the silt verses and the owl house are currently on a similar tier of familiarity in my brain which is funny because obviously they're very different pieces of media (adult horror podcast vs children's cartoon). like the depth of the gore and the tragedy is different even though there are 1 to 1 episode parallels here and there, since both stories are vicious critiques of late-stage capitalism and colonialism and state violence.
but i've listened to and rewatched (and read the transcripts for) both So Many Times Now that they're permanently embedded in my brain. i go back and i re-experience them knowing every story beat and when i notice new shit it's stuff like "oh, there's a callback to that 30 episodes from now" or "oh, you sowed this theme THIS EARLY??" or "OH, THAT'S A SUBTLE BIT OF CHARACTER FORESHADOWING I HADN'T PICKED UP ON BEFORE...."
because both pieces of media are equally saturated with very very Very detailed thematic sandboxes and smart storytelling. GOD i love them both. i really really Really do.

HEY BESTIE??? I just started the Mistholme Museum yada yada long title and ummmmm… I’m only on episode three so far but ummmmm…. THE FAE ONE???? HELLO???? HOLY SHIT WHAT A START aaaaaaahhhhh very good podcast. Any other recs ??? 🤓
HI BESTIE!!!! AND WELCOME TO THE MISTHOLME MUSEUM OF MYSTERY MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY!! ENJOY YOUR TOUR!
I'm so happy to hear that you like it! thanks for telling me <3<3<3
it's a great podcast and I can't recommend it enough. and the tour guide (my beloved) it's doing its best AND it's a sweetheart AAAND should and must be appreciated by more people!(sorry, I'm very defensive about my (beloved) tour guide, especially after stuff that happens in later eps)
I don't have many podcasts to rec that you have not already listened to. I Am In Eskew is very good although it will make u sad, but in a cathartic way... I hope.
I have also listened to Dark Dice, which is a d&d horror podcast. very good, pretty scary (and funny) and with an incredibly good narrative flow for a rpg podcast. Also the players are the cast of season 1&2 of The White Vault.
Oh yes! Old Gods Of Appalachia is a delicious queer horror podcast as well! so give it a try if you haven't already
I saw you start The Silt Verses btw, how is it going? for some reason I couldn't get past the 1st episode. I guess I'm not in the mood for religion focused horror podcasts atm.
that's about it. I'm stuck in Night Vale rn. I have caught up with it and started a relisten and I suspect that it won't let me go until I finish it again lol
