Finally saw Twisters in 4DX and all I can say is: thank goodness I saw it regularly first because it is VERY hard to focus when you’re rocking and rolling like that lol!
But it was a great time!
If you feel it, chase it!

So just because a film is in 4DX doesn't necessarily make it good, or guarantee that I will sit through it.
I gave it a good 5 minutes after the opening credits. I saw a better love letter to stuntsmen in "Death Proof", without the chick flick audience and normie couples. And the funny part about it is that "Death Proof" is more feminist than "The Fall Guy" could dream of.
In 15 minutes I spotted a divested couple and a homosexual Afr-Am. supporting character.
Not the film for me and I think the audience that stayed and watched it are the reason why there is a over-population crisis on this world today.

If one were to go to the website for Regal Movies they would find four premium formats.
IMAX: The standard. The screen is big.
4DX: They put the stupid theme park attractions with the moving seats and dumb effects in an actual movie theater.
RPX: They just made the theater extra nice.
Screen X: This is the stupidest one. The side walls of the theater have projection on them.

About 7 months ago I bought myself a Regal membership as a way to motivate myself go see a few movies at the cinema as I haven't done that in a long time.
It's been incredible fun since! I've decided to keep my membership and at least once a week or every other week I'll go and watch a random movie. Been a great way for me to destress and reignited my passion for 'em. My favorites I've seen so far have been Blue Beetle, Barbie, FNAF, Argylle, Kung Fu Panda 4, The Marvels, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire and Godzilla x Kong The New Empire.
And a few photos I took for fun.
First time I saw a 4dx movie, and it was the new Ghostbusters! Great movie and 4dx experience. I had already seen it normally a few days prior, but the beginning chase scene and the ending ghost fight were made even more intense with 4dx. Absolutely loved it.

Second 4dx experience + first 3d movie, the Godzilla x Kong movie! Saw it yesterday and had an absolute blast. There were sooo much more monster fighting in it and the human parts were actually quite interesting to see! I was hooked the whole way through, definitely my current favorite of the franchise.
I was also a bit nervous initially as I wasn't sure if the 3d glasses would stay on over my normal ones, but thankfully they were a fine fit and didn't have any trouble with them as the seats moved around. The 3d effects with the 4dx experience was incredible.
Forgot to also take a photo of it while inside the theater, but I did take this. These movies made me love Kong ❤️

I also don't really add up selfies much anymore, but I like this silly double glasses look lol

My friend knew how bummed I was that I missed it the first time around, and sent it to me on Instagram. I was like NO WAY ONE OF THOSE TWEETS WAS MINE HAHAHAHA

Now is the time to find a membership at a movie theater chain. Last night, the dude in front of me dropped $81 on 3 RPX tickets for Devara: Part 1. That’s $25 a ticket plus tax! That’s $7 more a ticket than 6 months ago!
And that’s RPX. Not IMAX. Not 4DX. Not 3D. Not on film. RPX, just somewhat better visuals and sound than regular 2D theaters.
And don’t think it’s just “premium” tickets going up. The regular tickets are $5 more than 6 months ago too.
So unless you have mom and pop theaters that aren’t gouging you for money, please look into free memberships with Cinemark and Regal because they have discounted Tuesdays.
Regal Unlimited (if you have participating theaters in your area) is great because RPX and regular theaters are free while IMAX, 4DX, and 3D are discounted. And that’s unlimited movies any day of the week as many times a day as you want for $19-24 a month! (Service fee applies through the app, free if bought at theater)
AMC A-List is 3 free a week for $25 monthly. (I’m guessing service fee applies each visit, idk I’ve never had it)
Alamo Drafthouse is one movie free a day (must pay service fee because you have to buy through app) for $20ish a month (depending on where you see movies). They do have different tiers and it’s needlessly complicated but still worth looking into.
I know these are the major chains I’m talking about, but please look into your theaters and any charities they work with.
Santikos is a local nonprofit chain for me and they do blood drives every month where they give away a free movie ticket, 30 minute game card and other discounts at their locations if you donate. Every fall they do a food drive where you can get a free game card for nonperishables.
I know I’m preaching to no one when I post this, but I love going to the movies and the feeling you get when you see a good one in theaters is exciting just to think about. But there’s a problem with that. Just seeing a movie because it had good reviews doesn’t mean it’s a good movie. It can be the best acting in the world with an award winning dialogue with the most cinematic shots, but if you don’t like 3-hour dramas or action movies or quiet/silent movies, then it’s not a good movie for you.
You know what you like and you’ll go see what you like, but there may be a movie that surprises you. I just saw Transformers One and from the trailers I thought it was going to be a phoned in kids movie with the worst jokes, but it surprised with with the build up, with the animation, with not as bad as I was expecting jokes. I could’ve easily written it off, but I gave it a shot and now understand why Chris Hemsworth was voice casted for young Optimus Prime. And I know that I wouldn’t fully appreciate the story if I was watching it at home while the world moved around me.
Give movies a shot. Go see movies in theaters. And try to save money while doing it.

Note to Self: *DONT* see the Demon Slayer Movie at Regal in a 4DX format unless you want the Roller Coaster, Super Soaker 900 treatment
Side note: they showed a Sanemi x Iguro side quest that was from the manga, and I LOVED every second of it. 10/10, would see again

Spent a majority of the film watching it from the corner pocket of the front row, but once the final battles got waged, I hit the middle and wasn't disappointed.
Basically had the exp. of flying Anakin's Naboo warship to blow up that fed droidbase.
Made up for making the poor decision of playing corner for the podraces - arguably my favorite scene.
Stayed until the after credits to hear Vader's breath. Found myself applauding Palpantine's rise to power, looking at Jar Jar with the side eye, and reaching for the sky to catch the bubbles at the end with the Gungan celebration.
This is one of the best experiences I have had watching a film in the 4D format, and I come from L.A. , "Warcraft" (2013).
Just to see that '99 on the copyright, I would have liked to see the entire Anakin trilogy in this format today. That wasn't the case, and for the best since the political scenes will induce sleep whether when I was five when I first saw it, or some 23 years later.
Great reproduction and injection of nostalgia with a limited amount of normies to growl, cast scrutiny, and try to flip like Mr. Smith just to engage with me while I mind my business.
There was a double feature with some rom-com next, that's where that last paragraph comes into play. Good things never last in this reality, at least the Anakin trilogy stands the test of time.
And yes, Jabba The Hutt portrayed himself.
