Weird Animal Crossing Headcanons!

Tom Nook used to be married to Redd, now is dating KK Slider. He used to just have a crush on him, but after KK came to the island they got drunk on vacation juice and hooked up in the closed Able Sisters’ changing room, and other places after Sable caught them and kicked them out. The next morning, they talked about it and decided to take things slow. After meeting up every Saturday for a few months, they put labels on things. Timmy and Tommy who were so glad to see their Dad/Uncle happy, even though Tom Nook had to make up a sfw story about how they got together.

Redd is single, but still likes Tom Nook. He’s scornful and jealous that Tom has moved on. He always hopes that he will see him in his boat and want him back. It hasn’t worked yet, but he’s hoping if he keeps selling fake art, Tom will get mad enough to talk to him. Recently he came to tell Redd that he was welcome to sell his art on the regular part of the island as long as he didn’t claim the forgeries were real, but Redd told him to go fuck himself.

Blathers is married to Brewster. It was hard being long distance so Brewster decided to move to the island, too. Sometimes Blathers is self-conscious about how much he talks, but Brewster finds it adorable. Sometimes a family is a bird who talks too much and a bird who doesn’t talk enough.

Harvey, Harriet, Leif, and Pascal are in a polyamorous relationship with each other. Harvey and Harriet got together first, then they met Pascal and Leif. Harriet isn’t dating Pascal, but they are good friends. They’re currently a closed polycule.

Flick and CJ are dating. They were childhood best friends, then got together as teens. Now they live together in a 2 bedroom apartment. One of the bedrooms belongs to the bugs and fish. Flick doesn’t talk to his dad much, and people assume it’s because he’s homophobic. Really it’s because Nat loves eating bugs. Another example of politics destroying families 😔

Pelly moved on from Pete after she caught him pirating content from Phyllis’s Onlyfans. She’s now with a pelican named Pierre, who is a Boondoxian. Pierre is scared of Phyllis, as everyone should be.

Gracie is friends with benefits with Pavé and Resetti. She’s a dom and they’re into that.

Dr Shrunk’s wife wanted to open up their marriage and he agreed, but now regrets it. He talked to Dr Shrunk (his wife) about his regrets and she told him she wanted a divorce. He is having a midlife crisis, and now the only reactions he can teach are ‘heartbreak,’ ‘hefty child support,’ and ‘look at my exotic tattoo.’ This is why he is absent in New Horizons, as Nintendo didn’t think these reactions would be profitable. (Geez, show the man some compassion.)

Ankha is taking a break from dating after someone leaked her nudes. She went on a coffee date with Wisp once, but he was too much of a scaredy-cat for her.

Don Resetti has a crush on Beppe at OK Motors. They don’t see each other much, but every time they do is magical. A scrapped part of New Horizons was the player setting them up on a date in exchange for bells, but Nintendo decided against it.

Reese and Cyrus are happy as ever, and are that couple you mute on social media because they make you feel bad about your own love life.

Franklin used to have a Tinder, but deleted it after he only got messages from vore roleplayers. Speed dating hasn’t worked out well for him, either.

Gillivarr has an unrequited crush on Celeste. Celeste is the unrequited crush of many, many people.

Wardell and Niko are in a committed relationship after working together for years. Digby and Lottie had to make amendments to the HHA rule book because they were sick of the PDA.

Something I’ve been wanting to do for about a week: several of my Nintendo ships but I say which would be the Doctor and which would be the Doctor’s companion (because I love Doctor Who)

• I’ll start with my favourite ship: Captain Falcon x Dr. Stewart (F-Zero) — as much as I compare Robert to the 10/14th Doctor, I’m gonna say Falcon is very obviously the Doctor here

• Falcon x Samus (Smash) — honestly either would work perfectly as the Doctor and the other would probably just be a Donna-style companion

• Falcon x Snake (Smash) — Falcon is the Doctor? Idk anything about Metal Gear sorry

• Mewtwo x Lucario (Pokémon but specifically the ones in Smash) — I stand by my claim that Mewtwo would work well as the Doctor in this relationship

• Samus x Peach (Smash) — say what you want about the Mario Movie, there is no way Peach is the Doctor

• Nessa x Sonia (Pokémon) — Nessa is a Gym Leader in a region with a heavy focus on the Gym Challenge and no Elite Four and Sonia is an aspiring Professor. Champions and Professors are basically the Pokémon equivalent to monarchs/prime ministers/presidents which basically means these two have (approximately, I’m pretty certain Sonia ends up as the new Professor by the end) the same amount of power over Galar as each other so this basically means they could both be the Doctor. Also Galar is based on Britain which is where Doctor Who is from so yeah idk

• Calem x Serena (Pokémon) — basically the same deal as Falcon x Samus but probably more Yaz-style than Donna-style

• Serena x Shauna (Pokémon) — any ship involving a player character and a rival is gonna have the player be the Doctor unless the rival is Nemona (or maybe Gladion). Same goes for friends like Lillie

• Baba x Jack Levin (F-Zero) — Baba has the energy to be the Doctor and I think Jack would make a great companion

• Princia Ramode x Lily Flyer (F-Zero) — Princia has the energy but Lily has the experience (despite being younger) so I’ll say Lily for now

• Jody Summer x Kate Alen (F-Zero) — Jody has the experience so I’m gonna say Jody for now

• Gwen x Siobhán (Wii Sports) — Gwen is the Doctor

• Megan x Audie (Animal Crossing) — Megan (being a Normal villager) is smarter and probably a better fit for the Doctor than Audie, even if Audie has the energy. Audie might work better as an 11-style Doctor though

• Adaman x Irida (Pokémon) — see Falcon x Samus. It’s literally the same ship dynamic

• Flick x CJ (Animal Crossing) — honestly don’t think either would work as the Doctor

• Samus x Madeline (Metroid) — Samus is the Doctor, no question

• Leif x Kicks (Animal Crossing) — Kicks is the Doctor because Leif is obviously a companion

• My various pairings for Tom Nook (Animal Crossing) — Isabelle is probably about as likely as Tom to be the Doctor, if not more (because of Smash), Sable is a companion, Blathers could work as the Doctor (with his fear of bugs played similarly to 9’s fear of the Daleks) and Redd is the Master

Yeah, Crazy Redd is notorious for gyping people.

He came the day of the museum’s reopening.

So every time this chiseler comes to my island, he has to ruin the beautiful scenery with his crap-boat?

This boat looks like it’s gonna invade another boat and Somali-pirate the whole thing.

Oh God, the first thing I see is David’s doodle.

So Redd’s crap-boat has the usual 4 art pieces. Only one of them is legit and the other three are not only fake, but haunted.

There are some videos out there of some figures in paintings blinking. It could be a glitch or some other weird phenomenon. But for now, Redd made a deal with the devil and sells haunted paintings and statues.

But that’s not all he sells.

Since then, the tweet has been liked a staggering 149,000 times, intimating it’s not an isolated request, and a Change.org petition (thanks, MXDWN) – which went live six months ago but has only recently found a little traction – has, at the time of writing, secured almost 6,500 signatures.

“I believe the Animal Crossing community would really enjoy it if Nintendo and Build-A-Bear Workshop would collaborate to make Animal Crossing plushies,” writes petition creator, Mark Gonzalez. “I think Animal Crossing fans of all ages would like to buy or even create one of their favorite characters from the game series.”

I'll start by mentioning the changes to the Skully Gang

So, Zell ended up being my first smug then Ankha, Vic and Leonardo (in that order, on consecutive days) autofilled and two days later I found Shari on a mystery island tour. A few months later, Audie turned up at my campsite so after a few attempts I got her to kick out Puddles (which I slightly regret because I miss her but even though I don't really like Al, for the sake of keeping my personality ratios (2 jock, 2 big sisters, 1 of everything else) I could only kick out Puds) and now everytime I hear kk disco I realise just how much I actually liked her

- I sorta ship Agnes with everyone to some extent now (even Puddles, rip) but my main ships with her are now AgnesxAnkha (because they hang out a lot) and AgnesxShari (because they are both big sisters). I also ship SharixAnkha because they also like hanging out. To be fair, most of the villagers I ship Agnes with I also ship Shari with

- RoaldxLeonardo - they are both jocks

- RoaldxAl - recently they had a conversation where Al called Roald handsome (but honestly, this one isn't one of my main ships)

- AgnesxRoald - same as before

- SharixLeonardo - basically counterpart ship to the above

- AgnesxLeonardo and AgnesxZell - basically Agnes has sung with Leonardo several times outside RS and I've seen her work out with Zell at least once but possibly more because it's stuck with me. I see this as formally one-sided on Agnes's side but then after she left their previous town she got rid of her crush on Zell somehow and he realised and got a crush on her and probably stalked her to Skully

- ZellxShari - basically I see this one exactly the same as AgnesxZell. Agnes and Shari are always in harems together AnD yOu KnOw WhAt ThAt MeAnS (I like shipping harem rivals)

- RoaldxShari - well, I guess I saw them sitting together yesterday but I don't really care much for this ship

- ZellxVic (aka the horn duo/buddies) - welp, that's basically it. I ship them because they both have horns (yeah, I have some pretty weird reasons to ship characters) but I also imagine that at their previous town when Redd brought Vic along after he was woken from cryogenic sleep (I have a pretty confusing headcanon) Zell instantly bonded with and fell in love with Vic. Oh, also I sorta see them and their relationship as a parallel to SkinnerxChalmers (my favourite Simpsons ship, btw for obvious reasons, Zell is Skinner and Vic is Chalmers)

- MeganxPuddles, RoaldxPuddles, MeganxAudie, RoaldxAudie and RoaldxMegan - so I see Roald and Puddles as childhood friends who grew up together and did everything together until she moved away (and ended up meeting Ankha and Leonardo, among others) so they had a major reunion when she joined Skully and I mentioned in the original post that I shipped Megan and Puddles. Because of this, I imagine Puddles leaving impacted these two the most. This is part of the reason I ship Megan with Puddles's replacement, Audie. The other reason is they are both ACNH newcomers and my favourite villagers in general (shortly followed by Ankha). I don't really ship Roald with Audie much but she does seem to enjoy hanging out with the jocks and the big sisters. Since Puddles left, I have seen Roald visit Megan twice and they even hung out last Saturday (er, not the fishing tourney, the week before)

- AnkhaxVic - well, one's an Ancient Egyptian cat and the other one's a Viking bull

- LeifxKicks - quite a new one, started shipping it exactly two weeks ago. They just seem to have a lot of similarities ya know?

- FlickxCJ - nothing new here

- The Tom Nook harem - again, nothing new

- CocoxMarina - both were my dreamies at some point in time. When I was dreamy-hunting Coco, Marina appeared but at the time I didn't want her

- PuddlesxCeleste - this one's a bit weird because normally I wouldn't ship a villager with an NPC but I have a (weird) headcanon that when Puddles left, she ended up in some kind of dangerous void where Isabelle (who had been told by Tom Nook) had to call Celeste (probably because she was her closest friend that wasn't busy) who ended up saving her and essentially employing her

- PuddlesxLily - who doesn't ship the two best frogs? I mean normally I wouldn't fight you on an ACNH villager ship but this one seems to be quite popular in the fanbase, heck, you can even look up acnh puddles x lily and get a bunch of related content (meanwhile if you look up acnh agnes x roald you'll very quickly find some artwork someone did of AgnesxAnkha. When I first saw that, I didn't even know Ankha would be joining Skully, let alone hang out often with Agnes)

- HamletxMuffy - appeared at my campsite on consecutive visits, I seem to really like jockxbigsister

- Agnes x Roald. They were my first villagers and for a long time my only villagers. Roald once told me Agnes called him tedious because the only thing he ever thinks about is fitness so I can see this being a running gag in their relationship'

Well folks, my little island has come a long way from just a month ago.

We now have 10 villagers (none of them Olivia or Papi yet) and we added a few new things including...

An outdoor cafe!

And lucky me, it’s been just like my rainy Seattle weather all week on my island.

And the upgrade of Nook’s Cranny (that resulted in a day without earning bells by catching things).

Glad it was on a day where I had a long shift at work.

Got my first visitor.

And played a nice game of selling turnips.

But I’ve been down this route before. How much could I possibly ge...?
