The mercenary had been sat in the ice cream parlor for a good forty five minutes people watching and devouring his fourth sundae. Deadpool had just got done saving the world a few hours ago, cut him some slack! Business was business, however, and the second he saw someone he didn’t recognize wandering around looking kind of perplexed, he tugged down the mask, left the building and went into helpful Avenger mode. “Hey!” Deadpool called as he approached. “You lost?”

well, well!

pretty little doe eyed thing ain’t she, huh? sure he’s got a whole collection of wonders tucked beneath his belt ( seen twice as many back in the good ol’ day ) but nothin’ quite like her. ehhh, somethin’ otherwordly or another y’know? just popped up one day like a spring daisy in full bloom! uh huh. nothin’ beaten can rightfully nurture on these lands all thanks to the war business.

law of the land is best keep to yourself if ya knew what was good. but good ol’ gaius never settles for good, always goin’ for the better; the best of the best don’tcha know. this whole shepherd business is still fresh outta the works for him after all, they give him some real sweet incentive to clean his hands and runnin’ with the little motley crew keeps ‘em clean, yada yada. sure, the army is great and all but most of ‘em couldn’t spot a real treasure in the trove and that’s exactly why he needs to play on someone’s curiosity, yep.

lucky for her ( that’s where she comes in, see ) he’s danglin’ a real pretty piece of handiwork by yours truly in oh so suspiciously plain sight, gems sparklin’ temptingly bright, oooh!

Syd had never had such a long day as this one had projected to be, some twelve hours ago. Cases like this were few && very far in between, but when they arose, Syd found himself spending long, long hours at work, the drudgery of looking up facts && checking alibis lonely now that his partner was in the hospital.

It makes him grit his teeth && glance over to the empty desk that belonged to Chaz, anger boiling under his skin. It’s times like this he despised his inability to pull out Alias, go mete out personal vengeance to the scum who had done this to his best friend.

But he was a cop. So he pushes his dreams of revenge to the side, stands up, && exits the overheated workroom for a much needed break. He knew of a winery down the street that would still be open. But as he exited, the light fell on the familiar figure of Kat, the girl shifting from foot to foot.

She’d obviously heard the news.

Sensual Sunday

Valathaan loves stargazing with someone else, not only to bask in the beauty with another person, but to share the folklore associated with each star, their names and their histories. Shamelessly, he even likes to make a little game out of naming as many as you can, which may or may not be because he’s an astrocartographer and will likely come out on top. One of Gwendolen’s wishes was to sail west together and to lie down on the boat, peering up to the starlit skies. It is something he’d always wanted to do. He never could. 

He’d want to be under the stars with someone, under the moon, climb up a high point to see it all the better. Follow the northern lights.

Other than that, Valathaan would love to travel with another person because he does it alone so often. Step through a portal and see what’s on the other side. Grow a flowering garden. Sit in peace in that garden. Share a dream together, to literally be aware like lucid sleep in each other’s dreams. Experience telepathy. Make up a grand tale with someone, completing it together, trying to make it more exciting and enticing than them each time. Finishing a drawing with someone else.

Kat: Holds his hand so hard tbh

       The time he’s spent with her stacked up quickly, in between missions with 2B, curiosity about her making him want to ask more questions about her – what she remembers, what she’s thinking, how she feels about something. He leaves it all off somewhere else, though, picking up bits and pieces of how she reacts towards particular things and forming general ideas based off that. She was expressive ( more than he’s used to, and he’s happy that he can be too without worry ), she showed him things she thinks he’d like, and ultimately her company grew to be something he didn’t want to be without.

       He’s too focused on the species of plants they discovered together, noting little details about them with the thought of looking them up in the database for more information – and she grabs him by the hand. It takes him by surprise, a foreign touch from something that doesn’t involve checking the settings of or a hit from an enemy, so he appreciates it more than he should.

       If he thinks about it too much he feels like he might overheat.

          she does manage to catch him off guard, prompting a nervous laugh that lasts a moment or less. kat’s a good friend to him, so a gesture like this isn’t entirely unheard of. still, he’s not sure what he’s done to warrant something so physically open and kind! the flush of his cheeks is grateful – maybe even a little giddy. “aw, kat! you sure know how to make someone’s day!

      . ` * | AN INTRUDER WAS THE LAST THING Kamui expected to find in the kitchens, but it did explain the loud CRASH she heard from her spot in the library. Curiosity was but one of many that fuels her intent as she pushes the doors open WITHOUT hesitation, though what ——— or rather, WHO ——— was on the other side was FAR from what she expected.

Bare feet seem to be FROZEN in place as doe-eyed hues of ruby take in the sight of the TRESPASSER sheepishly standing before her, mind racing with countless thoughts of who this person was, what she was doing here, &&. how she got in in the first place.

For you see, the Northern Fortress was by NO MEANS a heavily guarded keep : it would’ve proven DIFFICULT for a person to simply stroll in, or even find its location on a map in the first place. The only telltale signs of entry were the drawn curtains &&. OPEN window by the hearth.

But they were on the THIRD floor.

The princess had half a mind to cry for HELP, but something else arises from within her &&. compels her to HESITATE. Perhaps it was the sudden burst of trust &&. the strange feeling of SAFETY that engulfs her senses, preventing her from calling out for Gunter ( or even Jakob ! ). And so, burning questions fall from her lips instead, verbally painting her caution &&. curiosity for the situation at hand.
