I always try to! It's funny, I'm writer but sometimes I'm absolutely stalled at what to say. If you've commented and I haven't replied, it's not a slight against you; I'm either thinking of what to say, or just haven't gotten around to it yet.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I have some that haven't been published that end a little open-ended or ambigious, but if we're talking published, part ii of summer slipped us underneath our tongue felt kind of evil lmao (I kept saying, "I'm such an asshole" when I was writing it.)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my one-shots have happy endings, but I think the sequel to summer slipped us underneath her tongue will have one that's so sweet it'll leave you with a cavity.

I've gotten one comment recently but it seemed like the person was more upset with the show rather than the story itself lmao

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nothing that's published, but I have quite a bit planned for future works. I feel like the tone needs to be fitting for it.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

No, but I'm not against it. Though, if I were, it would most likely be a 911 x 911 Lone Star one, and it would most definitely be a bit of an AU.

It's gotta be Louis and Lestat from AMC's Interview With the Vampire; that's a love story that'll always be crossing through my mind.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm not sure; I hate to say goodbye to anything, but I'm sure there's a couple of one-shot prompt fills that'll probably never see the light of day.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I like think my world-building is pretty good because I'm very focused on imagery. I took a screenwriting class in college and we mainly focused on action and setting so I think that lends itself to my writing. I also think my angst can be very poetic without being too kitschy.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Honestly, I think it's just trusting myself. I've talked at length with @heartstringsduet about how I'm slowly unlearning being a perfectionist and just writing what comes to mind and then fixing it later. It's been freeing lol

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I'm terrified to do it at risk of sounding absolutely ridiculous to people that speak the native language so I try my best to write around it, if I can.

often and w/ gusto i'm afraid. i need it to be character-focused ie if it doesn't further the characters' relationship in the eyes of the reader then it's basically dead weight. i have stretched this rule exactly once (for "once", read: with exactly one work. of a modest 170k. i get one bodice-ripper as a treat.)

n/a baby. unless you count my dragonfable fic vampirizing the narrative structure of season 2 of russian doll but that's not strictly a crossover is it

no one can be objective abt their own shit but what i enjoy reading back in my writing (in the brief beautiful period before the Cringe encroaches) is the subtext in character interactions. no one EVER says wtf they mean due to shame or pride or the demands of diplomacy or emotional stuntedness or what have you. that old saw about your readers see the tip of the iceberg but you've got to have the whole ehm.. glacier... fjord.. stalagmite... in your head

What are your writing weaknesses?

pacing!! at least in my own view. esp with the [REDACTED] i'm working on now it's like...fuck me i'm trying to cover a long time period without embroidering every single day that passes, but when and where and how often do i switch from brisk narration to blow-by-blow dialogue. only when i want to? only when it's necessary in order for the plot to make sense? are those two criteria different in practice? aughghgh

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

absolutely fucking love it. it has to be a language i feel reasonably confident about (unless it's a fictional conlang, but even then i have a constant fear of getting strung up by lorebeards for conjugating a dunmeris verb the wrong way lol)... that being the case i love love love it. because you get to do subtext 2: electric boogaloo. and what languages do the characters share? and what languages can they use to dissimulate or to speak freely w/o the risk of being heard and understood??? and what does each character's command of a given language say about their social status????? and do they think differently from one language to the other??????? LOVE it. love it to pieces.

realm of the elderlings at the moment, but i was writing for sherlock as recently as this spring (i feel like that explains a lot about me tbh lol)

the sherlock ones are redacted for the purposes of this post, and i only have the two rote ones, a safe place in the world and no other homeland.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i try to and largely fail lol. i am bad at publicly interacting for some reason. i will talk at length to people in DMs but otherwise i mostly lurk. even the few responses i've given on rote pieces greatly outnumber all the times i've responded to comments on my other account. i never know what to say to people. but i keep every comment i get saved in a file bc they make me feel better and i read through them a lot. @commenters i promise i'm not ignoring you to be standoffish i'm just Bad At It but i love you all so much

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

i don't tend to write anything that doesn't have a happy ending. in rote it's a guarantee even if there's some suffering along the way, and in my sherlock days i spent years primarily as a fluff writer so even before i expanded into longer more serious projects the happy endings were always the point for me.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

rote wise technically only one of them /has/ an ending. but in general my endings are always happy and i'm not sure how to rate one happiness over another.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

despite being involved in fic since 2012, i have dodged that bullet

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

not really. i hate writing it lol if something i write has a sex scene in it, it's going to usually be blurry and impressionistic and is mostly a vehicle for a specific chunk of dialogue or internal monologue that i wanted to include. it's an ordeal to write. those scenes take literally 4-6 times longer to write than any others. miserable.

crossovers no but i love me an au.

i don't really have any active WIPs when it comes to fic (original stuff is a whole other can of worms). i usually can only focus on one thing at a time, but the other day i stumbled across some notes from like six years ago for a bbcs sound of music au that i would like to get back to eventually.

16. What are your writing strengths?

for rote i've been told i do a good job with characterization and imitating hobb's style and tone. based on the yelling i get on both accounts i'm good at closing lines. in every piece i just want to write That One Line that i know will make people feel crazy. i'd like to think i'm good at writing dialogue. everything i write both in fic and original stuff is built around conversations i want the characters to have and it's my favorite thing to write.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

sensory/physical details/set dressing. i get very in the character's head and disregard the surroundings in favor of internal monologue. i know that's because i'm a very internally focused person and so often wander around totally unaware of stuff outside myself (it's the autism lol). which means in writing i'm more willing to gloss over anything i deem irrelevant to whatever is happening emotionally between the people talking. the end result is there are certain details i draw attention to while disregarding everything else. (what color are the clothes? unless it's symbolically relevant, no idea. what are they eating? who knows. what does the room look like outside of the corner they're in? it's a mystery.) i am also the worst about what i dubbed "crutch words" where i'll get hung up on a certain word or phrase and overuse it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i've never done it and could probably only manage some bad french

sherlock lol

this may be recency bias but i really like the stuff i've written for rote lol. similarly there was a sherlock fic that i started back in 2017 and was posting as i wrote it and then just. stopped and didn't come back to it until 2022 when i looked back over it and was like wait i like this (this is also why i don't start posting stuff until it's 80%+ complete already, to avoid that ever happening again lol). it was a book length fic and incredibly self indulgent and it's still one of my favorite things i've written. but rote fics allow me to do more with the actual prose bc there isn't the expectation of that specific Fic Tone in the writing and there isn't the weird loathing most fandoms have for first person pov so i'm very fond of my rote stuff.

Redacted Audio, Owari no Seraph, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Funamusea Universe, Hollow_ VA, Tokyo Ghoul, and D.Gray-Man by technicality though that oneshot isn't done or posted yet, lol. The ones I write for on the regular honestly vary depending on my mood and current devotion to the series, including the possible spite I feel towards that series, lmao. There are way more brief fic sparks I get for other series, but just never get the inspiration to go through with and end up forgetting.

Probably Inversion: Another Story considering all the death and bad things it leaves off on, lol.

To Date a Vampire, though it's more like...reader-self-insert-y I guess? But is basically pure fluff, lol.

8 - Do you get hate on fics?

Not yet! I expected to get more hate for how many OC and OC/Canon fics I write, but my fics don't tend to garner much attention over all anyways I think, so it can't reach the loud haters, lol.

9 - Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope!! I hate writing smut, I don't like reading smut that much either. I'm a fade-to-black type writer. The closest thing I'll get to writing smut is maybe writing brief instances of the off-screen smut, and there'll be a graphic sexual assault scene later in EIC (y'know, for the therapeutic aspect).

10 - Do you write crossovers?

...Technically? Lmfao. Though unfinished, Our Solemn Hour is a crossover with Tsubasa and X/1999, with many of the X characters appearing in it mostly as cameos. Embers of an Iridescent Cage is maybe a crossover between stories? Though, Decem: Anges et Demons does exist now. Burning Wings is a crossover-ish with characters from Tsubasa in a setting inspired by The Last of Us, though I didn't crosstag it in the latter fandom since the only similarity is literally just the setting. And that's all.

11 - Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I better fucking not. (No one wants my trash lmfao.)

No, but that would actually be incredible if it happened.

That's a great question. (It honestly varies depending on my mood. Mostly OC/Canon ships probably. I do still adore SuzuFeri.)

(I don't personally ever plan for this myself for fics, but it is a small thing I plan on doing research for in my novel series, and I feel the same about original work too.)

OKAY SO, I think my actual first fanfic ever was a Kingdom Hearts fanfic, but the first one I posted on ao3 was for Owari no Seraph.

I don’t have that many fics unfortunately? I used to write a lot on my teens, I still have some stuff on my AO3 (and I barely remember what they were about), but I didn’t write for YEARS after that. A few one-shots here and there, but mostly I went on a 7-ish year drought until may 2021 when I picked it up again, and fortunately it doesn’t look like I’m stopping any time soon!

Alex/Miles, 145k, completed

Alex Turner thought he got over the love of his life, but then they run into each other again a decade later. Whether they’ll be able to let the past go or not, only time will tell.

Still posting this one, as many of you know it, but it’s by far the story I’m the happiest about. Even outlining this one was a challenge because of the two timelines, but I’m really happy with the result. 

It’s also the biggest thing I’ve written (so far, we never know what the future might bring), and I love revisiting some things and realizing that every word that’s in this story needed to be there. It was also the most personal thing I’ve ever written, so if you read it to the end you have to know there’s a really big piece of me in this story.

Alex Turner and Matt Helders are vampire hunters in what was supposed to be an ordinary hunt, but they have been stuck in it for a month with no signs of actually finding the vampire they’re hunting.

Their fate starts to turn when Alex crosses paths with Miles, a mysterious man who seems to come out of thin air, and Matt finds out rumors about an old castle that may have what they’re looking for.

Ah, c’est horrifique! my beloved. This little monster started as a challenge (@thranduil-aran-edhil​ this is all your fault) that was basically like ‘hey, you know that crazy vampire AU idea you have? You should write a page of it’. One page became several pages and sooner than I realized I was knee deep into a story about love and friendship and betrayal and grief and it was SO fun.

This was The thing that drove me out of my writing drought, and it was also fun because it was the first multi-chaptered thing I’ve ever written in my life. It was also the first big thing I’ve ever written in English, and though I was pretty familiar with English by then (being here + reading almost exclusively in English + working for an american company where I’m required to speak English all day long... you kinda pick up some stuff), writing (especially something as big as this one) is just a completely different thing altogether.

I love it, even though I feel like I would change some stuff here and there (especially at the beginning), but overall I’m really proud of what I did on this one! I have very solid plans for the sequel and it’ll probably happen after my current WIP. I’m still not done with that funky lil vampire hunter and his vampire boyfriend. 

i’m beginning to think i imagined you all along

In the summer of 1814, a mysterious author wrote a love story between two men, so naturally Alex moved heaven and earth to find him, and they start corresponding even though they’re unaware of each other’s identity.

On another, completely unrelated note, a series of mistakes lead him back home, to Yorkshire, where he’s given a mission by his father in order to restore what’s still left of the family’s reputation.

This came to me when I was watching Bridgerton S2 and I did absolutely 0 effort to stop it and I will make everyone go through that with me.

Again, this one is still in progress, but it’s already my beloved child. I can’t say much about it because... reasons, but coming up with the letters and the regency vibes and all that kinda stuff is SO FUN. 

Also the first smut scene of this fic is on the first chapter and I’m weirdly proud of it. I’m earning that Explicit rating EARLY in the game, y’all.

I wrote this lil one shot back when everyone was all over IT Chapter 2, but it’s been sitting on my google docs ever since. The reason I added this here was because this was the first thing I’d written in years, and I revisited it a few months ago and it was really interesting to see all of the elements present in all my recent fics are all there: the long paragraphs of internal monologue because I’ve always been a whore for character study stories, Richie’s scene with Stan and the huge focus on friendship that’s present on all of my fics, that constant bittersweetness that actually ends in something sweet--

In The Flesh, 2k, one-shot

Jem has a nightmare and ends up finding a friend in Simon.

Rewind to 2014. I had three big obsessions at the time: Arctic Monkeys (again, I’m a consistent bitch), Shameless US and In The Flesh. For those who didn’t touch this corner of tumblr back in the day, In The Flesh was an excellent BBC3 show about zombies that end up being “reformed” to live in society. It touched on a lot of heavy shit like homophobia, depression, religion, suicide... and in my honest opinion it still holds up in 2022. I think it’s a little difficult to find it to watch nowadays, but if you happen to come across it, give it a chance. The whole thing has 9 episodes and you can watch it in a weekend.

Anyway, I was obsessed with the main couple of the show, Simon and Kieren, and I ended up writing some stuff back in the day. I didn’t even remember writing this particular fic before being tagged on this, so I was just going through my AO3 and this was the one that surprisingly caught my attention even though it’s not a romantic fic, and instead focuses on the bond between Simon and Jem, Kieren’s sister.

It’s not really good compared to the stuff I write nowadays (I was 18 when I wrote that, for starters), but again it’s really interesting to go back and see that all of the elements I would later explore much much better on my recent fics were all there from the beginning. 

I probably would’ve done a much better job if I wrote that today, but 18 yo me didn’t do such a bad job. Good for her!

Character bios/descriptions

Here’s some descriptions of the sides in this au cos i wanna talk about them like all day lol

Patton Sanders (formerly Shepard):

Age: 29

Pronouns: he/him

Height: 5’6”

Straight chestnut brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, hint of a tan but nothing too extreme, rectangular glasses with black frames, usually wears clothes that are comfortable (especially oversized jumpers), loves wearing beanies (often steals Logan’s, who hesitantly allows it) (mostly cos he’s really freaking cute in them)

Really good with kids (ofc) and is such a people person, but can get shy around older people (specifically men old enough to be his dad)

Very good at reading emotions and knowing what people need, whether it’s a hug or alone time

Has asthma, but it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be

Is an only child to a mother and father, but ended up running away cos his dad became really overly aggressive

His uncle on his mothers side is Emile, who is married to Thomas, and they both took Patton in once it became clear that emiles sister and her husband were unfit parents (although Patton’s mom was much better with Patton and actually helped him run away) which was when he had his last name changed to Sanders

He met Logan when he ran away and they both went to emile and Thomas’s house together (I actually wrote the story of how they met for 25 Days of Ficmas on my main blog uwu)

They started out as friends for a long time until Patton found himself falling for Logan, who revealed that he had been crushing on Patton for quite some time

Their relationship started out rocky as neither of them knew exactly how to date (theyd dated other people before, they were just remarkably bad at it) but they made it through in the end

Logan Sanders (formerly Adams):

Age: 28

Pronouns: he/him

Height: 5’11”

Curly, light brown hair, amber eyes, moderately fair skinned, a lot of freckles on his face and arms, round glasses with silver frames, dresses much differently depending on if he’s home or in public - at home he’ll wear T-shirts and casual lounge pants and beanies and stuff, but in public typically sticks with a polo shirt and jeans, sometimes with a necktie depending on the setting

Has a tendency to put up a cold exterior around strangers or when in a public setting, but around loved ones he’s much more relaxed and casual, but still usually struggles to express his feelings.

He’s an amazing father, although sometimes he doubts this despite how much his kids absolutely adore him (he also has a tendency to doubt his own intelligence, even though he’s incredibly smart)

Is autistic, on the high functioning end of the spectrum, and has worked with professionals for basically his whole life to work on reading social cues and such, which he’s much better at now

Has three younger sisters - from oldest to youngest, Ellen, Renae, and Ashley. Logan being the oldest sibling, he’s always felt quite protective of his sisters. Can and will physically fight the whole planet for them

Their father died when Logan was 16. He was completely distraught over this and ran away from home. It was the most reckless, impulsive thing he’d ever done, but he doesn’t regret it for a single second, because that was how he met the love of his life

He did end up going back home to his family, because he knew they needed him

Virgil Sanders:

Age: 4 (birthday December 19)

Pronouns: he/him

Height: idk however tall four year olds are

Floppy black hair, gunmetal blue eyes, about as pale as a vampire, always wearing something purple (most notably the light purple polo shirt Logan couldn’t resist getting him, as well as his dark purple jumper that’s a size too big)

He’s fairly shy, though Patton and Logan tend to avoid calling him as such (they typically say introverted), but once he warms up to new people he’s a delight (it took him quite some time to fully trust Janus, but even from day one it was clear they connected on some level). He adores insects and arachnids, and much to Patton’s dismay, his favourite is spiders. He wants to be an entomologist when he grows up, but he can never remember the word for it, so he says “bug scientist”

Is suspected to be autistic but has yet to be tested for it

He was adopted by Patton and Logan when he was an infant. His mother was sixteen years old and had to give the baby up, due to her parents insistence, plus she knew she was unfit anyway, and it didn’t help that the father completely abandoned her. Patton and Logan matched with her in the adoption process when she was three months pregnant and it was quite the journey from start to finish

Roman & Remus Sanders:

Age: 8 (birthday June 14)

Pronouns: both he/him

Height: uh average

Both fairly tanned having spent over half their childhood in the sunlight, Roman has short dark mahogany brown hair and forest green eyes, Remus has longer, curly dark mahogany brown hair with jade green eyes, they both have dark freckles, Roman’s mostly on his cheeks while Remus’s are basically all over his body, and Remus has a gap in his extremely crooked teeth as well as green braces. Roman has all manner of Disney apparel, but he especially loves wearing his white Mickey Mouse shirt with the long red sleeves, and he’s also unafraid to wear traditionally “feminine” clothes like dresses and skirts. Remus... prefers not wearing clothes at all honestly but Logan and Patton insist on it, so he tries to wear as few clothes as possible, usually his neon green tank top and dark brown cargo shorts

They’re very different from each other but they do have similarities and can work well together. They pretty much never admit it but they do love each other despite their differences and near constant bickering.

They’re both dramatic, but in somewhat different ways. Roman is dramatic in that way that’s like “I’m literally tinkerbell because you have to give me attention or I’ll die”, while Remus is more like “this little tiny thing inconvenienced me so I’m gonna overreact and formulate murder plans against whoever/whatever dare make my life unbearably difficult”. They’re also both very creative, but of course they have different views on creativity (I doubt I need to get into specifics). They also both love Disney, but roman is more into classic Disney while Remus prefers Pixar

They both seem to exhibit traits of ADHD but haven’t been tested for it yet

They were around three years old when their mom and dad both died in a car accident. It was two years after that that Patton and Logan decided to adopt them both, despite only planning on adopting one child. Virgil was a year old at this time, and they wanted an older kid, and they ended up with two. And really that was fine by them, they just knew that this was it; no more kids, at least for a little while

Janus REDACTED

Age: 15 (birthday February 3)

Pronouns: he/him/they/them

Height: 5’7”

Medium length light golden brown hair, two different coloured eyes (right - cognac, left - chartreuse), fair skinned with a red birthmark taking up most of the left side of his face, missing right leg where he had to get an above-the-knee amputation, which causes him to need forearm crutches, he usually wears clothes that cover as much of his body as possible, and he oftentimes - if not constantly - wears foundation and concealer to hide his birthmark, although Patton and Logan insist it’s not necessary

He tends to avoid people when possible, since he’s developed quite the trust issues over the years. Going from foster home to foster home has made it difficult to allow himself to get close with anyone. In spite of this, he always seems to find himself bonding with the kids in his foster families. Especially the Sanders family when they first took him in (their original plan was to simply foster him... that plan fell through as they very quickly decided they wanted him to be part of their family)

Overall they’re a sarcastic cynic with a knack for storytelling, and while they seem cold and reserved on the outside, completely uncaring about the world around them, really deep down they just want to feel loved by someone, they want to feel accepted and like they’re really part of a family, like they’re actually wanted

They developed a bit of trauma from their birth family situation but a lot of it has been worked out, although they still have issues to work through even after all this time

They were ten when their dad got blackout drunk, forced them and their mom into the car, and started driving. Janus still has no idea where he was trying to go, but they never made it. They got into a monumental car accident, and Janus was lucky they made it out alive, although it costed them their leg. Their mother died unfortunately and their father was on life support last they heard. They never found out if he woke up or if he was taken off of it, so they have no idea if their dad is dead or alive. They tell themself they don’t care, they don’t wanna know either way, but they do. They feel like they shouldn’t, since their dad hurt them and got their mom killed, but they did have fond memories of their dad, which made the entire situation that much worse

So yeah on the happiest of notes there’s the main fam-ILY!!! :,)

I always try to vary the ships I’m writing to give content to all ships, even the small ones. But over this year I’ve come to love Chanlix a lot, so the ship I’ve been writing the most is Chanlix, Jilix being a close second.

Best/worst title?

Best: For as long as I am breathing. I have no idea why I like it so much, maybe it’s because I like the au so much but it just makes me happy when I see the title.

Worst: Red as blood and green as seaweed because ?? what ?? but since it was just a short thing I’m not gonna bother it hdhd

Best/worst first line?

Best: The moon was bathing the lush, green forest in its sickly white light as it slowly rose on the dark sky. - From Twist and turn, moonchild. I just really liked this one for some reason. It sets the mood really nicely imo. Worst: “You look nervous,” his father noted as their carriage was making its way towards the castle. - From For as Long as I am breathing. This is just... uGH like I don’t really hate it, it’s just that I wrote it just to get started with the whole fic and then I never went back to change it and it just feels kind of awkward.

Best/worst last line?

Best: The stories of the creature so twisted and the soul so kind. - From Twisted souls. I just really like this one, unclear why really. But I really enjoyed the last two paragraphs of this fic.

Worst: “Thank you for being my bodyguard.” - From Twist and turn, moonchild. Because... what? why and uGh no. I struggled with wrapping this fic up because I wanted to keep it short and I guess I just pulled smth out of my a ss to just end it.

Best/worst summary?

Best: This is the story about a creature so twisted by evil, who found their way home. - From Twisted souls. I really liked this one. Because it sort of gave some of the plot away, as a summary probably should do, but also kept to the more poetic vibe I went with for this fic.

I also really like: The sun rose, painting the sky a beautiful pink as it bathed the landscape in its warm light. In the comfort of his home, their home, Woojin awoke slowly, surrounded by nothing but love and warmth. - From Take my hand and never let go. Simply because this is one of few summaries that I actually wrote specifically to be summaries.

Worst: Vampire!Chan & Witch!Felix in a very domestic setting. - From Hocus pocus. I don’t really have a summary that I really dislike so I’ll just put this one here simply because it just stares the content and it’s pretty boring.

Favorite 5 lines from anywhere?

1. “You know what would be even better?” Felix asked and Chan hummed, lips still pressing against Felix’s skin and his hand came to rest on Felix’s thigh. “If you married me this winter.” - From For as long as I am breathing.

2. “I’ll chase the fear and the pain away, love,” he promised as Hyunjin let out a choked sob. - From I’ll hold you as you bleed.

3. “You’re no longer wilting away,” Felix’s whispered, stroking the back of his hand over Chan’s cheek. - From Twisted souls.

4. “And then they lived happily ever after,” he said, pressing his lips against Felix’s. - From Storm and stars.

General questions:

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?

Considering that I wrote 700 words last year, so for me to write over 200k... that was very unexpected.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted last year?

Stray kids because 1. I didn’t stan them last year and 2. I barely wrote anything last year.

What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.

I don’t... I don’t really know. All my three longfics are special to me but I think For as long as I am breathing or Twisted Souls takes the prize as my favorite... I think I’m gonna have to say For as long as I am breathing.

Okay, NOW your most popular story.

The most popular must have been Storm and Stars, but its also the oldest of my multichaptered fics. 31 days of kisses and For as long as I am breathing are both closing in on Storm and stars when it comes to the amount of hits.

Story most underappreciated by the universe?

TWISTED SOULS. But also like, its just recently been completed (and I know some people dont read unfinished fics), its a pretty underrated ship (so I guess not a lot read fics about them) and the tags + the word count might be a bit intimidating.

Story that could have been better?

[Redacted] could definitely have been better. I didn’t manage to get a full grasp of how I wanted the plot until it was maybe a bit too late and it ended up super rushed.

Saddest story?

Twisted souls probably. It deals with some pretty heavy things and yeah, it’s the saddest thing I’ve written this year.

Most fun?

hM.... Most of my fics are pretty serious or just straight out fluff and not really funny in that way. But... maybe Hocus pocus ? Unsure but that’s the funniest of my fics lmao.

Story with single sweetest moment?

For as long as I am breathing has a bunch of insanely sweet moments and I just love that au.

Hardest story to write?

Twisted souls but that’s mainly because of the fight scenes. I’m pretty bad at action so that was a challenge.

Easiest/most fun story to write?

For as long as I am breathing... That was insane. The words just came to me like poOF and it was so easy to write for me... why is very very unclear.

Did any stories shift your perceptions of the characters?

I don’t... think it did no. Not what I can come to think of.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

I tried writing action, but that’s more of a challenge than a risk I guess. I don’t think I took any risks per say but I challenged myself a little with action. I’ve also tried to work on my descriptions, both nature and clothing. Not a risk, but a challenge.

What are your fic writing goals for next year?

Wips I really want to finish: - Sequel to For as long as I am breathing - “Suffer suffer scream in pain” aka a gore piece I’m working on - A new merboy fic

General goals - Get better at descriptions - Work on writing action scenes - Be a bit better at editing - Write around 300k - Start working on my own original piece

That was everything... I think! 2018 has been an amazing year for me, writing wise, but I’m a bit sad I didn’t get back to it earlier. However, the response I’ve gotten this year has been amazing  and I don’t have enough works to express my gratitude.
