Do you remember when Eddie got shot (I mean I know you do because how can anyone forget it’s like engrained in our memory forever lmao) but when he got shot, there was trends and talk on Twitter of people being like ‘damn they rly shot that gay firefighter?’ lol but also even before the shooting, I remember seeing tweets of people being like ‘I want what those two gay firefighters have. They are so cute together’ and I’ve seen people talk like that on here, too. Realistically, how do you think Buck AND Eddie would react if they saw these tweets and posts calling them ‘those two gay firefighters?’ 😂😳🤭 I feel like Eddie’s heart would drop and he’d be like wait... why are these people talking about us? They KNOW? (About my love for Buck). How do they know?! Not realizing that everyone with eyes can see how much he loves Buck. And I think Buck would be like huh. That’s funny. *doesn’t deny being in love with Eddie and is actually flattered people think they’re cute together*

I wholeheartedly think eddie would be like "damn. that's wild" externally while internally he feels like his heart is abt to fall out of his ass. hen's like "eddie isn't this soooo funny" trying to get a reaction out of him and he's like "yeah. no idea where the idea came frome tho lol" meanwhile his hearts going three thousand miles an hour in his chest and he's trying not to start sweating on the spot. he freaks out abt being obvious for a couple days before going "wait but they think buck is on love with me too. wait." and thinks abt THAT for a few days instead and watches buck like a hawk the entire time trying to figure out if they're right

bucks like "awww that's so sweet :)" bc to him it is genuinely sweet that people think he could land eddie and also it evokes its fair share of pining. he's like "if only those people were right *wistful sigh*" for a good two weeks before he realizes eddie's been staring at him a LOT in the past few days but he doesn't know why and he doesn't know how to broach the topic so. he just waits until one night, they're at eddie's house, chris asleep in bed, and eddies staring at him again. and so he just asks eddie "why have you been staring at me so much the past week and a half?" and eddie gapes like a fish for a couple seconds before going "are you in love with me?" and bucks eyes go wide and his face goes red before eddie continues with "because I'm in love with you and I want to know if the internet people were right abt both of us"

and now bucks heads spinning bc eddie just said he was in love with him, he has GOT to be hallucinating, but eddie clearly takes his silence and no doubt dazed expression as a negative bc he starts to visibly shut down and buck's like "oh my god I'm NOT hallucinating" and goes "wait, I'm in love with you too" and eddie face breaks into a grin and god, he looks beautiful this way buck thinks. eddie goes "oh. good. I'm gonna kiss you now" and bucks soooo ready for that. and then there they are, kissing on eddie's couch at eleven pm on a Wednesday, bc the internet ships them
