“Anyone seen Jo?” Darcy asked as she walked into the den. So far, only three people had made it to their designated meeting spot before leaving for the night’s festivities. She looked over at the closest person to her, Tony, who just shrugged. Tony was reclined back in a chair, practically laying down in the thing, and the closest he came to wearing a costume was putting on a tee shirt that read: left my cape at home. Dig at Strange? Most likely.

“She’s still getting ready,” Bruce answered. In a chair across from Tony, Bruce was sitting in the same relaxed manner as Tony and was showing more skin than she’d seen outside of training or a mission. Doreen wasn’t kidding when she said she gave Bruce a relaxed costume, but did an unbuttoned shirt and jeans count as a costume?

“As her favorite superhero, allegedly,” Tony added. He sounded bored, but his eyes were alert on the opening to the den where Darcy was still standing. Darcy wasn’t focused on Tony now though. Her attention had been pulled to Steve, another lazy costumer just wearing a Superman shirt with his usual jeans. He had shifted though, something unlike him, and was resolutely not looking towards the den doorway. He hadn’t even looked her way, and Steve always looked at people when they entered a room.

“Who is Jo’s favorite superhero?” Darcy didn’t ask the question aloud, but she was curious. As the girlfriend of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, had she picked one of them? Jo could definitely rock an iron suit, but Darcy would pay to see her covered head to toe in green paint.

“Avengers!” The loud yell came from behind Darcy, loud enough and sudden enough to make her jump and spin away, and her eyes widened as she took in the sight. She even backed up a few steps to let the captain walk into the den properly.

“Steve is your favorite superhero?” Darcy got out around a startled laugh.

“Aw, c’mon! Cap is the best!” Jo declared and raised her borrowed shield, but her fierce captain look only lasted for a moment before she started grinning. “Steve, stop blushin’ or I’m keepin’ the shield!”

“So, you two, what’s the verdict?” Darcy asked as she looked between Tony and Bruce. Neither looked upset at not being their lover’s favorite. It actually looked like Tony couldn’t stop checking out the new America’s ass.

“Lovely!” Bruce declared for both of them. Darcy smiled and tried not to laugh at the way the two scientists watched Jo with open affection as she tried to get Steve to spar with her in the den, and she collapsed onto the arm of the chair that Tony was in.

“Happy Halloween,” Darcy whispered to Tony.

“Happy holidays, kid,” Tony said without looking away from Jo. Bruce looked at Tony with the same open affection he’d had aimed at Jo, and Darcy relaxed more against the chair. Hopeless, the three of them.

Alright, Let's have a discussion.

I am fully aware that I am not a big blog, nor is this going to gain much in the way of traction, however, I'm sick and tired of this so it's Soapbox time.

As I'm sure many of my friends and followers have noticed, I've barely been on here the past year and a half. Little to no reblogs from me, no likes, and no new content to speak of. Now, some reasons are not owed to you, but this most recent string of nonsense has broken my silence.

I have spent months, MONTHS watching all my friends get harrassed and chased down by anons for their content, who they chose to be friends with, or even their private issues with other people. I have had several leave altogether, which hurts because I have no other way of reaching them. And if that's not bad enough, you have taken it upon yourselves to FUCKING SPEW YOUR BULLSHIT AND YOUR AGENDA ON THEIR FICS. On a TOTALLY DIFFERENT WEBSITE.

You say we're the ones doing the bullying, the gaslighting, being exclusive of whatever, but the fact is, we don't know who to fucking trust anymore.

YOU...YOU are the ones that are chasing us down wherever you can find us. I have sat here and said NOTHING to anyone, I've kept my had down, barely reblogged or liked anything for fear, and just no desire to have anything to do with any of it. And yet, YOU dragged me into this by coming onto one of my fics, one that hasn't been updated in almost a YEAR, and last reviewed/interacted with in September to clue me in on things that I have no part in. And then you have the AUDACITY to say you're the ones looking out for the oc community. A community doesn't do this. They don't go around spreading other people's business and life choices to strangers. They don't fucking CHASE PEOPLE to harass them, or yell at them, or spew out holier than that BULLSHIT at each other. You deal with things privately. You are just as bad as the anons you CLAIM to be fighting against. So if you are part of this bullshit OFC or whatever letter combination you are a part of, lose my blog, forget my fics, and GROW THE FUCK UP.

~~ Introducing Highway to Hell: A Stranger Things Story~~

“I’ve been telling you for years, you'd be surprised about the things Nancy Wheeler can and would do...”

The responding statement would haunt Stella Henderson well after it altered her life forever.

“Says the one that went and ditched us the second she got into high school and landed herself some mystery boyfriend.”

The accusation was a false one, but she hasn't been surprised at how Nancy had twisted it when 'sharing' with Barb because it beat the alternative. That the older Henderson was deemed ‘too wild’ by Nancy’s mother, and ‘not good enough’ for her perfect daughter. Playing wild games instead of studying, and partaking in debaucherous substances while she did so. But that wasn't the worst part about the day Karen Wheeler decided that Stella wasn’t allowed in her home anymore, no. wasn't even the fact that Dustin now went over there constantly to partake in a game she’d introduced the younger siblings to. It wasn't even that the very acceptance of it in the boys versus her seemed to cement some antiquated gender roles in play at the Wheelers. No, it was the fact that Nancy seemed to agree and didn't fight for her.

But of course Barb never learned that. Stella had already lost one friend going down that path, so why lose a second, just because Nancy Wheeler "Grew up"? Instead, she caught betwixt two worlds her sophomore year. The world where she’d garnished a truce with Nancy to stay friends with Barb a grade below her, and her secret life of DnD and freakish delight with her boyfriend a year above.

The same boyfriend that snuck into Barb’s funeral to hold her hand, and stayed by her side as she processed the grief. The same boyfriend that she held close and hidden away from everyone who wasn’t in their little club, and would bring her dinner at the game shop- no matter how bad he was at cooking. The very same boyfriend that was unaware of the dangers that continually cursed her brother and his friends the past two years. The boyfriend she’d broken up with in the name of keeping him safe.

But this wasn’t the story of how she lost Barb anyway, or how she’d legitimately rekindled her friendship with Nancy. No, this was the story of how Stella Henderson stopped running from the love of her life, Eddie Munson, and how it took nearly losing him and the rest of her home forever to realize it.

The smell of baked bread and a menacing smile on Kate Argent’s face, Lia felt like somehow she’d been setup. Allison clearly wasn’t the one who needed a copy of today’s notes and wanted her to come through the back door. No- her cunt of an Aunt had orchestrated it all. Full of nerves- she can’t help but make a snarky comment.

“I should have expected this” Lia motions towards the oven “I heard about the little werewolf kid’s you easy-bake ovened.”

Of course some sass and forwardness does nothing to unnerve the type of person who would commit such an act. Kate tuts and shakes her head.

“For someone who’s in love with the idiot I’m torturing and holding hostage, you’re not too good at this” Kate set the oven tray, mitts ironically covered in hearts (the woman’s clearly heartless,) down on the counter and pulls out a knife from a drawer “negotiating thing.”

Lia stiffens.

“What could I have that you want? Other then self-respect.” 

Kate laughs. It’s an eery, grating, high pitched sound that reminds Lia of the few women her mother has dated. 

“You’re an oracle and you don’t know what I want?” 

She laughs some more until Lia grows tired of hearing it and turns to leave.

Lia’s met with an overwhelmingly strong grip clutching her camisole clad forearm but thanks to her recent few months of being The Lacrosse Team’s Punching Bag- it doesn’t do much other then cause more annoyance. At which point- Kate’s hand snaps back and she hisses with a pointed look of shock. Clearly she doesn’t know the extent of an oracles abilities.

Now it’s Lia’s turn to laugh.

“You wanna know what I know? I know you’re gonna die.”

She makes a point to channel her inner edgy-teen as she slams the kitchen door and nearly runs into Allison, shrugging her friend off and pushing forward. She’s frantic, mentally, because she’s leaving without answers. She feels guilty.

Maybe I should have told Kate what I saw? Maybe doing things this way, the slower way, is me allowing her to continue to torture the love of my life?

Lia brushes off her doubts and dark thoughts and picks up her pace, pushing her calves even harder remembering her stepdad Bobby’s suicide runs. 

She’s heading for the one person who might be able to help her, despite the fact that she can practically hear her best friends screaming at her in her head to go home instead. But she can’t. She’s only doing exactly what Scott would do if it were Allison, or Stiles if it were Lydia.

That’s what Lia tells herself in order to feel better at least- because she knows there’s gonna be blood.

And lots of it.

I CAN'T PICK A FAVOURITE!! lol that feels like picking a favourite child...not that I have children.

I love that I got to explore obsession with Eric and Amelia in The Art of Seclusion and the lengths he would go to get what he wants. (and that I have a bunch of AUs planned for it lol)

I love that I had a lot of fun writing Caught in the Crossfire with my best friend and I love that there are some people who like it because I honestly thought there'd be none lol.

I love that Tammy Thompson Takes on the Upside Down takes people by surprise and that I get to write it with @vixenofcourse lol.

I love that The Road to Ruin (we started at the end) is a challenge to write and that I started with a friend based on our desire to save a character.

I love that It's Always Darkest Before the (Second) Dawn because I get to explore my idea of Hermione and I get to work on it with @vixenofcourse who has so many good ideas and has been so supportive with everything!

(and I love all the ideas I have and the fics that I haven't posted because I'm excited to share them lol)

Briar Evans Aesthetic

“Slytherin!”

The silence that echoed throughout the Great Hall was deafening, but it was the low hissing that followed it that made the hair on the back of Lily’s neck stand on end.

The purebloods that made up the majority of Slytherin were staring up at the small figure with teeth bared and a vicious glint in their eyes.

A Muggleborn sorted into the house renown for its ideals of blood purity… it spelled nothing but disaster for the poor child, which would worry Lily no matter what, but this time was different. This time it wasn’t a stranger walking into the snake pit.

It was her baby sister.

Lily could do nothing but watch with growing panic as Briar’s small body stilled under the Sorting Hat. She saw Professor McGonagall gently lift the Hat off of her, the woman’s lips pressed tight with barely concealed anger at the green clad students. And Lily didn’t know what she expected. She knew Briar wasn’t one to crumble and break; her feisty stubbornness always managed to out weigh everything else. But even though she knew this, she still watched-eyes wide with shock- as her little sister stood up from the stool, back straight and legs firm, and lifted her chin defiantly in the air as she walked confidently toward the table hissing its displeasure at her. Dark green eyes stared down each and every one of them, not a trace of fear or anxiety to be seen.

And Lily knew, because she knew her sister, that those eyes were burning with all the intensity of a fire, silently telling all of the purebloods currently looking down at her:

‘Bite me. I fucking dare you.’

Her baby sister always did have a foul mouth after all.
