Hello everyone!

A follower of mine is doing a survey online and needs autistic participants:

The myth that autistic people don’t experience empathy is everywhere, and has persisted without any substantial research. In fact, the first study to investigate autism and empathy only occurred in 2002, and was a case study of only 2 people.

Our study aims to expand our knowledge of autism and empathy and disprove the myth that autistic people don’t experience empathy — and we need your help to do it. We’re looking for autistic adults currently living in the United States to take our short, 15 minute survey. We especially encourage autistic people who identify as women and/or as self diagnosed to take part, as both groups are chronically underrepresented in autism research.

The study is below:

Your contribution will play an incredibly important role in expanding the research community’s understanding of autism and empathy. Thank you for helping us as we seek to illuminate and appreciate the diverse experiences of empathy in the autistic community!

okay… i sat on this idea for a while now… but i guess it’s about time i officially start it..

as some of you know, i’ve been redrawing my first ever ishimondo art every year for the past two years. i like to do it because it marks another year of me being in the dangan fandom while also seeing how my art has changed and improved over time.

i wanted to do something special this year, and the couple times i’ve mentioned this, i had some people respond very positively. so here we go.

i’ve just always loved doing things that spark interaction and participation among the ishimondoblr community, and this annual redraw really set that in stone for me. so i thought i’d take it a step further and give you all the opportunity to see how your artistic lenses apply to this artwork.

da rules:

- there are no requirements to participate. this is open to anyone and everyone.

- you can change the original composition if you want, just keep mondo and kiyotaka as the main focus.

- you can always tag me if you post your submission, but i’d also prefer if people used “#nitepuffdtiys2024” to help me find it as well. please at least do one or the other so that i can find your art.

- if you prefer to, you can dm me your entry, but it’s not required by any means.

- one entry per person.

Donation For Demolition Victims In Karachi

Karachi did not have then means to house all migrants coming in post partition. Eventually, they housed themselves. The government provided them with electricity, gas, water lines, etc. Much of Karachi has been built this way. Mujahid Colony is one of these neighborhoods. People who live here have lived here since the creation of Pakistan. They populated this vacant area and brought commerce, housing, life here. Multigenerational homes, multiethnic mohallas. Now this land is valuable for luxury developers and greedy builders. They distort and exploit the corrupt nexus of land and governance stakeholders and have used police to raid these homes in the middle of the night and fire bullets on children, drag women without purdah from their homes, use tear gas and bulldozers to clear the way. Hospitals were told not to record the injuries or take in the injured. Many died from heart attacks and extreme stress as well. Suddenly homeless with all property destroyed, they had nowhere to go. Daily wage earners asked to pay lakhs in security deposits. They lost everything.

• Mujahid and Wahid Colony faced demolitions last year

• The rubble is still lying there

• The affectees have been living in the area since the Partition

• They built the neighborhood from scratch, and the government wants to displace them to Taiser Town, where no gas, electricity, and water lines exist

• They want to stay in their own neighborhood

• Affectees have legal documents of property ownership and paid bill records of decades

CHAPTER 8

They run a good few miles before Dean’s ankle gives out on him. 

He hunches against a rusted stop sign’s crooked post, panting. Cas, who hasn’t said a word since they left the camp behind in flames, stands silently beside him. 

“I’m good,” Dean huffs. “Just need a minute.” 

Cas kneels next to Dean, frowning down at him. “It’s dark. We should rest.” 

“Look, man, I can keep going—”

“No.” 

The sharp tone makes Dean lift his head. Cas is staring at him impassively, expression leaving no room for argument. “We passed a house a few yards back. Stay here while I scout it out.” 

Dean’s too tired to argue. He slides down the nearest tree trunk to sit on the damp grass, waving a hand. “Yeah, sure. Knock yourself out.” 

Cas nods before slipping away into the shadows. 

Wiping the sweat beading his forehead, Dean groans. His ankle is on fire. Any good Garth did for it has probably been reversed by the miles he’s just run. His stomach twists and horror slashes through him— shit , did Garth even get out in time before the fire ate up his trailer? Did Mildred? Dean feels sick at the thought of Mildred’s carefully planted garden going up in flames.

What are any of them going to do, without a home? The families, the kids, the dogs… they didn’t deserve any of that. Not their fault their leader was a power-hungry lunatic.
