Orsi Orfai (you know Asta and Yuno father figure) is getting a complete character overhaul

Gotta be honest this started as me wanting to give him time magic to further develop Asta's and Yuno's and their brokenness at Julius betrayal , because in this au at least they associate time with home and safety .

And now while I was searching for more info for Orsi I stumbled upon and completely agree in that he is not a good father with his obvious favoritism for Yuno and almost complete disregard for Asta .

And because with me the only shit fathers there are are either the already dead ones or those who are gonna be killed by their kids for being such a gigantic combination of bad things with shit father's being one .

And seeing that I Don't want to traumatize anyone in the orphanage we are instead going to turn Orsi from shit father to great father . While using what I remember of one of if not the greatest dad in anime I myself have seen the one and only Shiro Fujimoto from Blue Exorcist (again this is from what I remember and my impression) .

And we are going to start with his back story .

For the first 20 or so years I'm not sure what I want him to be . Do I make him an assassin, delinquent , orphan raised on the street or orphan raised in an orphanage ? You know what all the above , were going with all the above .

So we're starting with him being orphaned at such a young age he doesn't even remember he had parents (and if some is wondering if his parents were nobles , they were not , he has no noble blood in at least 10 generations and even that was from a bastards child of a noble) . His years in the orphanage were some of the best in his life (until he got to be the head priest in Hage only then did those young days of his youth start to pale in comparison) which is what later on acted as his motivation to become priest , but that is for later .

While on the streets Orsi had to face the brutal reality that the world is at large uncaring for even a child , had to face the brutality people were ready to put a child under for no reason other than having no one . That was something that scared him for the rest of his life . Even now the way he looks after his children is affected by those scars , it's why he is so protective , sometimes even a little too overprotective because he doesn't want them to have to come face to face with this brutal world as he did .

He at some point got picked up by a very shady group of people (either an assassin guild or a corrupt noble who wanted a child assassin squad) . They tried brainwashing him into being their puppet and had he been of weaker mind and will he would have fallen whoever he did not , so instead he took his time training himself , having a roof over his head and food even if somewhat scarce on his table all while planing either his escape , take over or total genocide of the group all while patiently staling his time . He didn't wait all that long in a 2-3 years he had learned and gotten everything he would have of this place . And in a even if somewhat bloody sense of justice decided on genocide of the group .

With himself back on the street he wandered city to city wondering what to do with his life . It was not the worst life all things considered . And he would have continued to live like this until he met a lost child , a child to whom he helped to find his home . And the child home was the church . The church that in Orsi memories was always the best place he has been in .

And with that reminder he decided to join the church . It was not easy for him however , because that was in the church itself that his world view solidified further facing discrimination . Discrimination for his mana type at that . And it made sense why he was always treated as a spy . With the way the current politics were in Clover it only made sense and with the church's obvious distaste for the house of Kira and even the house of Silva . In an attempt to unmask Orsi as a spy the people of the church put him in Hage and to their surprise the obviously trained assassin not only didn't complain but gave them thank you letters about how happy he is there . It weirded them so hard they collectively decided to not touch him whatsoever .

And that is how Orsi got the position of head priest of Hage . Later one those same people in the main church are gonna trow sister Lily his way to keep the water element noble (who is possible a spy from the Silvas) out of their mana sense , eyes and ears .

And for those curious here is how he treats all his children going from oldest to youngest :

Sister Lily

While technically Asta and Yuno were with him first in his eyes she is his oldest child

She was actually elated by the adoption as her own parents were nowhere as supportive of her own likes and dreams while Orsi is the perfect mix of supportive and realistic

Took on the role of eldest pretty well and absolutely adores her now family

Even starts to proudly introduce herself as Lily Orfai

Asta and Yuno

Is extremely protective of both of the twins for different reasons but still very protective

Tries to sweet talk them out of the Magic Knight not because of status or magic but because it's a dangerous job and he wants his sons to be alive and happy

As stated before he is extremely protective of them both and while most of the time it's played for fun in this au it's a very real and VALID protectivness on his part

One of the examples of his protectivness being valid is actually the first chapter/episode in which the chain dude isn't only after just the 4 leaf grimoire , he also plans to sell Yuno as a breeding tool or just a boy toy to some rich noble and Asta to either a cult or to a mad doctor or maybe even to some sick noble who is going to take enjoyment out of torturing Asta for the "sin" of being born with no mana on his own (the only reason the chain bastard didn't end up dead and drowned in his own blood or other body fluid is because the authority got to him before Orsi)

Orsi protectiveness actually comes in multiple forms on of which is finding jobs his kids are good at that can feed them

He is actually the person who made the arrangements to make it possible for Yuno to learn how to be a shepard and for Asta to learn how to hunt and how to be a doctor

And to this day he is proud of them both , but to be honest he is proud of all his children

Also one of his top best 5 moments of his life was when Asta became a full fledged and recognizes doctor at the age of 12 because when Asta gives it his all he can move mountains if he so pleased

Noelle and Libei

Any sibling of his children are also his children

Orsi became one of their father figures and are just happy to be included and recognized as Asta's and Yuno's siblings by their father

Rekka

He is trying to make her quit being a magic knight just like her brothers

Her colleagues in the Blue Mantis were even thinking her father was a not really good father because he was trying to make her quit

That was of course before they learn that no he does the same for her brothers and if anything it's even worse on them because they get into more problems than her

Then they learn who brothers are and agreed with her

Nash

Orsi lost his shit once again when Nash also became a Magic Knight

At least he has two of his friends to have his back so it's not the absut worst but he just wants his children safe and happy is it too mush to ask

Arlu and Horo

At the moment (aka 5 years after the start of canon) he is trying to make sure they don't end up as a magic knight because his heart wouldn't be able to handle it

While the brouhaha about Clive being the T8 guest character did die down a bit, there are still some who say that Harada and co. made a mistake for choosing him.

Me: Yes, you are free to express your opinion but unless you are directly involved in Tekken 8, your opinion is just that, an opinion.

This is also a case in one of the articles in fandomwire (a sucky and clickbait site) where the writer was outright accusing Yuki Tabata of Black Clover of Plagiarism since one of the antagonists in BC, Zenon, uses bones as weapons and he outright copied Kimimaro and the insistence of Yuno-Asta rivalry is a ripoff of Naruto-Sasuke. However, the article is a failure and comments from readers were harsh, not for Tabata but for the author and the editor. Many comments were calling out the author as a poor researcher and his editor as careless. One user even commented that if the author's logic is to be applied, the Uchihas copied from other fire users like Rekka Hanabishi and Yu Yu Hakusho's Hiei. While its true that both Zenon and Kimimaro uses bones as weapons, the mechanics on how they use their abilities are way different. Zenon's bones are magic based and it passes from his clothes harmlessly. Also, his magic is themed with the human body, similar to his siblings. Kimimaro's bone ninjutsu grows out of his body. On the Yuno-Asta and Naruto-Sasuke rivalry comparisons, its easily debunked. Yuno and Asta are rivals but they are not antagonistic and was primarily inspired by Norse Mythology. Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry was largely inspired by the rivalry of Goku and Vegeta.

To close this post, writers should really do in depth research when writing their articles and not rely on Reddit for ideas. They look like fools when they do that. In addition, its alright to feel bad if you don't get what you want but whining about it online and attacking someone since they didn't do what you liked is bollocks.

in Naruto an example i have is that i used to really ship Naruto and Sakura when Naruto Shippuden first aired ( i was a child back then lol ) they didn't happen, while i was upset. I didn't come to the internet and complain to the creator or send them hate. Especially IN spaces where they can see them. I did end up liking Naruto and Hinata too of course and i when i read Boruto i liked the story and the new characters.

I know your dub watcher and I remember hearing Rekka’s voice for the first time and Nozel and Rekka have the same voice actors

I just remember jumping when hearing Rekka speak for the first time

Lmao I’ve been there many times with the english dub too, like for example the english VA for Gray Fullbuster also voices Twice (i think thats his name) from MHA and it’s sooo weird because all I can picture is Gray when i hear his voice 😂! But I can only imagine seeing and hearing Rekka speak and it being Nozel’s VA it’d be completely jarring lmao!

But Rekka does share an english VA with Zagred from Black Clover and Overhaul from MHA 😁!

I wanted to draw Julius getting bullied by an 11 year old and it devolved into an au.

The idea is Marx is missing and without him around Julius can't do his job because castle staff/authorities are not aware their favorite king is a literal child.

The person who kidnapped Marx is aware and made a threat on Julius's life if he stays in the castle. So Julius contacts William and Yami, the three of them coming up with a game plan to ship him off to the middle of nowhere until their squads rescue Marx and the threat is subdued.

Thus Asta and Yuno escort him to Hage Village, dropping him off on Father Orsi's doorstep giving a very abridged version of the situation. That Julius's guardian was kidnapped and there's no one to take care of Julius in Marx's stead.

Thus, Julius gets to live the life of a victorian orphan for just a little bit and see the future of his kingdom <3

After a breach between Earth and the netherworld opens up over New York, humans and creatures from other dimensions become trapped in an impenetrable bubble that surrounds the city. Forced to coexist in a new city known as Salem’s Lot, the shaky peace between humanity and the netherworld creatures is protected by an underground group of super humans known as Libra.
