People who are criticizing GRRM for being unprofessional for not airing out his grievances privately should kill the Brand Management Team in their heads. His public criticism wasn't even that scathing. Some people are acting as if he scheduled a press conference so he can bash the show when all he did was have a mild take on what's basically the equivalent of his personal livejournal (his not-a-blog where he posts the most mundane of thoughts and the most miscellaneous goings-on of his septegenerian life). The way some people micromanage celebrities and artists and don't allow them to express even the most milquetoast of takes because they're more concerned how it'll reflect on the Brand™️ is wild. The way some people empathize more with a company's PR and legal team than the actual creator is wiiiiiild.

He's their new global ambassador. It's definitely another case of making himself the face of one of Ferrari's sponsors (Puma are one of Ferrari's premium sponsors starting from this year so it'll be a while before the partnership is even up for renewal). He's really stealing all of them for themselves genuinely A+ sponsor game. AND he looks very pretty
That said!! Reminder that Puma is a BDS boycott target so I personally won't be buying any of their products even if they put Charles front and centre naked to sell them

It amuses me that people act like everything that happened to Heathcliff at Wuthering Heights was "revealed" in Canto VI. Buddy, I read Wuthering Heights TWICE before Canto VI released, and predicted most of what happened (including how Heathcliff was treated) before the game's release.
#it's why I was so critical of Ishmael--I've always said that if the Sinners change how they treat him after certain Cantos I'd forgive them#Ishmael and Heathcliff resolved their differences at the end of Canto V--and in Canto VI Ishmael tried to reassure Heathcliff--#--that Hindley was in the wrong‚ not him#additionally I didn't like Vergilius until he rushed to the Sinners aid in Canto VI and Heathcliff called him family#and Rodya and Dante have been under scrutiny since the mini episode before Canto VI released#I still stand by my statement that if Faust changes the way she treats Heathcliff I would hate her less#I'll still dislike her ... but it wouldn't be outright hatred#anyway--thinking about the book again#did you know it's my favorite novel?#r: remind my heart to beat 💢#a real page turner: Wuthering Heights#scattered pages
