who hogs the duvet. ren does. they’re not very good at retaining their own heat, despite being able to produce fire.

who texts / rings to check how their day is going. it’s jaune in the beginning, because he doesn’t have an abysmal relationship with his phone ( that is to say, all of ren’s phones are burners up until they get something a little more substantial ) but over time, ren starts to text and check in on jaune more often.

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts. i believe that jaune is. the both of them aren’t very materialistic, and ren tends to lean towards giving, and liking more practical gifts or things which jaune has already mentioned wanting, which can’t always be considered very creative.

who gets up first in the morning. ren usually rises earlier, although i don’t think they fall into the typical description of an early bird.

who suggests new things in bed. both. usually ren. they splurge on manchester, and linens when they finally get their own apartment, and then house. ren always wants new things with down, or higher thread counts, or electric blankets. their bed is a ridiculous lap of luxury.

who cries at movies. jaune. shi mentioned something about jaune crying at inappropriate times.

who gives unprompted massages. ren. jaune is in the habit of waiting for ren to give some kind of go ahead when it comes to touching most of the time. that isn’t to say ren doesn’t enjoy jaune’s massages. he’s so much better at it, and it doubles as a rejuvinating aura transfer.

who fusses over the other when they’re sick. both. i’m inclined to say jaune because ren never, ever gets sick. it’s a once in a blue moon kind of deal.

who gets jealous easiest. ren, i think. or at least, they’re more vocal and proactive when it comes to showing their jealousy.

who has the most embarrassing taste in music. jaune.

who collects something unusual. if ren’s weird array of ingredients for their health juices count, then them.

who takes the longest to get ready. ren. they’re constantly on point, it takes time to look that gorgeous. although, they normally time it so that they’re never late.

who is the most tidy and organised. ren is a little bit of a neat freak. they like things to be neat out of convenience.

who gets most excited about the holidays. jaune. ren’s traditions were either warped, or stopped after they lost their home so holiday traditions don’t mean a lot to them. once they become an item, those holidays start to become important again.

who is the big spoon / little spoon. switch. jaune is the little spoon more often.

who gets most competitive when playing games and / or sports. ren, in most cases. it’s a case to case scenario, but ren has a hidden competitive side when it comes to games ( excluding video games. ) sometimes they tend to take the games too far.

who starts the most arguments. shi and i have tried multiple times to find something that they would argue over, and the only thing that can actually make them upset to the point of yelling and crying is when the other one puts themselves in danger, especially if it was to take a hit for the other one. it’s equal in this regard.

who suggests that they buy a pet. they less buy pets and instead “ take care of strays until they’re better and then we can find them a nice home — oops i’ve named them, they’re part of the family now. ”

what couple traditions they have. the night before one of them attends a solo mission, they tend to make a blanket fort in the living room and just snuggle while watching movies. sometimes they count each other’s scars to make sure there aren’t new ones when they come back. ren tends to give jaune a haircut before he leaves.

what tv shows they watch together. live puppy dog streams.

what other couple they hang out with. —

how they spend time together as a couple. they nap together, a lot. they spend a lot of time out in the field, so their home is decked out with places to just relax and unwind. they have a hammock, and a sitting area in the backyard. they have a home cinema in the living room, with all the components necessary to make a blanket fort. they probably get a hot tub at one point, tbh, and just drain it when they’re going on missions.

who made the first move. jaune was the one who confessed “i’m falling for you” but given the circumstances, ren thought that he was joking. ren was the one who kissed jaune first.

who brings flowers home. jaune does so more. he’s a sap, ren loves him for it. sometimes they have bees in them though.

who is the best cook. ren is more ambitious when it comes to cooking. they have more expertise culinary knowledge but when it comes to meals that make you feel good, the home cooked kind that you know is made with love, and tbh, the kind of meal that ren prefers over their fancy restaurant grade recipes, then it’s jaune.
