How PDP upstaged El-Rufai’s Assembly candidates in Kaduna

The final results of Saturday’s parliamentary elections in Kaduna State showed that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 70 percent of the seats contested. The ruling All Progressives Congress won four while LP secured 2 seats, representing 20% and 10% respectively. The feat could be attributed to the former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district and Civil Rights activist, Shehu Sani-led PDP Technical Committee. The Committee designed a functional strategy to upstage the All Progressives Congress, APC National Assembly and Nasir El-Rufai’s preferred candidates in Kaduna in last Saturday’s elections and it perfectly worked, given the outcome that was released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Prior to the election, a technical Committee was inaugurated by the Kaduna State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party with Shehu Sani as Chairman while a former Commissioner in Kaduna State, Mohammed Wusolo and ex-Kaduna House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Farakwai serve as members. The Committee was mandated to mobilise members, and voters and reach out to women and youth groups across party lines. This is in addition to traditional rulers, workers and the aggrieved retrenched teachers in the State. According to Sani who spoke with our correspondent, the All Progressives Congress consistently engaged Islamic clerics in their propaganda while Labour Party uses Christian Clerics but the Committee chose to engage workers, teachers and the bandits-riddled parts of Kaduna State. In subsequent hearings, the interim bail period would not be extended, according to Judge Amitabh Rawat. Umar Khalid, the defendant, is ordered to desist from getting in touch with any of the witnesses or tampering with the evidence after being freed. During the time of the interim bond, he must also provide the investigating officer with his cell phone number and keep it unlocked. He will daily video chat with the investigating officer during the interim bail. While on supervised release, the accused is prohibited from speaking to the media, including social media. He won't be talking to anyone in the general public.

It’s a shame that Umar Khalid has been arrested in a framed fiasco by the police while saffron hatemongers like Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur and Rambhakt Gopal who openly called for genocide and open fired in Shaheenbagh respectively are roaming scotfree. Komal Sharma, the woman from ABVP who could be identified vandalising the properties of her own University and harming other students who don't go by her ideological position and were peacefully protesting against fees hike, also escaped punishment. It seems like the laws of this country are specifically modified to put the marginalized behind the bars when they raise their voice against mistreatment. What connections can a man have with a planned pogrom against his own community? Umar Khalid and other student activists have been repeatedly targeted for their religious origin, for long. Umm Salama, whose full name was Hind bint Abi Umayya ibn al-Mughira, was amongst the first converts to Islam, along with her husband, Abu Salama. When persecution and violence against Muslims became rampant in Mecca, they were among the first brave Muslims to make the long migration to Ethiopia in 615, a place where Muslims were offered sanctuary. 

Upon return to Mecca years later, the couple realized that the situation in the city had not improved as they hoped it would. When the Prophet received an invitation from Medina, he and some of his followers decided to move to the city from Mecca. 

Umm Salama and her husband’s plans were disrupted on their way to Medina when members of Umm Salama’s tribe stopped them on their departure. Umm Salama was split up with her husband and son and forced to remain with her family. 

After one year, she was released, reunited her son to her, and given a camel for her journey to Medina. Umm Salama braved the trip to Medina alone until she was joined by ‘Uthman ibn Talha, who didn’t want her to continue unescorted. 

He accompanied her to her husband in Medina before returning himself to Mecca. Umm Salama eventually became a widow after Abu Salama was martyred in the Battle of Uhud. 

At the time of his death, Umm Salama was pregnant with their fifth child. After the child’s birth, ‘Umar proposed that she marries the Prophet. The Prophet accepted the proposal. 

Umm Salama was from the Bani Makhzum tribe, which was the tribe of Islam’s archenemies at that time, Abu Jahl and Khalid bin Waleed. Bringing influential and powerful tribes closer to Islam was one of the noble objectives of the Prophet’s marriage”. 

She took care of the Prophet’s tent during the Battle of the Trench and is considered a companion narrator of hadith. Umm Salamah had a wide knowledge of the Qur’an and how it had been interpreted by the Prophet. 

Until her death, she remained an advisor on legal issues and a devout Muslim.

This was the first statement by AII since it announced the closure of its offices in September 2020, after the Enforcement Directorate froze its bank accounts in connection with an alleged money laundering case. Aakar Patel, the chair of board of AII, confirmed to The Hindu that Thursday’s statement was the first by AII since the statement announcing the closure of offices in 2020.Asked whether AII had re-opened offices, Mr. Patel said: “Our presence has remained. Anarchy 2.0 !!!

As India moves ahead with confidence where against all odds it tackled the Covid pandemic challenge effectively, it is running the world's largest vaccination drive efficiently and it is also helping other countries by providing vaccines for their people. The increase in Foreign Direct Investment of 13% in challenging times has been the best in the world (volume wise still lesser than China) which proves the trust foreign investors have in India and at the same time the focus on Atmanirbhar Bharat where India should be self reliant like it did by becoming a manufacturing hub for PPE's (Personal Protective Equipments), Sanitizers and other products is gaining momentum. India also showed it's strength at the borders where China was shown it's place and a clear message was sent that New India can't be bullied by anyone and national security is paramount. With the Economy recovering, reforms taking place and the Government finally giving a good budget things are only getting better for India. But there are challenges that India faces in today's world which we have to look at.

One of the main challenges India faces today is not from outside but from within. On the name of democratic protests we are seeing violence is taking place and even getting justified. Anarchy 1.0 was seen during the Citizenship Amendment Act and Anarchy 2.0 we are seeing now on the Farm laws. The similarity between both these so called protests is worth noting down. In both the protests the roads were blocked and the Government was getting blackmailed that if they do not withdraw the laws the roads will remain blocked. In both protests violence had taken place on 26th January and an attempt was made to defame India in front of the World. Another similarity was using a section of people whether it be Youth, Muslim Women or Punjab Farmers to make it look as if the entire country is protesting against laws passed by the Parliament but the agenda was to create violence by using these section of innocent people as their pawns. If one keenly observes it is the same so called independent people who are journalists, analysts, activists, intellectuals, lawyers, professors, students and bollywood celebrities who instigated violence in CAA and it is the same ones who are doing it in the farm laws. I am glad the Government has realised that this is a challenge for India maybe not politically since people of India know who these people are but to maintain law and order and preserve national security, it needs to take action against the enemies within. These so called independent people in India are supported by so called independent people in America, Canada, China and Pakistan which is why the Government needs to keep its eyes open.

Now one needs to understand that in a democracy no one should have a problem with protests and protestors because it is their democratic right to protest against any laws that any Government passes. I am glad the Prime Minister in his Lok Sabha speech on the President Address Debate differentiated between protestors and parasites. He defended the right of protestors to protest on any law that is passed and invited them for dialogue with the Government but he condemned the parasites who hijack their protests who not only give India a bad name but the protestors as well. By blocking roads, breaking towers, vandalising toll booths, demanding release of urban naxals and running riot as we saw on 26th January led to the protestors getting a bad name thanks to these parasites.

As I had mentioned above these are the same people who have tried to demean India's image by calling it Lynchistan and Rapistan. These are the same people who question Surgical and Air Strikes. These are the same people who try to defend terrorists like Yakub Memon, Ishrat Jahan, Afzal Guru, Burhan Wani by trying to show them as a victim. These are also the same people who are trying to defend and make a victim out of Disha Ravi now who was caught carrying out anti national activities (FYI even Pakistan has given support on this issue). India needs to expose these anarchists who have been rejected time and again democratically and now want to run the country through the streets.

Thanks to that little girl Greta Thunberg who by mistake shared the Toolkit which mentioned the details on how to instigate violence and demean India's image in the world which was a hidden secret that has now come in the open. We need to also understand that whether it is Greta or Disha, these are only pawns who have been brainwashed by their leftist masters sitting in India and abroad to fulfill their agenda. I hope the Government catches these anarchists and bring them to book so that such so called protests do not take place again and innocent lives are not lost. As I have mentioned before protest are part of democracy whether it is Corruption protest against Manmohan Government or OROP (One Rank One Pension) protest against Modi Government but anarchy in the name of protests should not be accepted.

Our institutions have been under attack as well which was recently also mentioned by Ex CJI (Chief Justice of India) Ranjan Gogoi. He had named media houses like India Today Group, NDTV and Indian Express who attacked the CJI because he did not toe to their agenda. Whether it is the Judiciary especially the CJI, Parliament, Election Commission, Army, Police, Media and even President of India, all have been called puppets of the BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) by the same ecosystem. It is important that we make our institutions stronger to protect ourselves from these anarchists who have no credibility left in the public domain but still have enough power to instigate violence in our country.

As I had mentioned in my previous articles that criticism of the Government and other institutions should be encouraged in order to improve ourselves and make our institutions better but in the name of criticism to make allegations to weaken our institutions should be condemned and not accepted. I might have a disagreement with a judgement of the judiciary like for example their decision to suspend the farm laws where I believe that people of India choose a Government democratically to fulfill the promises in their manifesto and the courts should have no say in it unless it was passed unconstitutionally. But just because I disagree with the judiciary does not mean I do not believe in the judiciary or think they are working for the opposition. Our institutions are who have made this country what it is and it is our duty to ensure that we preserve them.

We have heard a lot about article 19 which is right to free speech but it is equally important to read article 51 specifically article 51A which talks about duties of citizens where it mentions about duty to protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India. It also mentions it is our duty to safeguard public property and abjure violence. So for the section of people who keep talking about article 19, should also remember about article 51A where in the name of rights one cannot instigate violence and when that person is arrested they cannot cry victim and say there is no right to free speech. If one wants to live in India it is their duty to follow the Constitution of India in totality or else they will face the law and order machinery.

Finally I want to tell my fellow Indians let's not make sweeping remarks that the entire Youth of this country is like Disha Ravi, Sharjeel Imam, Nikita Jacob, Kanhaiya Kumar and Umar Khalid. India's youth is full invested in Nation building be it PV Sindhu, Mohammed Siraj, Jamyang Namgyal, Anam Siraj (Kashmiri youth) and many others. Just because some of the youth are brainwashed and used for anti national activities does not mean the entire generation is doing the same. For the Youth Nation is always above Politics and they are already taking our country in the right direction in achieving new heights.

Umar Khalid had told a news source(probably newslaundry) that lies would be spreaded on his name and the police would be soon knocking his door. After the Delhi(Dalli)Police claims of Umar having connections to the Delhi riots, there are certain things that need to be pointed out:

1. It was not a riot. It was a planned pogrom against Muslims.

2. Women were raped(rescue teams had contraceptives in their relief list), children were burned alive(a baby died inside a burning house despite the mother crying a begging to let her take the baby out), shot alive, men were in no better position.

3. The people who were shouting Goli maaro saalon ko and were demolishing numerous mosques and putting the saffron flag upon the demolished structures were not in their sane mind but were intoxicated by bloodlust. There's also a news of water bottles being provided to these hatemongers in the pre-riot situation with certain chemicals which had stopped the functioning of rationality in their brain.

4. The police were seen breaking cameras(there are ample amount of videos in the public domain) and helping the rioters by shooting Muslim people themselves. The survivors of the Delhi pogrom had later shared their horror stories to the Karwaan-e-Mohabbat team where they saw the agents of state machinery acting upon their bigoted indoctrination.

5. Let's just be honest! When Narendra Modi said, 'the rioters can be identified by their clothes', what do you think he meant? He and his agents have already otherised and marginalised the Muslims and have been demonising them since long. The arrests of Umar Khalid and other activists regarding the planned massacre in Delhi is nothing but an execution of his words. Here lies the question. Umar has been arrested and framed as a rioter for his religion. The pogrom was against Muslims. There are videos and news of mosques getting demolished and people with saffron flags attacking the dilapidated structures. So, how does the whole 'Umar Khalid conspired in the Delhi riots' thing seriously work?

6. Delhi Police claims that the massacre(i will not call it a riot) is a part of a mudslinging campaign against the Prime Minister by the Anti CAA protesters who organised the riot in the wake of Trump's visit in India. Ha matlab camera todne wala video bhi ap hi ka hai, jhooth v ap hi bolo!

Umar spoke about the Constitutional Rights for 'All'. This 'All' extends to the marginalized sections too. This 'All' includes the Muslims too. We all have seen how the Delhi Police is capable of doing nothing to Ram Bhakt Gopal and other men who tried to disrupt the Shaheenbagh sit-in by open firing there. We all know what the Delhi Police did to the site and the paintings after Shaheenbagh sit-in had to be stopped due the the viral pandemic. The target is of shutting up the democratic voices. The hate speeches of Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur are there, the identification of Komal Sharma has been done! Still they are roaming scotfree. There’s no tomorrow, there’s no new dawn if you don't raise your voice today!
