I wonder if Teru's "so that's the kind of world we are in" refers to him understanding why Akane would say something as bold as "you may preffer this present" when trying to 'reasure him'

Or if it's more literal and Teru had experiences with wish-granting/illusion supernaturals before in his exorcist career.
