Goodbye 2016

I saw a couple of people doing this and I guess I got inspired.

Now that 2016 is dead and buried I have a few words to say:

Good riddance to begin with..

This past year was one of the toughest I’ve had. It wasn’t as hard as having to lose my aunt in 2015, but my depression really took a turn for the worst. I became suicidal again, self harming, and dark thoughts invaded my mind once more. It was absolute torture, and it was very lonely. I alienated so many of my loved ones, many of them were people I met on here, because I believed it was better that way, I just didn’t want to hurt anybody anymore.

But all of this is over. 

I changed therapists, and in doing so I found the best one I have ever been to. I changed psychiatrists, and therefor medications and am now doing a lot better. I have no more suicidal thoughts of any kind or self harming wishes.

I also made a huge step towards my academical life by applying to a masters progarmme in Gender Studies (fingers crossed), and have maintained a job for exactly one year. 

I became more aware of the friends I had, after believing I had none for so long, and strengthened my relationships with all of them.

I fell in love, one sided granted, but it still feels good to know that I am still capable of loving that way. 

I have cried, laughed, and smiled.

I watched so many awesome new shows, and so many great old ones.

I wrote and read some amazing fanfiction.

I had the chance to go twinsies for christmas with @treetoppergabaeriel, whom I adore.

I was blessed to keep a beautiful friendship with @megara09, who stood by me, day in and day out, through thick and thin, and I owe her so much.

And I had the most amazing new year’s eve, watching Marvel with @fightmebucky I would not have wanted to start my year any other way.

I want to thank all of you for being there for me, even if we hadn’t spoken at all this past year, or none whatsoever, you were always in my heart and mind:
