i live here with the love of my life or whatever!!! we’ve been watching starstruck and playing BG3. in the past week, i’ve made chocolate chip cookies with pretzel bits, a seedy whole wheat bread, pesto with my own basil, rosemary garlic flatbreads, banana-bread-spice-cake, lemon garlic chicken soup. it might get cool enough to open the windows this week. we’re hosting a board game night with friends in a couple days. we are talking about maybe adopting a wee beastie. this is good. 💗
#it’s a big two bedroom and i had the initially controversial but brilliant idea to#make the ‘living room’ the dining room and the ‘second bedroom’ the den#so the big kitchen table is the hearth of the main living space and movie nights are so so cozy!#and the ‘dining room’/breakfast nook is a reading/study space#it’s such a good setup i love it!#and this apartment is kinda old (but recently renovated) and it’s got so many weird angles and quirks but in a cute charming way#like how in the sims weird shaped spaces improve your sim’s environmental happiness#anyway#eventually we’ll put more stuff on the walls too#there’s also a wet bar. we filled it with board games.#and oh oh the balcony faces southeast so my bbs get SO much sun my malabar spinach is THRIVING 💚#also also Books is suuuch a good housemate bless#i haven’t had to clean the bathroom once since we’ve been here#also also every friday can be… you know 😌

#i am fucking neck deep in the sims 2 super collection and will not be resurfacing any time soon#so far nannies are causing ALL of my problems in this neighbourhood it’s actually ridiculous#tell me why this bitch; instead of waiting for my sim to get home from work and pay her; left early and stole one of our kitchen counters#and THE TODDLER’S XYLOPHONE?? what was it all for#then she refused to come back the next day so i had to keep the teenager home to watch his little brother. SHERYL WHEN I FIND YOUUUU#thank god i managed to resurrect his grades#also in a different family the kid aged up into the fucking whiniest person in the world. and i’m trying to find him a person#but he doesn’t like ANYONE. it’s exhausting. i’m playing the prosperity challenge right? which means i started out with four CAS families#all with kids about the same age. and i was hoping some of them would like each other so i could start merging families next generation#but one of my boys was like ‘nope i like this random girl’ and another was like ‘nope i found a really boring boy’#and another was like ‘i like the paper girl!’ but why do none of you like EACH OTHER. answer me that#i’m not sending all of your boring significant others to college with you. you can have your high school sweetheart with the alien eyes#because she’s pretty cool looking; but the cookie cutter boy and the paper girl might have to stay home to be honest#what else is happening. i mean i renovated a maxis dorm and built some really rubbish community lots#i’m horrendous at building. i go for function over aesthetics so i end up with really boring buildings#but the neighbourhood now has a cemetery; a general store/coffee shop and a roller rink/arcade#so that’s kind of nice. not that anyone USES these businesses. i sent one of the boys there to look for his future spouse and just found#somebody’s dad repeatedly falling over#maybe once they all get to college i can just do some sort of forced proximity love potion situation and they’ll HAVE to like each other#i don’t want to add too many households to the neighbourhood and only one of my original families has one kid#that’s why i want as many people as possible to marry off. #vent#me posting#i feel like it's fair of me to keep my fucking window open when I got stuck with the tiniest room in the house that for some fuck forsaken-#reason has 2 (technically 3 but that one extra doesn't seem to work) fucking vents‚ while they blast the fucking temp to 20°c-#meaning my laptop overheats faster and I feel like I'm getting fucking heat stroke#btw the way the vents are set up‚ there is no physically possible way to not have my bed nearly directly under one of them#so no‚ actually‚ I don't give a shit if the fuvking electrical bill is more expensive‚ we don't have a living room I can set my xbox up in-#and i have no where's comfortable to use my laptop‚ where in my other option is sit in the singular fucking dining chair in our incomplete-#kitchen and stare at the fridge or my phone for like 12 hours‚ then sweat to death in bed for another 12‚ play acting at sleeping-#while gasping like a fucking fish.#yes I get my room is not the most important reno to get done in this fuckass house‚ but unfortunately you're barely‚ if at all-#working on any other part of renovating this fucking place#also whatever sensors you think are working to make up for how cold this house is aren't gonna give a shit‚ since one of our-#kitchen windows keep fucking falling out. nevermind that when i was stuck sleeping in your fucking room because you fucked up the-#flooring‚ and had to pull it all out in my room‚ you left me with a window missing‚ and I put up a garbage bag-#because I was worried one of the cats would escape‚ yet you only fixed the window near 2 weeks later when my floor-#which had been out for a month and a bit‚ was finally fixed and you would be moving back into that fucking room#thanks for that realy appreciate it
