Sorry if you haven’t heard from me, whoever’s waiting to hear from me. May was hard. May was Captain of a lot of things that didn’t feel so good. I watched a lot of Shetland & one night made brownies from the box. I think it was the same night, oh dear. It all goes flashing down the rear. May was like, “how is it possible the flowers can bloom when I feel like this, So pointless, aimless, out of wack And unretrieved or left behind, How is it all coming up as I’m going down, Shouldn’t we, as nature, be in a tandem dance.” May, I was alone a lot and felt it. Though that is nature – up and down in tandem, Good and bad in the same exquisite sandwich. I take a bite. Cloudy day. I’m just in it. Glad to be in it – I love the thorn in the rose bush as that’s what makes it rose bush.
I’m in Nova Scotia, baby, it’s my first time here. Flew in from Toronto with my sister (not twin, who is in Italy) and my cousin. It only took 1 hour and 44 minutes in the air to get somewhere I’d never been in my life. We are here for my birthday on Monday but also because BenIsHerFriend.
Cold air out here, no? Walking into the tiny shack where we’re staying my sister said about the cold, “I can feel it in my bones.” But the air is fresh and sparkly green. Green everywhere. Green landing. I brought a book – never let me go by Kazuo – but I probably won’t touch it, I just don’t have those kinds of eyes at the minute. Staying in a boat shack in LaHave, as I somewhat mentioned, which is an hour twenty-minute drive out from Halifax. The highway, if that’s what it is, is very nice, grey and bordered in tall trees, a thrumming yellow-green embroidery. We didn’t rent a Jeep Wrangler but that’s what the car rental place had for us after losing (?) our original car and having us waiting near an hour for its replacement. It was a fine wait, huddled at a high bar table in the airport with English breakfast tea and a morning glory muffin. And we got a cool Jeep at the end. I felt like this was special, because we’ve always wanted to drive in a big hulking Jeep machine in a space with nice, open skies. Hopefully the weather will warm to the point we can take the roof off and if it doesn’t, maybe we’ll do it anyway and shiver for a bit of time.
Today, though, today I’m sodamntired but coffee isn’t helping. Do you ever have something to do that you just can’t fucking do? So it just runs in your brain as something you’ve GOTTA do! It’s not all bad. I enjoyed a cheese croissant and two lemony dolmas for lunch which was great, and lemon loaf for lunch-dessert. Rain glides in the air, and on these blustery days, a note of lemon cracking through does real business.
Also – I got a Graphic Design internship! With an animation festival in Ottawa. It’s virtual, forty hours a week and starts tomorrow and runs until the first day of September. I’ll be helping design the festival book. Maybe in the fall will drive to Ottawa to meet them all in person / attend a few of the shows. But this means I’ll have to lower my hours on the island, so hopefully that’s cool. Otherwise, I’ll quit the island. That could only have been a summer job anyway.
Tomorrow, will visit Lunenberg :•)

Thoughts on Vacation Ted? Either with just him and a partner or family vacay with Henry?
First of all, Ted Lasso is in desperate need of a vacation. Someone give this man a holiday.
I feel like Ted is much more about experiences versus destinations. Holidays for him aren't strictly reserved for sandy beaches and resorts.
Potential Ted Lasso Vacations may include but are not limited to:
UK holidays and weekends away:
For example, A weekend in Bath, England. Ted loves learning stuff, there's lots to see, lots to do, and lots of history to absorb. It's very walkable and I can see him wandering around enjoying the quieter environment and just clearing his head for a little bit. Only con is there are a lot of tea rooms, and Ted and tea are still on a life long hiatus.
I can see him taking Henry out of London for a couple of days when he comes to visit. A great opportunity to spend some quality father-son time and getting to see the country beyond tourist traps, and London's busy streets. Potential destinations include Liverpool, maybe not the most obvious, but Henry definitely got to see Abby Road on his first trip to London and both father and son love the Beatles so a visit to the Beatles museum would be a blast. Train trips up to Scotland could be fun! Glasgow has a plethora of art galleries, gardens, museums, and art and history to see! (Also, I feel like Ted would a be a huge fan of the Scottish accent).
Back in the US:
I feel like Ted would enjoy a good road trip. That man is 110% in favour of taking the scenic route every time. Snacks galore, I-spy games, it doesn't matter where he's headed, part of a great vacation is the adventure of getting there. I can see him taking Henry skiing, though I feel like Henry might be more interested in trying out snowboarding. Hot chocolate and comfort food by and cozy little fireplace? Yes please. (Also I just feel like Ted deserves to be cozy and ski lodges would be a wonderful place for him to buddle up in all his favourite sweaters and fun socks). I want to say I can imagine Ted camping...and as fit and capable as he is, Ted does not strike me as an outdoorsman. If given the choice though I think he'd like glamping. Renting a little cabin or cottage near a lake, barbecuing, making s'mores, pointing out different constellations in the night sky, swimming and canoeing. Someone would have to make sure he was putting sunscreen on though because I just know that man forgets to do his shoulders every time and he would be a bit of a baby when he wakes up burnt in the morning.
Destinations:
I think regardless of where he ends up Ted wants to experience the place he's in. Going to a resort somewhere he'd be signing up for boat tours, and excursions, wine tastings etc. if he was somewhere with Henry this man is 100% signing them up to swim with dolphins. If given the chance he's trying local foods, and doing as much sightseeing as he can.
On holiday with a partner Ted still wants to adventure, but he's a sap and he would go out of his way to get reservations at nice restaurants, and rooms with stunning views. Ted cares so much about the people around him and I think that a lot of his peace of mind and happiness on vacations would be getting to see the people he's with enjoying themselves. His partner getting to relax would calm him, and getting to see the wonder and excitement in Henry's eyes as he learns new things and sees the world would make him happier than anything else in the world
Apparently I had a lot of thoughts about Ted on holiday!

Mike Lynch missing: Businessman on Bayesian before sinking | World | News
British businessman Mike Lynch is missing after the yacht he was on capsized in Sicily leaving at least one person dead.  Angela Bacares, Mr Lynch’s wife, was among those rescued after the incident.  Mr Lynch is the co-founder of software company Autonomy Corporation and the founder of Invoke Capital. A spokesperson for Mr Lynch said there was no comment. The body of one missing passenger was recovered close to the wreck at a depth of 164 ft a few hours into the search mission. Before the recovery of the victim, believed to be a man, the Italian coast guard said: “There are currently seven missing, one crew member and six passengers, of British, American and Canadian nationality.” The captain of the Sir Robert, one of the first ships to intervene to rescue the passengers, said the Bayesian “tilted to one side and within minutes the boat sank, it all happened in a very short time.” One of the passengers described the harrowing experience as she spoke of her efforts to keep her young daughter, Sophie, safe after the sinking. The woman, named locally as Charlotte, told Italian newspaper La Repubblica: “I held her afloat with all my strength, my arms stretched upwards to keep her from drowning. “It was all dark. In the water, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I screamed for help but all I could hear around me was the screams of others.” The sailboat had overturned sometime before 5 a.m. off the port of Porticello, near Palermo, where it was anchored. It had a crew of 10 people and 12 passengers, including British, American and Canadian nationalities, the Italian coast guard said. Local media said a sudden fierce storm, including tornados over water known as waterspouts, had battered the area overnight but skies were clear and seas calm by Monday morning. The 184-foot British-flagged Bayesian was known for its single 246-foot mast, one of the world’s tallest made of aluminium and which was lit up at night, just hours before it sank. Online charter sites list it for rent for up to 195,000 euros (about $215,000) a week. Eight of the 15 people rescued and taken to shore at Porticello were hospitalised. One body was found near the wreck, but six others were unaccounted for, said Luca Cari, a spokesperson for the Italian fire rescue service. Rescue crews located the vessel at a depth of 163 feet off Porticello and deep-water police divers were trying to access the hull, Cari said. The operations, which were visible from shore, involved helicopters and rescue boats from the Coast Guard, fire rescue and civil protection service. Source link via The Novum Times

Days 12-13: El Nido- Island Hopping and Treehouse Heaven
Tumblr media
A must-do activity in El Nido is island hopping- one of four tours, named A,B,C and D. Knowing we would and could not do all, and might do only one, we learned that the general opinion is that A is the most popular and likely a not-miss. C and D are far off and mostly open water travel. And B (or is it C?)’s biggest attraction is currently off limits due to filming of “Survivor” (I wonder which country’s version?)
So having signed up for A, we packed up our newly-purchased water-proof bag— but regrettably, I forgot to put my phone in it, so… here’s hoping it will work again.
The tour was just as we hoped. Cool guides “I know some Hebrew! Ani ohev otach!”, clearly demonstrating his honestly impressive linguistic abilities rather than professing his love for me.
Tumblr media
The tour was definitely not-to-be-missed. The problem- no one missed it, and as a result, there is definitely over crowding. So that hidden lagoon? Not so hidden, when many other boats have the more-or-less same order and locales to island hop on. Would we forego it? No, because it was spectacularly beautiful. But serene? Far from it.
So we hopped, and chatted with some of the travelers, among them a wonderful couple from Italy. I took my first GoPro videos, and tried to capture the beauty.
Tumblr media
Upon our return, I ran back to the hotel in order to make it on time to get us a few complimentary cocktails while Yuval exchanged numbers with the nice Italian couple who asked us to send them our GoPro videos.
Tumblr media
That night we went into town again. Blown away by the previous night's pizza, and since we had so little pizza the whole trip, we decided to try out another pizza place that was literally overflowing with travellers and very highly rated. Benches lined the place in communal-dining style, so stuffed that those near the windows would literally climb out the window to leave or walk around to the counter to place orders. Make your own pizzas with incredibly unique combinations and ingredients, it was the type of place that you just didn't know what to order due to all the options. We stuck with pretty basic basil, mozz et al and were seated next to two French Canadian travellers. Learning we were from Israel, they asked, literally, tens of questions, about everything, with a thirst to understand the conflict, our life, the challenges, our decisions, and more. Their curiousity was refreshing, and it made for an amazing experience, equal to that of the pizza itself.
Tumblr media
So, that night, it became clear that my little forgetfulness of having not put my phone in the waterproof bag destroyed my phone. That teaches me to keep my valuables in that blue bag around my chest. After hours of trying to charge, praying it will ,seeing it doesn't, and the helplessness of not knowing whether I will lose all that is stored there, I went to sleep, saddened by the thought of being phoneless. I wish I weren't so dependent upon that little thing, but what can you do, that's that. Who knows, maybe it can be saved... I went to sleep, trying to maintain my optimism, hoping my phone would once again be whole.
Tuesday, 26 March... Our last day in El Nido we decided we would spend once again exploring by moped. But first, breakfast overlooking the bay, another shakshouka, shared with a curious, hungry gecko.
Tumblr media
We went into town to rent the moped, and then headed down south to the beach where the full moon party (that we didn't go to) was. We parked our moped in the very organized, very crowded, free parking area, then made our way towards the entry. A series of businesses lined the wide stairs that led down to the beach. From hair salons to cafes and ice cream joints, it all was very commercial... too much so. The one thing I did excuse for its commercialism was the gym that was lined with C2 rowers and even ski ergs! I wonder if those are listed in the "find an erg" website! Damning the fact that I was in flipflops, I forgave myself for not doing a day entry to the gym, knowing that time was better spent walking barefoot on the beach that was just a few more stairs away.
Tumblr media
Apparently, this beach, Las Cabanas, has the best sunset around. The restaurants lining the beach were priced accordingly. Knowing travellers will find a choice spot and spend hours there until the sun sets, the restaurants had to get their moneys' worth from the few orders that would be placed from the even fewer patrons that would find seating.
The cheapskates we are, and with the knowledge that a sun set can be seen sitting on sand and not a beanbag, we had lots of time to explore. Another famous attraction on that beach is a zipline across the water onto an adjacent island, which also is accessible at lowtide. So we walked across the the island, exploring. We decided to hike up to the landing spot of the zipline, both to see if there was a view and to find out if we could get a cheaper ticket for the return journey back to the zipline launch. No luck there, but fun walking up the steep steps in the jungle, and seeing the screaming zipliners and the swooping drone that took the photography from up close. The experience reminded me of the time Yuval and I did the tarzan swing in Cyprus. I still have the VHS casette tape somewhere in my cupboard under our living room tv...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Concerned that high tide might trap us on the island, and tiring of rock climbing and scrambling in flip flops (future note to self: bring watershoes to beaches just in case), we started heading back and continued on our southbound walk. Having rounded the edge of the beach and after just a few paces, with the restaurants nowhere to be seen, we stumbled across a treehouse. High up on a cliff, the patio was made with intricate woodwork. Captivated by its clear artistry, I took a picture of the phone number posted high above, taking note for, perhaps, a future journey. A little further, there was yet another treehouse, this one with a lovely woman on the wooden artsy porch above. I waved hello. She leaned over, and I asked her if she is the owner. When she replied positively, we asked if we could check out the place. "Of course!" she answered, and made her way down to greet us.
Tumblr media
Taking off our shoes, we started climbing up the long, narrow staircase up to the trees. It turns out the treehouses are advertised on Air B&B. It never occurred to Yuval and I to search Air B&B for accomodations during our travels. We primarily use Agoda, Booking, Expedia or HostelWorld. The places were beautiful, and absolutely reasonably priced compared to most places in the area. A little kitchenette, beautiful, quaint ceramic bathroom tiles, the living area peppered with art and statuettes from Africa or Polynesia or other far-away places, I could envision myself spending countless nights here, lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean, feeling that I was on a deserted island, yet close by civilization that was just down and around the beach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A natural first reaction was to regret not having found this find before coming. Then, clearing my head, I realized the place we were staying was lovely and perfect for us now. This place will be perfect for another time. So we parted ways with the owner, hoping one day to come back, with promises of a cooking lesson or two when I do.
Continuing on, we passed a couple that was making mobiles hanging from a tree, with the shells and plant debris that were scattered about. I wondered whether they were to sell, or they were just passing the time. We jumped over logs, admired the nearby islands, and eventually reached another hotel that seemed almost abandoned, except for a few staff. We climbed up to the bar and ordered a local beer, and sat, taking in the sea air and beauty. (and since there was an electric outlet there, I tried charging my still-alive-but-barely phone...)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We then made our way back. passing the now-ownerless still-hanging (thus not for sale but for beauty and pasttime) mobiles, the beautiful treehouses and populated beanbags. We reurned to our moped to go back to catch the cocktails and the also-wonderful sunset from our place (made that much better with free cocktails).
We checked out, settled our bill, and organized a ride so we could head out first thing to our excursion to Coron, after a final shakshouka breakfast. All was packed and ready to go.
Hoping I might be able to repair my phone before our 3-day internet-less excursion, we headed out to a repair shop we had been told about on the main road. I presented the phone to the man, who asked the model. After some time looking at it, he went to a workstation and took out what looked like a soldering iron and high powered airbrush, or some other brash tools of the trade. Yuval the wise one looked at me and said "Are you crazy?" as the clearly-unhygienic dust-laden main-road-pollution-heavy shop was not the most ideal of places to do such a sensitive repair. So we smiled and thanked them, I took back my now-dead phone, and said a little prayer to the phone G-d above.
We returned out moped, went back to our little haven, and went to sleep, hoping for a wonderful few days ahead.

avengers holiday headcanons
I have this idea stuck in my head but im never going to have the time or energy to write a fic so here are my headcanons:
tony ends up renting a lake house (read mansion to fit them all) for two weeks so the avengers can have a 'bonding trip' after everything that's happened.
trying to figure out rooms for everyone ends up being an absolute nightmare as there aren't enough rooms for everyone to have their own. it's even made a little awkward when tony realises he forgot to tell the team that he and stephen were dating;
clint: "tony, why are you so adamant about sharing with strange? what are you in love with him or something?"
stephen: "I fucking hope so."
nobody knows how, but somehow natasha managed to get a whole room to herself.
steve agreed to take the pull out couch in the living room, seen as he was the earliest to rise. However, he didn't consider the many insomniac avengers getting up in the middle of the night for snacks.
thor, bruce, loki, sylvie, mobius, and valkyrie agree to take the bunk beds in the games room since they are the largest group, but loki constantly complains that sleeping in a single bed is "undignified and unbefitting of a prince of asgard".
clint and scott both drew the short straws and ended up having to share a bed. Scott complains that it's not the fun kind of there was only one-bed scenario "like clint keeps kicking me in the middle of the night, we're gonna have to set up a barrier or something so I stop waking up covered in bruises".
they set up a group roster for cooking meals, but after a mishap by loki and sylvie (mobius tried to stop them from enchanting all the cooking utensils), they end up banning all magic from cooking, and all the groups are changed to pair up avengers that likely don't know each other well. (steve: "it's for group bonding, we need to be able to know and trust every member of the team") loki and sylvie also earn the nickname 'the terror twins' from tony.
peter and harley decide to pretend that the house is haunted and nobody really believes them at first. that's until stephen offhandedly agrees with them (stephen wasn't in on the prank, so peter and harley get worried that it might actually be haunted. it's not. stephen saw through what they were doing and decided to play along)
the prank still carries on though, peter and harley even manage to convince loki to use his magic to pretend to be a ghost. scott, clint, and sam totally aren't scared of the 'ghost' but they do come up with a plan to go full ghostbusters just in case.
every 'fun group bonding activity' that they do always turns into a competition, to the point that one day wanda, vision, natasha, sylvie, and valkyrie end up disappearing to the nearest town for coffee, and they don't end up returning until after dinner.
the team hired kyacks one afternoon and almost everyone spent the entire time trying to capsize each other. nobody could get close to natasha though, because she'd just paddle off anytime anyone got too near.
the best to watch was thor and loki in their tandem kayak as loki just sat in the back reading and completely uninterested while thor spent the entire time paddling at full speed while shouting encouragement at the rest of the avengers.
steve and stephen also ended up sharing a tandem kayak as stephen couldn't paddle with his hands and steve could paddle enough for the both of them. they later agreed never to kayak together again as stephen spent the entire time criticising steve's paddling technique.
tony tends to fiddle with whatever is in his hands, often taking things apart. he does this one afternoon with a lighter, making it shoot out a huge flame. but he then forgot about it and put it back. later its when sam, steve, and bucky's turn to make the bonfire, and they accidentally grab tony's modified lighter. even though it's technically tony's fault, sam still blames bucky for trying to "scar my beautiful face" and "I thought we were over this man, why do you keep trying to kill me?"
while snooping through the house, harley and peter end up finding a projector so they set up outdoor movie nights by the edge of the lake. they watch some classics such as dirty dancing, top gun, and indiana jones, and tony and natasha team up to give every character a rating out of ten (tony: "patrick swayze? absolute 10 out of 10, lift me in the air like that")
loki and mobius finally take a jet ski trip!! but mobius drives over some lake weed and they get stranded. sam and steve end up having to go out and rescue them in the boat.
one day they decide to take a hike along one of the rivers, and about halfway through, peter jokes that maybe his spidey senses would help him to grab a fish out of the water like a bear. this then results in easily half of the team standing in the river trying to do just that, with the other half either complaining or watching in amusement. somehow thor manages to actually grab a fish?
it does actually end up being a pretty enjoyable trip overall, and they decide to turn it into a yearly tradition,
scott: "as long as I don't have to share a bed with clint again."

Hi! Could you do prompt 10 and the OT4, preferably nsfw but whatever floats your boat. Love your stuff :)
Here you go! It is indeed NSFW.
There's also a magical aphrodisiac that's taken accidentally, but everything is still fully consensual; the person who takes it is just extra horny.
10. our friends rent a cabin to go skiing and we’re the only ones who stay inside
One of the most common complaints from exiled Sylphs, after the obvious, was the way it fucked up your circadian rhythms. Barclay had been gone long enough that he’d stopped noticing it. Then Aubrey and Dani started inviting people on outings on the Sylvain side of the new gate and he learned that his body never really forgot the habits he grew up with.
Case in point: he’s already been up for an hour, puttering about the kitchen in the palatial ski cabin they rented near the Blue Iron Mountains, his internal clock knowing this level of strange half-light means it’s time to be up and active. Half the Sylphs have been up all night and show no plans to go to bed, the other half are still sound asleep. With the exception of Aubrey, the humans are all burrowed in bed. At least that’s what he thought.
“Mornin’” Duck shuffles in from the porch, dusted in snow and clad in sweats, sipping from a wooden cup.
“Morning. Couldn’t sleep?”
“Nah, ain’t been up that long. Just needed my mornin bean juice and, uh” he mumbles, “couldn’t figure out how to work the coffee maker here. So I walked down to the main lodge to get some. Or, uh, the closest they had. Said I needed somethin’ to wake me up.”
“Lemme get some started. If you wanna hang out a sec, I can give you a cup to take back to Joe. He made me promise not to let him oversleep.” He fishes one of the ten, massive bags of coffee grounds they brought from Kepler out of a cabinet.
“Must’ve said that after I was conked out.”
“That was two minutes after we went to bed.”
“Hey, ‘Drid’s nice and comfy.”
“Got that right.” Barclay starts the percolator.
Duck leans against the counter, “How’s being back home feel?”
“Better than last time. It’s not feeling as...overwhelming anymore.”
“Glad to hear it.” Duck bumps their elbows as he fishes out some mugs, “you need any help with dinner tonight?”
“Nope, gonna let everyone forage through the leftovers.” He pours out two mugs of coffee, tips some cream into the second as Duck sticks the wooden cup into the rapid dishwasher.
The ranger takes the coffee, lifts one in goodbye, “Thanks for these. And if you get tired of being out here, know you’d be real popular if you come back to bed. Even give up my spot on ‘Drid for a bit.” He winks and disappears down the hall.
The cabin comes more and more to life as he sips his tea and whips up winterberry muffin batter. By the time the muffins are done and devoured, Joseph is nestled next to him in an easy chair and the group consensus is that today is the day to hit the more advanced slopes.
“Indrid, are you coming?” Dani calls, tying on her sweater.
The pile of blankets near the giant fireplace replies, “No. I very much enjoy spending time with you all, but I am not going anywhere colder than this room.”
“I’m passing on this round too. That fall yesterday bruised me up more than I care to mention” Joseph wipes his hands on a napkin and hops out of the chair, “besides, I want to keep an eye on Duck; he’s not feeling well.”
“Oh no, what’s-”
“Feverish” Indrid’s head swivels to look at the others, “and rather out of it. Which is odd, because he seemed fine when he returned to bed this morning.”
“Could be the altitude.” Jake pops on his beanie, “major bummer. Okay dudes, let’s go!”
Barclay waves goodbye as they pile out the door, then goes to see if the Mothman will let him share some blankets.
-------------------------------------------------------
“Duck?”
“Nmmh?” He lifts his head from where it’s pressed to Joe’s leg. He looks so...pretty from this angle.
“I’m going to see if Barclay wants to take a little walk to stretch our legs. Indrid’s still in the living room if you need him.”
Duck frowns; he doesn’t want Joe going anywhere. He should stay here and take off his clothes, press their bodies together, and feel him up until every curve and bump of his body has been thoroughly pawed.
“It won’t be long, I promise.” The agent bends, kisses his forehead, and then he’s gone.
For a while he lays in the warm darkness, as content and sleepy as a hibernating bear. Then the same heat that’s been ebbing and flowing through his veins since this morning creeps into his chest. The urging to fulfill some nebulous want grows louder. He grabs Joe’s folded pajama shirt from the foot of the bed and buries his face in it, certain that will soothe the ache.
It does for a moment, the traces of mint soap and fancy cologne--Joe swears it’s from the drugstore but he must be lying, it smells too good to be cheap--letting him pretend he’s resting his cheek on a lean chest.
Then things get a thousand times worse, his mind supplying the filthiest slideshow of his boyfriend possible; Joe smiling at him as he lavishes his belly with kisses, Joe flat on his back as Duck fucks him, Joe in his suit, slipping his hands into Duck’s back pockets to steal a squeeze before work.
He groans; Joe said it’d be a short walk. What’s taking him so goddamn long?
Wait a minute. Joe said something else too. He said Indrid was still here.
Indrid, with his long tongue and wide smile. Indrid, claws sharp and voice so fucking commanding when he wants it to be.
Duck is out of the bedroom as fast as his worryingly shaky legs will take him. Indrid is on the floor by the fireplace, paperback romance in one hand and mug in the other. His back against the couch and a blanket of shimmering grey wool draped over his shoulders. He’s puffed up, just as he’s been since they reached the mountains. Duck giggles every time he sees him, teasingly calls him a fluffball as rises on his toes to kiss a downy cheek.
“Oh, hello sweet one.” Indrid closes his book, “are you feeling better? Oh, well, hello then.” He chirrs happily as Duck settles into his lap and digs his hands into his feathers.
“S’okay?” Duck gazes hopefully up at him.
“Of course.” A gentle flick of a tongue on his cheek, “you know I adore having you in my arms. Is there anything you need?”
“Nuh uh.” He shakes his head, shivering in relief as feathers brush his skin. Just having the bulk of Indrid to rest on, feeling the little trills and hums in his chest, it all makes the heat relent and he’s now certain this is what he needs to feel better, “can keep readin’ if you want. Probably just fall asleep.” He leans enough to kiss the edge of Indrid’s left wing, then relaxes as spindly arms gently rest on his shoulders.
The fire crackles and pages turn, Indrid idly rubbing his back as he daydreams. He loves his claws, the reminder of the strange, otherworldly creature hidden beneath the gangly, smiling human he fell in love with. The felt so good, twined in his hair as Indrid taught how to blow him in his Sylph form. And when they prick his thighs, holding his legs open so Indrid can fuck him deep while calling him a good boy.
“That doesn’t seem like a nap, sweetheart.” Indrid sets his free hand on Duck’s ass as slowly bounces in his lap.
“Fuck, sorry, I, I didn’t mean to, you just, fuck, sugar, the things you do to me, I want you so bad.”
“Goodness” Indrid purrs softly, nuzzling his forehead, “let me just find my bookmark. Joseph keeps reminding me not to dog-ear library books-”
“You, you can keep reading. I don’t wanna interrupt you I just, I want, fuck, it’s like I got a goddamn volcano in my chest and I need to let it erupt to get rid of the heat.”
“...And you do not want me to take you to bed to do so?” Indrid cocks his head.
“No? Fuck, it’s kinda hard to explain but right now I both wanna get off and prove that I’m good, that I ain’t any trouble, and the thought of you lettin me do that turns me on even more.”
Indrid sets the book aside, cupping his face. It takes Duck a moment to understand he’s studying his eyes.
“And if you needed to stop, or needed me to do something else, you would say so?”
Duck grins in what he hopes is a charming--rather than goofy--way, “you know it.”
His boyfriend nods, satisfied. Claws grips his hips and shift him sideways so he’s straddling Indrid’s thigh.
“I foresee that being particularly pleasurable for you. Now be a good little human and try not to jostle me too much.” He retrieves his book, flipping pages as Duck rolls his hips with abandon, moaning happily as his cock grinds on soft fabric and, beneath it, the firm muscle of a long leg.
A warning squeeze on his thigh, “Not so rough, sweet one, the letters are jumping too much for me to read.”
He whimpers, forces himself to slow down, to rut in long, slow motions instead of frantic ones.
“Much better.” A kiss on his head, a gentle pat on his ass. Fuck he loves this, the way he can bury himself in Indrid’s down, the way he feels small and protected, like all he has to worry about is being good while Indrid completely surrounds him.
Wings circle his back.
“You were about to ask.” Indrid murmurs, voice dripping with indulgence.
“Thank you, fuck, sugar” the heat that’s dogged him all morning pools in his gut, “goddamn you look good, gonna, gonna comb out those wings soon as I’m done, gonna make you purrFUCK.” He gasps, fisting his hands into Indrid’s chest because he’s not entirely sure he won’t float away if he lets go.
Just as he thinks the last of the desire is burnt off, it bubbles back up as if he didn’t just cum so hard he saw stars. His hips are already moving, his breaths sending puffs of down into the air.
“Needy thing.” Indrid grins at him, dips his head to indicate his own emerging cock, “but you’re being such a good boy. Tell me, my love, shall I take you now? Or should I finish the chapter I just started?”
“I, I wanna see how many times I can cum before you fuck me.”
A clawtip traces a heart on his cheek, “Carry on, then.”
-------------------------------------------------------
Joseph isn’t as used to Sylph boots as Barclay is, so the cook enters the cabin ahead of him. This means he runs smack into his boyfriend's back when he stops dead in the living room.
“Having fun, little moth?”
“A great deal.”
Joseph steps around Barclay to find Indrid lounging against the couch reading and seemingly unbothered by the flushed, sweating ranger grinding on his leg.
“Guess he’s feeling better.” Barclay smirks.
“I suspect he’s feeling the same.” Indrid lays the book on the end table, “given that he’s cum three times since we started.”
“N-not my fault you’re so goddamn gorgeous.” Duck growls, whining when Indrid lazily kisses him.
“My point is, ah, well” Indrid’s antenna twitch sheepishly, “there was a future I meant to alert him to last night and promptly forgot about until now. What did you order from the cafe this morning, my love?”
Duck pauses, brow charmingly furrowed, “Fire flower tea?”
“You may have meant to order that, but what you actually ordered was red flower tea.”
“Oh jesus.” Barclay winces; he’d gone over a list with all the humans before their first trip about which Sylph ingredients might have unexpected effects on them. According to Joseph’s notes, red flower tea, in his or Duck’s bodies, is an aphrodisiac. Were Duck in distress, he’d be herding them all out the door to the nearest hospital. But given his blissed-out expression and the state of Indrid’s feathers, he’s not worried.
“In Duck’s defense, ‘fire’ and ‘red’ are very similar characters. But maybe you’re due for some more flashcard practice.” Joseph perches on the armrest nearest Indrid, unable to wrench his eyes from the way Duck’s ass and thighs jiggle as he humps their boyfriend.
Duck growls playfully, “Hell yeah.”
“Damn, usually I’m the one who gets turned on by you being a nerd.” Barclay comes up behind him, rubbing his shoulders.
“C’mon, handsome, take off those fancy-ass jeans and lemme suck your dick.”
His hands are on his fly when two auburn-furred ones clamp down on top of them. Duck whines, and Joseph looks up to find Indrid preventing him from getting out of his lap.
“While I understand the urge to pounce on Joseph, I am not about to let you rile me up only to go get someone else off first. It’s only polite to finish what you started. Wouldn’t you agree?”
“Yes.” The other three reply.
Indrid preens, “Excellent.”
Duck’s pants hit the floor (Joseph is very glad there’s a grate between the fire and their shed clothes). He expects his own to join them, but Barclay only unzips his fly and pushes his jeans down low enough to stroke his dick. He rests his head back on a fuzzy chest as Indrid pushes Duck onto his hands and knees and unceremoniously shoves his cock into him.
Of the four of them, Duck is the least vocal during sex. Talkative, yes, but if someone is moaning and yelling loud enough to wake the neighbors, it’s the others who are to blame. So the ecstatic, drawn-out moan that bursts from him when Indrid sinks in is truly a rare and wonderful sound.
“I got an idea” Barclay rumbles in his ear, scoops him up and deposits him on the couch cushions before kneeling next to him. Joseph eases off pants, laughs when Barclay pulls off each of his socks with a flourish before kissing his legs. Then teeth nip his thigh and the cook growls, “spread ‘em, babe.”
He gladly obeys, let’s out his own grateful moan as Barclay fucks him with two thick fingers. The Sylph stays beside him, kissing and nibbling his torso while giving Duck an excellent view of what he could be doing were he not pinned under a ravenously horny Indrid.
“Fuck, sugar please, please lemme get closer, I’ve been good, fuckplease.”
“Patience, my love. Barclay, kindly fuck Joseph harder.”
He inhales excitedly. But Barclay’s fingers slow, voice low and dominant as he says, “And who says you’re calling all the shots today, little moth?”
Indrid narrows his eyes, “I do, dearest.”
Any frustration Joseph feels at the loss of Barclay’s fingers is erased by his excited curiosity as the cook stands and takes one long stride to loom over the seer.
“Yes, darling one?” Indrid smiles sweetly, managing to bat eyelashes that aren’t there, “what do you whaAAAAAnt.” A trill rattles the windows as Barclay grabs both antennas in one hand. He tugs and Indrid’s head whips sideways, mouth opening the instant Barclay’s cock brushes it. His free hand grips the seers jaw, forcing it to stay open as he fucks his face, grunting happily and panting out what Stern knows to be Sylph dirty talk. Joseph only recognizes, “beg,” “mine,” and “pay for” before warm lips wrap around his dick. Duck’s managed to work his way forward, Indrid’s cock is barely still in him, jerking and thrusting shallowly as he purrs around Barclay’s dick.
Duck lifts his head for a beat, “Next time you wanna go for a walk, do me a goddamn favor and let me jerk you off first.”
“I, ohlord, I’m sorry, that was very inconsiderate of me.” He teases as Duck snickers and clambers up to straddle him, the ranger rubbing his dick eagerly as he dives in for a kiss. Kissing Duck always makes him feel like a teenager, like sex is messy and new and so fun that he can’t help but smile.
He cums abruptly, gasping and dragging kisses along Duck’s crooked grin. The ranger looks very pleased with himself, his own hips finally stilling as he gathers Joseph into his arms and whispers, “Love you, city mouse.”
“I love you too.”
A howlgrowlpurr makes them both glance towards the fireplace. Barclay is tugging and stroking Indrid’s antenna as he cums down his throat, the seer frantically touching himself. Indrid grabs Duck’s discarded sweatpants, cumming in them with a weak trill as Barclay pulls away, running his fingers through the feathers on his head as he slumps against him.
Then Indrid’s eyes snap open, “The others will be here in three minutes.”
“Shit” Joseph scrambles up, grabbing his stray clothes and pulling Duck after him towards the bedroom. Barclay and Indrid hurry in behind them, locking the door to be safe.
“Catastrophe avoided” Indrid sighs.
“Thank fuck.” Duck flops onto the bed.
“You feeling okay?” Barclay heads to the attached bathroom to wash his hands.
“Yeah, think the tea finally wore off. Oh, uh, where’s your bag, ‘Drid? I meant it when I said I was gonna groom your feathers.”
“Catch” Barclay tosses him a comb and a bottle of magenta oil before guiding Joseph over to the bed and wrapping himself around him. Joseph leans out of his fuzzy blanket to kiss both Indrid and Duck on the cheek as Duck spritzes oil on the comb and Indrid spreads his wings, chirping when Barclay runs his finger over the end of one.
“Duck? Barclay? Everyone okay in there?” Aubrey calls through the door.
The four of them glance at each other.
“Everything’s perfect.”

a/n: guess i go here now. got inspired by that video where the avs sing their go-to karaoke songs and tbarrie does not disappoint
Tumblr media
Tyson has always had this magnetism about him.
You felt it the first time you met him. It was a sleepy Thursday night in Denver, and your friends had convinced you to join them for a few drinks to celebrate the long weekend you’d all found yourself faced with. You weren’t huge on going out on weekdays, but you did have Friday off because the building that held your office was undergoing construction. Instead of forcing everyone to work from home the company decided to create a long weekend, and you were incredibly grateful. It had been a hard couple of weeks with project deadline after deadline, but that was behind you now and you could kick back and relax. Plus, your friends offered to foot your bill, so how could you say no?
The dive bar you had found yourself crowded into was hosting a karaoke night. It seemed like every patron was scrambling to get a turn at the mic, but you sat at a table off to the side and just cheered them on. Your friends did their best to convince you to do a rendition of ‘Wannabe’ with them but you refused, staying in your seat while they made fools of themselves in front of hundreds of people. Somehow, Sarah had gotten the crowd to join in, and it turned into a giant sing-along. Laughter tumbled from your lips as you watched, and once they finished you whistled loudly, clapping along with the rest of the crowd. The four of them took dramatic bows before they exited stage left. They tumbled back to the table as the emcee called for the next participant.
“Tyson? You’re up next!”
Chants of his name erupted from a group of men across the bar, and one of them peeled off to hop onto the stage. He smiled brightly at the crowd and gave a timid wave before turning to his friends and flipping them off. Their laughter echoed off the walls and you joined in. However, your laughter was less in good spirit and more of the awestruck variety. The man in front of you had kind eyes and gently tousled waves that just suited him. His smile made you want to get to know him better, and you found yourself drawn to him. The opening piano notes of a ballad fluttered through the speakers as you watched intently.
“There were nights when the wind was so cold,” he crooned, and the pitch of his voice surprised you. It took a few more lines for you to realize he was imitating Céline Dion, though rather poorly. Everyone in the bar was enthralled by the performance he was giving, and you spotted more than a few girls near the stage who were trying desperately to get his attention.
The group he came with continued to shout their support, but it was hard to understand them due to just how much they laughed. Prepared to go all out for the chorus, Tyson ripped the microphone from its stand and walked to the edge of the stage. “When you touch me like this, and you hold me like that,” he sang, and turned in the direction of your table. Boldly, the stranger pointed directly at you as he continued in the ridiculous accent. “I just have to admit that it’s all coming back to me.” At the end of the sentence, with his arm still extended, Tyson winked at you.
He continued to sing and the rest of the crowd joined him, but you were too shocked to form the words. You sat there dumbfounded until the end of the song, when you came to your wits just enough to join the applause. Tyson took it all in stride and gave the same wave he offered at the beginning of the performance before he shuffled off the stage. Instead of rejoining the festivities at his friends’ table, the brunette made his way through the crowd towards you. He stuck out at hand once he stopped in front of you, and spoke with the softest demeanour you had ever encountered.
“I couldn’t help but notice you from up there. I’m Tyson.”
Your insides melted at the sound of his voice, and you choked out a reply as you tried to figure out a way to stay close to him forever.
☼☼☼☼
He’s the same way now, a handful of years later. No matter what room you're in or how many people are between the two of you, one soft smile from Tyson has you slinking across the space and into his side. Friends and family laugh at how you’re always found close to one another, but they truly don’t mind because the love between you is palpable. It took you both an incredibly long time to find the happiness each other brings and no one is going to try and take it away from you.
It’s late in the evening, the sun having dipped behind the mountains hours ago, but somehow you’re still stuck repeating the same thank you spiel to wedding guests as you walk around. Tyson is nowhere in sight, but you’re sure he’s doing the same thing. No one informed you how much time you’d actually spend separated from your newly minted husband on your wedding night – if you had known you would have cut the guest list down dramatically.
You slip from the conversation you found yourself in with Tyson’s aunt and grandmother and head to the balcony of the rustic ski lodge you rented for the ceremony and reception. The fresh air greets you like a welcome friend, but it’s chillier than you expected. Wordlessly you pull your husband’s suit jacket tighter around your shoulders and stare at the idyllic landscape in front of you. Though you no longer live in Colorado, Tyson’s job landing you in Edmonton via a short stint in Toronto, you knew you had to get married here. It was your home for so long and your closest friends still reside in the state. Besides, it has that low-key feeling that is an exact replica of your relationship. Everything is easy in Colorado, just like it’s easy with Tyson.
There’s a rustling behind you that signals someone else has appeared on the balcony, and you don’t have to turn around to know it’s Tyson. The air around you has warmed up significantly and there’s a prickle of electricity at the base of your neck that flickers whenever he’s around. A pair of strong arms wrap around your waist, and you lean back into the body they belong to.
“Hey there stranger,” Tyson says softly, tilting your head gently to press a delicate kiss to your lips.
“Long time no see,” you hum in response. “I didn’t know I’d never get to see you once we were married.”
He throws his head back in laughter at your grovelling, and you swear you’d be content if that was the only sound you heard for the rest of your life. “We have a lifetime ahead of us baby, I think we can let your nieces have a few dances with me.”
You know he’s right, but you’ll never admit it. Time doesn’t feel quite as fulfilling when it’s spent apart from Tyson. A comfortable silence engulfs the little bubble you’ve found yourself in, and Tyson says pressed to you as you point out the various constellations littering the night sky. Astronomy was a hobby you picked up one season to keep the loneliness at bay while Tyson was away, but it stuck and he listens to you ramble about the stars as often as he can. The silence is so peaceful, filled with so much love, that you think about never returning to the reception area.
“Do you remember the first night we met?” you whisper, nervous about disturbing the tranquil atmosphere.
“How could I forget? You were the most beautiful girl in the room.” It’s your turn to laugh, but Tyson insists. “I’m serious babe. Gabe had pointed you out when we walked in, but I was too much of a chicken to do anything. I kept waiting, hoping you’d go up and sing a song so I’d have a reason to come talk to you, but you never did. The guys gauded me into doing that ridiculous Céline Dion impression, and I only did it to catch your attention.”
Surprise laces your features. “Why have I never heard this version of events?”
“Because it’s stupid.”
You turn in his grip as gently as possible, looking him in the eyes. “I don’t think anything you do could be considered stupid Tys.”
“Even that one time at Worlds where I cut myself wrestling with Simmer?”
The sparkle in your eyes only intensifies as you giggle. “Maybe that,” you sigh, “But nothing else.”
Out of things to say, probably because he knows that was an incredibly stupid moment, Tyson leans down to close the distance between your lips. The kiss isn’t unlike the ones you’ve shared all day – sweet and full of so much love the grinch would snuff up his nose. However, it’s also different. It manages to convey a thousand words Tyson would never be able to vocalize about how thankful he is for you, and you revel in the feeling. You’ve never loved someone as much as you love him and it’s clear he’s in the same boat.
Eventually you pull away, a bright smile taking up much of your face as you rest your head on Tyson’s shoulder. When Tyson came out to find you he didn’t shut the sliding door properly, and the piano melody that started it all makes its way to your ears. Tyson’s laugh rumbles in his chest and you feel it against like a sunshine beam on your cheek. Wordlessly he begins to sway in time with the music, and you follow his lead.
“I love you,” he says with the same amount of conviction a judge does when giving a sentence.
Your response is automatic, and the easiest thing you’ve ever done. “Forever and ever.”

this post is inspired by this reblog of mine <33 check it if you want to!!
Pairing: timeskip!Tendou x fem!Reader
Genre: fluff and drabble
Warning: grammar errors, its uhhh cheesy ig, bland dialogues because I suck at them, ooc??? and maybe some swearing
I hope this won't plop😭 also someone help me how to describe other gestures besides the forehead kisses, knuckle kisses and hugs that I always include in my writings
Tumblr media
You and Tendou have been together for a long time. When he asked you to join and live with him in Paris, you immediately said yes knowing you'll be fine with him even though you have to leave your home country behind. Moving to another country is pretty tough at first, but slowly the two of you began to adjust and create a routine.
Now, you and tendou are about to celebrate your anniversary. He asked you to dress up prettily. You asked why he just smiled and said this anniversary is much special so its important. You raised your eyebrows as if every anniversary you had with him wasn't special. To you all the anniversaries you had were always special, each one is unique filled with happy memories and for this year you still look forward to what he had prepared.
He told you he will be picking you up later while he will be doing some business. He pulled you close to him and nuzzled his head to your neck like a cat which made you chuckle.
'Keep safe okay.'
'Yes yes no worries babe.' He spoke, muffled because he's still nuzzled on your neck.
He pulled away and looked at you lovingly before leaving. You stood there dumbfounded until the door is shut. He always looks at you with adoration that you never fail to send back at him but you noticed that his behavior today is....quiet weird. You decided to shrug it off.
You took a shower and stepped out to go to your bedroom. In your bed is a box with a note that came none other than from Satori.
'wear this for me.'
-satori♡
You smiled and opened the lid of the box. You pulled out the dress and admired it. Realizing it was the dress you mentioned to him that you've been dying to get. You felt fuzzy and warm with your heart fluttering in your chest realizing he remembered it and got it for you. You made a mental note for yourself to repay him. Snapping out of your daze, you hurriedly dressed up yourself as you saw the clock nearing to the time where Satori promised you to pick you up.
You were still trying to wear your shoes when you heard knocks behind your apartment's door. After finally wearing your shoes, you turned the doorknob and met your boyfriend all dressed up as you.
'There's my baby, I knew it would look perfect on you.'
His words always make you blush even though you two are no longer teenagers.
'Thanks you too.'
You walked near him and fixed his collar, inhaling his perfume as you come closer. You rested your hands on his chest. Taking a look at his form, he looks handsome as ever.
'Babe if you kept staring at me I will definitely melt.'
He teasingly commented. You playfully rolled your eyes at him and grabbed his hand to leave even if you don't have any idea where he will take you.
'Lets go now, don't want us to be late yeah?'
Tumblr media
You were met with the breeze coming from the sea while walking, hands in hands with Tendou. Looking around the place is quiet with only the two of you walking towards a boat. The boat is decorated with flowers and battery operated candles we don't want any incidents to happen don't we. Tendou was first to step inside the small boat and held out his hand.
'Hop in my lady~'
He said it while looking at your eyes and grinning. You took it and stepped in with him while he's keeping the boat steady.
'Careful..careful okay there'
You got in and he gestured you to sit down. You sat opposite of your boyfriend and beside you is a picnic basket with wine and two wine glasses along with some food inside. Satori pushed the boat so it will move further to the sea and began rowing. While he was rowing you took the time to admire everything including him. He's still pretty muscular even if he already quitted volleyball but he continued to maintain his physique by exercising from time to time. The sun is beginning to set, casting the skies a beautiful orange glow.
Satori stopped rowing the boat and looked at you. Seeing that awe struck expression in your face, he knew he succeeded again. You felt his eyes on you and faced your body towards him.
'So....where did you learn how to row?'
'One of the locals who rents boats taught me how, to be honest I thought it was gonna be easy but I was wrong.'
You laughed lightly and continued to chat with him. While talking you two also started to drink the wine and eat the food that was prepared on a small table he brought out.
The amount of happiness you felt at this moment will never compare when you celebrated your first anniversary together. You continued laughing with Tendou when a latern caught your attention. You stopped and observed. Satori also kept quiet to observe you to see how you will react to his surprise.
It already got dark, luckily the candles and the street lamps are kept the place illuminated. That later changed when the laterns began to come out and light up the sky. Your eyes followed the laterns. At that moment it was so beautiful, you don't know if its a coincidence or part of your boyfriends plan.
You felt as if you were in the scene from Tangled. You were far too amazed to even notice your boyfriend. While you were excitedly admiring what he prepared, he took his time to prepare himself on the question he's been dying to tell you.
He knew it's about time for you to know when he was sleeping beside you one night.
He was just staring at the ceiling and he can't sleep while you were peacefully sleeping on top of him. He looked at you and realized after all you two have been through you still stuck with him. He remembered how you listened and comforted him from his insecurities. How you greeted him with a hug everytime he returns home from work. He even remembered how you kept practicing to cook for him. He remembered how he met you and how you got together with him. Everything, you're always there with him. He doesn't want to let you go and felt that he needs to confirm that you and him will be with each other forever.
He looked at the calendar besides him and saw your anniversary date. He thought about it and realized he had enough money to buy you the ring you wanted. Funny how it seems the universe is inclined with his intentions. He will have to start planning to propose to you but first he needs his sleep while keeping his arms around you.
'Y/n...'
'Hmmm?'
You responded but still enraptured by floating lanterns. He coughed and caught your attention.
'I know it was a big decision when I asked you back then to come with me here in Paris. I was prepared to hear your rejection back then but your excited yes shocked me a little.......'
He continued to say what he had always wanted to say to you. You started to tear up feeling overwhelmed by his confession. Somehow this scenario feels oddly similar to his first confession to you and hit you with nostalgia.
'Now I wanted to ask you to um...'
He felt flustered and his heart beating. He sighed before continuing and brought out a small box out of his pocket. He placed it on his palm and slowly opened it. Now is the time to ask the big question.
'Y/n L/n will you marry-'
'Yes!'
You happily interrupted him and threw your arms around him, burying your face to his neck to avoid seeing you in tears. Tendou is shocked and happy at the same time now that you said yes, you still have to wear the ring which you haven't done yet. He was about to take your hands and slid it on your finger when you hugged him.
He patted your back and smiled also starting to feel his tears build up when he realized you were crying.
'Hey- come on now I don't want to see you crying.'
He shushed you softly. You calmed down and backed off. You were still wiping your tears off you cheeks with your other hand when he slid the ring on your finger. You kept rubbing until you peeked your eyes open and saw the ring.
The tears began to build up again and you cried. Thinking what you did to deserve such man like him, he surprised you too much today you can't help but feel overflowing joy and love. You try to form words but the hiccups are preventing you and trying your best to wipe off the endless tears from your eyes.
Your attempt to dry them off fail until you felt Satori your now fiancé, use his handkerchief to help you. You finally looked at him through blurry eyes and saw how he was also crying while looking at you. Your hand reached out to his face to dry his tears.
He held your hand on his face and brought it near his lips to kiss your ring. His gesture made you cry harder.
'Damn it Satori! Stop making me cry you dummy.'
You finally spoke again. You made him laugh and stop his tears. Tendou tried to help you clear the tears from your cheeks again until its gone.
When you two both calmed down, he pressed his forehead against yours and connected his lips to yours while both of his hands are cupping each sides of your face. The kiss made you feel like fireworks soaring in the sky. He stopped and murmured against your lips.
'I love you so so much, thank you for being with me and loving me I promise to cherish you for eternity my paradise.'
'I love you so much too Satori...more than you would ever know.'
He let out laugh from your words. His laugh made you feel giddy. His yours and you are his officially.
'You know babe our setting really reminds me of that scene from Tangled.'
'Well...where did you think I got the inspiration from?'

Chapter 2: To Morrowind
summary Fahjoth's prison sentence comes to an end and he is released mere weeks after the loss of his twin, Ribyna. “Each Event is preceded by Prophecy. But without the Hero, there is no Event.”
                                  - Zurin Arctus, the Underking
                                  ———————————————
“Fahjoth Vetharys?”
In the fog of exhaustion and sorrow that clouded his mind, Fahjoth hadn’t noticed the prison guards stopping outside his cell until they spoke his name.
“Yeah?”
“You’re to come with us. Emperor’s orders.”
More orders from the Emperor himself...
Fahjoth should have been surprised, but these days he barely felt anything other than morose. Ever since Ribyna was taken away, Fahjoth had felt as if someone had ripped off one of his own arms. Lost and in mourning, it had been hard to eat and even harder to sleep.
And the precious few hours of sleep he managed to attain were plagued with nightmares — of burning, ashen wastelands, of rising crescent moons, of walking corpses and of demonic figures with gleaming scarlet eyes.
So it was without protest that Fahjoth got to his feet, allowed his wrists to be restrained, and walked willingly and in silence alongside the prison guards, who escorted him out of the prison and away from the Imperial City itself.
The procession was odd, but Fahjoth couldn’t care enough to question it. Maybe they had decided he was guilty after all, and it was time for him to follow his twin to whichever gallows they deigned to hang him from.
Fahjoth almost smiled at the thought.
Perhaps that would be a relief.
                                  ———————————————
The dark haze dissipated, revealing a barren land under siege from a storm of dust and ash. Vivid red clouds churned overhead, bathing the scene in a vibrant crimson glow. A voice, wispy and echoing, was clear even over the howling of the wind.
They have taken you from the Imperial City’s prison,
first by carriage and now by boat, to the east.
                                             To Morrowind.
Blackened trees, their branches naked and as sharp as spears, swayed and whipped in the wind, while jagged rocks stood fast and unyielding against the storm.
Fear not, for I am watchful.
The red skies suddenly vanished, replaced by heavy blue storm clouds that flashed with blinding light as thunder cracked and roared overhead.
                                    You have been chosen.
The rain was deafening, almost as loud as the thunder as it smashed the water’s glassy surface and distorted the reflection of the moon and stars overhead, scattering shards of light into the darkness.
“Wake up. We’re here. Why are you shaking? Are you okay? ... Wake up!”
When Fahjoth opened his eyes, it took a few seconds before he was able to fully register his surroundings. He was below the decks of a wooden boat, the walls and floors of which creaked as it rocked steadily on whatever body of water it was currently stationed. As he tried to process the confusing blur of images and voices that had composed his dreams — were they his dreams, or something else entirely? — he flinched as he finally noticed that he wasn’t alone.
“Sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you,” the stranger apologised. Fahjoth merely blinked; the last thing he had been expecting to wake up and see was a blatantly shirtless and very well-muscled Dunmer, but before he could even think of a response, his travel mate had grabbed his arm and was hauling Fahjoth to his feet. “Stand up... there you go. You were dreaming, by the looks of it. You’ve been out cold since we left the mainland. What's your name?”
“Uh— Fahjoth,” Fahjoth answered, feeling very slow and stupid as his head spun. The ache in his temples wasn’t helping matters at all, but the other Mer didn’t seem to be judging him.
“Jiub,” the Dunmer, Jiub, introduced himself. He began to brush a few strands of straw from Fahjoth’s back and shoulders as he talked. “Well, not even last night's storm could wake you. I heard them say we've reached Morrowind, I'm sure they'll let us go."
“I don’t even remember—“ Fahjoth started, only to freeze and falter as Jiub’s words sank in. “Morrowind?” he repeated, feeling a spark of recollection. “That’s what— did you hear her too?”
Jiub raised a scarred brow, and so Fahjoth continued. “There was a woman, I think, I heard her, and she said— she said we were going to Morrowind. And... something else...” The harder he tried to remember, the worse his headache got and he rubbed his forehead with frustration. The memories were trickling away faster than water from a cupped hand.
“You must‘ve dreamt it,” Jiub said. “Whatever you were dreaming about, it looked intense.” He cut himself off abruptly as the sound of footsteps reached them, gradually growing louder as whoever they belonged to approached. “Quiet, here comes the guard. Just do what they ask of you and you’ll be alright.”
Fahjoth opened his mouth to reply, to stutter another question, to ask if Jiub had any idea what was going on — but Jiub raised a finger to his lips, signalling for quiet, and Fahjoth’s voice died in his throat. Instead he was silent as the guard, decked out in extravagant Imperial-style armour, led him above decks and out into the open air.
Blinking in the sudden harsh daylight, with a fine drizzle hitting his face from the moment he stepped outside, Fahjoth was momentarily stunned. Though he hadn’t set foot here in many years, this land was unmistakable, with the sounds and visuals stirring memories that Fahjoth had long since forgotten he even had. Jiub was right; they had arrived in Morrowind. Where in Morrowind they were, Fahjoth wasn’t exactly sure. It wasn’t anywhere he could put a name to, but the terrain was familiar to what he remembered seeing while growing up — a whole sixteen or so years ago, before he and Ribyna had left for Cyrodiil.
An echoing cry suddenly rent the air, and Fahjoth felt his heart jolt as more memories came flooding back, one by one. Turning his head towards the sound, he gasped as he spotted the unmistakable silhouette of a silt strider, barely visible through the misty wall of rain. He almost smiled; the nostalgia was hitting him in waves, and for a moment he was so overwhelmed that he completely forgot about his current predicament. That was, until he felt the manacles removed from his wrists by the guard, who then gave Fahjoth his instructions for where to go, pointing down to a building sitting near the shoreline.
With Jiub’s words in mind Fahjoth walked down to the building, where a guard opened the door to let him in. Fahjoth was burning with questions; why was he in Morrowind? Had he been deported? What was going to happen to him now? The anxieties that came with facing the unknown began to niggle at the back of his mind, and it was with hesitation that Fahjoth crossed into the warm, dimly-lit office.
He barely had time to survey his surroundings before an elderly man called him forward. “Over here, please,” he said, his gaze fixed on Fahjoth as he approached. “Welcome to the Seyda Neen Census and Excise Office. Now, you’ll have to be recorded before you’re officially released, and I need to confirm your identity as well. Are you ready?”
Can someone just tell me what the fuck is going on?! Fahjoth wanted to cry, but when he opened his mouth, what came out instead was a meek “Yes sir.”
“Very good. Now, you have come to us from the Imperial City Prison, yes?”
“Yessir.”
“And you are Vetharys?”
“Yessir.”
“Fahjoth Vetharys, yes?”
“Yessir.”
Fahjoth’s brows twitched in bemusement as the man let out a sigh of obvious relief. “Thank the divines for that,” he huffed. “You wouldn’t believe the trouble we’ve had getting you here. Confusion and incompetence everywhere... No matter, you’re here now. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr Vetharys, my name is Socucius Ergalla.” He held his hand out towards Fahjoth, who gave it a tentative shake with his own. “Alright, if you could just sign your name on that parchment there, I’ll get these papers stamped and we can finish processing you.”
Fahjoth turned to look at the table with dread, where sure enough, a scrap of parchment and a quill sat waiting. The last thing he wanted to admit was how much trouble he had with reading and writing, especially when there was so much else going on that he was uncertain of. He wandered over, picked up the quill loosely in one hand and lowered it to the parchment, grimacing as he produced an ugly blot of ink and a completely illegible scribble. Hoping that it would suffice anyway, he placed the quill back inside the inkpot and faced Ergalla again.
“Sir? Mr Ergalla?” he started, wringing his hands nervously. “I... I really don’t know what’s going on, or what I’m doing here. Nobody’s told me nothing.”
“Not to worry,” Ergalla replied heartily. “You‘ll be receiving a letter that should explain everything. Right.” He held out the papers he had been writing on to Fahjoth, who did not feel reassured in the slightest as he took them. “Take these to Sellus Gravius, just down the hall and in the next room. You can’t miss him. He’ll handle the rest for you.”
With a forced smile and murmur of thanks, Fahjoth dipped his head and followed Ergalla’s directions, feeling the knot of worry in his stomach tighten and weigh more heavily than ever. Sure enough an Imperial was waiting for him, his expression surly as he watched Fahjoth come through the doorway.
“Your papers,” he said, his voice as stern as his face as he held out his hand expectantly. Fahjoth handed them over without question, waiting as the guard briefly read over them. Then, seemingly satisfied, he spoke again. “Thank you. Word of your arrival only reached me yesterday. I am Sellus Gravius. I'm here to welcome you to Morrowind."
Morrowind... Fahjoth nodded his thanks, but he couldn’t hold his questions any longer. “Thanks... I... I don’t suppose you know what I’m doing here, d’you? I don’t have a clue why I was brought here, nobody’s explained anything to me.”
Gravius’ expression was grim. “I’m afraid I don't know why you're here. Or why you were released from prison and shipped here. But I can tell you that, according to my instructions, the authorisation for your release came directly from Emperor Uriel Septim VII himself.”
Fahjoth had to force himself to focus on Gravius following this bombshell, his mind whirling once again. “When you leave this office, you’re a free man,” Gravius continued. “But before you go, I have instructions on your duties. Instructions from the Emperor. So pay careful attention."
It was all too much to process. So not only was he now a free man, after years spent wasting away in prison, his release had been authorised by the Emperor himself? What would the Emperor stand to gain by personally releasing a nobody like him — to Morrowind, of all places?
“I— it’s a lot to take in,” Fahjoth said, apologetic for his dazed state. He could only be thankful — and somewhat surprised — that Gravius was being so patient.
“I understand. It's all very mysterious. But that's the way the Empire works. Silence. Secrecy. Let not the left hand know what the right hand is doing. Anyway.” He peered at Fahjoth with scrutiny. “Are you ready for your instructions?”
Swallowing, Fahjoth nodded. “I suppose so.”
“Excellent.” Gravius turned his back on Fahjoth for a moment, standing before a nearby table. When he turned back again, he was holding a package and a roll of parchment. "This package came with the news of your arrival. Well— it actually came a few weeks ago, with the prisoner who was accidentally brought here before you. What a mess that was...” Before Fahjoth could inquire, Gravius continued on. “Anyway, you’re to take it to Caius Cosades, in the town of Balmora. Go to the South Wall Cornerclub, and ask for Caius Cosades — they'll know where to find him. Serve him as you would serve the Emperor himself. I also have a letter for you, and a disbursal to your name."
“A letter...?” Fahjoth’s heart sank as his eyes fell on the rolled-up parchment, and his cheeks burned as he was finally forced to come clean. “I... I can’t really read properly. Not very well, anyway.”
“I see.” If Gravius was judging him, he hid it well. He passed the package to Fahjoth, then once his hands were free he took the parchment, unfurled it and lay it down on the nearest surface. He gestured for Fahjoth to stand beside him, and once he complied Gravius began to read aloud, trailing his finger over the words so that Fahjoth could keep up.
          “Fahjoth Vetharys,
You have been given these directions and a package of documents. Do not show them to anyone. Do not attempt to read the documents in the package. The package has been sealed, and your tampering will be discovered and punished.
        Follow these directions.
Proceed to the town of Balmora in Vvardenfell District. Report to a man named Caius Cosades. He will be your superior and patron; you will follow his orders. His residence is not known, but ask at the cornerclub called "South Wall". People there will know where to find Caius Cosades. When you report to Caius Cosades, deliver the package of documents to him, and wait for further orders.
Remember. You owe your life and freedom to the Emperor. Serve him well, and you will be rewarded. Betray him, and you will suffer the fate of all traitors.
I have the Honor to prepare this at the direction of his Most Sovereign Majesty the Emperor Uriel Septim,
        Glabrio Bellienus
        Personal Secretary to the Emperor.”
Fahjoth tried his hardest to commit the instructions to memory, focusing on the most important parts with as much mental energy as he could muster in his confused state. He then took the parchment, thanking Gravius with a polite smile as he was given directions for how to get to Balmora. It felt odd, having to ask how to find his way to his own childhood hometown, but after spending so many years away from it, Fahjoth wouldn’t have the faintest idea of which way to go to get there. It was then time to leave.
He headed out through the office doors and stood for a moment to gather his bearings in the dreary Seyda Neen afternoon, frowning as his hair and clothes were damp within less than a minute. The constant, fine rain still hadn’t eased off from earlier, and it was with confusion and great apprehension that Fahjoth began to make his way along the path that would take him back to Balmora. Despite a quiet excitement that churned in his chest at the prospect of seeing it again, he bore a heavy heart as well, knowing that it wouldn’t be the same without Ribyna there alongside him.

Unlike No Other: Iba, Zambales White Sand Beach Resort
More than a breathtaking view, what I admire in the places I have been was their beauty of simplicity and peacefulness.
Tumblr media
In the summer of 2018, I have experienced heaven in the sanctuary of Iba, Zambales. That voyage gave me the space I needed to breathe the freshest air of the Philippines and relax for three days. So far, this is the best place I've been.
Waves. Breeze. Sunrise. The things that welcomed us to the white sand beach of the North. After just a four-hour trip from Quezon City, we have reached the peaceful place of Iba, Zambales beach. On the path to the shore, the embrace of the white sand will comfort your bare feet like your weary soul is being healed. It was the first time I meet this place but my heart felt like I’ve known her all along and I missed her embrace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The municipality of Iba in Zambales is known to be the second-largest provincial capital in terms of land area in the Central Luzon Region. This is the birthplace of former Philippine President Ramon Magsaysay. A progressive and competitive city as the national government describes it. How wonderful it is that the beauty of their nature was preserved through time. They have pollution-free beaches because of the absence of industrial-polluting activities in the local area. This is proof that the locals loved their place so much that they will never do something that will destroy it.
Other than Boracay, Iba Zambales also boast their white sand beaches. It is not very white as the sand in Boracay but at least it is very clean. Free from garbage and free from toxic waste.
Tumblr media
As my feet met the sea, all I want to do is submerge myself and breathe underwater. The waves calmly approach me and the water is very crystal clear. It was so peaceful and the waves are so kind. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy your vacation. I am not good at swimming but I still enjoy playing in the water.
Unlike other beaches wherein the water causes so much irritation when it goes to your eyes, here, it is not like that. You will enjoy opening your eyes to see the world below the sea.

Unlike other beaches wherein the water causes so much irritation when it goes to your eyes, here, it is not like that. You will enjoy opening your eyes to see the world below the sea. On the seafloor, there is the debris of some little corals that you would see. Sadly, the fishes know their parameters of where to swim but then, near the shore, there are chances that you might see small fishes lurking around.
There are so many activities that we did that time we are on that beach. We tried riding a banana boat which is a terrible idea for non-swimmers. Also, we rented and rode on a jet ski. We had a great time together with my family. As always, the best places are better experienced with the people you love.

I miss the waves of Zambales. Every moment I experience there will always be my treasure.
