#small town girl here but when i had a New Car in a city i always locked it#and my locks got drilled 🤷♀️ and literally couldn’t be fixed without replacing the doors and trunk#so like girl why if someone wants in your car they’ll get in#at least this way they won’t break a window or whatever on the way to seeing that you have nothing

#astral chain#astralchain#akira howard#platinum games#cat#fanart#i didn't write it on the tag back then#but what i was thinking when i made that past piece was him reflecting how it would be if he lost both her father and sister#he would truly be alone so on his free time he just spent time sitting beside that window mindlessly while thinking what could have been#like his sister could have knocked the door and come in any moment now#his father would came in with warm take outs for them to eat there#but then i just read recently that the sister he has in the end was one of the clone with memories planted by dr. brenda#and then suddenly i am sad again :'^\#i thought it was just one of her magically left out & appeared somewhere & have the noah memory fragments lost#but now i thought of it as when akira was heading back he found one of the pod was still unopened#and so they took her in#it makes much more sense but then it makes me think of how much a fake replacement she is now#i wonder if it's kinda painful for him to look at her now#knowing the original one who went through all that things with him is truly gone#and this one just starts things with him without actually did all those things with him before#just by getting some memories handed to her#me: i wish there are more astral chain fanarts#astral chain: *being the game that has characters with difficult attributes & legions to draw*#i find guys with this kind of haircut is cute#♡

why would anyone make a refrigerator with glass shelves where the glass doesn’t lift out so you can clean it. why are mine encased in a horrible plastic rim i had to crack off and hopefully super glue back together. *I* know what i spilled in this fridge (cracked jar of pickles) but what the fuck did my landlord spill in this fridge and why is there so much brown sludge trapped in the plastic edge
#listen a lot of times simply cleaning something fixes a lot of problems but not here i think#also the door is soooo so so creaky and the plastic seals are kind of shot.#i want this thing replaced but i also want real ventilation and modern windows with real screens in here#i cannot afford to move in August when my lease is up and i will be stuck here for another year#and if im stuck here for another year i want some fucking changes#he was really good about getting the AC fixed but he is legally required to do that promptly#i kind of wish i had held out for a different apartment but that apartment hunt was such a goddamn fucking nightmare#evil lair llc

listen. okay. i know my car is held together with sheer force of will and gusto. but it is perfectly functional!!! yes, i have part of the panel on the trunk permanently removed so i can reach inside and manually pull the mechanism to latch it. and yeah, the drivers door handle only works because of some creative industrial strength zip ties. out of 4 doors i think two have the correct corresponding interior handles. half of them work. 2 out of 4 windows do not roll down, and 1 is on its last legs but still functioning due to a barbeque brush and silicone lube (and i have to push it down with my hands). and okay MAYBE it becomes undrivable when we go long stretches without rain because the front wiper fluid just sadly trickles down the hood and i have to use the whims of the weather to clean my windshield of grime. at least both wipers stay attached while driving and definitely 100% for sure always have (it was fine no one got hurt).
listen. she is doing her best. when i bought her the transmission fluid was brown. you know what colour its supposed to be? pale pink. sometimes oil just. leaves. doesn't leak! doesnt seem to be getting through a seal into the enginel! just. it goes. the amp and two 12 inch subwoofers in the back scream in audible pain when i rev the engine. the parking brake light comes on at random when it gets cold outside. im not sure what its trying to tell me and i dont care to find out. the clock only works when u hit it. im also like 80% sure that putting the gearshift in park doesn't actually work and the emergency brake is the only thing keeping it from rolling downhill, but also one time i drove with the parking brake on and didn't even notice the difference, so ?
anyways. uh. i forgot my point. she is driveable and functional and i love her.
#i was just gonna make a funny quip about disassembling my car today to replace the zip ties that let me open my door#for the second time rather than finding a permanent solution#but as i went over the list of things i need to fix when i go cherry pick replacements from a parts car#i realized it was getting to the point where i would have to write a personalized instruction manual#before loaning anyone my car#anyways for the last 3 months ive been opening my door by rolling down the last-legs window halfway#pushing it down the rest of the way with my hands#and reaching out through it to pull the handle on the outside of the door to get out#then rolling it back up before turning the car off#oh also this car eats tires for breakfast#dont ask me how#anyways i unironically love my car. none of these things make her undriveable if u care enough to create a workaround#she functions perfectly fine. i have never once had engine trouble and she is rust free. i love her.

ive been a little upset about it all night so i need to write out all the things that happened at work today and are bugging me so i can TRY to get it out of my head and actually RELAX bc i just keep pacing in circles around it instead of just accepting it and moving on
#for context i was working frying chicken today. ok so i arrive and literally all the chicken out expires within ten minutes of each other#meanwhile to remake everything takes about an hour 20#tried my best to get everything out and replaced and make sure i have enough of everything and then take my break bc with chicken there are#few narrow windows to take your break in you have very little control over when it is#get back and while im getting ready for my next fry one of the assistant leaders comes back and passive aggressively asks 'everything ok?'#and when i say yeah shes starts saying how shes 'just checking' because apparently i didnt have enough chicken out for her liking and went#on about how we're in a chicken drive (I KNOW. I WORK CHICKEN SHE NEVER HAS.)#etc etc. i just say ok and she leaves#like 20 minutes later she comes fucking back to rag on me again about how i need to choose my break times better and i need to have more#chicken out there as back up (extremely difficult bc there is literally only so much room in the fryers. the batches i usually make already#nearly completely fill them up) blah blah and then when i try to explain how i WAS making pretty big batches people are just snatching them#up fast she keeps trying to walk out the door right away and keeps stopping and looking over her shoulder to just stare at me while i try t#finish my sentence#and she just. doesnt say anything in response when i do finish she just leaves#so clearly she didnt want a conversation she just wanted to rag on me#then later for cleanup the timing of everything just kept lining up inconveniently so i kept having to get in and out of raw cleaning gear#and slowing myself down and i end up having to stay almost 15 minutes late to finish cleaning#during cleaning i have to go grab a key to the back door to take out my trash and this one coworker i have was standing in the way of the#door. i say excuse me and she just stares at me and goes huh?#and i say i need a key and she barely moves out of the way without responding and she has a look like im bothering her#why are you acting like im being douchey. i just need a key. thats something she does a lot she acts like im inconveniencing her by asking#basic favors . ive stopped asking her to help me open the back door (sometimes needed if i also have raw garbage to take out and therefore#cant touch the key myself) for some reason she takes it upon herself to almost completely close the door after i walk out so when i come#back i have to awkwardly use my foot to reach around and pull the door open#ive asked her before not to do it and she just ignored me#GRAH GRAH. and then like i said in my last rb i realized while i was drivign home i forgot to wash a damn pan#im mostly worried about it because ive forgotten a couple times in the past too . in my defense its a pan i personally dont use but it just#gets left behind from first shift sometimes and then second shifters end up having to make sure its clean#im just irritateddd and im mad im worried about it all. its all little things piling up on each other#LOL I WROTE A LOT MORE BUT THE REST GOT CUT OUT IG I HIT A TAG LIMIT. tumblr voice ok dude quit your bitching !!

Something that I hadn't really registered at first but apparently used to give me a little extra joy in this activity, is whenever I opened the window, usually Lilith would get very excited and want to sit in front of it. Of course she lost a lot of that sort of enthusiasm towards the end; plus it was often too warm at that time of year to open them, anyways... Idk. It's weird. I like having the window open, anyways, bc I don't often get to go outside- it's either too hot or too cool and I don't have very many outfits that are suitable, plus there's not usually any reason to. Even when I leave the house I'm not spending much of that time outdoors. So I genuinely enjoy open windows on nice days. But something was lost when somebody who seemed to love it even more than I did, was no longer around to enjoy it with me.
#banjo is still here but he's barred from my room generally#sort of literally; the door hasn't been shutting At All (we need to replace basically Everything) so we put up the child gate#that we usually put up on hot days to have the air circulate. he can't be trusted in here by himself if I needed to pee or smth#one time I was opening the window but my hands slipped (I think that was when the edge cracked bc of dryrot but I'm not sure)#but bc my hands had gone up like usual; Lilith thought the window was open#so she jumped the gun by literally jumping into the window like usual. the very much closed window#I felt bad but there wasn't much I could do; I think she got a bit better about waiting after that tho lmao#anyways idk I just... started noticing it#the weather's been nice lately. tho frustrating; bc this is WAY too fuckin warm for late february/early march...

shoutout to me for opening a box of velcro and holding it up to a door frame today, very beautiful very powerful 💪💪💪
#i very much have that thing where if you put something off for even the most logical reason that task instantly transmutates into#something unapproachable for completely unrelated reasons. like. it's now just filed as 'COULD NOT ONCE => CAN NOT EVER' now and i'm like#??? blease @ the task execution powers of my brain this is not a big deal 🙃#next step: either sticking said velcro onto 2 sides of the door frame OR opening a box of fabric and holding it up to the window :P#i'm soooo stressed about trying to sew velcro to fabric. and to somehow make a relatively airtight hole for a vent to pass through#said fabric. why is this so intimidating if it goes wrong it literally does not matter!!! worst case i will just have to replace the parts!#just. the concept of messing up and creating waste. arghhhh! :P#thanks redacted brain challenges! i am more powerful than you though!

thinking i may have seasonal depression (summer flavor)
#i am. miserable#i cant do anything its too fucking hot!!!#i feel like my apartment is just gonna be a mess until the weather cools down i cant function like this#i know i need to clean. badly. but i cant fucking walk around without sweating. how am i supposed to do more than that??#how am i supposed to do ANYTHING???#im just like. barely doing anything more than sleeping & sitting around all day bc its all i can tolerate#i am so fucking stressed#winter is fine i can put on a hoodie & comfy pants & those fuzzy socks & moving around will warm me up#(also the apartment actually has heating. & i dont even have to pay for it. it does not have ac at all)#summer is like. my fans on high my dehumidifier is running im in nothing but underwear & i feel like im melting into the fucking bed#dont tell me to get an ac i dont have money or room for one#in theory i could probably do a window one. but id have to find a way to also be able to keep the curtains closed#and i cant use it in the living room bc theres no windows only a sliding door#also im waiting for my landlord to replace my window bc it has mold on it but ig its like a weird size so it has to be custom ordered#and also. again. money#also i know the dehumidifier makes the room warmer but i have to run it or it gets to like fucking 70% rh in here

bought an aespa my world album while in town and i got a free poster with it except the poster is HUGE?? literally half the size of my door. where the hell do I put this. my dad said the ceiling
