mizuki lying to rui compilation:

from mizuki’s initial 1 star, side story 2. while we don’t know exactly what was on her mind, “um, nothing? everything’s fine” isn’t exactly convincing. she lies to him in her 1 star.

mizuki’s secret distance 4 star, side story 2. mizuki plays completely dumb here, responding to absolutely none of what rui’s saying except the literal words. she DID want to talk to him at lunch, on the roof, like old times, but seeing him happy with wxs as contrasted to her memories of him miserable on the roof with her, she resigned herself to sleeping through lunch instead.

picnic episode 1. mizuki then physically leaves this conversation the second she has the slightest excuse. this is self explanatory, but i do just wanna say rui materializing the second she thinks about the rooftop is really funny. especially after the above.

rui’s picnic 3 star, side story 1. mizuki manages to lie to rui before saying a single word. rui regarding her like a skittish prey animal and himself a hunter who missed his shot. “alarm bells” insane framing for wanting your friend( in solitude) to open up to you if she’s suffering. i mean it’s mizuki so it’s apt but still. a little later here, without being able to truly grasp what if anything is wrong, the conclusion he seems to come to about the smile she puts on is that she didn’t want him to feel bad by worrying about her. there’s no way of knowing if this is true, but it seems mizuki-like enough (the line between not wanting to worry her friends because she doesn’t want them to feel sad unnecessarily and not wanting to be worried about because she doesn’t want to think about things and get hurt is blurry, if distinguishable at all.)

picnic episode 8. the second rui tries to probe for more information, on how she’s doing, on how her relationship to ena and her circle is going as compared to “i don’t know if i could call them friends just yet, but i have met some people” as said in kamifes, mizuki shuts down the conversation entirely. she gives him a non-answer and all but hangs up on him.

path of thorns, episode 5. this time, rui doesn’t play along with the charade that she’s fine. this time, mizuki doesn’t run away and drops the charade entirely. even when rui offers her an out later, “of course, if you don’t want to talk about it—” she doesn’t take it “—no… i want you to hear me out, or something.” cue monologues!!! emotional sincerity!!!! FRIENDSHIP!!!!! this shit’s crazy. i wept.

About Bill's Thoughts on Ford ("Even His Lies Are Lies")

So, this is bullshit. And if you're not already aware it's bullshit, I'm gonna tell you exactly why it's bullshit, with Receipts™!

Bill definitely saw Ford as a tool. No denying that. I can even believe that he sees him as a pet more than an equal to some extent. But to claim a tool and a pet are all he sees Ford as? He's 10000% lying. Whether to himself and the therapist or just the therapist, I'm not sure, but let's breakdown how we know he's lying about the extent of his feelings for Ford here.

Why would he want to make Ford a Henchmaniac? Why plan to keep him around after the portal is finished if he only wants him as a tool to build the portal?

2. Why give him 72 hours to turn the portal back on? He says it himself- "sentimentality". Convenient as they are, I don't usually get sentimental over hammers.

3. Why be more honest with him about his backstory than he was with his actual Henchmaniacs?

4. If he just wants Ford as an obedient human pet who "remembers to sit, stay, and roll over control of his entire life", why offer for Ford to join him during the Weirdmageddon arc, before needing his help with the barrier but after Ford had spent 30 years actively opposing Bill at every possible opportunity?

5. Of course, I'd be remiss not to mention it- if Ford is just a tool at worst and a pet at best, why would Bill get wasted and cry over him after the breakup?

How did this even happen????? What happened to being the "ultimate celebrity chef power couple"? Things were going so well. Well, let's rewind a bit to explore what delusions and a lack of self-introspection can do to a person. After Alex, Dulce had been chasing the high that she got in their relationship. Puppy love is short-lived, but damn does it feel powerful. That's the first love she experienced and she had nothing else to compare it to. She spent a while dating different people, but nothing really came out of that. Was she being a little picky...? Yeah maybe... Then, she met Caruso. Yes, he was arrogant and annoying, but he was fun. She loved the thrill of their little competition and the tension that came with it. Caruso was perfect for a hopeless romantic who is ambitious and gets bored easily. That's the thing, though. He was nothing more than a business partner that she could sleep with. She thought she loved him, but she only loved what he did for her and her career. The guy is good-looking, does anything he can to please her, has allowed her to travel, and is as driven as she is. This entire time, she has used him as an investment. Dulce fucked up big time.

Remaining kitties for the garden

Here are all the kitties who didn't make it to the website and their pet screens c:

^The regular kitties (The nothing option would make Error show up and just kinda glare at everybody lol and there would be mirror and paper bag options to see Dust and Horror again)

^The winter kitties (The snow option would bring out Blue and Dream, the christmas lights brought Fresh and the stocking was Ink)

^The special pairs (I don't think any of these made it to the polls lol but putting out a bed would bring Horror and Dust together, putting out a rainbow cushion would bring Color and Killer (this was how you would finally be able to pet him) and putting down comic books would bring Epic and Cross, who would finally purr when pet with his bestie)

One of my cosplay traits - which extends to home decor - is to insert little details for whom I am the primary (if not only) audience, but nonetheless (I hope) inject a sense of authenticity into my projects, if not necessarily that of screen-accuracy.

Today has been pretty rough for me. Luckily these little guys choose the perfect day to arrive <3

tl;dr Caleb is innocent until proven guilty + the game already told us who is responsible for the house explosion and it's not him

There's been a surge of popularity over the theory that Caleb himself staged the house explosion and it reminds me of how, for months and months, people kept accusing Rafayel of leaving MC to drown in chapter 7--despite MC immediately stating afterwards that it was Rafayel who was in danger, not her. And she also explicitly thanked him for saving her so that she didn't drown! But people still kept accusing him.

MC: "You're the idiot. The whirlpool was obviously a death trap, but you just swam right into it..."

MC, a few lines later: "Anyway, thanks... You were the one who pulled me out of the water, right? Thought I heard your voice before I blacked out..."

I'm excited to learn Caleb's POV of the house explosion incident, because it was his idea to return home and not to keep Grandma waiting! And it was MC who stated he should go inside, alone. They literally parted ways in the worst way: after an argument. Like what was going on in his head at that moment when he first felt the heat on his skin and knew MC was, blessedly, still outside?

Plus what would Caleb have to gain by killing Grandma except MC's hatred? Grandma was already dying!

And I point all of this out because the game already showed us who was responsible for the house explosion in the World Underneath, chapter 6 part 6 of Sealed in Dust: it was the rogue agents from Xavier's Backtrackers working for Ever Group!

Raincoat: "You silenced Josephine and retrieved the research material from back then. Good work."

The "You" here is to the Backtracker, the "hat-wearing man." And we know it is a Backtracker because Raincoat further says: "Your Prince Xavier has been glued to her side watching over her, right?"

And the Backtracker confirms his own association by saying: "Hmph, Xavier can only guard her for so long. He's too busy dealing with his own issues. Don't say I didn't warn you. It's not just Ever who wants her."

Plus the item exchange in this transaction is the research information taken from Grandma's house before the explosion and a drug to help the Backtracker survive longer on Earth. Ever Group, as we know, has a strong hand in the medical science.

Remember the Backtrackers are turning into Wanderers--Xavier already killed one of his men, Isaiah, and later straight-up murders another Backtracker who is in the process of turning (see below). Remember that MC on Philos was used as the fuel in the planetary machine that kept everyone and everything alive. Many of the Backtrackers want to sacrifice her again to save their lives! And Xavier tells them to back off. He's using his sword to make sure they back off. He knows his own people are a danger to her. (How tragic that he brought a danger with him on his expedition to save her...)

So in conclusion, Caleb is innocent until proven guilty, the game already told us the main people responsible for the explosion are Ever Group and the Backtracker rogue agents, and with all the trailers reminding us again and again, we really shouldn't be questioning that Caleb has only ever wanted to look after MC. Caleb wants to be with her! So you honestly can't have your LIs doing unforgivable things like murdering beloved Grandmas, like let's be real here.
