Summary: Things happen and you end up living in a manga cafe when you are offered a new home and an exciting new housemate. You end up making a contract with the interspecies program and that changes your life forever. Good or bad? Let’s find out.

"You can't stay here anymore."

You blinked as the words settled in. Your roommate and her boyfriend, or rather fiance had asked you to come out of your own room and have a chat with them. You were all sitting on the kitchen table, you on one side and they on the other side.

"W-what?" You stuttered, not believing what you were hearing. Weren't you the one that invited her to live with you in the apartment that the two of you shared until her boyfriend moved in also? "W-why!?"

"We have been talking..." The man looked at your roommate and then you, "That this place isn't big enough for four."

"Are you taking someone in? Without asking from me?" You asked and they nodded. You admit that you got mad, but you calmed down the second you saw your roommate hold her stomach and her fiance set a hand on top of hers.

"Are you guys...?" You swallowed, "Are you having a baby?"

"We wanted to make things work, but there is just no room for all of us." The fiance explained and he sounded sincere as was the frown on his face.

"We assure you, we didn't plan any of this!" Your roommate cried out, but then she looked at her stomach and a kind gentle smile rose to her lips, "But this baby is a blessing and we want to have it."

"Ah..." You blinked before nodding, "I understand... You do what you have to do..."

You really did understand. Babies took a lot of space and time. You couldn't be mad at them for planning their and their baby's future together. There just wasn't any room for you in those plans.

"I'm sorry, but we need space for the baby." Your roommate looked genuinely sorry and her fiance frowned, "Can't you go live with your parents until you find a new place?"

You shook your head. That wasn't possible, you had sworn that you would never return there. Not that you had a bad relationship with your parents, but when you had moved out and made it your goal to live as an independent adult, your father said he was proud of you. Just what kind of a disappointment you would be if you returned home with your tail between your leg? No, you couldn't risk it.

"We will rent a space for your stuff until you find a place to live."

"It's the least we can do."

"I see..." You nodded, "Thank you, I'll try to find a new place to live quickly. When do you need me out?"

The two of them glanced at each other and you frowned. That wasn't a good look. Your friend looked back at you, "I'm sorry, but my parents are coming tomorrow to the city and we would hate to put them in some hotel when they want to get to know their future son-in-law."

So they wanted you out today or tomorrow tops. Your disappointment must have shown because the boyfriend quickly added, "We, no, I will help you with your stuff starting now! I don't want the future mother of my child to worry or exhaust herself."

"Oh babe, you're so sweet." The two of them smiled lovingly at each other before they pecked each other on the lips. You nodded but you weren't feeling as hopeful and positive about the future as they were...

You quickly found out that finding a new place to live proved to be a lot harder when you were seeking one alone. You went to see many apartments but you soon found out that even if the place appeared to be perfect, the rent certainly wasn't for your small and empty wallet.

You couldn't even afford a place to stay at, or not at least one with a decent bed. No, you had to resort to staying in a manga cafe when the day would come to an end and night came. It wasn't the comfiest place, but the reclining chair was your bed now and the tiny cube room where you stayed was your temporary home.

It wasn't that expensive, but your savings were running low, eating pre-heated meals weren't exactly healthy and the worst was that no one wanted to hire a homeless person.

You slurped your cup noodles and sighed as you went through some pages on the computer. You had multiple tabs open, some being about open job offers and others about possible apartments. So far you hadn't gotten even one invite to a job interview...

"Fuck my life..." You groaned as you went to close a website, but then a new ad popped up. Thinking that it was probably spam or some commercial, you moved to close it but then it caught your attention.

'NEED A JOB OR A PLACE TO STAY? WANT TO MEET NEW PEOPLE? CLICK THE LINK IN BIO!'

That sounded almost too good to be true. You were about to close the site when suddenly there was a knock on the door behind you.

"Yes?" You called and the voice replied, "Your coffee miss?"

"Ah, yes, come on in." You said and the door opened and a young waitress came from behind the door with your coffee.

"Here you go- Oh, what's this?" She took a look at the computer screen and you panicked, fearing that she would think that you were using their computers to download something bad or worst, illegal.

"Shit, I didn't click it so there shouldn't be any viruses-!"

"No, I don't mean anything bad. I was just taken aback since my friend's cousin got that same invite. Apparently, it's about this new government's Interspecies Exchange Bill. You know, the people who, excuse my language, are related to fantasy creatures?" She said with a light smile, "They clicked the link and apparently it changed their life for the better!"

You blinked. You had heard of them.

In the past governments used to hide these humanoid species from the world but now for one reason or another, they were now starting to live among you humans. You had seen a few during the last year and while you admit, they were cool, you were never brave enough to befriend one.

You glanced at the ad and then at the young waitress. "Honestly, it sounds too good to be true." You said a little sadly because you knew that luck never favored you.

"You never know if you don't try." She smiled as she handed you your coffee and closed the door behind her. You sipped your bean juice as you took a look at the ad.

You never know if you don't try, huh? Fine, you took the bait.

You clicked the ad and a brand new website popped up, welcoming you for a new beginning, asking for your current information, and backgrounds alongside a recent picture of yourself. Talk about suspicious, this could have been a scam or worse... But on closer inspection, they didn't ask anything that could be actually used against you.

"Fine, I'll bite the bait." You nodded as you started to fill in your information and chose the most recent and decent picture of yourself from your phone. Once you had filled out the whole application you hit SENT and smiled by yourself.

"As if this helps..." You muttered as you took a sip of your lukewarm coffee and that is when you heard a bing from your phone, signaling that you had gotten a e-mail. Okay, now you were confused. You used the computer to log onto your e-mail and saw a new message there dedicated to you. Confused, you clicked the message and saw that you had been selected for an interview!

"Already!?" You gasped. You looked at the message and it appeared to be legit and not just some scam. You looked at the message and there was a phone number you were expected to call if you chose to proceed with the selection progress.

You quickly reached for your phone that was resting on a charger by the computer, and input the number but before you called you took a deep breath. You could do this. If you failed then at least you tried. So you hit the call button and put the phone by your ear.

"Hello?"

You swallowed nervously as you looked at your phone. 10 minutes time. You were on your way to the cafe where the man you had talked with on the phone had instructed you to go if you wanted to learn more about the job or possible home you were looking for.

You had put on your best shirt and pants, a classic combo, and some makeup, but you left the perfume out because the man on the phone had asked you to come without any. You felt beautiful and you didn't look homeless so you were winning so far!

Your phone's GPS peeped, letting you know that you had arrived at your destination. You looked up and blinked.

This was a cat cafe. You looked at the info the man had given and you were right, it was this cat cafe. It was certainly different to have an interview in such a quirky place. Shrugging, you stepped inside and you were greeted by dozens of curious little meows. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of cute kitties that came to greet you.

"Good day, ma'am!" Came a peppy voice and you turned to look and you felt your eyes widen. A real cat girl came to greet you, with a human body but with cat ears and a tail. It was the first time you had seen a demi- or pseudohuman up so close.

"Table for one?" She asked happily, and you actually panicked lightly, "Uh, actually, I'm meeting someone!"

"Oh, you're the new girl?"

New girl? Oh God, please don't let this be some sort of trick to turn you into a prostitute! The panic must have been clear on your face because the cat girl giggled, "Please do not worry. Just leave your shoes here and follow me."

You nodded and did as she told you to, following her into deeper parts of the cafe. You took quick notice that everyone working there were demihumans, but no one seemed to mind. No, they all loved it, asking for pictures with the waiters and waitresses.

"Ah, there you are." Came a man's voice and you turned to look and saw a young wearing a suit and sunglasses even inside the cafe. He must have been the man you had spoken on the phone with. He motioned you to sit down and you did as he asked you to.

"We talked over the phone. My name is Smith and you were...?"

You told him your name and the man smiled as he nodded, "Yes, just as was written in your info."

Just like magic, the man pulled a little stack of papers from thin air and looked at them over, "According to these papers you filled out, you're currently jobless and homeless. Is that correct?"

Ouch, he went right to the sore spots. You nodded, "Yes, sir, but I'm young and eager to work for my salary or home."

"I can see that, you're only 20 and already so mature." He smiled as he put the papers down on the table. "We did a little backup check just in case. A daughter, youngest out of three siblings, graduated and moved on your own with the little savings you had? That must haven't been easy."

You were stunned that they had managed to get so much information with very little you offered to them, but despite your info, the man smiled, "But my, you're clean as a whistle. No drugs or any other suspicious substance, not a single note from the police, not even a traffic ticket. I must say, I'm impressed."

"Thank you, sir."

"In fact, I think we are done here."

Huh? Done so soon? But you barely even talked with each other, didn't he have any questions or anything he wanted to ask from you?

You were so stunned that you nearly missed the paper and pencil he slid to you. You blinked and looked at the paper and then the man, "What is this?"

"This my dear is a contract that you dedicate yourself to the interspecies program. I assure you, we take good care of you as you work for the company. We will provide you with a place to live in, money for food, and everyday life necessities, taken that you will be sharing the house with a member of the non-human liminal species or as called, extra-species."

"Extra-species?" You blinked, "Like the people who work here?"

"Yes," The man in the suit nodded, "This is just one of our many agencies that employes extra-species."

"I see..." You nodded. You had nothing against living with someone else, heck, you lived with your ex-roommate for a year and a half before her boyfriend came into the picture. You bet you could live with someone who was a little different as long as they were kind to you!

You smiled, determination filling you as you grabbed the pencil and wrote your name down, sealing your fate. You looked at the man and smiled, "When can I start?"

"Marvelous, I admire your enthusiasm," He nodded as he took the paper and got up on his feet, you copying him, and he offered his hand to you. "Allow me to be the first one to welcome you aboard the program."

You were honestly so happy, you shook his hand and gave him the most excited smile you could muster, "Thank you for this chance sir, I won't let you down!"

"I trust in that." He nodded and once the two of you pulled your hands back, he reached for his jacket's pocket and pulled out a card that he handed to you. "Meet me at this place tomorrow at 1 pm. You will be housed immediately with your matching new roommate."

"Ah, my stuff, it's all in-!"

"Do not worry, the moving men will fetch your belongings from the storage unit." Mister Smith said and you blinked in surprise, "How did you-?"

"We have our ways to make your and your new housemate's life easier." He smiled as he lowered his sunglasses enough to wink at you playfully. You nodded, a little unsure, but mostly you were ecstatic. You got a new place to live and you would possibly get a new friend out of your soon-to-be housemate! Oh, you wished she was a kind one.

That night you barely caught any sleep in your reclining chair at the manga cafe. You were so excited yet nervous also. So when the time came for you to pick up everything you had in person and time to leave the cafe for good came, you were feeling enthusiastic.

The staff that you had grown familiar with wished you good luck out there and that if you ever needed, they would have little room ready for you instantly. You almost felt a little sad, but your happiness was stronger than your sadness. You put the address on the card that mister Smith had given to you into your phone and followed your GPS to your new home.

The walk was a little longer than you had anticipated but when you turned around the corner you saw a moving truck and people. Curious, you walked over there and took a look at the house. It was a gorgeous two-story house that was surrounded by thick walls, a gate being the only way in, a dark red roof, and big windows.

"I take you like what you see?"

You let out a short scream as you whipped around and saw mister Smith suddenly standing there behind you. The man chuckled and you gasped, "You scared me!"

"My apologies. I can be light on my feet." He nodded, "You seem to like this house."

"Oh, I was on my way to-!" You were saying when your phone peeped and you quickly glanced at it. It was the GPS, letting you know that you had arrived at your destination. You blinked, slightly confused as you turned to look at the man before you.

"Is this...?" You looked and saw familiar moving boxes being carried inside. Your boxes, from your storage unit, filled with your stuff, such as books and stuff you had collected during the years.

"No way...!" You gasped, "Is this...! My new home?"

"That would be correct." Mister Smith nodded before pulling his jacket's sleeve back so he could take a look at the wristwatch he had there. "It's about 1 pm."

"Yes?" You nodded and he grinned, "Meaning that your new housemate should be here any minute now."

Just as he said that a car pulled by the road, but not just any car but a limousine! Mister Smith smiled, "Aah, just in time."

You watched the limousine driver get out and move to open the passenger's door and you watched eyes wide how the most beautiful- No, the most handsome creature stepped out of the vehicle.

A man. He was wearing an expensive and high-ranking men's kimono and Japanese sandals and he had long bright yellow hair with red streaks akin to flames, but what caught your attention were two large pointed fox ears on the top of his head and 5 fluffiest looking thick fox tails behind him.

As you gawked, the man stepped aside and a boy that looked identical to this man stepped out. Only this boy had only 1 tail.

Finally, mister Smith gently put his hand on your shoulder and stepped ahead towards the two males, taking you to greet them with him. As you came closer, the fox men turned to look at you and smiled.

"Mister Smith!" The 5 tailed man shouted and bowed lightly, "It is an honor to meet you again."

"Pleasure is all mine, my lord," Smith said back as he bowed also and then looked at you. "Allow me to introduce you to lord Rengoku Kyojuro and his younger brother Rengoku Senjuro. They are Kitsunes or as you may know them Nine-Tailed Foxes."

You blinked, stunned to silence by the foxes' eyes as they looked at you. Golden eyes with red pupils, they were magical, no, magnificent.

Mister Smith continued, "Their family has ruled Japan's extra-species, or as they are called, Yokai, over centuries. Now, as we humans all around the world are welcoming extra-species to our everyday life, they are here on behalf of Japan's department."

Aah, you understood. They were here to strengthen the bond between countries and learn more from each other, both humans and extra-species alike.

"It is an honor finally meeting you, my dearest Hime." The older Kitsune bowed to you and you blinked as you registered what he had just called you. A Princess? You blushed as you bowed back and introduced yourself.

The Kitsune, Kyojuro smiled widely and you felt your heart skip a beat as you saw that bright smile of his and his intense stare.

"I must say, my bride really is a gorgeous human!" He suddenly shouted and you stared at him as his words slowly sank in. You blinked before blushing furiously, "W- wait, a bride!?"

"Yes, I chose you as my future wife!" Kyojuro nodded, "To strengthen our bond, we are to be married!"

"Wait, hold on, marriage!? Me!? Shouldn't we get to know each other first or-!?" You turned to look at mister Smith who just smiled at you, "Yes, that is why you will be living together, getting to know each other, and teaching each other about your different worlds."

"W- why?" You asked, "Why like this?"

"Lord Kyojuro and young Senjuro come from a very traditional Japanese mansion in the middle of the forest so all this modern life and western architectural is new for them." Mister Smith explained and you blinked as you turned to look at the Japanese men, no, foxes.

"Allow us to thank you for teaching us the modern ways." The blond man said as he and his little brother bowed to you. You panicked slightly, not used to such gestures and suddenly everything you knew about Japan and its culture came to your aid.

"Ah, the honor is mine, dear lord!" You tried your hardest not to stutter and you made sure to show respect to them by bowing back to them. You were nearly startled out of your skin when the older fox laughed, "Truly, my bride is the cutest!"

While you were stunned, mister Smith laughed and pulled out a debit card, and handed it to you. "Please use this card to pay and provide food, clothes, or anything that our royal guests or you might need. Buy something nice also."

"I..." You swallowed nervously, "Thank you?"

"You're welcome," Smith nodded and turned to look at the Kitsunes standing there and looking at the two of you. "Now, let's get you guys settled, how does that sound? The house is already furnished, all you need are your belongings and maybe go out shopping together?"

"Hm, sounds good to me!" Kyojuro turned to look at his younger brother, Senjuro, "What do you say Senjuro? Would you like to go out with out lovely hostess?"

"Yes, but, uh..."

"Yes, what is it, young lord?" Mister Smith asked kindly.

"I would like to see my new room?" The young boy admitted shyly, "This house is so big and modern, I can't help but wonder how it looks from the inside."

"Please, step inside and get to know the place." Mister Smith said with a smile, "I'll make sure everything is handled properly."

"Hm, shall we go?" Kyojuro looked at his brother who nodded little and then at you with those amazing eyes of his. "Are you ready, my Hime?"

"Y- yes!" You flinched but he didn't say anything about it. He only smiled as the three of you walked past the fence and into the house.

The lobby was huge as you stepped inside and filled with moving boxes. Your boxes, you recognized them. You noticed that the foxes took their sandals off and you copied them, taking your shoes off and pushing them aside.

"My, how many boxes!" Kyojuro exclaimed as he looked around and you blushed, "I'm sorry, they are all mine."

"Do not worry for I don't mind!"

You still felt a little awful. You tried to switch the topic, "Let's look around the downstairs, how does that sound?"

"Good idea!"

So the three of you took in the house, the kitchen, and the huge living room you could see from the kitchen. You had always admired such a design since you liked the open space and the chance of being able to see what happened in the living room.

"This place is huge...!" Senjuro awed and you felt yourself smile as you looked at the awestruck look on the boy's face.

Then there was a toilet and bathroom, utility room, alongside some extra rooms, you thought were for storing or extra bedrooms if needed. The three of you made your way upstairs and looked around, stepping into a magnificent room with a balcony connected to it. The room was spacious but otherwise empty, save for a big bed and some basic furniture.

"Oh, wow...!" Young Senjuro gasped and you smiled as you glanced at him, "Would you like to have this room for yourself?"

"C- can I really have a room this big for myself?" He asked as he looked at you uncertainly and you smiled as you glanced at the older fox, "If it is okay with your brother?"

"Hm!" Kyojuro smiled widely, "Yes, this room is perfect for my little brother!"

"Oh, wow...!" Senjuro gasped as he looked around, running up to a huge bed with snow-white bedsheets, "Is this my bed?"

"If you want it to be?" You tilted your head in slight confusion, "What kind of beds did you have back in Japan?"

"We slept on a futon that was rolled out for the night and off for the day," Kyojuro replied and you nodded, feeling a little stupid. Of course, they came from a traditional Japanese home where futons were normal.

"If you want, you can decorate the room any way you want." You added and for the first time you saw Senjuro smile like a sun, "I would love that! Thank you so much!"

"No worries!" You smiled and you turned to look at the older brother, "Shall we keep looking?"

"Yes!" Kyojuro nodded and the two of you stepped outside, letting Senjuro explore his new room by himself. There was another toilet combined with a bathroom and two other rooms that you and the older fox turned to look at. The two rooms were almost identical, only the other one was directly next to Senjuro's room.

You were looking at the one furthest from the young fox's room and you hummed as you looked around.

"This is a nice room." You thought by yourself, but Kyojuro's fox ears twitched as he heard you murmur quietly.

"Then you should take this room!" The Kitsune shouted and you blinked as you turned to look at him, "Wait, don't you want it?"

"My bride's comfort is my number one priority!" Kyojuro smiled and you blushed at that as you averted your gaze from his bashfully, "Are you certain?"

"Yes! This way I can sleep next to my dear brother's room!" He nodded and you glanced at him, admiring his passion and how he cared for his brother.

"You're a good brother, lord Kyojuro." You smiled and he absolutely beamed in happiness, "Please! Call me Kyojuro! As my bride, you are equal to me!"

Again, with that bride thing! Your blush just grew stronger and you couldn't look at him directly.

"Big brother!" Came Senjuro's voice and you and Kyojuro turned around to see Senjuro run up to you two. "Can we go look around the city?"

"What a splendid idea Senjuro!" The older fox beamed happily as he turned to look at you. "What would my bride suggest we do first?"

"M- me?" You stuttered as you thought about what you guys would need. You took a look at the two foxes and an idea popped up. "Well, we could go and look for more comfortable clothes for you two? Also, I bet the fridge is empty so we could buy something to eat."

"Of course! Clothes and food sound like a good idea!" Kyojuro exclaimed happily, "Just as expected from my brilliant bride!"

"I do have a name." You hummed quietly and he nodded, "And what a beautiful name that is!"

This damn Kitsune didn't know what he was doing to you with his constant flattery, but you didn't sense any ill will. He was truly and genuinely kind to you. Something that you weren't used to. The least you could do was to return his kindness.

"Okay, let's head out. I'll let the moving men know where to put my boxes." You said and both foxes smiled as they followed you downstairs while you were letting the human men know where to put your things, the brothers put their sandals on and waited for you by the door.

"Ready, my bride?" Kyojuro asked as you joined them and slipped your shoes on. "Ready as one can be."

And with that, you left your past life and stepped into a new one.

It was rare when the Hashira all had dinner together but when they did it was usually at festivals or whenever Oyakata-sama had wanted. And the Hashira never denied a request from him. Hashira were welcome to bring companions, wives, husbands, and/or family to these gatherings so usually Tengen would bring his wives and Shinobu would bring her girls to enjoy the food that had been prepared for them. This time though, Kyoujurou, wanted to bring his wife, [name], who he had secretly married some weeks ago. They were enjoying their time as newly weds, but Kyoujurou had decided it was time to drop the bomb on them. He didn't want to do it out of shock factor per say, but he wanted everyone to know he was taken by a beautiful woman and to show her off as much as he could.

They walked hand in hand to the Butterfly Mansion where the dinner was being held. [Name] had felt like her heart was in her stomach and Kyoujurou had sensed this.

"It'll be okay, my darling. They will love you. I swear it." He murmured before kissing her on the cheek. She shyly smiled at him as she felt him squeeze her hand. She only nodded as they proceed down the path.

Everyone seemed to be in disarray at the mentioning of Kyoujurou having a wife and even more so that he hadn't told anyone as they spit out their drinks.

"Wife?!" Tengen exclaimed getting up from his seat as he wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve.

"Since when?!" Sanemi joined in on the hysteria.

"Ooo!! I wanna meet her!!" Mitsuri cheered getting giddy at the mentioning.

Giyuu could only sit there in bewilderment not even knowing how to react. Shinobu scoffed and then laughed. "That Rengoku. He is always pulling a fast one on us."

"How much do you wanna bet that she's pregnant?" Obanai inquired.

"I say 2000 yen." Oyakata-sama puts down the currency on the table.

Everyone grew silent at his sudden mischief. A small innocent smile on his face as he sat there with his hands on lap. Tengen cracked a huge grin.

"Ohohoho, I say 3000 yen." Tengen put down his money on top of Oyakata-sama's.

"Tengen!" His wives scold him to which Tengen only laughed.

"Hmm, I say 3000 she's not pregnant." Shinobu added to the pile. Muichiro ears perk up at Shinobu inserting herself.

He raised his hand. "I second that."

"Oh, yeah?" Tengen smirked at her questioningly. "Than I'll double it. 6000 yen."

"Oh, you are so on."

"Hey, I never agreed to that..." Muichiro voice seemed to lose momentum as Kyoujurou and [name] entered the room.

Gasps were heard from everyone. [Name] had looked so beautiful and ethereal that the Hashira had no idea how to react. They grew quiet as they watch as she gracefully entered the room and bowed at them.

"Hello, it is an honor to meet you all."

"Thank you for gracing us with your presence, [Name], Kyoujurou. Please sit and make yourselves comfortable.

Now, the Hashira were looking at Oyakata-sama with wide eyes.

"You knew?!" Tengen looked betrayed at he glared at the man in question. Oyakata-sama simply laughed at him.

"Yes, I'm sorry--" He chuckled covering his mouth with his hand. "I wish I could see the looks on your faces."

"Ah, Oyakata-sama..." Shinobu relaxed into a laugh and everyone followed suit.

"So, you're not pregnant?" Obanai interjected. Everyone scolded him as he sat their unbothered waiting on Kyoujurou and [name] to answer. [Name] became visibly uncomfortable, but Kyoujurou only laughed heartily out of embarrassment. His cheeks tinged a healthy pink as he wrapped his arms around her.

"No, not yet! We would plan that, of course! Sorry, for not telling you all until now. We wanted to tell you at the perfect time." Kyoujurou said cheerfully as he put a hand on [name's] lap.

Tengen's face relaxed as gently shook Kyoujurou's shoulder and pulled him into a hug. "Well, I'm very happy for you. You picked a real looker."

"I agree! You're very stunning [name]!" Mitsuri agreed smiling at [name]. She was secretly a little upset that Kyoujurou had kept it a secret from her, but her happiness for him overshadowed that. She just wanted to be happy for her friend.

"Yes, [name], you are very beautiful. Your kimono suits you very much. Red is definitely your color." Shinobu touched the small on her back and Tengen's wives audibly agree with her making [name] blush at their compliments.

"T-thank you. You all are too kind." [Name] waved them off as if trying to brush off her agitation. She wasn't so used to others giving her so much attention.

"That's one the reasons I married her." Kyoujurou mused, looking at her lovingly. She flustered under his gaze and giggled nervously.

"Congratulations, Renguko." Giyuu gave him a small smile.

"Are you smiling?!" Shinobu nearly shrieked at him and the Pillars were now oogling Giyuu's softened expression which automatically contorted into humiliation. Mitsuri cannot help but burst out into laughter and it made the silent room fill with mirth.

"Yes, congratulations, Rengoku." Sanemi got up and sat beside him as he bowed his head slightly in respect to him.

"Thank you, Sanemi! That means a great deal from you!" He laughed smacking his back rather hard causing Sanemi to jump at the sheer unintentional force Kyoujurou had just applied.

Tengen laughed as he smacked Kyoujurou on the back just as hard making him jolt.[Name] jumped at his actions and stared at the pair. "You're just full of surprises aren't you, Renguko!"

Kyoujurou shook off the shock and began to laugh with Tengen. "I guess I am!"

"Freaks..." Sanemi muttered under his breath.

"You're not wrong about that." Obanai agreed as he petted Kabamaru.

"We're all happy for you. Let's make a toast to the newly weds." Oyakata-sama raised his soju glass. Every one raised their glasses along with him. "Gokekkon omedetou gozaimasu!"* (congratulations for having just married*)

"Gokekkon omedetou gozaimasu!" The lot cheered in unison and then downed their glasses.

"Maybe you shouldn't drink too much, dear." [Name] puts a loving hand on top of his.

"Don't worry, my love. I can handle my liquor." He smiled and [Name] quirked an eyebrow at him.

"Oh? Well, then I'll take your word for that." She sipped at her water and then playfully narrowed her eyes at him. "For now."

Kyoujurou did not in fact handle his liquor. And Tengen and Giyuu spent thirty minutes just trying to handle the messy drunk as [Name] sighed and smiled at him as he kept squirming out of their grip.

Tengen face palmed as Kyoujurou laid limp in his arms.

"This is why we can't have nice things."

You gazed out the open door, watching the rain while you sip on your tea. The rain always made you feel slightly more depressed, but the loneliness is what really killed you. It had been a long time since things around you had been quiet. You hated it.

However, the sound of knocking on the door brought a joyous feeling to your heart. You hopped up from your seat, rushing to the door. Hoping- praying- for some miracle.

When you opened the door, you were awestruck to see a young boy standing there. His hair was a deep maroon that matched his eyes. An odd birthmark was at the corner of his forehead that caught your eye.

"Ah- pardon me. Are you Y/n L/n?" You blinked before smiling softly, not having heard that name in a long time.

"Yes, that is my maiden name. Might I ask who you are?" You questioned, tilting your head to the side curiously. The boy's cheeks flushed bright red as he quickly bowed his head.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am! My name is Tanjiro Kamado!"

"Ah- you the boy traveling with the demon!" You exclaimed before slapping a hand over your mouth. "Oh, dear, I shouldn't say things like that aloud. Please come in! It doesn't appear that the rain will stop soon."

Tanjiro raised his head, smiling warmly toward you. "Thank you, Ma'am. I truly appreciate it," He said as he stepped inside, taking off his shoes in the process.

You closed the door behind him, looking at the box on his back. "Is that your sister?" You questioned. Tanjiro nodded in response with a quick yes. You quickly looked around before you pulled the curtains and other doors closed. "There we go! You can let her out. I can't imagine our suffocating it can be in there."

Tanjiro carefully set down the box, making sure not to justle around Nezuko too much. "Nezuko? Are you awake? You can come out if you'd like." You watched in fascination as small knocks came from inside the box.

The door slowly opened. Then there was a hand. Then a head of hair. And finally, a small girl. Her bright pink eyes stared up at you in fascination. "Ah, hello there," You chimed. "Your name is Nezuko, correct? I'm Y/n. I've heard many things about you!"

Nezuko continued to just stare at you, not even blinking. "Ah, I'm sorry. She can't really talk," Tanjiro replied, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh, no! It's quite alright! You don't have to worry about it, honestly," You responded as you walked back toward the table you were sitting at. "Please come sit. I just made some fresh tea," You said, gesturing to the seat across from you.

Tanjiro was eager to take you up on your offer. You poured him a cup of tea, smiling when he took a big gulp. He immediately relaxed into his seat and let out a soft sigh.

You cleared your throat, gaining his attention. "Tanjiro... what brings you out here?" You questioned. The boy's smile fell as he set down his cup.

"I came to apologize." Your brows furrowed in confusion. "That night... on the train, I-"

"Please stop," You cut him off. He gazed up at you, your smile ever present. "What happened isn't your fault so, please, do not apologize... Kyojuro wouldn't appreciate it."

You blinked away the tears that were brimming your eyes and smiled. "He wouldn't want us to cry over him. He would want us to celebrate the life he lived and be proud of all of his accomplishments."

"Could you... Could you tell me about him?" His question caught you off guard. It had been a long time since you had told anyone any stories about the two of you.

"Alright. What would you like to know?" You asked, refilling your tea cups.

"Everything." A laugh erupted from your chest when you heard him.

"Very well. Let's see..."

You clung to the back of your Grandma's kimono, watching the father and son in front of you. It was terrifying how identical they were.

"Thank you for coming out here... I know it's the last moment, but it's important," The father said, bowing deeply. Your grandma smiled softly, shaking her head.

"It's alright. I hope you're alright with me bringing my grandchild along. Y/n, introduce yourself." You stepped around in front of your grandma, fidgeting with your fingers.

"Hello, I'm L/n Y/n. It's nice to meet you," You said, quickly bowing your head.

"It's nice to meet you as well. I'm Kyojuro Shinjuro. This is my son, Kyojuro." He placed a hand on Kyojuro's shoulder, gently pushing his son forward.

You raised your head, making eye contact with Kyojuro. "It's nice to meet you!" KYojuro exclaimed, making you jump slightly. You could hear your Grandma and Shinjuro laughing which caused your cheeks to flush a bright pink.

"Let's leave these two to get acquainted. Shall we get going?" Your grandma said, drawing Shinjuro's attention.

"Yes, please, this way," Shinjuro said, leading her inside. You stood there and shifted your gaze down to your feet. You could feel Kyojuro's gaze on you, but you were too nervous to say anything.

"Can your Grandma really help my mom?" You blinked. Kyojuro's words drew your eyes up to him.

"O-of course!" Your voice cracked under the pressure. You swallowed the lump in your throat and took a deep breath. "Grandma is the best doctor I know," You boasted. It was true, but she was also the only doctor you knew.

Kyojuro huffed. He was tired of hearing the same words over and over. "That's what they all say." Your cheeks started to flush in anger. How dare he doubt your Grandma!

"Grandma is the best doctor! She always takes care of me when I'm sick and I'm healthy!"

"If you were healthy, why would you get sick?"

"Because people get sick, then they get better. It helps their systems."

Kyojuro tilted his head in confusion. "What systems?" You blinked.

"Um... The um, the systems in our bodies," You muttered, confused yourself. Grandma had explained before, but you weren't really listening. "Our bodies are made of different systems and stuff."

"Pardon my interruption." You looked back at Tanjiro as he cut you off. "It sounds like you two didn't get along at first." You couldn't help but laugh at his words.

"Yes, that's correct." Tanjiro blinked. He was trying to wrap his head around what you had said. Weren't you two... "But," You continued. "He was very worried about his mom and I was trying to stand up for my grandmother." Tanjiro nodded as he put together the pieces.

"Alright... Please continue."

"How do these systems work?" You thought for a moment. You wished that you could remember what they were and how they did work. Grandma said that there were a lot of different systems that did a bunch of different things.

"I... don't really know," You admitted, looking down at your feet. Your cheeks flushed in embarrassment when you heard him start to laugh.

"Sorry, sorry! It's just funny that you are saying all of these things and you don't even know!" You huffed and stomped your foot.

"Oh yeah?! Well, at least I know about the systems!" You exclaimed as you crossed your arms. Kyojuro narrowed his eyes as his competitive side started to nag at him.

"My dad is the Flame Hashira. He's way more important than a doctor!"

"What?!" Your voice cracked as you glared at him. "My grandma takes care of all of the injured demon slayers! How do you think your dad and my grandma met?"

Kyojuro took a step closer to you, his golden-red eyes boring into you causing you to shrink back a bit.

"Make sure that she takes her medicine every day. One in the morning and once in the evening." The two of you jumped apart when you heard your grandma's voice.

"Thank you again. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to pay you back," Shinjuro said as he bowed his head. Your grandma chuckled softly and held up a hand to stop him.

"It's alright, dear. Just make sure that she gets her medicine taken," She said before turning toward you. "Y/n, let's get going. We have people at home to care for."

You nodded, running up to her. "I can help with dinner. Oh, and can I borrow your books? I want to show Rengoku-Kun the body systems!" Your grandma blinked, a smile slowly rising on her lips.

"Of course. We can bring them with us the next time we come back." You smiled brightly before looking at Kyojuro.

"I'll prove it to you next time." Kyojuro returned your smile.

"I'll be waiting!"

Shinjuro couldn't help but smile softly. How adorable. "Come alone, Kyojuro. Your mother wants to see you." Kyojuro stiffed up slightly.

"Yes, father!" He exclaimed before he quickly followed his father inside. "Bye L/n-chan!" You looked at him over your shoulder as you and your grandma start to leave.

"Bye! I'll see you next time!"

"And that was our first interaction. Eight years old and having no problems in life," You said, glancing down at your tea which has long gone cold.

Tanjiro thought for a moment, attempting to wrap his head around what was happening. "So you're... childhood um... Ch-childhood lovers?" His voice cracked when he said the words. At the same time, your face flushed a bright red.

"I guess you could say that," You muttered before you smiled softly. "Anywho, it's getting rather late. Why don't you two stay here for the night."

Tanjiro returned your smile before he bowed to you. "Thank you. We greatly appreciate it."

"No no, it's nothing. Come along, I'll show you to the spare room." You both rose from the table before you lead him down the hall to the spare room. It felt odd to have someone in the house. It had just been you for a while that you didn't know how to feel.

You left Tanjiro and Nezuko to get comfortable in their room as you went back to your own. You stared at the futon on your floor. It was large enough for two people and you despised you. You couldn't seem to get warm enough without your personal heater.

You took a shaky breath as you changed and climbed into the futon. You buried your face in the other pillow, a fading scent still detectible. "I miss you, Kyo... The boy you talked about came by today. You were right... He's oddly kind. I met his sister as well. She's a sweet little girl, I think you would have liked to get to know the two of them better."

You fell asleep in the cold room, yet it felt as if a warm presence was there with you.

(Y/N) Ubuyashiki was known to be a little, gentle and kind bundle of sunshine. His bright personality could make anyone forget all the gruesome parts of the world at least for a little while, giving them an opportunity to rest and lower their guard.

That's why everyone was so fond of him, especially the hashira and his father Kagaya. (Y/N) would often play around the whole place, wether it'd be at his father's side or wherever one of the hashira's were training, eating or meditating. The boy truly loved every single one of them. They made him feel safe and secure.

So, one day, he decided to let them know in a special way.

"Mister Giyuu?", (Y/N) walked up to the water hashira with his hands behind his back and a small smile on his face. In response, Giyuu turned his head to the little boy, greeting him with a little bow out of respect, "What can I do for you?" The black-haired watched the other sit down next to him, hands still behind his back, "I have something for you!", he replied in a cheery voice, shifting back and forth in his seat in excitement.

The hashira's eyes widened ever so slightly, simply returning the gaze of the boy, waiting for him to continue in interest. (Y/N)'s smile grew only further as he reached out for one of Giyuu's hands, "As a thank you for always playing with me and a sign of our friendship-", he moved his other hand from behind his back and placed his fist in Giyuu's hand, "I made this friendship bracelet for you, mister Giyuu!"

At this point, Giyuu was practically frozen from the shock, watching with wide eyes and an open mouth how (Y/N) opened his fist and revealed a small bracelet. The boy moved his hands away and waited for the other's reaction. Which honestly took a bit of time.

The water hashira just stared at the bracelet in his palm, taking in every detail of it. The beads were in different blue hues with a few white ones in the mix. He could also make out some little waves on some of them.

Replaying the (Y/HC)-haired's words in his head, Giyuu couldn't help but to feel a certain warmth rise inside of him. //"A sign of our friendship", huh...//, he was expecting anything but that after hearing all the negative things the other hashira apparently thought of him.

He truly appreciated this act.

As the black-haired shifted his gaze to the boy sitting next to him, he couldn't stop the tug on the corners of his mouth, presenting a rare smile on his usual expressionless face. This sight made the boy's heart flutter and his eyes sparkle in excitement, "What do you think??", he leaned foward a bit, slowly growing rather impatient of Giyuu's answer.

"It's pretty.", was all Giyuu could muster to say though, moving his hands to put on the bracelet which he used as an excuse to avert his gaze again. The man was beyond happy, but he didn't know how to put his thoughts into words. Especially considering how he wasn't even aware (Y/N) thought of him as a friend up until that moment.

(Y/N) let out a cute giggle, "Thank you! Look!", the boy fished out another bracelet out of his pocket, one that looked the same as the one he gifted Giyuu. He quickly put it on and held it up infront of the black-haired. "Now everyone can see we're friends!"

And that's where Giyuu almost fainted. He really had to swallow down any major reaction because he was afraid he'd end up crying out of happiness.

The hashira held his wrist with the bracelet up as well, giving the boy a nod, "Yes...Thank you very much."

"Papa!", the young boy shouted, running towards his father who was sitting on a porch, simply gazing foward and relaxing in the midday sun. Hearing the rushing little footsteps to addition to the shout, Kagaya let out a chuckle, "Careful now.", he rose a hand, reaching out for the one of his son.

(Y/N) smiled widely, placing his small hand into his father's after coming to a halt. He slowly climbed into the black-haired's lap. "Say, what got you so excited today, my child?"

The boy leaned back against his father's chest as he played with the hand he was holding, "I made something special for you!", he exclaimed, kicking his feet in a cheery matter. Kagaya's usual smile softened even further, "Oh, how sweet of you. What is it?"

Grinning to himself he placed the bracelet in Kagaya's open palm, "This friendship bracelet! As a sign of our friendship that will never end!"

The black-haired let out another chuckle, smiling to himself as he twisted and turned the bracelet between and around his fingers. He quickly noticed different textures on the beads. He gave his son a kiss to the head and hugged him with his free hand, "The beads are textured...You're so considerate, my child, thank you."

He felt so happy about the fact his son took into consideration that he was blind and thus couldn't enjoy the sight of colors and patterns. (Y/N) giggled happily, assisting his father to put on the bracelet. Even though he didn't need the help, Kagaya let him.

"I made one that looks the same as yours for me too!", the boy guided his father's hand to his wrist so he could feel it. "Oh, how wonderful.", Kagaya paused to admire the textures yet again, "You are such a blessing, (Y/N)."

"Hm.", during his break from training, Kyojuro suddenly felt like he wasn't alone anymore. As if someone was watching him. This, however, didn't alert him since he knew exactly who it was, but he didn't want to spoil the fun of this little game.

Just behind a corner, not too far from where the hashira stood, hid (Y/N), quietly giggling to himself. Kyojuro pretended to look around, avoiding the boy's direction on purpose, "Hmmm...Was it just my imagination?"

Slowly and with a wide grin on his face, (Y/N) sneaked up to Kyojuro. "Mister Kyujuro!", he shouted, jumping onto the blond's back once he was close enough. "Aaaaah! Hahahahaha!"

The two of them laughed together while Kyujuro got the boy off of his back. "You got me!", he exclaimed and patted (Y/N)'s head, "You're getting better at this with every attempt!" (Y/N) giggled cutely, clinging onto Kyujuro's haori, "I made something for you, mister Kyujuro!"

"Ah!", the blonde slowly knelt down to the boy's level, "How wonderful! I wonder what it could be!", he patiently waited for (Y/N) to continue. (Y/N) tugged on Kyojuro's haori, "You have to close your eyes. And no peeking!" "If that's all.", the older one did as he was told, closing his eyes, still wearing that same smile on his face.

Right after getting the okay, Kyojuro opened his eyes again and looked down at his wrist. "Oh! How beautiful! Some of the beads are fire-shaped!" Nodding wildly out of excitement, the boy looked up at the other, "It's a sign of our friendship! See?", he revealed a bracelet identical to Kyojuro's from under his sleeve, "Now everyone can see what great friends we are!"

You could feel it, no see it, how people were staring at the three of you as you walked through the shopping mall. It had taken a moment to get there by foot, but you made it there. You tried to ignore their stares and focus on the Rengoku brothers, or rather your fiance and his lovely and shy little brother. They were so different, yet similar.

"So many humans!" Kyojuro thought out loud as he looked around, "And demihumans also! I'm happy to see everyone living together in peace!"

"As best as we can, yes." You nodded as you looked at the stores, wondering where you should head first. These foxes needed some modern clothes. That's when you noticed a clothing store, meant to men and you smiled as you pointed at the store, "Would you like to visit this place first?"

Kyojuro and Senjuro looked at the store and they both nodded as the older brother smiled, "Yes, let's!"

So the three of you went inside and you started to pick clothes for Kyojuro first, making sure to try and estimate what his size was, but his kimono covered his body well.

"Let's pick different sizes for you to try on in the dressing room." You said as you picked a couple of different sizes of the same shirt. "Which color do you like more Kyojuro?"

"Hm, I like them all, but if possible, may I make a request?" The fox asked and you nodded, "Of course!" What is it?"

He smiled as he leaned forward and whispered to you, "We are wearing rather traditional underwear so might I suggest we pick up something more modern?"

Hearing this, you blushed, barely able to look at Kyojuro as you nodded furiously. How could he smile like that when talking about underwear!?

"Yeah, yes, sure!" You nodded and turned to head toward the underwear section. Both Rengoku brothers were awed when they saw modern men's underwear. "These look very comfortable!"

"They should be…" You muttered shyly, "Pick anything you want."

Sadly, there were no sizes for Senjuro, but you promised him that you would visit a clothing store that had clothing for his size. Meanwhile, you picked shirts and a couple of pants here and there before giving them to Kyojuro and asking him to go into the changing room.

"We wait right here with Senjuro so you can come out and show how the clothes look on you." You said and the older fox nodded happily as he took the clothes and closed the changing room's door behind him. While he was there, you and Senjuro sat on the chairs next to the small room.

The silence between you felt awkward, but when you glanced at the younger fox from the corner of your eyes he didn't seem bothered at all. No, he was looking at everything around him in such awe, it was honestly cute. You smiled, "What kind of clothes do you like Senjuro?"

"M- me?" The young boy stuttered as he looked at you and then blushed, "I- I don't know for sure. All the clothes there look so grown up and cool."

"I'm sorry for taking you here first." You apologized, "When your brother is done we can go and search for something for you to wear."

"Oh, I don't mind waiting." He smiled bashfully, "As long as big brother and you are happy then I'm happy also."

Oh God, he was so adorable, you could almost squeal. You smiled at him, "You're a very kind young man Senjuro, did you know that?"

"So are you, big sis." He said right back at you, "Many would be shocked by hearing about sudden engagement and to a yokai of all creatures, but you have been really nice to me and my brother."

"Aww, you're so sweet!" Okay, you couldn't help yourself, you squealed maybe just a little bit. Senjuro was honestly so kind and cute. You wanted to let him know it, but suddenly he looked up and you followed his gaze and you felt your breath get stuck in your throat.

Kyojuro was wearing dark slacks and a white dress shirt you had picked for him. Honestly? He was so handsome, you felt your brain short circuit, but you recovered quickly.

"Kyojuro!" You smiled as you got up and looked at him, "How do the clothes feel?"

"They are nice, but my tails don't have much room." He replied and you nodded as you walked up to him and looked him all over and around, seeing that the pants weren't exactly made for his tails.

"We have to make some changes so your tails can fit comfortably, but that shouldn't be hard." You noted, "Maybe cut a hole at the tails' base and then put a button above them?"

"Yes, that would be marvelous!" Kyojuro exclaimed, "Do you know how to do that?"

"I aced home economics so it shouldn't be hard." You nodded and then you looked at him in those gorgeous eyes of his, "How do you feel otherwise?"

"Good! How do you like them?" He asked back and you blinked as you looked at him over again and smiled a little shyly, "I think you look really good in them."

"Then I'm happy!"

"Why?" You blinked before smiling, "Do you like how you look?"

"Yes, because my bride dressed me as she sees handsome!" Kyojuro said and you could feel the blood burn your cheeks below the skin as you blushed furiously. How can he be so open about everything he feels?

"Okay, pants are good, try some shirts on just in case, and then we can head to register to pay." You grumbled as you averted your gaze from him and his bright smile.

"As my bride wishes!" He exclaimed happily before going back to changing room to try on the clothes you had picked for him. You took a seat next to Senjuro and glanced at him, only to see him smiling at you. You blushed a little, "W- what is it?"

"Nothing, I'm just happy to see you two get along so well already," Senjuro replied honestly, and your blush just got worse.

It took a moment but soon enough all three of you were ready to head to the next store where you picked clothes for Senjuro. He had been so shy when he first stepped out of the changing room, wearing a black hoodie and shorts, but you and Kyojuro were admiring how handsome he looked in his new clothes.

Just like his older brother's, Senjuro's pants needed to be altered to make him feel comfortable with his tail. Otherwise, you picked some hoodies for him, a couple of dress shirts also, some T-shirts, pants, shorts, and some underwear as well. While you were there, you picked some basic shoes for the two of them, and by the time you were done with clothes shopping, you had 14 bags full of their clothes.

"Oh my God, we bought so much stuff…!" You gasped as you looked at all the clothing bags you had. You silently thanked mister Smith for providing you with a debit card to pay for all the stuff you had bought… But you still needed to buy some food also and it was starting to get dark outside.

"We can carry our things so you don't need to, my Hime!" Kyojuro said as he glanced at his little brother, "Right, Senjuro?"

"Yes, brother." The younger fox nodded with a small smile. You smiled, but you would still need to buy so many things. These two came here without anything personal, not even clothes, you thought they would deserve some nice thing also, besides clothes.

Well, that had to wait because you could feel your stomach grumbling and you were pretty sure that these two Kitsune's stomachs weren't any fuller than yours. What an awful hostess you were, having your new housemates go hungry. You had to come up with something fast.

Suddenly, Senjuro sniffed the air and looked at his older brother, "I smell something brother."

"Me too." Kyojuro nodded and you blinked, sniffing the air. Burgers, you could smell fresh burgers being cooked on fire. That is when you remembered the burger place just a couple of floors down from where you were.

"Are you hungry?" You asked even if you were pretty sure they were. Both brothers nodded and you smiled, "Have you ever had a hamburger before?"

"What's a hamburger?" They both asked as they tilted their heads in curiosity. You had to look away, they were being so cute.

"Come with me and we will get some to eat." You told them and the brothers smiled as they heard food being mentioned. With all the bags you had, you took an elevator down and the scent of food got stronger the closer you got to your destination. By the time you were by the burger place, you could hear the brothers' stomachs growling and see the small trail of drool from the corner of their mouths.

"Do you have any allergies or something I should worry about?" You asked and the brothers shook their heads. You smiled, "Good. Follow me."

You made the brothers sit on the table before you walked up to the register and ordered three double cheeseburger meals with fries and Cola. As you carried the tray filled with food, you could see the fox brothers' ears shoot upwards. You chuckled as you put the tray down on the table and watched the foxes' gorgeous eyes widen.

"Please dig in." You said as you sat opposite them and watched how they eagerly ripped the paper covering the burgers and bit into them. You watched them chew and you reached for your burger when all of sudden-!

"TASTY!" Kyojuro shouted all of a sudden, startling you so badly that you nearly dropped your own burger. You whipped your head to look at him but his attention was purely on the hamburger in his hands. You blinked, confused. What just happened?

"TASTY!" He shouted again before taking another mouthful of the burger. Okay, now you were confused. You turned to look at Senjuro who was happily munching his own burger, as if his big brother hadn't just shouted from the bottom of his lungs.

"TASTY!" There he went, shouting again.

"Is- is it really that good?" You asked and Kyojuro smiled at you happily, "Yes! It's very delicious!"

Really, huh? Well, if he said so. You took a bite of your burger and hummed a little. But no matter what, it was just a normal cheeseburger. Delicious, but nothing extraordinary.

"TASTY!"

Again? You were about to ask again, but Senjuro suddenly caught your attention.

"What is this drink here?" He asked as he looked at the cup filled with Cola. You realized that they had never probably tasted Cola or any sort of soda before.

"It's soda. It's like a sweet bubbly drink." You nodded, "Try some."

Senjuro nodded as he bought the straw to his lips and sipped. You could see the moment when soda hit his tongue, as his pretty golden eyes widened and he pulled back with a smile, "It tickles my tongue! Try some brother!"

Kyojuro nodded as he put his almost-eaten burger down and took a sip of his own Cola.

"You're right, it tingles!" He laughed and you couldn't help but smile, feeling this happiness coming from inside when thinking how much you could show the modern world to these two. Or so you thought when the older Kitsune reached for a fry and ate it.

"TASTY!"

"H- hold on!" You cried out as you looked at him, "Are you going to shout tasty after each bite?"

"Hm!" He nodded, mouth full.

"Big brother loves good food," Senjuro said and you blinked.

"But doesn't it-?" You were about to ask if it didn't bother other people, but as you looked around, it appeared that they didn't even pay attention to you three. Weird?

"I hope you don't mind, but I put a small spell on us so no one is bothered by brother's yelling." Senjuro said carefully and as confused as you were, you smiled, "That is amazing Senjuro! You're amazing!"

The younger fox blinked as your words settled and he blushed as a cute smile rose to his lips. "T- thank you."

The three of you ate and you soon got used to hearing Kyojuro shout tasty with every bite he took. It didn't take long for all the food to be gone.

"So full." You sighed as you finished your last fry. The fox brothers were all smiles and you noticed that there was a smudge of ketchup on the corner of the Kyojuro's lips.

"You got something here." You said as you pointed at your own face and the older fox blinked as he tried to wipe the red smudge off, but he didn't quite get it.

"Here, just a second," You grabbed a tissue and carefully wiped the ketchup off his face. The man absolutely beamed, "Thank you!"

You're welcome. I take it you enjoyed the meal?" You asked and Kyojuro smiled right back at you, "These were delicious!"

"I'm happy to hear that." You smiled and he nodded, but then he looked at the now empty tray and you couldn't help but to notice that his smile didn't quite reach his pretty eyes, "Shame there isn't anymore."

"Oh, are you still hungry?" You asked and he turned to look at you, "I wouldn't mind another one."

"Then we can order some more if you would like?" You suggested and Kyojuro's earlier happier smile returned, "Can I get 10 more?"

"Wait, what?" You blinked.

What followed next, you could barely believe if you hadn't seen it with your own two eyes. Kyojuro wasn't kidding when he requested 10 more hamburgers. He ate them eagerly, occasionally taking a small sip of his Cola before continuing to eat.

For a fox, he sure ate like a horse.

You glanced at Senjuro who nibbled on some fries, occasionally dipping one in ketchup before eating it. He seemed to sense you looking at him and turned to look at you, "Is everything alright big sis?"

"No, nothing is wrong." You shook your head, but you did take a glance of soon to be an empty tray of burgers, "Your brother has a good appetite."

"Big brother loves good food," Senjuro repeat what he had said earlier. You nodded, choosing to accept this and feeling happy that mister Smith had agreed to pay for everything because even if you would find a job, you doubted you would have been able to pay for all this food.

After finishing eating, the three of you made your way back to your new home. Once you stepped inside, you immediately noticed that your moving boxes weren't in the lobby anymore. The moving men must have carried them to your room as you requested.

You and the fox brothers took off your shoes and you immediately noticed that Senjuro was yawning. Poor boy must have been so tired after the long day of shopping you had done.

"Would you like to head to bed Senjuro?" You asked and the young boy looked at you tiredly, "If that is alright with you then may I?"

"Of course it is!" You smiled as you nodded, "You can sleep this night in your underwear. Many human males do that."

"Should I use my new underwear?"

"Tomorrow, I'll just cut a hole for your tail and wash them." That is when you realized that you hadn't bought simple things such as toothbrushes, but maybe it wouldn't kill you if you skipped one day.

"You should also head to bed Kyojuro." You said as you glanced at the older fox who nodded, "Hm! I will, but what about you?"

"I'll head to bed soon enough. I'll just have to do a couple of things first." You replied, but the Kitsune looked at you thoughtfully.

"Promise me?" He asked and you nodded, "I promise."

"Very well then!" Kyojuro smiled again as he looked at his little brother and then at you, "I wish you both good night!"

"Good night brother," Senjuro nodded with a small smile and you smiled, "Sleep tight."

And just like that, the two of them made their way to their own rooms and you followed behind them, going to your room, but instead of going to sleep, you started opening your moving boxes, trying to find something specific.

"Gotcha!" You smiled as you found your little sewing kit amongst the stuff you had. With that item of yours, you made your way back downstairs, making sure to be extra quiet so you wouldn't disturb the Rengoku brothers. You picked up the clothing bags you had left at the entrance of the house and carried them to the living room.

You made yourself comfortable on the couch and grabbed some of the brothers' boxers and carefully cut a hole in them for their tails. They didn't require a button because they were stretchy, unlike their brand new pants. Those needed a button so they could be closed above the tail's base and therefore stop them from falling down.

Why you were there in the living room at 11pm fixing your new housemates' pants? Were you some kind of a weirdo? Possibly, but after the day you had, you were too energetic to sleep yet. Besides, staying at the manga cafe seriously messed up most of your sleeping schedules. You would return to normal schedule but it would take a moment.

"I thought you said that you were going to do only a couple of things?"

You nearly screamed, startled by the sudden voice behind you. You looked over your shoulder and saw Kyojuro standing there-!

Holy crap, he was muscular! Like, he could pose in the middle of a classroom full of art students and even they would get distracted by his body.

But what was the deal with such skimpy white underwear!? It barely left anything to your imagination, but you were a fine lady, not a perv and you forced your eyes up to look at his eyes and try to forget his underwear.

"W- what are you wearing?"

Nice job you, talk about his underwear right off the bat. Kyojuro blinked but his smile went nowhere, "They are called Fundoshi!"

"Shh…!" You quickly brought a finger to your lips, "Senjuro is sleeping."

"Ah, pardon me!" He replied, much quieter now. "What are you doing?"

"I knew I couldn't sleep so I decided to start tomorrow's work early today." You replied as you turned to look at the pants in your hands instead of Kyojiro on his underwear.

"Did you try?" He asked and you felt a little bad for shaking your head, "I've been sleeping badly for the last month or so. I'll get my usual schedule back in a few days."

"I see." You heard him say, his voice coming closer, "May I spend time with you then?"

"Oh, you don't need to," You shook your head, "I also need to visit a convenience store. Get some ingredients for breakfast."

"At this time?" Kyojuro blinked, "You have stores open at night?"

"Some stores." You nodded as you put the pants down, thinking that if you left now for the store, Kyojuro would let you be and go back to sleep. "I won't be long, I'll return in-!"

"May I come with you?" He suddenly asked.

"Oh, you don't need to-!" You turned around, ready to let him down carefully and make him go back to sleep but the moment you turned to look at him properly he was standing directly behind you.

"I insist. Who knows what kind of people are out there." He said, and you noticed that his smile was a little tight. You frowned, not really wanting to bother him, but you had a feeling that he wouldn't let you go by yourself no matter what you would say.

"Okay, but put on some clothes we bought." You gave up, reaching for one pair of pants you had already fixed and a red hoodie that you grabbed and threw to him over the couch.

"Yes, my Hime!" He nodded enthusiastically as he slipped the pants and hoodie on while you put your sewing kit down and got up to put the shoes on. It was a warm night so you wouldn't need a jacket.

It took no time for Kyojuro to come and join you. As soon as he got his sandals on he absolutely beamed at you, and you hated to admit it, but his smile was extremely contagious!

Both of you, you and Kyojuro started to really date each other after that day in the park where you shared kisses. Now the two of you were closer than ever before and Senjuro noticed it also.

The young Kitsune was so happy for the two of you because he cared for both his big brother and you, his big brother's fiance and his friend, or big sis as he liked to call you.

Now that you were really dating, the two of you were also more affectionate toward each other. You would both share a quick kiss when Kyojuro would come downstairs to eat breakfast you, Senjuro or you both have made together and another kiss after breakfast.

You would kiss each time when he left to jog and share another kiss each time when he came back and then kisses here and then through the day until it came time to go to sleep and the cycle would repeat the next day.

Oh, and speaking of jogging! You started to jog with Kyojuro! Not as often as he does, but enough to boost your stamina and strengthen your body. Also, you would get a lot of kisses as a reward when you stopped at the park to exercise.

But it had been a couple of weeks now, Summer was over and you started to get a little frustrated by the lack of excitement. So you started to plan a new date for you and Kyojuro, but you wanted to include Senjuro also because you cared about him like he was your little brother.

You were sitting on the living room couch with your laptop and you were going through different places where you could take the brothers to enjoy time with you. Bowling? Sounded fun, but you would have to take a taxi there. Fishing? Heck, you couldn't even take a hook out of a fish's mouth. Movies? Another great idea, but you could host your own movie night together in your house.

That's when you remembered a commercial about the new botanical garden that was opened a week or so ago. It was almost perfect, you could go and admire flowers, take pictures and then maybe get something to eat.

You put your computer down and headed to upstairs where the Fox brothers probably were. You knocked first on Senjuro's door and when you heard him call you in, you opened the door and stepped inside.

Senjuro was lying on his bed, reading a tetralogy manga about people hunting monsters that you had borrowed for him. As soon as you stepped inside the young Kitsune put the book down and looked at you, "What is it, big sis?"

"I was thinking that we could go out again. A botanical garden opened a little while ago and I was wondering if you and Kyojuro would like to visit the place?"

"That sounds like fun!" Senjuro smiled, "But shouldn't you and big brother go alone?"

"Don't you want to come?" You asked and he shook his head, "I would love to, but I think the two of you need to go out alone."

"But-!"

"You and big brother are supposed to get married. I'm happy that the two of you are officially a couple now, but you need to spend time together without me."

"Senjuro, you can come with us." You smiled as you leaned against the wall, "Me and Kyojuro love you and would love to have you come along with us."

"I know you do." The young fox smiled, "But I think the two of you need to spend time alone, other than going out jogging and exercising. Do something you both can call fun."

"I-" You were about to say, but Senjuro shook his head as he smiled, "I'll be fine."

You looked at him until you nodded, "Okay if you are sure. I'll ask Kyojuro just in case, but it's in the end up to you."

"Thank you." The boy nodded and you left his room. You went to knock on your partner's door, but there was no answer. You tried knocking again and calling his name, but nothing.

You yelped as you turned around and saw your fiance standing behind you.

"Kyojuro!" You held your chest, "You almost gave me a heart attack!"

"My apologies!" He smiled, "I just saw you by my door and thought you had something you wanted to talk about!"

"I would love that!" Kyojuro exclaimed happily and quickly leaned down to peck you on the lips. You smiled, reaching up to peck him back.

You had checked the day before the route to the garden with your computer, so with a little aid from your phone's GPS, you and Kyojuro arrived at your destination without getting lost even once.

The building was even more impressive than it was in the photos you had seen on the internet. The huge glass ceiling provided the place with sun and warmth, something plants loved so dearly. You were honestly so excited and Kyojuro smiled as he watched you admire the building.

Once the two of you had paid for your entries to the garden, you stepped into the building and you could both see and smell all the amazing flowers that bloomed in the building.

"This place is gorgeous…!" You awed as you looked around and Kyojuro nodded, "Hm! So many beautiful flowers!"

"Shall we explore?" You asked with a grin and offered your hand to your fiance, who smiled and happily took it. The two of you walked around the garden, exploring and taking pictures with your phones about whatever you found interesting or beautiful.

You were a little confused why there weren't many visitors besides you and Kyojuro, but you thought it might have been because Summer vacation was over, schools had started and people had returned back to work.

As the two of you explored, you suddenly heard someone singing. It was a beautiful voice and so tempting. You and Kyojuro glanced at each other in mild confusion.

"Can you also hear that?" You asked and the Kitsune nodded, "Yes! Shall we go investigate?"

You nodded and the two of you ventured deeper into the garden, following the mysterious yet beautiful singing. It didn't take you long until you made it to the small flower meadow and your eyes landed on maybe one of the prettiest creatures you had ever seen before.

A slime girl. A pink slime with light green tips. She was a gorgeous sight, singing in the middle of the flowers and looking so happy. Suddenly, as if sensing the two of you, she turned around and gasped when she saw you and Kyojuro.

"Oh, hello there!" She said cheerfully as she got up and turned to look at you properly-! Holy shit, she had a huge chest that was barely covered by this dark mackintosh she was wearing. You briefly remembered what you had read about slimes and how they couldn't wear proper clothes because they would go through them or slip off.

Either way, the slime girl excitedly ran over you guys and hugged you eagerly and you blinked in shock as her soft body hugged yours. She was so soft, and she smelled so sweet, like flowers or candy. You honestly felt like you didn't want the hug to ever stop, but she finally pulled back and hugged Kyojuro also.

Once she was done hugging you guys, she stepped away and smiled, "My name is Mitsuri! I'm a slime!"

"Hello?" You greeted her and Kyojuro nodded, "Greetings!"

"Are you here to enjoy flowers also?" She asked and you and your fiance nodded, making her smile wider, "I'm so happy! I love flowers! Do you like flowers too?"

"I do," You and Kyojuro nodded, "As do I!"

"That makes me so happy!" The slime cheered happily.

"Mitsuri?" Someone called the slime girl's name, "Mitsuri, are you here?"

"Here!" The slime called and you and Kyojuro looked up and saw another demihuman join you guys. But she wasn't a slime, no, she was half human and half plant. At first, you thought she was a Dryad, but on closer inspection, you realized that she was actually a subspecies of Dryad called Alraune.

"My, hello there!" The Alraune smiled at the sight of you two and you nodded back at her, "Hello."

"You must be visitors! How nice it is to see people come here to see flowers." She smiled, "My, where are my manners? My name is Kanae. I'm a gardener here but I also teach flower arrangement in my free time."

"Greetings," You and Kyojuro introduced yourselves to the Alraune and she smiled sweetly, "It's a pleasure meeting you two. I see you already met Mitsuri here."

Hearing her name being mentioned, Mitsuri cheered and happily hugged Kanae. The woman smiled gently, "Mitsuri here is a rare slime subspecies. She enjoys sweet things such as flower nectar, sugar water, honey, and other things like that."

"I see! I've read that slime's personality is based on what they digest." You said as you glanced at the sweet pink slime who smiled happily at you. You smiled back and glanced at Kanae, "Does her personality change if she enjoys something else than sweet things?"

"You see, that is normal with regular slimes, but Mitsuri is special. I can't explain it but the best description would probably be that she is full of love." The Alraune explained and you and Kyojuro nodded. You kinda understood what she was trying to tell. You glanced at Kyojuro from the corner of your eye and blushed softly as you saw his handsome face.

"Not only does she enjoy sweet things, but she also loves sweet people." Kanae smiled, "But you're the sweetest, aren't you Mitsuri?"

"Yes!" The pink slime cheered as she hugged Kanae more and then the Alraune looked at you and Kyojuro.

"But my, I didn't expect to see a Kitsune here!" She giggled happily. "May I say, we are honored to have you visit our garden."

"The pleasure is all ours!" Kyojuro and you nodded and the other demihuman smiled, "Since you're here, would you like to visit our butterfly garden?"

"Butterfly garden?" Kyojuro tilted his head in confusion, but that smile never disappeared from his face. Kanae smiled, "Yes, it's an area where all kinds of beautiful and rare butterflies live."

"You have one here?" You asked in confusion, "There wasn't anything about it on the internet?"

"Oh yes! It's not open to the public yet, but I think I can allow you two lovebirds to visit it."

"W- wha-?" You blushed, "How could you tell?"

"I'm just observant." Kanae giggled as Mitsuri let go of her and the two of them lead you and your fiance through the garden to a brand-new entrance. Once you entered it was like you had stepped into a whole new world.

Butterflies everywhere, small and big, plain and gorgeous, and so many that you had never seen before. You were in total awe that you nearly missed a huge butterfly coming right at you-!

"Sister dear, who are these people?"

You yelped, startled by the new sound, and turned to see a petite woman with the biggest and most beautiful white and pink butterfly wings coming from her back.

Kanae giggled as the butterfly girl landed next to her, "This here is my little sister Shinobu. As you can see, she is a Papillion."

"Greetings." The Papillion smiled at you and Kyojuro, "Who are you if I may ask and what are you doing here?"

"They are my quests, Shinobu." The Alraune said as he introduced you and Kyojuro to her little sister. You were a little confused by how they were exactly sisters while being different demihumans, but you didn't want to pry and appear rude. Instead, you smiled, "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Likewise," Shinobu smiled, what a pretty smile she had, and her older sister giggled, "These two are together actually!"

You and Kyojuro both knew Kanae was talking about the two of you, but you didn't expect Shinobu to grin knowingly, "Oh, so you are engaged?"

"Wha-!?" You stuttered in shock, "How can you guys tell?!"

"You both have this loving air around you." The Papillion said and the Alraune smiled, "You know, Mitsuri is also in a serious relationship like you two."

You blinked, surprised and happy for the slime, "Really?"

"Yes." The sisters nodded in unison, "Her beloved works in this Zoo that employ Demihumans. He is a Lizardman, working in a reptile house."

The alarms went off in your head as you remembered seeing one back then when you and the fox brothers were visiting the Zoo and you had run into this… Not so polite Lizardman. You swallowed and nodded a little nervously, "Does he happen to wear a mask and have different colored eyes?"

"Yes!" Mitsuri suddenly exclaimed happily, "That's my Obanai!"

"My, have you met before?" Shinobu asked and you nodded while trying your hardest not to cringe when thinking about the kinda rude way he had spoken to you, "Yes, we met during Summer at the Zoo. He also had a white snake with him."

"That's Kaburamaru!" Mitsuri cheered, "Wasn't he the cutest snake ever?"

"Oh, yes, he was very cute!" You nodded and the slime girl's beautiful light green eyes absolutely beamed in joy, "And Obanai is super nice, isn't he?"

"He… Certainly is?" You weren't sure what to say, you didn't want to offend Mitsuri or make her sad, because she genuinely seemed to love that Lizardman. Mitsuri was either oblivious or a fucking saint.

"Isn't he?" She asked happily and that is when the sisters stepped into the conversation. "Mitsuri, would you be dear, and show Kyojuro the butterflies' feeding area? You can help yourself with some orange juice there also."

"Sure!" Mitsuri said happily and you and Kyojuro moved to follow, but the Alraune and Papillion caught you in their hands and held you back, "You're staying with us for a little longer."

"Wh- what-?" You blinked in confusion and shock and the sisters looked at your fiance, "Mitsuri will show you around the butterfly garden."

"We will keep company to your bride."

"I don't mind, but why?" Kyojuro asked and the sisters smiled knowingly, "We will just have a little girl-to-girl talk with each other."

Kyojuro raise his eyebrow in a questioning manner and glanced at you as to make sure you were alright with this. You smiled and waved your hand at him, "Go ahead, I'll join you soon. We will just chat a little."

The Kitsune nodded happily and followed excited Mitsuri who lead him deeper into the butterfly garden. You turned to look at the sisters and asked, "What did you want to talk about?"

"First, we apologize for the sake of Mitsuri's beloved." They said, "Please don't mind Obanai. We know how he can be. He isn't that good with people, women especially, except Mitsuri, who he loves with all his heart."

"He isn't mean to her, is he?" You asked, worried that a sweetie like Mitsuri would get bullied… But the sisters smiled.

"Oh no, he genuinely loves her." Kanae said and Shinobu nodded, "Apparently it was love at first sight."

"Aww…! That is so sweet." You were honestly happy for the pink slime girl, but then you felt a little bad, "Maybe I judged him a little too early…"

"You're alright, he probably said something upsetting without really realizing it." Kanae smiled but then she and her sister turned more serious, "But we wanted to talk to you about something important."

"Hm?" You tilted your head and the Papillion nodded, "It's about your fiance. Have you and Kyojuro done stuff?"

"Uh," You blushed and your mouth seemed to dry on the spot, "W- what kind of stuff a-are we talking about? B- because there isn't any! W- we've only kissed, n- nothing else!"

The sisters shared a look and smiled and-! Oh God, this was so embarrassing, you could feel your face burning like it was on fire. Literally!

"Alright, we believe you." They finally said and you nodded as you attempted to calm yourself down. "W- why you asked?"

"We were just curious."

"Are you waiting for marriage?"

"Well…" You coughed, trying to keep yourself from blushing anymore, "We just started kissing…"

"Ah, young love," The sisters giggled, "We understand."

"Th- thank you…" You nodded but then the sisters turned more serious again, "But if that is the case then we must warn you to please watch out for the full moon."

"Full moon?" You blinked, confused and they nodded, "Yes."

"The full moon draws out demihumans' inner animal instincts." Kanae told you and Shinobu nodded, "They can lose control over themselves and turn… Excited."

"Excited?"

"Horny."

"But…" You were genuinely confused, "Kyojuro hasn't gotten that way?"

The sisters blinked, clearly confused now also as they leaned in to whisper quietly with each other and finally, they looked at you again.

"We see…" Kanae nodded and Shinobu tilted her head at you, "And how long have you been living together?"

"We met and moved in together when the Summer started?" You replied and the sisters shared quick glances with each other before looking at you again.

"We want to tell you that your fiance has probably been eating medication to help him control his inner instincts," Shinobu said and Kanae continued, "If he loves you as much as we have seen, he would no doubt want to have sex with you if you were alright with it.

Hearing this made your blush come back and burn you hundreds of times harder than you had ever felt before. You had to cover your face before it could explode and you squealed against your palms.

Could Kyojuro want you that way? People had in the past, but they were hideous creatures and disgusting about it. Kyojuro had been nothing but gentle, kind, and gentlemanly to you.

"S- should I ask about it from him?"

"You can, but be wary." Kanae and Shinobu warned you, "We don't know him as well as you do so we can't tell what happens if you confront him during the full moon."

"I…" You nodded as you swallowed, "I understand. Thank you for your help."

"It's our pleasure." The sisters smiled at you and suddenly pulled phones out of their clothes' pockets, "Would you like to exchange numbers?"

"We would love to keep in touch with you and your fiance."

"You…?" You blinked in shock, "You want to… Be my friends?"

"Yes!" They both smiled happily and you were stunned… You didn't really have friends… Did you even know how to be one? The last time you had friends they had betrayed you and chased you away from your own home… Could you trust like that to anyone?

…But you trusted Kyojuro and Senjuro and it was one of the best, if not the best, thing you ever did. So you smiled a little shyly, pulled out your own phone and the three of you happily exchanged numbers with each other and somehow you knew you made the right decision again.

"There you are, my beloved bride!"

You glanced over your shoulder and saw Kyojuro and Mitsuri approaching you guys. You smiled as you turned and walked up to your fiance, "Hi Kyojuro! How were the butterflies?"

"That's why I came to get you! Lady Mitsuri showed me where these butterflies eat. They are very tame and let you pick them up! I wanted you to see it also!" The Kitsune explained and you smiled as you took his hand and squeezed it, "Lead the way."

The handsome fiance of yours was so happy, but you still had those questions that Kanae and Shinobu brought up to daylight… But those questions could wait a couple more hours. Now you were spending some time with your beloved Kitsune.

You were on your way to the closest convenience store called 7-Eleven that you had found on your phone's GPS. What couldn't phones do these days? Kyojuro was amazed by how handy the little device of yours could be and you were honestly amused by his reactions.

"So that little device helps you to find your way to places?" He asked and you nodded, "Yes. You can also use it to listen to music, watch videos or explore the internet, though, it's mostly designed to be used to call someone."

"My, how technology is amazing these days!" Kuojuro exclaimed, "Internet? Like ones Jorōgumo's make?"

"Wait, what?" Now you were confused. Luckily, Kyojuro didn't seem to mind your lack of knowledge and he nodded, "Yes, they are demihumans, usually called as spider-ladies."

"Ooh, now I know what you mean!" You smiled and nodded, "Internet is a little different. It's not physical, but you can access it with electronic devices. You can find probably anything from there."

"How intriguing!" The fox nodded, "Can you teach me and my brother to use this net?"

"Yes, it shouldn't be hard." You said, but then you thought about it a little bit and you came to the conclusion that the Fox brothers would need some electronics of their own.

"Remind me that we get you and Senjuro your own phones and computers." You told him and the fox looked at you curiously, "What is computer?"

"It's a device you use to explore the internet."

"Oh, like the phone?"

You nodded, but also corrected him, "Yes, but the computer is almost solely used for exploring the internet while the phone's main job is to call someone else with a phone."

"So if I have a phone, I can call you or my brother and talk with you?"

"Yes."

"No matter where I am?"

"Mostly, yes."

"How handy!" He shouted happily, "So I don't need to send crow messages anymore?"

"No, you don't need to use bird mail anymore, and unlike birds, the messages you send with the phone arrive in the other device in the manner of seconds." You explained, before yawning a little. While it was nice to teach Kyojuro new things, you were slowly feeling the lack of proper sleep creep close by.

"Are you tired, my Hime?" Kyojuro asked and you yawned one more time before shaking your head, "No, or, well, maybe a little, but it's alright."

The fox nodded and he looked like he wanted to say something, but that was when you noticed the bright lights in the short distance and you grinned, "I think we are here."

Kyojuro looked ahead and you grinned a little as you saw his gorgeous eyes widen a the sight of the brightly lit convenience store. The look in his eyes reminded you of the saying like a moth to a flame.

"I guarantee, it's more amazing inside." You said as you gently took his hand and your words and actions seemed to snap the Kitsune out of his mind. He turned to look at you and you smiled as you escorted him inside.

The moment you made it inside, Kyojuro was amazed by all the different foods and drinks all around the store. The place was empty save for the cashier who was reading a magazine behind the register so you and Kyojuro were able to shop in peace.

While the fox gawked at all the treats on display, you grabbed a basket for you and one for your companion. You had to nudge him a little to get his attention and once you had it, you pushed the basket to his hands.

"Fill it with whatever you want me to buy."

"Whatever I want?" Kyojuro's eyes almost sparkled in excitement and you had to look away or risk turning blind.

"Yes, I'll grab some things so you can do the same." You nodded and he smiled as he moved to forward to explore the store. You smiled as you watched him look around and you went to pick up something to make for breakfast.

You grabbed the most basic things there were, such as cereals, milk, orange and apple juice, a carton of eggs, some bacon, and other things that could be counted as part of the breakfast table.

Once you were satisfied with your basket, you sought out Kyojuro who had a basket of his own filled with food and drinks he was curious about. Speaking of curiosity, he was by the register, staring at something intensely. You approached him and carefully tapped his shoulder so you wouldn't startle him.

"Ah, my beloved bride!" He exclaimed and you wondered how the cashier didn't react to him. Kyojuro looked ahead and pointed at some food inside the vitrine next to the register. "What are these buns?"

"They look like they are steamed." You thought out loud as you read the product's description, "Yes, they are steamed buns with pizza filling."

"Pizza?" Kyojuro looked at you and you nodded, "It's a fast food like the hamburgers we had earlier. It's very good."

"In that case, may I try some?"

"Sure, I don't mind." You shrugged and looked at the cashier behind the register, who was still too engaged with his magazine to notice that he had customers. You cleared your throat and the young man glanced at you and the moment he saw he had customers, he sighed and got up.

"Welcome to 7-Eleven, how can I help you?" He asked and you almost winched how lifeless he sounded. You grabbed the older fox's basket and lifted it alongside your basket on the desk between you and the cashier.

"We would like to buy these and...!" You turned to look at the vitrine to see what there was. There were 6 buns left and by what you had learned today, Kyorujo had a bottomless stomach.

"And rest of your steamed buns."

If the cashier cared then he did a good job hiding it. Honestly, he probably didn't give a shit about anything. Maybe he served you because he wanted you gone quickly so he could return to read that magazine of his.

You watched as he scanned your groceries, put them in the bag, and placed the pizza buns in a separate bag, before he asked you to pay, he glanced at Kyojuro, "You cosplaying or something, dude?"

"Cos... Play?" The fox tilted his head in confusion and you shook your head, "Forget it, I'll explain later."

The cashier nodded before asking you to pay. Which you did. Once you were done, you handed Kyojuro his buns and picked up the grocery bags and left the store, and entered the night again.

"You have so much to carry!" Kyojuro noted, "Let me carry them!"

"No, no, you focus on those buns and then you can help me carry these!" You snapped, and he looked like he wanted to argue, but you were having none of that. The fox looked around and suddenly exclaimed, "There!"

You nearly dropped your bags, you were so startled by his sudden shouting.

"Wha-?" You were about to ask when Kyojuro grabbed you and pulled you with him to a small playground. You blinked as he took the groceries from your hands and placed them on the ground by the swings as he took a seat on one.

"We can sit here while I eat!" He said and you honestly had no energy to argue against him. "Okay, sounds good, but we can't stay for long since it's so late and Senjuro is alone at the house."

It was maybe around midnight and you didn't want to leave the house empty for too long since Senjuro was there all by himself. You took a seat on the swing next to his and lazily kicked your legs, making the swing move a little.

"Yes, I'll eat quickly so we can head back quickly and safely!" Kyojuro exclaimed as he fished out a hot bun from the bag and took a bite.

"TASTY!" He shouted and you winched a little by how loud he was being. "Please, try to be a little bit quieter so we don't disturb any residents nearby."

"My apologies my bride!" He nodded as he took another bite, yelling TASTY again, but notably quieter. You smiled as you watched him eat bun after bun while shouting TASTY after each bite he took. You don't know for sure why, but watching him enjoy something as simple as steamed buns so happily made you feel happy also.

But as you watched him eat, his earlier words popped up in your mind. His bride. You? You honestly still couldn't quite believe it. You? Seriously? You glanced at the man who sat next to you and asked, "Hey, Kyojuro?"

"Yes, my beloved?" He stopped eating to look at you and you suddenly felt pretty insecure. "Can I ask something?"

"Please do!"

"Earlier today, when we first met, you said you chose me to become your wife..." You were filled with uncertainty as you looked down at your hanging feet, "Out of all the possible people there are, you really chose me?"

"Yes!" He said without a pause or hesitation.

"Why?" You cleared your throat as you figured out another way to put your question, "Just...! Are you sure you want me?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I'm not the prettiest or smartest woman there is. Don't you want your wife to match your high status?" You frowned, feeling saddened by your own thoughts and words... And Kyojuro didn't allow any of that.

"But you do match!" He exclaimed and you were startled by how honest he sounded, "What?"

"You are beautiful and kind! I could tell that the moment I saw your picture and I knew that moment that you're the woman I want to marry!"

"But I'm-!"

"Gorgeous, unique, and honest!" Kyojuro nodded, "You could have turned me and my brother away, but you accepted and welcomed us right away!"

It wasn't like you could refuse, you had signed the contract, but you guess he was right, you could have been nasty to him and Senjuro, but you weren't raised to be like that.

You grew up always giving people a chance and being open-minded. That, and you couldn't tell why, but you got his good feeling when you looked at the Rengoku brothers. Like you were all meant to be together.

"You're awfully honest." You chuckled as you were getting a little of your more hopeful and positive attitude back. Kyojuro nodded happily as he smiled brightly, "As your fiance, it's my duty to love and care for you!

Fiance... The word brought up so many feelings and so many questions. Well, you were already talking about these things so why not dive deeper into the conversation and learn more about him?

"How do you feel about getting married?"

"I'm excited!" Kyojuro said happily, "I wish great things from marriage, just like my father's and mother's!"

"I see." You got curious, "So your parents are also Kitsunes?"

"Yes, both father and mother have all nine tails they can acquire!"

"Wow, so you and Senjuro are pure Kitsunes?" You asked and Kyojuro nodded, and you expected him to talk about their family line, but instead, he fell quiet and you got worried. It didn't feel like a normal thing for him to be this quiet.

Finally, he spoke, "Now as we are talking, I must admit, there is another reason for my marriage than just to strengthen our Yokai's and humans' bond."

"Oh?" You felt like this was a sensitive topic so you didn't try to pry, but you found out you didn't need to as Kyojuro continued his tale.

"Long time ago, our mother fell ill. Every yokai tried to help her, but there was nothing to be done... With each passing day, mother turned weaker and weaker and she became all skin and bones..."

"Oh no..." You frowned as you listened to this sad story of his.

"But then, a human appeared one day and offered their help to us. Father didn't believe in humans, but we were losing hope and getting desperate so we allowed the human to try and help our mother." Kyojuro nodded as he turned to look at you and he smiled.

"That day, our mother ate for the first time in ages and she started to slowly gain her strength back. She would have no doubt died if it wasn't for this one kind human who brought her the medicine that cured her."

"Oh wow, that is amazing...!" You murmured happily as you heard that the story had a good ending. The Kitsune nodded happily, "So the reason I wanted to marry a human was because of both gratitude and love."

"But I'm not human who helped your mother," You frowned, "Shouldn't you marry them instead of me?"

"While I am eternally thankful for that human, they passed away a long time ago. Or, well, that is what I heard. Instead, I wanted to marry one as kind and genuine as the human who helped my family." Kyojuro turned to look at you, smiling like a sun in the middle of the night. "Someone just like you."

"Wh- what!?" You stuttered as you blushed. You wanted to talk, you wanted to reply, do anything, but it appeared that your brains weren't functioning right when given such sincere compliments.

"So...!" Kyojuro got up from his swing and you watched eyes wide how he humbly bowed to you. "Thank you for taking me and my beloved brother in and caring for us!"

"P- please don't bow to me! Aren't we equals?" You asked, remembering what he had told you earlier that day when you had called him Lord.

"Ah, pardon me!" The Kitsune straightened up and nodded, "I just couldn't help myself from expressing how happy I am to be living with you!"

"W- well..." You were still blushing as you looked aside, "I don't mind, you are very kind to me and Senjuro is so sweet."

"You're so kind and caring!" Kyojuro smiled proudly and nodded, "Truly, you would make a perfect mother!"

"W- wait, what!?" You snapped your gaze at your fiance, feeling your cheeks burn like there was lava below your skin instead of blood. The damn fox had the guts to laugh, "You look adorable when you are embarrassed!"

"Mother!?" You cried out, "W- We barely know each other and we are already talking about having kids!?"

"To be fair, you know much more about my and Senjuro's past than we know about yours!" Kyojuro pointed out and you winched. He was right, so far you had heard about his past, but you hadn't shared anything from yours.

What to tell, what to tell...? You wondered what you should tell her about your past, but that is when you noticed the empty bag that was filled with steamed buns just a little while ago.

"Are you done with the pizza buns?" You asked and the man nodded, "Hm! Yes, I ate the last one quite some time ago! They were delicious!"

"Then we should head back to the house, in case Senjuro wakes up and can't find either of us there." You said as you jumped off the swing and grabbed your grocery bags.

Kyojuro looked like he wanted to say something, but he held his tongue and rushed to grab the bags from you. "Allow me to carry them!"

"I can take at least one of them-!" You were saying as you reached for the other bag but the fox yanked the bags away from your reach, "No, as a man I will carry my bride's belongings!"

"Kyojuro," You said and he nodded, "Yes my Hime?"

"I promise, I will tell you about my past once I can." You promised as he stared at you with those gorgeous eyes of his. Finally, he nodded, "I trust in you to do so."

"I just have to warn you, it's nothing as interesting as your family's story!" You chuckled lightly as you looked forward to the road. The man nodded, "It doesn't matter if it's interesting or not! One day you are going to be my wife and I want to know as much as I can about you!"

You blinked, once again finding yourself gawking at how open this fox was about his feelings. You grumbled a little as you continued your walk toward your shared house... Only to see that all the lights were on in the middle of the night.

"What the-?" You blinked and that is when you remembered that Senjuro was alone. Fearing for the worst, you rushed inside, Kyojuro following just behind you.

"Senjuro-oO!" As soon as you opened the door and stepped inside you felt something hit your stomach and you went down like a dead tree. You felt the air being knocked out of your lungs as your back hit the ground and you groaned, hitting the back of your head on the floor.

"Senjuro!" Kyojuro gasped and you looked down... And saw a small and most adorable fox lying on your stomach. You blinked as you and the fox stared at each until you noticed the familiar golden and red eyes.

"S- Senjuro?" You asked and suddenly there was a puff of smoke and you groaned, feeling the weight on your stomach turn heavier. Once the smoke dissolved, you saw Senjuro himself sitting on your stomach.

"Senjuro?" You called his name and the poor boy was on the brink of tears.

"I- I woke up but no one was here so I tried looking around and I got scared when I couldn't find you two...!" He stuttered as he tried his hardest not to cry but it was a battle that he was losing.

Out of nowhere, you felt your maternal instincts kick in and you quickly pushed yourself up so were sitting and hugged the dear shy boy, who pressed his face against the crook of your neck as you held him in your arms.

"I'm so sorry, we shouldn't have left you alone, it's my fault..." You murmured as you gently rocked him from side to side while petting his golden hair, minding his tall ears that were pressed so low against his head.

"No, I'm the one at fault in here!" Kyojuro exclaimed as he kneeled next to you two, "I shouldn't have left you alone like that. I'm so sorry Senjuro...!"

"It's- it's alright..." The younger fox nodded as he pulled away from the hug, "I- I'm sorry for being like this..."

"No no, nothing is your fault..." You said gently as you smiled, "Being here alone must have been so scary, but you are so brave!"

"I am...?" He blinked and you smiled, "Yes, you are. Much more than you may believe."

"Can I...?" The young fox sniffled as he glanced at the older fox, "Can I sleep today with you brother?"

Kyojuro smiled and nodded immediately, "Of course!"

The man helped his little brother up on his feet before helping you up as well. You looked at the two of them and smiled, admiring their brotherly bond. Suddenly you felt like yawning, but you held it in and took off your shoes.

"You two go ahead and get some sleep." You smiled as you looked at them, "I'll put the groceries away and then go to sleep also."

"Promise?" Kyojuro asked, referring to your earlier promise about sleep that you didn't exactly keep. You raised your hand up and another over your heart, "I promise and I mean it this time."

"Go ahead and into my room Senjuro. I'll be right there." Kyojuro said and his younger brother nodded as he climbed the stairs up and disappeared from your view. You glanced at the older brother who was looking at you with this gaze you didn't quite know or understand.

"What?"

"I told you that you would make a great mother." He said with a kind smile before wishing you good night and following his brother upstairs. You blinked as your brains registered his words and a soft blush to your cheeks.

A mom... You shook your head, trying to chase those fluffy feelings away before you grabbed the grocery bags and went to take them to the kitchen. It didn't take long before all the bags were empty and the fridge was half full with some proper food and some snacks that Kyojuro had picked out of curiosity.

You glanced at the clock on your phone. 1 am. Boy, you were late out there. You stretched your arms high up in the air, feeling those tense muscles on your shoulders ease up a little bit. After your shoulders felt better, you made your way upstairs, but on your way to your room, you stopped by Kyojuro's room and carefully opened the door to take a peek.

The brothers were soundly asleep, Senjuro in his big brother's arms, safe from any harm that the world could inflict on them. You smiled at the sight before closing the door gently and going to your room.

Boy, what a mess it was with all the moving boxes. You would have your hands full for the next couple of days and not just with your stuff, but also teaching the foxes how to live in the modern world.

Somehow, you weren't that scared of that. No, you were looking forward to it.

You groaned as you reached for your phone on the nightstand next to your new and generously big bed. 6 am. You glared at your little device, but you couldn't deny that you weren't sleepy anymore. Tired, but not sleepy enough to turn your side and go back to sleep.

"Screw this..." You cursed as you threw your blanket off and got up, ready to face the new day. You took a fresh set of underwear, jeans, and a T-shirt and carefully sneaked out of your room.

You were trying to be sneaky and quiet so you wouldn't wake up your new Yokai housemates. After the last day and night they had, they deserved some sleep. The same went for you, but you never really followed others' example.

You made your way downstairs and sat on the couch where you had left your sewing kit and the fox brother's clothes that you were fixing to fit their tails properly. You still had a couple of pants that needed to be fixed, but it didn't take that long with a handy woman like you.

Once you were done with them, you grabbed as much of the clothes that you could fit in your arms and carried them to the utility room that you had briefly seen when you and the brothers had inspected your new house. You made it to the room and you were in awe when you saw the machinery you were working with.

You had there the best washing machine and tumble dryer out in the market. You checked the machines and you were awed by how much laundry you could fit inside them. Doing the laundry never felt as fun as it did now. Good thing there was some laundry detergent.

While the laundry was washing, you went to grab your sewing kit and put it away. Then you started to wonder what to make for breakfast. These two housemates of yours came from very traditional Japanese household. What did they eat in Japan for breakfast?

You grabbed the phone of yours that you had left on the coffee table and googled 'Japanese breakfast'. The first thing that came was some indie pop band, but then there were examples of the traditional Japanese breakfast.

Shit, you didn't know how to prepare any of those things. You could make some rice, but you doubt you would make it right for their taste. You put your phone down and went to check the fridge you had just filled last night with Kyojuro.

Bacon, eggs, juice, you got some good ingredients there... For a Western breakfast. You hoped that the fox brothers wouldn't mind it, but if Kyojuro's appetite was anything to go by, you doubted that he would mind.

Seeing that the clock was a little over 7 am, you moved to the kitchen and started to get the breakfast ready. You put the oven on and laid a whole packet of bacon on a baking tray before sticking it in the slowly heating oven. A little trick to evenly cook the bacon that you had learned from your grandma.

You grabbed a skillet, put it on the stove, huh electric, and while it was heating, you cracked some eggs into the bowl, gave them a good swirl, and seasoned them with salt and pepper. Once the skillet was hot, you added oil and the egg mixture. You may not have known how to make miso soup, but you could fry some eggs.

While you were cooking, you were mentally going over things you would need to buy or otherwise get to make living as comfortable for the brothers as possible. Despite knowing them for only one day, you wanted to make them feel welcomed. Make them happy.

...What the heck was wrong with you? Never in your earlier relationships had you thought about your partner as you thought about Kyojuro. But he was different, he came from the country you loved, and he wasn't a normal human. Could it have been because of that he wasn't like other men?

"It smells amazing in here!"

"HOLY-!" You nearly jumped out of your skin. You turned and saw Kyojuro standing by the doorway, wearing only those white Japanese underwear of his.

"Good morning, my precious Hime!" The older Kitsune greeted you and you blinked in shock. You wanted to tell him to dress up, but you noticed Senjuro shyly peeking from behind his brother, and he was also only wearing similar white underwear as his big brother.

"Good morning big sis..." He murmured shyly and you bit your lip so you wouldn't call him cute and risk embarrassing him.

"Good morning boys," You replied as you looked aside, focusing on eggs on the skillet, "Breakfast is done soon, so go dress up and I'll set the table."

"What would you like us to wear?" Kyojuro asked and you glanced at him from the corner of your eye, "Your new clothes are in the washing machine so it will take a moment until you can wear them. Until then, you can wear the same clothes as you were wearing yesterday."

"As my beautiful bride says!" The older brother nodded happily and he and Senjuro went back upstairs to get dressed. While they were there you finished the eggs and put the skillet aside so the food wouldn't burn. You got bacon out and set it aside to cool before going to the fridge and grabbing cereals, milk, orange- and apple juices.

You set the table for three, getting plates, bowls, utensils, and glasses. You set the bacon and eggs on their own plates and just in time as the brothers came back, wearing their kimonos from the last day.

"There you are, please sit and eat as much as you want." You said as you sat down and the foxes followed your example as they sat opposite each other.

"Itadakimasu!" The brothers said in perfect unison and grabbed some bacon and eggs. You didn't want to admit it but you were a little nervous about how they would like them.

You watched them take a bite and saw how their pretty eyes widened before they smiled, "TASTY! Just as expected from my bride!"

"These are really good, big sis!"

They took more food and with each bite, Kyojuro shouted tasty and Senjuro moaned around his mouthful of eggs and bacon. You were honestly happy seeing someone enjoy the food you made so much. But you did have a question in your mind.

"So, can you both turn into foxes?"

The brothers stopped eating for a moment and nodded, "Yes, it's not hard for us."

"I have to admit, I was a little startled when you were turned into a fox last night, Senjuro." You laughed a little, feeling silly that you had gotten startled by something like that.

"I apologize for not telling you this earlier, my beloved!" Kyojuro said, but you just smiled and waved your hand, "No worries, how should you have known that I wouldn't know?"

They both nodded and you continued eating, when you remembered the cereals.

"Would you like some cereal also?" You asked as you grabbed the cereal box and ripped it open. The brothers glanced at each other and curiously watched you fill your bowl full of Cheerios and pour milk on top. You ate a spoonful and you couldn't help but notice how their ears pointed upwards as the cereals crunched in your mouth.

"Can I try some?" Senjuro asked and you nodded around your mouthful and handed him the box. The young fox copied you perfectly and once he took his first bite, you watched in amusement how he smiled, "These are tasty also!"

"Eat as much as you want!" You smiled and all three of you enjoyed the breakfast happily. Everything was eaten and once they were done, they both said, "Gochisousamadeshita", thanking for the wonderful meal. You smiled, proud that you knew enough Japanese to understand them.

As you cleaned the table, you heard peeping coming from the utility room. The laundry must have been done! As soon as you got the plates, bowls, and such to the dishwasher, you rushed to get the clothes out and put them in the tumble dryer.

You nodded as the machine whirred to life and started to dry the laundry. You turned to leave the room, but as soon as you turned, you screamed, startled by the Rengoku brothers looking at you curiously.

"Pardon us, my Hime, but we are curious! What are these machines?" Kyojuro asked and you blinked as you registered his words.

"Ah, of course." You nodded as you stepped aside and explained to them how one machine washed the laundry and the other one dried them. Kyojuro smiled as he nodded, "Hm! Technology these days sure is amazing!"

"Can you teach me how to use them?" Senjuro asked and you blinked, surprised by his question, but you smiled and nodded, "Yes, it's not honestly that hard."

"Thank you," The younger brother smiled and you wanted to say out loud how cute he was, but you held your tongue.

"Hey, while the laundry is drying, we could check some phones for you guys." You said and the brothers nodded eagerly. You told them to wait for you in the living room while you fetched something from your room. You knew exactly where it was, your precious computer.

You grabbed the device, and its charger and headed downstairs where the brothers were. As you made your way to them, they made room for you on the couch so you could sit between them, which you did. Senjuro noticed your computer under your arm and looked at you curiously, "What is that?"

"It's a computer. You can search anything with it, do work, write, chat, play games, almost anything really." You explained briefly as you made yourself comfortable between the foxes and started your computer. The brothers watched curiously how you opened interned and went to browse different phones and such.

"Okay, so, since you guys don't know much about phones, how about we get you some basic smartphones?" You asked and the brothers glanced at each other before Kyojuro laughed, "Yes, a smart phone would be better than a stupid phone!"

Okay, you couldn't help yourself, you snorted at his words and smiled as you tried not to laugh out loud. You saw from the corner of your eye how the older Kitsune's smile got bigger when he saw you smile at his words. You collected yourself quickly, but you couldn't help your smile.

As you browsed phones, you came across pretty good looking ones that had a good memory, internet, camera, and GPS in case they had to find their way around the city and you couldn't be there with them.

While you browsed the phones you noticed that they had some good computers, or laptops like yours, on sale. Honestly, the prices were a joke, you should definitely get them some and then teach them how to use them.

You looked at the brothers and grinned, "While the laundry is drying, how about I show you some funny videos?"

The fox brothers shared confused glances before focusing on you again, "You can watch videos with this machine?" Senjuro asked and you nodded as you opened Youtube and showed them a couple of funny animal videos, and you were filled with happiness as you listened to them laugh or chuckle at the cute creatures.

You were having so much fun that you didn't notice time flying by. Finally, you heard peeping and you grinned as you put your laptop on the coffee table and went to collect Kyojuro's and Senjuro's clothes. The brothers waited for you by the cough as you approached them with your hands full of clothes and you dropped them all on the couch.

"Pick something you like to wear and we will go and buy you phones!" You said with a smile and the brothers nodded as they got up to choose their clothes, but the moment their hands touched the fresh laundry they gasped.

"These are so warm!" Kyojuro exclaimed and Senjuro smiled, "And so soft!"

"Miracles of modern technology." You chuckled as you picked boxers and threw them at the brothers who caught them with ease. "You can start by putting on some more comfortable underwear. I'll go get my shoulder bag and then we can leave."

The brothers nodded and you rushed to pick up your bag and made sure you had everything needed, such as your phone, wallet, and keys to the house. You nodded, pleased with yourself, and while you were waiting for the fox brothers by the entrance you checked from your phone when the electronics stores would open.

"We are ready, my Hime!"

You lifted your gaze from your phone and smiled at the sight of the brothers. They looked really good in their new jeans and T-shirts... Though, you couldn't help but admire a little how Kyojuro's shirt hugged his upper body.

Bad you, shoo dirty thoughts, shoo!

Instead of thinking anything naughty, you put your phone in your bag and moved closer to inspect their pants from behind to see if the holes you made for the tails were big enough.

"How do the pants feel?" You asked and they both smiled, "Wonderful! Thank you for fixing them for us!"

"You're welcome. I'm happy that you are more comfortable now," You nodded, "Let's get going then!"

The three of you put your shoes on and once you made sure that the door was locked, you all walked to the same shopping mall from last day. You could still feel people looking at the brothers, but not as much as on the last day when they had their kimonos on. Now they blended in with regular people more.

You made your way to the electrics store and the brothers were in awe by all the televisions on one wall and all the electronics on display. While they admired the high-resolution televisions you fetched a saleswoman and asked about phones you had looked up earlier at your new home.

The woman happily helped you pick up the stuff you wanted so you bought the brothers their own smartphones and laptops. The bill you got would have cost you over two months' salary, but thank God for Mister Smith and the debit card he bestowed on you.

"Boys! I got the stuff, we can leave now!" You called after them, and the Kitsune's ears perked up when they heard you. You waited for them to come to you and once they made it, you pointed at the two large medium boxes that contained their computers.

"Can you carry these?" You asked. You knew they weren't that heavy, but you liked to have your hands free in case you would need them. The brothers nodded as they picked their own boxes and you made sure to thank the saleswoman as you left the store.

While you were there, you thought that you might as well do some grocery shopping since you doubted that you had anything proper to death for lunch or dinner. Also, you needed some everyday things.

"Hey, do you think you have the energy to visit the grocery store?" You asked as you glanced at the foxes and they both nodded, "We go wherever you go!"

You smiled, "Great, then let's get some basic things and something to eat today other than junk food."

You grabbed a shopping cart as you entered the store and slowly but surely it got fuller and fuller. Not only did you get food, but also those little things such as deodorant, shampoo, and body soap, and this time you made sure to remember the damn toothbrushes alongside the toothpaste.

By the time you were ready and you had paid for everything, the three of you had 4 bags full of food and groceries. Thank God that you had two strong Kitsunes helping you. Kyojuro automatically grasped the two heaviest bags, giving his computer for you to carry, but when Senjuro reached for two bags also, you only gave him one and took the other one yourself.

"I can carry more," The younger Rengoku said, but you shook your head and smiled, "Nope, You can have one, but I insist that I carry the other one."

"But-!"

"Nope!" You left no room for arguments so Senjuro gave in and took one bag and carried his computer in another. While you were focused on the younger brother, Kyojuro smiled at the sight of you caring for his brother.

The three of you left the mall, but you quickly found out that the summer heat was almost brutal on you three and not only that, but your grocery bags were so heavy that their straps really dug into the skin on your palms.

"Ugh, this wouldn't be so hard if we had a car..." You grumbled as you lifted the hand holding Kyojuro's computer and used the back of the said hand to wipe your forehead. The older Kitsune was all smiles as he looked at you, "Would you like for me to take your bag?"

"Touch my bag and I'll bite you." You groaned back, not going to let your fiance carry anymore since he was already carrying most of the groceries.

"My bride is so stubborn!" Kyojuro laughed out loud with a huge smile, "She is honestly too cute!"

"I'm not, shut up," You blushed, but you were so hot that he could probably not tell. Secretly, he could tell.

"I'm sorry..." Senjuro said as he frowned sadly, but you looked at him and smiled, "It's okay, you have no reason to be sorry Senjuro."

"But I-!"

"You are already a huge help, so don't feel bad." You nodded, "I'm happy to have you here."

The younger brother looked at you like he was trying to detect any lies, but he could tell that you were being honest. So he nodded shyly and smiled. You nodded, happy that he was feeling better, and secretly Kyojuro was admiring your kindness towards his brother.

When you made it back to your new home, you started to unload your groceries with the brothers, making sure to quickly put the stuff that needed to be stored in cold into the fridge and put other stuff like bread, toothpaste, soap, and such on the kitchen counter.

When you were done with those, you and the brothers made yourselves comfortable on the couch as you opened their brand-new computers and put them to recharge, alongside their new phones. You had to activate their new telephone subscription from your computer, but it wasn't hard for a modern gal like you.

Once the devices had recharged enough to be used, Kyojuro and Senjuro watched in awe how you set their phones and computers so they could use them at once. That was the easy part. Now you had to teach them how to use their new devices.

You made sure to write down your phone number on their phones and the other way around so you could be in contact with each other no matter where you were. Then you had to show them GPS, camera, and text messages, amongst other things. Computers also, you had to teach them how to use something as simple as Google or how to close a website or add another tab.

Kyojuro listened to you carefully as he tried his best, but surprisingly Senjuro was picking up things quicker than his older brother was. What did your mother say to you when you were small? The younger learn things easier than the older?

"So, if I do this, I can share a picture from my phone to my computer?" He asked and you nodded with a huge smile, "Exactly! You learn very quickly Senjuro!"

"Just as expected from you Senjuro," Kyojuro smiled at his younger brother and gently petted his head, minding his tall ears, "I knew you could do it!"

"S- so can you brother," The young fox said and the older one laughed, "Maybe, but not as quickly as you!"

"You are both learning quickly," You said, "In fact, I think you have earned yourself a reward!"

Hearing this, both brothers' ears perked up and you tried your hardest not to say how cute they were. No, instead you got up and walked to the kitchen where you had hidden something you had bought when they hadn't been looking.

Chocolate. It was honestly nothing serious, just some basic milk chocolate, but you had a hunch that they hadn't tried any before. So you made your way back to the couch and started to unwrap the chocolate tablet. Once you got it open, you gave a piece to both Kyojuro and Senjuro, who curiously sniffed the pieces.

"Put them in your mouths quickly or they melt on your fingers." You said and they nodded, dropping the chocolate into their mouths and-!

"SO TASTY!" Kyojuro shouted and you knew he was about to shout, but you hadn't been prepared for how loud he would shout it. Senjuro smiled and moaned happily as he enjoyed his piece, "It's very tasty!"

"I'm happy you like it!" You were all smiles and the brothers turned to look at you excitedly, "May I get another piece?"

"I- I would like some also if possible?"

Honestly, they were being just too cute, how could you say no to them?

The next day came so slowly, it felt like you were waiting for your date with Kyojuro forever. You could barely sleep that night because you were busy thinking about all the different places you could go during your date.

As you woke up, you felt tired because of lack of proper sleep, but you were also giddy because of the idea of going out with your fiance.

Kyojuro had given you free hands so it was up to you what the two of you would be doing and what time. You wondered if you should get something to eat, but you were a little worried about your fiance's habit of shouting TASTY after each bite of food he took.

Not that you minded, you had grown used to this habit of his, but you were pretty sure that what the other people would think about it. You usually didn't care that much about some random strangers' opinions on things, and you were pretty sure that Kyojuro himself didn't care either, but you wanted this to be a fun experience for him.

Movies? What there was even coming… Maybe some action movie? You hummed thoughtfully as you picked up your phone from the bedside table and used it to check upcoming movies.

…Nothing that looked interesting. You frowned, how could there be nothing interesting in cinemas? Plan B, move along and try to come up with an idea for the date.

Dinner by candlelight? No, he would no doubt shout and you two would get kicked out of the restaurant and you didn't want that to happen. Also, wouldn't it be a little too intimate for your first date?

A zoo? Ooh, wait, you could totally go to the zoo!

…But the more you thought about it, you thought that Senjuro would probably also enjoy visiting a zoo and seeing all kinds of different animals. You wanted to include Senjuro, you really did, but shouldn't your first date with Kyojuro be with just the two of you?

You stared at your phone as you thought about what you should do until you snapped, grabbed a pillow, and screamed against it. Fuck it, you liked Senjuro so he could come also! You just had to ask!

With that in your mind, you got up and put on some slacks and a shirt and made your way downstairs to get the breakfast started… But as you walked the stairs down, you could smell food being cooked. You were confused and made your way to the kitchen where you saw the younger Kitsune cooking breakfast.

"Senjuro?"

The young boy flinched and turned to look at you, but seeing that it was just you he relaxed and smiled, "Oh, big sis! You nearly gave me a fright."

"I'm sorry," You nodded and then looked at the table that was already filled with different breakfast dishes. You blinked before looking at the young fox, "Did you make all this?"

"Yes, I hope you don't mind. I woke up and wanted to be useful somehow," He nodded as he moved the skillet in his hands and cut equal parts of scrambled eggs on three plates.

"I don't mind, but you are a young man, you shouldn't worry about housekeeping as I should." You replied and Senjuro looked at you, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you…"

"N- no, nothing like that!" You quickly shook your head, "I was just worried!"

"Oh, you could never offend me! I enjoy being helpful." He smiled and you had to control your instincts that were telling you to call him cute and hug him.

"You are too pure for this world Senjuro." You said instead and the young boy smiled happily at your sweet words. Suddenly you heard steps coming from behind you and you turned around just in time to see Kyojuro step into the kitchen.

"Good morning!" Your fiance greeted you and his brother happily before looking at the table filled with food. "Did my loving bride do all this?"

"No, but your loving little brother did." You said and Kyojuro smiled brightly as he walked to his younger brother and petted his head, minding his fox ears. "Wonderful Senjuro! You are better at cooking than me!"

"Or me." You added with a small smile and the young fox blushed, "T- thank you, but I'm not that good yet!"

"We will be the judges of that." You said and all three of you took seats and started to enjoy the breakfast that Senjuro made. You could feel your eyes widen, the scrambled eggs were so fluffy and well-seasoned, they were just perfect.

"TASTY!" Kyojuro shouted and you nodded alongside him, "This is really good Senjuro! Way better than the eggs I make!"

"I will happily eat my brother's or my bride's food!" Your fiance shouted.

"T- thank you, I looked up some recipes from the internet with my computer." The young fox said as he blushed a little. You swallowed the mouthful you had and smiled at him, "I'm happy you are using your computer also. You learned really quickly how to use the electronics."

You could feel someone looking at you and you turned to see Kyojuro staring at you. You grinned, "You too Kyojuro. I'm proud of how quickly the two of you learned!"

"Thank you!" Both brothers thanked you and you smiled. That is when you remembered that you had a plan for your date.

"Kyojuro?" You asked and the older fox turned to look at you, "Yes, my Hime?"

"It's about our date today…" You started, "I was wondering if you would like to visit the city's zoo?"

"Zoo?" The foxes glanced at each other and you smiled, "It's a place where you can admire different wild animals around the world."

"That sounds like fun!" Kyojuro nodded and you smiled, "That's the thing. I wanted to ask if it's okay for your brother if you come with us?"

"Me?" Senjuro blinked in shock, "You want to take me on your date?"

"Only if you want to come and it's alright with your brother?" You asked as you glanced at your fiance.

"Hm!" Kyojuro nodded with a wide smile, "I like that idea!"

"It does sound like fun! But…" Senjuro looked down sadly and you frowned in worry, "But?"

"I… I don't want to intrude on your two's special time with each other." He finally said, "The two of you should spend time alone without me being a third wheel."

"You aren't a third wheel! You are my dear little brother!" Kyojuro suddenly shouted and you nodded alongside him, "If I didn't want you to come I wouldn't have asked you to. You can come or stay, but it's your decision."

Senjuro thoughtfully looked down at his plate of eggs and after waiting for half a minute, he glanced at you shyly, "Then… Can I come with you?"

You and Kyojuro smiled happily, "Of course!"

The three of you finished your breakfast and went to dress up for your trip to the zoo. Since it was going to be pretty hot, you all dressed lightly.

You chose to wear this beautiful long red floral dress with yellow flowers on it. You had found that beauty in a second-hand store, but you knew that wouldn't matter because it was a pretty dress, no matter where it came from.

Kyojuro and Senjuro both put on capri pants and T-shirts, the older fox having something written in Kanji on his shirt and the younger one having a cute little cartoon chibi flame on his. Since it was promised to be sunny, you made sure to take something cold to drink, such as a bottle of water and one bottle of Cola. After that, you were ready.

The trip to the zoo wasn't that awful, but you could tell that people were looking at you and the brothers. Probably because of their good looks… And fox's ears and multiple tails, but they seemed completely ignorant to the looks you were getting so you chose to ignore the looks also.

Since you were there early in the morning, the lines to the zoo weren't that awful. You used the debit card Mister Smith had given to you to pay for the three of your tickets inside.

The brothers were in complete awe when they looked around the place, big cats being the first thing the visitors saw when they entered the zoo. The three of you went to look at the lions and tigers they had behind huge glass walls and bars. Senjuro was in awe when he saw the huge cats and you were also impressed by them.

That was when you couldn't help but notice that the workers around the zoo all appeared to be some sort of demihumans or such.

"Kyojuro, can you wait here a second? I'll go and ask something from that mouse person there?" You asked and the man nodded, "Go ahead, we will wait for you here!"

"Thank you!" You smiled and quickly caught up with this small woman with mouse ears and a tail.

"Excuse me?" You asked and the woman turned to look at you, "Yes?"

"I couldn't help but notice that there are many demihumans working here?"

"Oh, yes, you see, the zoo itself is pretty new and the owner is a demihuman themself and wanted to employ people like them in here." The mouse woman told you and you nodded, "I see! Thank you so much for the info!"

"Thank you for asking, we are here to guide you, visitors." She smiled back at you and you returned back to the fox brothers who looked at you.

"You're back!" Kyojuro smiled, "You weren't gone for long!"

"What did you talk about?" Senjuro asked and you smiled as you explained to them how the zoo employed demihumans. The two of them were in awe, "That is great!"

"Yes! I'm excited to see both animals and different demihumans!" Now you were really excited. The animals were nice, sure, but the demihumans were also fascinating because Kyojuro and Senjuro were the ones also. If you got to know more demihumans, would you learn more about the fox brothers?

You and the brothers kept exploring the zoo and animals and as you did, slowly, but surely, the zoo was getting more and more visitors and you noticed that your fiance and his brother were also getting more and more attention.

"Ugh, honestly…" You groaned as you wiped your forehead with the back of your hand, "I feel like such a bag of potatoes when I'm standing next to you guys."

"What do you mean, my bride?" Kyojuro asked and you glanced at him, but he genuinely didn't know what you meant by saying that. You smiled, he was just too kind and pure, just like his little brother was.

"Nothing, sorry." You smiled and the brothers were confused, but they didn't pry any further. As you explored, you saw different kinds of demihumans such as minotaurs, couple centaurs, catgirls, and many more.

You and the brothers were so engaged with the animals and demihumans that you all lost track of time. You felt so bad, you had missed lunch and the clock was getting closer to 3pm. You were hungry, yes, but you couldn't even begin to wonder how hungry the Kitsunes were.

That's when the Gods blessed you three as you made it to the food court. There were different kinds of foods, anything for anyone really. You glanced at the brothers and you could almost see drool leaking from their mouths and you were reminded of the first time you three ate burgers the day you met.

"Would you like to eat?" You asked, even if you already knew the answer. The brothers nodded eagerly and the three of you gathered almost everything on your plates. While you enjoyed a pulled pork hamburger with fries, Senjuro was enjoying the same as you were except he chose pulled chicken and Kyojuro? He was having the whole menu.

You were thankful that you had taken Senjuro with you because he was able to cast the silent spell so only you and he could hear his older brother shouting TASTY with each bite he took.

Finally, after eating for an hour, the three of you were on went to check the other attractions that the zoo had. That's when you noticed something that made you really excited.

"Ooh, there is a reptile house!" You awed as you pointed forward at the building with a glass ceiling, "Can we go there next?"

"Of course!" Both Kyojuro and Senjuro said and you cheered quietly, excited to see some reptiles like snakes and froggies and such. The three of you entered the house and you were immediately hit by this hot humid air, that was perfect for reptiles.

You watched in awe how these bright little frogs inhabited a terrarium, long and beautiful pythons enjoyed the warm light, turtles rested in the water and so many other reptiles that lived in the humid building.

"Snakes are just so cute…!" You whispered excitedly as you watched a bright green python yawn.

"You talking by yourself…? Talk about creepy…"

You yelped, jumping a little in fright before turning to look at who had spoken to you. You blinked, as your brains registered this young man standing there before you, with a white face mask over his lower face.

You were almost mesmerized by his heterochromatic split eyes, the left one being turquoise and the right one being yellow, but his skin was so pale, save for the dark hair, scaly hands, and scales that covered the sides of his face and long lizard's tail.

Ooh, he was a Lizardman! You smiled at him, but you didn't get to say anything before he squinted his eyes at you, "It's rude to stare."

"Ah, I'm sorry-!" You were saying when you noticed a beautiful albino snake wrapped around the man's neck. "Oh, you have a very beautiful snake!"

"His name is Kaburamaru and he isn't just some snake." The man said and the snake flicked its tongue at the air between you two.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude-!"

"My bride, are you here?" You heard Kyojuro calling you and you turned to look and sure enough, his head peeked from behind a snakes' terrarium. You waved at him and the Lizardman squinted his eyes at the two of you.

"You…" He mumbled quietly and as Kyojuro joined you, you turned to look at him and smiled, not quite hearing what he said. "I'm sorry, did you say something? I didn't hear?"

"A Kitsune engaged to a common human…?" The Lizardman glared at you, "What a waste…"

You flinched, hearing him say that, your worst fear. You felt insulted and yet, like he was onto something. You forced a smile on your face, trying to ignore the feelings that his words brought up, but it was too late, Kyojuro had noticed the change in your mood.

Your fiance wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you against his side. You blinked in shock and looked at him, but just as you turned, you felt something soft touch your forehead and saw Kyojuro's face before yours.

He just kissed your forehead.

You were so shocked you couldn't even blush once your brains registered what happened, it was too late. Kyojuro smiled at the Lizardman, "I don't think it's a waste if I love her. I think it's a blessing. You know it when it happens when you meet your other half or destined partner."

He looked at you and you were stunned by the look in his eyes. Genuine love. "They are your best friend, your biggest supporter, and accept you as you are. They are someone that makes you happy to wake up each morning, knowing they are there for you no matter what."

You were stunned by the Kitsune's words. Did he really feel that deeply for you? As you stared at Kyojuro in wonder, the Lizardman scoffed.

"Don't get me wrong…" He grumbled quietly, "I'm in no way the same as you two…"

"You don't need to be." Kyojuro smiled, "You just need to be happy!"

That seemed to be enough for the demihuman because he turned and left you two be. As soon as he was gone, Senjuro appeared from behind from one of the terrariums and smiled at you two, "I saw a blue frog there!"

Ah, he had missed the whole conversation. Maybe that was for the best since that Lizardman wasn't the nicest person to talk to. You smiled as you looked at the younger fox, "Really?"

"Yes! According to the information, it's one of the most poisonous frogs there is in the world!" He said excitedly and you awed, "Wow, I like frogs, but not that much!"

"Would you like to see it?" He asked and you smiled, "Lead the way!"

The three of you explored the reptile house in peace and you didn't see the Lizardman anymore, which to you was a small blessing. Once you left the house you noticed that it was already half past 5pm, but you had managed to explore the whole zoo in one day. It was an achievement on its own already!

You guys stopped at the gift shop before leaving, buying you and the brothers identical, and not to mention super cute fox keychains for your keys.

The trip home was lively as you talked about all the animals you had seen and by the time you were home, you were all a little hungry, but not enough to make a proper dinner so you all ate sandwiches.

The rest of the day went relaxing and taking a long bath, both you and brother taking one separately of course. Before you knew it, it was time for all three of you to go to sleep. After the day you guys had, you were pretty sure that you were going to fall asleep the moment your head touched the pillow.

You sighed as you were done brushing your teeth and stepped out of the bathroom, just in time to see the brothers wish each other good night before Senjuro went to his room, and Kyojuro was about to go to his but then he noticed you from the corner of his eye and stopped to smile at you.

"My bride, how are you feeling?" He asked and you smiled as you stifled a yawn and walked to him. "I'm feeling good, thank you for asking. Tired, but good."

"I'm happy to hear that!" He nodded happily and you smiled a little, but something had been bothering you ever since you guys left the reptile house.

"Kyojuro…?" You started carefully and he nodded, "Yes?"

"You… Earlier, you kissed me… On forehead…" You murmured quietly, feeling yourself getting embarrassed over nothing serious.

"Did I?" He blinked as he smiled, and you rolled your eyes, knowing that he was just teasing you now.

"Did you kiss me because you wanted to protect me from what that Lizardman said?" You asked and he grew quiet. You swallowed nervously as you waited for him to reply and finally, he did.

"That, and I really had wanted to do that for the longest time." He admitted and you smiled, "Good."

"Wh-?" He was about to ask when you gently placed your hands on his cheeks and leaned forwards to kiss him. Kyojuro's eyes widened as he felt your lips press against his, but slowly, he closed his eyes and leaned forward to kiss you back, his hand going to press against your upper back and the other holding you by the back of your neck.

Slowly, the two of you pulled apart, and as you opened your eyes, you both could see the feelings you held for each other in your eyes.

"Thank you." You whispered as you quickly pecked his lips one more time before pulling apart and running into your room. Kyojuro stared after you and smiled as went to his room, but little did either of you know, you were both thinking of each other when you made yourself comfortable on your beds, excited for the upcoming day.
