Drabble 194/366 - Doctor Who

Rose’s eyes snap open.

“Hold her still,” says a voice, vaguely registered, pilot-master. Her spine burns. She feels—shattered glass, twisted metal, ruined limbs. She is still the Bad Wolf, and she can’t be, she’s too awake, she strains the limits of her own skin and the Bad Wolf is too much to fit-

“Easy, Rose,” gentler voice, the fingers carding through her hair, pilot-doctor- Ten. Her friend calls himself Ten. “Keep breathing.”

She screams as something’s forcibly removed from her body, severing her connection to the Bad Wolf.

“Careful-”

“Do you want her comfortable or alive?” Saxon cuts him off.
