Hi ivy! Have you seen a most violent year?

UH YEAH. It has a quiet brilliance to it. Gives me a touch of Godfather and a touch of Rocky (part 1) vibes. It’s set in 1981 I think, but definitely has that 70s feel.

Abel Morales is a whole ass snack. Sincere, dedicated, honorable with a sliver of corruption, gentle yet commanding. The acting in this movie is 💯💯💯

Oscar is so so sosososos talented - like to this day - he is still underrated, despite the praise some of his roles have gotten, and despite the big budget roles he’s done.

im not gonna do all of them (grimms game) since its a lot and i didnt post the rest of them yet, so lets just stick to main trio and the sadist duo bc i post those 5 the most akjbsc

abel

bro sleeps in his boxers and whatever shirt/top he finds and is comfy enough to sleep in (sometimes shirtless when its warm). he got problems w sleeping tho (insomnia and nightmares) so he doesnt rlly get a healthy amount of sleep like he should (but he learned to function despite that) - v chaotic sleeper, absolutely drools in his sleep and gets the worst bed hair bc he turns a lot in his sleep. always kicks off his blankets and likes hugging pillows or anything similar (holding onto smth in his sleep gives him comfort) - in his worst nights he wakes up crying and needs some time to come back to his senses.

mars

wears soft comfy sweatpants (or shorts when its too warm) and loose shirts. shes a night owl and goes to bed rather late but gets up earlier than the guys (she still gets enough sleep she needs) - shes no chaotic sleeper, doesnt snore, doesnt drool, nothing. one of the few ppl who can actually fall asleep right away as soon as their head hits the pillow (how???). has a light sleep and is alert right away when woken up by noise (experience from her life on the streets). u often see her sleeping curled up like a cat as if to protect herself.

tay

actually wears pjs. gets to bed early, is a heavy sleeper and sleeps normal amounts (mars is always the first whos awake, then tay and abel is last by far). he always needs a bit to wake up properly but once hes back to the living hes always the brightest sunshine in the morning (as he usually is). tends to babble and snore sometimes (not loud tho, just lil huffs sometimes)

youri + kaia

those two you wonder if they ever sleep bc they seem like they never rest. kaia also suffers from insomnia and nightmares so shes usually forced to sleep regularly with the help of strong medication to get some rest at least. she only sleeps if youri is awake and around her bc once asleep shes out cold and vulnerable.

youri is a very light sleeper and alert and ready at all times so whenever he guards he uses the time to rest and recharge. when he actually sleeps its only for a few hours and not when kaia is asleep.

theyre both very silent sleepers you could mistake for dead (or awake and just fooling you). abel can usually only tell that youri is actually sleeping and not just resting his eyes or smth by the way his face softens a bit when hes asleep.

1. Why do you like this character?

the way he is a total Boss Bitch but at the same time the wettest cat you've ever seen, you just need to poke at one of his pressure points and he'll drop his sword and burst into tears<3 also the way he has every reason to be jealous of Wwx and he is but that doesn't stop him from being super proud whenever Wwx is showing off

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

his bitchiness and tsundere-ness, love a character who's super soft inside but can't communicate that any other way than saying "I'll break your legs" to his most loved ones<3

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

i am 100% sure that JC sabotaged the matchmaking efforts himself, like sure he's a complete mess but there's no way he's unmatchable. I say he just does not want to marry anymore, he may once have craved a connection like this, to have a wife and kids, but after everything and especially with the way he wants to take care of Jin Ling, he does not want that complication in his life, plus he's scared of opening himself up to someone else after he lost basically everyone he ever loved. He behaved like a complete asshole on purpose i'm sure of it

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

obviously Chengqing!!! they are the same, they are not each other's priority but that's exactly what draws them to one another. they are characters who are stuck in a war drama but desperate to be in a romance. plus their stubbornness clashes so hard they'll have the most epic and sexual-tension-laden fights and that's the spiciness that first drew me to this ship

at first i thought he was kind of an asshole. now i still think he's an asshole but i love that about him<3

Hi, it's me! The anon who asked about Cain with The Demifiend's design. Now that you mentioned it, the Nahobino's (a character from SMT V) human form could be Abel's design.

Hello! nice to see you again. I don't know this character either and I really hope this is the one you are referring to.

I think it's a good proposal for a design. Very interesting. I read a little about him to find out how he could relate to Abel, and I think his personality fits a lot with what the Fandom could attribute to Abel.

If you have more ideas for Cain and Abel or if you are working on an AU it would be nice to hear more about it.

I kinda like the SCP interpretation of the brothers and I'm thinking about making a small AU based on it, because I think the series should really show the side of the story of the winners who were victims of sinners and how Charlie's Redemption project would affect them emotionally. Especially souls who still carry trauma with them, and Abel could be a good character to explore these themes.

[ LOVE ]:     the writer begins the first of a series of love letters to the recipient.

The letter arrives a few weeks into Abel's last enlistment, a call for the sons of the French finest to quell unrest in the near capital. It was longer by far than any of the ones from the previous time he had been in Paris for a long period of time but again, it only made sense that the length of such correspondence would be different in order to properly reflect that of their relationship.

The letter was collected by Émilie though her touch is barely felt over the envelope. It is done so that her parents and others within the house could remain ignorant of that fact for as long as it could be afforded, or for as long as they wanted. The letter is given with a small smile, without preamble, just as Émilie tore her own letter open, swiftly making her way to her own room.

Within, in perfect handwriting, it reads:

Dearest Johanna,

A thought has occurred to me and has stuck with me ever since it took root. I have attempted multiple times to start this letter but I find myself unhappy with the result each time. It is a thought that fills me with dread and while I fear that just speaking it into existence will grant it power over the two of us I feel I must be freed from my worst assumptions.

It occurred to me how, perhaps, this is unfair. The letters, my attention, my requests for your time and attention and what that might mean for someone like you. How these situations (and, as it should follow, myself) might make you uncomfortable. As I write this, know that none of this spawned from your words (written or otherwise). Your kindness, sheer staggering intelligence and patience have been and will always be dearly cherished.

For all my other faults I am too conscious of my shortcomings and my lack of grace in social situations (which you seem to be natural in) and what that might mean for my lack of understanding something that perhaps for others should be obvious. That is never a position I want to put you in, especially with how much you have given to my family.

One less perceptive than yourself could perhaps believe that this perceived inborn talent is something I envy. I do not envy it but admire it to a level where words fail: such social events (and cues) make me feel uneasier than they should for one born into this life, and I cannot imagine that you don't feel them too. I might be wrong in my conclusion, but I believe you are simply better at hiding them.

All of this endless rambling to say, miss Johanna, while it would hurt for I do truly enjoy your company and words endlessly, as well as keeping you from your duties, I hope you know that at any moment you could tell me to keep my distance.

I have given you my word and it remains true: I am here to be a friendly ear, for your smiles and lavish stories but too for when the weight is too much - however, if that is not desired for one reason or another, I would understand.

I will not deny that the thought of returning to you and being a satellite in your orbit is the one thing that keeps me afloat when I am needed in Paris. It is the thought of the small moments where you hold my hand that lights my path back home. Perhaps these words are too much, but I've been chastised for the opposite for much of my life; I do not regret that much either. There are several roles so full of heart. I am blown away every time I watch a new project. Just be advised (whoever might read this and doesn't already know? 🤷) Oscar seems to like projects that wreak emotional havoc on his character and plenty of times his character dies.
