Alice is the antithesis of Martin. Martin was shy, awkward, lonely. Alice is extroverted, jocular, and seemingly has lots of friends.

But I still think the two might be the same kind of haunted

I love how at the beginning of TMA Jonathan Sims writes off every statement because he’s a pretentious prick, and now in protocol Alice writes off every statement because she simply Does Not Care.

the subtle way that the magnus protocol is building its horror like a apartment complex over the graveyard that is the magnus archives is soooo fascinating to me. I don't just mean the inclusion of gerry and gertrude or the fact that gwen is a bouchard, I mean just the faint brushes of tma everywhere: sam and alice are exes, just like jon and georgie. something about needles and his coy-but-flustered monologuing is reminiscent of michael and the other twinkifiable avatars in tma. sam trying to break through locked doors and what we know about door symbolism. colin and his jon-like descent into paranoia, and his melanie-ish casualness around (probably) doing illegal or dangerous things. alice making corny jokes and sounding ever-so-slightly like Tim. Lena and food versus Elias and cake. the narrative is haunting the narrative...oh dramatic irony, we're really in it now

thinking about "canaries should stay above ground" and the very first statement being about a person investigating the magnus institute and how that ended horribly for them and then thinking about how sam is looking into the institute despite alice warning him to drop it. something something you are already doomed before you even begin.

i don't see enough hype for the return of basira hussain she was honestly the coolest character in the magnus archives

she survived TWO horrific events by sheer willpower and girlboss-attitude and i wish more people loved her like i do

gotta love how sam, celia and alice are like “oh no a love triangle! workplace drama this is so awkward hehe” meanwhile miss gwendolyn bouchard is seconds away from having a full-blown mental breakdown over unknowingly aiding a sentient clown mascot in mass murder

I do want more Supernatural actually. There's things, characters, feelings that I want to experience differently than I have before, or maybe even for the first time. Like a beach episode.
