btw when i said 'pop punk meets male delta goodrem' close my eyes was exactly what i meant genre wise and vocally. but i did not even think it may also have strong vibes from both 1989 and smoke and mirrors (two of my favourite albums) at the same time as well as two references that make my water sensitive urban design drenched brain very happy so just letting you guys know, the rest of the fandom is cool and all but luke made this song just for me. it's too much of a coincidence otherwise
