just saw a post talking about the tlt cast doing kpop dance challenges and couldn't shut up so now i'm making my own post. i know significantly more about girl groups than i do boy groups, so i'm assigning everyone a girl group and/or female soloist enjoy.

judith: she was a wonder girls stan growing up and acts like it was just a casual phase but she still religiously awaits every comeback from sunmi

marta: mamamoo. she's not actually involved with the fandom in any way she just knows good vocals when she hears em

coronabeth: she has pretty broad tastes for the most part and tends to be a bit inconsistent with her ults-- these days it's ive and she is THE wonyoung defender, but she had a hell of a red velvet phase before that, and there was also a good while when she was big into momoland.

ianthe: aoa. miniskirt was the only song of theirs that she knew before the scandal she hopped onto that ship right as it was sinking. i do also think corona showed her the monster mv when it came out and she was obligated by sisterly law to make fun of it but then promptly binged every single thing red velvet has ever created.

isaac: he likes nmixx and aespa, but i think he's more intense about craxy and a couple other nugu groups. he enjoys the newer songs that sound like three completely different songs got smashed together my boy wants NOISE.

jeannemary: DREAMCATCHER. girlie is the biggest somnie on earth and has a massive crush on dami and sua in particular. she's a big girlcrush enjoyer in general though she also stans everglow, pixy, and purplekiss.

silas: gangnam style is the only kpop song he has ever heard and he is deeply distraught upon learning that there's more.

harrowhark: by and large does not listen to kpop but she saw the mv to paradise lost by gain as a young teenager and it Did Something To Her. i think there's a timeline out there where she's a cheshire but in that timeline her parents love her

why did you choose your url? I chose my url because I am a Shawol and a Reveluv! At the time I'd been through several urls based on eras/songs and they only worked for a short while so I wanted something more permanent and SHINee are my ults while Red Velvet is the first girl group I really started following so here we go~ I actually have a list of other fandom combo names for urls though just in case~

how long have you been on tumblr? A long time, like maybe 10 years???? I really got into tumblr when I was in my early teens 'cause other social media (idek if I count tumblr as social media pffttt) just wasn't cutting it. I've been on like all sides of tumblr at this point like rpgs, chaotic mess blogs, book blogging etc. etc. But most of those blogs no longer exist. Only one of them kinda does and I've not been able to access it for literally years 'cause I canny get into the email it's attached too and my 100000000000 attempts to get tumblr to help me out with it (like I literally once asked them to just like shut it down if I couldn't access it but no luck there) has just never worked so... that's fun...

why did you start your blog in the first place? As much as tumblr can be a mess I do really like it as a platform for seeing great content for my interests so basically when the blog mentioned above was no longer accessible (it's so maddening too like I just can't remember the password and I can't set a new one 'cause it's an old email I also can't access?????) I decided to make this one anndddd for a while this was a similar like multifandom, anything goes blog, but then I divided up after a while.

why did you choose this profile picture? I wanted a profile picture that related to my url and in my head it was so cute 'cause I was going to have this whole colour scheme like SHINee themed and have a header and icon that matched and then after hours of trying to make all these things I got tired and was just like "yes this version will do" and there we have it~~~ Like I don't hate my icon (my girls with SHINee lightsticks, what's not to love???) but it's just not... edited well... at all ejhrgbejrge but sometimes there's a vision and sometimes you create it and other times you sail right past it and wonder how you lost yourself on this other thing but no longer have the patience to try again so you settle for where you ended up and that's my icon right there.

Introduction/Get to know Me!

Hello ya'll I'm Radish Dweeb, here's an intro to my kpop opinions. I currently stan 5 groups and am getting into one (txt). Here is a ranking of my 5 ult groups (Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Oneus, Dreamcatcher, Brown Eyed Girls) with my bias, favorite album, and favorite song.

5. Brown Eyed Girls

Oh my lord this group is just amazing, stage presence queens. I feel really bad for the kpop mold, the number of times beg has broken it is ridiculous.

Bias: Miryo possibly my favorite kpop rapper of all time. She just brings so much energy to every rap and has incredible flow. adjfaldjf amazing.

Favorite album: Sixth Sense. The grove in this album. Vendetta, Swing it Shorty, and the Sixth Sense are so good.

4. Dreamcatcher

I used to think girl groups in kpop just did cute concepts, boy was a wrong. The moment I heard the guitar riffts in Piri, I feel in love with this group.

Bias: Dami or Siyeon I can'd decide. Dami has the amazing rap delivery, but Siyeon has them beautiful high notes.

Favorite Album: Dystopia: the tree of language. This album is my favorite for the lamest reason, it's the longest!!! In every Dreamcatcher ep I always have one or two songs I just ADORE. (Wonderland, I Miss You, Silent Night, Sleep Walking ect;) but Dystopia has so many songs that just let me bask in Dreamcatcher. Black and White, In the Frozen, and Red Sun (the rapppppppp) are just great.

Favorite song: Piri. I actually first saw the music video to this song during a really hard time in my life, and it brought so much comfort to me. I was hooked within the first 2 seconds of the video. 3. Oneus

Stage masters with one of my favorite group dynamics and an increible concept to boot.

Bias: While Hwangwoon looks like water on stage and constantly overflows with confidence (he's my bias wrecker), I gotta give this one to Keonhee. His clear tones are amazing, and really stand out during ballads (Blue Sky is my favorite example of this). Also the guy is a goofball with amazing reactions.

Favorite album: Raise Us. We have Twilight, White Night (beautiful song), the meme that is English Girl, and my favorite song Now. Just amazing.

Favorite song: This is a cruel question I've given myself. While I can't say my favorite song, here are my top five favorites (not ordered)

1. Valkyrie: got me into Oneus. Amazing just amazing

2. White night: The "I can love you in the dark" has made me almost cry

3. Now: The chorus is a bop.

4. Blue Sky: Amazing ballad, the live version of this song made Keonhee my bias.

5. A Song Written Easily: In It's time is just a great single/ep (it also has Hide and Seek which is great)

2. Red Velvet

Welcome to the group that made my obsessed with kpop. It all started out with me watching Russian Roulette, and being shocked when I saw chick got pushed into an empty pool (rip Yeri). 5 watches later, I found Peakaboo, Red Flavor, and the gorgeous video that is Bad Boy (keep in mind this was my first girl crush music video, so I was blown away). The rest is history.

Bias: Wendy. She's just such a good person, there are compilations of her caring for members, comforting them, and even stopping in the middle of a sidewalk to put litter in the recycling bin. Wow, she is wholesome. Also, her voice is amazing. Her high note in Bing Bing, adlibs in Psycho (damn you SBS), and her voice in Cool Hot Sweet Love make me break out in a grin every time.

Favorite album: This is very difficult. My favorite comeback has to be Psycho (again, damn you SBS) with its stellar music video and the bside that is In and Out, but it only has 4 songs. I'm going to have to go with The Red for my favorite album. We get Oh Boy (Wendy's vocalsssssss ahhhhh), Red Dress, and Ladies Room which are all amazing. The variety in this album is just overall really great.

Favorite Song: Cool Hot Sweet Love. The climax of this song with the layered vocals of "we gotta cool cool cool, hot sweet love" is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've heard. ReVeluv for life.

1. MAMAMOO

How do I even start to describe this group. MAMAMOO holds a special place in my heart, and I am so lucky to be graced with their amazing vocals.

Bias: Okay MAMAMOO has my favorite kpop group dynamic of all time. They bring such a fun presence to their stages and are so relaxed with each other during variety shows. They feel like genuine friends and I love it. Unfortunately, my love of MAMAMOO makes it *very* hard for me to choose a bias. My current bias is Wheein. Her voice is the backbone of MAMAMOO and has this gorgeous healing aspect to it. She has also talked about her mental health and publicly supported the LGBT community (which I am a part of) while just being a great person. I also love love love Hwasa (queen), Moonbyul, and Solar, but Wheein is something special

Favorite album: This is very close between Melting and Yellow Flower. While Yellow Flower has my favorite solo song ever (Hwasa's solo Be Calm) and the bop that is Rude Boy, Melting is incredible. Everything from 1cm (the offical Wheein diss track), Friday Night, I Miss You, Cat Fight, and Just is pure gold.

Favorite song: While I do find Egotistic to be Mamamoo's best music video (Declomanie is a very close second) Just from Melting is my favorite song of theirs. Just has a really special place in my heart. The "I hate you" has legitimately made me cry. MAMAMOO is a group I stand with my entire being.

I also did a little bit of swim team, and I can swim all four strokes (free, back, breast, butterfly) but I mainly raced freestyle and butterfly!

I am literally the least picky eater you will ever meet. Take me to any restaurant and I wouldn’t complain. I also have a decently high tolerance for spicy things. The only food that I ever really tried and disliked is liver and the one thing that I probably wouldn’t ever try is something way out there like snail or scorpion lol

Wow Got7 was my first Kpop group ever. They will probably always be my number 1 💚 Ahgase for life you know.

I didn’t know you were a carat! I pretty much officially fell for SVT in the beginning of last year and it was one of my best decisions. Ot13 are all so unique and fun. GoSe is the most enjoyable variety show ever. And their songs are so good!

And I’m a major Staytiny. Like ATZ and SKZ are my favorite groups.

My ult boy group list is probably Got7, Strayteez (I can’t pick between them), then SVT.

My ult girl group is probably G-idle, Dreamcatcher, then Purple Kiss.

I have a lot of groups a casually (some more seriously at times then others) stan like Treasure, P1harmony, Enhypen, Onewe, Oneus, Monsta X, Nuest, The Boyz, TXT, Day6, Sf9, Ikon, Red Velvet, Ace, Mamamoo, and BtoB.

It’s so strange because Shinee has a special place in my heart even tho I don’t overly stan them. I met then through Kibum being in a tv show called Guardians. I have a lot of love for them but I always feel like a met them so late 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Okay so, BTS were my first group. Cliche, I know. I got into them in 2016, but I wasn't a proper stan. More like a casual listener, and it wasn't until my sister introduced my to GOT7 in 2018 that I actually got into KPop. Seventeen followed soon after, and they've been my ults ever since.

And yeah, I really really miss GOT7, and I just can't wait for their comeback. They have a special place in my heart, and I really love them still.

Yes I'm a carat! A massive one at that too, I've been here since just before Home Era, and they became my ultimate group almost instantly. They're just so different but work so well together, and heaven knows how much I missed China Line when they were gone😭😭I got to know that their new contract is for 5 years, and I couldn't have been happier.

Tbh, ATEEZ are almost one of my ults too, I just love their music and them so much. Hongjoong is one of my go-to people, along with Chan, Taehyun, and Seventeen. And SKZ are pretty much the same, been a STAY since I Am You, and I don't regret it one bit! But I'm biased towards TXT just a little bit more, I've stanned them since debut and they just make me so happy. Their music is right up my alley and I'm just- really close to them.

I am not too much into girl groups bc I've never been very interested. But I have to agree, (G)-IDLE are probably my ultimate too, and Soyeon is my female crush, I just love that woman so much. I sometimes listen to Twice and RV too. But other than that, not really. Oneus are just so amazing, their songs are absolute bangers. My sister introduced me to them, they used to be her favorite for a while before Enhypen came along. I also listen to Ab6ix quite frequently, and used to like WannaOne back when😅And I also often listen to CIX, bc their songs are just so beautiful.

oMg why is this a question. Lay is my ultimate bias, so of course I love his voice, I believe he is an amazing singer. However, Youngjae is respectfully the main vocalist of his group and also an incredible singer. Though I really love Yixing’s voice, I love Youngjae’s a little bit more. I think he’s very skilled and I love the sound of his voice.

Definitely Haechan. Sicheng is really funny in an adorable way and sometimes savage. But I’m gonna go with Donghyuck because if there’s anyone in nct who never fails to make me laugh, it’s him. He’s hilarious.

I’m pretty into guys, but Yeri got me feeling some type of way. Like I have the biggest girl crush on her? She’s pretty and funny and she holds a special place in my heart because I love her a lotttttt. I think I’d want to collab with Youngjae. Like I said, he has an incredible voice and I think it would be cool to collab with him.

BANGTAN SONYEONDAN AKA MEME SQUAD !!!!!!! honestly they just make me so beyond happy wow holly nobody ever says that about their favs ur original a LOOOT of music is centered around love these days and not to say bts doesn’t do that with a lot of their music but they also tackle a lot of societal issues and I really respect them for that. there’s no person in particular that really sticks out but I will say I’ve always admired jungkook, and really all trainees for that matter, who leave their families to start training really young because its a process thats hard physically, emotionally and mentally for late teen/early twenties trainees but there’s sO many kids who enter in their pre-teens and idk how they survive also I realized this doesn’t answer your question at all I'm sorry its 1:28 AM I’m just waiting for the DNA mv to drop

I’d absolutely love to be in the entertainment industry and I think the staging, costuming, group dynamics and publicity (variety shows, fan service/interations) in the kpop industry are all really cool but I honestly don't think I have the mental strength to do it lmao idols go through so much and I don’t think I could handle it regardless of how much I enjoy singing/dancing/performing etc.

8 what languages do you speak, and which do you want to learn?

english and some spanish??? I understand a lot because quite a bit of my family speaks it but my conversational skills have gone downhill recently because I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to practice :( with that said, I’d like to be fluent in spanish and - BEFORE YOU COME FOR ME READ IT ALL OK - I’d like to learn korean BECAUSE!!!!! when I was little before I moved I would go to a farmers market by my house and a lot of the older ladies there spoke korean and little holly though it sounded so pretty and I always wanted to chat w them ok THATS WHY I’m not a creepy koreaboo this has been a thing since before I even knew what a kpop was ok bye
