dumber hellers were leaving a like. So essentially they were creating traffic for my post without realizing it. Because their nasty fingerprints are all over this post, I want to repost an edited version with updated information and less typos. I remembered this post because of this interesting comment.
''In Twitter, in their own words, they have from 2 up 10 accounts. A lot of free time, I assume. I barely have time to enter tumblr xD''
Immediately, the Profound Bonds census came to mind. I remember seeing a prominent amount of children. And on one page, there was only one 37 year old. I was surprised. I wish I could use a screenshot of that page, but the hellers deleted the entire census. I wonder why. The above comment and the census, is the reason I am reposting an amended version of this.
Enjoy!
Impassioned fans can be very annoying. Like any fanatic, [in the words of Spike Milligan] they don't enjoy their favorite art. They suffer from it. However, most of the time, you find a way to chill with them, and you will be able to have a conversation about something or the other. You might even share their enthusiasm, unless they start behaving creepily and nauseating you. The hellers are the latter breed of freak. They are the creepiest, most nauseating but most mobilized and active part of this fandom, because they have a hierarchy that operates their entire system. There are influencers and drones. Seeing an influencers will give you the impression that hellers are a group of grown women, however, that is not the case. Only the influencer are older. The drones are young. Sometimes painfully young.
Understanding slash is one of the things that allowed me to understand why these people are so subservient towards Misha, and why they never question him. There are other factors like his cult leader behavior, however, there is a particular group that he targets and he uses social media to do it. Slash is almost a century old. And each generation behaved in a specific way, regarding slash fiction. The earlier generations were very covert. It may have had something to do with modesty. It may also have had something to do with “outsiders ruining our fun”. As far as Supernatural is concerned, three generations of slash fans are represented.
I am using the word generation here, from a marketing demographic perspectives, because this seems like the most sensible way to categorize slash fans. Believe me, I am fully aware I am over simplifying this. I am trying to write a short blog. In no way, am I throwing shade at your generation. I just like mine the most. lol!!!
There are three major generations in this fandom, that indulge in slash fiction:
Generation X: These are slash fans born between 1965 and 1979.
Generation Y aka Millenials: These are slash fans born between 1980 and 1994.
Generation Z aka Centennials: These are slash fans born after 1994.
Generation X is that last generation of classic slashers. This is a covert group that doesn’t like to share its artworks and works of fiction with outsiders. If they remained underground and secret forever, they wouldn’t mind. And if that mindset remained, nobody would even know that slash fiction exists. As a member of this generation, I wish that things had stayed this way, but understand that society changes. Its evitable. Gen Xers usually don’t ship just one pair because it would seem a little foolhardy to pin all your slashy happiness on one pair that you put together. There are plenty of pretty fish in the sea and we tend to mix 'n match. There may be pairings we will like more than others, but generally speaking, we don't have issues with working through a cast like a buffet and enjoying different pairings.
Younger generations of J2 fans were influenced by this generation's writings and therefore share the same opinions. If there are any destiel shippers in this group, three suppositions are likely. First, they are either, hidden away from social media and don't know about this death threat drama, and they don't have any frenzied love for destiel where it blinds them. Misha is not influencing them via social media either. They have a life and destiel is just their pass time. Or, they are influencers who are older and therefore that sway the minds of younger people. I theorize, however, that most of the destiel shippers in this generation deserted the ship and moved on.
The Y generation or millenial brought two changes to slash fiction. From a western standpoint, this generation started to become inclusive and politically correct, making their work LGBT oriented rather than hetero/bi female oriented to the detriment of the artform. The greatest irony is that mpreg [the last remnance of femininity] was born at the tail end of this generation. My previous theory about this group was wrong. I thought they were a quiet group. But no. All the Lua Jame's, Janelle's and Exorcising Emily's are coming this group. This means that the influencers, the first users of social media in other words, are from this generation. Perhaps, the normal non-criminal thinking, nice destiel shippers come from this generation too.
Generation Z or centennials are the youngest generation, making them the least experienced, with the least filter. They don’t think before they speak, but boy do they have a lot to say. They tend to use social justice and politics to push the validity of their ship. They are like junkies when it comes to their ship and Misha Collins is the only dealer they have. They look for other dealers which is why they tend to ask all and sundry, what their opinion is with regard to destiel.
They based their opinion of that person, on how that person responds to destiel. Its like a pothead who only likes people who say that smoking pot is ok. And if that person is indifferent to destiel, they will collectively attack that individual. The only reason is because they are young. Its only when I looked at their census, that I realized that many of them are as young as 13. So most of them are children. In Misha's heller army, these kids are the soldiers, bashing Jensen and Jared online and voting for Misha to win an award. Lets hope their taste chances as they grow.
Misha and his influencer, have convinced these people that what they feel is true, and because they are still young, they don't know any better. Even a non heller might feel insulted by this analysis of an entire generation but believe me. I am not critiquing you. I am merely pointing out that your brain doesn't fully develop until you hit 40. You are not a child, I concur. But you are not a complete adult. Get to my age, look back at life, and realize how many times circumstances forced you to change your opinion about various subjects. I wager that about ten years from now, the hellers will look back at their behavior and cringe. They don't know any better and the adults around them are not teaching them to do the right thing.
So Misha’s primary fanbase are a bunch of children, who are spread around the globe, and who don't affect of the ratings, have generally no money of their own so they cant buy seats for his panel or photo-ops or raise a decent amount for anything he is auctioning. They couldn't attend Indycon so it flopped. Not that he has that many fans to start with. And they don’t recognize that Misha is trolling them with destiel, because they are too young to understand.
Misha has the dumbest cult following ever, because he attached him to Jensen and Dean. And Jensen doesn't even spend anytime with Misha outside of work. So the shippy calling card Misha waves will catch fire in his hands. He is also attracting children and they will grow up to eventually change their mind and taste in men. The influencers are likely to stick with him, unless they get bored with the lack of Jensen and move on. So consequently, Misha and his hellers wont benefit each other in the long run.
I have a feeling there may still be typos. Excuse them, please.

MUN QUESTIONS.
Q1: IF YOU COULD WRITE YOUR CHARACTER YOUR WAY IN THEIR OWN MOVIE, WHAT WOULD IT BE CALLED, WHAT STYLE WOULD IT BE FILMED IN, AND WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?:
-
Q2: WHAT WOULD THEIR SOUNDTRACK / SCORE SOUND LIKE?:
-
Q3: WHY DID YOU START WRITING THIS CHARACTER?:
After some years or so, I’ve finally decided to return to the FFXIV rp scene with Luke as my fourth WOL that I’ve created. I just needed something new, at first, and to maybe dip my hands a little into writing original characters. I did write them before but not as much as I’ve written canon characters ( 98% of the time, really ).
Q4: WHAT FIRST ATTRACTED YOU TO THIS CHARACTER?:
As I played his character in the game, his dialogues and thought process appeared in my head and there we have it.
Q5: DESCRIBE THE BIGGEST THING YOU DISLIKE ABOUT YOUR MUSE:
He’s rather internalized and indecisive. I probably wouldn’t get along with him very well irl since I’m usually very straightforward, swift and prefers not to complicate things lmao.
Q6: WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN COMMON WITH YOUR MUSE?:
We are both really chill people and very introverted. Soft colours are our favourite too and uhhh... we are both pretty short ? but I guess this goes for a lot of midlander hyurs in comparison to elezens, roegadyns and au ra males. We like sketching too and are very, very vanilla physically ( i make a lot of innuendos for laughs though while Luke doesn’t ). But ultimately for me, I’m an aro/ace while he’s demi/demi.
Q7: HOW DOES YOUR MUSE FEEL ABOUT YOU?:
While we probably disagree with a lot of things, Luke probably likes the quiet, chill and need to be alone that comes along with me. There isn’t much opinion I’d imagine him having with me, other than the fact that I really need to do the shit that I wanted myself to do and quit adding more muses onto my full hands lmao.
Q8: WHAT CHARACTERS DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE INTERESTING INTERACTIONS WITH?
With my other muse, Laipheaux. While he’s often with Estelle, Luke really has a deeper sibling connection with Laipheaux because of how much he looks up to him and how Laipheaux is the one who managed to coax him into becoming more comfortable around people. He visits Laipheaux a lot and Laiph at times can tell when sometimes is weighing heavily in Luke’s mind but doesn’t pry. Luke was devastated when Laiph returned to the forest, of course, but becomes calmer when Laiph visits from time to time, bringing him small animals and minions as a show that Laiph still cares and that their sibling ship hasn’t eradicated.
Q9: WHAT GIVES YOU INSPIRATION TO WRITE YOUR MUSE?:
Mainly, my love for the game. I’ve been playing it for a long time and I just can’t get tired of restarting the storyline over and over again. I still need to get past the msqs though but I have a blast playing it when Luke is on the screen.
Q10: HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE YOU TO COMPLETE?:
A few hours, to be honest, since there are some questions that I need a lot of googling to answer.
#☆ ❜ MORE INFO / LUKE → level up !!#4 more to do for other ffxiv muses#1 more for sephiroth........ another 1 more for my bnha blog.#*flexes fingers.*

Wow! Great post OP! I’d like to ramble too now lol
(Solitary Cyclist is my favorite story they’ve filmed, and fun fact if you didn’t know, it was the FIRST one they filmed?? I look forward to reading your post about it)
Also, David Burke is also my favorite Watson. As someone who has watched the Grenada many times. Yes. He and Jeremy just have an immediate chemistry as our favorite duo, equals and not taking each others’ crap while caring for each other and supporting and loving each other. It’s lovely.
The next Watson in the show, Edward Hardwick, is still great, but it takes several seasons for me to warm up to him, even each time I watch the show. The dynamic is different, he’s definitely an older version of Watson, but perhaps this works, in the context of the time in the show. The thing for me is that Burke and Brett are immediately on the same page, immediately have their dynamic, it just slots into place. Hardwick and Brett take a little more time to find their dynamic, but once they do it’s golden.
I think because of this, Burke is my favorite Watson, because even though he had less time, the chemistry was just so good.
I’m so glad there is another Grenada fan to interact with! I encourage every fan of Sherlock— especially BBC fans who are curious about the books but are intimidated by reading them for whatever reason— to watch this show. It is so passionate about the original cannon. I wrote an essay on Brett in high school, and long story short he put everything into this role. He played it for 10 years and tried to wring himself out and absorb Sherlock holmes, and it was ultimately to his detriment. It made him really depressed in later life, and that certainly didn’t help his declining health. He read the books, and made a manual for Holmes’ mannerisms, his backstory Brett headcannoned for him, the way he thinks, everything. He always had it on set with him. By the end of his career, he hated Holmes, he said he would never want to meet him. It’s all very interesting, and sometimes it’s conflicting to consume media knowing it caused people pain, but it also feels a bit wrong to discard something when someone poured their soul into it like that.
Hah I kind of got off topic. But yeah Grenada series is the most accurate depiction of the books I’ve ever seen. High production quality, high rewatchability. Plus, Watson never gets married in this version so it’s even a little more queer coded 😂😂 (that’s like one of the only things they changed) (my guess is they didn’t want to deal with the screwed up timeline, so they just. Didn’t.)
I also just found the Russian Sherlock Holmes. I’m only two episodes in right now, but I’d say it’s on a similar level to Grenada as an adaptation, but for very different reasons. It definitely takes its liberties in changing details about the stories and embellishing certain things where it can, crafting a slightly different narrative, but it does it so well. I think in a way it focuses a little more effort into Watson and Holmes’ relationship, which is very nice. They are so goofy together in this version, it’s so refreshing to see Holmes portrayed with actual emotions. (Grenada doesn’t avoid Holmes’ emotions by any means, but it’s a different flavor.) I could rant about it but others have done it better, if you’re curious about Holmes and emotions, go to my page and scroll down a bit, I’ve reposted people’s rants/quotings of the book and it’s all very interesting.
Anyway, welcome to the fandom for anyone joining, and welcome back to others! I know we are all going to celebrate when the last of the Sherlock Holmes cannon is released!
Watching Granada Holmes: On David Burke as Dr Watson
Okay so before I watch the next Granada episode, Empty House, I need to say goodbye to David Burke as Dr John Watson. David Burke couldn’t continue with Granada’s adaptation after FINA due to scheduling conflicts, which led to him helping them find his replacement, Edward Hardwicke.
This post is me processing that in the hope that I can learn to love Edward Hardwicke as Watson without feeling too disappointed he’s not David Burke.
You see, going into Granada Holmes, I’d already been informed that Jeremy Brett is the Sherlock Holmes. This is definitely true. However, at this moment, all I can say that for me, David Burke will be the Dr John Watson.
My tag for David Burke is “he smiles with his whole face”. Right from the start, his expressiveness intrigued me, and made it very easy to feel like I was part of the story. His openness invited me as the audience in. It also doesn’t hurt that he has a very fine voice - I’ve memorised the way he says “Holmes and other words like “black moods”. They’re very fun to say in his accent!
Watching the Granada Holmes series has felt very personal. For starters, watching TV shows or movies are always immersive experiences for me, due to the way my brain processes information. I get “sucked in” to the story very easily - it feels like I’m another character, almost, observing. It’s also hard because I’m having to process the audio-visual information, the language, the social information, the emotional contexts - and anything they trigger in me from past experiences - all at once.
Granada Holmes is a very safe way to do that, because most of the time, the bad guys get their comeuppance in the end, and the client of the week has resolution, and perhaps catharsis.
It also feels very safe because Holmes and Watson guide me through it. I’ll say more about Jeremy Brett at the end of my entire watch through, but for David Burke, my “oh, you’re my Watson” journey really took flight with the end of Solitary Cyclist.
See, the thing about David Burke’s Watson isn’t just that he’s very expressive. He’s very reassuring. Steady and dependable, but also openly delighted in Holmes’s brilliance. A perfect foil for the audience.
He’s the one who instinctively knows how to handle clients (see: any Woman in Need episode), and takes care of Holmes almost before Holmes knows he needs it (see: Norwood Builder) - and when he’s protecting you/ the client, by goodness do you feel it.
You’ll recall that I had plenty to say about Solitary Cyclist, so much so that I wrote two posts for it. One about the episode recap, and another, which I wrote first, of my feelings about the episode’s context. Look, the Woman In Need episodes always strike a little close to home for me for various reasons. And after my first experience of that in Solitary Cyclist, one of the things that comforted me after was remembering, well, this moment:
[Image description: Watson holds the drugged Violet Smith to him protectively with one hand while holding his gun with the other, a very serious look on his face. /end image description.]
Followed by this one:
Watson: “You may call that love. I call it selfishness.”
[Image description: Holmes and Watson sit side-by-side, staring in disgust at one of the baddies of the story. /end image description.]
In the first scene, Watson was Violet Smith’s physical protector at a time when she couldn’t defend herself. His words afterward, a delightful castigation of the villain. As a woman, hearing someone say those things (and keep saying them in other episodes), whether to the perpetrator as a scold, to the client/ victim in comfort, or to Holmes about how very serious the situation is, has been good.
It helps that Burke’s Watson also has this “softness with a core of steel” energy. The sort of energy that makes one think, if I was in trouble, I would very much like to have Burke’s Watson protect me and tell me it wasn’t my fault and such (while Brett’s Holmes solved the problem that had trapped me in the first place).
Basically, I would very much like to be their friend. Or their honourary relation (which is what they are to the Women In Need).
We see the Sherlock Holmes stories through Watson’s eyes, as he is the Narrator. (A fact brought home by Granada’s adaptation of The Final Problem.) Having David Burke in the role has been very comforting - and fun. We experience his emotions with him, and I have deeply enjoyed it.

SHIPPING INFO | ABOUT MUN. REPOST DON’T REBLOG
✧ WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE ?
Ugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh idk man. Airn/The Ocean. Jkjk, I can give you my top three? I really can’t narrow it down to one. These three are probably otp just because of the sheer amount of WORK put into them. And in that sense, first is gonna have to be @ladywiththecoldeyes in v; shipwreck because it’s been like...two years? of hardcore character development. I don’t think Airn has a stronger relationship than this one. (Strong here does not mean flawless okay but def most intense). And then OF COURSE @lostartfuldodger bc while Cas and I haven’t written as much in actual threading THERE IS SO MUCH PLOTTED. Even if it’s not written out, I FEEL like it’s happened so there’s still that super intense attachment. And it’s the most magical ship okay like adorable and heartbreaking all at once AND THAT’S NOT COUNTING THEIR AUS. Aaaaaand @airanddarkness bc how could I not XD Airn’s first ship on tumblr, I think! And come on, pirate/royalty will always be golden.
✧ WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING ?
Cheeeeeeemistry. I will even accept animosity as a form of chemistry. (See Lara/Airn marriage plot lmao) As long as SOME sort of dynamic is going on, I’ll probably be down to ship it.
✧ HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE ?
I mean. Airn is 2,000+ and has a Thing for humans and also has gotten involved with things older and more powerful than him, so age really doesn’t matter? That said, there will be no ships with children here.
✧ ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING ?:
Not really? Like I said above, my only real stipulation is chemistry. As long as something interesting is happening, I probably ship it.
✧ HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW?
I’m not really as strict about nsfw tagging on writing as I am on photos. My mindset is that someone can glance over your shoulder and see boobs and dick and that’s super obvious, but words, at a glance, are not intrinsically nsfw until you start putting them all together. So lmao idk at all I just usually slap the tag on when my partner does. Your comfort = my comfort.
✧ WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH ?
@themaidenmuirin; @seabeastic; @theabandonedmuses; @tellurianwitch and she’s not on tumblr anymore but Locret
✧ DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU ?
lmao um yes? This feels like “does one have to ask to go on a date with you” like YES I’D LIKE TO KNOW IT’S HAPPENING AND GIVE MY INPUT TO THE THING WTF
✧ HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP ?:
Does this mean how often do I like to write shippy things? Bc I view shipping as more of a constant background state than an action in itself. I feel like I’m repeating myself but goddamn as long as it’s interesting I’m gonna be into it. Whether that’s romantic shipping, platonic shipping, an adventure story, a huge involved murder-mystery plot, WHATEVER YOU GOT.
✧ ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS ?
:
More-or-less I guess. I’m not specifically here for it, but I hella enjoy it when it happens.
✧ ARE YOU MULTISHIP ?
Kinda? lol Airn’s poly and everything takes place in the default mainverse unless my partner has a preference otherwise. Like shipwreck verse only came about because another writer got a little twitchy about timelines between our three characters. And Cas prefers closed verses for her ships with Kenzi. I’m chill af, bros, I don’t mind at all if you need a separate verse or if it will avoid drama. I mostly keep everything together for laziness’ sake XD And also bc it gets weird having different versions of mainverse Airn. Like, I couldn’t pull shipwreck!Airn out of that verse now and stick him in any other because he’s changed so much.
✧ WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SHIP(S) IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM ?
Lol what fandom. The Fomoire? I ship him with all of them. YES ALL THE FOMOIRE BLOGS COME SMOOCH MY CUDDLY DANGER OCTOPUS.
✧ FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU ?:
Probably helps if we’ve started writing already but I’ll accept cold opens too. XD Just talk to me on discord or skype or even tumblr IM. I love discussing character dynamics even if it doesn’t turn into a ship. But it probably will lmao.
TAGGING: If I tagged you in the body of this thing do it. TAGGED BY: @lostartfuldodger and then @airanddarkness later XD

Ask the Admins 10.0
@genosha-meiuqer: This is to Admin M -- Out of curiosity, do you drive anything like a War Boy?
M: Yes. That is actually a problem I have irl. I drive far too fast. Haven’t gotten pulled over yet though! (knock on wood)
Anon asked: Describe yourself in one adjective.
Chamomile: Talkative
M: Witty
Syren: Enthusiastic
Jynn: Resilient
Vox: Amiable
Anon asked: Do you have other sister blogs or affiliate blogs about writing? Or maybe you can rec us other writing blogs? Not that auideas is not awesome, loving this blog! Just, you know, want to follow other blog. Thanks! Loving your aus btw!
Chamomile: We have @nsfw-auideas, which has been inactive for a while since I became uncomfortable running it and the other admins sort of dropped of….but for blogs that inspire me, I always love @writing-prompt-s because they give me ideas for prompts with their prompts (if that makes sense, lmao) and also from fanfiction/fanart. I get //so// much inspiration from fanfiction/fanart.
M: Yeah we have our NSFW blog, but that’s pretty much it, and I don’t really have a lot of time at the moment to look at other blogs, so this is definitely one for the other admins to answer.
Syren: I second what Chamomile mentioned, and I also get a lot of inspiration from @inell who is a writing machine in the Sterek fandom. It's insane how many stories she churns out, and they often help me mindlessly brainstorm, if that makes any sense??
Jynn: I get a lot of inspiration from @otpprompts!
Vox: @otpprompts and @writing-prompt-s are two other really great prompt blogs! ( ≧▽≦)
Anon asked: curious about the new assistant admins. mind doing information pages for them like you did for the admins?
Chamomile: Here’s all of our pages: Chamomile // M // Syren // Jynn // Vox
Anon asked: When I'm grown, a martyr I will never be. I won't cry for you. I won't suffer for the things you do. I won't cry for you, see. Even though I understand you, Kankri.
Chamomile: this is a sin
M: get outta here
Syren: *Castiel voice* I don't understand that reference.
Jynn: I had to actually go back and find this song again for Chamomile so I just have to say how dare you make me relive that.
Vox: This ask has 6een marked as triggera6le and will 6e taken d9wn by Kankri Vantas. (ง •̀_•́)ง
Anon asked: So I know that this blog is SFW, but do you mind if I use your prompts in a NSFW story?
Chamomile: That’s totally fine! Whatever you do with our prompts is totally up to you.
M: ^^^^^
Anon asked: Have you decided what theme you'll be using? I remember a while back one of the admins asked what the followers think about the current theme.
Chamomile: Oh yeah, we got this solved a long while back. If anybody has a theme that they think is really nice and that we should try out, then send it to us!
Anon asked: What is your opinion on "Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life"?
Chamomile: get out
M: leeeeeeeave
Syren: I am daily surrounded by meme trash and could probably recite it perfectly if I tried. I am only slightly ashamed.
Jynn: I'll never forget it. That being said, I never want it in my presence ever again.
Vox: You scream, I scream, we all scream for Dank Memes™
Anon asked: I finally talked to my future college roommate. Accidentally ignore her email for a week tho... Not really off to a great start?
Chamomile: I can’t tell if this is a prompt or you telling us about your day but my advice would be to get her a card that’s like “I’m sorry I ignored your email for a week” and then some candy or whatever else she likes.
M: Lol man that did not happen with my current roommate - we actually sent each other our first introductory emails at the exact same moment even though I was across the country. Thankfully, we’ve clicked very well, but I would recommend not getting on their bad side right away, or that’ll make your year not so much fun.
Syren: Dude, I am the worst person at communicating possibly ever. I have lost friends because I forget to reply to them for months, no joke. I've found the best way to make it up is to be as sincere with your apology as possible. I've learned not to make excuses. Don't sweat it!
Jynn: I'm glad you reached out to your roommate, good job! I'd go with Chamomiles card and candy idea.
Vox: -looks at the messages I have in Line that are months old- -l a u g h s- Oh honey.
Anon asked: Do you (admins and assistants) know how to make gifs? Also, how do you pronounce "gifs"? "Jifs" or "gifs".
Chamomile: I have no clue on how to make a gif, and I pronounce it like “gift” without a “t”.
M: Gifs. Hard G. I will fight you on this.
Syren: I have no clue how to make a gif, though I've been thinking about learning (barely any gifs out there for When We Rise). Hard g.
Jynn: There are tons of gif makers online, I also have an app for that. I pronounce it “Gif” with a hard G
Vox: I LOVE making gifs!! They’re super fun. Also I use both alternatively.
Anon asked: how do the admins like the new assistants? And how do the assistants like the admins?
Chamomile: I think they’re pretty great! Everybody has been really good with getting their prompts in the drafts so admin m and I can approve them. No real problems.
M: Two thumbs up from me! I can now feel more stress about my school and social life than about this darn blog...
Syren: They're all generally fabulous people and make me feel welcomed. I'm the youngest of the bunch, but that doesn't change anything. Also, I have a habit for apologizing for everything, and they always assure me that it's all good and that they've all been there.
Jynn: Chamomile, Em, and I have actually all been friends for upwards of a couple years now, and I've contributed to the blog here and there before so it hasn't been super different for me tbh.
Vox: If I could put emojis into replies, this right here would just be a string of sparkles and hearts. Everyone’s been really nice!!
Anon asked: I haven't been on this site since forever and I just got back. Nice to see more prompts that I can add to my growing list of things I want to try writing :) (Also, "Runaway" and "So Sad, So Sad" are some of my favorite songs! :D )
Chamomile: Eeeeee! Thanks for loving the blog! Also I know right, I have some pretty good music taste if I do say so myself ;)
Anon asked: Knowing that someone else uses Japanese emoticons makes me really happy. \\\ (۶ÒワÒ)۶//// Where do you get yours from, Vox? An app, website, or other?
Vox: Yaaaaa, kaomoji are super funnnnn!! ☆⌒(*^-°)v I have a Japanese keyboard on my phone so I automatically have a bunch of them readily available.
Anon asked: Choose five of the blog's followers that you've talked to a fair amount and say what story genre you think they would be a character in, and if they would be a protag or antag.
Chamomile: Instead of choosing just five, I went with all of them. Here’s the link
M: I willllllll do this over break - expect a post on my admin blog!
Anon asked: If life was a standardized test, you would be "Answer B" because I always turn to you when I don't know what to do.
Chamomile:....that’s actually really sweet?
M: Omfg.
Syren: This would be really cute if the thought of standardized tests didn't throw me into a panic over upcoming midterms, SATs, and ACTs
Jynn: Awwwwww!
Vox: I’m in various stages of oh god and that’s so sweet and lol my name is actually Bee so this is kind of great, are you flirting with me anon, winkwink. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Anon asked: What do you call a flirty Greek? A Socratease
Chamomile: The King of flirty Greeks is Mithridatetease (Mithridates)
M: Get out.
Syren: As long as they don't have an Oedipus complex, they can tease all they want
Jynn: More like MithriDATEs
Vox: Has war flashbacks to Greek myth lectures. Sweats nervously.
@all-made-of-stardust asked: So I love your blog, and I especially love all your Never Book quotes. I was wondering - what's your policy on using those quotes? Can I directly use the whole quote? Should I change it a bit? Should I not use it at all? There's several quotes I have been thinking about using, and I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right.
Chamomile: hey there! This is a pretty popular question, but our policy is that you can change it however you want (adding in words, changing pronouns, etc.) but don’t repost it anywhere without crediting us. Cutting our parts is also totally fine. If you write something inspired by TNB, or has a TNB quote in it, make sure to shoot us a message and we’ll make sure to add it to the follower’s works page!
@ihaveatheoryabouttimetravel asked: What exactly is the never book?
Chamomile: Hey! I’m the creator of The Never Book (TNB) and here’s the long version of how/why I created it (link), but the short version is that TNB is supposed to be a collection of writing prompts to help inspire you to write. Some of them are very dramatic, while other ones are humorous, and other ones are meant to be cliffhangers that make you want to write what happens next. The name “The Never Book” is supposed to imply that all of these quotes come from a story that has never been written, meaning that they’re free game for prompts as well as to make stories out of.
Note: I’ve entertained the idea of trying to write a piece of fiction with a ton of TNB quotes crammed into it. Might try to get around to that if anybody is interested.
Anon asked: Is it okay to Writer's Block shame a friend who has an almost complete first chapter for 57 different fanfiction pieces???
Chamomile: #me
M: Shame us all
Syren: I'm too fragile to be bombarded like this
Jynn: I'm being called out.
Vox: First of all how dare, it’s only 56. (ง •̀_•́)ง
anon asked: tbh between chamomile and m i really thought that chamomile was younger. i have been surprised but not unpleasantly so
Chamomile: I’m definitely shorter and rounder than admin m, but I’m older by like, a year and a half? Something like that?
M: I am the alpha.
anon asked: assistant admins, what’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Syren: Blue Moon (it's an upper Midwest thing I guess)
Jynn: Chocolate
Vox: Mint chocolate chip
