A branch crunched beneath Katza’s feet as she and the others walked, they’d been at this for nearly a month. Endless walking for days, avoiding people and towns until they had to, than bribing a man for his boat with their hair. And to think all this was because Reim had an infatuation with slaves, something that the tribes of Grania didn’t have for the most part. 

A few weeks prior to their journey, some of their village members had been captured in the attack on the Remainian border. And despite being hunters by trade Katza, her teacher, and his hunting group had all been sent out to retrieve them. Upon loosing their tribes men, the other warriors had kidnapped a member of the Reimanian border patrol and made him confess as to where they were going, and so Katza and company had set out to go all the way to the Madrial Company in the south. 

By either pure luck  or divine protection, they’d managed to make it onto the island the slave company was located on, as well as quickly beginning to sneak their way through and around the main building. 

Despite both the purpose of the journey and how long it was taking, Katza had been enjoying it up to this point. She’d gotten the opportunity to travel farther than she’d ever had in her life. She’d gotten to see the ocean, and yet Reim still wasn’t perfect, far from it in fact.

The Pointer Inn Isle of Wight, Hampshire While the people of the UK bicker and tear themselves apart over yesterday's referendum result; three Brexiteers and a Remainian venture off mainland Blighty and down the Solent for June's Calendar pub. The Pointer Inn in Newchurch is a country pub with 4 Fuller's ales and a polite British atmosphere. Sadly, it also comes with British weather but our spirit won't be dampened. This month's Calendar Crawl has come at the right time, during a period of uncertainty and division, four blokes have put the bullshit behind them and unified under a common love for travel and beer. Context: immediately after the Referendum vote in the UK, hundreds of xenophobic attacks were witnessed in the street and in social media. Romanians immigrants were an important target of the hate speech promoted by tabloids and populist politicians. Leading Romanian newspaper Gandul.info decided to fight hatred with empathy and launched RomaniansAdoptRemainians.EU in just 48 hours. Thousands of British citizens applied to be adopted by random Romanian volunteers and generated virtual Romanian IDs. Describe Idea Via a playful mechanic, we invited Brits and Romanians to rediscover the power of social media. Romanians could volunteer to adopt randomly allocated Brits applying for adoption. The website has a mirroring structure equally welcoming Romanian adopters and British adoptees. The generated virtual IDs were personalized with both the data of the parents and the “adoptees” and can be shared by both, further spreading the unity message.    Describe results & achievement The real-time response went quickly viral across the globe. Most news and media outlets mentioned the Romanian initiative (generating EUR 2.6 million in earned media equivalent and 126.7 million PR impressions) and several British journalists applied to be adopted. Most of them unearthed the deeper social and political message calling for a firmer response from the authorities against xenophobic acts. The campaign website registered 214,705 page views and 100,382 unique viewers, 47% of which from UK. In just two weeks, 5,566 IDs were generated using our platform. The UK Ambassador to Bucharest, Paul Brummel, commented favorably about the campaign and so did several British MPs.
