A Sleeping Beauty(Husband!/Prince!Shoto Todoroki x Wife!/Aurora!Reader)(Royal/Sleeping Beauty AU)
A.N: I hope you will like this scenario and I had fun writing it :D I will probably do more Disney stories like this with other characters and have fun reading! :)
If I made a mistake feel free to tell me! :)
Genre:Fluff
Warnings: Female pronouns(She/Her)
Story Used:"Sleeping Beauty" Disney adaptation
"Daddy! It's time for my bed time story!",your 4 years old kid yells(You can choose a girl,a boy or a non-binary kid).
"I'm coming princess/prince/royal",your husband Shoto responds while smiling at you both's creation.
He thanks you everyday for giving him the most beautiful gift you could have given him, a child of his own.
He goes sit on the bed of his kid and he sees your down expression on your face while you pass in the hallway.
You have been feeling down lately because of work, but you didn't want to show it to your family, but Shoto knows you too well and saw that you were down. An idea pops in his head at this moment.
"Hey Honey? Would like to come listen to the story with us. The one of today is special.", you smile at him
"Of course. I'll go get a blanket and I'm coming."
You then get back with the big blanket and put it on you, Shoto and your kid.
"So, you said that today's story was special?",you look at your husband.
"Yes. I took a story and changed it a bit at my manner."
"I'm excited to see", said your kid with a big grin on their face.
"Ok, so here it is":
Once upon a time, in the Kingdom of (Your Country), was born a beautiful princess named Y/N L/N.
"Just like mommy!", said your kid while cutting Shoto's story.
"Yes just like Mommy, and she was just as beautiful as your mother."
You knew where this was going and a smile popped on your face at his actions.
For the birth of the princess, their parents has organized a big event where all the kingdom and the Kingdom of the king Enji who had just gotten a fourth kid nammed Shoto, was invited. The parents(I made it so it works if you have two moms or two dads), had invited three fairies and they each would give the princess a gift. The first one, Katsuki, gave the princess the gift of beauty. The second one, Tenya, gave the princess the gift of a beautiful voice.
"For now the story works with mommy's description"
"You think so",said Shoto
"Yeah! Mommy is very beautiful and she has a pretty voice when she sings"
"You don't have to say all that",you respond while blushing a bit
"Also the prince has the same name as you daddy"
"Yeah. Imagine the princess and the prince ends up together like me and mommy."
"It would be so cute!"
"Before you continue, does the fairies has the same names as uncle Kacchan and uncle Iida?"
'Yeah, and the third one's name is Izuku just like uncle Midoriya"
"Ohhhhh you can continue"
Shoto continues:
When it was the turn of the third fairy,Izuku, a big amount of smoke appeared. It was the shapeshifter witch Himiko Toga.
"No one invited me to the party? How sad. Well I guess I can also give something to the little girl now that I'm here."
"No! You won't touch her and get her blood you crazy witch!"
"Oh come on! You know I have something better. You didn't invite to the celebration when you know I love parties. You know what? I'm gonna give the princess a gift! She will pick her finger on a spinning wheel on her sixteenth birthday and die!"
"NO!", yelled your parents
Himiko then disapeared in a cloud of smoke. The third fairy hasn't given her gift yet. He decides to give her the gift that instead of dying, she will fall into a deep slumber until someone gives her a true love kiss. The parents of the girl orders that all spinning wheels of the kingdom must be burned and the parents decides to let their daughter live with the fairies in a cottage in the forest.
Many years later, the princess turns into a beautiful and wonderful woman. She doesn't know her parents are the royal family and she thinks she's just a peseant and that Katsuki,Tenya and Izuku educated her after her parents died. It is now Y/N's sixteeth birthday and the fairies wants to organize her a surprise party.
"Y/N? Could you please go gather berries for the dessert tonight?", said Tenya.
"Of course! I'll be back later!"
"And don't forget not talk to strangers!",reminded Katsuki
Y/N left the house and went to go gather the berries in the forest. The girl then decided to go by the river a little while. The animals then gather aroud her. She always had a good relationship with animals and she taught they could understand her.
Meanwhile, the prince Shoto, who has also become a handsome young man, was out with his horse and heard the voice of the girl. He got struck by the beauty of her voice he wanted to know who she was. He tried to follow the voice but on his way, he fell into a pound.
On the side of the river, Y/N is talking with animals about the fact that her godfathers stills treats her like she's a child and she wishes she could meet someone. She then tells them she met someone "Once Upon A Dream". While she tells her dream about her walking with a prince, some of the animals finds the cape, the boots and the hat of the prince and takes them.
(At this part you can listen to the song "Once Upon A Dream" to be more in the ambiance ;) )
The animals acts as the prince of Y/N's dream and dance with her. She is getting directly in the scene and dances with them while pretending she's talking to the prince from her dream. Then at a moment, the real prince Shoto starts to sing. She's surprised at first and tries to go away because he's a stranger. He then tells her: "Don't you remember? You said it yourself, we already met, "Once Upon A Dream"".he then starts to sing again. The princess then gets confidence in him and dances with him like this.
Shoto makes you stand up and puts his hand on your waist. He makes you sway in his arms to slow dance just like the prince with the princess in the story. He starts to sing the song and you get along with it. You both are twirling in your kid's room and having a romantic moment like you never had. Your kid looks at the both of you with amazed eyes and claps at the end of your performance.
"Let's go back to the story shall we?",Shoto says after you both sat down again on the bed.
Y/N invites the young man to meet her godfathers at dinner and he accepts. Meanwhile, at the cottage, the fairies had some trouble to organize the party so they decided to use their magic.
"HUH?! Why the hell would you want to make the dress Blue?! It would obviously be better in Pink!(I can't belive I wrote that haha)",said Katsuki
"Kacchan I was just proposing an idea, but I think that the Blue would be better on Y/N",responded Izuku
"Hell nah! I have way better fashion sense than you damn nerd! She would be so much better in Pink!"
While they were arguying, Tenya was trying to make a cake with no big succes the normal way. With magic, it gave a better result and it looked so delicious. Unfortunately, all the magic that Katsuki, Tenya and Izuku were making was leaving traces and it caught the attention of Himiko's sidekick, Dabi. He hides behind the house and Y/N arrives back home. She tells her godfathers that she has fallen in love, but they don't know it's the prince. They tell her that she's the princess and that she's already engaged to the prince Shoto and they will bring her back to the castle tonight. She goes in her room crying because won't be able to be with the stranger she fell in love with.
Dabi overheard the conversation and went to tell Himiko that the princess would be at the castle tonight.
Meanwhile, the prince tells his father he wants to marry a peseant, which the king Enji is not pleased about.
"SHOTOOO! YOU CAN'T MARRY A PESEANT! YOU'RE ENGAGED TO THE PRINCESS Y/N!"
Shoto didn't care about his father and would go to the dinner at the cottage tonight anyways.
Y/N gets all dressed and ready for her birthday celebration and be with her parents again, but then a glow apears in the room. She follows it by curiosity. The fairies then also see the glow when they come to go get Y/N and try to go as fast as they can to stop her. Unfortunately, they came too late and the beautiful princess was on the floor. Himiko laughs at her victory:
"Hahahaa! I did it! The princess is dead and you came too late!", she disapears and the fairies put the princess in a bed in the highest tower of the castle. They put all the people from the castle in a deep slumber just like Y/N. Before they fell asleep, the king Enji and the parents of Y/N were talking and the fairies understand that the man Y/N fell in love with was the prince. When they go back to the cottage, they realize the prince has already been taken to Himiko's hideout.
"So....", Himiko shows to Shoto his princess in a deep slumber.
"Would you look at that. The beautiful princess you fell in love with has been put in a deep slumber. I think I should let her like this until you become old and raged while she didn't age a bit and you won't be together."
"NO!", Shoto yells.
Y/N was one of the only person Shoto trusted and wanted to be with forever and he was gonna lost her. When Himiko leaves the prince alone, the fairies rescue him and give him a sword and a shield to fight the witch.
Himiko tries to stop Shoto to go in the castle by putting thorns around it, but without succes for her, because the prince breaks them in a sway of his sword. She turns into a big dragon to confront him and the prince fights her furiously. At a moment, he throws the sword into her heart to kill her(I'm sorry TwT I love Toga I didn't want to kill her but it's for the sake of the story TwT).
The prince goes up to the highest tower of the castle and finds his beautiful princess on the bed. He goes closer to her to kiss her on the lips. She wakes up and sees her love smiling at her. They go together in the ballroom and Y/N's parents are glad to see her again after all those years. They all go in a hug and Y/N goes back to her prince and they dance together. While they dance, Katsuki and Izuku are still fighting over the color of the dress.
"I told you Pink, you damn nerd!"
"-_- You know what at this point I won't even try Kacchan."
They then got married a few months later and got many beautiful/handsome childrens.
The end.
"Wow! They ended up together just like you two! It's so cool!", your kid says didn't realizing it was you two all along.
Thanks to Shoto, your sad expression of earlier was long gone.
"It was a beautiful story Sho", you say smiling at him
"I'm glad you both liked it", Shoto responds.
Your kid yawns and you tug them in their bed.
"Goodnight my baby",you say to them.
"Goodnight mommy and daddy,I love you"
"Goodnight", you both say to them.
You peek throught the door to see that they are already asleep.
"So.... Many kids huh?", you say smirking a bit at him.
He also smirks at you and says:"I mean I wouldn't mind giving them a sibling.", he goes closer to you to kiss you on the lips and then rub your arms.
"Would you like to?", he says.
"I wouldn't mind either. You want to start now?", you respond.
He responds to you by smirking.
It's gonna be a long night... ;)
A.N: I hope you enjoyed this story. I had fun writing it and I will probably do more scenarios like this with other characters and stories :)
Have a nice day or night and remember to take care of yourselves! <3 (I'm on my period right now so I try to take care of myself TwT)
You are beautiful and loved! <3
See you soon!

My little girl
Bucky Barnes Fluffy Drabble
Written for an anon sent in to @the-ss-horniest-book-club
Warnings- fluff with fluff on top, will hit you in the feels maybe
Written on mobile so any mistakes are my own, comments and reblogs appreciated 💕
For the first time in 80 years Bucky was safe. A roof over his head, friends… no, family all around him, a place he could call home. But for whatever the reason, he couldn’t sleep. He was going on probably 4 days now. He had moved his bed, changed his sheets, tried the tea and meditation Wanda recommended, nothing. After and hour tossing and turning he grabbed a blank and walked out to the common room. Tony spared no expense on making sure the compound was perfects the common room was no exception, i huge flatscreen that could be in a small movie theater somewhere, couches that felt like a cloud ,anything someone could need.
Throwing the blanket down on the couch he put on Netflix something random the spider kid had recommended, and layed down.
He closed his eyes and drifted off, reminding himself before dozing off to ask Tony where he got this couch.
He wasn’t sure how long it had been when he heard footsteps approaching . He shot up hand going to his hip where he usually holstered a weapon only to find he had nothing…. and was face to face with a child.
The girl couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 "msowwy." She sounded so tiny, and she was. Her huge brown eyes looked up at him before digging into the pocket of her overalls. “Can you wanna cowwer?” She grinned and held up a large pack of Crayons.
“Uh sure” Bucky looked around, not knowing there were kids on the compound other than Morgan and Peter.
He crossed his legs as he sat on the floor by the coffee table, the girl pulling out several coloring pages from the single overall pocket*. Bucky unfolded one of a cat and began coloring. The little girl began to speak. “I want a kitty” her eyes not leaving her paper as she turned an animated bullfrog pink. “So you should get one” he picked up the brown crayon and colored in the tail of the cat, feeling an odd sense of calm wash over him. “I wanna, but mommy says I can’t until I’m this many” the child held up all ten fingerstgen counted out loud “I like your arm, it’s pretty” the child smiled and continued on. The frog was now pink with blue spots. “Well thank you, where is your mom by the way” Figuring he’d ask before the subject changed, he was to late. “If I had an arm like that I would put stickers on it, do you like stickers? I have at least 10 million that are all different kinds, wanna see?”
Bucky smiled feeling more relaxed than he ever had. “I do like stickers, and I would love to see…” before he could finish a beautiful sticker a Disney princess was pulled from the child’s overalls and carefully placed on his forearm. “That’s Moana, she’s my favorite, mommy knows all the songs. Wow! I like your kitty!” The little girl picked up the page and hugged it. “Thank you for the sticker kiddo, how about I make a hot chocolate for you then we find your mom okay? You can have hot chocolate right?”
The little girl nodded excitedly taking his hand and the pictures they had worked on and tugging him to the kitchen.
Bucky had just finished adding extra marshmallows to hot cocoa, when he heard a voice "babe what did I tell you about running off without me?" the voice is meant to be scolding the girl but it's soft. He looked over to see the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. The kid was cute, but she was breathtaking. “Oh mommy, this is my new best friend see?” The girl led her mother over to him. He held out his hand showing off his fancy sticker “Hi, I’m James Barnes, sorry if she can’t have hot chocolate I just figured… uh she said it was fine, but she’s a kid so, I’m sorry”
The woman laughed “it’s totally fine, she can have hot chocolate, I see she gave you a sticker” she smiled. “You should consider yourself lucky James, she doesn’t give stickers away easily.”
“Oh yeah? I’m sure she must have given you at least a few of her 10 million.” The little girl smiled up at him.
“Oh yeah my phone had 5 on the case and I believe our fridge at home has several.. along with someone wall…” the woman looked down at her daughter who decided it was a perfect time to look anywhere else. “Oh my gosh I haven’t even told you my name, I’m Y/N and this tiny trouble maker is Milena”
Bucky smiled at the name “Ah Milena, Loved by the people, gracious, dear one”
Y/N smiled “I didn’t peg you for a Russian mr.Barnes”
“Nor I, you doll, but I’m not Russian I just have a history there I suppose” he smirked and stuck his tongue out at Milena who was doing the same to him.
“Well,” Y/N smiles, placing her hand on her daughter's head “I could use some breakfast, how about you?” She looked at Bucky who nodded, though the little girl answered “only if we can bring my friend” she ran over grabbing his hand
The three walking out of the kitchen together smiling.
—————-
It was Bucky's birthday, he wasn’t really sure how old he was but he knew that this was the eleventh year he was celebrating it.
Y/N and Milena had spent the whole day making it special.
He was so grateful for the little girl who helped him put his life back together. 2 years after meeting Y/N they started dating and after 4 they were married. He treated Milena like his own little girl, showering her with toys and love and anything she could possibly want.
As they all sat down for dinner he looked at the girl he considered his daughter, bouncing with anticipation. Milena looked between Bucky and her mother over and over before blurting out “can I please give it to him now”
Y/N smiled “go ahead honey”
Milena ran out of the dining room returning with a bag and a box. Placing it in front of him “you have to open the bag first”
Bucky smiled, carefully pulling out the tissue paper, inside the bag was a small wooden frame. Inside was a picture from years ago, he was sitting on the floor with his eyes closed and a face full of makeup. His hair was poorly braided and Milena was standing proudly placing a crown on his head.
The frame had a quote on it
Family isn’t defined by last names and blood
It’s defined by commitment and Love
That alone almost brought Bucky to tears but before he could say anything Milena spoke up again “open the box dad, please”
He signed and opened the box, on top was a letter.
For 10 years you’ve been my father. And now if you want to mom and I agree we should make it official. Love you dad ~Milly
Bucky moved the letter and found adoption papers. Already signed by Y/N, all he had to do was sign a few lines.
“I figured it was a good gift before you get to old” Milena hugged Him, tears rolled down his face.
When he had fallen off that train he had lost everything, and for the first time since finding Steve again, Bucky had found his family.
*Authors note if you have ever been around children or have children you know that they can fit so many things in their pockets, this is not a stretch.

Rebuilding Family
Summary: Y/N and Spencer were college sweethearts at Cal-Tech but once Spencer got accepted to the FBI Academy, he ended things deciding it was not fair to make Y/N wait for him. When they meet again years later, he discovers something unexpected.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Warnings: brief mentions of alcohol consumption, allusions to sex
A/N: so you know how last chapter i said there was going to be like 4 chapters left…sorry i lied. as much as it pains me to admit since i’m so attached to this little family, i feel this story is coming to its natural end and i don’t want to drag it out (i may do one-shots of this series in the future though!) that being said, this is the second to last chapter. i appreciate all of your continued support throughout this series <3
Masterlist
Chapter 36
You opened the front door to the house after your therapy appointment. You had been making a lot of progress.
Spencer and the kids used to go with you and then wait at the park across the street until you were done but you had decided that this time you could go alone. Spencer hugged you tightly before you left and said how proud of you he was, reminding you of your calming exercises for the waiting room, and to call him if you got too overwhelmed. Luckily, your anxiety had not gotten the better of you and your appointment went fine.
You could hear the opening notes to Golden by Harry Styles playing. Once the beat dropped, you heard Spencer say, “Okay, go babies, go!”
You rounded the corner to see Spencer conducting a dance party for the twins in their bouncy jumpers and Jo who was wearing her Rapunzel dress.
“Ollie,” Spencer crouched down to the rather stationary baby, “Look at your sisters! See, copy them! We’ll all bounce.”
While Ophelia was very audible and energetic, Ollie was more reserved. This concerned you and Spencer a bit because he would hardly cry and you had no idea what was going on with him or if he needed anything.
As Spencer backed up to start dancing as well, you pulled out your phone and hit record just in time to see Spencer accidentally bounce into the couch and trip and fall flat on his face.
Ollie giggled. Spencer shot up from the ground. Ollie had never done that before. Ophelia’s first laugh was a few weeks ago but nothing seemed to be funny enough for Ollie until his Daddy fell.
Spencer scrambled to get his phone, “Jo, can you record for Mommy? I’m going to fall again.”
You decided this was the time to make your presence known.
“That won’t be necessary,” you announced with a smile, ending the video you took.
“You heard?” Spencer beamed.
“Yep, got it on video too,” you walked over to the jumpers and lifted up Ollie, giving him a bunch of kisses, “You were really going to hurt yourself again just so I could have a video of our son laughing?”
“Absolutely, I was,” he grinned.
“You’re an idiot,” you chuckled.
“You’re the one who fell in love with an idiot,” he replied.
“I guess that makes us both idiots then,” you sighed happily.
“But idiots in love,” he kissed you.
You blew a raspberry and tickled Ollie’s little belly and he started giggling hysterically again.
-
Spencer was with twins on the floor on a blanket doing some ‘tummy time’ while Jo sat on the couch watching cartoons.
“Why can’t me and the babies come with you and Mommy for dinner like we usually do?” Jo asked.
“Because a year ago today, Mommy and I got married so we want to go out to a fancy restaurant and celebrate our love for each other. But, we’ll go out together as a family soon again and Uncle Derek and Auntie Penelope will be watching you tonight.”
“Okay,” Jo instantly agreed.
You clicked down the stairs in your high heels, carefully holding the railing. Spencer stood to help and offered his hand to you for support.
You were dressed in a midi A-line black corset dress with a white floral design.
“You look absolutely stunning as usual, my love,” he kissed your hand.
“As do you, my husband of officially a year,” you beamed.
He kissed you on the lips this time as the door opened.
“Kids night!” Penelope exclaimed, running into the house with Derek in tow. “I brought board games, ice cream, and every Disney movie DVD I own.”
“Auntie Penelope!” Jo hugged her and then Derek.
Then, Penelope turned to you both, “What are you guys still doing here?”
“Emergency numbers are on the fridge. We’ll both have our phones on the whole time,” you repeated the information you had told them many times before as you were pushed out the door by Penelope.
“Oh, also recent development!” Spencer added as he tried to resist Derek’s pushing, “The twins are avid crawlers now so if you set them down for a second and look away, they’ll be gone.”
“Good to know. Enjoy your night, you two,” Derek winked as he shut the door.
“So where are we going?” you asked as you walked hand and hand to the car.
Spencer opened the passenger side door for you, “We are going to the restaurant where we had our first date, my dear,” he smiled.
-
Spencer had rented a private patio for the two of you with lit candles, fairy lights, and a bouquet of wildflowers similar to the one you carried down the aisle a year ago.
You gasped when you saw the set-up, “I love you so much, Spencer Reid.”
“I love you more, Mrs. Reid.”
You and Spencer ordered the exact same dishes that you got on your first date for maximum nostalgia.
“There is something I wanted to talk to you about,” Spencer spoke mid-meal.
You set your fork down to show him he had your full attention.
“So I was thinking about what I want to do this summer. You’re off of work for the summer so we’ll both be home with the kids. I figured I should take up some sort of project to keep my mind stimulated,” he explained.
“Go on...” you took a sip of your wine.
“I think I want to become an author,” he stated.
“I think that’s a wonderful idea. Any idea what genre?” you smiled softly.
“At first, I was thinking about something related to my time at the BAU but then I realized I’ve had enough of that as is and I don’t feel like reliving it. Now, I’m thinking more along the lines of fiction because during all my years of schooling, I never really got to explore my creative side. I think a kid’s book could be fun for me to write. And I could work on it whenever the kids were napping or at school,” he explained to you.
“Whatever makes you happy, love. I can’t wait to read what that beautiful brain of yours comes up with,” you grinned, “This also makes my gift for you even better.”
“Y/N, we agreed no gifts,” he rolled his eyes playfully.
“It’s just something small that made me think of you,” you pouted, reaching into your purse.
You handed him something wrapped in a thin layer of pale purple tissue paper. Inside was a beautiful leather journal. It had a quote inscribed on it.
‘Do not be afraid; our fate cannot be taken away from us; it is a gift’ -Dante Alighieri
“You just saw this and happened to think of me?” he asked, amused, “How is it customized with our initials and wedding date then?”
“Fine,” you relented, “I ordered it off Etsy a while ago.”
“Good thing I also didn’t listen to our agreement,” he smirked, “But mine isn’t as sentimental and it’s really a gift for us both.”
“I’ll love it just the same,” you assured him.
“We are not going home tonight. The fairy godmother volunteered her and Derek’s services all night so I booked us a room at a bed and breakfast and I already packed you a bag in the backseat of the car.”
You started stuffing pasta into your mouth, “Eat faster. I want to go as soon as possible.”
Spencer chuckled at your eagerness.
-
Spencer felt you trying to sneak out of bed to get your phone.
“What are you doing?” he mumbled at the loss of your warmth.
“I just want to check on the kids. This is our first night away from the twins,” you grabbed your phone, putting on Spencer’s button up, and facetiming Penelope.
She picked up on the second ring, “Hello, my lovely.”
“Hey, Pen. Are the kids behaving for you guys?”
“Yes. They’re all sleeping soundly now. Me and Derek are just binging episodes of The Bachelorette now.”
“That’s great to hear. No spoilers though!”
“How is your night going?” she inquired.
“It’s good, it’s good. Dinner was nice. The hotel is nice,” you tried to avoid the obvious.
“Y/N, your makeup is completely smudged and I can see the collar of Spencer’s shirt around your neck,” she replied.
You heard Derek laughing in the background, “Proud of you, lover boy.”
“Okay, we’ll see you in the morning,” Spencer hung up the phone for you.
“What did you do that for?”
“Round 2,” he smirked.

Be Mine Again
Mark Tuan X Reader
Genre: Angst (With a happy ending)
Word Count: 10.6K
Summary: Mark practically lived on airplanes; being a KPOP idol meant he was constantly traveling. Waking up early to head over to the airport was something he was used to. However, these last few months for Mark have been an actual living hell. He was exhausted beyond belief, having only three hours of sleep and so he decided to grab some coffee. Nothing seemed too out of the ordinary; the Seoul airport was busy as always, yet that doesn’t stop him from noticing that the customer that was currently being rung reminded him of you. It’s been a while since he’s last seen you, but Mark knew you like the back of his hand. When he comes to the realization that it is you, he comes to accept the fact that the two of you at the same place at the same time wasn’t just merely coincidence and he wasn’t going to take this chance for granted.
A/N: Hey guys, I have two papers due in less than two hours, but I wanted to post this by tonight (PRIORITIES) hahahahahaha if I don’t graduate in May, we all know why. I actually wrote this last year but I never had the motivation to finish it. However, the words just kept flowing out and here we are. I’m still trying to get my motivation back to continue other stories, but until then, please enjoy this one! This is based on the song “Wake me up” by Ed Sheeran.
I should ink my skin With your name And take my passport out again And just replace it
See I could do without a tan on my left hand Where my fourth finger meets my knuckle And I should run you a hot bath And fill it up with bubbles
'Cause maybe you're lovable Maybe you're my snowflake And your eyes turn from green to gray In the winter I'll hold you in a cold place And you should never cut your hair 'Cause I love the way you flick it off your shoulder
And you will never know Just how beautiful you are to me But maybe I'm just in love When you wake me up
Mark was never a morning person but it was quite understandable. He’d always have to wake up at the crack of dawn and head to dance practice or to the studio for a recording session. Luckily today was his first legitimate day off in months and he wanted nothing more than to sleep in till noon and spend the rest of his day doing nothing with you.
To his dismay, he found himself waking up a bit too early for his liking because he noticed the bed seemed more spacious and you weren’t there when he reached out to pull you closer to his body. Your boyfriend knew you weren’t a morning person either and with the way your job was overworking you to the bone these days, Mark knew you were just as tired as he was and needed a well deserved break; so where exactly could you have gone?
His questions were soon answered when the scent of bacon and blueberry pancakes filled your bedroom and he couldn’t help but grin at the idea of you making breakfast. It’s been a while since the two of you really got to spend time together. He’s been on tour with Got7 for the last six months and you were only able to visit him three times during the entire tour because your schedule was just as hectic as his was.
He couldn’t wait to spend time with his favorite girl and hopefully you had the same ideas of how the day was going to play out. Once he put on some boxers and a t-shirt to look more decent, he made his way in to the living room and toward the kitchen but stopped once his eyes landed on your curvaceous figure.
You were currently wearing his t-shirt from the night before and a cute little thong that left little to the imagination and his mind began to wander to your little love making session a few hours prior. He had to bite his lip to prevent himself from groaning at how sexy you looked and making his presence known but he didn’t care.
Mark loved making it aware just how much of an effect you had on him. Your boyfriend wasn’t all that secretive in trying to hide that he had just joined you and you could hear his footsteps as he made his way toward you, so you weren’t as surprised when you felt his arms wrap lazily around your waist as he placed his chin on your shoulder.
“Good morning baby. Smells good, and I’m not talking about the food.” You playfully rolled your eyes at his comment and although you couldn’t see him, you knew by the intonation in his voice that he was smiling.
“How are you feeling this morning? I didn’t go too rough on you did I?” You decided to turn around and stole a chaste kiss from the corner of his mouth before playfully pinching his cheek.
“You give yourself too much credit Tuan. I’m walking around just fine aren’t I?”
The adorable pout he gave you after your cheeky response sent warmth to your cheeks but you know it was all just an act. Mark knew you were just messing with him because as the two of you were having sex, you wouldn’t stop screaming his name in pleasure and begging him to go faster. Normally your love making sessions were always so passionate and tender; full of love confessions and sensual touches. However, last night was a little more on the dominant and rough side not that you were complaining.
Got7’s world tour ended just three days ago and as soon as Mark landed back in Korea yesterday afternoon, he made a beeline straight to your shared apartment and both showed you and told you just how much he’s missed you since he’s been away the entire day. You had a couple of bruises on your hips, thighs and around your neck but you didn’t care. As much as you loved how soft and extremely caring Mark could be whenever it came to you, you loved his kinky and animalistic side just a little bit more.
“Hmm, I guess I’m just going to have to change your mind by fucking your brains out the entire day then huh? Oh, by the way, you look so fucking sexy in my shirt y/n. God, I don’t know how I can go so long without seeing you and kissing you, it’s fucking torture. I missed you so much baby.”
You smiled widely in to the kiss when he practically smashed his lips against yours and you automatically wrapped your arms around his neck; wanting to be as close to him as possible. He only deepened the kiss and turned off the stove before hoisting you on top of the kitchen counter and finding his way in between your legs. Being in a long distance relationship was extremely tough and it was even harder knowing that your boyfriend was one of the biggest international celebrities in the entire world.
Sometimes, you’d forget you were dating a Kpop idol because Mark seemed like such a normal guy. To the world, he was Got7’s main rapper Mark Tuan but to you, he was your cheesy and extremely corny boyfriend who cried at Disney movies, didn’t know how to multiply numbers once they went in to the double digits and always left the toilet seat up no matter how many times you’d remind him to put it down.
You never viewed him to be anyone other than the man you were in a relationship with and he never did or said anything to make you feel uncomfortable in your relationship. He did his best to keep in touch with you as much as he could and he used every minute of his free time to check up on you and make sure you were doing okay. Your happiness was Mark’s number one priority and he did anything in his power to make sure you were happy and got whatever you wanted.
“I missed you too. I actually took the rest of the week off because a little birdie told me you guys don’t have any schedule until Tuesday so I want to spend as much time with you as possible. I’m all yours Mark. Do whatever you want with me.”
You regretted those words the minute they fell from your lips because of the mischievous grin that quickly rose on his face. Mark was a very playful and cheeky guy. From previous experience, you learned that your boyfriend had many tricks up his sleeve. Making love to you was his favorite past time and he would take advantage of any time he physically had with you.
“Anything?” You nodded in agreement; you’d be lying if you said you weren’t excited to see what Mark had planned for the two of you but knowing him, it had to deal with him being the dominant one and maybe even getting to accomplish one of his kinks.
“Yes, but to an extent. No anal—don’t look at me like that I told you it’s a big no babe. Oh and no bondage. You know how I get when I’m tied up. But I do want to try that one position I sent to you.” His grip on your waist tightened and he sneakily hid his face in the crook of your neck only to leave a couple of sloppy love bites there.
“Mmm, I’ll do anything you ask of me baby. Why don’t we skip breakfast and I can eat you out instead—ow! I hope you’re this rough with me in bed later on.”
The airport was extremely busy today and Mark cursed his manager for scheduling a couple of photo shoots for him during one of the busiest seasons of the year; winter. Everyone was either going on a trip or returning home for one and with him being the former, he was frustrated with how long the lines at security were and how many paparazzi showed up at his gate just to take photos of him.
It wasn’t that Mark didn’t love being an idol. He loved performing and entertaining all of his fans alongside of his six best friends. He loved writing songs, loved traveling the world and experiencing so many different cultures, food and adventures while they were on tour. However, he was willing to give it all up if it meant getting you back in his life. You were everything Mark could ever want and need in his life.
The two of you were together for almost four years and if soulmates existed, you were Mark’s as he was yours. You meant the world to him and he loved you more than he could ever put in to words. Which is why he was completely devastated when you told him you were breaking up with him. The break up wasn’t completely unexpected; that is why Mark wasn’t too shocked when you told him you could no longer handle the long distance and that you felt like you weren’t too important to him.
Mark knew that wasn’t the truth and he could only hope that you didn’t ultimately think so either, but after five months of being away from you, it gave Mark time to think where he went wrong and what caused you to finally give up on your relationship with him. Being an idol wasn’t all that easy, but dating one must’ve been ten times more difficult.
Not only was he gone most of the time, but the time difference really did interfere with your communication schedule. If he was waking up, you were getting ready for bed and if he was right about to go to sleep, you were clocking in to work. You only really ever got to talk to him on the weekends if you were lucky and even if Mark did his best to contact you and to check up on you, it wasn’t the same as spending time with him and talking with him face to face rather than through a phone screen.
Then came your insecurities. Mark knew how insecure you could get when it came to dating him. If he was in your shoes, he’d be pretty insecure too, so it was understandable. But he never failed to reassure you that you were the only girl he genuinely ever loved and planned on loving for the rest of his life. He told you on a daily basis that he planned on marrying you and settling down with you one day once his idol life were to simmer down.
You tried your best to be patient and understanding when it came to dating him because not only was he in a relationship with you, but he was in a relationship with his career and as much as Mark tried to prioritize you and your relationship, deep down you knew you’d always come second to his job. When you confessed your feelings and thoughts to him, to say he was upset that you were breaking up with him was an understatement.
Did you fall out of love with him? Was there someone else? Did you finally come to the realization that you deserved better? There were so many thoughts that ran through his head and all he could do was sink to his knees and cry while pathetically wrapping his arms around your legs and begging you to stay. In your four years of dating, Mark grew to know what an independent and determined person you were and how you had such a great head on your shoulders.
He knew that when you set your heart to something, you always accomplished it; a breakup was no different and no matter how many times he’d beg and pleaded for you to stay, your mind was already made up and there was nothing he could do to stop you. Mark knew it was selfish to want you to stay. Your relationship wasn’t the healthiest; the two of you had your fair share of arguments and disagreements. But your love was always enough to defeat any negative thought or idea you had.
This time was different though and you were extremely tired of not being as important to Mark as he was to you. You put him on a pedestal; you gave him the world on a silver platter and he could barely give you a couple minutes of his time because he was always so busy. For months, you’ve been debating on breaking up with him, especially because you were so in love with him and just like Mark, you wanted to spend the rest of your life with him and only him.
However, the longer you continued your relationship, the more unhappy you became and sometimes it felt as if you weren’t even in a relationship. Breaking up with Mark was the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do in your entire life and as soon as he sank on to the floor, sobbing and heaving; begging you to change your mind, you knew you made a mistake. Mark has never been the same since you’ve left.
Although it’s been over five months since the night you broke his heart and took whatever was left of it with you, things only got worse for him as the days went on. He missed you more and more every day and even if the guys did their best in cheering him up and attempting to help him move on by setting him up with other girls, there was just no getting over you.
As soon as Mark and his manager got settle down at their gate, they took their seats and Mark decided to stay away from his phone for a while. Sometimes, all the comments, posts, direct messages and tweets on social media could be so toxic and he couldn’t help but overthink at all the negativity. It was in those moments where he would run to you.
Other than Got7 and his family, you were the only person he trusted and he trusted you with his entire life. That says a lot. Mark was an extremely private person. He had a hard time trusting and opening up to people. The only reason why he portrayed himself as such a shy and introverted person was because he didn’t want people taking advantage of him and his kindness.
After meeting you, getting to know you and dating you for so long, Mark learned that his happiness, health and success was your main priority. You always stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to talk to him and to listen to him vent about his worries and all of his problems and not once did you complain about how tired you probably were or how repetitive he was sounding but that’s because you loved him so much and wanted to be there for him no matter what time it was, who you were with or what you were doing.
You’d drop anything and everyone for Mark and he was forever grateful. You were so selfless and never expected anything in return for your patience and generosity. Mark always felt so safe with you. You were his home and God, he was homesick. He took a look at his passport in disgust. This was one of the main reasons why you could no longer handle being in a relationship with him.
Almost every single page was filled out with many difference countries and cities all around the world. China, Japan, Australia, New York, Russia, Italy, Brazil, Philippines. He only had a couple of pages left to fill up and he knew he’d need a new passport by the end of the month. What bothered him even more was knowing that he had just gotten this passport less than five months ago.
Right after he returned back home to your upsetting decision, his management gave him a new passport and informed him that he had a schedule in Thailand just three days later. It wasn’t that he hated traveling; no. Mark loved seeing all these different places, trying their food, meeting their people and learning about their cultures.
It was being away from you that he hated the most. No matter how many times you told him you were excited for him to explore and live his best life, he knew you wanted to be there alongside of him experiencing it all too because that’s all he wanted. Every high that went on in his life, he wanted you right there by his side basking in his excitement with him.
Learning how to live without you was a painful experience and he became so unhappy to the point where he took a few days off from the tour in order to see a therapist for his depression. Mark knew how much you meant to him the minute he told Jaebeom he wanted to leave Got7 in order to be with you.
The leader thought it was an extremely abrupt and stupid decision on Mark’s part but he understood where his older friend was coming from. He witnessed the way you and Mark looked at one another. If he had to describe what love was, it was in your gazes alone that could explain what the four letter word meant.
Everyone and their mothers knew just how much you and Mark loved and cared for one another. When Mark told the six of them that you broke up with him, they were in disbelief. Sure, the six of them had girlfriends and even a couple of flings and one night stands every now and then but you were the only constant girlfriend amongst their group and they all felt that you both would get married to each other once their careers were to settle down.
Jinyoung and Jackson were the closest with Mark; so they saw just how much the breakup had wrecked him and no matter how much they tried to tell him that you were going to come back and that you just needed some time without him, he didn’t believe anything anyone had to say. If you still loved him, you’d still be with him no matter how hard your relationship was. The passport began to taunt him the longer he stared at it.
“This is all your fucking fault.” He began to flick at the pages earning himself a look of confusion from his manager.
“Hey, everything okay?” Mark shook his head in disagreement.
“I’m just tired. I’ll go get some coffee or something. Be right back.”
He didn’t care what his manager’s response was and he couldn’t care less if he were to get followed. Mark wasn’t even much of a coffee person. You were taking up the entirety of his thinking process and he just needed some time to think. Something to distract him. When he walked up to the coffee shop, there were two people in front of him but he paid none of them any mind and went on his phone.
The guys were wishing him safe travels and hoped that the photo shoot and filming for a reality tv show he was going to be on went well. A small smile rose on his face at the idea of how much they all loved and cared about him. He really didn’t know what he were to do or how he would cope without them.
“I’ll have a venti iced matcha latte. Thank you.”
It was in that moment that time froze. He knew that voice anywhere. It was etched in to the back of his head and imprinted on his heart. Your laugh along with your sweet, soft voice was one of Mark’s favorite sounds and he would listen to you talk all day if he could. He looked at the person currently at the cash register and shook his head in disbelief. Mark had to be hallucinating. It must’ve been the lack of sleep. There was no way that could’ve been you.
The girl had extremely short hair, up to her shoulders compared to the long, silky waves you’ve had for the last few years that Mark loved so much. She was also wearing something completely different than what you had in your wardrobe. The older boy knew you like the back of his hand. He knew each and every curve on your body; on top of every birth and beauty mark scattered throughout your skin. Surely he would’ve known if it was you. It was possible for someone to have the same exact voice as you—wasn’t it?
Sure, the girl ordered your favorite drink, but everyone seemed to be in to matcha these days. It didn’t mean anything. Bringing his attention back to his phone, he tried his best to take his mind off of comparing you and the girl in front of him. However, once the cashier asked for the girl’s name, his entire world came crashing down on him.
“Y/n.”
It was you. But so much has changed about you in the last few months. Once you got out of line and made your way off to the side, it was in that moment Mark confirmed that yes, it was you. So many questions began running through his mind. What were you doing there at the airport? Why did you cut your hair and change your style? Was it an effect of the breakup? Did you know he was there? You had to—or least have heard that some kind of celebrity was there with the way that the paparazzi and fans were filling up the gateway.
A part of him wanted to turn around and pretend as if he didn’t see you, but another part of him, one he understood was his heart was begging for him to go and talk to you. It would be alright wouldn’t it? It’s been months and the two of you started off as friends in the first place. It was only normal for him to say hi. Matter of a fact, it would’ve been rude if he didn’t. Once he made his way up to the cashier, he was quick to see the way a grin quickly rose on her face.
“Hi, what can I get for you to—today.” He gave her a polite smile before looking up at the menu board.
“Just a grande iced caramel macchiato with two shots of espresso please—oh and one cream cheese scone. Thank you.” He reached out to take out his wallet but she shook her head.
“It’s on the house Mark. I’m a huge fan. Have a nice rest of your day.”
He thanked her politely and wished her a nice day before making his way toward where you were standing. You were currently on your phone and he began to have an internal argument with himself on whether or not he should go up and talk to you. What could go wrong?
Well, you could pretend as if you didn’t know who he was and just leave him looking like an idiot, or you could start a conversation with him like you normally did. Right as he was about to open his mouth and say something to you, his order was being called. He looked over to where you were standing to see if hearing his name had any effect on you, but you continued to stand there and scrolled through your phone.
Just go you idiot. She’s obviously moved on, let her be.
Listening to his conscience would’ve been the smart thing to do, but Mark was never all that bright and he bought that scone specifically for you. Taking in a deep breath, he walked over to you and before he could say anything, you looked up to see the new presence that joined you in the corner and practically jumped as if you saw a ghost. Although you looked completely different, you still looked breathtakingly beautiful.
You lost some weight which was expected from how hard you’ve been working, you weren’t wearing any makeup other than what Mark knew was tinted moisturizer and when he noticed you were wearing the necklace he bought for you on your third anniversary, his heart rate increased.
“Hey.”
You continued to look up at him in shock and he couldn’t help the giggle that fell from his lips at how adorable you looked. Your eyes were widened in shock and it was as though you saw a ghost. Technically, he was considerably a ghost of your past—so seeing your blank expression did tug on his heartstrings. He might have thought that approaching you was a good idea once he first laid his eyes on you and confirmed that it was indeed you, but now he was regretting it. When he realized you weren’t going to say anything, he handed you the scone.
“I uh—I got this for you. I know how much you love your cream cheese scones.”
After taking in a couple of deep breaths, you finally allowed yourself to process what was going on and that’s when you felt a tear fall down your cheek.
“Thank you. Um—hi—sorry, I—hi. How have you been?”
Although it was you who initiated the break up, you found yourself following and keeping up with everything Got7 was doing. Specifically the man standing in front of you. Seeing him again after your last night together made you feel a whole bunch of emotions. You were excited but your heart felt as if it was about to burst out of your chest. You had no right to crave his presence, you broke his heart and decided you no longer wanted to be the lucky girl who got to love him and be loved by him.
It wasn’t that you wanted to break up with him. Breaking up with Mark was the biggest mistake you’ve ever made. He was your person. Your soulmate. Your safe haven. The man standing in front of you was all you wanted for the rest of your life. But it was all getting too much for you at one point. The long distance was getting too much for you to handle.
Then came the rumors; no matter how quick he was to shut down any rumor, it was only natural for you to grow insecure and feel as if there was something going on with him and the idols he was included in rumors with. Your mental health was worsening the longer he was away and it was affecting your job and your education. You knew that breaking up with him was a permanent decision and that there was no going back once it happened. However, all you knew and have ever known was Mark.
You always lived for him; always put him first. You needed to live without him. You needed to grow and learn to love yourself before you could continue loving him. The feeling of his finger wiping away the tear that fell made butterflies erupt in your tummy. His touch felt all too familiar yet so foreign and you wanted nothing more than for him to continue.
“I’m uh—I’m alright. What are you doing here? You look extremely beautiful by the way. Although, I always preferred your long hair, short hair looks really good on you.”
You didn’t have to see yourself to know your cheeks were probably red from his sweet words. Mark always knew exactly what to say to make you blush. Plus, it’s been a while since someone complimented you and the last time someone did, it just so happened to be the beautiful boy standing in front of you. Mark complimented you on a daily basis as if his life depended on it. He was very vocal about wanting you to know just how beautiful you are and how he thinks the entire world of you.
“Thank you. I wanted to try something new I guess. It was getting too hard to manage and Korea is extremely hot during the summer. You look great! Your hair is really long now, but I like it. I’m actually going to Vietnam for a conference. What about you?”
He gave you a knowing look as he shrugged indifferently. He didn’t want to bring it up, he was afraid of what would happen once he brought up work. The last thing he wanted was to ruin things before they could even begin to bloom.
“I have a couple of photo shoots in China and then I’m meeting BamBam in Thailand for a reality show. What time is your flight?”
There was nothing more that Mark wanted than to pull you in to his embrace but he was afraid of your reaction. It’s been so long since he last held you in his arms and he still had yet to really understand why you left, but he wanted you to come back home. He wanted you to come back to him.
No matter how many wonderful things happened to him on a daily basis, nothing else mattered to him the way you and your presence did. He couldn’t fathom in to words just how much you were a literal ray of sunshine on his many cloudy days. He was nothing without you; and he didn’t realize just how much of a positive impact you had on him until you were no longer his. You were his reason; the meaning behind his entire existence.
A life without you was one he no longer wanted to continue living. You were at the same airport at the exact same time—it had to mean something. Mark knew you like the back of his hand; being with someone for such a long time would do that to you. He could tell what you were thinking or how you were feeling just by looking at you and your mannerisms, yet looking at you right now, he had no idea what was on your mind and it worried him.
Were you also thinking that the two of you meeting in the same area after months of being apart was a sign that the two of you were meant to do so? You were a firm believer in fate, soulmates and anything that had to deal with supernatural powers. Did that mean you too felt the same way Mark was currently feeling? You had to. You lived in Los Angeles and you only ever visited Korea when you were still dating Mark.
There wasn’t a reason he could think of for you to come back. His flight could have been the day before and yours could have been set for the next week but no. You were both there; both deciding to stop by for coffee before your flights. This was no coincidence and even if it was, Mark was currently thanking whatever higher power brought the two of you to the airport that day.
He was determined to bring you back in to his life, even if it was just to be a friend. Since the break up, you practically dropped off the face of the earth. You deleted every single social media account, changed your number and you even had your mom come up with excuses as to why you no longer wanted anything to do with him. There was no way he could keep up with you, so he had no idea if you already had someone else in your life.
He wasn’t going to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable, but he was going to do whatever he possibly could to return things back to what they were. He missed his old self; the Mark he was back when he had a purpose. Back when he had something—someone worth fighting for. Someone worth surviving for.
You. It’s always been you from the time you walked in to his life all those years ago and it’s always going to be you.
There was really no getting over you. You were the owner of his heart and he was afraid that he would be alone for the rest of his life because he was confident you were it for him. He’s been thinking about you every single day since you told him you no longer wanted to be with him anymore. How were you doing? How long have you been wanting a breakup for? When did you realize Mark wasn’t the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? If you were suffering and missing him the way he was with you?
The two of you could have worked things out; he knew there was a lot more meaning behind your words. Deep down, Mark knew a huge part of your decision to break up with him was because of his career. The idol life was extremely rough; the guys received so much hate on a daily basis, their company treated them like shit and they didn’t get the recognition they obviously deserved.
They promised Mark many different photo shoots, deals with top fashion houses like Hermès, Chanel and Tiffany co. They also told him that he could return back to California to spend time with his family. Unfortunately, every single thing the company promised to him turned out to be a lie. Some of the other members got to experiment with acting, dancing and putting out solo albums.
However, every time Mark would bring up wanting to try out any of these activities, his company was quick to shut him down every single time. He had a gut feeling that a lot of the employees under the division that made the decisions all had it out for him and he never understood why. The older boy was one of the kindest, generous, soft spoken and gentle people not only in the company but just in general.
In fact, it was Mark’s polite personality that caught the attention of the people who scouted him over a decade ago. Honestly, the mistreatment was getting too much for him to handle. He knew he and the rest of Got7 deserved so much better. They all had so much potential to be one of the greatest groups in KPOP, but their company continued to hold them back for no reason at all. All the mistreatment they were receiving on top of losing you—it got too much for Mark to handle and at one point, he even thought about leaving Got7. He didn’t have the courage to talk to any of the members about his feelings or anyone for that matter.
Although he didn’t know the entire reasoning behind your sudden disappearance, it didn’t take a genius to know that you were fed up dating a KPOP idol. Hell, even if Mark knew you were the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, he wasn’t wholeheartedly sure that you felt that way too. For all he knew, every time you talked about your future with him, you could have said it in the moment.
Nobody knows what the future holds but God—Mark wanted nothing more than for you to end up in his. If he could, he would go back in to the past and change everything negative that went on in your relationship. The two of you hardly ever got in to arguments; there wasn’t anything for the two of you to fight about. Sure, there were a couple disagreements every now and then, but it was only ever about food or chores. If and when the two of you did argue, It was about the distance.
Got7 had gone on tour every single year since the beginning of your relationship. Their tours normally lasted for six months and unfortunately, being a full time college student with a full time job prevented you from getting to travel along with him. This meant that you only ever saw him when he was in Korea and even then, he would be at practice or in the studio.
It had to be hard on you; you were still so young and quite the romantic. It was only natural for you to want to be around your boyfriend as much as you could. Mark hated any time spent away from you. As much as he loved hanging out with Got7, if he had the choice, he’d spend all of his time with you. If only he tried harder for you—if only he fought harder to get you to stay, he’d still be coming home to you and finding solace in your arms after a long day. He wouldn’t be so torn—so broken and so depressed. You brought out the best in him; you might have been standing right in front of him, but you were so far away.
“I’m actually supposed to be heading to my gate here pretty soon. My flight is in an hour but we’ll be boarding in less than half an hour—“
“Order for y/n!”
You gave him a small smile and walked over to the counter, quickly taking your beverage and making your way back over to him. Mark could feel his heart rate rapidly beating against his chest. Did he really spend almost five years of his life with you? It felt like a fever dream? He felt like a school boy watching you—his gaze not leaving your frame once.
“Oh—cool.”
“What about you?”
“My flight isn’t for another two hours. My manager just wanted to get here early so that we wouldn’t have to worry about checking in.”
The truth was, Mark and his manager weren’t actually supposed to be there so early. In most of his trips, they would show up to the airport with only minutes to make it to their gate. Since they would always fly first class, there wasn’t too much of a wait. That’s why he knew seeing you there was more than just a mere coincidence.
You hummed in understanding and averted your gaze to the ground. Seeing your sudden change in emotion on top of your now awkward demeanor made his stomach sore. Being an idol was a once in a lifetime experience which he was extremely grateful for. He loved performing, he loved meeting fans and traveling the world with his six other best friends. But he would give everything up just to be the man you called your husband.
That’s all he ever wanted. Being an idol would never allow him that freedom whatsoever and that was one of the cons he hated the most about his career. If people were to know that he was in a relationship with you, then maybe the two of you wouldn’t have had so many arguments about the dating rumors that surrounded him.
KPOP fans could be so delusional sometimes. Whenever two idols would interact with each other or simply glance at one another, people would call them out and say that they were dating. Mark being the friendly person he was would always do things for the female idols he would work alongside. He knew that no matter how many times he would reassure you that there was nothing going on with him and a female idol, it was only human of you to grow insecure and feel as though something was up. He was very jealous and insecure whenever it came to you.
One time, you went out with a few of your friends to a bar and got plastered to the point where one of your guy friends had to take you home. Since nobody other than the members of Got7 and both his and your family members knew about your relationship, this meant that Mark had yet to meet your group of friends but he was familiar with a few of them because you would talk to him about them.
This friend however, wasn’t one that he was aware of, nor did he want to be. When he heard a buzz on his door and opened it to see your friend carrying you bridal style with your arms wrapped tightly around his neck as your face was smashed against his chest, he could feel is blood boiling and it wasn’t a good feeling.
You weren’t purposely trying to make him jealous and because you didn’t think too highly of yourself in the first place, you didn’t think Mark had any reason to be jealous. He wanted to rip you from out of your friend’s arms and hide you away—it wasn’t that he was jealous of your friend’s looks although Mark could see that he was pretty good looking. Mark wasn’t cocky, he was very humble but he was well aware he was extremely handsome. Yet, he knew that your friend could give you what Mark couldn’t.
Your friend could provide for you in ways that Mark couldn’t. Your friend could spend all of his time with you—call you and text you on an hourly basis. There were so many men that could do things for you that Mark wasn’t physically able to and it bothered him. Come to think of it, although he had no right to worry about what you did anymore, he was curious if you were in a relationship—and if you were dating that friend.
He never said anything about it once you sobered you the next day in fear of a fight breaking out, but he’s been very cautious about who you hung out with while he was away. Mark was confident in the love that you held for him. You would confess your love for him physically and verbally every single day, so cheating wasn’t even a thought on his mind. However, he was afraid of you coming to the realization that you didn’t want to continue staying in a relationship with someone you hardly ever saw.
“Nice! Oh, congratulations by the way! You finally released a solo song. I’m so proud of you! It’s amazing by the way. I had to look up the English translation since I don’t speak a word of Chinese, but it was beautiful.”
I wrote it about you.
From the day you walked out on him up until now, every single song he wrote was about you. Missing you—wishing you were still his, wanting to give up the game and fortune to be with you. The misery he was suffering; every word he wrote came straight from his heart. You actually kept up with him? You actually listened to his music? It didn’t come as a shocker; you were the definition of supportive.
If you were able to, you’d attend their concerts, you’d constantly listen to their music and you’d wear and even purchase some merchandise. Everything you did never failed to put a smile on his face. Why did he take you for granted? Whoever said the famous line you never know what you have until it’s gone was right and he hated that they were.
“Thanks. I’m glad that you enjoyed it.”
That had to be the understatement of the year. He was over the moon that you listened to it. Right as he released the song, you were the first person he wanted to hear it. You were who the song was written about, so of course he wanted you to listen to it. It made him wonder though, how did you stumble across of it? Were you just scrolling on social media and it popped up, or did you search his name—curious as to how he was doing?
What did you think about the lyrics? Did you think he wrote it about you? You had to know; you were the only girl in his life, a lot of the songs he’s written for Got7 were about you and you were aware of it. This time was no different. He had no intentions of telling you, well, at least not right now. But he was hoping you already knew without him having to confess it to you. Silence surrounded the both of you and he mentally cursed himself for not knowing what to say. Mark felt like an idiot. There were so many questions he had and so many things he wanted to tell you, but it wasn’t the time and he didn’t want to scare you away.
“I should get going. I can’t afford to miss my flight. It was nice seeing you again Mark. I hope you have a wonderful day and a safe trip. Take care.”
You gently waved at him and thanked him once more for the scone. His heart began to beg him to at least go in for a hug or to ask you to maybe start all over. It’s been so long since he last held you in his arms and it just felt so tempting. Only then did he realize where he was and there was no way he could get caught hugging someone—even more so his ex-girlfriend. Korean reporters would have a field day.
“You too. Have fun in Vietnam!”
With one last smile, you were gone and it all felt like deja vu to him. Seeing you walk away with your luggage brought back painful memories of him crying on the kitchen floor, wrapping himself around your leg—begging you to rethink your decision. He felt like such a child then, not allowing you to leave because he could tell that once you were to finally leave the apartment, that was it. This time though, it hurt him so much more.
You were back in his life even if it were only for a couple of minutes. He had hope—he prayed that seeing him again would make you realize that you missed him and that maybe at the time, the break up was something you thought would be a good idea but now you were regretting it. He dragged himself slowly back to his gate and slumped in to the chair next to his manager. If the older man thought something was wrong, he didn’t say anything and Mark was glad.
This manager was one of his favorites. He was very nice to Mark and took good care of him. However, he knew it was protocol for him to report any funny business back to the higher ups in the company. The image of you began to haunt him; he couldn’t think straight knowing you were less than a mile away from him. He started to weigh out his options; there was no way he’d allow this chance to go to waste.
It’s only been a few months; but heartbreak really does change a person. He didn’t want to suffer anymore. That’s why he found himself standing up and apologizing to his manager, stating that he’d be right back. Knowing that you were just minutes away from boarding, he practically sprinted throughout the gates—doing his best to find the flight to Vietnam. It wasn’t as if there were many gates. All Asian countries were in the same area and both China and Japan were next to his gate, so he had a hunch your gate wasn’t too far away.
“Flight 0904 to Vietnam will start boarding passengers in ten minutes. Please begin making your way to the gate.”
He swore under his breath as he was running around looking like a madman. Only you had this effect on him. At this point, he didn’t even care if someone recognized him and either took photos of him or recorded him. He needed to find you and tell you how he felt.
There was a possibility that you’d either freeze or tell him that you didn’t feel anything for him any more. In that case, there was nothing he could do about it. He’d just have to accept the truth as it was. Once he saw the word Vietnam in bold letters, he took a sharp turn and looked throughout the passengers—wanting nothing more than to finally find you. Actually, it didn’t take too long for his vision to land on you.
Mark could point you out in a crowded room. In concerts with thousands of fans in attendance, he would always find you without trouble. That’s just how love worked. He wasted no time walking towards you and immediately sank down on his knees. There were so many red flags going off in his mind, telling him to turn around and that it was too late but he refused to listen.
It took you a couple of seconds to register what was happening and you brought your gaze up to the other passengers who were waiting to board. Their expressions of shock and interest made it clear to you that no—you weren’t hallucinating. Seeing him in the coffee shop was already a lot to take in. It almost felt like you were asleep and you dreamt this entire thing but no; he was kneeling right in front of you.
“Mark, what are you—“
“I shouldn’t have let you go. Not ten minutes ago. Not five months ago. Fuck—I couldn’t just sit and pretend that it’s a coincidence that we’re both here. You know me better than anyone else y/n, I never used to believe in that fate bullshit. But that was before you became my life. I could have flew out yesterday and you could have flown out later on this evening but here we are. At the exact same airport at the exact same time. You never told me why you left—I’ve been trying to come up with reasons for myself just so I could get closure but nothing makes sense. Look—I know I was a shit boyfriend and I know you deserve someone so much better than me, but I’m selfish. All I’ve ever wanted in my life was someone who could love me the way you do—the way you did so passionately. I know I took you for granted and there aren’t enough words in the English dictionary for me to explain just how sorry I am for all that I’ve put you through. I’m sorry for not being there for you as much as I should have, I’m sorry for not giving you the love and support you’ve never failed to give me, I’m sorry for not giving you the time and attention you deserved. There’s no excuse for my actions, there really isn’t. But I just need you to know, these past few months have been an actual living hell for me. I didn’t realize how blessed I was to have you in my life until you were no longer mine. I don’t expect you to come back to me. I’m sure you were suffering in our relationship, so this is my karma. I just want you to know that I still love you, I never stopped and I don’t think I ever will. That’s what scares me the most. Damnit, I don’t even know if you’re in a relationship or not. I shouldn’t have assumed—ahhh, forget I said anything. Have a safe flight.”
You felt the need to throw up. It wasn’t a bad feeling, but it was one of those situations where you were extremely lightheaded and on the verge of passing out. Why did he think that confessing all of that was the right thing to do? Especially in the middle of an airport with dozens of eyes now staring at the both of you. It’s as though he knew exactly what he was doing putting you on the spot like that. He knew you’d give in to him seeing as though you brought attention to a growing crowd.
People enjoy watching couple’s drama and the thing was, Mark wasn’t exactly quiet while pouring out his heart to you. Then again, you knew Mark wasn’t the type to do that. He was extremely soft spoken, so with the way he was practically raising his voice at you, it was obvious he meant business.
You were hoping that nobody would recognize him—fearing that he would get in a lot of trouble if word were to get out about the two of you. His reaction amazed you though; he didn’t seem the least bit phased at the idea of both his and your photo being plastered all over newspapers.
You could see the headlines now; KPOP idol Mark Tuan causes a scene with unknown female at airport. Is this his current girlfriend? Or a former flame?
The gentle tug on your shirt is what broke you out of your thoughts. His pained expression felt like a slap to your face. He was right; you never gave him an actual reasoning for breaking up with him, but who could blame you? You were a coward. If you were to tell him of your insecurities and the fact that you were genuinely unhappy because you couldn’t even consider your relationship a legitimate one, he would have made promises on changing and making things better and you would probably have listened to him and these last couple of months would never had happened. But you were confident that nothing would change.
You weren’t stupid; Mark was both a man of words and actions and it was a trait of his that you appreciated. Yet, sometimes he made promises only to break them not too long after. A lot of the time though, it wasn’t his fault. His schedule kept him from many dates, vacations, trips to visit your family and just spending time together back at your shared apartment. You’d always feel like the odd one out; being the only person without a significant other.
Things like that never really bothered you until one of your friends pulled you to the side after dinner and asked you if you could really see yourself putting up with the current situation you were in with Mark for however long more he’d be an idol for. You should have been honest with him; he deserved to know the truth but then again, you were very good at running away from your problems.
Although her words weren’t the only reason why you ended things, they did open your eyes to the fact that if you did continue to stay with Mark, you’d lose yourself completely. Mark was your main priority. You would always put him first no matter how busy or tired you were. It was when you realize he never did the same for you that you accepted the idea of leaving him for good. Hearing him confess that he was still in love with you though, and that he was genuinely nothing without you made you feel something you haven’t quite felt since you left.
Even if you were the one who decided that you didn’t want to continue having him as your person for the time being, your romantic feelings for Mark never stopped nor did they ever waver. There were days where you missed him dearly; even if he was gone all the time, he was still your boyfriend and they two of you stayed in contact enough for you to forget about the distance even if it were just for a little while.
Sometimes, you’d find yourself typing in his number and writing a message to him, but then you’d stop yourself mid sentence, only then remembering the breakup and that you were the one who initiated it. You constantly reminded yourself that the breakup was the best decision you could make not only for you but for Mark too.
Your relationship probably held him back from so much and although he never once complained about having a significant other, you could visibly see that he was exhausted from all of his scheduled activities—having to come home, entertain you and show you affection had to add on more weight to his shoulders. You couldn’t blame him for being so tired; Got7 practiced for ten to twelve hours a day then they’d go straight in to the studio to write and record songs.
They’d also film reality tv shows and other kinds of segments, so when he’d come home—his body language would speak for him since he never seemed to have the courage to tell you that he was worn out from a long day. The idea of wanting him back was stupid since you were the one who walked away. But you missed him just as much as he claimed to miss you. You wished things could be different so that you could actually enjoy the experience of an actual relationship—yet, you would rather go months without seeing Mark, kissing him, holding him and being held by him, running to him whenever life could get too tough and being the girl that all his fans and the people who adored him could only wish to be in the place of.
You were confident that there would be no one else for you and being without him for such a long time made you accept that you no longer wanted to continue doing so anymore. You continued to sit there; not knowing what to say or do really. Your mind was drawing a complete blank. Slowly, Mark got up from off the floor and softly bowed in your direction, taking the silence as your answer. As he began to walk away, the tight grip on his wrist made him smile like an idiot to himself.
“When do you get back?” He turned around and looked at you in curiosity, but quickly grabbed his phone from out of his back pocket and flipped through his calendar faster than you’ve ever seen anyone do before.
“Two weeks. How come?”
“Can you wait for me?”
Wait, did this mean what he could only hope and dream that it meant? Were you—were you going to give him another chance? Sure, he would have preferred an explanation as to why you broke up with him and what went on in your mind for the last couple of months. But he understood that there was a time and place for such a serious topic.
He wasn’t thinking when he literally poured out his heart out to you. When the two of you were together, the entire world would disappear. Maybe that’s why he pushed away the thought of causing a scene in the middle of an airport, surrounded by at least fifty strangers. He lost all his sanity whenever it came to you and he was just so focused on trying to bring you back in to his life to even care about the consequences that would come with the news of his relationship with you.
“Of course I can—I’ll wait however long I need to for you. But, um—what am I going to be waiting for?” To his surprise yet excitement, you brought one of your hands up to his face and gently grazed his cheek. He wasted no time leaning his face in to your palm and left a soft kiss against your wrist.
“I’m yours, if you’ll have me again. I’ve missed you, more than I’m willing to admit. I won’t lie and say I made a mistake in breaking up with you. We needed this—well, I needed this. I gave my entire being; my mind, heart, body and soul to you. I did everything for you. To make you happy and by doing so, I became so depressed. I wasn’t myself anymore and I wanted to fall back in love with myself before I could continue loving you. You’re right, there’s no way us meeting up is mere coincidence. As soon as you walked up to me, I knew God brought us together. I love you Mark. I’m sorry, I know I have a lot of explaining to do but it’s going to have to wait. I love you, so much. I’ve missed you so much.”
Without hesitance or scanning the area to see whether or not the eyes were still on you, he threw himself at you and connected your lips with his. Although it’s been a while since you’ve last kissed him, your lips melded perfectly together as if the break never happened. His lips were soft and tasted like cherry chapstick and coffee.
God, how did you go so long without kissing the beautiful man in front of you? As much as you wanted to continue your little make out session, only then did it occur to you that you and Mark weren’t alone and that there was a chance someone recognized him. He whined adorably when you pulled your mouth away from his but with the knowing look you sent his way, he understood why you did so.
“Wow, I just—wow. Kissing you was always one of my favorite past times with you. Well, other than cuddling, taking naps, making love and—ow! What? I’m being honest baby. I’ve missed every single thing about you. I’m so fucking happy. This time will be different, I promise. I know how it is to live without you and let me tell you, it was actual hell on earth. Every single day felt like a month. Not hearing that contagious laugh of yours, not seeing that breathtaking smile and not having your arms around me—it fucking sucked. I should’ve fought harder to prevent you from leaving, but none of that matters anymore. You’re here now. You’re back in my life and I have no intention on ever letting you go again. I love you so much y/n, more than you’ll ever be able to fathom with that pretty head of yours.”
He pulled you in for a tight hug; placing his chin on your head and rubbing your back soothingly. The two of you stood there for a couple of minutes, it didn’t even hit you that he was there and that he was going to be yours again. Honestly, you wanted to just say fuck it and reach out to your supervisor, stating that you were unable to make it to Vietnam. Now that the two of you were rekindling your relationship, you wanted to be around him as much as you could. You trusted that he was going to keep his word and take care of you this time. He left soft kisses in your hair and began running his hands along your sides.
“Mmm—I’ve missed this.”
“Me too.” He was about to lean in for another kiss but you playfully leaned away.
“Babeeeee—“
“Mark, if anyone recognizes you—“
“I don’t give a shit. Let them. If people find out that I’m in love, then good. I want everyone to know about you. My heart has been yours for years now and it’s going to stay that way for the rest of our lives. I’d give up being an idol if it meant finally getting to settle down and start living the life we’ve always wanted. If I can’t wait too long, maybe I’ll just fly to Vietnam and we can—“
“Flight 0904 to Vietnam is now boarding. Please take out your tickets and start heading to the gate.” A soft groan fell from Mark’s lips and you took this time to steal a few kisses from him. He smiled against your lips and cheekily squeezed your waist. “Do you still have the same number?”
“Mhm, you?”
“Yeah.”
“Good. I never deleted it, but just like everything else about you, your number is tattooed on my heart. Have a safe flight. Text me as soon as you land. Have a great trip baby. I’ll try to call and text you as much as possible. I love you y/n. Thank you for coming back to me. See you soon.”

Birthday Buddies - Colby Brock
You and Sam share the same birthday and Colby conjures up a plan for the party to be perfect for the both of you.
Requested by @sam-xplr-colby 💙
Warnings: some curse words
Word Count: 1.8k+
--------------------------------------------------
November 27th, the big day. It was your birthday, and it was Sam’s too. Colby’s two favorite people were born on the same day and he made sure to make it special for both of you each year. He would throw the best party that had both of your interests tied together for the theme and they were always the best. Right now, he and the gang were decorating the trap house for the event of the double birthday and you and Sam were wandering aimlessly around the mall.
“What do you think he’s doing this year?” you asked the blond before taking a sip of the coffee you had gotten earlier.
“With Colby, there is no telling what he’s got planned,” he snickered down at you. He watched as your mouth dropped open in surprise and you let out an excited shriek. Sam’s eyebrows drew together before he followed your line of sight to see what had gotten you so excited only to see it was the Disney store.
“Look at the little baby Yoda plushie, Sam!” you squealed as you grabbed his hand to drag him towards the shop. He about tripped over his own two feet, but thankfully he made it there safely. “It’s adorable!”
“He is a cute little fella,” Sam agreed as you two awed at the tiny green Jedi master through the display window. “Wanna go inside? We have a lot of time to waste.”
“Sure,” you nodded your head at the blond and followed him into the store. After a few hours of walking around the mall slipping in and out of shops, you two went to the krac house to get ready.
“It’s cute how you guys do this every year,” Cassie muttered softly as she remained focused on blending together the colors of your eyeshadow.
“Do what?” you inquired. You had slipped into the routine, barely even noticing that it was a common reoccurrence.
“How Colby and Kat decorate the house and throw a party to some theme that Colby has been planning for months and while they do that, you and Sam get to hang out all day and celebrate each other’s birthdays. You can’t tell me that isn’t adorable,” she lightly giggled as a small smile tugged at your lips. It was kind of a cute idea. The love of your life and best friend throw a whole party for you and your other best friend while you two get to have fun.
“Yeah, and it’s nice to hang out with just Sam. I almost never get to because Colby is normally there or Jake or Corey too. He’s a pretty cool guy when it’s just him,” you told her while she dusted off the setting powder that rested below your eyes.
“Yeah, the only person who really gets a good bit of alone time with Sam is…” she started.
“Colby,” you two chorused before giggles flew from your mouths.
“Okay, you’re all done, birthday girl,” Cassie announced before letting you look at yourself in the mirror.
“Damn, Cassie! This looks good,” you complimented as you stared in awe at your own reflection.
“That’s all you, y/n,” she grinned at you through the mirror while she spoke.
“Stop, you are the sweetest. I love you, Cass. Thanks,” you told her before pulling her into your embrace. Her laugh sounded in your ear as she hugged you back, but she soon pulled away.
“Now, let’s get you dressed,” she stated excitedly which caused you to groan. You loved getting your makeup done. It was super therapeutic for you but realizing that you were going to be dressed up all night was not something you were looking forward to. “Stop whining. Colby will love it.”
And love it he did.
“Y/n, baby, you look amazing!” Colby told you as he took your hand in his and spun you around before pulling you close. “Happy birthday, love,” he muttered before pressing his lips to yours. Your moment with him was cut short by the clearing of someone’s throat nearby.
“As cute as this is, can we go in? I really wanna see what it looks like in there,” Sam stated, his words followed by a grin. You pulled away from Colby a bit and let your hand slide down his arm and into his hand, your fingers intertwining with his.
“I wanna see inside too,” you giggled as you looked at the front door of the house you knew all too well.
“Right this way,” Colby joked as he ushered you and Sam towards the door.
“Are you ready, birthday girl?” Sam asked as he stuck his arm out for you to grab. You giggled before linking your arm with his.
“Yep, birthday boy.” Sam turned the knob and pushed the door open to reveal where all your friends stood, cheering and recording the moment to save.
“Happy birthday guys!” they shouted in unison as white, green, blue, and orange balloons and confetti were thrown in the air above you and Sam. You turned into the blond to help shield yourself from the falling pieces of paper and glitter as you both laughed to each other.
Once it had all fallen on top of you two, you both pulled away from each other to look around. You noticed the balloons that were on the ground. The white ones had storm troopers on them, the green had Yoda, the blue was R2-D2, and the orange ones had BB-8 printed on the latex.
“It’s Star Wars themed,” Sam grinned at you. You nodded your head eagerly before turning to Colby who stood behind you both with a sheepish grin on his face. Your feet moved quickly to him and you wrapped your arms around him.
“It’s perfect, babe. I love it,” you muttered in his ear before pulling away to press your lips to his. After the kiss, you backed away so Sam could talk to him and as they spoke, you ran to Katrina.
“You did so good at decorating because I know Colby couldn’t do all this, so thank you Kat!” you said as you pulled away from her embrace.
“Yeah, he can’t decorate, but the idea was all his and it was honestly his best idea ever. You both are Star Wars nerds,” she teased to which you playfully shoved her away.
“Wait until you see the cake. Sam, come here!” Kat squealed before Sam and Colby turned their heads towards her and followed you two to the kitchen.
“Oh, I love it!” you awed at the decorated dessert. The bottom two layers were BB-8, and it had a baby Yoda on top. “It’s adorable!”
“Looks sick guys,” Sam added from behind you and Kat.
“You did amazing, Colby, with everything,” you praised the purple-haired love of yours as your eyes looked around the kitchen at all the decorations. Your lips met his quickly in a small thank you kiss as his arms slid behind your waist and clasped together at the small of your back.
“Yeah, thanks man,” Sam stated as he nodded at Colby, his arms wrapped around his own girlfriend, “and thank you too, baby.” As soon as the words left his lips, he pressed them to Katrina’s in a heartbeat.
“Well, isn’t it just a love fest in here,” Reggie joked when he entered to room, noticing how close and wrapped up the two couples were.
“Ewwww,” Jake dragged out the word when he caught sight of what his older brother was talking about.
“Oh, shut up, Jake. I’ve seen you and Tara and y’all can be plenty affectionate,” you scolded the childlike boy who showed you his dimpled smile.
“I’ve almost walked in on them being hella in love if you know what I mean,” Corey popped into the conversation, causing laughter to fill the room.
“Let’s get this party started!” Tara shouted when she walked in with a plastic kazoo placed between her plump lips before blowing into the instrument.
“Kazoos?” you asked Colby when you turned to face him.
“That was actually Kat’s idea,” he informed you before your eyes met hers.
“What? I thought it’d be fun,” she shrugged innocently as she giggled against Sam’s chest.
“You must’ve forgotten we’re friends with them,” you joked, pointing towards Tara, Jake, and Corey who were having a contest to see who the loudest kazoo player could be. Well, Jake and Corey were in each other’s faces playing loudly while Tara stood between them playing her own rendition of a Harry Styles song on her kazoo.
“Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea,” Kat admitted while she watched the competition go down across the counter.
“As long as they’re having fun, then what’s the harm,” you spoke as a chuckle fell past your glossed lips.
“I love you, you know that, right?” Colby whispered in your ear before your attention was turned back towards him. The corners of your lips turned upwards in a grin as you nodded at the boy.
“How could I not know that? Look around. Someone does not do all this for someone he kinda likes. You did it for two people you love, and we love you too. I love you so much, Colbs.” He could not resist kissing you again, the combination of love radiating between the two of you and with how well Cassie had dressed you making you completely irresistible in his sapphire eyes.
“Come upstairs. I want to show you what I got you,” he mumbled as he slipped his hand in yours and led you up the flight of stairs. “It’s on the bed.”
“Are you serious, Colby? Sam and I saw this earlier! Did he tell you I was in love with it?” you asked in shock when your eyes fell upon the baby Yoda plushie sitting between the dark pillows.
“No, I got this a while ago,” he told you when you picked up the soft stuffed toy, cradling it in your arms.
“This is perfect. All of it is perfect,” you muttered as tears brimmed your eyes at how happy you were in that very moment.
“You’re perfect,” Colby commented before pulling you closer to him. You dropped the plush toy on the bed as your arms found their place around his neck. Your lips connected once again that night since it seemed the two of you could not get enough of each other. The kiss deepened when you slipped your tongue in after tugging lightly at his hair.
“There’s a party going on downstairs just for you,” Colby reminded you before rejoining his lips with yours.
“I’m sure they won’t miss us for a little bit and anyway it’s Sam’s birthday too so they can celebrate him until we get back down there.”
“Sounds like a plan, princess.”

A/N for this chapter: we’ve reached the end, you guys! I don’t know if I’m ever writing for Hotch again, since I don’t really think anyone even read this series, but sharing it with the world was very important to me, since the whole story was so personal. If you do end up reading it and reaching the final chapter, I hope it resonated with you somehow. Thanks for reading!
Y/N’s P.O.V.
Three months passed in the blink of an eye and the well I had hid in for so long was nowhere to be found. Between Penelope’s ever-present banter, Rossi’s pasta nights and overall, the support of my friends - that made the BAU seem more like a family than a job - I was feeling better than I had felt in years.
But of course, most of my progress was to be thanked to a certain SSA Aaron Hotchner - and Jack had a big part in it, too. Both had welcomed me not only into their home, but into their lives, to a point where it was hard to remember what Friday nights used to look like away from them, without pizzas and Disney movies. I never went back to living in my apartment. Aaron never mentioned it, and apart from the two visits we had made right after I moved in with them, to gather more of my clothing I’d left behind, I hadn’t even been there in a while.
In fact, I had been gathering the courage to talk about it with my boyfriend for the last week or so. I knew we’d need to have this conversation eventually, and when the opportunity arose via us wrapping up a case that was supposed to last all weekend, leaving Jack with his aunt while we could have the house to ourselves, I knew it was now or never.
“I still can’t believe we were able to solve this before Sunday,” Aaron said, that cute tiny smile on his lips as he opened the door to his house.
“Yeah,” I agreed. “It still feels weird not going to pick Jack up, though.” My boyfriend nodded, turning around to face him after he’d dropped his briefcase over the sofa.
“I know. But it’s already too late to wake him and Jessica up just to bring him home. We’ll get him in the morning.” I nodded, mostly because this was perfect for my intentions for the evening, but still, I missed the little guy.
“Aaron,” I started when he opened the fridge in search of something we could eat. He hummed to let me know he was listening, but despite the fact that I wanted to start talking while he was otherwise occupied with other stuff, just so I wouldn’t have to deal with the added weight of his impenetrable eyes on my figure, the words didn’t leave my mouth fast enough. Obviously, he took notice, which only made him immediately turn around to look at me, where I was sitting by the breakfast table, trying not to look incredibly guilty as I met his eyes.
“What’s wrong?” It was hard not to giggle at how quickly he went into dad mode at the prospect of any trouble. It helped to clear the air and release some of the tension I had accumulated in my body.
“Nothing’s wrong, silly. I just have something I need to talk to you about.” He nodded, opting to reheat some leftover pasta I had made a few nights before we left over trying to create something from scratch this late in the evening.
“Tell me.” He was stirring the pot where the pasta had been deposited as he waited for me to begin, but I knew his concentration was completely focused on me. I had to recognize how incredible he was, not only as a boyfriend, but also as a profiler. It was clear that he was aware of how much easier it would be for me to open up if he had the premise of another task in his mind, keeping his eyes away from me.
“My landlord called me this week.” And there it went. All pretense was suddenly dropped as his head immediately whipped up to stare at me with a frown on his handsome face, clenching the pot with much more strength than it was really necessary.. “My lease is about to end, I have to sign the renewal soon. I figured it’s the perfect time to talk about me returning to my apartment.”
At first, he didn’t say anything, simply stared back at me with unreadable eyes. And then we smelled something funny. “Oh my God, Aaron, stir the pot and lower the heat!” I directed after finally realising what was going on. I jumped out of the chair to help him, but by the time I had made my way around the counter and inside the kitchen, the situation had been diffused and the pasta was done. “Is it still edible?” I joked, peering up from his side to check if there was still some salvaged part of the food, but it looked mostly alright. Maybe only the bottom part was burnt.
He didn’t answer me, not even offering a chuckle to lighten up the mood. But he did plate up the now warm pasta, picking up both dishes and walking to the table without a single glance at me. It was clear he was deep in his thoughts, so I figured it’d be best to allow him time to get to any conclusions he might reach by himself, opting to simply follow him and take my place where he laid my plate, silently starting to eat while keeping an eye on him.
It was only after my second bite of food that he said something, and it wasn’t what I was expecting to hear.
“Aren’t you happy here?” The question caught me so by surprise that I dropped my fork against the plate, immediately flinching from the loud sound that echoed around the empty living room in the middle of the night.
“Of course I am, Aaron.” I didn’t understand how he could for even a minute doubt that. Didn’t he see how much better I was? How he had managed to help me get back to normal?
“Then why do you want to leave?” If the other question took me by surprise, this one completely astounded me. I couldn’t even offer an immediate answer, because I was in no way prepared for it.
Finally, I settled for, “I never said I wanted to leave, honey. It’s just that I figured it’s a natural evolution for our situation. I’m better now, and I have my own apartment. Why should I stay here?” It was like he had barely heard me, by the way he immediately countered my question with one of his own.
Aaron’s P.O.V.
“Well, do you want to?” She looked lost, her mouth opening a few times before she settled on what she wanted to say.
“Want to what?” She looked so confused, fidgeting with the edge of her skirt while she bit her lip. I had to lean down and deposit a quick kiss on her mouth, not only because I always wanted to kiss her, but also because I knew it helped her relax. When I saw her shoulders relax, I covered her hands with mine, pulling them up on the table so I could keep holding them more comfortably.
“Do you want to stay here?” I finally clarified, watching attentively for her reactions. At first, she looked surprised, her mouth falling open and her eyes widening at my question, but in seconds she gathered her thoughts and bit her lips, avoiding my eyes before nodding, a sheepish smile on her lips.
A huge grin immediately appeared on my face, as I watched her come to senses with what I had just asked. When she finally found enough courage in herself to look up at me again, I threw myself at her, capturing her lips in a deep, passionate kiss.
I couldn’t remember the last time I’d been this happy. Watching Y/N come back to her natural state was already relieving, as it was to have her around all the time, especially when it came to help me take care of Jack, but to know that she wanted to be here indefinitely, that she had agreed to live with us? I was over the moon.
When we separated to catch our breaths, she was flushed again, and it was clear she was trying very hard to keep her eyes on mine.
“What?” I asked, certain I had a goofy smile on my face. She bit her lip once more, making me groan. “Stop that, pretty girl,” I teased, pulling her bottom lip from its confine. She rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless. “Now tell, me, what is it that you want?”
The atmosphere of the room had changed, it was clear now. Whereas it had felt cold only a few minutes ago, when I thought she wanted to leave me, it felt absurdly hot out of nowhere, and I had half a mind to rip her dress off of her. So when she answered me with a soft, “You,” I knew exactly what she meant.
I immediately stood up from my chair, reaching out to help her leave hers too, but instead of walking hand in hand towards our room - it was our room, now, I reminded myself with a smile - I couldn’t deal with the prospect of spending another second separated from her skin, so I took her in my embrace, kissing her in celebration of the next steps in our relationship we were taking together, tonight.
We made out like two teenagers right there, in the middle of my living room, and when the fire that was growing inside of me rose up to my head, I found myself pulling on her dress and taking it off her body, not caring to notice where it ended up. The second her skin became available to me, I lost the last of the control I was still trying to keep, and pulled her by her ass to wrap her legs around me so I could at least take her to our bedroom before I had my way with her, like I’d been dreaming to do for so long.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
As soon as Aaron carefully laid me down on his bed I was already sitting up, reaching for his shirt. I’d been dreaming about this for so long, long before he ever showed any interest in me. Of course, back then it made me embarrassed - I never thought I’d be the girl with a crush on her boss - but after we came clear about our feelings, the only reason why I didn’t immediately jump his bones was because he wanted to wait for me to get better. And which person wouldn’t melt with that?
Only now that waiting time was over, I couldn’t get him undressed fast enough. It was nice to see him with a teasing smile, looking down at me with that mischievous glint in his eye as he realized just how much I wanted him, when in our day-to-day life outside this house he was always so serious.
“Someone’s eager,” he jested, and I stuck my tongue out at him.
“I expected you to be too, or should I be worried about you not being attracted to me?” The question was made in all good humour, but Aaron clearly did not appreciate it. His smile immediately dropped, and before I could say anything to make it better, he was crawling up on the bed, making himself at home between my legs.
“Don’t even joke about this,” he whispered, dark eyes studying mine just like he did whenever we were alone before he captured my lips in a deep kiss that was equal parts possession and affection. “Do you feel this?” He pressed himself against me, and I could feel exactly what he was referring to. “I’m always so hard around you, sweetheart. You have no idea how difficult it has been to live with you and not be able to touch you like I’ve been dreaming of.”
His words made me whine, clutching his back so he’d lay more of his weight on me. For someone who was as quiet as Aaron usually was, I wasn’t expecting him to be so comfortable in sharing his desires with me, but it only made me appreciate it even more.
“Well, I’m here now, aren’t I? And you’re not doing a good job of taking advantage of this opportunity at all.” He smirked teasingly at me, getting out of the bed to take off his clothes until all he had on was his boxers. Then he was back between my legs, pressing his hardness against me with even more fervor as he devoured my lips once more.
Aaron’s P.O.V.
“I’ll show you how well I can take advantage of you, little girl.” She whined once more, making me chuckle as I slowly left her lips to continue pressing kisses on her jaw, until I was sucking on her pulse point, marking her as mine. I’d never been one for leaving bruises before, too worried about the consequences came the morning time, but in that moment I’d damn all the consequences just to have her, own her, make sure she’d never forget how it felt to be together like this for the first time.
I didn’t want to have to learn how to be without her again. She was a part of me now, a part of my life and I liked it better with her around. I liked me better with her around. So I made sure to make the most out of this opportunity, when I finally had her exactly where I wanted, to imprint her taste in my mouth, memorize the smell of her skin.
As I kissed every inch of skin my lips could meet, she danced underneath me, desperately trying to create some friction between us, in that wet heat I could hardly wait to encounter again. So I granted it to her, rubbing my clothed cock on her pussy as hard as I could while ripping off her bra, exposing her beautiful breasts to me for the first time.
My mouth watered at the sight, and I immediately enclosed one pebbled nipple with my lips, circling it with my tongue before sucking on it lightly. At her pleased gasp, accompanied by one of her hands, which she tangled in my hair, I doubled my efforts, sucking a bit harder, until I heard her moaning sweetly above me.
The sound went straight to my crotch, and I lifted myself off one breast to stare up at her, take in the beauty that was seeing her like this, slightly out of breath, her lips bruised from my nibbling.
“You’re perfect,” I let her know, and when she smiled I leaned down to give the other breast the same treatment. God, she tasted sweet. If her skin was this delicious, I could only imagine how delightful it would be to bury my face in between her thighs, drinking in her essence.
But I wouldn’t have to imagine it much longer. Slowly, determined to kiss each inch of skin along the way, I created a pathway of kisses and bruises down her stomach, appreciating the shiver that went up her spine at the feeling of my nose caressing her lower belly.
“You’re so beautiful, love,” I insisted in reminding her, knowing how hard it was for her to believe me - or anyone else - when it came to her qualities, but she needed to learn about her own beauty. I’d teach her to recognize it.
“Aaron, please…” Now, I’d heard a lot of sexy things in my life - most of them from her own lips, ever since we’d started dating - but nothing had ever come near the sound of her begging me to give her some release. It made me lose my infamous control, it turned me into that same man I’d become when I had her over my lap, writhing with the need to feel my touch on her skin.
“That’s not how you call me, is it, sweetheart?” I asked, looking up at her from my spot between her thighs, while I sensuously kissed the soft skin there. Her eyes sparkled with understanding, and while she tried to control the instinctual need to raise her hips to try and get me to touch her where she really needed, she finally said the words I’d been dying to hear again.
“Please, daddy, I need you.” That was all I needed to plunge into her waiting heat. Just like I’d anticipated, she tasted heavenly. Syrupy sweet and incredibly addicting. I wanted to bathe in her essence, drown in it.
It didn’t help my animalistic instincts that every swipe of my tongue over her little clit elicited the most musical moans from her perfect lips, which only served to further incentive me to bury my tongue as far as it could go inside of her weeping hole. My nose was the one massaging her nub while I struggled to get every drop of wetness I could collect, further aided by my head’s movements as I enthusiastically moved around, eating her out hungrily.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
Aaron was so starved for my cunt that all of a sudden, his hands came up to grab the cheeks of my ass, helping him better angle my body to how he desired to be able to fully appreciate his meal. It was dirty and sinful, but it was exactly what I needed after so many nights dreaming about his touch on me.
I was so wet I could feel it dripping from my lower lips, smearing my thighs and tarnishing the duvet underneath me. It didn’t seem like he minded, though. It was more for him to lap, and I had to grab the covers to try to keep my mind from going insane.
“Daddy…” I moaned, desperate for release as my whole body trembled underneath him. Aaron didn’t even look up, still too busy with my pussy, and I had to say it out loud so I could get his permission. “Wanna cum.”
That made him look up at me, but only his gaze went up to meet mine, his face remaining buried against me, never stopping his incessant licking. “Come on, love. Come for me.” As always, I followed his order without any amount of hesitation.
It wasn’t like I could control it, anyway. My body didn’t belong to me anymore, it was his, his to take, to care for, to love and to deal with, when necessary. And I trusted him to take good care of it.
So far, so good. He finally came up for air as my muscles relaxed, making me fall slack against the sweat-drenched mattress. Kissing his way up my body, he kissed me on the lips with fervor when our lips finally met, his long fingers immediately finding their way inside of my still sensitive cunt.
“Daddy…” I whined, feeling too raw yet to be able to deal with any part of him inside of me, but he was having none of it. Although he immediately retreated the finger, it was only to slap my pussy so I’d stop trying to close my legs around him, conceding all the access to my body once again.
As soon as my legs fell open, he was pushing it inside of me again, only this time there were two of them. Despite how wet I was, the thickness was already far more than I was used to, but the stretch felt wonderful, making me feel full like I couldn’t remember ever feeling before.
Over me, I heard Aaron curse, prompting me to open my eyes again (when had I even closed them?) only to find him focused where his fingers were carefully exploring. “You’re so tight, sweetheart. How long has it been since you’ve had sex?”
The question made me giggle, knowing he didn’t really need an answer. But the truth was, it’d been over a year. I couldn’t even remember the last time I had sex with my ex, and since it had been a while before we broke up, I knew Aaron would really need the time to prep me up to take him.
Just the memory of how his cock felt underneath me, straining in his trousers when he had me over his lap, had a new wave of wetness flooring from within me. My boyfriend sucked in a breath, clearly hypnotized by the way the added lubricant helped him ease his digits in.
Aaron’s P.O.V.
I was transfixed, completely in love with the way her pussy gripped my fingers every time I pulled them back only to push in again. Although it didn’t help my growing need to repeat the action with my cock, it did fill me with some kind of satisfaction by itself. I was the one doing this to her, I was the one giving her this pleasure. She was creaming around my fingers.
So I kept on my shallow thrusts until I could see it wasn’t enough for her. I saw it in the way she pushed back to meet my digits. I saw it in the whines she was emitting, which only served to make me even harder for her. Finally, she was the one who broke me out of my reverie, downright begging me, “Please, Aaron, please. I wanna cum around your cock. Please.”
Who could possibly deny such a request? I recognized that I was known for my control, but I still had needs, like any person. And right then, all I needed was her. So I pulled away, just enough so that I was able to pull my boxers down and wrap my hand around my member, trying to relieve some of the tension.
The vision before me more than helped. It was better than porn, certainly better than anything my mind could create, seeing Y/N like that, completely naked, heaving and wet because of me.
I knew birth control wasn’t a concern, so I just leaned over her again, rubbing the head of my cock on her clit and appreciating the desperate moan that resonated around the room before I dragged it down and pushed in.
Immediately, the feeling of tightness and warmth made me gasp, and I almost lost my balance and fell on top of her body, but her own hands flew up to hold me by my hips, freezing me in place. She didn’t say anything, but from her whimper, it was clear that she was in pain, so as much as I was trembling with the urge to push all the way inside of her, I breathed deeply and rested my forehead on hers.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. You’re okay. I know it hurts, I’m going slowly, okay? Give you time to get used to it.” She nodded, eyes squeezed shut while I delivered quick kisses all over her face. I tried to pull back slightly and push in only a little bit further, and she seemed to adjust to that, her hands coming around my torso to hug me to her.
“Slowly,” she repeated in a whisper, still not opening her eyes.
“Slowly,” I agreed, kissing her temple and keeping up with the ritual of sliding back and pushing in again, until I was able to bottom out. “Fuck, daddy!” The whiny tone of her voice only added to my arousal, and I exchanged my kisses for little bites all over her neck.
“Does it feel good, baby? Can I move?” I asked, fascinated by the taste of her sweat on my tongue. I wanted to lap it up, just like I had done to her wetness minutes before, but the ache in my groin reminded me there were more pressing urges to be fulfilled now.
“Yes, Yes! Please, move!” That was all I was waiting for to start thrusting in and out of her. It was an incredible feeling. It’d been so long since I’d felt this connected to someone. It felt amazing. She felt amazing. Such a strong feeling of belonging, of true love coursed through my body that all I wanted to do was to kiss the breathing air out of her lungs.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
I held on Aaron’s body like it was my lifeboat, and in many ways, I supposed he was precisely that. He’d been patient when I needed, firm when I desired it and now he was filling me in ways I’d never felt before.
It was such an overwhelming feeling, to be this connected to someone. The thought prompted me to finally open my eyes, only to find his already fixed on mine. “You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, and I felt my heart grow twice its size before I pulled him to meet my lips again.
“So are you,” I mumbled against his mouth, and he chuckled breathlessly, still fucking me deeply against the mattress, prompting me to run my nails over his back, making him curse. Believe me, there was nothing hotter than hearing Aaron Hotcher curse while being balls deep into you.
“I don’t ever want to leave you,” he confessed, and I knew he was referring to the act we were currently partaking in, but I couldn’t help but to run my fingers through his hair, softly responding, “Then dont.”
The mood suddenly changed, and so did his thrusts. They became slower, but more meaningful, somehow. His forehead fell to mine, his lips but an inch from mine when he answered, “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I won’t.”
I knew we’d still have so much to overcome, so much to fight for, but the fact was that we’d be doing it together. I knew that now, as I felt him move inside of me, bringing me to new heights of pleasure, his hands finding mine and holding them by my side, in bed. This, right here, wouldn’t solve everything, but it brought me a sense of belonging I’d never been able to experience before.
And at the end of the day, I knew that all I wanted was to belong to Aaron for the rest of my life.

Kim Seokjin x Reader ~ Don’t Tell Mummy [Request]
>>> Word Count: 2,978
>>> Genre: Floffy, familyAU
>>> Pairing: Kim Seokjin x Reader
>>> A/N: Hope this is something you were thinking of! Love you!! Also! I hope no one is afraid of requesting something that isn’t angst from me, I’d love to write more than the usual I do! So I hope this is okay!!
You loved the fact that your husband was an Idol, you didn't mind that it meant he spent a lot of time away from home because he was doing what he loved. When he was on tour you were normally at home with your daughter, but most of the time you would fly around the world with him. You had done for the first two years of your daughter's life, neither you or Jin wanted her to think someone was missing from her life and so whenever he had to go out on tour he took you with him. It was chaotic at first but you all adapted to the new lifestyle and everyone on the team got to know your daughter as she grew up. It was getting harder now she was four years old, she had to stay home for lessons so you didn't get to spend a lot of time with Jin but you made sure she saw her dad every day, having skype sessions together before she went to bed at night.
"She's growing up too quickly, make it stop." He groaned as she fell asleep in your lap, you giggled to your phone picking it up and taking it and your daughter up to her bedroom.
"It's her birthday in one week, have you managed to get the time off?" You questioned, laying your daughter down against her princess bed and tucking her in. Jin sighed on the other end of the phone which meant no.
"It's okay, we can celebrate again when you're back. She might be young but she understands how awesome her dad is." You admitted, turning on the small nightlight for her and cleaning up toys as you backed your way out of her room.
"What about you, do you understand how awesome I am?" You scoffed at him, quietly shutting the door and going to your bedroom.
"I wouldn't have married you if I didn't know how awesome you were would I?" You teased, taking him into the en-suite and brushing your teeth. He stared at you the whole time, watching as you smiled cheekily at him just like you used to when you first started dating.
"Brings back memories, me getting up while you're just going to bed." He admitted, laying back down against the hotel sheets and staring at you through his phone screen.
"Maybe it's why this is so easy." You told him as you rinsed out your mouth, turning off the light and climbing into the bed that seemed massive without him beside you.
"Maybe." He whispered back to you, watching as you snuggled down against his pillow and smiled to yourself. He missed being able to fall asleep next to you, waking up to you drooling on his chest or to your daughter sitting on his lap and begging for his famous pancakes in the mornings.
"You'll be home soon anyway, so it's going to be okay." You reassured him, knowing how he would get if you didn't. He's talked about it before, how he was scared that because he was touring a lot you would lose the spark in your relationship but you assured him that him being away for long periods meant that when he did come back more time would be spent together reigniting any flame he thought would have gone away but it never would. You'd fallen in love with him when you were younger and it wasn't going to change now, you were married with a daughter. Nothing would change your love for that man. Nothing would change his love for you.
"You have a busy day, I love you." You yawned to him and he smirked, he loved that you knew his schedule better than he did.
"I love you, sleep well." You hummed and he hung up the phone, swinging his legs out of the bed and going to get ready for his day.
"How was your day?" You asked as you daughter came running towards you, bookbag in her hand and her lunchbox in the other. Her teacher called your name and you waited, standing your daughter in front of you as she said goodbye to each of her friends that passed by.
"Is everything okay?" You quizzed the teacher as she came to your side, pulling you both out of the way of passing parents.
"It seems that her birthday is coming up and we were wondering if the other students were okay to make a cake for her. We always ask in case there are any allergies we should be aware of." You looked at the teacher and then down at your daughter who was too busy waving at her friends to pay attention to the conversation,
"I actually booked her the day off, I know it isn't practical but her dad can't make it home so we're going to skype him." The teacher nodded, completely understanding. The school was made for children of Idol's and she was used to this sort of thing.
"That's fine, I'll make sure her card is ready the day before then." You smiled and started walking hand in hand with your daughter out of the gates,
"Are we going home?" She questioned as you got the car, putting her into her car seat and shaking your head.
"Mummy has to stop at the studio for something first, but then we'll go home I promise." She smiled and nodded her head eagerly at you, you smirked and got into the driver's side.
Jin had asked you to call by the studios to get something he and Namjoon had been working on and you felt uneasy going into Namjoon's studio without him there so you called him.
"I'm going in now, where is it?" You questioned watching as your daughter sat on the sofa that was outside the studios, she was going through her bookbag so you assumed she was going to sit and read while you did something for her uncle.
"Should be in the PC." He told you as you headed inside. As soon as your daughter knew you were inside the room she jumped down from the sofa, sprinting as fast as her tiny legs would carry her in the direction of her Uncle PD's office.
She banged repeatedly on the door until he opened the door and looked down in her direction,
"Excuse me." She ordered, pushing past his legs and sitting in front of his desk on one of the chairs. Something she'd seen Jin doing a lot, and he chuckled going to his side and sitting in front of her.
"What can I do for you?" She slammed an envelope on his desk and slid it over to him.
"I want this to get to my daddy, mummy and I miss him very much." She said to him, looking over her shoulder to make sure you hadn't found out where she was just yet.
"And what is it?" He questioned, opening it and reading through the childlike handwriting,
"Something for the boss man and dad to see...Don't tell mummy, it's a secret." She said to him, hearing you calling her name. PD tapped his nose and shut the envelope into his top drawer. Making plans to try and decipher it later when you'd left the studio.
"Shit, I'm so sorry." You said to Jin's boss, bowing as you reached for your daughter trying to get her to leave the office,
"She's okay, she was just telling me about how much she wants to be an Idol when she grows up." She winked at him and you both left the office. You scolding her for running off after you told her to stay where you'd left her.
"Can we have ice cream when we get home?" She pleaded, looking up at you with the same puppy dog eyes that Jin used to give you when he wanted something.
"Maybe."
Something had been off for the last week, Jin had been avoiding your calls like the plague and you couldn't get through to any of the other boys. You put it down to them being busy but it just didn't feel right, especially with your daughters birthday being tomorrow morning.
"Sorry baby, daddy must be really busy." You told her as you tucked her into bed that night, finding one of her favourite books and reading it to her instead of Jin talking to her.
"It's okay mum, he's famous and busy." You smiled at her and closed the book, pulling the blanket over her and kissed her forehead. You don't know how you managed to raise such a smart and beautiful daughter but you were glad you'd done such a great job so far. Wishing she didn't have to get any older than four.
"His worldwide handsome...You know." She mumbled as she turned over in her bed, you groaned reminding yourself to never show her old videos again.
"Goodnight princess." You whispered to her as you backed out of the room, quietly shutting the door and trying to ring Jin again but it was going to answerphone.
"I know you're busy, call me when you get this." You hung up and crawled into bed.
"Y/n? Are you there?!" You giggled down the phone as your daughter ran around in the new princess dress you and Jin had gotten her for her birthday, it matched the one you were wearing. The plan was to have you dressed as a Queen while Jin was king and your daughter was a princess.
"Yeah, sorry. What's wrong?" You questioned Jimin, he'd been calling you all morning but you'd only just seen your phone. Deciding to give your daughter the best birthday breakfast you could both cook and then watched her favourite Disney movie before letting her open her presents.
"You have to go to BigHit, right now. I can't talk about it but please just hurry, it's an emergency." Every single happy moment was struck from your body and your mind was filled with panic,
"I'll go right now." You whispered hanging up the phone and looking around, no one was going to be able to babysit so you were going to have to take your daughter with you.
"We have to go and see Uncle PD, come on." You said, trying to fake as much enthusiasm as you could manage while your mind raced with awful thoughts. What if something had happened to Jin while they were out on tour and that's why he hadn't called you?
"What's going on mum?" Your daughter asked as you rushed to put her into the car seat,
"Nothing, but we have to go right now." You got into the car and started up the engine, not caring that you were still dressed up as a queen, the only thing that mattered was finding out if everything was okay with Jin.
"What's going on? Is Jin okay?!" You asked as a stylist dragged you through the building, she looked sad which only made your mind race more.
"This way." You bent down to pick up your daughter who was struggling to keep up with you and the stylist, had hung onto your hip as you were pulled through the halls and let into the small garden area of the building. A giant bouncy castle standing there, kids running around everywhere and screaming once they saw your daughter.
"What-"
"PD organised everything..." The stylist told you, your daughter kicked out of your arms and ran towards her friends, all screaming her name and pulling her into a tight hug.
"He did?" She nodded and handed you a letter,
"She gave him this."
Uncle PD,
I would like it very much if you let my daddy come home for my birthday, mummy is very sad...though she doesn't tell me that but, I've walked in on her crying because he won't be home for my birthday. Please bring him home and I will work for you and not JinHit when I'm older.
Thank you,
Ps...This is a secret don't tell mum
You teared up after reading the letter, she'd seen you crying? You never wanted her to see that. You were just over-emotional because she was growing up too quickly.
"We have a surprise for the birthday girl." Someone said into a mic, you looked up to see Bang PD dressed up as a jester, something you never thought you would see for as long as you would live.
"If the Queen would come and stand with the Princess." You nodded and walked over to your daughter, placing your hands on her shoulders as she danced around giddily.
Everyone started singing happy birthday to her and you smiled as they wheeled out a giant cake on a tray, you smiled at Bang PD who was wheeling the cake in and singing.
"Make a wish." You whispered in your daughter's ear, she looked up at you before closing her eyes tightly.
"I wish for daddy to come home." You squeezed her shoulder and she blew out the candles, everyone clapping and cheering.
The bouncy castle was a huge success, your daughter and all of the kids were jumping and sliding all day, and you were still sad that Jin wasn't there to experience it with you, but you knew he was there in spirit.
"She's getting too big and too smart for her own good," Jin said, wrapping his arms around your waist and making you jump up and turn around.
"Jin?" He held his finger up to his lips and pulled you inside of the building,
"It's a surprise, I'm gonna go down the slide and surprise her." He chuckled staring at you, you touched his cheek and he chuckled. You wanted to make sure he was really there and it wasn't some kind of sugar high you were experiencing from the cake.
"You're really here right...I'm not just too doped up on sugar and fizzy drinks?" He nodded and you wrapped your arms around his neck, just leaning your forehead against his and wanting to stay there for as long as possible.
"I missed you." He whispered, kissing your nose making you giggle.
"I missed you too." You let go of him and he linked your hands together, nodding to the building. Both of you walking hand in hand around the building while you caught up on where he'd been.
"He showed me the letter and the plans, I'd been avoiding you all week because I can't lie to you." He said as you reached Namjoon's studio, you stared at him still in disbelief that he was standing there.
"How will I make you believe I'm here?" You smirked at him, wiggling your eyebrows at him.
"I have a way."
"Not in my office you don't!" You heard Namjoon say from inside, you opened the door to see him dressed up in a Prince costume.
"We all got dressed up for the occasion." He said staring at Jin who was sniggering from beside you, you bit down on your lip. Making plans to get photos of each member in their outfits later.
"I don't know how I'll be able to thank you all," You told Namjoon as he straightened the blazer.
"Your buying food later," He told you, leaving the studio and locking the door so neither you or Jin could go inside.
"We wouldn't really go in there." You shouted as he walked away, which was a huge lie because you and Jin both knew it was where your daughter was made.
"Let's just go and get you ready. I need my king." You giggled to him, he leant down and kissed your lips softly. Nothing dramatic but it still made your stomach flip whenever he did it.
Keeping secrets wasn't your kind of thing so you made sure you stayed silent when you went back out into the garden area, your daughter sitting with her friends as they drank milkshakes and had some more cake.
"Is that a Princess I see?" You heard Jungkook yell dramatically, everyone turned to see him standing by the door and holding a wooden sword.
"A dragon too!" Namjoon yelled pointing over at Jimin who was dressed in his dinosaur onesie roaring and scaring the kids, you held your hand across your face as you felt the cringe coming in.
"We'll save you!" Hoseok and Yoongi yelled in sync, you looked over at your daughter who was smiling so much you were sure her cheeks were going to hurt later.
"The King should save her!" Namjoon yelled pointing up to the top of the bouncy castle, everyone turned to look at Jin who was wearing a cape, crown and carrying a sword.
"The King has arrived!" Jin yelled sliding down the slide and walking over to your daughter, she gripped onto his leg and screamed happily.
"I will defeat the dragon." Jin walked over to Jimin and stared down at him,
"Do you promise to be kind?" Jimin nodded and that was it, it was over and everyone went back to playing happily.
"My hero." You yelled as you walked over to Jin and hugged him, your daughter smiling at you both and high fiving Bang PD.
"I don't like that she's sneaky like you." You told Jin as she grabbed her dad into a tight hug.
"Like me? She gets this from you!" He yelled jokingly making your daughter giggle and run over to her uncle Namjoon, you sighed and stared up at Jin.
"When do you go back?" You questioned him, he looked down at you with a sad smile.
"Two weeks, but at least we have now." You nodded in agreement and kissed him quickly while no one was looking.
"I love you, King Jin," You giggled.
"I love you too my queen."

Run. (Pt. 6)
Part One /Part Two / Part Three / Part Four / Part Five
Words: 1265 Pairing: Tony Stark & Reader Timeline: The Avengers [2012] Other Info: Run AU Summary: A month has passed since the Battle Of New York, and Tony decides that it’s about time for Reader to meet the team. So they host a party for the Avengers at their place.
June 2012
“Promise me that you won’t take it personal if some of them don’t come.” You begged Tony. The two of you were in your bedroom getting ready for the party you were throwing to celebrate the Avenger’s first victory as a team.
“If some of them don’t come?” Tony repeated. “Why wouldn’t they come? Who wouldn’t come to a party someone was throwing in their honor? A Stark party no less.” Tony adjusted the tie he’d just knotted around his neck. It was one of his favorites, silk and hot rod red in color. His suit was a simple black one he’d worn it a hundred times, but it fit him nicely.
“Do you think that no one is going to come?” With expert precision he put on his custom-made Iron Man cufflinks. They’d been a birthday gift from you a couple years ago. You’d worked with a jeweler to design these small arch reactors out of sapphires. It was flashy and very Tony and he loved them.
“Gosh, you’re beautiful.” He moved across the room towards you and held your face in his hands. “Have you always been so beautiful?” Tony planted a kiss on your lips.
“Have you always been so cheesy?” You asked him, kissing him again. “Help me zip up my dress so then we can say goodnight to the kids.” You turned around so that your back was to Tony.
“Which sitter did you call again? The one who reads to them in German or the one who won’t let them watch TV?” Tony zipped up your dress.
“I called Clara.” You reminded him. “She’s the one that Eddie loves because she knows all the words to all the Disney songs and Rina loves her because she lets her play with her make up.”
“Clara right. The one who doesn’t drive.” Tony nodded.
You and Tony walked hand in hand to the kid’s playroom. Eddie was sitting on the floor playing with his building blocks, Clara the babysitter was sitting across from him. Serina was sitting in a child sized armchair that she was almost too big for. She was skimming a Harry Potter book, her favorite in the series that she had read multiple times.
“I don’t understand why I can’t come to the party.” Serina looked up from her book when you and Tony entered the room. “I want to meet Tony’s friends too.”
“They’re not my friends, Ballerina, they’re more like…coworkers.” Tony said, kissing his stepdaughter on the forehead. “And I agree with your mom that tonight is not the best night for you guys to be introduced to everyone. At least not yet.”
“Fine.” Serina rolled her eyes. “Can you do me a favor at least?” Serina pulled out two baseball cards from her pockets. They were vintage Captain America ones, just one the ones Phil Coulson had once collected. “A boy in my class, Kevin, He said I could keep one of these if I got them autographed by Captain America. Do you think that you could maybe ask him for me?” She held out the cards to Tony.
“What?” He took the cards from Serina and tucked them in his jacket pocket. “No one wants an autograph of your old man?” He pretended to be offended.
“The kids in my class know I can get your autograph anytime.” Serina rolled her eyes again. “Plus, you’re coming to class next month for career day remember? Can you get me Captain America’s autograph, please?”
“Consider it done.” Tony promised.
You and Tony hugged and kissed your kids goodnight. You both reminded them how much you loved them and promised to come in and check on them throughout the duration of the party. Tony mixed up a set of drinks and slid a chilled glass your way. The penthouse doorbell rang and your first guest had arrived. Tony led them around on an enthusiastic tour until they joined you in the living room.
“Doctor Bruce Banner I would like you to meet my absolutely gorgeous and intelligent wife, [Y/N].” Bruce Banner crossed the room and offered you a hand to shake. Tony slipped out of the room as the doorbell rang again.
“It’s wonderful to finally meet the illusive Mrs. Stark.” Bruce said, as you shook his hand. “The team is really excited to introduce themselves. Tony’s done a pretty good job of keeping you away from us thus far.”
“With good reason, Dr. Banner. We don’t invite just anyone into our family.” You commented, sipping from your drink.
“You know, Tony this is exactly the kind of place I pictured you living in.” A new voice joined you in the living room. “Ah, you must be Mrs. Stark.” Steve Rogers looked exactly like the photos and artist sketches you’d grown up seeing in museums and history books. His chiseled chin was a bit softer than photos could capture and his eyes were softer, more inviting but he was every bit the Captain America of legends.
“Oh, please just, [Y/N], I insist.” You invited, shaking hands with the Captain. “Actually, while you’re here, there’s something I have to show you. Come along Doctor Banner you too.”
“Oh, Sweetheart they don’t want to see that…” Tony called out. You ignored him and led your guests out of the room. In the main hallway just off the living room there was a poster you wanted to show Captain Rogers.
“When we first got married, I went through storage and I had a bunch of Howard and Tony’s schematics and drawings framed.” You Gestured to the walls where the invention designs were hanging.
“The first year is paper anniversary.” Dr. Banner recalled.
“I remember this one. Saw it in person.” Captain Rogers pointed to one of Howard’s drawings. It was the blueprint for a flying car.
“But the crown jewel in our poster collection and what I wanted you to see, is this original 1940s propaganda poster of a certain Captain. See Tony won’t admit this to anyone but growing up he had one hero.” You arrived at the poster and stepped aside to let Steve and Bruce see it.
“Is this an original?” Captain Rogers started to reach out to touch the poster, but still a few inches for even though the poster was protected with glass. “I mean not a printed copy, that’s a real pen and ink sketch?” He asked excitedly. You wouldn’t find out until much later that Steve loved art.
“I think it’s pencil, but yes. It seems Howard kept quite a few of the preliminary designs. They’re worth thousands, especially ones like this design that never ended up being mass produced. We have a few extras; I’ll have to have one sent to you.” You decided. “But I wanted you to see this because you’re all a team.” You looked away from the photo to Steve and Bruce. “And if you’re Tony’s team, then you’re his family. He’s going to treat you like his family whether you want him to or not. And if you’re Tony’s family, that makes you my family. Tony can be eccentric, he can be difficult, but he’s also the most loyal person you’ll ever meet. You two seem like you have the best heads on your shoulders so I’m trusting my husband’s safety to you two. You make sure he comes home after every mission. I know he’s going to get hurt doing what you do, so you promise me that when he does, I’m the first call you make. Am I clear?”
“Yes Ma’am.” Steve gulped.

Forever is a long time - WillNE
Title: Forever is a long time People: WillNE x reader Word count: 1,549 Warnings: n/a Songs to listen to: n/a Prompt/request: Anon requested: Hi! Please can I request a really fluffy Will one shot? It can be anything I just need more cute Will haha 😂 A/N: I hope this is okay! I tried to make it as fluffy as I could, but it didn’t quite turn out how I wanted it.
Will was someone who you had never expected to be the romantic type, sure he flirted with you a lot and sent you cute messages in the morning for you to wake up to but he was very secretive when it came to relationships, it took your friends nearly a full year to figure out that you two had far crossed the line from being just friends. But despite Will’s preference to keep everything between you two, he was one of the softest and sweetest boys you had ever had the pleasure of loving.
Opening your eyes on a particularly frosty Wednesday, you take in your surroundings, beige wallpaper, a desk full of recording equipment and two strong arms wrapped protectively around you. Will. You smile and turn around to face him and was pleasantly surprised to find out that he was already wide awake and had recently showered, his gorgeous brown locks still slightly damp and a few strands sticking to his forehead.
“Mornin’ love,” he says softly, brushing a strand of hair out of your face and gently tucks it behind your ear.
“Morning handsome,” you reply just as softly, leaning into his touch, closing your eyes.
“Nuh huh, I’ll be having none of that, you need to get up we have things to do,” Will shakes you awake, his voice normal volume and he laughs loudly when you let out a groan and try to bury yourself under the covers which he rudely pulls away from you.
“Will it’s my day off! What could we possibly need to do at half ten in the morning? Its lie-in day!” You complain.
“Hush woman, just get your pretty ass out of bed and get a shower because quite frankly, you stink,” he says playfully, but pulls you out of bed and pushes you in the direction of the bathroom.
“I need clothes, William,” you chide, trying to turn around.
“They’re already in there, now stop fighting me before I Batista bomb you to assert my alpha male dominance,”
He wasn’t joking.
“Fine, if you want to get rid of me that much, jeez,” you chuckle before stepping into the bathroom and locking the door in an ultimate power move.
Walking towards the shower you start it up before waiting for it to warm up, as you stand and wait you notice a bag on the toilet seat lid, you peek inside and find brand new lingerie and pyjamas that you had been eyeing up in the store about a week ago.
“Oh Will,” you sigh happily.
You take your time in the shower, deep conditioning your hair and shaving, exfoliating the whole works. After drying off and moisturising, you slip into the new clothes and brush your teeth, smiling the whole time. How cute was he? He always noticed the small things, you hadn’t even told him that you wanted them, but he still noticed and bought the exact same pair in your size in secret so he could surprise you.
Walking out the bathroom you go on the hunt for your boyfriend before finding him in the kitchen. He was surrounded by burnt food and messy pans and he looks up from his phone sheepishly.
“Okay so phase two didn’t exactly go to plan, normally I’m alright at cooking but the one day I need it to go well I just get done dirty, therefore as substitution, our Maccies breakfast is currently being picked up and will be here within the hour, so let’s move to phase three!” He exclaims.
You laugh at how adorable he was.
“First, we clean, you know it will be on my mind otherwise,”
He nods and you two make quick work of throwing away the burnt food and rinsing the bowls and pans before putting them in the dishwasher. Once you were done, Will races you to the front room. The first thing you notice is how many sheets, blankets and pillows were on the sofa.
“Uh, Will? Are you having a sleepover?” you question, confused.
“Nope, we’re building a fort!”
You both have a blast building the fort, a couple of arguments about pillow arrangements, but you hear a knock at the door and you kick Will out of the semi-built fort so he can go collect your food while you finish up building.
“Bob the builder has nothing on you, ay love?” Will jokes to which you just poke your tongue out at him in response.
You both climb into the fort and Will sets out your food while you turn on the TV and turn on Disney plus. Will groans as you scroll through the selection of tv shows and films before you stop at a childhood classic. Phineas and Ferb. Will shakes his head with a smile at your choice but stays quiet nonetheless as you both get comfortable and dig into your food.
The whole day was spent in the fort, around 5 in the evening Will began to frequently get up and disappear before returning with a smile. You didn’t question him, you just let him get on with it because you were sure that you would find out soon enough.
A couple of hours later Will calls your name, you pause your game which you had switched to out of boredom of watching things without actively participating in it and you follow the sound of Will’s voice to the dining room.
The table was properly laid out, decorated with a lit candle and a few rose petals which made your heart skip. Two glasses of what looked like wine had been poured and the plates were full of chicken dippers and potato smileys, which made you grin widely. It was a nostalgic meal that you always raved to Will about, you used to eat it all the time as a kid, a meal that reminded you of home.
You walk over to Will and plant a soft and slow kiss to his lips, your heart was pounding hard and your chest felt tight, you were so in love with this man, you couldn’t imagine a life without him.
He leads you to your seat and tucks you in before sitting opposite you, you both raise your glass in cheers and you take a sip to find out it wasn’t wine, after all, it was Vimto. Nostalgia level 100. The entire time you were sat at the table was full of flirting and playful banter, reminiscing about times you’ve spent together alone and with friends, peeling with laughter as you bring up embarrassing memories, this was well and truly perfect.
“There’s one more thing to end the day with,” Will says, walking off before returning with a neatly wrapped gift and an envelope. “Happy birthday, Gorgeous,”
You feel your eyes begin to water, in all honesty, you had forgotten about your birthday, it just wasn’t something you celebrated to the point where on occasion you forget about it completely. You pick up the envelope and open it carefully, reading the card more tears appear as you fall deeper in love with the man before you who was looking sheepish.
To the love of my life,
It’s your big day! No, I’m not proposing, when your man starts wracking in as much as Alex then I’ll consider buying you a ring, but until then, I just want to say Happy Birthday! And I want to tell you that you are the most gorgeous, kind and talented person I have ever known and I’m glad I get to call you mine. While I may not show you off a lot, that’s just simply because I don’t want to share you, I don’t want others to see the smile you wear when I make you happy, because that smile is mine, it’s my prize and it gives me something to look forward to and work for on a daily basis.
I love you, Y/N, and I want you to be mine forever.
Love, Big Boy Will.
You laugh, tears streaming down your face and you look up to Will with the biggest smile you think you could ever wear.
“Will, I-”
“Open the present,”
You nod and pull the box closer, inside was another box, this one made out of wood that was delicately decorated. It was beautiful.
“It’s beautiful Will,” you say, putting it on the table before you.
“Look inside it, Dummy,”
Unlocking the clasps you open the lid and look inside, taking in all the little items and smiling more.
“It’s all the things I’ve collected over the three years I’ve had the pleasure of knowing you, I cherish all of them because they’re all little pieces that make us… well, us,”
The piece of cardboard they put around the Starbucks cups so you don’t burn your fingers, he had both of yours with your names on from your first date together, he has the photobooth strips from your cousin’s wedding that you asked him to go with you so you didn’t look like a loner, it was all there.
“I love you, Y/N, and I will for a very long time,”
“Well, forever is a long time,” you smirk at him.
He smiles back with a little laugh. “Then forever it is.”

Pairing: Y/N x Ragnarssons
summary: you and your mother are visiting her best friend Aslaug in her country house as a Christmas tradition! you get reunited with your childhood friends; Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd and Ivar, too many good memories and they’re definitely more dramatic than you remember
warnings: light bullying
word count: 2712
A/N: this is a little messy but hopefully it will lighten up your holidays! requests are pretty open so feel free to do that, but nothing smutty though, I personally believe I’ll suck at writing smut, oh and Merry Christmas!
Your mother and Aslaug Lothbrok had been friends ever since you could remember, you were raised with ِAslaug’s boys as one of them, you were treated as a family, your father died when you were an infant while Aslaug’s husband disappeared shortly after her youngest son was born, Christmas was a lonely time for both women, that’s why they made it a tradition to celebrate it together even though time sent each in a different path.
Every year, you’d speed a weekend at the Lothbrok’s country house, all the boys would fly and drop whatever they were doing and go there, and this year was no different.
You and mother arrived, knocked on the door, Aslaug was the one to open it, she immediately greeted you both with a hug “Elvi! My dearest friend, you are finally here! Y/N! Look at you! You grew into becoming such a lovely woman! Come in, your rooms are ready if you want to rest and the boys are already here” she announced after both of you entered the house, Aslaug was ridiculously rich, and the country house showed that well.
Aslaug and your mother instantly ignored your existence and headed to the kitchen to catch up with each other, while you put your bags aside then headed to the living room, where you could hear loud screams, laughter, and noises, once you set a foot in the room, it went soundless, the four boys looked at you as if they saw a ghost, “uh… Hi?” you said uncertain of their reaction.
“Y/N?” Ubbe asked confused, perhaps a year could change someone more than they think “of course it’s Y/N! Who else could make us go quiet like that” Hvitserk rolled his eyes and got up, he walked to you and hugged you “it’s been so long! We almost forgot you existed” he chuckled and his brothers followed, hugging you one after another, welcoming you among them “excuse us for not recognizing you, last year you had glasses on and braces!” Ubbe clarified and you rolled your eyes “thank you for reminding me Ubbe” you scoffed.
You sat down on one of the empty couches “so… Y/N tell us! How’s New York treating you?” Ivar asked curiously “very well, I’m a photographer for TIMES magazine now, and things are great, I love the city, it’s not as beautiful as it is here, not as calm but it has its own beauty, you guys should visit me there someday! I’ll take you to my favorite spots and introduce you to amazing people!” you beamed “any boys we should beat?” Sigurd grinned “No, unless you count my colleague Karan, he’s an asshole, but other than that, I’m as single as I could ever be” you explained, Ivar laughed, while his brothers looked at each other as if they just heard that they were nominated for an award.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
Aslaug called you in as her and your mother prepared a table, it was time for dinner, the five of you took your usual seats, the ones that were decided ever since you were children, Aslaug and your mother excelled themselves this year; turkey, pumpkin pie, ham, a feast made for ten at least, you wondered how you’d finish all the food but then Hvitserk started eating.
Small talks filled the air, mostly your mother asking about the boys’ life now, Ubbe’s been married to a woman named Margrethe, she ran away and returned after many months but he divorced her, Hvitserk had been the same player he is, Sigurd was discreet, no one knew what’s new with him, and Ivar moved out of his mother’s house and he’s seeing a physician to treat his ongoing condition, he can walk now, with the use of crutches, of course, last time you saw him he used a wheelchair.
“And this woman, she knocked on my door in the middle of the night and stripped! She said she wanted to get back at her ex! I closed the door and went back to eating the chicken legs on the bed!” Hvitserk exclaimed the others laughed, Aslaug and your mother seemed more interested in whispering between the two of them.
“It’s so unlike you to refuse a woman brother!” Ivar noted as he picked a piece of turkey meat in his fork and ate it “I love women, yes, but no one can interrupt my binge eating after midnight on a weekend! It’s the holy laws of my household, besides, there will be next times, don’t worry about me, I’m quite charming” he smirked and sipped some wine.
“Excuse Ivar, he’s nineteen and hadn’t gotten laid yet, he doesn’t possibly understand pussies can be replaced” Sigurd mocked, everyone but Ivar laughed and with that, you knew it wasn’t a dinner anymore, it was a warzone “I doubt you know more than I do Sigurd” Ivar responded, he was angry you could tell, even if he hid it well behind a calm tone and a fake smile.
“I know my dick works, can you say the same?” Sigurd replied, seeming offended by Ivar “Jesus Christ Sigurd! Enough! we’re trying to eat!” Ubbe finally said and their little conversation died like that, an awkward silence fell upon the table, besides the whispers of your mothers of course.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
The five of you decided to sit and watch a movie, like the good old days when you used to be children, it was night and you were bored, after all, Hvitserk brought a popcorn bowl for everyone, Sigurd took responsibility for the drinks, while Ivar set up the movies mode on the television while you and Ubbe brought the blankets and pillows for everyone.
“We are not watching Ready or Not Ivar! It’s Christmas! We will watch a Christmas movie!” Ubbe bickered, “just because its Christmas doesn’t mean we have to watch some romantic bullshit with tacky writing!” Ivar protested “I thought we were watching a comedy” Hvitserk pouted, “we agreed we’ll watch a musical!” Sigurd said annoyed.
With that everyone started arguing and screaming at each other, as much as you love these boys, you hated it when that happens, you took a deep breath then whistled, grabbing everyone’s attention “we’ll watch the lion king, and that’s final, it has horror aka Scar, Comedy aka Timon and Bomba, Romance Simba and Nala, and of course amazing music!” you listed and didn’t wait for anyone to complain, one thing you remember clearly about the boys, they’d leave their differences aside for a good Disney Classical gem.
No one said anything during the film, all of you were so concentrated, and even though you saw the movie thousands of times, you all cried at the sad parts, laughed at the funny parts, and awed at the lovely parts, Hvitserk finished his popcorn before the end of the first half, he then started stealing from everyone else’s, you ended up sharing yours with him since you couldn’t really finish it by your own, it only made him last for another thirty minutes.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
After the movie was over, and the crying had stopped, you all decided to revive an old Christmas ritual of yours, which is playing spin the bottle, thanks to Hvitserk you already had an empty bottle to spin, the five of you sat in a circle, and Ubbe span it first.
The bottle’s neck stopped on Sigurd and the bottom on Ubbe, Ubbe was to ask, and if the person didn’t want to answer they must drink a shot of vodka that was already prepared by you, Ubbe snickered a little “Sigurd, my little brother! What should I ask you?” he said thinking, even though part of you suspected he already had something in mind “Sigurd when will you bring us a man to the house?” Ubbe asked with a wicked smirk, rumors have it, Sigurd was gay but no one can confirm it “why? You’re not man yourself you need a manlier man?” Sigurd replied playing dumb “he’s asking whether you are gay or not” Ivar jumped, Sigurd rolled his eyes and took a shot.
Next, it was you and Hvitserk, your turn to ask him “how is it even possible that you don’t get fat? You eat so much!” you said “is this a question or a personal assault?” he frowned “a question man! I need your diet tips” you answered “well, I move a lot usually, not now but back in my place it’s not rare to see me running around the house screaming at three in the morning, I just move a lot, also sex helps lose weight” he shrugged.
Later it was Sigurd and Ivar “how come you’re a spoiled brat at the age of nineteen?” Sigurd asked him, mainly to piss him off “because mother was disappointed enough by the time I was born and she wanted to make sure I wouldn’t end up an annoying turd like you” he replied with a grin on his face that declares he won this round of sarcasm.
“Ubbe, tell us, who’s the mysterious woman you’ve been texting whenever you had a chance?” Hvitserk asked when it was his turn to ask a question “oh, it’s no mysterious woman, it’s Torvi, we are sending dog memes to each other” he responded “Bjorn’s Torvi?” you asked shocked, almost as shocked as everyone, the four of you exchanged a look, Ubbe looked at you all confused, letting a what but no one answered.
And for the final spin, it was Ivar’s turn to ask you a question “Y/N, tell us, now that you are a lovely grown woman, which one of us would you rather date if you have a chance?” he asked with a prying look on his face “well Ivar, you are mean, Hvitserk’s head on the cloud all the time, Sigurd is basically a bully, Ubbe is too old for me, so that leaves me with no one unless you guys have a secret ideal brother?” you grinned, the four boys were left speechless.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
You all agreed to ditch the rooms and have a sleepover in front of the TV, you agreed on watching Lilo and Stitch’s two movies until you fall asleep, Sigurd and Ivar went upstairs to their rooms to grab few things, Ivar hated the stairs, you know that cause he kept cursing with every few steps he took, you also heard the sound of something falling but no one really paid any attention.
Later, the blue-eyed rascal returned, holding a blanket and another pillow, with a big grin on his face “why are you smiling?” you asked as you were the first to notice something was up, “what? Can’t I be happy for a change?” he replied, he can of course, but you were familiar with this mischievous smile too well “no, not really, what’s up?”
“I just saw Sigurd roll down the stairs” he chuckled, his brothers looked at him as if it was the most normal thing ever, Ubbe quickly got up and went to check on Sigurd while Hvitserk just sighed and focused on the screen instead.
“You bastard! What’s wrong with you? I told you to hold me!” a shouting, angry, injured Sigurd stormed in “I can’t, I’m nothing but a useless cripple remember?” Ivar said giving him the most innocent look ever while Sigurd glared at him non stop.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
You were the first to wake up, you went to the kitchen and prepared coffee for yourself and everyone else, Ivar followed next, the two of you sat and ate your breakfast together, it was quite nice, Ivar was a nice guy when his brothers weren’t around.
“So… tell me about the physical therapy, is it actually working?” you asked, he nodded “yes, it’s extreme though, I thought I’ve experienced all kind of pain but apparently I’m wrong, nothing is more painful than taking your first step, I could hear my bones cracking, that’s why the physician had to give me those braces and stings attaching my bones together” he explained, Ivar was okay to tell you about this kind of things, he trusted you enough to know he’s in pain.
“I’m sorry you had to go through this,” you said comforting “it’s alright, I can walk now and It’s not as painful as it used to be, I’m almost numb in the legs anyways unless I try to use them” he shrugged, Sigurd woke up next, he came to the kitchen and poured himself coffee in his mug, he took few sips “numb in the leg you say?” he snickered and spilled the rest of his coffee on Ivar’s leg, Ivar didn’t say much but you knew this hurt from his facial expressions even though he was hiding it well.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” you shouted and ran to Ivar, helping him get up “what? He feels nothing! He said it himself!” Sigurd bickered “you can be such an asshole sometimes” you muttered and then you took Ivar to the downstairs bathroom, helping him clean up.
The skin was red from the heat, you reached for the first aid box in the mirrored cabin and treated his burn “I’m okay Y/N, you can stop worrying” he mumbled, you rolled your eyes “you’re welcome” you said sarcastically.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
You spent the whole day playing video games, or watching the Lothbroks play video games, or fight over video games, all but Ubbe who was deep in his phone, after a while, Hvitserk decided he’d lay his head on your lap and play sims on his phone instead, so it was only Ivar and Sigurd and you knew this would escalate sooner than it should.
“Would you play with my hair? I’ll share my stash with you” Hvitserk suggested, you nodded and started playing with his blond braids, he enjoyed it, then you decided it would be for the best to ignore Ivar and Sigurd this time, and get involved with the elder brothers.
“Why didn’t Bjorn and Torvi come?” you finally asked Ubbe, he shrugged, “Torvi says Assa is sick, that’s why they can’t make it on the road, Bjorn thinks it’s best to skip and go to Lagartha’s this year instead, it’s closer” you were really looking forward to meeting Bjorn, you weren’t very close but he was eye candy, you had a crush on him growing up.
Nothing serious but you simply liked looking at him, Ubbe knew, he’d always teased you about it, but this time he didn’t, he knew you’d tease him about Torvi if he does.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
“For christ’s sake, Hvitserk slow down on eating! This is no manners!” Aslaug shouted in the middle of the lunch after her son ate his second plate “I’m hungry” he protested, “maybe if you ate slower, you wouldn’t be this hungry!” she argued “oh come on Aslaug! Let the poor boy eat, he’s a developing boy!” your mother giggled “he’s twenty-five, he passed the level of being a developing boy instead he’s a food monster!” the two women laughed.
Hvitserk brushed them off and moved to the dessert instead, your mother’s famous krumkake, one that no one could resist or hate.
Ivar and Sigurd exchanged hateful glances every now and then, but they didn’t say a word to each other.
֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎֎
You and your mother decided to leave in the evening, your brother, Havard was visiting tomorrow with his wife and two children, so you had to be home to prepare a meal and gifts, your mother and Aslaug spent what seemed like forever saying goodbyes, the uber driver hated you both for the delay.
The brothers said their farewells, already missing you, you invited them to your photography exhibition next month, you thought it would be a good idea for them to see your city, especially since they thought New York was nothing more than trash, they all promised to come.
You both got into the car and the man drove you to the airport “It was good seeing them no?” your mother asked, you were looking through the window, you wanted to stay there longer but your stupid brother had to ruin this for you “it was” you mumbled.

12 Days of Christmas - [Day 8]
A/N: Day number 8 for the Christmas coundown with @mattysheelies. Sorry it’s so late and out of order. I’m trying my best. I hope you guys understand. I also hope you enjoy ♥
Prompt: I’m not letting you barricade yourself in your room again for Christmas"
Pairing: Billy Hargrove x Reader
The movies lie. That’s a cold hard truth that Billy Hargrove has come to terms with a while ago. It becomes ever so clear to him again, as he watches Max and Susan cuddled up on the couch, watching some cheesy Christmas flick on TV. He hasn’t really been paying attention to the movie but it’s quite obvious it’s one of those generic Christmas films that pretend like snow is the best thing to happen to a person, especially in the month of december. The characters are all smiling and laughing and even if a problem arises, in the end it’s all gonna be alright. Because they have each other and the love they share for one another. Because family is the most important thing in the world and your family is always gonna love you.
And that, Billy knows for certain, is a big bunch of absolute bullshit. The last good Christmas he had was when mom was still living with them. Now it’s just a sad reminder of what his family should be, and what it most definitely isn’t.
It’s not like he can really explain it to people either. His family celebrates Christmas and he does get presents, most of which he genuinely likes, but there’s always this invisible weight on his shoulders. Like he can’t really enjoy it because there’s always restrictions that come with it. It’s in the looks his father gives him when handing over a present. Neil never does anything without having ulterior motives. Every gift he’s ever given Billy has come with consequences. Neil is calculating. Scary.
Every gift handed over to his son is perfectly calculated.
“We’re doing so much for you, Billy.”
“ We spent so much money on your gifts, Billy.”
“ Be a bit more grateful, Billy. “
“ This family is all you got, Billy “ .
Billy looks back towards the TV, the characters are singing now, holding hands around a Christmas tree. Then his eyes wander around the room. To Max who gives him a scowl as she sees him watching her. To Susan, who glances back and forth between the TV and the kitchen where a ham is roasting currently, afraid to overcook it just a tiny bit, afraid of the repercussions. To Neil who is leaned back on his recliner, feet resting on the coffee table, eyes halfway closed, snoring coming from his nose like the growl of a cave troll.
This is nothing like the movies.
The phone ringing catches everyone’s attention, though Billy is sure it has the most effect on him. It makes his heart drop at the thought of who it could be. It’s the one thing that helps him get through the Christmas time. The one thought that help him get through — everything. That lets him know that he is never truly alone. There’s always gonna be one person who cares even if she’s on the other end of the country.
He rushes towards the phone, picks up the receiver and, after taking a breath to calm himself down, he answers. “ Hargrove, hello ? “
The voice on the other end is not the one he so desperately wants to hear. A weird feeling is spreading through him, like someone is holding him under water or sitting on his chest, making it harder and harder to breathe. Like someone has reached into his chest and is holding onto his heart real tigh, squeezing it painfully.
Billy quickly turns his back towards the living room, knowing his face is probably betraying him, showing exactly what he’s feeling for anyone to see, anyone to judge — anyone to use it against him.
“ Max “ he croaks out, trying his best to keep all emotion out of his voice “ Sinclair wants to talk to you. “
Max takes the phone from him, eyeing him suspiciously. Almost as if she’s asking him if he’s okay, just without the words. All conveyed through a look.
Truth is: No, he’s not okay. In fact, he doesn’t remember the last time he was properly okay. But this is not the place to show weakness or pain or heartbreak. Because there’s eyes and ears everywhere and they use those things against you. So he nods and walks back towards the couch.
Neil is now leaning against the doorframe, self righteous smirk on his face like the villain in a Disney movie. “ Not who you were hoping for ? “ he snarls at Billy.
There’s a sick satisfaction in his words, fully of malice. It’s as if he relishes in Billy’s misfortune. As if Billy’s pain brings him joy.
“ I don’t know what you’re talking about. “ Billy replies before an arm shoots out, effectively stopping him from moving further into the room.
“ We both know that is bullshit, son. Don’t forget I’m the one paying the phone bill. I know you spent all of last Christmas on the phone to that — “
Billy’s hands curls up into a fist, his mind repeating a mantra over and over “ don’t call her names. Please don’t call her names. “
“ that girl. “ Even the way Neil says ‘girl’ gives Billy a sour taste in his mouth but at least it’s not some mean name. Billy wouldn’t be able to stand hearing his father call her any names.
“ She’s my friend. “
Neil scoffs, “ Yeah sure. Friend. “
Maybe he has a point. She’s more than that. She’s his constant. The only person who deliberately chooses to stay in his life, who makes an effort. The only person who doesn’t leave.
“ You really think whatever you two are doing has any future ? You still holding onto those silly dreams of going back to California and living that perfect little life with (Y/N) ? Let me tell you one thing, Billy “ Neil says then moves closer, lips right by Billy’s ears. With a low voice he speaks up again “ That is not going to happen. Never. Those are not the cards we Hargrove men are dealt. So you best start being grateful with what you have here, it’s all you’ll ever know. This is as good as it gets. “
And that, is exactly what Billy is so fucking afraid of. What if he’s right ? What is this really is as good as it gets for him ?
He looks back towards the phone once again, Max having finished her phone call by now. It’s stays still, quiet. No calls. No calls. No calls.
Billy sits on the steps of the front porch, cigarette dangling from his hand. From inside the house , the muffled sound of a Christmas song can be heard.
As his warm breath creates little clouds in the cold winter air, Billy feels at peace for just a moment. Like he finally gets to breathe again. It’s fleeting and he knows that as soon as he steps back inside the feeling will be gone, so he cherishes it.
Across the street, through the window illuminated by Christmas lights, he catches a glimpse of his neighbours decorating their tree. Mr. Miller lifting their little son up to put the star on the top. Maybe, he thinks, some lifes can be like the movies. Maybe just not his in particular.
The Fletcher’s from next door pass by his house, mom, dad a kid and a dog. They all wear matching smiles on their faces. The way it should be. When they notice him, Mrs. Fletcher turns to her little daughter and whispers something in her ears. The little girl smiles even widers then hurries across the lawn up towards where Billy is sitting.
“ Merry Christmas “ she says, as Billy regards her with a look of utter uncertainty.
“ Merry Christmas “ he returns then looks at the outstretched hand of the little girl. A gingerbread man looks at him with big gumdrop eyes. “ Is that for me ? “
The little girl nods “ uh-huh. Mommy and I made them for all our neighbours. “
The innocence and wonder in her voice, the kindness — it makes him remember the times when Christmas wasn’t but a day to remind him how lonely he actually is. It reminds him of when things were good and Christmas was something he was looking forwards to.
He thanks the little girl and, as she runs back towards her family and gives him a wave goodbye, Billy can’t help but smile.
A rumbling sound breaks through the peaceful evening, followed by two headlights illuminating the street. An ugly beige colored Mercury Cougar speeds up the street, leaving a trail of smoke in it’s wake.
Billy stands up in a rush, his cigarette dropping onto the snow covered ground. It’s an ugly car. Probably the ugliest car he’s ever seen. It’s falling apart at every end. There’s half peeled off bumper stickers and a stuffed mickey mouse hanging from the front mirror.
By all means, he should hate this car. He doesn’t though. Because it’s where he’s made some of his favorite memories.
In the matter of seconds, after the vehicle has stopped in front of his house, he’s off of the steps, across the lawn and by the side of the car. It takes but a blink of an eye for the driver to open the door and throw herself into his arms.
There are so many things he wants to say, so many thoughts running through his head. So many questions that need to be asked and yet, he stays quiet because — because she’s here and in his arms and that is all that matters.
Snow is softly falling around them, resting on her hair like tiny little stars. It occurs to him in that moment, that he’s never kissed her in the snow. In fact he’s never even seen her like this before, snowflakes in her hair, the tip of her nose and her cheeks red from the cold.
“ You’re here “
“ I’m here. “
“ ‘s why you didn’t call. “
“ Yeah, sorry for keeping you waiting — surprise. “
He thinks she looks adorable with her rosy cheeks and her red nose and the beanie pulled down over her ears. He thinks she always looks adorable but this is a whole new look, one he never got to see in the years they grew up together in California.
Holy shit, California.
“ Did you drive here ? “
“ Yup. “
“ In this weather ? Are you insane ? “
“ Worth it if it means I get to see you. “
He wants to cry. His heart feels so warm and happy and like it’s gonna jump out of his chest. And that kind of happiness is not something he’s used to dealing with. So his body immediately goes to crying. He doesn’t though. Instead he pulls her close and places his lips on hers. Even her lips are cold but who gives a shit. They still taste like her and feel like her and — and like home.
“ Get in the car, Billy. I have a plan for tonight. “
He doesn’t object. Getting away from this place, from Neil, even if it’s just for a night, sounds like the best way to spend Christmas Eve.
“ Where are we going ? “
“ It’s a surprise. “
“ Alright, okay. “ Billy replies, raising his hands in defeat and leaning back in the worn out passenger seat. “ I still can’t believe you came all this way to see me. “
“ Look, Billy “ (Y/N) says and look away from the street for a second to lock eyes with him. There’s something in them, so gentle and genuine. Like all the answers to all the questions in the world are hidden right there in her eyes.
“ Last year when we talked on the phone, it broke my heart. To know you felt lonely and sad, on Christmas of all days. It broke my heart, Billy. I knew your family was shit but at least in California we had each other. So that night I decided that this year was gonna be different. It’s all I asked for this Christmas. Gas money to come see you. I’m not letting you barricade yourself in your room again for Christmas ! “
Maybe this is what Christmas is really about, Billy thinks. Not the songs and the lights and the movies. And maybe that’s what the movies don’t tell you. That family isn’t always who you think it is, that it’s not created by bood, but by love.
Maybe being with the ones you love is what really matters.
“ I love you, (Y/N) “
It feels like the right thing to say. The only thing that perfectly conveys just how he’s feeling right now. The gravity of it all. Tonight. Her. Them being together.
“ Of course you do, I’m fucking great. “
And though it’s not the answer he excepted, it’s a good one. A very (Y/N) kind of answer. By the way she smiles at him, cheeks blushed now from something other than the cold, he can tell what those words really mean.
“ Why are we in Loch Nora ? “ Billy asks as he looks out the window at the houses passing by, growing bigger and more elaborate with each one.
“ You’ll see. “
“ Alright, just tell me how you know your way around Hawkins so well. “
“ Ah you know, “ she says and shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly “ I did my research. “
“ What, you read a book called the shittiest places in North America ? “
“ No. I asked around. It’s why I’m late. “
They drive around for a few more minutes before (Y/N) abruptly stops the car just seconds before turning the corner.
“ Why — “
“ Do you remember what we did every year around Christmas time ? “
“ Get drunk and have sex in front of your fireplace ? “
“ No you idiot. I meant driving around — “
“ Candy Cane Lane “
“ Candy Cane Lane, yeah. Do you remember the first time we did that ? “
He does. Not vividly but he does. They were just kids then and his mom had taken them to see some movie in the cinema. It was one of those nights where you’re so happy and drunk on life you don’t wanna go home. Neither of them wanted to go home. So mom took the long way home, all across town, to look at the Christmas decorations. They ended up on a Candy Cane Lane by accident. His mom turned up the radio that was playing some festive song. And they just drove up and down the street over and over again.
“ My mom took us. “
“ Yeah she did and she — “ (Y/N) stops and takes a breath. Billy thinks he can notice her voice shake a little. “ — she stopped in the middle of the road. I mean there was no one there so it was alright but uh, she stopped. Then she looked at us and she smiled and said: this right here, the way you’re feeling in this moment, that’s what Christmas is. That’s what Christmas should feel like. “
She softly cradles Billy’s face in one of her hands and places a gentle kiss on his lips.
“ I want you to feel like that every Christmas, Billy. “
She pushed a button on the radio and some cheesy, pop-ish Christmas song sounds through the car on full volume.
As they round the corner, an ocean of colors greets them. Twinkling fairy lights cover every tree, there’s blow up Santas and Snowmen and light up Candy Canes the size of an man.
It looks like a scene straight from some Hallmark Christmas card. Not even Billy with his perpetual cynicism can deny that this is gorgeous.
He’s alive. He’s here, with the girl that he’s been in love with since he knew what love was. The girl that was his first everything. And she’s smiling and her eye shine in the twinkle of the lights. And life, for once, feels so sweet.
“ (Y/N) ? “
“ Hmm ? “
“ Let’s go home. “
Her face falls “ you want me to take you back ? “
Billy shakes his head “ No. I wanna go home. How would you feel about another road trip ? “
Smiles on their faces they drive up and down the street over and over again until their hearts are about to burst from all the love and happiness they feel.
Later, as another Christmas song echoes through the car, Billy looks outside and sees them passing the “You’re leaving Hawkins” sign. And his chest feels like and the weight is lifted.
And he’s very much in love. Maybe the movies aren’t all wrong, maybe this is just the prologue for his story. And he main part is just now starting. It’s gonna be a happy one, he thinks.
“ Merry Christmas, (Y/N) “
“ Merry Christmas, Billy. By the way: I love you too! “

Super Parents
Idol: Yoojung (Weki Meki)
Prompt: A Yoojung scenario where she sees her her s/o playing superheroes with their kid???
Writer: Admin Kiwi
A/N: This is such a cute prompt! Also I just randomized a name so I ended up choosing for the kid to be a daughter. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!
♡ Tip Jar♡
Yoojung loved being a mom. After marrying you, the love of her life, having a daughter was the best thing that had ever happened in her life, and she loved her little family more than anything. Sure, there had been plenty of ups and downs. The two of you had spent many sleepless nights when your daughter was a baby, and there had been the issue of switching around schedules and learning how to care for a child on top of all her existing responsibilities. But even as stressful as having her first child was, she couldn’t be happier. Not when it was all worth it to see her little girl smile and giggle and tell her that she loved her.
Now that little Jia was old enough to go to Kindergarten, things had calmed down and Yoojung no longer had to worry about her busy schedule. The two of you split up the days that you would pick Jia up from school, and if she ever had to work overtime (as a celebrity, it happened a lot) she knew that she utilize the after-school programs until you could pick her up. Still, though, no matter how old Jia got, the highlight of Yoojung’s day was coming home to the two of you.
Today was no different. It has been a long day, as her days tended to be when shooting for a show, and she was exhausted, having barely slept for most of the week. Technically, she could have stayed at work longer, but she didn’t even think of that, just wanting to get home, have a good dinner, and then play with Jia and chat with you before passing out. Just the thought of Jia’s smile made her feel a little better, and by the time she got home, she was in higher spirits, happy to spend some time with the two of you.
When she opened the door, she could hear Jia squealing from what seemed to be the living room. Smiling, she kicked off her shoes and quietly shut the door behind her. It seemed like neither of you had noticed her entrance yet, so she kept her footsteps light as she headed inside, curious as to what she’d see when she turned the corner.
There, in the living room, was a mess. An organized mess, yes, but a mess nonetheless. The couch cushions had been pulled off the couch and made into a make-shift fort covered by Jia’s favorite Disney blanket. Other blankets and pillows and toys lay scattered across the floor, creating a makeshift landscape inside the living room. Normally, Yoojung would be a bit upset by coming home to mess, especially after such a rough day, but when she saw the little blanket tied around Jia’s shoulders and noticed the glow of happiness on her face, all the annoyance melted away.
“Oh no! The river is overflowing! Who will save us?” You picked up one of the dolls as you spoke, shaking her about as if she was in some sort of panic as you moved the side of a blue blanket that Yoojung could surmise was the river.
“I will!” Jia jumped up with her hands on her hips and a grin on her lips. “I can help you!”
“It’s Super Jia! Here to save the day! Thank you, Super Jia!” You shook the doll one last time before laying her down, allowing Jia to pick up the dolls with a giggle and run away before you pulled the blanket up, shaking it behind her.
“I saved them! The river was too slow.”
“You’re right, you saved them. Good job, Super Jia!”
Giggling again, Jia put the dolls near the fort, and Yoojung realized that there was a pile of stuffed animals and dolls already there. Apparently, Jia had been doing a lot of saving. After placing the dolls down, Jia stood still for a moment, her creative mind thinking, before she lit up and jumped back over to you, still not noticing that Yoojung was standing just beyond the wall.
“Oh, oh, I know! The fort is about to collapse and hurt everyone inside! We have to get Super Parent to help!”
“Is it my turn? Okay, I can do that.” You laughed and picked up one of the discarded blankets, tying it around your shoulders, and Yoojung felt her heart swell with affection. You’d always been so good with Jia. She was so lucky to have you. “Where are the citizens for me to save?”
“This way, Super Parent!” Jia turned and, without hesitation, ran full-speed into the fort, knocking it over and squealing with excitement as she tumbled and landed on one of the couch cushions. Wincing, Yoojung stepped out, relieved that you’d thought to line the floor with pillows and cushions.
“I hope Super Jia and Super Parent are going to be cleaning the fort up too,” she said, making you both jump. Upon seeing her, Jia squealed and rolled off the cushion to run to her, and you gave her a sheepish grin, standing to your feet.
“Mom! Welcome home!”
“Welcome back, love. I didn’t even hear you come in.”
Smiling, she picked Jia up and ruffled her hair before smiling back at you. “You guys were a little preoccupied so I let you play for a while. It was cute.” She kissed your cheek, making you laugh. “I like Super Parent.”
“Super Jia wants kisses too,” Jia whined, wiggling in her arms, and Yoojung laughed, turning to plant a kiss on her daughter’s head.
“Is that good, Super Jia?”
The little girl grinned and held up one little finger, and Yoojung couldn’t help but laugh, fondly giving her one more kiss. She loved her so, so much, it was almost unreal. How could one kid be so cute?
“Okay, that’s good! I have to save people now though.” Jia wiggled, and Yoojung obediently put her down, watching as she ran off with the blanket flowing behind her.
“How was your day?” You asked as you watched her go, a little smile on your face.
“Exhausting. It’s better now, though.” She smiled as you wrapped an arm around her, leaning into you. “It’s always better if I get to spend time with my two favorite people. How was saving the world?”
With a laugh, you shook your head. “Tiring, I kept having to remake buildings. But it was fun.”
“It looks like it.” She paused, watching as Jia picked up as many toys as she could carry in her arms. Now that she thought of it, she could smell food, and she turned to look at you with her eyebrows raised. “Did you cook?”
“Oh, yeah. I left it warming because you sent me a text that you were coming home late. Jia and I had a little snack earlier to tide her over, but we haven’t eaten yet.”
“You could have eaten, you didn’t have to wait for me.”
“No, but I wanted to. It’s not as enjoyable if the whole family isn’t there.” It was kind of cheesy, but she could tell you meant it, so she smiled and leaned in to give you a quick kiss.
“I love you. So much.”
“I would hope so. We’ve been married for how many years?” You laughed when she gave you a little, sarcastic look. “I’m kidding, I love you too.” Your smile was just as attractive as it had been when she first met you, and she found herself leaning in again, so happy that she’d managed to find such an amazing person to spend the rest of her life with.
“Hey! The river is going to overflow again!” Jia interrupted the moment, as she always did, running straight into both of your legs and making you both jump apart, startled and stumbling. “Come on! The people need Super Parent and Super Mom to help them!”
“Oh, am I a superhero now?” She asked with a grin, steadying herself as she looked down at her daughter. Jia nodded her head yes, and she laughed. “Then Super Mom says you have to eat dinner before saving the town. The food is going to get cold otherwise.”
“Awe, that’s no fun.”
“Superheros have to eat to keep their power. Plus, it’s your favorite,” you reminded her, and she perked up immediately.
“Really?”
“Really. So hurry and wash your hands, Super Jia.”
“Okay!” She ran off once again, holding her hands over her head in her excitement, and neither of you could hold in a little laugh as you watched her go.
“How is she so cute?” Yoojung asked, shaking her head.
“She took after you.”
“Oh my god, so cheesy.”
“What? I can’t show love to my wife?” You quickly swooped in to plant a kiss on her lips before laughing. “That’s all, otherwise Jia will come running back in here to interrupt us again.”
Laughing, she took your hand and began to walk to the kitchen with you beside her. “Should we continue this after bedtime, Super Parent?”
“I think that’s a good idea, Super Mom.”
“Good. I love you.”
“I LOVE YOU!” Jia had returned from the bathroom with her hands once again in the air and a smile on her lips, making both of you turn to face her. “I love you!” She repeated, making Yoojung’s heart melt as she walked over. With a smile of her own, Yoojung picked her up, planting a little kiss on her cheek before giving her a little hug.
“We love you too!”
Beside her, you kissed Jia’s head and ruffled her hair, making her giggle. All of the hardships of the day disappeared, and Yoojung felt nothing but happiness and contentment, not even upset about the mess in the living room as she leaned into your arms and held her daughter close. There truly was nothing she loved more than her little family.

F2: How do we cope?
So I’m someone who has a moderate dose of anxiety in her life, which is being combatted through therapy, medication, & learning healthy coping mechanisms. I’m no expert, but I have some experience dealing with strong negative emotions. One strategy I’ve been recommended is asking yourself, in any given anxiety-riddled situation, “What’s the worst-case scenario that could happen?” This brings you out of your own head- out of hypotheticals- and into the concrete.
Don’t get me wrong, it can be painful to think about. But it can be helpful to see where our biggest fears lie. And if you’re interested in alleviating those strong negative emotions, it’s a necessary step.
I’ve said before that I’m trying to stay open-minded and optimistic about this movie. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have fears and concerns. For me personally, my biggest "worst that can happen” theories for the ending of Frozen 2 are:
- The sisters never see each other again (with a heart-shattering goodbye scene that makes us all inconsolable) - Elsa loses her humanity to become a spirit/goddess, essentially intangible and immortal - Elsa is no longer called “Queen Elsa” in the franchise, invalidating a huge historic part of her identity - Elsa doesn’t attend Anna’s coronation because she’s “too busy” doing other shit - Disney+ makes a spin-off TV series with Elsa going on adventures (just please... no.)
(please don’t chime in with what you guys think about those ideas, at least in this post, whether they’re right or wrong... that’s not the point.)
So what if any, if all, of these things happen? What next?
Stuff not to do (I mean, do whatever you want, but these probably won’t be very helpful)
- oversleeping as a defense mechanism - eating your feelings - drinking/using substances to numb pain - stew and ruminate on the internet with people who only get your sadness and anger riled up - spend all day on the internet - engage in maladaptive compulsive behaviors (oh, hello dermatillomania. great to see you again.) - completely avoid feeling your feelings - making impulse decisions (don’t go buy a car just because “Frozen 2 sucks, the world is meaningless.”) - rant to Jen/Chris/the creative team at Disney on Twitter (which is different from an honest review of the movie, which I’m sure they’d be more receptive to)
Stuff to do
1) Grieve the movie we longed for.
This might sound dramatic and my inner critic is constantly chiding me with “It’s literally a movie for kids, why are you so bonded to it?” But that’s totally unhelpful here. It doesn’t matter why or how, but most of us in the fandom feel a deep connection to the first movie. It’s not exaggeration to say that IF the sequel crushes us, it could be emotionally devastating. Grief is complex, individualized, and weird to work through... but it’s real, and if it’s something we need to face in order to move forward, 2) Decide how tightly to hold onto the franchise.
Something being canon doesn’t mean we have an obligation to internalize it. How many franchises before have whittled their stories down to C-rated TV shows and average spinoffs? Do we accept all of them wholeheartedly?
Granted, this is hard to write about because there’s a slight cognitive dissonance that has to happen for us to disbelieve the sequel of any story. But regardless, determining your relationship to the narrative is a deeply personal choice- one that can’t be decided for you. If my worst-case scenarios happen for F2, I’m probably going to maintain my complete love for the first movie... and pretend the sequel is an AU. Or extrapolation. Accept that it exists as the canon progression, but reject its meaning in my life.
3) Get off the internet.
This is probably the best possible thing to do when the online world is causing you strife and stress. Tumblr has a tendency to be an echo-chamber; I actually only recently rejoined after a long loooong hiatus for that reason. Despite what boomers want you to think, the internet’s not inherently toxic. But despite all its good, it’s also highly curated, completely biased, full of half-truths, and a fantastic vehicle for rumors.
Also realize that until November 22, anything and everything Frozen 2-related that’s released by Disney is going to make you psychoanalyze the content for clues on how to feel. We’ll all become obsessed, deranged Sherlocks in our own right. Don't let it consume you.
4) Creatively output your thoughts & feelings
Headcanons, AUs, derivative work, fan fiction, fan art all serve us well (and are way healthier than like, downing an entire chocolate cake in sadness.) I’m an artist and you bet your biscuits I’ll be sketching Elsa for weeks and WEEKS before & after the premiere. It’s just how I process things.
Another thing I’ve decided I’m going to do if any of my worst-case scenario fears are realized is: write letters to the sisters as if they were real people. Talk to them about the ending. Jen Lee kept journals writing to/from the girls when they were conceptualizing the movie; I think there’s merit in letting the characters speak for themselves.
5) Employ your favorite coping mechanisms
These are personal to you, but could include:
- meditation - working out or exercising - yoga - writing/drawing (see above point) - making coffee or tea & relax in bed with a book - talk to someone about it, bonus points if it’s someone in the “real world” - take a walk outside - use breathing exercises - take a hot bath or shower - clean your room/house/apartment - put on music - cook - play with a pet - do something with a friend Note that all of these have to do with the external world. Distraction doesn’t heal us by itself (which is why denial is a poor way of dealing with shit,) but it helps our brains reset in the background. It sets the rest of the world into perspective, so that we can more effectively face our negative emotions later. Remember, there’s nothing wrong with putting off processing until you’ve done something helpful or enriching. “Listen brain, we can cry later, right now I’m going to bake pumpkin cookies and you can’t stop me.”
6) Remember story is told to connect us with the real world
The idea of escapism is a bit paradoxical, because in pursuing a fantasy world, we’re only working to realize our desires in the real world. The reason we love Frozen so much is because we want that kind of love in our own lives... and the fairy tale reminds us that it’s real. Idealized and sanitized by The Mouse, sure, but it’s real.
It may be painful to acknowledge but: we don’t need Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, or Olaf in order to flourish. Fiction exists to affect us in the real world. Frozen is one story among many- MANY!- that have the potential to sculpt your own personal future. That’s not to say it doesn’t retain a deep meaningful significance for us. I’m going to hold the first movie in my heart forever, that I know for sure. But its reasons for being great are because it plants us in reality. Can you imagine a beautiful young woman with the ability to freeze ice? Maybe that’s not plausible. But an undying, fiercely loyal commitment between two women? Hell yeah. 7) Recognize idolization & parasocial relationships where they may be... and start to heal them
This is heavy stuff that might require a professional to help you sort through- but if you’re truly suffering, paralyzed, or flung into a depressive episode due to any life circumstance (including a movie sequel,) it’s not silly to seek help in order to move forward.
Parasocial relationships are perceived relationships where the other party (usually a celebrity, in terms of celebrity worship) doesn’t know you. Fictional worlds can fall into this category as well. It’s a one-side relationship that feels unbalanced when the other party does something we don't like. Most girls grew up dreaming about becoming a princess, to be surrounded by riches, marry a prince and live happily ever after. But being only a human, your dreams had always been more realistic with plans to make money to support your single mother by becoming a famous baker.
There was no such thing as Prince Charming is what your mother had told you, repeating it nightly as she stroked your hair having tucked you in. And instead of fairy tales, you were brought up on stories of your father who had run away with another woman when you had been born. It shattered her heart.
In return, on your eighth birthday, your mother disappeared and stole your dreams with her.
You knew ‘happily ever after’ didn’t exist, that there were no shortcuts like wishing stars or fairy godmothers and yet it could be argued it was magic that you were scouted for an apprenticeship in the Royal kitchens.
And you finally found a home in the kitchens, surrounded by loud boys, princesses and the prince voted the most likely to break your heart, Jung Hoseok. Almost everyday girls would rush in gushing about how amazing he was, how prince-like and regal and you would always roll your eyes and remind yourself that he wasn’t as amazing as he seemed.
Hoseok and you had grown up together and although you fostered an innate dislike for Princes; he was different from anything you could ever imagine and that was why you had vowed him to be your enemy.

The sun was just peaking over the horizon when you woke up, the beginnings of a warm glow shone through the thin curtains and for a few seconds, you lay in your bed looking for a reason to leave the warmth for the cold morning. Then you remembered Seokjin had been discussing a feast for tonight and you sat up, thinking about the delicate tarts you intended to make for the visiting royalty.
A loud creak echoed through the room as you sat up; the old bed wasn’t pleased with your sudden movement but you were used to its complaints, stretching your arms above your head as a groan slipped from your lips.
Your blurry vision fixed on the sleeping tabby at the end of your bed, stifling a yawn before moving forward to stroke at its soft ginger fur, your lips curling into a smile as the supposed mouse catcher purred and nuzzled into your hand. It had been a few years since you’d found the kitten and promised Jin that it would keep the small cottage mouse-free, but really you couldn’t bear to see it abandoned.
A cold feeling ran up your spine at the thought that this mindset came from your own childhood and you quickly shook your head at the thoughts, drearily looking at the cat’s pretty face to calm your heart.
“Morning princess,” the low rumble of a voice made you yelp in surprise, almost falling out of bed at the idea you hadn’t noticed someone else was next to you. You jumped back in shock and for a second you were sure going to fall before a hand grabbed your arm and pulled you into a warm, golden chest that belonged to the crown prince of the human kingdom of Iliako. He looked down at you with a bright smile, “did I scare you, princess?”
The same prince you had proclaimed to be your enemy as a young child, also kept your bed warm every now and then, but you still frowned at the nickname, “don’t call me princess.”
A frown nestled into your brow as you glared up at Hoseok who watched as your hands gripped his shoulders in an attempt to push him away from you, but he only laughed and stayed sat on your bed, “you always were so friendly in the mornings.”
You pulled your feet up and tried to kick him off the bed, but instead, his hands wrapped around your ankles and he grinned at your frugal attempt to try and make him leave. Some mornings, Hoseok wouldn’t go until everyone else was awake and you’d have to deal with the knowing looks of all of your chefs.
Everyone knew that no matter what you said and grumbled, Hoseok appears dishevelled in the morning every now and then. They also caught the way he would look at you whilst you were baking and the darkening of your eyes whenever a new member of the court snuck into the kitchen to flirt with Hoseok.
Giving up with trying to get him off your bed, you leapt to your feet and began scooping up his articles of clothing, “get dressed and get out!” Hoseok caught the items as you threw them at him with a small smirk that made your knees weak at the memory of last night, “you fake prince!”
Instead of rising to your childish taunts Hoseok hummed in agreement, pulling his trousers back on and glancing at you to find that you were standing staring out of the window, hand pressed against the fogged glass as you traced the peaks of the castle that loomed ahead.
Slowly, you created a silhouette of the majestic castle and watched the windows brighten up as the maids lit the candles and fires in each room. The pastel colour of the spires contrasted the slowly brightening sky and even though you saw the same view every morning, it never failed to bring a smile to your face.
“You want to live in the castle?” Hoseok had appeared next to you, staring out at the view as his fingers worked on fastening his buttons. You turned to him and scoffed but he shook his head and pressed his hands to his heart, “it’s a shame it’ll never happen little apprentice!”
He giggled and ran off before you could pull his silky black hair, winking at you before he ran down the worn down stairs. The sound of his heeled shoes against the bare wood was too loud and instead of chasing him you sat on the top stair and listened to him slam the door loud enough to wake up the rest of the inhabitants.
Prince Charming definitely didn’t exist.

The kitchen was busier than usual that day, the fireplace causing the room to heat to an unbearable temperature as you began to prep for the dessert that evening. The group of breakfast duty was significantly smaller than usual, although it was a simple task to bake the fresh bread and place the cold meat cuts from the previous meal on a plate.
However, Jin, the Head Chef, managed to complain at every stage, “I’m the head chef of a royal kitchen, you’d think I would be above such menial tasks.” You looked up from your bowl and laughed as the broad-shouldered man continued to grumble whilst pulling out a golden brown loaf of bread from the oven.
He was undeniably the most talented chef you had ever met and having been practically raised by Jin, you were used to his antics that now only amused you. The family were said to be going on a hunt so the kitchen could have time to prepare for the dinner service which was meant to be celebrating Hoseok’s engagement to a neighbouring princess.
“Is this the eighth engagement celebration we’ve had to prepare for?” Jimin groaned, before looking to find you smiling happily at the bowl of batter in your arms. It was one of the few times that all thoughts faded from your mind as you added the ingredients into the bowl and began the lengthy process of making Hoseok’s favourite pudding.
The kitchen stayed relatively quiet that day until around lunch when knights and their apprentices filed in to grab their bread, meat and fruit. Although Jeongguk paused, arms full of food as he nodded in your direction and smirked, “shouldn’t a girl take more care in her appearance?”
You rolled your eyes at his usual teasing, returning to serving the knights when someone grabbed your wrist and you looked up to find those bright eyes staring at you, “I think pretty girls don’t need to worry about such thing.” Hoseok grinned at you watching as you struggled out of his grip before releasing your hand causing you to stumble backwards with an undignified grunt.
“Watch boys this is how Hoseok became known as the heart-breaker Prince,” Jeongguk laughed and you rolled your eyes, deciding today it might be better to hold your tongue than getting involved with the boys and their childish squabbles.
Jin placed a hand on your shoulder and lightly pushed you behind him, taking over at the table, before narrowing his eyes at Jeongguk, “you’re acting like you don’t have a mini orgasm whenever you eat her bakes.” The younger boy spluttered, his face sporting a vivid blush before he ran out of the kitchen, clutching his lunch to his chest.
Hoseok caught you laughing and raised an eyebrow to which you rolled your eyes and returned to baking, grumbling, “you’re unbelievable.” The prince sensing that you were occupied, gave you one last hopeful smile before walking away and he was just leaving the door when you called, “good luck with your tenth engagement party!”
He whipped around and grinned, “it’s only my ninth!” With a sigh to try and hide your amusement at how right your mother had been, there were no perfect prince charmings who rescued damsels and married a princess. Hoseok had been set up to marry eight other princesses by his parents, organised with fae and human kingdoms but the young prince always refused after he had attended the luxurious dinner.
Suddenly Jin turned to point at Hoseok, “you’re meant to be at the hunt!” Hoseok’s shoulders raised at the idea he had been caught and as he began to slunk away, the elder boy laughed, “go run back to your horse and get back before they notice!”
With a quick nod, Hoseok winked at you and sprinted off leaving you to smile at the idea that he was still like he was as a child, having disliked hunts and come riding back to the kitchen then as well. Today he had most likely come to the kitchen to check on what food was being made and you wondered if he encouraged the engagements just so he would get to eat Jin’s best cooking and an abundance of sweet cakes, pies and a structure created completely out of small fruit tarts.
Following lunch, the kitchen came to life with movement and noise as all the chefs began to cook the meals they had begun yesterday. It was to be a five-course meal, with your fruit tarts being the main piece for dessert which lead to Jin continually checking that you were going to have the one hundred puddings done in time.
“Next engagement party I would have made a thousand fruit tarts and more because it took me a while to perfect the taste,” you mused as you helped Jimin peel the vegetables. The potatoes and carrots began to pile up and the movements soon became unconscious as you wondered what this princess looked like.
The Princesses you had the opportunity of seeing had been beautiful, huge gowns leaving you to wonder how they managed to fit in their seats with their hair styled in elegant curls, loops and braids. The servers would often laugh about how little these princesses would eat and you knew that when you came out to serve the tarts, they rarely would eat more than a few pieces of glazed fruit.
For a moment you let your mind wander to what it might be like if you were the one picking at your food, sitting stiffly in your seat and doing it all for a prince known for breaking hearts. This was the exact reason you thought Prince’s were elaborate hoaxes to capture the hearts and kingdoms of young maidens, and it worked.
“Y/N?” Jimin’s voice jolted you back to the present and with a start you jumped up, carrot half peeled falling on the floor as the younger boy laughed at your reaction. “Now what were you daydreaming about?”
Picking up the carrot and slamming it on the table, “if you share a dream then it won’t come true!” It was your usual reply and Jimin smiled, shaking his head at your childish reply before shooing you away to return to finish off your tarts.
“I hope the dreams that you’re wishing will come true.”

“Now remember to address Prince Hoseok with the utmost respect,” Jin lectured as you held two plates of tarts, golden leaf glimmering in the candlelight outside the dining room and he watched as you peeked around the door, standing at the front of a long line of servers, causing him to whisper-shout, “Y/N!”
Your eyes flicked back to see Jin’s frown and you quickly nodded, “I’m serving Hoseok and his fiancee and must treat both of them respectfully.” Your elder nodded quickly and opened his mouth as if to say something, but there was the sound of metal tapping against a glass and with a smile, you entered through the doors.
The dining room was beautiful, tapestries hung from the walls in rich colours of greens and reds. Slowly you made your way towards the head of the table where Hoseok was sitting, leaning forward on an elbow and smirking at you, “this is our Head Baker who has prepared one hundred tarts by hand to celebrate the engagement between our prince and your daughter.” The King happily announced.
They were proud of having a female baker in the kitchen, bringing you out to present any time they could to embarrass other humans and impress the fae royalty that came to the palace.
Hoseok watched your every move before a gloved hand landed on his elbow, “why, do you even pay that girl?” The princess held a hand to her mouth as she giggled, watching you place the plate in front of her, “her clothes are so- so plain.”
You placed the plate in front of Hoseok, refusing to meet his eye before you curtised and walked away. Your hands fisted in your dress, it was your best one, a pale shade of pink that reminded you of the blossom that had grown in the garden of the house you had once lived in.
Now you felt the cheap fabric under your fingers, repeating to yourself that you must remember your place and not say anything out of place. But it was the only dress you owned although having heard what the princess had to say now you were left to wonder if all eight of them before this one had thought the same thing.
Your heart stuttered in embarrassment before the King tapped on the table to get your attention, “such a talented young baker.” The visiting royalty agreed as they continued to eat at a rapid pace but as you made eye contact with the Princess, you watched her dainty hands take hold of the plate and push it away.
Hoseok watched this interaction, catching the way your face fell before you bowed to the King. The rest of the servers had already left, and as you followed, placing a hand against the dark oak door to cast one last glance at the gathered royalty, you watched Hoseok slam his hands into the table.
“I don’t say I feel like marrying you,” Hoseok declared, staring right at you and the Princess who had been sipping on a glass of wine dropped it in surprise. The glass shattered across the floor and you felt a hand on your back shove you forward to tidy the mess that had been created.
The Princess was just beginning to stumble together words as you rushed back in, “y-you can’t mean, are you cancelling this engagement?” Quickly you leant down to rest on your knees, taking your time as you picked up the fine pieces of glass away from the Princess’ dainty feet.
Above you a clamout had begun akin to what you were used to in the kitchen as Hoseok’s father hit the table, shouting, “you’re not doing this again!” It was a conversation you had witnessed a few times so you continued to focus on your task.
Just as you picked up the last shard of a glass, a shoe kicked your hand causing you to drop the glittering pieces on the floor and swallow a glare at the princess who had just purposefully kicked you.
A drop of blood welled up from your fingertip and with a frown you scooped up the rest of the glass, biting your lip to not cry out in pain and rising to your feet. This time you accidentally met Hoseok’s gaze, before ducking your head in embarrassment at the notion of him seeing you with watering eyes.
Quickly you gave another curtsy and then ran from the room straight into Jin’s chest, his arms wrapped around your back and gave you a tight hug. Before he pulled away and grabbed your wrists, pouring the glass into a small bowl a waiter held for him before tugging you away from the shouting still coming from the dining room.
“Come on dearest, don’t let her words hurt you,” Jin soothed you, his hands rubbed your shoulders before you sniffed and held your head high, palms red with blood and stinging slightly. And yet, a small smile still made its way across your face at the thought of dodging a stuffy bride within the palace.
So you walked back to the kitchen with Jin, a single tear rolled down your cheek before you heaved a sigh and looked up, “just another day in a royal palace.”

The announcement came as a surprise to everyone; you had been shopping in the local market when the town crier had shouted a message that made your eyes widen in shock and all the young girls whisper in excitement.
“The Prince has declared that there will be three balls to celebrate his birthday and by the third ball he will have chosen a wife! Every maiden is invited to this ball - both maids and fine ladies!”
It was a surreal feeling that washed over you, remembering that Hoseok was a prince and you were merely a cook in his kitchen. Before you shook your head and wondered why the difference between your places in society mattered when Hoseok was merely a bratty Prince.
Around you, the air was filled with laughter and discussions as young girls discussed what dress they would wear and swooned at the idea of being chosen for his wife. Next, to you, Jeongguk was laughing at the evident uncontained jealousy in your face, a small pout rested on your lips until he elbowed you, “what stained trousers and apron shall you wear to the ball?”
You weren’t allowed out of the palace without supervision but with Jeongguk supposedly looking after you, it lead you to question who was really doing the babysitting. He raised an eyebrow as if waiting for you to reply but just as you tried to think of a witty reply, you spotted a new stall full of vegetables, their bright colours making you run over and inspect them.
There were the usual seasonal red cranberries, large cabbages but what had drawn you over to this particular stall, was the bright orange pumpkin. It was an incredibly rare thing to see and you looked up at the vendor who noticed your interest and gave you a dimpled smile, “that is my last pumpkin young miss.”
“How much?” You ventured, waiting for his answer to include diamonds, but all you got was another endearing dimpled smile as he gestured towards the vegetable.
“For you, nothing.” He winked and Jeongguk coughed as you grinned and went to pick up the huge vegetable. The vendor noticed this and laughed, “surely a young Knight should be able to carry such a minor thing for his mistress?”
You turned to look at Jeongguk, smiling up at him and batting your eyelashes expectantly waiting for him to be a gentleman and pick it up. He let out a heavy sigh before crouching and poking at the bulbous vegetable, “as a cook don’t you carry stuff like this all the time?”
But instead of answering, you merely blinked in surprise at what you had just noticed. The sound of young girls giggling had drawn your attention to the small group they had formed in the middle of the courtyard that housed the small market, “why if the Prince personally invites me, how am could I object?” They hid their laughter behind their perfectly looked after hands and you bit your lip as you noticed Hoseok standing amidst them.
He was too busy flirting to notice you, but Jeongguk saw your furrowed brow and small pout and noticed that you were getting more and angrier the longer you stared at the Prince. Jeongguk tugged on your coat sleeve, trying to draw you back to the present but your gaze was fixed on Hoseok.
“Such pretty maidens, I’d love to share a dance with you next week,” he took a girl by the hand and spun her around, “maybe you’ll even become my Queen.” It was watching him flirt that confirmed everything your mother had ever told you about princes.
Without realising, you muttered, “Prince Charming is a fraud.”
The girls gasped and turned to look at you, whispering between them as Hoseok looked up and noticed you standing there. Instantly his face fell but you had been talking to Jeongguk, “wouldn’t you agree, Gukkie? Prince’s are so romanticised and really they’re just like all the other men and focus on one thing, sex.”
Hoseok choked and the girls turned to look at him, their mouths open in shock at the implications of what you had said, as well as your audacity to say it in front of the very Prince you were aiming your judgements at.
After finally taking a moment to breathe and look at the shocked expression on Jeongguk’s face, you shook your head with a fake smile, “he’s right behind me, isn’t he?” The Knight-in-training nodded quickly and bowed to the Prince who placed his hand on your shoulder and squeezed.
“Now why would my lovely young baker say such horrible things?” Hoseok’s voice was barely louder than a whisper, and yet, it sent shivers running up your spine and your hairs to stand up because he was angry. And for all your fighting and teasing, you hated to see Hoseok upset.
Therefore, the idea that it had been you who had been insensitive and said such horrible things brought you close to tears. As the embarrassment rushed through your body, you looked at Hoseok, wide eyes filling with tears before pulling yourself out of his grip and sprinting away.
The cobbles were painful against your thin shoes but you kept running, sweat quickly collecting on your brow as you left the streets and headed towards the meadows you remembered from your childhood. For just a bit of time you wanted to be alone, no Jeongguk and no risk of being caught by any guards or Hoseok.
From a young age your response to being in trouble or being upset was to run away and as you wiped tears from your eyes, you felt like so childish and even more embarrassed. Why was it that in front of Hoseok you always froze up?
Your heart continued to race even after you stopped running and although you continued to tell yourself it was just because you had run. But some part of you knew that the tone of Hoseok’s voice and the dark look in his eyes had awoken a part of you that had previously not been there.
Instead of letting yourself believe something had changed you shook your head, before shouting, “what kind of idiot would fall in love with a Prince?”
+
+
Hoseok was not angry. It had all dissipated when he had seen that look in your eyes, wide and watery and it had caused him to freeze. He’d seen that look many times before, like when you accidentally burnt his birthday cake or spilt sauce on his favourite book and like always, Hoseok couldn’t help but forgive you instantly.
“Jeongguk, go back to the palace.” The Knight perked up and Hoseok raised an eyebrow to question the pumpkin before shaking his head to try and maintain focus as he turned to the ladies, “I’ll see you beautiful maidens at my party.”
With that he walked towards where he had tied his horse, the golden coat glimmered in the sunlight that filtered through the clouds and he smiled, pressing his forehead to her silky mane, “let’s go save my Princess.”
In a smooth movement, Hoseok pulled himself onto the saddle of his horse, kicking her sides with his heels and heading in the direction you had run off to. After you had left, he had tried to continue talking like he wasn’t worried about you but soon it became unbearable and now as he raced down the small roads, it dawned on him where you had gone.
The final rays of sunlight faded just as he made it to the entrance of the meadow, finding a figure leaning against the oak tree that stood in the centre of the field. With a pat to his mustang’s mane, Hoseok slipped off and let her roam around as he waded through the waist-high grass.
Long sheaths of brown grass brushed against his legs and waist, it was crisp in the late autumn weather and an overwhelming sense of nostalgia washed over Hoseok. Before he had been aware of what being a Prince meant, he used to run away from the court and would hide in the dense grass as officials tried to find him. It was there had met you, a young girl with a flower crown and an infectious smile that kept him coming back every day until he was caught.
Hoseok had never put these memories together until he saw you sitting under the tree. Its huge branches dwarfed you and reminded him of those days spent with you during the Summer, with the green leaves providing you shade as you exchanged fairytales.
“If you came here for an apology, go away,” your voice made him jump, Hoseok found you staring at him, biting into a bright red apple as you waited for an answer. He wondered what must have happened to change that young innocent girl to the one who called Princes cons, it made him even more passionate to change your mind.
Slowly Hoseok approached you, sitting down so his shoulder brushed against yours and waited for you to pull away, but you didn’t. “I’m not here for an apology,” you huffed and bit into your apple waiting for Hoseok to continue, “I am here to ask one question.”
You nodded having expected a catch because everything came with a price, you knew that well. However, Hoseok’s question caught you off guard, as he placed his hand on your thigh and tapped it, “why do you pretend to hate me?”
“Pretend?” You shook your head in disbelief, “why do you think I’m pretending?” You pushed yourself up from where you were sitting to try and walk away from Hoseok. You felt a droplet of water land against your cheek and as you turned to look at him, wondering why he believed you were pretending when you’d just said such horrible things to him.
It made you feel like maybe you had misjudged Hoseok because even though he was a hopeless womanizer and enjoyed teasing you, he was also continually forgiving and kind. Two traits that you struggled to find when they hadn’t been present in your home before the kitchen.
The rain quickly changed from a light splattering to a downpour but neither of you moved, in a mental and physical deadlock as both waited for the other to yield. Of course, it was Hoseok who spoke next, “you’re forcing yourself to hate me,” he paused and stood up, reaching out his hand to grasp his and pull you towards him, “it’s not me you hate but my title.”
He laughed and you watched with wide eyes as the droplets of rain dripped down his face, his soft eyes looked at you with such care that your heart fluttered. Hoseok’s gaze dropped to your lips before he pressed a kiss to your lips, pulling away and whispering, “you hate the fact that I’m a Prince. You don’t hate me.”
It was as if a flick had switched inside you, staring at Hoseok as you refused to give him an answer. Instead, you pressed your hands to his chest and pushed him away, “don’t be so full of yourself.”
Your clothes stuck to your body, cold rain soaking you to the bone and instead of focusing on Hoseok, you began to shiver. Desperately you tried to hide this fact, looking down at the ground and seeing again the difference between you and him, his sturdy leather boots looking barely scathed compared to your thin linen shoes.
But even though you’d pulled away, Hoseok still tried to look after you as he shrugged the coat from his shoulders and placed it over your shoulders. Even though you were cold, his mere actions made your heart race and if anything you were only more confused than before.
+

The sky was beginning to darken and in the candlelight of your room, the pink fabric of your mother’s dress glimmered and sparkled, creating the illusion it was more than just an old dress. Your hands skimmed the fabric, looking in the mirror and smiling before sliding your feet into a pair of simple shoes and pulling your hair out of its usual ponytail, you left the safety of your room.
It was as if you were in a trance, walking down the wooden stairs and being greeted by the shouts of young girls as they tried to get help tying corsets and curling hair from the maids who lived in the cottage. A hush fell when Jin ran up to you and wrapped you in a hug, “you look so beautiful, I’m so proud!”
All eyes were on you as Jin continued to make a huge fuss, holding your hand and pulling you through the crowd of girls to seat you on a small stool, and place a coil of white pearls against your neck, before nodding and smiling, pressing a kiss to your forehead and whispering, “perfect.”
But the rest of the girls going to the party seemed less than pleased that you had dressed up with the obvious intention to go to the ball. They sent glares towards you and eventually you the prickling feeling against your skin became so intense that you stood up and walked out of the cottage, hoping the fresh night air would soothe your heart.
Sitting in the garden was your pumpkin and the sight of it made your heart soar, its orange colour was so vibrant and as you crouched down to stroke a hand over the skin. You had pulled up the skirt of your dress to prevent it from getting dirty, remembering times when you had been a young teenager and the staff had teased you relentlessly for always having dirty hems. That was why you only wore trousers now, and just as you went to stand, a hand landed on your shoulder and with a slight shove, you lost your balance.
With a thud you fell into the dirt, your eyes squeezed shut before the sound of laughter made you slowly open them, looking up to see elegant and intricately detailed patterns of full silken skirts. It was the usual group of girls from the courts and slowly, you stood up, brushing off your skirt and grimacing at the dirt that was smeared across the pale pink fabric.
“Why did you push me?” you asked, trying to hide the wobble in your voice as you stared at your dirt covered hands before looking up and straightening your back, hoping you could pretend to be someone not to mess with.
However, the main girl only laughed, before poking a finger into your shoulder, “why are you acting like you’re going to be attending the ball tonight? Do you really think the Prince would want someone like you there?” She laughed and nudged her friends as if to encourage them, causing one to approach you and touch a scuff on your dress.
“You can’t go to a royal ball in such a state, you’re covered and dirt,” her fingers dug into the fabric and she yanked at it, causing you to jump back even though it was too late. “Your dress is coming apart! How embarrassing,” the girls giggled and then they walked past you, purposefully walking into you and you felt them further rip your dress.
A hand landed on your chin, turning you to look into the cerulean blue of the girl’s eyes, before she laughed and pushed you away, “looks like you won’t be going to the ball.”
And it was too late, with your dress destroyed and your emotions a wreck, you took in a deep breath and turned on your heel, deciding that today, just this once, instead of running away, you would at least try and fix the problem.
That was why you were currently sitting on your bed, still wearing the dress, needle in hand as you tried to fix the rips, “why am I doing this?” you whispered, fingers stopping suddenly as tears began to roll down your face and blur your vision, making it hard to properly sew.
With a heavy sigh, you placed the needle into your lap and rubbed at your eyes before a familiar voice behind you made you jump so hard you fell off the bed, “you shall go to the ball Y/N.”
You picked up the sewing scissors laying on the floor, turning to brandish them at the figure, who you instantly recognised to be the man who had sold you the pumpkin. But even then, his being in your room was not explained, “why are you here? Get out or I’ll scream and my Knight will kill you.”
The vendor laughed and rubbed the back of his head, as if he’d expected his appearance to be received in a different way. “I’m the fae carer that comes with the pumpkin I gave you.” His dimples appeared as he smiled again and you continued to point your scissors, waiting for a further explanation, “my name is Kim Namjoon, I’m a fae. The pumpkin you purchased has magical qualities that mean if the owner becomes distressed I am summoned to come and provide help.”
You raised an eyebrow at the weird explanation but slowly lowered your scissors as Namjoon gestured to you to follow him, both of you made your way outside where he signalled to the pumpkin that was no longer the beautiful bright orange. Now, it looked almost sickly, having turned to a white colour.
“It only looks like that because you are upset,” Namjoon sat down and leant against the pumpkin, “why would a beautiful young maiden be crying on her bed wearing an old dirty dress?” You frowned and raised an eyebrow because you’d read in one of your favourite cookbooks about the ‘pumpkin protectors’ and yet the idea seemed far-fetched to you.
And yet, as Namjoon leapt to his feet and his clothes melted from a simple navy jacket and trousers to a sparkling white suit with elegant threaded applique across his chest. He gestured to his new outfit, “Now do you believe me?”
You nodded quickly and watched as he rubbed his hands together, “you have a ball to get to young Pumpkin princess and for that you need a fixed dress,” Namjoon smirked, and you balled your fists in anticipation as with a wave of his fingers, the pale pink of your dress faded to a pale blue, the waist became cinched as the skirt flared out to be even bigger than the girls who had ruined your previous one.
“That looks much better,” he smiled and you twirled around in the new huge dress, fingers grazing the soft fabric of the skirt. Your hair rested against your shoulders and the more you gazed at your dress, it became even more beautiful. He smiled and winked, “You might want to look at your new shoes.”
With that you stuck out your foot, eyes widening in surprise when you saw a glass slipper on your foot, reflecting the blue of your dress and it felt like you were living a dream. They were beautiful, and you clinked them together to find they were both sturdy and also intensely comfortable.
The clocktower rang nine times, echoing through the courtyard you were standing in reminding you that the ball had just started and you needed to hurry to get to the ball before the doors were shut and all the food was eaten. So quickly turning to Namjoon, you bowed, “thank you so much Mr Namjoon for giving me this chance. I’m not very rich but if you come to the kitchen I can make you something?”
The boy laughed and shooed you away before suddenly yelling to get your attention, “The dress and glass shoes are magic and will disappear if you begin to doubt yourself! So believe in yourself young pumpkin princess!”

It was like living a dream as your heels sounded against the marble floor, walking through the maid doors and into a room full of people. All the women were wearing huge gowns, brushing against the knees of their partners who were equally well dressed as they danced in the centre of the ballroom.
“Might I have this dance?” you turned in surprise to find a man offering you his hand, and without thinking you took it, letting him lead you to the centre, until a hand landed on your wrist and pulled you away, it was the Prince.
Quickly you curtsied, before risking a glance up to find Hoseok’s cheeks covered in a deep blush, his eyes wide as he offered you a hand, “I’m sorry Sir but she promised me her first dance.” He smiled easily and pulled you into the centre, placing a hand on your waist and clasping your other, you both began to sway to the gentle waltz of the orchestra.
“How could I promise you a dance when I didn’t intend to come?” you smiled and tilted your head at Hoseok, laughing as he pulled you closer and rolled his eyes at your comment. He knew you well enough to recognise your smile was one trying to tempt him into another squabble, so Hoseok smiled and span you around.
When you were brought back into his chest, you felt your heart finally react to being near him and as it raced, Hoseok smiled down at you, “is it crime to want to dance with the prettiest girl here?” Instantly you broke the intense eye contact with Hoseok, blushing and focusing instead on his chest, watching its quick rise and fall as you both continued to dance.
It was custom to change partners at the end of every dance, but as the pieces changes from a waltz to a more upbeat piece and then another and another, you and Hoseok seemed unable to leave each other alone.
Others watched in amazement, whispering about the young beauty who was Prince Hoseok had been dancing with for almost six dances now. The older women sighed at the memory of love and how it was to have a man gaze at you in the way Hoseok was to you and very quickly you became the fan favourite for the new Queen.
Although it seemed like a dreamy dance, when you broke out of your state and noticed the glares you were receiving from the same girls who had ripped your mother’s dress, you pulled away from Hoseok, curtsying quickly, stammering, “I-I need to- to get some water.”
Quickly you ran off, wading through the crowd to get to the balcony, walking through the glass door and breathing a heavy sigh as the cold air hit your skin. As you walked towards the balcony, you rubbed your face, trying to bring yourself back to reality.
Had you really been thinking about love whilst dancing with Hoseok, the boy you’d known for over fifteen years and always fought with. It felt daunting and surreal and yet, the warmth in your heart reminded you that the feeling was real.
The teachings of your mother came back, as they always did when you felt yourself falling for a trap. And as you straightened your back and stared at the full moon, you knew that you weren’t going to fall for his lies because your mother had and it had broken her heart. You refused to let the same happen to you.
Your thoughts were cut short when a hand landed on your wrist and pulled you backwards, “if it isn’t our favourite lying peasant.” It was the girls from before, faces of thunder as they all looked at your dress as if trying to figure out where you’d been hiding it in that small cottage.
“Just because you’re dressed better doesn’t make our Hoseok’s any less out of your reach,” one of the girls sniggered but her words didn’t hurt as much as before because they didn’t seemed as convinced of themselves anymore.
That was only furthered when you watched their faces turn white in fear, someone clearing their throat behind you, “that’s Prince Hoseok to you girls.” Your eyes widened, turning to see Hoseok standing behind you, his stern face melting away as he winked at you before returning to glare at the other girls.
A wave of embarrassment washed over you and without thinking, you scrunched at the fabric of your dress beginning to wonder if your mother had been right about all princes. Frowning as you tuned out Hoseok lecturing the girls about court etiquette, you began to question if this prince was a fraud because he’d come to save you from those horrible girls.
And when his fingertips brushed against your palm, your eyes widened as all the advice your mother taught you disappeared. He was nice and in no way a fraud, and with that the glove Hoseok had been tracing disappeared.
The spell had been broken.
Your eyes widened as you curtsied quickly, “I must be getting home,” and with that you sprinted away, making your way through the ballroom as you felt the other glove turn to rags and then you were through to the main entrance. It was the stairs you were worried about and the fact that you could hear footsteps behind you so you continued to run, getting to the white marble steps and running down them.
“Wait! Y/N!” Hoseok called and when you hesitated again, your left shoe slipped off. Quickly you bent over and picked it up, worried he would use it for the engagement ceremony of shoe fitting and without thinking you threw it at Hoseok’s head.
Luckily he wasn’t hit by the sharp heel of a glass stiletto but by a muddy radish, Hoseok looked up only to see you were already at the bottom of the stairs. The sight of you dressed in that pale blue dress set off something in Hoseok and without thinking he ran after you, not bothering to stop the party with the hopes no one would notice.
Hoseok refused to let the girl he was in love with disappear.

“Don’t get confused, I’m still angry with you,” Hoseok’s words were faint as he pressed kisses to your neck which you tilted to give him more space to leave marks as you knew he loved to do.
You had only been sitting in your room for a bit when Hoseok had slammed open the door, his chest heaving as he moved forward and flung himself onto the bed, gasping, “you can’t look that stunning and then run away.”
The dress had already turned to your rags and he placed a hand on your thin cotton nightdress, slowly moving his hand up and bringing the fabric with it until you placed a hand atop his, and moved to kiss Hoseok.
His kiss was passionate, Hoseok’s tongue slipping into your mouth and moving against yours until dribbles of salvia where moving down your chin. You pulled away gasping only to find his eyes had darkened and that was why you’d tilted your neck away and allowed Hoseok to suck and bite marks into the tender skin.
Your prince was talented with his tongue, lathing it across your skin before pausing and sucking at your temple, chuckling when you tilted your head back and moaned. Soon enough, Hoseok trailed his fingers down your torso, they paused at the curve of your breasts and thumb at your nipples but their goal was somewhere better.
Sex with Hoseok was always quick and passionate with both of you worried about getting caught or being too loud, but tonight it seemed like Hoseok had other plans as he placed his hand against your thigh and walked his fingers towards your heat.
“Just this once can I-” he started and instantly you nodded desperately, feeling his fingers already working on your clit and causing heat to pool at the base of your stomach. Hoseok slowly traced a line down your folds and brought the finger to his mouth, licking it before placing it into yours. “Get it nice and wet Princess.”
As you tasted the mixture of your juices and Hoseok, you bucked your hips into the air, already desperate for him to plunge his length deep into your depths. “So desperate Princess, but good things come to those who wait.”
He laughed before pulling his finger from your mouth and placing it against your entrance, sliding in the digit and watching your back arch in momentary pleasure. “Can you feel how wet you are princess,” Hoseok whispered next to your ear as he began to thrust his finger inside you, waiting a few seconds before adding another, “did you feel how easily my fingers just slid in. You really are my Princess, so good for me,” he pulled away to watch you bite your lip and you watched his eyebrows shoot up showing he had just thought of something.
As he continued to pump his two fingers into you, his thumb moving circles against your clit, Hoseok raised an eyebrow at you, watching your head tilt back in pleasure as his fingers brushed against your G-spot. “Open your mouth for me.”
“Why?” you managed to gasp, recognising the look on his face as meaning he was up to no good. Hoseok began to place more pressure into his thumb bringing you closer and closer to your orgasm and without thinking you let your jaw drop as you looked up at him.
Hoseok stuck out his tongue and you watched as a droplet of salvia rolled down the pink flesh and then landed into the back of your throat. “Get ready for more,” he smirked and watched as you began to writhe under his fingers.
That was when he moved closer to your face and spat directly into your mouth, watching with a huge grin as your eyes began to roll back as your orgasm began to wash over you. Hoseok placed his mouth against yours, kissing you as your legs began to tremble and hips buck whilst his touch became so good it was painful.
“Please-” you managed to gasp and when he finally pulled his hand away, you slumped into the Prince’s chest, feeling his hand stroke comfortingly up and down your back sent a new wave of tingles down your spine.
You wanted Hoseok, more than ever and now cuddled up against his chest so you could hear his heart beating and his hard length against your thigh, you knew you were going to get him.
“We’re doing it tonight,” you mumbled, smiling when he ran a hand through your hair and nodded. The fact that tonight Hoseok was so kind to give you a breather made your heart race with a new emotion, one that made you blush at the idea of moaning in front of him but also sent waves of tingles to your heat.
Hoseok, unaware of your inner turmoil, cupped your cheek and pressed a delicate kiss to your nose, “my dick is so hard I think it might explode.” he bucked his hips into your thigh and you nodded, laying down and pulling him on top of you.
“Please fuck me Prince Hoseok,” you smiled up at him and as he buried his length inside your heat, you kicked back your head and even though you had slept with Hoseok many times, this one was different.
Maybe it was the way he buried his head into your shoulder, kept asking if you were okay or came much earlier than usual that had you gasping words you never thought would leave your mouth, “fuck- I love you!”

“They say the young Prince has found himself a wife,” Jeongguk nudged Taehyung as they sat in the kitchen, helping themselves to raw cookies as you continued to make them, hair pulled back and wearing your dirty trousers.
Jin glanced over at you and smiled to himself at the duality of your looks, from looking like a princess in that gorgeous pink dress and now, looking like you didn’t have a roof to live under. Maybe that was why no one had recognised you to be the mystery girl from last night.
In your mind that was a welcome nickname, as you had no intention of being the centre of everyone’s conversations. Also you’re back really hurt and you didn’t want to get into lots of chats, especially ones that included the topic of Hoseok, the very Prince you had been avoidinging since you’d accidentally confessed to him, mid-orgasm.
“I heard the Prince has the shoe of his mystery girl already, it’s a glass slipper and it sits atop a pillow in the middle of the ballroom ahead of the celebration and engagement ceremony. It was a weird tradition and although no one was sure where it came from, if a Prince were to wed someone from his Kingdom, he would have to sleep with her to check their compatibility and then steal her shoe when the sun rose.
Then during a large ball, he would allow every maiden to try on the shoe claiming that if it fit anyone else but his love, she was not special enough to be a princess. It was weird and now you thought about it, although your plain cloth shoes had both been present in the morning, you had not bothered to check on your single glass slipper resting on your table.
It was already late in the day, the ball was meant to start soon and yet you felt frozen in fear. How where you to attend the ball when you no longer had a dress to wear, Jin noticed you cracking egg after egg into an empty bowl and placed a hand on your shoulder.
“Y/N, why don’t you get ready for the ball? I heard there was a young man, by the name of Namjoon looking for you?” Jin smiled in relief when you finally broke out of your trance, dropping the egg into the bowl as you turned and searched his face for any clue the elder was lying to you. Jin merely laughed and pushed you away, calling, “Hurry up before he leaves!”
You sprinted outside, coming to a halt when you saw people already beginning to enter the palace and ducking behind a crate, you peaked out to see if you could find Namjoon. Next to you, someone cleared their throat and you fell in surprise, turning to find Namjoon shaking his head at you, “I saw you lost your last dress.”
Before he could finish you wrapped your arms around Namjoon and squeezed, “thank you Namjoon. That dress was magical and I had the best night, I really did!” The boy smirked and raised an eyebrow causing you to groan and lightly push him away.
“Stand up tall tonight,” he smiled, and when you looked down you were once again clothed in a beautiful blue dress. Your eyes welled with tears as you balled your hands into fists, trying to stop yourself from hugging Namjoon again and instead you looked at him and gave a watery smile.
Before you could say anything the boy pointed at your feet, “not enough magic to help with your shoe problem.” He laughed as you shrugged and ran your hands over the skirt of the dress in amazement.
“Thank you Namjoon, again.” You wiped at the tears and turned to gaze at the castle, wondering if it was too much to wish tonight would go well for you and Hoseok. Instead of your dress turning to rags because you got confused. Having reminded yourself of the previous conditions you turned to Namjoon who was already walking away, “If I doubt myself will the dress disappear?”
The fae shook his head, “no conditions for a girl who is finally honest to herself.”

It was a night to remember.
Young maidens of all ages lined up to try on the glass slipped, some would groan as they wedged it onto their feet and others would sigh when it fell off their small foot. Everyone was determined to stop the Prince from marrying someone that wasn’t them and yet, the whole ceremony, you stood in the corner watching.
Onlookers whispered in interest at the mystery girl’s refusal to join in with tradition and many wagered that it wasn’t your shoe and you were too angry to try to fit into the shoe. However, having allowed every single maiden in the Kingdom to try on your own glass slipped, Hoseok looked up and finally spotted you.
His eyes were kind as he gazed at you, and instead of gesturing for you to try, he stood and walked towards you. When he got there his smile seemed unable to leave, and you watched in a mixture of embarrassment, fear and excitement as Hoseok held out the shoe for you to try on.
“You are the last maiden of this Kingdom to try,” he whispered as you slipped your foot easily into your shoe, and the ballroom erupted into cheer as Hoseok leapt to his feet, his arms encircling your waist so he could dip you and press a kiss to your lips.
Then pulling you back up and intertwining his fingers with yours, he shouted, “this is the woman I love and shall marry!” And the only thing in your mind as you looked over at Hoseok, his bright eyes staring at you with such hope and his lips spread in a huge smile gave you an experience you had never felt before.
And without thinking, you looked down at your dress, the single glass slipper peeking out from under the full skirt and then back at Hoseok as you whispered to yourself,
“So this is love?”
