"The Netherlands is pulling even further ahead of its peers in the shift to a recycling-driven circular economy, new data shows.
According to the European Commission’s statistics office, 27.5% of the material resources used in the country come from recycled waste.
For context, Belgium is a distant second, with a “circularity rate” of 22.2%, while the EU average is 11.5% – a mere 0.8 percentage point increase from 2010.
“We are a frontrunner, but we have a very long way to go still, and we’re fully aware of that,” Martijn Tak, a policy advisor in the Dutch ministry of infrastructure and water management, tells The Progress Playbook.
The Netherlands aims to halve the use of primary abiotic raw materials by 2030 and run the economy entirely on recycled materials by 2050. Amsterdam, a pioneer of the “doughnut economics” concept, is behind much of the progress.
Why it matters
The world produces some 2 billion tonnes of municipal solid waste each year, and this could rise to 3.4 billion tonnes annually by 2050, according to the World Bank.
Landfills are already a major contributor to planet-heating greenhouse gases, and discarded trash takes a heavy toll on both biodiversity and human health.
“A circular economy is not the goal itself,” Tak says. “It’s a solution for societal issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, and resource-security for the country.”
A fresh approach
While the Netherlands initially focused primarily on waste management, “we realised years ago that’s not good enough for a circular economy.”
In 2017, the state signed a “raw materials agreement” with municipalities, manufacturers, trade unions and environmental organisations to collaborate more closely on circular economy projects.
It followed that up with a national implementation programme, and in early 2023, published a roadmap to 2030, which includes specific targets for product groups like furniture and textiles. An English version was produced so that policymakers in other markets could learn from the Netherlands’ experiences, Tak says.
The programme is focused on reducing the volume of materials used throughout the economy partly by enhancing efficiencies, substituting raw materials for bio-based and recycled ones, extending the lifetimes of products wherever possible, and recycling.
It also aims to factor environmental damage into product prices, require a certain percentage of second-hand materials in the manufacturing process, and promote design methods that extend the lifetimes of products by making them easier to repair.
There’s also an element of subsidisation, including funding for “circular craft centres and repair cafés”.
This idea is already in play. In Amsterdam, a repair centre run by refugees, and backed by the city and outdoor clothing brand Patagonia, is helping big brands breathe new life into old clothes.
Meanwhile, government ministries aim to aid progress by prioritising the procurement of recycled or recyclable electrical equipment and construction materials, for instance.
State support is critical to levelling the playing field, analysts say...
Long Road Ahead
The government also wants manufacturers – including clothing and beverages companies – to take full responsibility for products discarded by consumers.
“Producer responsibility for textiles is already in place, but it’s work in progress to fully implement it,” Tak says.
And the household waste collection process remains a challenge considering that small city apartments aren’t conducive to having multiple bins, and sparsely populated rural areas are tougher to service.
“Getting the collection system right is a challenge, but again, it’s work in progress.”
...Nevertheless, Tak says wealthy countries should be leading the way towards a fully circular economy as they’re historically the biggest consumers of natural resources."

Very specific TWST head cannons
Jack was accidentally given alcohol by a third year at a party because they thought he was also a third year.
Ruggie would make bets with students if they can guess Jack's age correctly.
Malleus would stay back at after the final class of the day just to sing, he likes the sound of the empty class room. He stopped doing that because a rumor about a "haunted class" was spreading.
Sebek yelled so hard one time, he couldn't talk the next day due to the pain.
Vil watches those self care videos, as in the earwax removal, black head removal, technically any of those gross removal videos. It's a guilty pleasure of his.
Cater is a hot cheeto girl, he and Idia would make ramen and put hot cheetos in it.
Silver is a heavy sleeper...like heavy sleeper. One time a fire broke out in Diasomnia and everyone was screaming. Only after the fire was out did he wake up.
Malleus used to talk to stuff animals as a kid.
Sebek monologues to himself, and everyone can hear him.
Sebek when he was a kid chased another child with a broken ruler for saying Malleus' name in vain.
Riddle and Jamil have this weird friendship, basically it's just them trying to relax but remembering there are idiots who are in the dorms and can't rest until they get things done.
Each dorm has their own WiFi router, Idia usually hacks into the others in case Ignihyde's one is down or he just want to see people's search history.... Let's just say he's not comfortable around certain classmates.
Idia permanently puts Ortho on child lock so people won't ask him to look up not so friendly things on the internet.
Ortho can get sick from viruses or corrupted data he accidentally downloaded.
Jade and Rook have a passive aggressive rivalry. Like imagine them in the botanical garden having lunch and Jade handed him a poison mushroom infused tea and Rook just 'accidentally' pours it in a plant watching it wither. While looking Jade dead in the eyes, both have smiles on there faces, as they passive aggressively try to kill each other.
Cater x Jade or Rook would be so fucking funny. Like imagine dating the most dangerous students in the school but hey at least the dick is crazy.
Trey has a collection of his baby teeth and his siblings baby teeth on his night stand. No-one brings it up...ever.
another reason why Cater doesn't eat sweets is because he'll get a tooth ache just eating a smore.
A student once asked Crewel if it was possible to make 'crack' in potionology..... Crewel wasn't getting paid enough for this.
Crowley has committed tax evasion.
Azul Is thicc. I said what I said, and don't boo me. I'm right.
Ruggie is banned from Monstro Lounge due to finding loop holes in Azul's contracts and getting free stuff.
Malleus hates cake with too much frosting, It defeats the purpose of the cake.
Malleus would use fae circles to teleport prefect to him.
Floyd likes to just bite things, especially his phone case.
Rook takes the best photos.
Sometimes people forget that Vil is an actor and model, so when seeing him in a movie, commercial or magazine they just get jump scared and remembered .
" oh yeah....Housewarden Vil is a celebrity.."
I think prefect is desensitized to meeting famous or high status people that they're not a big deal to them. Imagine Prefect going to a cafe and THE KALIM AL ASIM Is paying for their drink, everyone is shocked that someone who's richer than royalty is paying for you and all you say is " Oh thanks Kalim. "
I feel like up to book 6 every dorm leader helped out in repairing Ramshackle adding there own piece of their dorms in there. A gaming room from Idia, A luxurious bathroom with skin care supplies and designer clothes from Vil, pantry and groceries from Heartslaybul and Scarabia and a cook book from Trey and Jamil respectively. An indoor and outdoor pool from Savannah claw, wallpaper and decor from Azul, and finally furniture and jewelry from Malleus.

hi! since i've really leaned into witchcraft and spirituality, i became much more appreciative of the earth and i've been talking to her lots but i want to also become more sustainable in my daily life to help the environment even in small ways. do you have any ideas for simple things to do or habits to change to be more sustainable?
I do indeed!!
I think some the best things you can do for sustainable living is develop sustainable skills:
Learning to sew allows you to:
- fix holes in clothes
- adjust the height/seams/etc of clothes
- crop or add to items of clothing
Which means that clothes have a longer lifespan in general!
Learning to garden (even if its windowsill gardening!) helps you:
- spend less on certain herbs or plants (an easy way to start is regrowing spring onions in water)
- grow more native plants in your area
- encourage more insects into your garden
Learning to cook and bake can actually be super helpful because:
- you don't rely on takeaways or ready meals as often
- you can have more control over where your food is sourced and what you're eating
- you can meal plan and prep which saves time and money
- you can learn how to make your own jams, pickles, syrups etc! And you can get pretty creative with it!
Learning simple diy skills is super beneficial as you can:
- make things unqiue and suited to yourself (I.e. perfect sized shelves or a cabinet that fits perfectly in that gap between your bed and wall)
- restore thrifted furniture (staining to a preferred colour, cutting off legs to shorten it, fix the wobbly door etc)
- recycle old furniture, cabinets or similiar unused items into something else (I've turned a old cabinet into a small outdoor storage unit) rather than throwing them away
Learning basic maintenance for things you own is a money saver and:
- means you can fix your bike chain or replace your car's oil and filter without needing to call anyone or spend extra money
- can keep you safe and at a lower risk of motor accident (knowing how to do basic maintenance checks can help you see warning signs for damage)
- means that simpler things like clogged drains, non-flushing toilets, leaky taps etc no longer require calling and paying for a plumber
Of course you don't need to be an expert in any of these, I'm certainly not! But I can cook myself a decent meal, sew some new buttons on an old shirt or fix a hole in my jeans and restore an old wardrobe into something usable.
I love Pete Seeger's quote:
"If it can’t be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled or composted, then it should be restricted, redesigned or removed from production."
Basically it's so important to be aware of your consumption - avoid overconsumption, buy quality over quantity, thrift and reuse things, trade with people. Throwing things away should be a last resort or a necessity, rather than a "I don't know what else to do with it".
And, while recycling isn't quite the saviour people think it is, it is so important to get into the habit of sorting your rubbish correctly!!
Other important sustainable habits include:
Changing your eating habits. If it's feasible for you, try:
- reduce meat and dairy consumption (including fish, as they're massively overharvested)
- prioritise locally and ethically sourced animal produce (local butchers can be a great place to start for this)
- eat more seasonally (its not really feasible to only eat seasonal foods, but try to learn about them and incorporate them more)
- reduce food waste with composting, food donations, meal planning/prepping and learn to love leftovers
- invest in a tap filter and reusable water bottle (drinking tap water is not always safe depending on where you live so research first!!!)
- use public transport (or walk) where possible!
- connect with other people near you who also care about sustainable living: trade services and items and knowledge!
- learn about your local area and ecology!! I sound like a broken record saying this, but the BEST way to start living with nature, is to understand it. You can't help your local wildlife if you don't know it, you can't take steps to protect your environment if you don't know the threats.
All of these are just a few tips and ideas, they may not be feasible for everyone for numerous reasons but it's important to remember that it's not about being perfect, it's about *trying* and doing what you can.
There's so much more I could get into here, from foraging to activism to how and what to thrift vs when to splurge on new items but I think this post is long enough! Let me know if there's anything you want expanding or going into more depth on!!!

Realizing now that I have the inexplicable urge to make men work, especially if they're physically fit. Like oh? You lift? Well, how about you go lift those heavy bags of soil and mulch and distribute them evenly throughout my gardens? Go grab that ladder and clean out my eavestroughs 🫵🤨. Go prune that tree that's growing a little too close to my roofline. Repair the steps leading up to my front porch. Help me assemble this new piece of furniture I got. Build me a shed to store my outdoor furniture and garden tools in. You got those big muscles, now use them 🫵🤨.
#i see those hunky dudes chopping firewood online for clout and I'm not that impressed#like sweetie go raise a timber frame barn for me with your fellow hunks and THEN I'll be impressed with your physique#idk what you want to call that#foremen kink? ensuring that men don't weaponize their incompetence and force me to do most of the labour around the household?#idk gotta make the menfolk around useful#gets me hot and bothered LMFAO#gotta make men earn their keep and work up a sweat lol#for non canadian followers: eavestrough is another word for the gutters on a house

update on my house:
lower 2 ft of walls and all floors have been ripped up, nearly every single piece of furniture has been trashed, all appliances have been trashed. our clothes were high enough in the closets that they are okay. many sentimental items were put up high to keep out of the water.
todays agenda is ripping out the a/c duct work and beginning the process of scooping mud out from our crawlspace.
our gofundme is up to $6k but that is a drop in the bucket of home repairs. my brother does construction stuff so he is trying to get us some deals on material but that is still uncertain.
yesterday, both governer bill lee and our congresswoman marsha blackburn stopped by house. we have given licensing rights to storyful to sell our videos to news agencies, and we are talks with fox weather for an interview.
everything is so crazy and happening so fast. there are dozens of volunteers all over our street helping remove debris and other manual labor, not to mention people delivering food, water, and hygiene products to us.
my whole body is sore, my legs are covered in bruises from stuff slaming into me while we were inside and the water was so rough. my cousin lives in asheville and its like a warzone there, she is hoping to get out sometime today because she hasnt taken a shower or had a hot meal since friday, or probably thursday even since it hit so early in the day.
the cats act like nothing bad has ever happened to them in their life...our dog is staying with my brother who has 4 dogs already so he is well taken care of at least even if we miss him like crazy. we saw our outdoor cat* the day after the flood, but we havent seen him again because there was no way to get him calm enough to move locations, a neighbor saw him get swept away before he saved himself so im sure hes terrified, but we have food out and a little house for him were hoping he will come back to at night when all the craziness is less.
i wish i could be there helping but i honestly feel im just in the way. i feel so overwhelmed when im there and everytime the rain starts i panic. i went back to work yesterday so i can make some money to support us a little more for now. i should get paid for my friends wedding dress either today or tomorrow depending on when i can go see her.
every day gets a little easier, but also more difficult. its starting to sink in just how different my life is and will be for who knows how long.

NEW LOCATIONS ADDED !!
After asking for some new location suggestions, we were grateful to get a number of them that we can add to our little town! The following locations have been added:
BENNY'S -- department store in the suburbs. offers everything from home goods to furniture to electronics to clothes!
THE MEADOWS -- large park in the countryside, with athletic fields and space to roam.
PAGE TURNERS -- a comic book shop that also sells video games & does exchanges / trades in the downtown area.
UP IN SMOKE -- a little smoke shop with skill games, located downtown.
LUPINE LANE -- mobile home park in the suburbs. quaint, cute, picturesque is what comes to mind.
THE YARD -- town-run junkyard located in the countryside. root through the junk or cash yours in.
FIX ME -- IT / tech repair shop located downtown, specializing in making your life less stressful.
JADE'S JEWELS -- jewelry store located along the coast. family-owned and operated through the years. watch repair, too!
SOLES -- shoe store located along the coast. can buy anything from cowboy boots to sneakers, will repair shoes, as well.
MEDICAL COMPLEX -- doctors offices every small town needs, conveniently located in one plaza/complex in the suburbs.
WILDFLOWER WAY -- a privately owned, but open to the public wildflower field for photography or long walks in the countryside.
To clarify a few suggestions that did not make the list, and maybe make it easier for people to find things that they need, you can find meats at the deli, and tutoring can be done at the public library, in an annex. Furniture can be purchased at one of the antique or thrift stores, and ordered/purchased brand new at Creekside, or the department store that was added. Bikes have always been available to be purchased at the toy store, if anyone is looking for those, or in the outdoor store for more of sport-related bikes, as well.
Thank you again for all of your suggestions! We are always open to them, though -- not just when asking! So if you have something you feel would enrich the town, but still makes it feel like a 'small town', feel free to suggest. xx

Slobby bear being controlled
Watch Fob Slob
Alek had meant well enough when it all started.
There was a sidewalk sale going on in the antique store below his apartment, and he was always looking for a new piece of furniture to brighten up his sad little studio, so he popped down. He had only just gotten to the bottom of the outdoor staircase connecting his door to the pavement below when he saw it glinting in a cardboard box marked "FREE". He reached into the box, curious.
When he withdrew his hand he saw he was holding a tiny medallion with a miniature painting of a lapdog on it. On the back, there was an inscription in a sturdy, archaic font:
OBEDIENCE
"That's a very unique piece," said a voice behind him.
Alek turned around to see Mrs. Lexington, the fiery little woman who ran the antique store.
"It is very beautiful, I love the little portrait!" Mrs. Lexington smiled, but there was a glint in her eyes he didn't recognize.
"Something tiny like that in a big old place like this is something special, only reveals itself to the person who ought to own it!"
"Do you know what it's purpose was?"
"It's a watch fob, kiddo! you attach it to a watch chain. And one like that is very unique indeed, the dog represents loyalty and obedience."
"Well, I don't own a watch with a chain, but..." Alek reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He plucked off a phone charm, some anime character his nephew had given him, and with some effort he attached the fob. "There!" He exclaimed cheerfully.
"You be careful with that, it's more responsibility than you know..." Mrs. Lexington said, her face deadly serious.
"Of course, Mrs. L. I would never lose something I got from your shop, how would I live it down?" Alek laughed. "Oh shoot, you know I forgot my wallet! Let me run back upstairs and I'll be right back down. You know I've had my eyes on that chaise lounge!" He was marching back up the wood stairs when he felt a sudden softness below his left foot and then a terrible snapping sound as his leg plunged through the rotten plank.
"AAAAHHH" Alek cried as he stumbled. Thankfully he was only on the third step, and pulled out his leg with a bit of effort. "This stupid staircase should have been repaired years ago, I could have been hurt!" he fumed. He took a photo with his phone and headed toward his landlord's house, a block away.
____________________________________________________________
Tony Marucci was sitting back in his easy chair watching March Madness when he heard the aggressive pounding on his door. He got up and waddled over to the door, pulling his basketball shorts up over the three inches of exposed, fur-lined ass crack. The giant man had been a college athlete himself once, 10 years ago. However, the multiple properties he inherited from his dad coupled with his natural laziness had slowly but surely the Italian Stallion into a lumbering bear. He opened the door and looked down at the angry little otter who lived in his property stood there with fire in his eyes.
"What can I do you for, Alex?" Tony asked easily leaning against the doorway on one arm. He flashed a hairy, unwashed pit and his wifebeater rode up. He scratched his fuzzy midriff and watched the poor little guy's resolve falter. Tony wasn't queer or nothin', but he always loved attention, especially if he could use it to shut up whiny tenants.
The yappy little dude ran a hand down his bearded face quickly and his anger had returned. "I just stepped through one of the rotten planks on my staircase, which I told you needed to be replaced! You need to get someone to fix those immediately or-"
"Listen Adam," The giant man bowled over the irritating little tirade. "All complaints must be put in writing and submitted via email, we've talked about this."
"I did that! Two months ago! And you ignored me! Now I have come in person to tell you if you don't get someone on it immediately I will withhold my rent, which I think you will find is within my rights in this city!" Tony didn't know if he wanted to punch the little dork or give him a noogie like he was an annoying little brother. He took in a deep breath and sighed.
"Do you have photographic evidence of the damage?"
The little dweeb practically jumped out of his skin getting his phone. "Yes indeed I do, I'd like you to take a look at these! I could have been killed! And Mrs. Lexington is my witness, these stairs need to..."
The yapping continued incessantly as tony looked down at the photo of the hole in the step. He rolled his eyes at the minor damage when something glinted just outside of his vision. What is that? He thought absently, his eyes following the dangling charm on his tenant's phone. So prettyyyy.... The charm twirled around and a word flashed across his eyes and burned deep into his brain:
OBEDIENCE
The slob's scruffy jaw went slack, falling open. A string of drool slowly spooled as the little man in front of him continued to emphatically prattle in his direction.
_____________________________________________________
"I bet I could get some of your other tenants together and start a strike, I'm sure you treat them just as neglectfully as you treat me, is that what you want Mr. Maru- ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME MISTER MARUCCI?" Alek was red in the face from his one-sided argument. when he finally looked at up at the landlord, the man was staring at nothing with his face and arms slack.
"listeninggggg" groaned the entranced bear.
"Wha- what are you doing?" Alek said, suddenly worried the handsome slob was having a stroke.
"Obeeedieeent" he crooned in reply, giggling dumbly.
Alek was confused for a second, and then remembered the word on the watch fob. "Are you...no, that's insane..." He regarded his landlord suspiciously. "Stand up straight."
The entranced goon in front of him immediately complied, his arms at his sides and his feet together. His jaw snapped shut, and he looked like a chubby toy soldier. Alek didn't know how to react, and he laughed frantically. He ushered his unwitting victim into his own house. I wonder what I can get away with, he thought to himself.
"Take off your shirt" He commanded imperiously. The bear complied, peeling off his sweaty wifebeater and revealing his hair peppered belly, chest, shoulders, and back. Alek reached out gingerly. He was scared of breaking the spell, but as he felt the warm, pliant flesh of his landlord's belly, the man simply leaned into his touch and hummed a single, needy note in the back of his throat.
"Do fifteen jumping jacks." The man instantly followed instructions, bouncing in time in a way that waws nearly hypnotic to Alek. His silky basketball shorts slowly migrated down his hips as he jumped, revealing that he was going commando, and that he had never heard of manscaping. Finally, with most of his pubes and half his ass hanging out, he stopped and stood up straight. "Behave normally."
Tony seemed to snap out of it with a snort, but he was still clearly fully absorbed by Alek. "Hey Alek! Don't worry about that staircase, I'll someone out there as soon as possible, I promise."
"In the meantime, I can stay here with you." Alek suggested.
"In the meantime, you can stay here with me!" Tony smiled, as if he'd come up with it.
"It could take a month for someone to get out there so I'll make myself at home." Alek smirked
"It could take a month for someone to get out there so please make yourself at home." Tony parroted hanging off his tenant's every word so much that they felt more like his true thoughts than his actual internal monologue.
"I can take your bed obviously, rent-free, and I can use your body however I see fit. You'll love whatever I do to you."
"You can take my bed obviously, rent-free, and you can use my body however you see fit. I'll love whatever you do to me" The mindfucked landlord grinned stupidly back.
"I'm so glad to hear it, Mr. Marucci, or should I say Tony" Alek grinned. Now why don't you show me to the bedroom, and you can show me just how sorry you are for breaching our contract?" In a flash, the giant bear was leading his new owner to his bed to start the beginning of his new life.
A life of Obedience

Stop Wood Warping: The Ultimate Guide You Can't Miss!
Wood is a beautiful and versatile material that has been used for centuries in furniture making, construction, and crafts. However, it can be susceptible to warping, which can compromise its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. In this ultimate guide, we'll explore the ins and outs of wood warping, from understanding its causes to preventing and repairing it.
Understanding Wood Warping
What is Wood Warping?
Wood warping refers to the distortion that occurs when wood changes shape due to environmental factors. This can manifest in various forms, such as bending, twisting, or cupping, and can significantly affect how the wood looks and performs.
Causes of Wood Warping
Several factors contribute to wood warping:
Environmental Factors
Wood is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air. Fluctuations in humidity can cause the wood to swell or shrink, leading to warping.
Moisture Content
High moisture content can lead to significant warping. When wood is initially cut, it often has a high moisture level that must be managed through drying processes.
Temperature Variations
Extreme temperature changes can also impact wood. Heat can dry out wood too quickly, while cold can lead to condensation that affects moisture content.
Types of Wood Warping
Understanding the different types of warping can help in diagnosing and addressing the issue effectively.
Bowing
Bowing occurs when wood bends along its length, creating a curve. This often happens when the wood dries unevenly.
Cupping
Cupping is characterized by the edges of the wood being higher than the center, resembling a shallow bowl. This typically results from moisture imbalance.
Twisting
Twisting involves the wood twisting along its grain, which can create a spiral effect. This often happens due to uneven drying.
Crooking
Crooking is a type of warping where the wood forms a curve along its length. It is often a result of stress during drying.
Identifying Wood Warping
Detecting wood warping early can prevent further damage.
Visual Signs
Look for obvious signs of distortion, such as uneven surfaces or gaps in joints.
Tools for Measurement
Using tools like a straight edge or level can help determine if a surface is flat.
Preventing Wood Warping
Taking preventive measures can save you time and money.
Proper Storage Techniques
Indoor Storage
Store wood indoors in a climate-controlled environment to minimize humidity changes.
Outdoor Storage
If storing outdoors, keep wood off the ground and covered to protect it from moisture.
Using Sealants and Finishes
Applying sealants and finishes can create a barrier that helps prevent moisture absorption.
Repairing Warped Wood
If warping does occur, there are ways to repair it.
Techniques for Minor Warping
For minor warping, you might be able to correct it by applying moisture to the concave side and applying weight.
Major Warping Solutions
For more severe cases:
Using Water and Weight
This technique involves dampening the warped area and placing a weight on it to help it return to shape.
Clamping Methods
Clamping the wood can also help restore its original form, but this may take time.
Best Practices for Wood Selection
Selecting the right wood can reduce the likelihood of warping.
Choosing the Right Type of Wood
Some types of wood are more stable than others. Hardwoods generally perform better in varying climates.
Understanding Grain Orientation
The way wood is cut affects its stability. Understanding grain orientation can help in selecting the right piece for your project.
Tools and Products to Combat Warping
Investing in the right tools and products can help manage wood effectively.
Recommended Sealants
Look for high-quality sealants that offer excellent moisture protection.
Essential Tools for Woodworkers
Having the right tools, such as moisture meters and clamps, can help you work with wood more effectively.
FAQs About Wood Warping
What is the best way to store wood?
The best way to store wood is in a climate-controlled indoor environment, away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
Can warped wood be repaired?
Yes, warped wood can often be repaired using various techniques, depending on the severity of the warping.
How can I tell if wood is warped?
You can tell if wood is warped by visually inspecting it for distortion or using tools like a straight edge to check for flatness.
Does humidity affect wood?
Yes, humidity can significantly affect wood, causing it to absorb moisture and warp.
What types of wood are less prone to warping?
Hardwoods, such as oak and maple, are generally less prone to warping compared to softwoods.
Is wood warping reversible?
In many cases, yes. Depending on the method used and the severity of the warping, wood can often return to its original shape.
Conclusion
Wood warping is a common issue that can affect anyone who works with wood. However, understanding the causes and types of warping, as well as implementing preventive measures and repair techniques, can help you manage this problem effectively. Whether you are a professional carpenter or a DIY enthusiast, this guide provides the insights you need to keep your wood projects looking their best.
