Doing a road trip from Vegas to all the Utah national parks and multiple state parks and national monuments next month. Anyone got any tips or any places I should check out? I probably have most of the open spaces saved but lesser known places are good to know and even more so I'll take some food recommendations or just general tips :)

We are renting a jeep so dirt roads are fine ❤️

Waterfalls @ Red Rock Canyon

There are some waterfalls and creeks at Red Rock Canyon, but photography wise...kinda’ gotta’ go after it rains or snowmelt or else you get a trickle. And, there’s been drought for the past who knows how many years. There’s another trail I need to tackle next time that involves some light rock climbing, apparently that waterfall/pond might be bigger.

I didn’t really bring gear to scale small rocks, but nonetheless it was super fun to go off the trail and go the wrong way, wondering why I had to scale rocks...then looking over to see other hikers take the easy way up a narrow dirt path LMAO...

Hey, it’s all about having fun and exploring. ALSO...fiction aside, there’s no freaking way Yvette and Vinca are waltzing around Red Rock Canyon in heels. There’s just no way...lol...

Vegas sunset

Lovestruck background vs actual Vegas sunset real photo. I remember in Yvette’s route, the writer described the sunset as pristine blue skies and I was confused cause the in-game background was pink/yellow/orange colors, but now that I’ve actually seen it...the Vegas sunset during this time of year does have a lot of blue.

I guess during different times of year you’ll get to see different sunset colors.

Earlier this month I got hired by my friends to guide and teach them how to trad climb and multipitch and it was such a rewarding time. I love getting women into the trad climbing world because it’s so male dominated! It was inspiring to see how strong they were mentally and physically. Felt really honored that they trusted me to teach them the skills to trad climb safely.

Ended the trip with one of the best boulders I’ve ever done. I LOVE “easy” climbing with some spice added as it creates a fun experience for me. I ended up running 3 laps on it just because it was so enjoyable to me
