Renault Master Maxi
Le nouveau Renault Master Maxi est lancé avec un nouveau look, des équipements améliorés et des moteurs encore plus puissants. La partie avant au design caractéristique de la marque Renault est une caractéristique marquante de la nouvelle génération de fourgons dans la catégorie des véhicules de 3,5 à 6,5 tonnes de PTAC. Les pare-chocs galbés et le losange Renault placé en évidence sur la calandre soulignent l'appartenance familiale du Maxi Master.
Avec deux moteurs turbo diesel dCi à la pointe de la technologie, chacun d'une cylindrée de 3,0 litres, le nouveau Renault Master Maxi offre le concept de conduite optimal. Les moteurs sont disponibles avec des puissances de 85 kW/116 ch (3.0 dCi 120) et 115 kW/156 ch (3.0 dCi 160). Avec des couples de 270 Nm à 1 300 tr/min et 350 Nm à 1 500 tr/min, les choses bougent vite même lorsque les limites de capacité de charge sont utilisées. Les deux moteurs sont dotés d'une injection directe à rampe commune moderne et d'une technologie à quatre soupapes.
Renault propose le Master Maxi en trois catégories de poids allant de 3,5 à 6,5 tonnes de poids total en charge. Quatre empattements (3,13 ; 3,63 ; 4,13 ; 4,63 mètres) sont disponibles pour le châssis avec cabine de conduite, les trois plus longs étant combinables avec une cabine double à sept places. Les deux fourgons avec 12,6 et 14,2 mètres cubes d'espace de chargement sont disponibles en 3,5 et 5,5 tonnes. De plus, de nombreuses solutions industrielles sur mesure résultent de la coopération avec les constructeurs et les constructeurs.
La principale caractéristique du cockpit Master Maxi est le tableau de bord nouvellement conçu avec une ergonomie exemplaire. La particularité : comme pour les modèles frères Trafic et Master, le levier de vitesses en forme de joystick dépasse de la console centrale à portée de main. Associée au siège du conducteur, réglable en longueur, en hauteur et en inclinaison, cette disposition répond aux normes de confort les plus élevées. Des vitres profondes et de grands rétroviseurs extérieurs avec inserts grand angle assurent également une excellente visibilité panoramique. A ARTE DA TRANSFORMAÇÃO DE UM VEÍCULO: A CRIAÇÃO DO "CAMIÃO SONORO" DA RENAULT
Ultrapassar os limites da personalização de veículos comerciais, transformando um Master num "camião de som", um estúdio de gravação profissional totalmente funcional sobre rodas - foi este o desafio que a Renault e os seus parceiros enfrentaram no âmbito de uma iniciativa de RSE "Give Me 5", concebida para proporcionar um trampolim móvel de rap aos jovens e tornar a produção musical acessível ao maior número possível de pessoas. É tempo de nos juntarmos a os principais intervenientes no projeto para uma retrospetiva das etapas percorridas e dos desafios enfrentados na criação deste veículo à medida.
Há uma profissão para cada paixão e um veículo comercial específico para cada profissão. A criação musical não é exceção, como prova o "camião de som" criado no âmbito do programa Give Me 5. Na primavera de 2023, uma iniciativa de trampolim móvel deu a cinco talentosos finalistas a oportunidade de gravar em condições profissionais - num estúdio de gravação móvel. Para desenvolver um veículo Master para este fim, a Renault trabalhou com dois parceiros, um especializado em acústica arquitetónica e o outro em carroçaria - Red House e Pro Car. Esta iniciativa de transformação única e altamente exigente resultou no Master "camião de som", aclamado como um novo símbolo da inovação e da experiência da Renault no domínio da personalização de veículos comerciais.
QUANDO OS DESAFIOS DÃO O MOTE PARA UMA AVENTURA MUSICAL
As equipas de veículos comerciais, design e marketing da Renault decidiram juntar os seus talentos para ajudar outras pessoas a mostrarem os seus. Antes de poderem transformar um Renault Master "básico" num estúdio de gravação móvel totalmente funcional (ou seja, um camião de som), precisavam de ter uma compreensão clara das necessidades e requisitos do projeto.
"Tínhamos muitos requisitos relacionados com a construção do veículo, uma vez que este andaria em digressão por França. Tinha de albergar um estúdio de gravação profissional, pesar menos de 3,5 toneladas para poder ser conduzido com uma carta de condução normal de categoria B, ser construído com materiais eco-responsáveis e, acima de tudo, estar alinhado com o ADN da marca", afirma Annejela Royoux, Directora de Imagem e Parcerias de Patrocínio no Departamento de Marketing da Renault.
Estas exigências eram um desafio em todas as frentes. Tecnicamente, tratava-se de garantir uma insonorização ótima, respeitando as limitações de peso e de dimensões do veículo. Para atingir este objetivo, a Renault recorreu não só à sua experiência na adaptação de veículos comerciais em função das necessidades específicas, mas também à experiência de parceiros especializados - o especialista em acústica arquitetónica Red House para a conceção acústica do estúdio de gravação e Pro Car para a carroçaria do veículo.
PESO PARA UM "SOM PESADO"
O primeiro desafio consistiu em encontrar o equilíbrio certo entre o peso do camião de som e o seu desempenho acústico, como explica Olivier Guerry, chefe de conversão da Pro Car: "Uma boa acústica pode ser conseguida assegurando que os materiais se movem o menos possível. Se o fizermos, aumentamos o peso. No entanto, estávamos a lidar com um veículo comercial que tinha de ser conduzido com uma carta de categoria B e, por conseguinte, não pesar mais de 3,5 toneladas, pelo que tínhamos de controlar o seu peso." Salientando que cada fase do processo de transformação incluiu verificações de peso, Lucas Medus, fundador e diretor artístico da Red House, afirma: "O peso foi monitorizado ao longo de todo o projeto, incluindo durante os processos de insonorização e tratamento de som e para os acabamentos e mobiliário. Planeámos tudo até ao último parafuso para evitar acrescentar três gramas a mais." A restrição de peso, inerente a este grande projeto, significou que as equipas tiveram de realizar constantemente testes, fazer cálculos e malabarismos com a seleção de materiais que iriam formar e equipar o camião de som.
"Tudo o que entrava na carrinha era pesado e muito pensado para garantir o cumprimento das restrições de peso", diz Julien Ravary, Acústico Associado e Designer de Estúdio na Red House, antes de mencionar a natureza eco-responsável deste veículo cuidadosamente concebido: "Seleccionámos os materiais em função da sua rigidez e peso e estudámos a forma de os adaptar às nossas necessidades. Escolhemos isolantes ecológicos para evitar a utilização de lã de rocha ou de lã de vidro.O resto é composto principalmente por madeira". A equipa foi engenhosa na procura dos materiais certos e na criação de um layout inteligente.
CONDUZIR, CANTAR E GRAVAR… SEM AUMENTAR O VOLUME
Além disso, o espaço limitado disponível foi um grande desafio para o projeto.
O objetivo era criar um estúdio de gravação profissional totalmente funcional nos nove metros cúbicos de espaço de carga disponíveis numa Master (que tem 3.733 mm de comprimento, 1.765 mm de largura e 2.048 mm de altura), assegurando simultaneamente dois espaços distintos (para além da cabina do condutor) para que o cantor não estivesse na sala de controlo. "O meu papel consistia em fazer caber um estúdio de gravação numa carrinha - um espaço fechado e limitado que não oferece a mesma liberdade que outros espaços", continua Lucas.
O seu colega Julien acrescenta: "Cada espaço tem menos de cinco metros quadrados, o que é minúsculo. Nunca tínhamos trabalhado em espaços tão pequenos. Foi necessária uma grande dose de adaptação e de conhecimentos técnicos para integrar tudo o que queríamos, tendo em conta as limitações do veículo".
Falando sobre a disposição deste espaço restrito, ele diz: "Para isolar as vozes de outros sons, a carrinha está dividida em duas secções - de um lado há uma sala de controlo, onde estão o engenheiro de som e o computador, e do outro há um amplificador vocal, que ajuda a isolar o desempenho vocal."
REQUISITOS ÚNICOS
Todos estes desafios técnicos exigiram conhecimentos especializados em vários domínios, como salienta Olivier: "Do nosso lado, 20 pessoas estiveram envolvidas na concretização deste projeto abrangente. Demos trabalho a metalúrgicos, transformadores, pintores, artistas plásticos, designers de interiores e eletricistas", que concluíram tudo em tempo recorde. "Um projeto de transformação como este demora normalmente seis meses a um ano. As nossas equipas tiveram menos de seis meses para fazer o que tinham de fazer."
As propostas ergonómicas respondem plenamente às exigências do patrocinador do Give Me 5, Youssoupha, figura incontornável do mundo do rap, e da sua equipa musical, que pretendiam um espaço prático, simples e rapidamente utilizável.
A sensação de volume e de otimização do espaço é acentuada por elementos de design únicos: cores escuras para a carroçaria, incluindo um azul profundo que estimula a imaginação, e uma mistura subtil de madeira clara e tecidos escuros quentes.
UMA COLABORAÇÃO HARMONIOSA
Todos estes desafios técnicos foram transformados em excelentes oportunidades criativas graças a uma colaboração perfeita e harmoniosa entre as equipas Renault, Pro Car e Red House. A escolha dos parceiros certos foi vital para o sucesso do projeto, que exigiu uma grande flexibilidade.
A desenvoltura demonstrada em todos os processos criativos foi fundamental para garantir que o veículo estivesse totalmente pronto em tempo recorde.
O projeto foi um sucesso retumbante, reconhecido pelos jovens que puderam gravar no camião de som, bem como por Youssoupha, cuja primeira reação quando o viu foi: "Acho que a Renault tem um toque mágico!"

“I waited two weeks for this date!” You sat down on the edge of the bed, throwing your hands in the air frustrated. “TWO WEEKS!”
“Don’t worry. It’s just a small event. I will try to return by evening, okay?” He assures, placing his hand on your shoulder. You don’t say anything, your head hanging low. He lifts your chin and holds your gaze, “I promise you, I will be back on time.” You softly nod. “Now let’s get your dress before you leave for work, huh?” A small smile makes its way to your face.
The dress he got you hangs neatly in your wardrobe-Pink in colour. You lined up other accessories, a pair of earrings and a necklace to see how they look with it. Your phone dings.
Princess, how are you? He had messaged you.
Yeah, just returned, you? You replied.
Just attending this boring event.
Looks like you’re not enjoying.
Missing you so much me reina, he sends.
I am also missing you, my bear, you texted
Btw I have made dinner for you, check in the refrigerator.
Oh. You went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. You smiled when you saw an airtight container with a sticky note attached, ‘Dinner for you, Senorita’, and a kiss emoji next to it.

You closed your phone and placed it on the nightstand. You looked around the room, taking in everything. You smiled to yourself, excited for tomorrow's date. Your hand reached for the table lamp’s switch, you turned it off and went to sleep.
The next day, you returned in the early evening to get ready.
Got the flight, will reach by 7, he had texted you few minutes before.
Have a safe journey, you texted, but the message wasn't received by the other end. ‘He is in flight, it’s obvious’, you thought. Your stomach rumbles. You placed the phone on a charger and went to eat something.
You open the refrigerator to take out the face pack you will use. The water bottles were looking at you, but you ignored them. You didn’t want to go to the washroom in between. Leave them. Half an hour later, you come out of the shower and put on your dress. You put on some music while grooming yourself. You hummed to the music looking in the mirror. You weren’t a master, so you only put on a little so that it won’t ruin your look. You applied the finishing lipstick and pouted in front of the mirror. An hour later, you got ready. You decided to open your phone. The message was still not received. You looked at the clock. It was half past seven.
Carlos, where are you??? You messaged him. ‘What happened? Has he again gone missing like on Tuesday?’ You thought.
You sat on the couch and waited, but the message wasn't even reaching him. You tried calling him several times, but the bell wasn’t ringing. You put on your flats and went outside. Maybe he wanted to surprise you. But no signs of him. It was so hot, but you were still standing. Your throat felt dry. After it became intolerable, you went inside, to the balcony instead.
Your eyes roamed all over the neighbourhood, looking for his car if it was approaching. Your body was drying up, but you seemed to ignore it. You were already tense about Carlos. He wasn’t picking up calls, and your messages weren’t reaching him. You called his parents, but they seemed to come across the same problem. He wasn’t ignoring you. The calls weren’t reaching him.
The streetlights were suddenly turned on, blinding you. Your head felt heavy. You held the railing, trying to support yourself as you sat on the floor against the balcony. You tried getting up, but your steps staggered as you slumped on the floor.

Oh God nooooo LaTeX is a scientific typesetting software, when I said niche I meant niche 😭😭
This is a Max/Daniel fic that I occasionally add to where they're both in academia... People take LaTeX really seriously, like it's cool when you start using it for stuff and then it's so flexible and nice looking that some people use it for everything, like I've received wedding invitations written using TeX (which was so cute)
You can set templates and most people I know use the same template for most things, like I still use the article template I got from someone my first year of undergrad, and the presentation template a girl from the year above me gave me during my masters etc etc
In my au, Daniel is a postdoc in the lab where Max does his undergrad capstone thesis, so they're working together a lot and they really click, like they immediately get on and really enjoy working together. It's a 10 week thing so they get quite close and Max is very obviously into Daniel and Daniel's not technically his Boss™ but he is senior and has like soft power over Max and it would be bad to date an undergrad no matter how weirdly obsessed he is with Max. BUT by the time Daniel realises all of this, they've been flirting for like 2 months and he's accidentally an asshole about it because he just switches it off and flips a switch and starts acting different around Max and it's disorienting and accidentally gaslighting and unpleasant for Max
Max has to write up a dissertation and at the start of this Daniel had shared his own template with Max, so he uses this even though he feels weird now but it reminds him of when it was better
ANYWAY Max is a really good researcher obviously and applies to a PhD in this lab, let's call it the Horner Lab, and gets funding and is excited to start and get to work with Daniel again and maybe they can get back to where they were and it can be good again and he can ask Daniel out now BUT oh no Daniel has been courted away and accepted a position in another university that seems to have a better grant, lets call it the Renault lab
Max is really disappointed at this but he did like the work too so he tries to put it out of his mind, works hard, and generally excels... He definitely bumps into Daniel at a few conferences and they slip back into their same rapport and Max loves those weeks, always tries to drop hints to Horner to send his work to conferences that might overlap with Daniel's topic... They get drunk and kiss one time in the hotel after the conference dinner but Daniel isn't in a great place, has accepted an assistant prof job in a department that he's really not clicking in and doesn't think they'll keep him on past his current contract even though it's tenure track and his work is good, let's call them, um, McLaren. And Max is doing SO WELL, like his research niche has exploded and he's been right at the cusp of some really cutting edge stuff, it's so impressive, and they only ever see each other at these events and Max is always winning poster prizes and talk awards, and Daniel doesn't feel like he can deal with this right now
Max, of course, is using Daniel's template to make every presentation and to draft every paper, and it makes him feel warm every time he creates a new file by making a new copy of the template file called "from_daniel.tex". He still has the original email Daniel sent him with the template, he emails it to his personal email just in case his institutional email ever gets deactivated. He's a bit sick of Daniel going hot and cold on him but he doesn't know why or how to fix it (Max is perhaps a bit blind to other people's career worries, especially because Daniel is still doing good work so it's not obvious from the outside what's going on). Mainly he thinks that if they got to spend more than two weeks a year together and weren't constantly surrounded by their coworkers, they might have a chance to properly talk.
Fast forward a few years, Max is a postdoc now still at the same university (bro go get some experience elsewhere, I know I know but this is for the narrative!) and Daniel comes BACK! He gets hired to fill in for someone really last minute and takes the role and it's tenure track and he's really excited about it but also really nervous about working around Max again... Especially because his last job went so badly for interpersonal reasons, not competency, so he's scared that he fucked things up with Max who is obviously the one in this lab with the clout, so if he acts cold to Daniel the rest will too. And Max is a bit absent for the first while, he also doesn't know how to act, from his perspective they kissed and Daniel ghosted him and it reminds him of their first time around working together, BUT Max fundamentally just likes Daniel so one time Daniel catches him hiding away somewhere making a presentation, and notices Max is using his template still from all those years ago, and he tries to break the ice by asking about it but Max is so tired he just straight up admits to it. They actually talk and realize that they're on the same page and they're both scared for different reasons but they both want the same thing and then they kiss about it and maybe have sex in the bathroom about it, who knows, they're academics, they're both working late
THEN they co-author a paper together and it's a brilliant piece of work that starts a partnership that they keep up forever and they get tenure track positions together at a different university and they write their wedding invitations in LaTeX using Daniel's template and they live happily ever after
