It had been many years since Fenrir truly suffered after a full moon. Embracing his wolfish side completely, and taking control of his pack, had made Fenrir stronger than ever. He could wake up from a full moon and go straight to work (after a long shower), and he knew that this made him better than the humans who were stuck in their body - and the werewolves that resisted their true natures. One such werewolf, young Remus Lupin, had been resisting Fenrir for years and yet still, the older man persevered. He believed that Remus would come to understand what he truly was, and realise that being part of a true pack would strengthen him. The full moon had been two days prior, and as he began making his way through Diagon Alley to work, he spotted Remus who looked rather pallid.

Pausing, Fenrir grasped the younger man's shoulder and pulled him aside. "You aren't looking so well, Lupin. Difficult night last night?"

Remus Lupin. One of the four young guys that had caused quite some trouble when Rosmerta had started working at the Three Broomsticks years ago. Although she knew that it was mostly Black and Potter who were causing the trouble mostly. Lupin seemed to be the responsible one out of the four. She placed the drink in front of him that he had ordered and looked at him. “It must have been quite some time since I saw you last here in Hogsmeade. I hope you’ve been staying out of trouble since leaving Hogwarts.”

When: Early Morning Where: 12 Grimmauld Place, Kitchen Who: Regulus & @woofhaunted

Regulus had heard an unusual amount of movement throughout the evening while he was trying to sleep. He did still spend most of his days within the walls of 12 Grimmauld Place, but he wasn't about to let his sleep schedule take a toll simply because he was in the house. He still woke up earlier than most, and was always the first to bed, no matter how many people were around. Of course he'd allow himself to sleep in or stay up late on occasion, but Regulus liked his sleep. So when he was woken up in the middle of the night from laughter and the sounds of furniture being scraped across the expensive floorboards, he was not impressed.

He wandered downstairs and into the kitchen, not expecting to see anybody, but especially not Remus Lupin sitting at the table. Regulus sighed, rubbing his eyes and running a hand through his hair as he made his way over to the already prepared coffee. "You must be the reason I was disturbed in the middle of the night. Don't you have your own place to live?" He asked, not with any ill-intentions, though he was aware he sounded snappier than usual before having his morning coffee.

People were surprised to find out when Daisy and Remus started dating all those months ago. They seemed like a pair of opposites. Remus was very secretive and Daisy put everything on the table. Daisy was super outgoing while Remus was more reserved and held close to only his close circle. Why would they be together? Answer: there was attraction. It was a physical attraction but, moreover, they respected each other and there was an attraction to who they were as people.

They had a lot of fun together and tender moments. Daisy loved the attention he gave her and always hoped he loved how she doted upon him. Daisy was enamored by who he was as a person. She could learn a thing or two from him and she did. But as time went on some things began to shift. His life became even more secretive. Daisy would ask questions around the same time each month -- even if they were only together four months. Suddenly Remus put the brakes on their relationship and ran leaving Daisy in the dust. She was hurt. Her heart broke and her brain couldn't understand what he could hide from her that she couldn't handle. She spent nights crying. She and Remus didn't have enough time together -- that's probably what hurt the most. She expected more and got less.

The past three months had been a healing process but she was getting better. Her heart still ached when people talked about him, but she was open to creating new relationships as long as they were slow. Daisy didn't think she could handle something intense right away but knew she had to move on.

One morning before work Daisy stopped in to Rosa Lee Teabag's for a tea and croissant to start her day. All of a sudden she heard a familiar voice and her stomach dropped. It was Remus. She wasn't sure if she should turn around but she couldn't stop herself. As she waited for her tea she turned slowly and saw him standing there.

All she could do was blink and choked out an inaudible, "Hi."

Daisy's house wasn't overly large, and yet the pair of them had gotten separated quite quickly as guests started arriving. It wasn't an issue, everybody that was attending was a friend, and he could always go and find her whenever he wanted to. He figured he'd let her have some time to herself, and decided to roll a joint. He'd been rolling for years now and was able to make a perfect joint in a matter of seconds. Looking around, Tilden spotted Remus sitting on the sofa, and he plopped himself down beside him. "Hey Remus!" He greeted, throwing his arm around the other's shoulders, "Are you enjoying yourself? Gonna smoke a joint with me?" @woofhaunted

“charmingly  blunt--i  will  have  to  borrow  that  description  for  myself  sometime,”  remus  mused,  only  half  joking  as  he  offered  his  arm  out  to  hook  it  with  sera's  and  offered  a  quiet  whisper  in  return.  “what  kind  of  gentleman  would  i  be  if  i  left  a  lady  to  walk  with  such  a  boring  companion?”  while  gentlemanly  wasn't  always  the  best  word  to  describe  remus,  he  was  certainly  not  going  to  act  a  fool  around  sera--nor  leave  the  lady  to  suffer  poor  conversation.  leaning  from  her  ear,  remus  took  it  upon  himself  to  start  their  walk  back  to  the  castle,  briefly  casting  a  glace  at  the  guard  before  leaning  in  once  more.  “i  could  lend  you  one  of  my  family's  guards  if  you  would  like.  i  promise  they  are  much  more  interesting  to  speak  with,”  he  offered,  a  grin  pulling  at  his  lips  as  he  kept  his  pace  slow  and  leisurely.  “or  yours  could  mysteriously  vanish,  requiring  a  replacement  immediately.”

The maiden shakes her head as she tries to stop her laughter at his feigned shock, but fails miserably. "cruel is such a harsh word, i prefer charmingly blunt," she retorts with a feigned innocence, but he knew her too well to know that behind the delicate façade of a lady laid a silver tongue ready to retort and any turn. "then i suppose is a blessing you shall never have to be without my helping hand," her eyes soften, a part of her missed the days of her service along him, the prince and the rest of their squad. "my lips will be sealed," she moves her fingers along her mouth gesturing a locking with a key. "all the praise, you did marvelously my dear friend," she says with a cheeky laugh, clasping her hands behind her back as she watches the lantern float away with the same longing she had her own and plenty of others for as long as she could recall. "now how about you walk me back to the palace? you're far better company than my guard," she glances apologetically to the man who hardly uttered a word, "he's as chatty as a tree trunk." she leans in to whisper for only his ears as she links her arm in his.

when I started shipping it if I did: Like 20 years ago, they were one of my first HP ships alongside Sirry (I read so much on HP Literotica back then, lol). They were also my first incest and the first HP ship I finally wrote this year, so, nostalgia.

my thoughts: These two are everything that makes a brother ship so fucking delicious (granted, I wouldn’t turn down a wider age gap, but the closeness in age does have its perks). Shared childhood trauma, pureblood expectations, all the forces of the universe working to drive them apart. There is so much juicy innate conflict, from their personalities to their sortings to their ideologies. Sirius is brash where Reggie is subdued. Sirius fights where Regulus cowers. Sirius rebels, Regulus obeys. That said, I do enjoy more aggressive/assertive characterizations of Reg, too. But I think his betrayal of Voldemort was probably the first time he broke away from his parents’ ideals / thought for himself and was brave enough to act on it, and the fact that Sirius wasn’t there to see it is just devastating. He would’ve been so proud.

What makes me happy about them: I see them very close and very sheltered growing up, so for all Sirius’ curated rebellion, he and Reg share a lot of similarities. They’ve got that sort of ride-or-die bond but in a toxic way, like neither of them experienced love so they’re sorta building the plane (or in this case broom) as they’re flying it? I think they’d see possession as love, and it may not be healthy but it makes for some damn delicious shipping. They share a sense of humor, too, no matter how serious Reggie pretends to be.

What makes me sad about them: ESTRANGEMENT, BETRAYAL, PRISON, DEATH.

things I look for in fanfic: I think this post pretty well covers it! I love jealousy between them, I love protective Sirius, I love Reg feeling replaced by James, I love the unbreakable bond and (as with all incest ships) both being ashamed of their feelings to the point it almost destroys them before they finally explode and admit to each other. On a lighter note, I also think they have like, Drarry-level banter potential, which is why I especially enjoy them from a humorous angle.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I’ll give one to the Jegulus shippers. :P Honestly, there’s no one I can plausibly imagine Reg ending up with, but Sirius of course goes to Harry, or before him, Remus. Much as I love Prongsfoot, fate does not.

My happily ever after for them: They don’t have one. :( I suppose you could operate under the premise that Reg never died but went into hiding (or was trapped somewhere all those years), and when he comes back, they reconcile. But it would have to be Starcest/Harry OT3 because, well, it’s me.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Same answer as here. ^_^

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: I think they’d play (“play” being a generous term) the most vicious pickup Quidditch. I imagine them playing music together, I think they were raised with the classics and maybe Sirius teaches him guitar later on. And I bet they like to gossip, but like, in French. Leftover childhood habit. There was a post about it once and it became my new HC, like they’ll just sit in the common room aggressively going off in French and onlookers think they’re having some sort of heated intellectual debate but really it’s just did you fucking see Abbott’s new haircut?! Who gave the giant squid a pair of scissors?

Most people had a purpose; in life, with the paths they took. There was always a good reason for things, something to give meaning to it all. Leta had found her purpose in the art of design, dress making and thus, ever since, no step had been taken without reason. Even walks had a purpose, relaxation as much a part of things as this. That day she was simply hurrying back home, wanting to pick something up from Knockturn Alley for her brother when instead colliding with a body standing around as though waiting for something.

A huff, the frustration evident within that tiny noise as she spun around to look at whoever it had been to block the road. Gone was the thought that perhaps she had not paid much mind to her surroundings either. While she felt there had to be a purpose in everything, her surroundings, unless interesting, served no purpose. “Thank you.” It came out, automatically almost before her eyes registered the person in front of her. “Why are you standing around as idle as a doorknob, exactly? It had been a long day at the bookshop. It felt like time had inched by. Normally Remus wouldn't mind because he could entertain himself but there was something about the day that made him ready to leave, although he didn't want to go out into the freezing cold.

He finally was able to close up the store. As he turned around to lock the door it suddenly started snowing. He spun slowly and snowflakes stuck to his eyelashes. He closed his eyes and smiled. It was then that he felt someone run into him. His eyes opened quickly and he reached forward to grab the person. "Careful there!"

hii! i'm so sorry for not getting to this sooner but here it is,,

when i started shipping it if i did: i'm also so sorry for disappointing you, but i don't really ship moonwater, there are a few instances where i can actually enjoy them, but those phases come and go to me and it's honestly not very often, but,,

what makes me happy about them: i think they can be such a little pieces of sarcastic shits together, the way they mock and judge others around them, esp sirius and james always cracks me up

what makes me sad about them: hmm, i don't know really since i don't think about them that often, but i guess they both have a sad backstories, and that's fucked up, but also heyyy, they can bond over it, right? right???

things done in fanfic that annoys me: it's very hard for a fic that i like to annoy me, if i'm reading something that means i actually like it, so you can't mess it up even if you wanted to. i can fuck with a lot of things tbh, but i have a preference where i like reg and remus meeting for the first time through james or sirius, and then becoming friends, or even something more. it's much more interesting to me that way, than them being friends before james or sirius, if you get what i'm saying? but i don't mind it either way

things i look for in fanfic: if i'm reading moonwater, it's always always fluff rather than anything else, they are sosososo sweet and soft to me compared to let's say jegulus or wolfstar. moonwater aftercare hits different!!!!!!

when he laid out the two options like that, wandering around london honestly didn’t sound too bad. they were in a relatively safe area, though it wouldn't do to grow too comfortable. neither of them exactly fit the friendly category for voldemort’s followers, so they had to tread carefully. " define appealing, " he muttered, a touch of doubt creeping into his voice. it wasn’t as if he could start recounting old stories about his four friends... could he? well, it was something he’d have to consider. he took a slow sip from his beer, his gaze flickering with mild concentration as he listened. the conversation felt oddly familiar, despite being one of his least favourite topics. " you really do hate me, don’t you? " he said with a grin, before dropping the joke. " you know i’d wear one of those ridiculous foam fingers if you asked me to. " and he would. he’d also walk with her to the quidditch pitch to listen to her talk about things he’d never quite grasp, and yet, it didn’t bother him in the slightest. remus wasn’t one for half-measures in friendship—he preferred to love people for all of who they were, even the bits that didn’t quite fit with him. " i’d be more than happy to listen to all that nonsense... in our next meeting, " he added, his voice carrying a playful lilt. he always enjoyed dressing up his fondness for others with a bit of gentle irony. " deep cuts? " he inquired after taking another sip and processing what she had said. oh. he had stories that would certainly satisfy her curiosity, but they all came with a touch of secrecy—stories shared between the marauders, and a few that ventured into decidedly questionable territory. " the really good stories are from james and sirius. i don’t know if i know all of them—pretty sure more than a few are still their little secret, " he said, resting his elbow on the table and leaning his chin into his hand. " but... i know a few things, " he continued, his tone taking on a more conspiratorial edge. he paused for another drink. he wasn’t drunk, not even a bit, so he wasn’t sure why his next words slipped out quite so easily.
