Complying efficiently with OSHA lighting standards for safety
Tumblr media
OSHA has established lighting standards for workplaces to ensure adequate lighting is provided for workers to perform their tasks safely and accurately, including LED lights for forklifts. Proper lighting prevents accidents, reduces eye strain, and improves worker productivity. This article will elaborate on a few crucial things to know about OSHA lighting standards for safety in facilities.
OSHA Lighting Safety Requirement
1. General Illumination Requirements
OSHA requires that workplaces be adequately illuminated to ensure that workers can perform their tasks safely and accurately. General illumination must be provided with at least 10-foot candles (FC) for most general areas, with specific exceptions for certain areas such as emergency exit signs and stairways. Foot candles measure the amount of light falling on a surface and can be measured with a light meter.
2. Task Lighting Requirements
In addition to general illumination, OSHA requires task lighting to be provided for areas where workers perform specific tasks that require extra illumination. Task lighting must provide at least 30 fc of illustration and must be directed to minimize glare and shadows. Lamps, overhead fixtures, or portable lights may provide task lighting.
3. Emergency Lighting Requirements
OSHA requires emergency lighting to be provided in case of a power failure or other emergencies. Emergency lighting must provide at least one illumination for at least 90 minutes and must be located in areas where workers may need to navigate to safety in an emergency.
4. Lighting Maintenance Requirements
OSHA requires that lighting fixtures be maintained to ensure that they provide adequate illumination. Burned-out bulbs and other defects must be repaired promptly, and fixtures must be cleaned regularly to remove dirt and dust that can reduce illumination levels.
5. Lighting Design Requirements
OSHA recommends that lighting be designed to minimise glare, shadows, and reflections that can cause eyestrain and visual fatigue. Lighting should be distributed evenly throughout the workplace to prevent dark spots and provide uniform illumination. Lighting should also be shielded to avoid direct exposure to the eyes.
Improve workplace safety and productivity with efficient OSHA-compliant safety lighting. Don’t compromise with safety standards!

Why Should Your Company Follow OSHA Lighting Requirements?
Several areas can be hazardous to a worker in a work environment, which has specially made LED lights for forklifts important. Lighting becomes a risk factor, especially when the labour is mostly manual and physical. Thus, protection is key, and OSHA lighting requirements are a fundamental protective measure. Some of the important reasons why your company should follow OSHA requirements are:
a) Workplace Safety:
The primary purpose of OSHA lighting standards is to promote workplace safety by ensuring that workplaces are adequately illuminated to prevent accidents and injuries. Proper lighting can help workers to identify and avoid hazards, such as obstacles, spills, and equipment malfunctions.
b) Compliance with Regulations:
Compliance with OSHA lighting standards is mandatory for most workplaces, and failure to comply can result in citations, penalties, and legal liabilities. Employers who comply with OSHA lighting standards can avoid these risks and ensure their workplaces are safe and compliant with regulations.
c) Employee Comfort and Well-being:
Adequate lighting is essential for employee comfort and well-being. Poor lighting can cause eyestrain, headaches, and visual fatigue, decreasing worker productivity and increasing the risk of accidents. Compliance with OSHA lighting standards can promote worker comfort and well-being, increasing job satisfaction and reducing turnover.
d) Improved Productivity:
Proper lighting can improve worker productivity by allowing workers to perform their tasks more accurately and efficiently. Adequate lighting can reduce errors and mistakes, saving time and reducing the need for rework.
e) Cost Savings:
Compliance with OSHA lighting standards can result in cost savings for employers. Adequate lighting can reduce the risk of accidents and injuries, resulting in lower workers' compensation costs and reduced liability insurance premiums. Proper lighting can also reduce energy costs by using more efficient lighting systems.
‍ How Do OSHA Lighting Standards of Safety Protect Workers?
OSHA lighting standards for safety protect workers by ensuring that workplaces are adequately illuminated to prevent accidents and injuries. Here are some of how OSHA lighting standards protect workers:
i) Identification of Hazards:
Adequate workplace lighting helps workers identify and avoid hazards such as obstacles, spills, and equipment malfunctions. Proper lighting can also help workers to identify and respond to emergencies quickly and safely.
ii) Prevention of Accidents and Injuries:
Insufficient lighting can increase the risk of accidents and injuries by making it difficult for workers to see and navigate their surroundings. OSHA lighting standards ensure that workplaces are adequately illuminated to prevent accidents and injuries.
iii) Reduction of Eyestrain and Fatigue:
‍Insufficient lighting can cause eyestrain, headaches, and visual fatigue, which can decrease worker productivity and increase the risk of accidents, especially in the absence of forklift safety lights. OSHA lighting standards ensure that workplaces are adequately illuminated to reduce these risks and promote worker comfort and well-being.
iv) Compliance with Regulations:
‍Compliance with OSHA lighting standards is mandatory for most workplaces, and failure to comply can result in citations, penalties, and legal liabilities. Employers who comply with OSHA lighting standards can avoid these risks and ensure their workplaces are safe and compliant with regulations.
In conclusion, proper lighting is essential for workplace safety and productivity. OSHA has established lighting standards to ensure that workplaces provide adequate lighting for workers to perform their tasks safely and accurately. Employers should ensure that their facilities comply with OSHA lighting standards to protect workers and avoid potential OSHA citations and penalties.
How Can Your Company Comply With OSHA Lighting Guidelines With SharpEagle?
Managing and following the OSHA lighting guidelines can be tough and not very profitable, which is one of the major reasons why companies fail to do so. According to reports by ILO, a specialized agency of the UN, low light can cause eye strain and headaches, which reduces productivity and creates more scenarios where someone can get hurt.
SharpEagle understands the gravity and the need for the OSHA lighting guidelines and thus has been successful in creating products that help your company comply with these guidelines. Linear lights, LED lights, work lights, forklift safety lights, and HID lights are our best products that help companies create a safe work environment.

Do You Feel That?
Idea. So imagine the bats are going to Amity (or a place nearby) to investigate something. A building that had very strange readings, maybe even investigating a case. Probbaly starting in a forest. So this place is haunted naturally, and the ghosts can’t be perceived by the human eye. In this universe, Danny can technically become visible in his ghost form if he concentrates, along with many powerful ghosts, but their default is intangibility and invisibility and it’s just inefficient to use a that much power just to be seen. So most things that happen in Amity are not seen by normal people. Those infected by ectoplasm (the pits and ectoplasm being two separate things in this) are able to see ghosts after enough exposure. So if a hero were to come to Amity, they would see the destruction happening but it would look like some kind of invisible force, and then if they ask why others aren’t panicking, they just say Phantom is taking care of it.
Anyways, so the bats do not know about ghosts and are investigating this house and basically every kind of malevolent spirit you can think of is there and trying to mess with them. After all, even if they can’t see a ghost, that ghost can still affect them. And Phantom sees these idiots getting closer to one of the designated danger zones in his territory. (Or he was visiting a nearby haunted area due to the rising danger level and sees the bats right in the middle of it) The place all natives know to avoid at all costs. So the bats go anyways, completly oblivious to the danger. Danny arrives just in time to stop a ghost who was inches away from digging their claws into Red Robin.
And it goes on with Danny desperately keeping the ghosts back, tackling them, shooting them, growling and hissing and doing everything in his power to shield the oblivious heroes and keep them safe. He can’t even warn them because he’s spending too much power just keeping them alive in the woods. Because of course they decide to investigate the most haunted woods near Amity. Most of these spirits are old, angry, and wild.
And the bats are just casually going about their buisness, discussing the case and the evidence they found.
Danny tackles a ghost wolf to keep them from biting their fangs into Red Hood’s neck.
They follow some tracks.
Danny grabbing the shadowing tendrils attempting to strangle Nightwing.
They even joke around and push each other.
Someone temporarily possessed Red Robin and he starts reaching for a batarang with bloodlust in his eyes, before Danny digs his hands into the bat’s chest and rips out the foreign entity.
There is screaming, snarling, screeches, and lots of punches thrown, all unheard by the bats.
By the end, Danny is panting as they finally made it out of the forest. The bats are tracking a signal, and heading towards an abandoned house. Danny looks up and sees the place absolutly overflowing with spirits. They are crawling up the sides, eyes and teeth and tentacles moving through the wooden boards. Banshees and wraiths, eyeing them through the windows. Skinny limbs with barely any form creaking as their claws try to escape the house and reach towards the group below. Hundreds upon hundreds of spirits all confined to this small hut and ready to tear apart any who enter.
Danny takes one look at them, overhears the bats say that they have to head inside, and decide that he’s not dealing with this today. So he shoots a small laser to cut their power. No signal? No lights? No search.
He can hear the bats complaining but eventually, they have to turn back as they lost the signal and they are unable to continue. And hears them talk about how the place was so weird. Almost like something was watching them.
Phantom sags in relief once they are finally gone.
While they leave, Danny squares his shoulders because he needs to deal with all these ghosts before they get back.
Later, after not finding anything strange about the house or forest or the cause of their case (possibly a death? Or maybe just trying to find information connecting to something else?) and all the previous evidence and traces were gone. So they call in the magic users to use a spell to show the past and figure out what happened. And they can see the group in a sort of 3D holographic image as they investigated. But the spell doesn’t just show them, it shows every being from that time….so the group gets to see just exactly how close they all came to dying.

Ghost Letting You Watch Him Masturbate
Tumblr media
Warnings: 18+, Smut, Desperate! Ghost, Touch-Starved! Ghost, Dominant! Ghost, Edging, Assisted Masturbation, Guided Masturbation, The Mask Stays On, No Pronouns Used For Reader Except ‘You’.
He loves the way you watch him so intently as his hand works the shaft of his aching cock, the tip red and angry as he staves off his orgasm just to let you watch for a little bit longer. You come closer, on hands and knees, and sit before him, just shy of the area between his legs. The danger zone.
The sound of squelching is obscene, as is the sight of his dick glistening with pre. If he pulled his hand away, strings of it would cling to his palm, beckoning – begging – him to return.
He can hardly refuse you when you ask him if you can touch it. Touch him.
He nods, pulls his hand away enough so that you can slip yours beneath his. His hand is sticky as it clamps down around yours. He guides you, starting out with light strokes, mindful of the euphoria building just below his stomach again. Raw. Fresh.
When you’re more confident in this rhythm, you grip him a little tighter. Look up into Ghost’s half-lidded eyes. He nods, but can’t find the energy to lift his head back up. He’s looking down at you, his mask concealing all but the lethargic lust in his eyes. And when you start to move faster, he thinks he can feel Heaven. His slick hand is tight – nigh crushing – over yours, making you squeeze him tighter, harder. God, harder.
And when your fingers graze the sensitive skin of his tip, his head almost rolls back, his eyes screwing shut. He gasps, and his breath shutters
He knows that this won’t be like all the other times when it was just him all alone in his room, or the barracks, or the showers. He can feel it in the rapid tightening of his balls, one hanging lower than the other, in the knotting in his stomach. He feels his vein twitch – the one you’d been so curiously eyeing earlier – when you gaze up at him from beneath your lashes, eyes soft. You come closer. Sat between his legs now. He’s oozing from the tip; an effect only you can have. He’d have been embarrassed were he not in the crosshairs of what he could tell would be one of the most excruciating orgasms he’s ever had.
He’s panting now, watching you as, with soft fingers, you work the tip, spreading his juices across it, down his shaft. When you come back up, clenching your fingers around his tip, he hisses. Jolts. When you try to retract, concern evident in the furrow of your brow, he snatches your hand back, gripping your wrist and enclosing your hand around him once more.
“Keep goin’,' he pants. His eyes glisten beneath the fluorescence of the dim bulb above you.
“Please.”
And you do. You squeeze and squelch and slide your hand along the length of him until your arm aches and his back is arching out of his chair, head lolling back as thick globs of cum spurt out from the tip. No warning. Just the explosion and its aftermath.
His grip around your hand tightens. You wince, but he doesn’t notice. He’s growling, guttural and animal, teeth gritted beneath his mask. He can feel his eyes strain with how far back into his skull they’ve rolled.
His stomach gradually becomes soaked in a viscous, milky spray. You’re sure you can see his shaft pulsating with every pump of his semen – like water through a pipe – emptying himself. Some of it gets caught in the hairs leading down from his belly button, thicker as they reach the pubic area.
His chest heaves. His hand is still around yours, looser now. But not by much. Keeping you there.
He musters the strength to look down at you again. Your eyes follow the beads of cum weeping from his tip as they cover his hand, staining the expanse of his scarred skin. He lets you go. Watches you watch the glossy beads of his release meet your hand. Warm and wet.
He’ll teach you how to take him with your mouth next time; teach you to work your tongue just how he likes it. He’ll watch you swallow all of him. He’ll forge the satisfaction of knowing that his cum will be swimming inside your stomach.
His. From the inside.
Heavy breathing; a hand tilting your chin up so your eyes meet his; a slim, crooked smile beneath his mask. He promises.

You feel so fucking stupid. Not because you did something wrong or made a fool of yourself (yet), but because this dumb problem you had was so childish. Even a 10-year-old is braver than you, a literal fucking Hunter!
You pout at the nightlight on your laptop. Sylus’s black card sat on your coffee table, just waiting to be used. And yet, the thought of using a card with access to millions of dollars (perhaps billions), just to buy a nightlight, halted you in your tracks, He hadn’t even said much about anything else you’ve bought before, and what he did say usually encouraged you to buy more expensive, lavish things. Surely, he wouldn’t flinch at this at all.
But that stupid, unrelenting voice in your head made buying the light impossible.
Which sucked.
It really, really sucked.
‘Cuz every time you stay in the N109 Zone in Sylus’s manor-slash-base, your room is so dark. Being in the lawless area doesn’t help, either. All the violence and danger you’d seen walking in the streets at night painted visions of stalkers in the corner, murderers with knives under your bed, and worse, just waiting for you to close your eyes and sleep.
But you don’t want to impose on the nice atmosphere Sylus has cultivated in his home. So you sleep with the light off, clinging to your blankets and telling yourself over and over again that nobody else is in the room.
Your phone buzzing interrupts your pity party. You shut your laptop and place it on the table next to the card. It buzzes again as you pick it up.
What’s wrong, sweetie?
I’ve only seen you make that face when a plushie falls out of the claw
You look up at your window. Sure enough, Mephisto’s red eyes greet you.
Stop spying on me >:(
Fine
The mechanical crow disappears from sight. You can just barely hear his caws as he flies off back to the N109 Zone.
But my question still stands
It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it
Sweetie, if someone says not to worry about something, people are going to worry about it
Damn him for giving you a chance to tell the truth. And damn your brain for reminding you that if you tell him the truth, he’d probably laugh at you. What does he have to worry about when he sleeps anyway? He’s already a light sleeper, but he also sleeps during the day, when creeps skitter from shadow to shadow. He wouldn’t understand.
Like I said, it’s nothing
Nothing happens for a few moments. The little dots to signify he’s typing don’t even show up. You can’t help wondering what he’s doing. What he’s thinking.
Maybe he’s getting ready to start the night, getting into his car so Luke and Kieran can drive him around to his many business dealings. Or maybe he’s picking out a vinyl from his shelf, taking it from the paper casing with a delicacy only shared with you, and setting it up on his phonograph. Or maybe he’s mimicking you: sitting on the couch, staring at the phone, wondering what to say next.
The dots appear, finally.
Come to the N109 Zone, kitten
Let me cheer you up
If Mephisto was still lurking around, he’d have seen just how fast you packed your things and hopped onto your bike.
Yes, the N109 Zone is dark and scary and extremely dangerous at the best of times. Yes, you’d be forced to sleep in the dark once again. Yes, your mind would play tricks on you and you’d probably stay up all night anyway.
But Sylus is there. And you haven’t seen him for almost a week. Who could blame you for jumping at the opportunity to spend time with him now?
-
Sylus greets you at the door with an amused smirk. “You got here fast.”
You playfully glare at him, smacking his chest as you pass by. “There wasn’t any traffic,” you tease.
The manor is as dark as usual. If it’s not black, it’s dark red. If it’s not dark red, it’s the occasional white furniture or golden accent.
Sylus trails behind you as you beeline it straight to your room to drop off your stuff. He leans in the doorway as you toss your bag onto the plush bed. “You seem to be in a better mood now,” he hums.
“I always feel better when I get to see you.” You smile up at him. It’s a soft remark. Genuine. Not the usual joking, back-and-forth banter you’re usually all too happy to supply during your visits.
His expression melts into something just as tender. Just as honest. He casually pushes himself off the doorframe and crosses the few steps it takes to get to you. His hands cradle you like one of his precious antiques, tilting your face up while he cranes his neck until the world has shrunk to just this moment.
He grins. His eyes keep glancing down at your mouth. You grab onto his waist. Your fingers curl into his soft red sweater, desperate to keep him this close. His lips brush against yours, stealing the air from your lungs.
“Then let me make it worth your while.”
-
It’s still dark when you wake up. The navy blue behind the curtain carries no hint of light, reassuring your sleep-addled brain that there is still plenty of time before day.
You roll over, silk sheets caressing your bare form, fully intending to go right back to sleep. Cold air slips underneath the blanket. You shiver and pull it tighter around you. Without thinking, you reach out toward the other side of the bed. It’s too large for just one person. The bed is cold beneath your fingers, even as you reach out farther.
You blink open your eyes, blearily staring into the darkness, searching for some answer you can quite grasp yet.
What are you reaching for…?
You turn your face into your pillow, determined to ignore that strange feeling in your gut and enjoy the last hours of the night. The rich scent of bourbon and vanilla catch on the edge of your senses. It smells just like Sylus…
You open your eyes again. Where’s Sylus?
Your fingertips brush the edge of the bed as you reach out. A discordant chord of terror strikes in your heart as you quickly pull your hand back. Thoughts of something reaching out to grab you flood your mind. Your heart races, chasing off the last ounces of sleepiness from your body.
You pull the blanket even tighter around you, curling it under your feet and tucking it into your sides until you’re in a cocoon of safety. No matter how hard you strain your eyes, you can’t see anything. But in your mind, everything can see you.
You curl up into a pitiful ball.
You could get up, but you can’t. What if something grabs your ankles?
You could grab your phone, but you can’t. What if something is waiting in ambush and your phone is the bait?
You could do a thousand things to get out of this darkness. But you can’t, for a million reasons.
The door knob slowly turns. The only indication the door has opened at all is the sound of the lower edge brushing against the carpeted floor. No light comes in from the hall. It’s all pitch black. The door clicks shut.
You hold your breath.
Footsteps. Large, heavy footsteps. They don’t stomp. You’re not sure if it would be better if they did. They creep around the side of the bed.
You don’t move.
Weight shifts the mattress. Slowly. Deliberately.
Your heartbeat pounds in your ears. You strain to hear anything else.
Something slides over your blankets.
You squeeze your eyes shut so tight you see spots. You bite your lip to avoid making sound.
The something - a hand, you think - wraps around your waist.
You flinch.
Oh god, oh god, oh god. They’re gonna know you’re awake. They’re gonna cover your mouth or stab you or put a pillow over your face or-
“Kitten?”
Your body shudders as you finally let yourself breathe. You grab your pillow as you quickly sit up and swing it at the face of your lover.
“I thought you were gonna fucking kill me?!”
Sylus laughs, chucking the pillow back onto your side of the bed. You can’t see him in the dark, but your body can’t stop taking in every ounce of him that it can. His smell - the bourbon and vanilla tinged with a natural musk. His voice - that rich, lively sound of his laugh and the breaths he takes. His touch - his hand, trailing patterns over the blanket at your hip.
You crawl toward him, clinging to his chest like a koala. He’s still shirtless from your escapades. His hand slides to your back, pulling you in tighter to him. You can feel the rumble of his voice in his chest. You press your ear against him to hear more.
“Why would you think that?” he asks once he’s gathered himself.
You don’t answer. You squeeze him tighter.
“Sweetie?” The amusement is replaced with concern. His other arm wraps around you. The muscles tense with the slightest effort. He says your name.
Relief settles heavy in your bones. Tears prick at your eyes, while you remain utterly powerless to stop them. “It’s too dark,” you whimper. It’s all you can think to say.
His arms tighten around you as he rolls onto his back, pulling you on top of him like you weigh nothing. He begins playing with your hair. “Does it scare you?” he asks softly.
You nod. You pull one of your hands out from around him to wipe the tears off your face and his chest.
God, you feel so fucking pathetic.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
You don’t answer. His chest rises and falls with you on it, moving with his sigh. He pulls your hand away from your face and replaces it around him. You want to fight it. Complain about how gross it is to get all your tears on him. But he shushes you gently and you can’t find the strength to try.
“Do you want to go downstairs?”
You nod again.
The world shifts as he sits up with you. He pries you off of him so he can stand up, but he doesn’t go far. He grabs his sweater off the ground and helps you put it on. Then he goes through your dresser for some clean underwear. He helps you stand and slides them on. You don’t open your eyes. You don’t want to see the darkness. So you hold onto his shoulders. You put all your trust into him, and he refuses to betray it.
He lifts you into his arms like you’re a damn princess. Usually, he’d throw you over his shoulder, but not this time. This time he’s careful, treating you with the utmost care as he carries you down the stairs and to the living room. With a wave of his fingers, the lights turn on, black and red left in its wake.
“It’s not dark anymore,” he promises as he sits down. You keep your face safely tucked into his neck. He rests his cheek on your head. His fingers go back to your hair. His other hand rubs patterns against your bare thigh.
After a while, your terror finally dissipates completely. You can see the light shining through your closed eyelids. Feel its subtle warmth against your skin. When you find the strength to open your eyes, the warm, comfortable ambiance of Sylus’s home greets you once more.
You use the sleeve of his sweater to wipe at your face. “I’m sorry.” Your voice cracks. You cringe with embarrassment. “It’s stupid, I know.”
He hums noncommittally. “Is this what you were telling me not to worry about?” he asks instead.
You nod. “I was looking at… at nightlights,” you admit in a murmur.
“What kind?”
“Hm?” You pull back to look up at him. He lets you, meeting your gaze with a soft seriousness. “What d’you mean?”
He smirks slightly, eyebrow quirking upward. “I mean, what kind of nightlight would you like, sweetie? Fairy lights, a wall light, one of those animal-shaped ones that glows…”
You frown and look away. “You’re teasing me, aren’t you?”
“I’m asking,” he cups your cheek and guides your face to look at him, “so I can buy you one. Now, will you tell me, or do I have to buy every single nightlight on the market?”
You laugh despite yourself. “I have it pulled up on my laptop…”
He grins. “Good.” He pulls you into a chaste kiss. “Don’t hesitate to buy it next time. Or to tell me what’s wrong. If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s a sad kitten.”

Gunpowder and Green Shells
Chapter 1
1781
Curtains of light cerulean danced underneath the dark waves. Moonlight pierced through the waves in small increments while a prominent trail of red followed the body descending the depths. Bubbles outlined the body as the ocean began to accept it, the surface becoming a faint memory.
The part of the ocean you had called home was littered with shipwrecks and discarded items that those above kept losing. Your residence was in between two warring islands, a very poor choice for a place to live. But the ocean floor you had chosen as your territory had not been a battle zone between the two islands when you claimed your place among the wreckage. Why leave an area so abundant with shiny objects and food? In the past you attempted to leave for the open ocean, but was almost eaten by a larger creature.
So you were content with your choice.
Somewhat.
It was quite lonely for you, but you always blamed where you lived. Still, no other creature resembles your half fish-half woman body. It presented many complications, namely the inability to communicate with the sealife.
But a very odd smell wafted through your gills while they filtered the water in and out of your system. Blood. Curiosity and animalistic desire snapped you out of your monotonous routine.
Your powerful tail propelled your body with a sideways motion, following the smell of human blood out of the dark depths of your home. Your body halted at the silhouette of a man drifting in the salty water above you. He seemed lifeless as blood streamed from his eye in a disturbing dance.
Another victim of war perhaps?
You swam above him, turning to get a better look of his features. The unharmed eye of his was closed, undoubtedly weighted by the water surrounding him. Body hovering over his own, enthralled in seeing a human man for the first time, you surrendered to the stillness of the ocean. Your eyes danced around his body, since this was your first time seeing a human up close, you were naturally curious. Not feeling your body move, you felt your webbed hand becoming drawn to his face. What does human skin feel like? You pondered.
Your thoughts were interrupted when a sharp kick to the jaw made your body thrash from his body. The man, who turned out to be very much alive, was fighting against the cold water. Testing the damage, you moved your bruised jaw around as he tried to swim away from you. The man hardly covered any distance and you watched as his movements started to dull.
Oh.
Oh!
Remembering that humans live above water, they must need air! Your tail thrashed against the water, propelling you past him. The man’s body fought against your grip as you swam as fast as you could to the surface. Despite his flailing, you sensed his life diminishing as he’d been without air for a dangerous amount of time.
After a final thrash of your tail, you had breached the surface. Rain splattered against your skin and your gills closed at the contact of air. Your grip under the man’s arms tightened and you hoisted his body so his face had emerged from the water. His unharmed eye was intense, staring into your own. You had no idea if his lungs was registering air, but his gaze weakening confirmed that something was wrong.
Quickly, you recalled a few sea stacks near the coast of Zaun which a sea cave resided in. The time that it took for you to race there must have been record-breaking, but that wasn’t what you were concerned about. What concerned you was the man’s skin now starting to pale.
His body was difficult to push onto the shore of the cave, his clothes catching the sand of the cave. But with one final push, his body was completely out of the water. Now it was time for you to figure out how to tend to him without drying out. The position your body found itself in was also awkward, your tail looped and winded into the water while your stomach was laid flat against the sand. You’d never been on land before, and the consequences were unknown. But finally you had something to break you out of your normal routine, and you’d be damned if you had to return to eating crabs in the depths.
Time was being lost, so you crawled with your front arms to reach his body. Suddenly, once your tail lost contact with the foamy water, you felt the air dry your tail. It was a strange feeling, as you watched the grey scales of your tail recede into what now look like human legs. Shaking your head, you reminded yourself not to get distracted.
You never walked on human legs before so you crawled to meet his face, which still proved to feel very unnatural. Your ear met his chest, just above where his heart should be.
Quiet.
He was dead.
Your fascination with humankind cost this man’s life. If only you weren’t so easily distracted. “Why am I like this?” You whispered to yourself as you watched his skin dull in pigment, the life finally leaving his body. A stinging sensation made your eyes burn, wiping them you found that they were wet. You had heard of tears before but assumed that only humans could produce such a strange liquid. The strange feeling continued until tears streamed down your cheeks, light twinkling in them. You watched as some fell onto the man’s face, but were perplexed when they suddenly absorbed into his pale skin.
When a few more tears fell onto his cheek, your hand reached out to smear the wet against his skin. It was the sudden movement of his chest that startled you. His eye was still closed when water forced its way out of his mouth as he began to violently cough. Spooked, you quickly found shelter in the water, your tail returning and making contact with the water.
Your head barely broke the water as you watched the man from the shore. He was still retching the salt water onto the beach, his body’s desperate attempt to empty out his lungs. Interest captivated you as your eyes followed his hand, slicking back his soaked black hair. It was mid length and had bits of seaweed tangled within it. The man’s hand hovering over his injured eye made you notice that the fresh wound had completely disappeared. Granted, there were still large slashes passing through his eye, but they looked healed.
Your mind had drifted off again, this time to the peculiarity of his injury miraculously healing, to notice that the man had spotted you.
The glint of a dagger shined in your eyes. You were still a bit off shore, just enough to allow your top half to be pressed against the sand, your back beneath the water, only leaving your face visible.
The man’s intense gaze returned as he clutched the dagger, pointing it intently at you. The slit pupils of your eyes studied his face. He was a beautiful example of his species. He had a pointed chin, and sharp cheekbones framing his thin face. It wasn’t the way his lips curled into a scowl, or the way his wet locks stuck to his face, that intrigued you the most.
No.
It was his eyes. They were stunning. You were sure you’d seen the color of his unharmed eye before in the ocean but couldn’t quite place it.
The words blurted through your sharp triangle-shaped teeth. “Seashell.”
Dagger lowering slightly, the man was caught off guard. “I beg your pardon?” An eyebrow raised as your head emerged slightly from the water.
Excitement washed over you. “I just now remembered where I’ve seen your eye color before!” You say proudly. The man didn’t look at all impressed, more like he was bored. Your eyes locked as you slowly descended back into the water. “Stay. Right. There.”
With a flick of your tail, you turned around and rushed out of the shore. You were quick to scour the reefs that lined the shore. They weren’t as active and diverse as the ones near Piltover, but you knew they had what you were looking for. A shell, that was blue-green in color, caught your eye. “Gotcha!” Your words were muffled as you were well under water.
To your surprise, the man was still there. This time, though, he had torn a piece of fabric from his shirt to cover his eye in a make-shift eye patch.
The seafoam green shell clicked against the back of the man’s head, startling him. “Sorry!” You apologized from the safety in the water. Apparently throwing was not a skill of yours.
His eye scrutinized the seashell that he caught in his palms. You watched him from the safety of the cave’s mouth as his lips parted. Before he could say anything, a large gurgle coming from his stomach interrupted him. Your lips curled in a smile, knowing exactly how to help. Though the man didn’t seem to appreciate the toothy smile, he stayed put when all he could see was your tail smacking against the surface.
Since the organisms on the menu for you were usually crustaceans and seaweed, you did know how to kill a fish or two. So when you found a fish, catching it within your jaws was like second nature.
Your body curled sideways, following the movement from your large tail as you made your way back to the sea cave.
“Food.” Your words were barely comprehensible as your voice was muffled by the fish in your mouth.
This time, the man was occupied with building a pile of driftwood. It was clear that he didn’t know how to label you. For all he knew, you could've just been a strange woman who saved him just to rob him. His eye was heavy with exhaustion as it watched tentatively while he made his way to where you were.
Your bottom half was still submerged under water, while your chest was barely covered by the foamy surface. This fish laid limp in your jaws as you watched him slowly approach.
His thin lips parted as he made to reach for the fish. “Who are-” You raised your body off the sand, to make it easier to reach but in doing so your top half was now completely exposed.”Naked!” The man hopped backwards, startled. Not knowing where to look, his eye darted all over the cave, so he could look anywhere but your body.
Your lips formed a frown. “Naked?” You looked down to your chest. Yes, you did indeed possess human breasts but human males can be seen without wearing any kind of clothing on their chests on ships, why was this any different? Shaking your head, you laughed. “You’re mistaken. For one to be naked they have to have the need to wear clothes.” Water trickled from your tail as you lifted it out of the water. “I don’t wear such.”
Stumbling backwards, the man fell onto his arse as he snarled. “Stay away from me!” His movements were sharp and quick as he tried to put as much distance between him and you as possible.
The fish dropped from your jaws as he started to kick sand at your body as a threat. Startling from the intimidation, you swerved backwards into the water. You knew humans were…delicate with their emotions as well as how they perceived unusual events.
Though this did rub you the wrong way, making you feel a little hurt due to the sand now stinging your skin. But you knew one thing about humans…
They loved to eat.

Silco’s POV:
Body aching, Silco finally amassed enough wood for a proper fire to ensure he doesn't freeze to death tonight. His good eye kept glancing over at the mouth of the sea cave where the creature was once laying.
His teeth gritted. ‘What the hell was happening?’ Today had happened too fast. His lungs still clogged with ash from one of Piltover’s warships. Skin burned in patches around his body where the cannon balls struck the ship, causing the wood to splinter into any skin that wasn’t covered by fabric.
Vander.
Silco felt his throat tighten at the memory. Arms grabbed my throat, holding my body in the air.
His jagged teeth gritted as he recounted how his friend, comrade and…brother, discarded him in the sea like old ale.
Skin splitting under his dagger, stabbing through his eye before flinging his wounded body into the sea.
A yawn escaped Silco’s dry mouth as he tried to fight the feeling of sleepiness taking over. He knew he had to stay strong, to not fall asleep. There are monsters in these waters, after all. But the fire he had just lit and was now huddled near was all too enticing…
Sun penetrated through his eyelid while an odd smell crept its way to his nose. Silco woke up to see the sunrise making the large stack of fish next to him glow.
And he could of sworn that he saw that creature again, diving back into the sea.

Who Says Money Can't Buy Happiness? (Part 6)
Sylus x right hand man!reader
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 7 | ao3
Tumblr media
Summary: You can't have just one peaceful day, huh? Something had to go wrong after a good morning.
After a week or so of doing what Dr. Zayne had prescribed of you, you woke up more refreshed now, which is a good thing. Before you had left his office, you’d taken a hold of his number so that he could monitor your pulse. You confessed to him that it wasn’t necessarily your heart, but the pulse points at your wrists, which is probably the reason why he chose to keep in touch in the first place. Well, either that, or that he knew that you were close with MC, so if she ever contacted you first, you could tell him how she was doing.
So, he added that before sleeping, it would be a good idea to calm yourself down with a good book, and drink some camomile tea to soothe your nerves. It had you sleeping like a baby, and when you woke up, you felt better than you did yesterday.
You picked up your phone in order to update the doctor.
you
thanks for the recommendation of the tea, dr
feel much better now lol
It didn’t take long for him to reply back.

MC’s boyfriend probs
???
You glanced outside, the red moon of the forever night brighter than usual. Today felt like a good day to take a walk along the N109 Zone’s border. It was a good in-between of the unusual home you had at the gleaming mornings of your day job. Plus, what’s a little exercise before going to work—
Wait. It was your day-off today.
You let out joyous laughter, laying back down as you stared at the small chandelier just above your bed. Could this day get any better?
—--
You raised your arms high into the air, a sigh of satisfaction coming out from your lips. It had been a while since you decided to take a walk along the border, and honestly, it’s been a while too long.
You started off your pace slow, small steps as breathed in the fresh air blowing from Linkon City. You couldn’t help yourself when a little giggle left you, feeling your heart float. You weren’t quite sure where this sudden burst of giddiness came from, but you welcomed it all the same; when working for the most infamous leader, moments like this are hard to come by.
With this rare instance of peace and tranquility, you could tell that your heart began to beat slower than normal, understanding that you were relaxed for the first time in a couple months or so. The feeling of actually having the chance to rest was too liberating to give up, so you forced yourself not to think about Sylus, or MC, or Aries, or anything that could possibly give you stress or anxiety.
The soft wind ran through your hair, making it sway towards the N109 Zone’s side of the border. You couldn’t care less, though; not with the morning light kissing your cheeks.
Of course, however, given your misfortune, you felt a wave of metaflux surge around you, making you groan. You hadn’t even brought your best day-to-day weapon today! All you had strapped to you (since it was strapped to you at all times) was the simple gun that the Association provided you, a little more than half the ammo right beside it, and a small dagger knife Sylus had gifted you a long time ago.
You let out a groan of annoyance the moment your wrist beeped a warning. You didn’t know how you managed to convince your boss, but you barely wore your Hunter’s Watch; your ‘intuition’ (analyzation of surroundings and calculating possible routes of danger) being accurate enough for Jenna to trust you to not wear it.
A tick of your jaw clicked in your ear, mimicking the sound of your gun cocking. Your eyes sharpened, darting around everywhere to scan the area for Wanderers. They were near, and attracted to the scent of a human after possible days of not being fed. Or perhaps they were hungry for something else.
The bushes behind you ruffled, causing you to whip your head and aim barely beside the shrub before shooting, just in time as the Wanderer’s failed retreat. It hissed in pain at the bullets, but locked its glare at you, making you purse your lips. It was a Herte Knave, and this specific kind of Knave usually came in groups…
You shot another bullet at its other leg, causing its knees to buckle. Quickly, you shot at its companion’s feet, which was stepping on scrapped metal. It ricocheted into its body, right into its heart. With a cry, it fell, and your attention focused on assessing how many Wanderers were around you.
… 1 at your 12:00—the one you just weakened, 1 at your 10:00—the one you had shot twice, 2 at your 4:00, and 3 at your 8:00, one of them being an Advanced Knave.
You could handle this.
You were quick to run towards the Wanderer at your 12:00, persuading the other Wanderers to follow suit. Since most of them—aside from the Advanced one—were melee, they took your bait, rushing towards you at full speed. You stepped on the Herte Knave below you, making it scream and squelch as the last of its life drained out of it. And just as the other Knaves were about to attack,
You swiftly move backwards, causing all 5 of them to collide with one another. In their dazed state—as quick as that was—you aimed at the Advanced Knave, easily dodging its ranged attacks.
You targeted the Advanced Knave immediately, knowing that if you were close enough, most of its attacks would be rendered useless. With one hand, you carried the Hunter’s gun, and in the other, you unsheathed Sylus’ dagger, its beautiful Damascus Steel blade glinting before you sank it into the chest of the Wanderer, making it screech. You could hear the other Wanderers charging at you already, and you rolled your eyes at the nuisance.
Your foot kicked the Wanderer down, effectively slipping the dagger out of its flesh cleanly. It stayed there as the monster struggled to get out of your weight on that foot, and you made sure to shoot it in its head before shooting the other Wanderers in their hearts. Some of them fell immediately, but the remaining two were resilient; it may be better to kill them with the dagger.
And so you did.
With a stomp to ensure that the Wanderer you had just killed with a headshot remained dead, you used that as leverage to speed up your sprint towards the two Knaves, dagger easily stabbing through their throats. As they fell down to their demise, your melee weapon was difficult to wrench out of one of their necks, leaving it there.
And with the final gush of their blood, the Wanderers were finally killed and dead for good, and you heaved in a sigh. Great, now you have to wash your dagger again. You kneeled down at the Herte Knave with the dagger in its neck, placing your gun back in its holster. Its tip felt hot against your thigh despite the thick elastic fabric distinguishing it from your bare skin.
Then, out of nowhere, you felt a sharp pain slicing through your other thigh, making you let out a guttural scream. You turned towards the other Wanderer, whose sword was about to cleanly cut your leg in half vertically. It was quick when you stabbed it one more time in its heart, and it dropped slack, no more resistance in its bones.
Fuck, you could barely even stand with how much pain you were in. you had no choice but to remove your shirt, using your already bloodied dagger to stab a hole into it, making you able to rip it into long strips. With careful and shaky hands, you wrapped it around your thigh, and you cursed when the wound was too big for your shirt to fully cover it. But this will have to do for now. Even if you could already see the blood seeping out of the makeshift bandage.
You didn’t even realize your eyes were tearing up until you tried to stand up. With a loud curse, your knees buckled, causing you to kneel once more. The impact of your knees hitting the hard ground traveled to your thigh, making you suck in a breath at the pain. You had to use something as a temporary cane… Ah, yes, the sword that sliced you in the first place would do.
You stood up with great effort, wincing and groaning throughout it. You placed the blunt end of the sword under your armpit as support, the tip of it digging into the dry dirt of the borders securely.
How far was home from here again?
—--
You quietly (as quietly as a person with a severe wound could) entered through the staff door that was tucked away somewhere in the back of Sylus’ base. A lot of the people there looked at you, clearly and rightfully alarmed, but you raised a shaky hand, pinching your pointer and thumb and running it across your lips, telling them to not speak a word.
They preferred you more than Sylus, anyway.
And with that, you were able to go to one of the vacant labs deep underground in Sylus’ base, immediately grabbing all of the tools needed to properly dress your wound. The staff knowing about your condition was inevitable, given they would notice the soiled shirt in the trash anyway. However, you did not want any of Sylus’ doctors to know; they reported everything to him. At least with the staff, you could plead to them to stay silent, but his doctors were relentless.
You sat down on one of the high tables, placing the leg with a wound on its thigh on a stool. The materials were right beside you, but you were just staring at the dripping blood pooling beneath your leg. You had to force yourself to not let any of your tears drip as your wound stung terribly, the flesh around it pulsating as your body desperately tried to fend off any potential infections from dressing the wound in unsanitary ‘bandages’. With shaky and slightly numb hands, you put on latex gloves. This shouldn’t hurt so much; you’ve been through worse. But you were usually under some kind of numbing agent, or under actual good hospital care provided by the Association. Nobody cared if you screamed until your lungs gave out.
But you couldn’t do that now.
Keep yourself quiet, keep yourself quiet, you chided, hissing when you began cleaning the wound, first with unscented, mild soap and water, and then Isopropyl alcohol. It solicited a small whimper from you, and you had to grab a towel from somewhere to bite down on it, muffling any slight noises you made.
You took a deep breath, staring at the thread and needle in your hands. Could you really do this without anesthesia?
The first stitch that had penetrated you almost made you scream, your hand tensing against the needle driver. You bit down on the towel so hard you couldn’t feel any saliva in your mouth anymore. Push through.
You were glad that you were taught how to suture wounds by Sylus’ doctors long ago. It wasn’t mandatory at all, since you knew that Sylus would most probably just carry you to the nearest doctor that was available. But you insisted on learning, if ever something like this happens. If ever you planned on ‘escaping’ and suddenly found yourself injured.
The thought of you even considering escaping distracted you a little, as it made you giggle a bit. 5 years ago and you were still thinking of leaving such a luxurious place like this.
You had 3 stitches tied and secured already. But with how big the slash was, you had assumed you needed… 8 more?
The more you worked against yourself, the more you could feel your stomach churn and your forehead dampen. The area burned white with how much it stung, especially after the endless amount of times you punctured yourself with the sharpest needle on Earth.
Well, it wasn’t. But it might as well be without anesthesia.
Finally, after a slow 10 minutes and painful trudges through the necessary procedure, it was stitched. Finally, it was stitched.
The room was deathly silent, only making the ringing of your ears even more piercing. Your hand slipped slightly with how it was slowly losing its grip, but you managed to place a long strip of gauze over the now neat, clean wound, though slightly jagged from the Wanderer’s sword. Your mouth was dry, your tongue flat against the cloth in your mouth, and you bit down even harder.
Your blood soaked through the first piece of gauze too easily. Too quickly. With a muted curse, you placed another strip, but this time with more conviction; you were slowly regaining your grip.
And so, you grabbed the bandage, finally easily able to wrap it around your thigh. The process was slow, painstaking, and you wouldn’t have been able to deny the times you would force yourself to peel your eyes away from your wound to let your liquid pain drip down onto the cold lab table.
Two more wrap-arounds and you were finished. Two more wrap-arounds and you were finished. Two more…
You swallowed thickly as you removed the towel in your mouth, sweat beading your forehead. The corners of your vision began to glitch, your physical exhaustion consuming you. But you had to push through; you were already done dressing your wound up. Quietly. Discreetly. Alone.
It took you a while to clean everything up, to remove the smell of blood from the room. You had grabbed a broom to place under your armpit once more and walked towards your room, which took another 20 minutes. Luckily, throughout the way there, a couple of servants had helped you, though secretly. It was like they didn’t want you to know.
But there wasn’t really anything that could get past your eyes.
—--
The moment you opened the door to your room, you noticed a small plate of your favorite food on your nightstand, still clearly fresh. A smile placed itself on your face; of course the chef knew, too.
You sat down on your bed, the mattress dipping. You didn’t hesitate to take a bite of your food, sighing in pleasure when you tasted the familiar sense of warmth spreading around your body. You laid down to rest your back on the headrest, a hand going down to your bed. There was a file on it, something you didn’t notice through the daze of blood loss you just went through.
You skimmed through it, right wrist beeping softly at the new information. So that’s what Sylus wanted to do…
Something uneasy and unsettling bubbled in your stomach. Not out of jealousy, though, no, totally not. But rather out of concern for MC’s health. How is Sylus so sure she can handle a mission like this?
You needed to reason out with him, surely.
Could you walk like this?
—--
The gunshot was what made you narrow your eyes, your hand hesitant on the door handle. Was there a special client he had to have taken care of in his bedroom ? You knew you shouldn’t doubt your boss as just his subordinate, but when have you ever actually taken that role as serious as that?
So, you opened the door, ready to dispose of a dead body despite your leg, when all of a sudden,
“Oh.” Your heart sank even if you had forced your body not to. Sylus was on top of MC in just his robe, pinning her wrists down. A pink cloud that had the words ”LOVE” written in it was right above them, making your mouth dry.
Sylus cocked his head ever so slightly when he heard your voice, and he raised a brow. “Darling, you should know when to knock.” There was that stupid teasing tone when he spoke, as if taunting you to go batshit crazy.
MC, who came to the conclusion that you two were probably an item of some sort (well, what should she have assumed when he called you darling?), looked rather distressed, immediately pushing Sylus off (or at least attempting to). “Wait! Wait, Nyx, this isn’t what it looks like! I-I needed to get a brooch so I could go to the next auctio—”
“I’m sorry for bothering you both,” your voice hung low with forced professionalism as you bowed your head softly, closing the door
Sylus’ grip weakened at your words, disappointed that you had submitted so easily to what was going on. MC wasn’t having it, though, so the moment she felt his grip against your wrists falter, she slipped away with agility, running towards the door whilst shouting your ‘name’. But it was too late; when she opened the door, you were already gone.
So after she closed the door again, she stood there, anger boiling under her skin. And before Sylus could even sneak in a snarky remark, she marched towards him, making him tilt his head.
And to say that Sylus was caught off guard was an understatement.
MC’s slap barely made him turn his head, but it still stung nonetheless. He could tell she was fuming, especially since he’d never seen her this mad so far.
“You did not tell me Nyx was your lover .” She said in a low voice, as if restraining herself from doing anything bad. “Why do you treat her like she’s just one of your lowly workers?” Sylus opened his mouth to speak, but MC cut him off with a finger. “And why did you do something so suggestive when you had a girlfriend this entire time?”
“You were the one trying to look for the brooch in my bedroom.” He calmly stated, crossing his arms. “And she is not my lover.”
MC scoffed, rolling her eyes. “I only wanted to steal that damn brooch because I need it to go around the N109 Zone. Didn’t you tell me that yourself? Plus, you were the one insisting that I find it instead of just giving it to me. And I don’t believe she’s your lover. Your grip weakened when she came in. Surely that means something , right?”
Her grasp of the brooch tightened. “The auction isn’t that far from now, and as of the moment, I will go with you. That never changed. But,” she glanced at the door, pursing her lips. “Know your boundaries, Sylus.”
She left the room, pinning the brooch onto her shirt by herself before slamming the door, leaving Sylus in his bedroom, for once speechless.
—--
The tears that came from your eyes were not from the wound you had gotten an hour or three ago. Rather, it came from a more internal wound.
You clicked your tongue as tears dripped onto the dark hallway, MC’s voice quieting the more you walked away. The adrenaline of it all began to wear off, making you lose your balance slightly. You hugged the wall to your left with a thud, but it only hit your thigh, making you seethe in pain. Angry tears blurred your vision, but even with that, you were able to make out the two familiar figures, as well as their voices.
“(Name)!” Luke exclaimed, hooking your arm around his shoulders. “Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on? Are you okay?” He pried you off of the wall, and you nodded your head, taking a deep breath. “I’m fine,” you replied, but the quiver in your voice gave you away.
Kieran glanced at the way you kept your left leg on your toes instead of flat against the floor. He was quick to do the same that Luke did with your other arm, essentially making the pressure against your leg alleviate just a bit. “But you don’t look fine. Is there something wrong with your leg—”
“I said I’m fine.” You snapped, taking a sharp inhale before speaking again to keep your composure. “I… I had a little fight with Wanderers a couple hours ago, and my leg is…”
“Bleeding?” Kieran asked you, making you narrow your eyes and tilt your head. “Well, technically. But what do you mean?”
“Well,” Luke stared at your left thigh. “It’s—It’s bleeding. Like seeping through your clothes.”
“What? ” You quickly glanced at your leg and realized that you probably pulled a couple of stitches, making you hiss at the realization. Fuck, that means you’d have to redo everything all over again.
You bit your lip when the twins sat you down on your bed (you weren’t sure how you didn’t notice the walk there) before looking at them. “You two know how to suture, right?”
They nodded hesitantly, exchanging glances with each other.
“Get the supplies, especially the anesthesia, or a numbing agent, no matter how mild it is. Please. ”

PLEASURE
synopsis: The walls of the bedroom echo with the click of handcuffs being fastened, followed by silence… warnings: light bdsm, dom/sub wc: 2,2k
Tumblr media
Chapter 1.
He will never refuse to crush your foundations and suppress your moral principles; squeeze your will into a fist and command it as he pleases - without any effort.
It is impossible to resist his magnetic, sexually arousing timbre of voice. Outwardly, he remains invariably serene, with flawless facial features. It is hard to believe that he is real, only his sarfir-red eyes make him alive.
You appear, prove your - correct point of view, read moralizing lectures. This is more like expressive attacks on your part, and from him - complete calm. He does not raise his voice. He expresses himself in a suggestible and convincing way, forcing you to surrender in the end. It is unclear how he manages to influence others. There is a high probability that the reason is Evol deadly force. You need to try to find him a worthy opponent. The head of Onychinus is respected and feared - according to the timeless classic.
He takes verbal attacks for irony, considering your past professional activity. Six months ago, he bought you out of the brothel. Since then, he has become your only Master. In fact, life has changed significantly, because everything is learned in comparison. With him, you do not need to be afraid of unfamiliar clients, guess what is on their minds. Sylus immediately made it clear what he expects from you. He told you about his preferences.
Nothing that happened between you was a revelation. You came across different clients ready to order exotic services for an additional fee.
The thread of trust with Sylus grew stronger day by day. Over time, you began to look forward to intimacy with him more and more often, while feeling even more completely safe. You know: he will cover you, will not let anyone hurt you. Even if it is about retribution, the price he paid for you, and his protection is just a pretense.
The bathroom door opens, releasing hot clouds of steam. You close your eyes. In advance, you mentally outline the silhouette of a strong, male body, with transparent droplets of water flowing down the muscles.
Any discussions are left far behind when unbridled passion flares up between you. So strong that nothing and no one can stop you. You are powerless against each other. It is akin to addiction. You are completely different, but the craving is irresistible - is it only on a physical level?
Or is it not just that?
When he is away for too long, you begin to yearn. Almost howl from helplessness and the desire to run wherever your eyes look, just to calm your heart again. Self-hypnosis almost never works: neither promises to break up with him, that their new meeting is definitely now the last; not confessions that you bite your fist until it marks, holding back desperate moans through the pain.
You need him.
Needed. More than air.
Life without it has long ceased to seem significant…
It is dusk outside. The weather in Zone N109 is consistently gloomy. The path for travelers is illuminated by a bloody moon, high in the sky in a fog of clouds, through which the warm rays caressing the skin do not penetrate.
Once a bustling technology center, this is now, after the catastrophe that occurred, one of the most dangerous areas. Surrounded by other forbidden zones, this "island" has turned into a lawless land where danger and opportunity coexist. The Zone is rife with violence and crime. Due to illegal trade and dangerous research, many of its activities are associated with protocors and Wanderers.
But everything seems very far away when you are in his arms.
He approaches you from behind, barely touching, drawing abstract patterns along your spine until he reaches your lower back. You want to step back, press yourself against his chest and stand there until dawn, which will not come. Today you don’t really want to swear, because it’s a useless exercise. The worst thing is to try to remake a person to your own rules, to deprive him of his own “I”.
- You won.
- I know, - he only says in a whisper. There is no mockery in his intonation.
Long fingers, exciting the imagination, climb under the unbuttoned shirt, under which you are wearing only panties and a leather harness on your chest. You like to wear men's shirts, sweaters and accessories: to remember his warmth, the smell of perfume. At least this way you can not part, keeping the memories.
With a slight movement, Sylus turns you to face him. You slip your finger under the belt of the towel, hinting at an extra piece of clothing, to which Sylus raises an eyebrow questioningly. Finally, his lips twist into a smug grin. There is no need to rush, you have the whole night at your disposal, except for those days when the man is present at important meetings and negotiations.
Humility will pay off in full.
The costs of the profession do not disappear without a trace. In the brothel, the owner expected productive work from the prostitutes: the more clients, the more income. The slaves themselves received just enough to keep from starving to death.
You are incredibly lucky to be freed, when hundreds of the same weak-willed slaves are still languishing in the brothel. Asking for a big favor is a thankless task. You have already received everything: the best lover who can provide for your life exactly until the end of the term of need. If he wants, it seems that he has the power to close the brothel, only in place of one establishment another will appear. This is an endless struggle between evil and evil.
Those same fingers that you can’t stop dreaming about, grasp your thin wrist with traces of abrasions and bruises that have not yet disappeared.
- Put it behind your back.
Your breath catches from the realization of what will happen next. Sylus goes to the chest of drawers with clothes. The top drawer contains his special toys. The cold metal of the handcuffs gleams in the dim light of the lamps. Breathe, just breathe. You obediently move your hands back and clasp them in a lock. The tall, blond figure walks past you, then stops behind you, out of sight.
The click of cuffs echoes off the bedroom walls, and then there's silence. Sylus walks around you, coming back to face you. His dark lashes flutter. Without realizing it, you're staring at him, taking in every inch of him: the smooth curves of his brows, the thick lashes, the neat nose, the sensual lips.
The man's gaze lifts, and his eyebrows rise, giving him an innocent look. A minute passes, maybe two. It's hard to tell. Reality swirls around you as you fall into his eyes. Your thoughts are naked. You have no intention of hiding your desires.
You watch with agonizing anticipation as he takes the metal chain attached to your choker at the other end and threads the carabiner through the ring on his collar, symbolizing a single bond.
Sylus advances on you until he collides with the wall. Your shoulders shake. Your heart starts pounding, but you don't panic. Thanks to his mercy, you're probably still alive. With that - the past lifestyle, girls don't grow old, especially in Zone N109.
This debt is indefinite. Never to be repaid.
- Sweetheart, if you don't want to...
- I remembered the past at the wrong time, - you brush away the rapidly running tears on your cheeks. - I owe you all...
He puts a finger to your lips, urging you to shut up, to which you nod in agreement and throw your leg over his waist. There should be no reason for sadness today or tomorrow. With ease, the man grabs you by the armpits and lifts you off the ground, allowing you to wrap both legs around him, because there is nothing else to hold on to.
Sylus is your support. A gift from fate.
- Forgive me.
This time he silences you with a kiss, punishing you by pressing your lips together and depriving you of the rest of your air. His hand pulls the chain down, bringing your chest closer to his.
- Think of us.
Sylus's deep, low voice makes you smile tenderly. His rough tongue licks the salty tracks of tears. You will only cry from the highest degree of pleasure, because he swore: "I'll be damned if I don't get my way."

Four major wildfires have forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate Los Angeles County. The largest, the Palisades Fire, has destroyed 1,000 structures and burned over 5,000 acres. Fires in Eaton Canyon and other areas have stretched emergency services to capacity. "The LA County Fire Department was prepared for one or two major brush fires, but not four," Fire Chief Anthony Marrone stated, citing extreme winds as a major challenge. Officials warn worsening conditions could further endanger residents and homes.
Tumblr media
Vice President Kamala Harris was briefed as fires approached her Los Angeles home, which was under evacuation orders. "She and the Second Gentleman are praying for the safety of their fellow Californians," said spokesperson Ernesto Apreza. Meanwhile, President Biden received updates on federal efforts to assist California during his visit to Santa Monica. The National Guard has been deployed to support overwhelmed firefighting teams in the region.
Tumblr media
Sheriff Robert Luna addressed residents' safety concerns, assuring them that evacuation zones are being secured. "They are securing areas that are evacuated," Luna said. "And it's always sad when I have to say this, but part of our responsibility is to make sure that no one loots or steals from our residents." He also reported that two individuals had already been arrested for looting.

Hollywood stars including Mark Hamill, Mandy Moore, James Woods and Steve Guttenberg were among the thousands of residents sent fleeing as raging wildfires tore through affluent neighbourhoods in Los Angeles, consuming homes, threatening iconic buildings and bringing the heart of the film industry to a halt, with numerous film events cancelled or postponed. Other celebrities affected by the wildfires include: Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, Cary Elwes, and Paris Hilton.
The wildfires burned through affluent neighborhoods in Los Angeles, including the Pacific Palisades, which is home to many A-list actors. The fires threatened iconic buildings, destroyed homes, and brought the film industry to a halt.
The American Film Institute has announced that the annual AFI Awards luncheon has been postponed.
Amazon pulled the plug on the premiere for Jennifer Lopez's Unstoppable and Universal cancelled the world premiere for the Blumhouse horror film Wolf Man, both slated to take place Tuesday night. Paramount has also cancelled its Wednesday night L.A. premiere for Better Man, a Robbie Williams biopic, and the upcoming Max medical drama series The Pitt cancelled its red carpet in Los Angeles, which was set to take place on Wednesday. The premiere of The Last Showgirl, scheduled for Thursday, has also been cancelled by its studio, Roadside Attractions.
The annual BAFTA Tea Party, a celebrity-filled stop on the Oscar circuit originally intended to occur on Jan. 11, has been cancelled "in light of the dangerous winds and wildfires in Los Angeles," BAFTA North America said in a statement on X.
Mansions belonging to the rich and famous aren't the only structures being destroyed. Iconic film locations such as Topanga Ranch Motel, which has featured in a dozen films, were being threatened by fire, local media reported.

A fire broke out Tuesday near the Pacific Palisades — a coastal neighborhood on the west side of Los Angeles — and quickly exploded in less than an hour to at least 200 acres.
A large swath of people in Topanga Canyon, a woodsy, tucked-away community with one winding road in and out, are under evacuation warnings. The fire sparked amid a “life-threatening and destructive” windstorm event that’s sweeping through a region that has not seen significant rain since spring.
The region is prone to massive, fast-moving fires that erupt during the dry, powerful Santa Ana winds. The area’s geography and limited evacuation infrastructure can make evacuations a challenge.

Heart On A Leash
Content warning: violence/language
The night was coming as the sky darkened the streets. Lamp lights bursting into life humming filling the busy streets of the pride district. The glimmering lights of high fashion businesses filled the dark streets with a sense of life. Casting golden lights onto black pavement.
Of corse Kitty found herself here picking up a new suit from Alastor’s tailor. He always sent her on these little tasks as he was far to busy to bother with such mundane things. Of corse she has to do what ever he asks, he snaps his fingers and she quickly goes into getting what ever he asks completed in a speedy and accurate manner. Her contract had been signed years ago, signing her soul away for powers to protect herself in the war zone that was hell.
She was a visage to behold in these modern times, looking as if she had stepped off the pages of a 1920s fashion magazine. Wearing a layered chiffon green dress, and a pair of short heels. Her hair wild and free bright auburn in color. It was only tamed slightly by a matching green head band. Her large fox ears were perked and flicked listening to various sounds around her as she moved carrying his suit. Sinners gave her passing glances, mostly that of lust. She rolled her eyes. *try me* she thought.
She was eager to get back to the hotel, where it was safe. Kitty much rather preferred going out with Alastor. People fled from him, and she didn’t have to worry about being bothered. She kept alert turning a corner.
A large wolf sinner cornered her suddenly “well well what’s the hurry baby?”
Her red eyes narrowed looking up at him. “Pardon you.” She said slipping out and away from him. She felt a hand on her wrist jerking her back
“I wasn’t done talkin with you sugar. Where you headed so fast?” He grinned showing rows of sharp teeth.
Even in this life men didn’t know how to obey the word no. She bared her fangs. “I said. Pardon you.”
“Oh hohoh feisty. I can get with that” he grinned down at her. She felt his hands on her hips and she bristled. Oh hell no.
She leaned setting Alastor’s suit aside. Her bracelet she wore hummed and emitted static sounds. *yeah yeah I’ll be quick. I got this one* she could tell Alastor was spying on her sensing danger.
In a flash kitty had a knife in her hand and at the larger sinner’s throat “when a lady says no, and you go ahead and touch her anyway~ there’s really no other solution “ she laughed. In a flash she felt blood spray in her face. Her eyes were dark. The sinner stumbled back grabbing at his throat. He fell back onto the ground. Her heel pressed into his throat as she snarled down at him. “Don’t fuck with the radio demon.” Was all she said before spitting on him.
She put her knife away. She grabbed his suit and stood collecting her self “trash~” she said stepping over his body as he died. Hell was so much like Earth sometimes.
The magic eye radio bracelet around her wrist crackled with static and faintly she could hear through it “kitty~”
She sighed “I know. I know…..you said no distractions. I know you have the meeting tonight with the Overlords.”
She would more than likely receive and ear full for being late, but it was worth it to put that sinner down. Before long she found herself entering the radio tower connected to the hotel. Closing the door behind her she was greeted with “you’re late”
“I’m sorry there was this sinner who cornered me and was getting handsy.” She said sighing. “I did not get blood on your suit.” She said handing it over to him.
Alastor looked down at her his eyes heavy lidded like he was judging her. His grind widened on his face “you always did look rather pretty in crimson~” he said in a flirtatious tone.
Well he seemed amused. So maybe no talking to this time. “I know how much you love red darling~” she smirked. She moved into the hall way from the office area. She sighed softly heading into the bathroom. When she killed he always made her come in through the radio tower as not to startle Charlie. She pursed her lips “kitty….what am I gonna do with you.” She mused. Grabbing a cloth she began to wash her face of blood making sure it get every drop. Sensing his presence in the door way her eyes looked behind her in the mirror.
He was standing there grinning “hm. There you go. I need you to be ready in ten minutes to come take notes for me.” His tone sounded a little tired.
“You didn’t sleep again did you.” She said turning to face him scolding him as if he were a child.
His ears flicked at her chastising words. “I have a lot on my plate right now, Cher”
“You need sleep otherwise your brain won’t work.” She sighed heavily “alright give me a few minutes.” She walked past him. He grinned at her. She made her way into the small kitchen area and started brewing coffee.
How could he miss out on sleep again? He wouldn’t be sharp for the meeting today. *stubborn idiot* she thought to herself. She stood at the counter listening to the coffee maker boil and hiss.
Alastor came into the kitchen again watching her curious.
“Have you nothing more pressing than following me around, darling~” she said teasing him
He grinned towering over her “oh but darling. It is my utmost duty to pester you at all times~”
Kitty let out a groan. She pinched the bridge of her nose “you can do that but not sleep?” She said clicking her tongue to her teeth.
She felt his finger under her chin suddenly lifting her gaze to his. He smirked down at her his eyes burning into hers. Her face flushed lightly at the sudden act
“Hmmm.” His eyes bore into her. His hand caresses her face lightly “seems you have missed a spot. Getting sloppy, darling~” he teased. He loved pushing her buttons.
She smacked his hand away her face flushed. He simply laughed at the reaction. She poured him a coffee and shoved it into his hands “asshole.” She said before storming off to change. Her face felt heated.
Alastor simply cackled as she stormed off. He took the coffee and started sipping it. “Thanks darling~”

This one’s written in the narrative and perspective of phantom
Warnings: mistreating ghouls
After hours of talking with him I had to leave, I didn’t want to but I also didn’t want to stress papa out more then he already is. I wave goodbye to my new friend and tell them ill see them tomorrow. Once I get back to the practice room Swiss sees how I was zoning out as I tuned my guitar. “Hey ant, you doing ok today? You seem kinda outta it” Swiss asked me, I look up to him snapping out of the trance my mind had me in. “Hm? Oh, umm..yeah I’m all good….do you know of ghouls that, uhh, glow in the dark?” I ask him sounding more nervous than I meant to. “Oh, water ghouls? Has rain not told you about deep sea water ghouls before? You know how rain likes to brag about his element every now and then.” Swiss tells me before messing up my hair and walking to his makeshift mini stage. “I need to talk to rain!” I whisper to myself before getting up to my side of the practice stage. Practice felt like forever for once and I think the others could tell it was bothering me. After what felt like forever practice ended and I rush off to put my guitar away so I could catch up to rain, todays was his off day so sodo had offered to put his guitar up for him. Rain was already a good bit down the hall when I catch up to him panting from running. “You ok phant?” Rain asks me slowing down his walking, “I- haah- I wanted to ask you- huhh- shit- about deep sea ghouls.” I finally was able to spit out panting heavily. “Oh, sure, but I do wanna know why you wanna know, you can tell me back in my room if its like some kind of secret.” Rain says to me, he sounded slightly curious but willing to tell me. After a few minutes of walking and talking about random things we finally get to rains room, the lights where a lot more dark and had something covering them to make them a different color, it was like being underwater but not. I sit down on one of rains chairs in his mini living room, it was a cool little area, I hadnt thought of making a mini living room in my room before. Thats beside the point though, once rain sits down on his couch he asks me “so, what’s got you interested in deep sea ghouls all of a sudden? You usually dont care for this kind of thing.” I look over to rain almost jumping before saying “you remember the ghoul that was summoned a few weeks ago?” Rain looks at me thinking for a second, “wait, wait, are you saying the ghoul that we all where told was feral and dangerous, is not only a deep sea water ghoul, but also not so dangerous?” He says to me. “Yeah, he’s not at all what she said, they’re really nice, and funny, but they-“ rain cuts me off before I could finish “sensitive to light?” Rain finished fore me. “Yeah, I brought a lot of blankets down there to block out light and when they opened their eyes they stared at me like they had never seen a ghoul like me before” I pause for a bit before continuing “h-he also was glowing, the colors where so pretty but so dull, l-like they are sick, or hurt” I move my legs up in the chair hugging them now thinking about it more. Rain takes a second to think, “ant, dont freak out when I tell you this ok?” I nod looking towards rain instead of the floor. “That is a deep sea ghoul, they aren’t usually on the surface, like ever, he is probably hurt, what colors did he glow?” Rain asked me, I take a moment to think before responding “I think…purple blue and..red, does that mean anything?” I say hoping I remember correctly. “Okay, so they are hurt…I’ve got a idea, ok? But you’ve got to trust me” rain gets up and goes to his bathroom looking for stuff. “O-ok? But what are you going to do?” I ask confused. “Im going to help, you just have to trust me”

I spent my nights on melting snow
Tumblr media
There is no good reason to enter the Wasteland Rift. The endlessly snowy expanse between the Plaguelands and the sea, once called Russia, was nothing but ruins, enemies, and cold. Maybe there was something worthwhile in the Moscow Dead Zone, but beyond that, it wasn't worth it. The House of Falcons ruled the area with an iron grip, and the few brave enough to defy them proved far more dangerous than any of the beasts or Fallen in the area.
But if there was some reason, whatever it may be, to enter the Wasteland Rift, there are a handful of rules any Lightbearer stupid enough to traverse the area needs to learn.
Chief among them, is under no circumstance should you enter the Wasteland Rift. Never miss the same shot twice. You'll die in the space between the second and third. Avoid the House of Falcons. They'll kill you and your Ghost. Watch the snow. There are drifts that'll swallow you whole if you step into them. Watch for the wild animals. They'll tear you apart given the chance. Never enter Lord Odysseus of the Rift's hunt ground.
One particularly unfortunate Lightbearer learned this final rule from the Lord himself.
He spotted them coming a mile away, bright red against the snow, like a splash of blood. He watched as they approached the ruins, perched atop, waiting until they were nearby to drop down.
He grabbed the New Light by the shoulder. "Don't move a muscle if you value your life," he snapped, twisting their arms. He slammed them against the wall, knocking their breath out of their lungs with the force.
"The hell brought you to the Rift?" he demanded. He had one hand holding their arms behind their back and another pressing a gun to their head.
The Lightbearer stutters slightly, unable to speak for a moment, too shocked at the sudden attack.
Odysseus slams them into the wall. "ANSWER," he snaps with malicious impatience.
"I- I came looking for loot. I heard the Moscow Dead Zone hadn't really been picked thr-" they stammered out.
Odysseus cuts them off with a kick to the leg. "Bad idea. You're in House of Falcons territory. And more importantly, mine." He leans in to their face, the cold sting of the air mingling with the warmth of his breath as he growled out a warning. “Stay out of my hunting grounds unless you want to become my next piece of prey,” he hissed through gritted teeth.
He steps back, releasing his hold by pushing them to the ground. “I won’t be so kind next time. So preserve what’s left of your worthless life, and start running,” he growled, standing over them with the menace of an experienced predator.
He kicked a gun towards them, his face twisted in a look between disgust, rage, and pity. “Or stay,” he added, voice low like an animal growling at it's prey. “And I sink my teeth into your throat.” The way he spoke, it sounded like he was offering some kind of favor or mercy.
The Lightbearer scrambled to grab the weapon and ran.
Odysseus huffed, watching them leave. Running like a rabbit from an eagle.
Good. The less in the Rift the better.
There is no good reason to enter the Wasteland Rift.

Here’s what I’ve learned:
They issue these warnings on a county scale; the county I live in is a little under 1000 square miles. The area I care about on most days is maybe 1 square mile so I have a .1% chance that information is relevant to me. Now, after 30 years I’ve learned a bit about the weather patterns for the area so I know how to scale the weather accordingly (light drizzle? For north and south of me. Light rain? I’ll get a drizzle. Etc.)
What has helped me learn when to be concerned (you know, besides my eyes) is that my job required me to sign up for a red alert account because that’s how they issue weather related delays and closing information to employees. I was able to put my house and my work locations in and while the county’s getting an 8am to 1pm severe weather alert, I’ll get a text saying “severe weather alert for x location from 11:15am to 11:50am” then I’ll know if that location will be in the danger zone and when. And from experience, it’s pretty damn accurate.
weather apps are like SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING!! REMAIN INDOORS UNTIL actually it’s gonna drizzle lol sike. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING. it may not rain actually. 9 INCHES OF RAIN INCOMING. 10% chance of rain. THIS STORM WILL BLOW YOUR COCK STRAIGHT OFF

A New Guide to Beacon Lights for Trucks
Has anyone else used a beacon light? Do you know what they are used for? What are the uses of their various flashing modes? What functions do the lights of so many colors have? How should we consider and choose a beacon light?
Facing these questions, you may be completely confused. Please don't worry, you're not alone. I will elaborate it in this article, give a new guide to you about how to choose and use these beacon lights with different flashing modes and colors.
Tumblr media
What are beacon lights used for?
They can enhance the visibility of vehicles at night or in low-light conditions. By emitting intense light, these lights can attract the attention of other road users, and thereby clearly remind them of the presence of a vehicle ahead.
Some of them also have a continuous lighting function, which can provide necessary illumination for the surrounding environment when the vehicle is parked, ensuring safety. Especially at construction sites or accident scenes, this temporary lighting function is particularly important and can effectively prevent accidents.
In addition, different types of beacon lights can convey specific information through flashing patterns or color changes.
How many flashing modes? Which modes are suitable for what?
There are four common flashing modes for beacons. They are fast flashing, slow flashing, rotating flashing, and continuous lighting.
Fast flashing beacon light
It is often used in emergency situations, likes fire trucks, ambulances, and police patrol cars are on a mission. It can attract enough attention in a short time, demanding that other vehicles give way to ensure that the rescue team can reach the destination quickly.
Slow flashing beacon light
The slow flashing mode is suitable for general warning purposes, such as for engineering vehicles, trailers, and road rescue vehicles. This mode can remind surrounding vehicles to be cautious and avoid collisions. In addition, the slow flashing mode can also be used to mark temporary traffic control areas or special work zones to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other vehicles.
Rotating beacon light
The rotating mode is usually used for sirens or other occasions that require high visibility. It can create a more eye-catching visual effect and is suitable for scenarios such as traffic control and evacuation guidance. Some high-end products also support adjusting the rotation speed to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
Continuous beacon lighting
The continuous lighting mode is mainly used to provide a stable light source and is suitable for work lights or temporary lighting purposes. This mode can provide necessary illumination for the surrounding environment when the vehicle is parked, ensuring safety. Especially at construction sites or accident scenes, this temporary lighting function can effectively prevent accidents.
How many colors does it have, and what do different colors represent?
Amber beacon light
Amber is one of the most common colors for beacon lights and is widely used on engineering vehicles, trailers, and road rescue vehicles. It is used to indicate danger or an emergency situation and reminds surrounding vehicles to be cautious. Amber lights have high visibility, and can be easily recognized from a long distance, improving driving safety.
Red beacon light
Red is mainly used on emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances to indicate an emergency state and demand that other vehicles give way. Red lights can attract the attention of people around at the first moment, helping the rescue team reach the accident scene quickly. In addition, red lights are also often used to mark no-go areas or special restricted areas to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other vehicles.
Blue beacon light
Blue is usually limited to police cars and other authorized law enforcement vehicles to indicate that a law enforcement operation is in progress. Blue lights have a unique visual effect and can quickly attract attention in a complex environment, ensuring the safety of law enforcement officers and maintaining public order.
Green beacon light
Green lights are usually used by medical first responders or private medical service vehicles to indicate the presence of professional medical personnel. The choice of this color helps to distinguish ordinary vehicles from emergency vehicles and ensures that the medical rescue team can reach the scene smoothly.
What should be noted when choosing a beacon light?
Size
The size of the beacon light should match the size of the truck and take into account the needs of the actual usage scenario. For small trucks or light trailers, a smaller one can meet the requirements; while for large trucks or heavy transport vehicles, lights with greater power and a wider irradiation range may be needed.
Different installation methods
It is very important to choose the right installation method according to the actual work requirements. Generally, beacon lights have two installation options: magnetic and screw-fixed, to adapt to different usage scenarios. Magnetic installation does not require complex tools or professional skills and is very suitable for vehicles used for a short period, such as temporary rescue vehicles or trailers. For users of long-term RVs, agricultural vehicles, etc., they can choose the screw installation method. The attached washers make it easy to switch between the two installation modes. Avoid removing the magnet frequently to maintain optimal performance.
Installation location
The installation location of the beacon light should be accordance with the location clearly visible in all directions. It is advisable to install the light on the top of the vehicle. or other prominent positions likes the front of the vehicle, both sides of the body, or the rear of the vehicle. What's more, it is necessary to comply with local laws and regulations.
Whether local regulations permit
Different regions have strict regulations on the use of beacons. Therefore, before purchasing, be sure to check local laws and regulations, to ensure that the selected light meets the relevant requirements and avoid unnecessary fines or other legal issues.
Wireless or wired beacon lights
Modern beacon lights are divided into two types: wireless and wired. Wireless beacon lights can transmit signals and are equipped with built-in antennas to ensure signal stability. This design simplifies the installation process and reduces the complexity of wiring, especially suitable for vehicles that are often moved and used. In contrast, although wired beacon lights are more complex to install, they provide a more stable and reliable connection, especially suitable for vehicles that are used for a long time and fixed. Choose the appropriate product type according to actual needs to ensure the best performance.
Conclusion
In a word, by following the above guidelines, you can clearly understand how to use these different beacon lights, know what scenarios different flashing modes and colors should be used in, and easily find the most suitable beacon light for yourself, ensuring a safe and reliable lighting experience every time you travel.

Traffic Infractions: Types and Categories
Traffic Infractions Detailed Examination of Types of Traffic Infractions1. Minor Infractions 2. Major Infractions 3. Criminal Violations Understanding the Interplay Between Categories Traffic Infractions Traffic infractions, commonly referred to as violations of traffic laws, are a pervasive issue in modern society. They range from minor breaches, such as failing to signal a turn, to more serious violations, like reckless driving or driving under the influence. Understanding the causes, consequences, and potential remedies for traffic infractions is essential for fostering safer roads and more responsible behavior among drivers.

Detailed Examination of Types of Traffic Infractions Traffic infractions are violations of legal rules designed to ensure the safe operation of vehicles on public roads. They are categorized into three types—minor infractions, major infractions, and criminal violations—each with distinct characteristics, implications, and penalties. This categorization helps legal systems address infractions proportionately, focusing resources on preventing the most dangerous behaviors while promoting compliance with general traffic laws. 1. Minor Infractions Minor infractions, often referred to as civil or petty violations, are breaches of traffic rules that pose little or no immediate danger to public safety. These infractions are generally technical or administrative in nature, and while they may disrupt traffic flow or inconvenience others, they do not usually result in accidents or injuries. Examples of Minor Infractions: - Parking offenses, such as parking in a no-parking zone or overstaying a meter limit. - Failing to signal before turning or changing lanes. - Driving slightly above the posted speed limit. - Driving with an expired vehicle registration or inspection sticker. Penalties: - Minor infractions typically result in monetary fines, the amount of which varies by jurisdiction and the specific offense. - Warnings or citations are common for first-time or low-severity offenses. - In some cases, points may be added to the offender’s driving record, which can affect insurance premiums. Implications: Although minor infractions are less severe, they can cumulatively lead to broader consequences. For example, repeated minor violations may signal a lack of attention to traffic rules and result in stricter penalties or license suspension. 2. Major Infractions Major infractions represent a significant breach of traffic laws and are considered more serious because they increase the risk of accidents, injuries, and property damage. These offenses often indicate reckless or negligent behavior. Examples of Major Infractions: - Excessive speeding, typically defined as driving far above the speed limit, especially in school zones or construction areas. - Running red lights or stop signs, which increases the risk of collisions. - Driving without a valid license or with a suspended license. - Operating a vehicle without proper insurance or inspection. Penalties: - Hefty fines, often much higher than those for minor infractions. - Suspension or revocation of the driver’s license, depending on the severity and frequency of violations. - Addition of multiple points to the driver’s record, which may lead to higher insurance premiums. - Court-mandated traffic school or driver education programs as corrective measures. Implications: Major infractions reflect a higher degree of disregard for public safety. They have the potential to cause significant harm and often result in stricter enforcement actions. If left unaddressed, such behaviors can escalate into criminal violations. 3. Criminal Violations Criminal violations are the most severe category of traffic infractions. These involve behaviors that directly threaten the lives of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. Unlike minor and major infractions, criminal violations are treated as criminal offenses, often requiring court proceedings and resulting in substantial legal and social consequences. Examples of Criminal Violations: - Reckless Driving: Driving with willful disregard for the safety of others, such as weaving through traffic at high speeds or racing. - Driving Under the Influence (DUI): Operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, which significantly increases the likelihood of accidents. - Hit-and-Run: Leaving the scene of an accident without assisting victims or reporting the incident. - Vehicular Manslaughter: Causing the death of another person through negligent or reckless driving. Penalties: - Criminal violations carry the most severe penalties, including heavy fines, imprisonment, or both. - Court-ordered community service, probation, or mandatory participation in rehabilitation programs, particularly for DUIs. - Permanent revocation of driving privileges in extreme cases, such as repeated offenses or vehicular manslaughter. - Criminal records, which can affect future employment, housing, and social standing. Implications: Criminal violations not only harm individuals and families but also strain public resources, including law enforcement, medical services, and legal systems. They underscore the importance of adhering to traffic laws and highlight the need for deterrent measures, such as strict enforcement and public awareness campaigns. Understanding the Interplay Between Categories The categorization of traffic infractions into minor, major, and criminal violations provides a framework for addressing unsafe driving behaviors appropriately. However, it is crucial to note that these categories often overlap. For instance: - A series of minor infractions may escalate to major infractions if repeated over time. - A major infraction, such as excessive speeding, can lead to criminal charges if it results in an accident causing injury or death. This gradation ensures that legal systems can respond proportionately, balancing corrective measures for minor violations with punitive actions for severe breaches of public safety. Traffic infractions, though categorized as minor, major, or criminal, all contribute to the overall safety and functionality of public roads. Minor infractions remind us of the importance of attentiveness to rules, while major infractions and criminal violations highlight the potentially devastating consequences of recklessness and negligence. By understanding these categories and their implications, both individuals and societies can work toward fostering safer driving environments, reducing accidents, and ensuring equitable enforcement of traffic laws. Causes of Traffic Infractions The reasons behind traffic infractions are varied, encompassing individual, societal, and systemic factors: - Human Error and Negligence: Drivers may commit infractions due to inattention, impatience, or lack of knowledge about traffic laws. Fatigue and distractions, such as mobile phone use, are significant contributors. - Risk-Taking Behavior: Some drivers intentionally disregard traffic rules, believing they can avoid consequences. This includes speeding, tailgating, and overtaking in dangerous conditions. - Systemic Issues: Poor road design, inadequate signage, or insufficient enforcement of traffic laws can inadvertently encourage infractions. Urban congestion and poorly timed traffic signals often frustrate drivers, prompting illegal maneuvers. Consequences of Traffic Infractions Traffic infractions have wide-ranging implications, affecting individuals and society as a whole: - Safety Risks: Infractions are a leading cause of road accidents, injuries, and fatalities. Even minor violations can escalate into life-threatening situations. - Economic Costs: Traffic accidents resulting from infractions impose significant costs on healthcare systems, insurance companies, and the broader economy. Traffic fines also constitute a financial burden on offenders. - Legal and Social Consequences: Offenders may face legal penalties, including fines, license suspensions, and imprisonment. Repeated infractions can lead to stigmatization or restricted employment opportunities, particularly for professional drivers. Strategies to Mitigate Traffic Infractions Addressing traffic infractions requires a multi-faceted approach, combining education, enforcement, and infrastructure improvements: - Education and Awareness Campaigns: Public awareness programs can help drivers understand the importance of traffic laws and the consequences of violations. Driver education should emphasize defensive driving and ethical responsibility. - Technological Interventions: Innovations such as automated traffic cameras, speed sensors, and connected vehicles can detect and prevent infractions. Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) also help reduce human error. - Stronger Enforcement: Effective policing and consistent application of traffic laws deter potential violators. Penalties should be proportionate to the severity of the infraction to ensure fairness and deterrence. - Infrastructure Improvements: Redesigning roads to minimize congestion and implementing clear signage can reduce unintentional violations. Dedicated lanes for specific vehicles, like buses and bicycles, enhance order and predictability. - Community Engagement: Encouraging public participation in traffic safety initiatives fosters a sense of collective responsibility. Community-driven efforts, such as neighborhood watch programs for traffic, can complement formal enforcement. Conclusion Traffic infractions, while often perceived as minor offenses, have profound implications for public safety, economic stability, and societal harmony. Understanding their causes and consequences allows for the development of effective strategies to prevent violations and promote responsible driving. As roads become increasingly congested, the importance of adhering to traffic laws cannot be overstated. By cultivating a culture of respect for traffic rules and prioritizing systemic solutions, societies can move closer to achieving safer and more efficient transportation systems.
