Summary:

The year is 20XX, a destroyed NYC. There's a big gap between both civilians and Yokai; the Hidden City has been relocated, while the civilians of the upper city struggle to survive with each passing day. The citizens had two options (one only): try to move away, or join the Resistance. The war ended, and so the post-apocalypse began.

But what if I told you that NYC is not the only thing that's destroyed? Once, there were four brothers, who protected the city with their whole lives. And when the world needed them the most, they vanished. Or perhaps, not vanished, but they're no longer together…

The leader, Leonardo; the Leader in Blue, the highest rank soldier and ninja of the Resistance. His second in command; Michelangelo, the Mystical Warrior. That's two… But what about Red & Purple?

We don't mention Red… Not anymore….

But there's someone new in this story. Or perhaps, an old friend.

AU fact no one asked me: Donnie's older but when the four brothers all split ways, they changed their birth dates making Leo legally the older one. So they're not twins; they'll NEVER be a pair again.

Donnie's current birthday: October 22nd.

Leo's current birthday: September 5th.

Their ACTUAL birthday is either in June or July, but that's unfortunately lost information within the Resistance Headquarters.

Machinery.

Robots don't have feelings, do they?

Then why do we focus in making them scarily humanly?

I guess humans are the loneliest animals on this planet, but they are also very cruel. An iron hand does not caress the same as a human's palm.

It somehow feels like my heart's made of titanium; lightweight, yet heartbreak proof.

I spent the entirety of my life changing parts like a doll. A heart made of gold is not resistant, it melts quickly.

You can't make someone change without hurting them in the process. You can build your own loving machine; technology is a tool, but not a replacement.

When you thrusted me to the ground, nothing broke but my metal head. You said I am nothing but pieces of metal junk, so you hate the sound of my gear wheels clunk.

Your words no longer hurt me, I was made to not feel anything. But I can feel how the wires inside me break; I forgot you were once my everything.

I became one with my metallic parts. My head is powered with a battery made of lithium, so I guess my emotional disturbances will never forsake. Oxygen is no longer necessary, yet I detonate like water with sodium.

You can’t miss something that never existed.

I smash your skull with my metal hand, blood and guts splatter across my intact, human face.

This is who you made me, this is truly the end.

it's hard to explain. trauma. i would go into detail but the person who put me through the trauma has changed a lot and has been forgiven, so i dont want anyone getting mad at them. i just haven't been able to get over the fear and anger

i guess in termz of elden ring postcanon the thing iz tht like. ok. we DEFINITELY dont kill rykard or malenia in a way tht particularly matterz. like the implication seemz to pretty strongly be that malenia will eventually rise again from the flower she bloomz into after her boss fight. in basically every non-frenzied flame ending Malenia will be back & probably want you pretty thoroughly dead if ur in killing range. presumably an elden lord would need 2 be fending off malenia attackz every few yearz until they either somehow make peace or one of the two diez permanently. rykard iz weirder. if u let tanith eat rykard she will be the new serpent ig. if u kill her well A serpent never diez. az rykard sayz. so idk again some other snakefreak will come along oneday most likely. so ya even in a 100% age of stars playthru those two are. probably reestablishing themselvez in some kinda way.

a tanith-rykard-eiglay blasphemous trinity in conflict with a revived malenia az the remaining major powerz on tlb after the age of stars would be a pretty good premise for some kinda fanfic. or officially licensed fic. u could maaaybe fit a burned & bodyless messmer in there somehow. idk we dont rlly kno enough abt why hiz sister could exist in tht state to Rule it out. im Really not convinced killing messmer killz the abyssal serpent either thinking abt it. az we kno they Never Die. also obviously metyr just teleportz away. hmmm. ya a lot ov the major playerz are still around after our boss fightz actually... i dont rlly think id want an Elden Ring 2 Video Game but if they were to do a sequel in another medium i think a seriez set in the age of stars where people gotta learn to cope with the power vacuum left by the elden ring & all the bossez the tarnished killed while Also dealing with the myriad redheadz and/or snakez the tarnished dont actually finish off would be interesting

ngl i dont actually think the age of stars & age of compassion are particularly mutually exclusive. miquella explicitly abandonz hiz great rune so i dont rlly think ranni taking the elden ring away iz a dealbreaker. i think if u for example burned the sealing tree & then did the age of stars ending without killing PCR then the postcanon ov tht lands between would Probably just be an elden ringless age of compassion based instead on the circlet of light. NOW ov course i think both miquella & ranni would Prefer the other didnt succeed in their planz but ykno. therez nothing Fundamentally incompatible between the two
