Xmas Shaker Small simple shaker. As you guys know, I love to recycle so literally everything in here except for the wooden buttons and Washi, is an upcycle item. The background is made from packaging backing. I forgot to add the sentiment inside hence why the background is plain.. 🙈🙈🙈 The cover is a package container. Another plastic piece upcycled. I had this ancient role of red ribbon from my mom, I wrapped it around the plastic containers. The bow with the bell is upcycle from a gift packaging. I made it look like a parcel. I die cut the snow banks then added #distresscrayon broken China and stormy sky on the edges, to give a lil hue. Swiped a little glitter glue on the snowbank. All the embellishments are wooden buttons from my stash. I added glue and sprinkled glitter on the house top and tree and on the sash of the reindeer. I added the shaker inside. It's star shaped. I added the glitter white gold Washi tape for the glam.. .. There you go.. Xmas Shaker I know I know, it's too early but idea popped, so I had to... Everything was perfect except for the shaker, it started sticking to the sides. Sad.. Very sad 😣😣.. Then I thought, nah the story is it's blizzard. 😜.. U gotta create your own version of it 😂😂😂 Literally everything in here is upcycle except for the wooden buttons and the white cardstock. The background is made from packaging backing. I covered it with the blue paper, it's called knead paper. It's a difficult material but has a beautiful texture. The cover is a package container. Just a little note Supposed to be simple, turned out complicated. Another upcycle project. Background is made from various scrap paper. Since the colours were not coordinating much, I added an orange tissue type of paper. It gave that grundgy orangey feel. Used MOD podge. To deal the paper with the background. I had this idea for some time, I thought it's time to put use to it. It was tedious long process. I used the packaging container. Since it had the bits of paper at the edges, I had to gently scrub them with soap and metal scrub. Lightly until all the bits n pieces came off. I had like 5 pieces, the rest are soaking in water to soften the paper. Easier to remove it. It had the shape of a vase. I could go with paint or make it into a shaker 😊. So shaker it will be. Poured all the glitter and sequince from my stash in here. I should have added more 😜.. How much shaker do we add?? 🤔🤔🤔 I attached that plastic piece using soft gel medium. Took forever to stick.. Found some satin roses in my stash, all giveaway from friends. Found a lot of odd pieces of ribbon, strings and beads. Turned it into a bouquet. The cat is felt, from my stash. I Added the googly eyes and made the collar. It is made from scrap wire, rhinestone flower and and 2tiny bells (it jiggles) I added an orange envelope underneath using foam, then attached the sentiment to a white piece of paper and edced the sentiment a little with distress crayon, peeled paint. Added a little heart. Sentiment and heart is from #rosiesstudio clear foil sticker. Literally everything is upcycled except the cat and sentiment. Shaker - Smiles Scroll for the video. Very very simple card I have been so busy I haven't had time to post. Made this couple of days ago. The whole thing is made from @primamarketinginc #primamarketing Wax container packaging which I just bought. I just made it look fancier 😜. I unpackaged my wax gently, turned into a card. The container with the plastic is turned into shaker and I used this nice sequince which I found in the local @mrdiy2u. Loves the colours. So I made the background from scrap papers which I painted with Prima's #artalchemy Sparks mermaid sparkle, fairy wing and a little magical pond which fitted the sequince. I added #timholtz #alterations diamond die-cut which I painted it with metallique vintage gold and frozen berries. I had to play with my new paints 😜 I just randomly stamped. Added jut string. The bow was made from tulle and a lace flower. Added #rosiesstudio foil butterfly and sentiment. Mixedmedia Tag - Fascinated I'm in love with this one and I wanted it to have the magical feel. Do watch my Youtube video on how I made the the tag background using upcycle items. https://youtu.be/jCWDGU_DoD8 I used gauze for the texture.. Kinda stretched n made it thicker in some areas. The raised centre piece are old colour pencils. I think it belonged to my youngest brother when he was in school. Found it when I was going through old boxes in my hometown 😜 I tried it and it was so old and the lead kept breaking, so yes use it for my artwork. I sharpened both ends and adhered using @primamarketinginc #primamarketing #artbasics 3d matte gel transparent. I applied Prima's heavy gesso I handpainted all the details using Prima's @finnabair_studio #finnabair #artalchemy metallique midnight sky, dark forest, mermaid teal and #artextravagance Brass paste. I had the wooden flowers in my stash. All of them are painted with brass paste and a hint of mermaid teal. I adhered them to upcycle metal wires which was twirled and tinted with the brass paste. I added those shiny blue beads. It's from stash.. I think I had them for 2years now.. Also added some in the middle of the flower. It brought all the elements together. Mixedmedia Tags - She dreamed beautiful things, she was herself again. It's a very busy piece with a number of things in here. @imadeyouacar this is my version of the dream. Do watch my Youtube video on how I made the actual tag using upcycle items. https://youtu.be/jCWDGU_DoD8 The colours I used for this background was #dylusionsprays melted chocolate, pure sunshine, cut grass and fresh lime. I layered the tag with a wet gauze and a mesh ribbon. It soaked the colour from the background. I had the metal flowers and the corner frame in my stash, the flowers are made from 2different pieces which I assembled. I used #primamarketing #finnabair Brass paste and rubbed #tonicstudios #nuvomousse Mother of pearl on all of the metal pieces. The pearl string is part of a broken jewellery. I found a very old drop beads and added into the center of the flower. I added brown polyfoam and added #americancraft WOW glitter flakes Aqua which gave the bling. Sentiment is from #timholtz alteration clipping stickers. Mixedmedia Tag - Bright spark My last 2 cards was too sweet for me, I needed a tone change. So back to my grungy upcycled crafting.
