The lake 🌅✨💕

Her heart was racing.

She noticed how distracted Sebastian was by her, as one by one she undressed in front of him. He still held onto her bag, that she handed to him a moment ago to place somewhere safe, completely unaware of how his lips were parted slightly and his chest was heaving with every breath.

If her heart wasn't beating as fast as it was, she might've been giggling at the funny face he was making. After all, it was his idea to take a dip, when they found this lake, hidden deep in this forest. He was his usual overly confident and teasing self, never once thinking she'd actually do it.

Yet, here she was, just in her chemise, her eyes lingering on his darkened ones, before she stepped into the soothingly cool lake. The water was clear and sparkling, giving this place a magical feeling. The plants beneath the water tickled at her feet, her steps getting heavier and slower the further she walked into it.

When she turned around to see Sebastian still rooted to the ground, the first thing she noticed was the very apparent blush all over his freckled cheeks and forehead. Even his ears were glowing red.

She knew, now standing in the warm rays of sunshine, that he'd be able to see through the fabric and see her silhouette. But what she didn't know was how the sunrays made her hair look even more golden, her skin glow and her eyes stand out so much more.

"She's a goddess," Sebastian thought to himself, as he gulped thickly...

...and merely choked, as in the same moment that she looked away, her arm reached out, pulling on the bow of her chemise.

Just like the green bowtie in her hair showed everyone around her, that she was his, she would show him, just how much she meant that.

After half a year (also counting the 4 months of avoiding it) I finally finished this art!!! I'm so happy how it turned out! Thank you @rednite-dork for the help! 💕

I cannot tell you guys how much I love this!

Talking about our MCs and how we imagine them growing old and how they pass away has made me tear up so bad, but it's bittersweet tears! Like sure, it's sad to think about them dying at some point in time, but also it shows how much they have lived through, what they learned and what beautiful things they experienced. Aging is an amazing process and getting old is a privilege. I hope this'll inspire you all to also draw your MC old and wrinkly and just celebrate this stage of life! 💖💖💖

Ah, what the Hell.

I’ll just be doing my MC and her family for this one, since they’re the only ones I actually thought their names through for instead of just choosing a name I liked the sound of.

Melpomeni Asimi

Since Meli is something of a Self-Insert of mine, I gave her a name based off of my/our own. My name is Melpomene, but Melpomeni is the modern Anglicised spelling, so I figured that would be the one used in the Victorian Wizarding community. Of course, given their penchant for Greek names just in general, they may well use the proper one, but I wanted to change things up a little (and also avoid confusion, which is why her nickname is Meli and not Mel). Unfortunately I haven’t chosen a middle name for her yet (or even myself, which is probably why). Some may also be aware that Melpomene is the Greek Muse of Tragedy.

‘Asimi’ is simply the Greek word for ‘silver’; since our username almost everywhere is ‘Si1verwing’, which is intended to be read as ‘Silverwing’, ‘silver’ is something else that we associate with ourselves and that shows up in our work, especially where our SI’s are concerned.

Rowan

Since the twins are half Greek and half Irish, I figured it’d make sense for their parents to decide on one’s given name being Greek and the other’s being Irish; the proper Irish spelling is Ruadhán, but given that he’s going to be going to school surrounded by 90% Brits, almost no one would pronounce that correctly or even go to the effort to try, so it’d make sense for their mother to just bite the bullet and go with the Anglicised spelling just to save him the future headache. The name comes from the Old Irish word for ‘red’, with a diminutive suffix. It can also refer to the tree of the same name, which is considered to have protective properties. His middle name is Apollo, another Greek name, the God of Music (since Rowan is also a singer), and half-brother of the Muses.

Zeus and Mnemosyne

Zeus, the Greek God of Storms and one of the ‘Big Three’ so to speak. Everyone knows him. Mnemosyne is the Titan Goddess of Memory. Together, they are the parents of the Nine Muses--my parents, in other words. It was a fairly straightforward choice. Mnemosyne’s nickname is Mona, but that’s mostly just because that’s the nickname of the actual Mnemosyne within our system.

Mnason Shannon

Mona’s twin brother, Meli and Rowan’s uncle. ‘Shannon’ was just a common Irish surname I picked because it sounded good with both his and Mona’s names (since Mona obviously had to have a maiden name), but Mnason is another name taken directly from a system member--that is to say, my mother’s actual twin and my actual uncle. It seems unclear exactly where the name originated; some think that it may mean ‘reminding’ in Greek.

Andrew

Mona and Mnason’s father. In all honestly this is also a name I just picked because it sounded nice with ‘Shannon’, and looking up its meaning was slightly disappointing; it’s derived from the Greek word ‘andreios’ which just means ‘masculine’ and other things to that effect.

Gerda

Their mother. I picked this one because I had heard it in another game, it seemed to follow the rules of giant names from what few giant names we did see in the books, and I liked it, however I did just learn that apparently ‘Gerda’ is the Latinised version of the Norse name ‘Gerd’ which was ALSO the name of a giantess, whom the god Freyr fell in love with.
