HAPPY EVERLIGHT EVERYONE i am going to be thinking about a jkeu mythic quest au all evening i think they would fit perfectly into the narrative. also rachel paneofglass is so poppy li coded to me just trying her best and committing to trusting her imagination even when its dumb or doesnt work out and well im not going to say josh is ian coded but im not not going to say that.

anyway the point is they would all love to get dressed up in their fav renaissance stuff for everlight and fight with swords i think josh and kat would get extremely far as a team and janice and rachel obviously team up too and are probably kind of perfect underdogs. also hacker wolves would show up and surprise everyone (they hacked into mq and have been a pain in their side for months) and get the crowd extremely hyped up only to get disqualified when david figures out who they are. they then have a howl off

They all just live out in the boonies

The family: city man Joel is laying low with his (somehow related?) Gem who is definitely not also hiding from the law. (I saw a post that said he refuses to sleep inside and just sleeps in his car in a field every night and I think that’s funny as hell)

Bamboozlers : building a theme park with no safety oversight. Like man powered renfair esc rides. Tiger king vibes (no animal cruelty tho)

Spanners: not sure about them but I like the idea of them being explorers of an old dry iron mine. They do tours and build bridges in it. Grian lives next to the amusement park and is not amused.

Tuff guys: Etho own the gas station/grocery store tango and Bdubs work there.

upcycled my mums trousers from the 80s because the shape of them was just sooo great

It used to be white, but due to age had turned yellowish, so I dyed it green. I wanted to do a lot of embroidery at the top and bottom, but I ended up doing small details at the top and think it is cute. It already has a light renfair-vibe, and I didn't want it to be too extreme. Whimsical but still wearable

Renfaire photo dump of my birthday weekend!

I went as a historically inspired (15/16 ish centuries in silhouette and patterning) Harrowhark Nonagesimus, my partner was my less historically inspired and more medieval-times-the-dinner-show inspired Gideon (because I lost two days working on a costume for some one who didn’t come), and @neptunedivinity went with a queen of the wild hunt vibe.
