#in stars and time#isat#loop#isat loop#loop isat#josh art tag#this one was kinda challenging lol#first of all: loops face shape#2nd: the black of their body was the same as the lineart so i had to color the lineart purple by their hand#in order to make it visible#and finally i had to add a border to the rectangle in the background of the nombinary flag to make it more visible#i considered not including it but i did it with mirabelle and sif and i want all these 2 match so 🤷

messing around with lineart
#all the stuff ive been doing is like . boom done#bc this one brush i have is soooo good i can get some amazing line weight by just pressing down the tiniest bit#but i was using a diff brush and trying to be much more intentional here with the lines#it took longer than what im used to but produced a nice result i think#dave strider#homestuck#i forgot your belly button . im so sorry my boy#ALSOOOO ive found smn that realyhelps me with drawing hips#like. joinign the thigh to the hip itself#i just draw a 2d rectangle at the angle im tryna get the hips to face#it really helps me visualize the pose better#also im happy with how the folds on the clothes came out ^_^ i've been studying ..

Finally done with my version of The Universe's design!
#ariart#isat#isat spoilers#the creechur... btw the stuff written on their back veil are lyrics (chaos version) to fleeting words and beautiful song#they have a mouth. but itd be best for em not to use that. i like to think that the Universe communicates via telepathy#cuz if they use their own mouth itd be like an absolute order that cant be broken (like how wishes are granted via wish craft)#the rest of their body is meant like-- a tree trunk. cuz world tree and all that! also favour tree!#hollow stomach with a single floating star aaannd the lower part of the back veil is meant to be a butterfly when whole#yes those are two faces as well. drawing the lines for that nearly made me lose my mind a lil. the angle was painful...#it aint as obvious but the stars (egg and rectangle specifically) dangling on the front veil is morse code for i love you#also in a way the reason why i decided to make their middle pair of hands in that form is that inside their palm is the country#north of vaugarde. so its like theyre holding the country protectively. a star formed to keep anyone from lookin in!

Oh wow, I found a fantastic obsolete kana the other day! I guessed several different things I thought it might be but kept coming up wrong! Have a think about what it is (maybe have a little look through my obsolete kana tag if you like), and then click through to find out if you were right!
Because character input doesn't support the kana, the restaurant lists itself as お多幸, read Otakō. That's right, this is an obsolete た! That really surprised me......
I suppose I can feel the similarities in stroke order/writing motion, but still, wow! I really need to learn more kuzushiji. (I got an app, but I keep not doing it.) Anyway!
多 means many, much, or frequent. It's read おお.い, まさ.に, まさ.る, or タ. It happens to be the source of katakana タ, whereas hiragana た comes from 太.
幸 is new to this blog! It means happiness, blessing, or fortune. It can be read さいわ.い, さち, しあわ.せ, or コウ.
Finally, if you take the honorific お off お多幸, you do get a surname: Takō! Which belongs to about 10 people nationwide, making it Japan's 90,180th most common surname.

#adamandi#vincent aurelius lin#quincy cynthius martin#ambrose wellington bassford#portia elizabeth harper#beatrix valeria campbell#bit of nonsense bit of sillies (ohhh she thinks she's so funny huh.. anyways the brainrot. out out out)#please don't ask me about them take them at face value laugh and move on or smth i keep worrying i've read them Wrong#these have been living in my head rent free for a week and i'm now evicting them politely#anyway i drew all these as scribbles in my sketchbook in-between exam week and today i wanted them out of my head. so digital it is#i've spent two hours on this haha as a. would you even guess. a break from the beatrix thingy i've been planning because that one's rendery#quiet little notes on this... um.. i have started drawing quincy (idk how!!!)#yknow after the last ambrose literal study. i'm kind of mad about the fact that doing an unintentional study Worked???#like. he's the ONE character i have a grasp of how to draw. everyone else is 'randomly whack until you get the vibes and vague structural#integrity'. can we talk about shape language real quick though because ambrose is oval beatrix is circle quincy is rectangle#vincent is square and portia is triangle. that's how it is in my head.#texture wise. vincent is charcoal and graphite. ambrose is traditional painting blended. beatrix is crosshatching and ink.#quincy is like... marker? and watercolour. portia is digital and cell shading. i can't explain any of the correlations they just Are#for the. oddly detailed quincent i Wasn't intending to draw i had to pull up the musical and re-reference them. could draw one then not the#other?? so i struggled with quincy until i Got them and then i couldn't for the life of me get vincent right.... is it something about like#drawing one character at a time? like there's only room in my mind to understand one set of proportions at any given moment???#a fun little fact was just that i began photo refs as always from hahnji jang's page (which has been? saved in my search autofill now??) an#i didn't even have to get a specific image of quincy being in angst. but for smiling vincent i had to purposefully find oh ms reporter#well! consider this yet another part in the trying to figure out how everyone looks like/vibes as/gets drawn as Characters#a secret little code i keep for the stuff i make now is that i need to have something about the drawn medium that makes it unique to itself#as like opposed to a gif or screenshot or photoedit. it has to have extra meaning. and this appears two ways: one is through Implications i#the more Finished stuff. (aka poster series?) and the other one is by engaging in Ideas (generally posts. or memes/incorrect quotes/etc.)#had a really really interesting convo with a friend irl about fanart and fandoms. they were really active for genshin and stuff and so the#experiences between large and small fandoms were fascinating to compare.. i think i prefer the .. intimacy(?) of just doing what i obsess#over instead of looking for the statistics and clout and notes now. the art i make feels more meaningful and intentional that way.
