PAC: Your January Forecast 🎇❄🦢

Sup y'all, I'm back for the very last PAC I'm gonna write for 2023. By the end of the weekend, we will have shifted to a whole new year, with a new moon close in tow. I'm gonna be honest, this has been a rough year for me, but not without its bright spots. Like the birth of this blog, for one! I'm already planning the 1 Year Special.

The plan is only to expand from here to see what more there is to do! There was a lot I wanted to do this year but didn't get around to doing because of life, so I have a lot lined up for January.

Hi, pile 1! Hope you're feeling alive and well for 2024. I kinda called this the "zombie pile" while drawing cause I'm getting this sluggish energy dragging along. Mumbling, creeping, hair disheveled. Goodness, this past year had you wiped out, didn't it? If you're feeling pressured for a resolution, I wouldn't, because for you I think simply sloughing off the old year like snake skin is your main priority for January. I'm hearing Usher's lyrics: "I feel like a zombie come back to life." Maybe you could treat this month like an extended New Year's Eve party. You can't force yourself to be excited for it, but you can slowly build up to it.

There is an emphasis on positive thinking with this pile. You have two Suns from different decks. Doing what brings you simple joy will be healing for you this month. Focusing on little joys can help you shift perspective. Being in the present is very important right now, and you're being asked not to think too much about last year as it will only drain you of further energy. You can't draw healing to yourself if you're spending all your Magic Points on looking backwards for answers. It it feels difficult to be positive, think outside the box at how you can move away from past thinking, like making a vision board for what you most desire to experience this year.

One of the real impressive things about your reading are the dice. You have Uranus, its natural house 11, and its sign Aquarius. Emphasis on CHANGE, much? You know how in movies, where the main character is falling into darkness and has relinquished all hope of being saved, and just as it fades to black someone swoops in to help them while casually laughing off "hah, yeah, I just happened to be in the neighborhood when I saw you falling into an infinite chasm, y'know?"

The word "Deus Ex Machina" is also popping up, or "god out of machine". It's a Latin term referring to an ancient Greek theater technique where a crane would lower an actor dressed as a deity onto the stage during the final act of a comedy, delivering sudden divine intervention and saving the day for the heroes. In other words, there is massive and very unexpected change for you, one that's gonna pull you out of the sluggish stupor of 2023. This is why resolutions aren't important for you now; whatever 2024 will be for you, it's coming in lightning hot and will do that for you.

And I think this change, however large and surprising, will be ultimately wonderful for you. There is so much sunlight emerging from this fog, new life will be breathed in for you by divine planning. It's going to help you work through some of the damage that last year left behind. It will also help you pivot to your next chapter in life. It may feel weird going into a new year with very little expectations, not knowing where you're going to end up next, but it'll be worth it. When the door swings open for you, it will BURST open, so stay on the bright side and focus on regenerating your health for now.

Pile 2 - White Swan

Hello, pile 2! This month will be a quiet one for you, in a good way. This will be a time of retreat for you. If you found yourself being rather social at the end of 2023, expect the new year to start off with a whimper. I see you going into a hermit mode and disengaging from regular activities, especially involving other people. I get the sense that this pile is the type to want to overextend and please everyone around them. If you need a resolution suggestion from me, it's to put the brakes on now before you careen over the edge. January is putting a halt to this behavior.

Yes, you are strong. No, you do not always need to be strong for everybody else. It will wear you thin to even try, and you may end up resentful over it. It's not worth the struggle. I'm not asking you to snap at anyone who comes too close, but consider not adding more of other peoples' errands to your schedule. Consider saying, "actually, I can't go today," without feeling the need to explain why. You have a right to your own personal space away from distractions now.

This pile could belong to a group of people or community that's close to you, which could be going through a lot of hell or has been in the past year. They may have asked a lot from you with few other options. It's made you have to stand up and advocate, at the cost of your own issues being put on the back burner. It is not selfish to walk away for a while and take care of yourself, doubly so if the group in question deals with a lot of arguing and gossip. If it feels bad, trust your gut and keep your distance for now. Don't try to solve big arguments while Mercury is retrograding.

I know how Pluto in the 12th house is, as it's prominent in my chart. Imagine walking downstairs to get to your basement, only for the stairs to never end until you find yourself floating in a weird little wonderland. Somewhere, in that surreal underground mindscape, is a deeply entrenched karmic pattern that may elude you at first. Some shadow work may be required here to dig through the trenches for unpolished gems. If a pesky pattern is repeating in your life, it's time to withdraw and connect to your dreams and subconscious for clues. This pattern may have something to do with this group.

You're actually going to get more progress done by meditating and seeking out nature rather than getting too involved with these issues. The time will come when things can be handled with a clearer mindset. But your higher self is pulling you inward to help ground you through this, to remind you that you are your own amazing being even when you're separate from these people. You have the strength to stand on your own, otherwise there wouldn't be so many folks seeking you out in need. Sapphire wants you to marry your heart with your mind. It's a stone of wisdom guided by compassionate understanding and care. You spin your wheels overthinking an issue, when instead coming back to your heartspace will provide the key.

What's going on, pile 3? Looks like somebody wants to enter hibernation mode, lol. I don't blame you one bit. As the full moon in Cancer has passed and the season changes, there's a strong desire to nestle into the home. Your house will be like your castle for you to improve during this month. You may feel up to redecorating or rearranging furniture to make it feel more cozy or season appropriate as you settle in. Or you may simply desire to clear out old things to decide what to keep.

You may want to do a spiritual cleansing of the house to ring in the New Year, too. Try infusing magic herbs like lemon verbena into your cleaning products, or toss cinnamon outside the front door while ringing a bell to invite prosperity in. A simple incense stick with a very fresh, mild scent like lavender can also do the trick. Does your family have a special trick or recipe they use? Whatever herb and scent combination brings out that "New Year New Me" feeling is best!

I heard loud and clearly, "YOU'RE PROTECTED!" for whomever needs to hear it most. Things might feel shaky and ungrounded at the moment. I wanna wrap a big blanket around y'all. You're being totally protected right now by your guides, so please don't let the uncertainties of 2024 leave your head dizzied. Yes, there's a lot of plans to be drawn out and a lot more work to be done, and you may not know where you're heading next, but perhaps there's a reason we like to begin the year at such a slow quiet time, after all the festivities have passed. It's not sound to start off in a rush.

You're being heavily affected by Sun in Capricorn doubled with the current Mercury retrograde, regardless of your chart placements. This is absolutely not a time for rash decision making, even if it feels you're not being your most productive. Our modern society doesn't like it when workers take a break or listen to their body's needs in any way. It will always have its excuses for its ruthless standards. After a while, though, you have to learn to shrug those expectations off and do what's right for you, or you'll risk burning out before the new year has even started.

Some of you might be thinking of even doing the Dry January trend as part of your resolution. If it's a serious issue, I'd talk to your doctor about how to do it sustainably. If you're already stressed and at risk of burnout, more pressure is not going to help. But a sober month could prove beneficial for you overall. This is not a command for you to have a Dry January if you're not interested; this message is for those who already plan on doing so. Try to take it one day at a time, keep your head free of self criticism, and don't guilt yourself over "cheat days". I will be doing one as well, so please reach out if you need a supporting voice.

heyya!! i'm the annon that asked about the reblogging fics etc. thank you for the elaboration. i have a question about the main events. in the events of this account, i can see 5 links that are posted at the moment. that is: the long break, the escapist etc.

are these the quarterly events you were talking about? if so, i was accepting there to only be 2 events so far since we're just about to hit halfway of 2024. i can see Deus Ex Machina was due last year. so does that mean all the events for this year are the other 4 themes?

Yes, those are the quarterly events that were mentioned in the previous ask. We divided the theming of the events into Solstice (the time when the Sun reaches its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere) and Equinox (a moment in time when the Sun crosses the Earth's equator, which is to say, appears directly above the equator, rather than north or south of the equator).

It is more known as the reason for the seasonal changes--summer, autumn, winter, and spring--but we decided to be more inclusive by not using a specific season for the event's name as the other hemisphere is experiencing the opposite season. It feels weird to do a Summer Event when you live in Australia that is experiencing Winter, right? Hence, why we themed it around the changes of the Earth around the Sun.

Actually, we have entered the second cycle of events as we started the quarterly event last year for the June 2023 Solstice. All the events linked on the page are official posts of previous events since last year and I have edited all of them to include the month and year of when each Solstice and Equinox events ended (which is around when the real Solstice/Equinox happened in real life).

The first cycle is from June 2023 to March 2024. So, our current cycle is currently rolling with Solstice: A Comeback Story! with the deadline of June 2024, to the other events coming soon following each Equinoxes and Solstice (September 2024, December 2024, March 2025). All of those events will be announced earlier through the circle's Discord server before it is being posted on the blog to entice new people to join in.

Remember guys, Rhov is the same dog that had ONE argument with Jahla despite having years from Asmundr to Home relation and later broke up with Jahla just to argue with Feaf who only know a few months, almost THREE TIMES ( 1, 2, 3 ) and immediately mate with Feaf in the broad public of the borders of Whispervale . At this point I see this as Karma cause Rhovanion hoped to evade parenthood JUST to deal with parenthood in the most nonsensical way possible.

Rhov waited seasons with Jahla and didn't want anything from Jahla’s end and neither did he. Which would’ve been a good show of relationships where people just don’t want or are not ready for kids yet and want to focus on the relationship and their careers as a team. People have done it where they plan and pre/advance plan.

But now we have this plot of a red flag/toxic situation where Rhov is now ready to deal with interspecies war, raising a hybrid, being a “good “ father with no indications of proof to a feline who knew for a month(s). Feaf and Rhovanion didn’t go through a crisis situation compared to Jahla; one went bittersweet and the other not so much.

PLUS integrate the child in a world who would report others just to raid them, But knowing kiq. It’ll be like Nordgard ( meteor tribe ) having a big army to be taken down by a small group by deus-ex-machina and making the opposing teams dumb down to make it possible.

If the Golden Lioness ( which is not golden, (I did a rework of the golden lioness on my tumblr blog ) nor does anything pertaining to what she does ) was seen as mischief good and not benevolent would not have this Red flag.

The Golden lioness didn’t come to Feaf in a dream nor showed up after Feaf questioning what she saw. If she did, Feaf can discuss with Nubia ( her mother ) and Rhovanion if they’re ready and what comes with being the ambassador under the Lioness for the Hybrid. The deer spirit did it with Rogio who has every right to deny him cause Rogio didn't follow the rules He doesn't even have the PIECE OF ANTLER that had been told. most have asked for permission or accepting the deal but somehow pregnancies there is none.

And How Feaf wanted cubs, how a feather is enough proof she wanted it when she practically and possibly doesn’t know the inclination and if Feaf knew WHY SHE DIDN’T TELL RHOVONION!!! she literally baby-trapped him into a relationship, ya know the same one who Gaslight Rhov three times for him wanting to be with Jahla. Rhov would not be happy about all this like AT ALL!!!.

What did she even mean that ‘ the Goddess had been fighting species coexist since the beginning ‘ ??!!! Instead of helping the Cats advance in immunity, language barrier, intellect/charisma, their physics or fertility or maybe even blending better in their environments?? No, instead she gave them bow and arrows ‘ death from afar ‘ to kill dogs faster which didn’t do anything and caused more separation between the species.

The golden Lioness didn’t protect her Forngrym people, WHO ARE ALSO FELINES and don’t excuse them of not doing prayers or interactions. Feaf didn't ask for kids and the Lioness literally just tricked her into having them.

and the only thing that comes out of Rhovanion’s mouth is that he’s ready, like that gives me a whiplash I don’t know to be shocked, appalled, disgusted or all of the above. He’s not showing any emotion except a smile, not even worrying about the whole process or conflict - just accepting it.

If he was ready, he would’ve been fine being with Jahla and having pups with her cause literally a wolf x Dog pup is just as heinous and a hybrid then a cat and dog. and knowing kique it’ll just be a copy + paste of Feaf or Jahla in species and/or design. cause if its not something easily traced he'll just used a pre-made variant or place rules/laws and then claim the ideal to be his own.

And Nubia has the audacity to state not to worry and are protected by family when we are shown Aedra would literally tear the planet apart for anything primitive, the slightest inconvenience, or not a Dog, Heck they would even Do it to their own kind as well with no hesitation.

Adding that Rhovanion didn’t even leave for 2-3 months to help Ronja he abandoned the journey as well as his step-Nieces(??) to lay around and fool around with Feaf??, must I remind ya Marduck just attacked the Rabishu and glow cats and demand adoration. Not something to lollygag around.

Also the capital is not one of bloodshed??? ‘ fighting with blood is not their style ‘ WTF !!!???? YOU'RE A BOUNTY HUNTER. THAT IS LITERALLY YOUR JOB. You just went to Southspear and killed dogs there and the Capitol approved a genocide to Forngrym, forcing them to the cold deserts of the mountains ( evidence 1, 2 ) . You don’t even disband or help those of tyrant leaders, you let MT cause havoc for almost 30+ years. You’re just as guilty not doing anything then doing something of bloodshed.

' Racism ' didn't even become prevalent until ghouls was forgotten, which they should not cause ghouls are still roaming around and are many cause many dogs died and animals died. If it was prevalent then it should've been done the moment meteor went after Zilas or Axi showing traits on Feaf. and vice versa on the cats of Shiverfall with Rhovanion.

You're fooling yourself to think that as well as to the audience for spewing such idiocrasy. But I forgot Nubia was the lioness that slept with two males that were also brothers that caused a decline in their bond that had her running in hiding in the Capitol.

This literally sounds like a dang Cult like legit a cult telling someone naïve and not knowing what they’re getting themselves into.

Ok! So finally page 869 have released. longest wait of my life because I really wanted to rant? or whatever about this page. There are just several things wrong with it. so starting off, Feaf's mother ends up visiting her and rhov at asmundr territory and feaf is telling her mother that oh she feels sick and has been getting these weird symptoms on and off. so then the mother tells feaf that she's probably pregnant. rohv and feaf are in shock (for like a mere second), anyways then her mother is like we you should put aside the differences of canine and felines and tells her it probably was the golden lioness because she's been fighting for their species for peaceful "coexistent". Again, in my honest opinion this whole species "racism" thing was like another 180 slapped into the comic, there was no indication in earlier pages that canines and felines were struggling to accept one another. since feaf was part of an all guild dog group minus herself being the only feline and cause Axi is the biggest ass. but maybe we could of given hints that she disliked feaf or something from the beginning or saw her as lower class compared to a dog. it would of at least shown the readers that "oh yeah these dogs are racists btw" because the main focus for the longest time was the ghouls and MT which for one the ghouls are pointless and are the most non threatening thing on aedra and but was so important too basically rent land to burn bodies on MT land when they also knew about their past brutal ways. but sat on their butts and shrugged shoulders about it. Moving on... so then feaf mother tells her that if she doesn't want to have the kids, she can take herbs to pretty much terminate the pregnancy. you can take that how you want since it's referring to abortion. and well, in my honest opinion I kinda wish she did take the herbs only because it would save injustice for her future kids but also rhov and feaf barely know each other. but kique is an idiot and no longer has purpose for rhov and forgot about going back to ronja. she then claims that she's "dreamed" of always wanting to start a family with rohv? like feaf what?? when? you two only officially hooked up together from gaslighting each other, then rhov chimes in and says it is a bit sudden (because it is) but says he's ready if she is. I wanna point out that feaf's mom reaction is so emotionless and she's just chill about like its been a common thing. but it's really not, if anything this is history in the making and the reactions are so poorly done by the entirety of the page. creating a potential new spices of hybrids. which spoiler alert, no hybrids, kique claimed and is so damn lazy. but the offspring will most likely be a mix of pups and cubs I guess apparently drawing hybrids will be too hard to trace off of or something. though if he willing to he could get creative with it, plus there was a cat mixed with dog hybrid back in asmundr shown or I think mentioned. he wont draw hybrids but is adding bears in his new comic, doesn't make sense too me but alright. another thing, you all remember when rogio went to the elk spirit to cure his pretend trauma?. I am mentioning this because she's her own spirit. but she gave rogio the opportunity to speak with her personally instead of just getting thrown into the void land or something. I dont what that was called. but if rogio was allowed to speak to him, why couldn't the golden lioness talk to feaf and i dont know ask her permission to impregante her? would of made her look less of an asshole. welp unfortunately this keeps getting worse as newer pages come out.

I’m just not that crazy about the triplets, but if you’re a triplet stan, you’ll be sure to have a blast with this one!

Translator’s note: This CD has been mentioned so many times to me as the elusive ‘Shuu works as a cashier’ CD and finally I got the chance to translate it! Up till now, only a short sample clip was circling the internet, but one of my wonderful followers purchased the CD and shared the audio with me. uwu Even though this CD doesn’t have a lot of my favorite (aside from Shuu), I still enjoyed it a lot! Ok I lied and am back

So I will post one more time here this year as I was asked about it on my coding blog and just direct them to here.  I was asked what I ACTUALLY DID back then and here is that list.

I DID go to a theme hunter blog and picked one of the themes they had reblogged to use as a template for Sequence’s original theme. I then proceeded to completely and utterly redo the entire theme. See, it was the first time I made an RP on tumblr and I figured I could do what you do on jcink. Take a theme (they call them skins there) and completely remake it basically just using the original as the ‘skeleton’ or framework as it were. I then transferred coding from the original Sequence RP which again was on jcink YEARS before any of these other RPs were even a twinkle in their creators’ eyes. Had to rewrite a lot of it as it wasn’t friendly with tumblr. I show the original theme for tumblr Sequence and the Jcink Sequence are almost a 1 for 1 recreation just changed a few things to fit a tumblr heavy aesthetic but with the flair of jcink coding design. Raven tried to claim I had stolen her theme and just put my graphics or something over it. But then later says I took a theme, removed the credit, and  then.... put it back later? Then later said I never did that, I did just in fact take her them. In truth, I hadn’t removed the credit. I had accidently merged it with the [pagination] coding. Once I noticed it and separated the two their credit which was in the top of the code for the theme itself all fancy and huge had again begun showing up on the main as well. The theme maker had been asked if It was their theme and they replied by saying it had their credit, the coding of one of their themes but looked completely and utterly different and they weren’t claiming it as their own theme. When I later spoke to the theme maker I explained what happened and they told me it was best I remove their credit anyway as it was no longer the theme they made and added a rule to not alter their themes to that extent for the future.

I DID create/transfer Sequence to tumblr out of spite. I HATED that such places like ALR and WOTNA could pull the crap they pulled on me and just get away scott free. So, I took my old RP which was a big hit on Jcink and brought it over. Took nearly a year to edit the theme and modernize the lore. I wanted to sprinkle in bits and pieces from not only the inFAMOUS series, but Mega Man, Deus Ex, and Mirror’s Edge. All to add flavor to my already established but admittedly old (and thus I was kind of tired of it) world. I also took the tried old troupe of ‘mega evil company vs rebels against it’ that ALL original abilities RPs were using back then and made it morally grey. There was no clear ‘bad’ or ‘good guys’ All factions save the ‘neutral everyday people’ one took actions and had motivations that were good and bad. It was a mix of ‘good and evil is how you choose to see it’ and ‘does the ends justify the means?’ Although I can no longer remember the exact quote. One from Xenosaga that basically says there is no good or evil just shades of grey and it is humans that made up the very concepts of good or evil. Also inspired that choice. Apparently, this troupe no matter how I altered it was a ‘stolen unique and essential part’ of a couple of those other RPs.

I DID use the word ‘jihad’ when explaining Raven’s assault against my, my RP and my members. As they attacked me with the furiousness of a person that was as crazed and fanatical as a religious zealot. As I understood the word, it was used as a word for religious wars in the middle east. If I was wrong back then I apologize for using it. However, I don’t know how that instantly branded me a racist by Raven. Or how, that then got twisted into apparently having a run in with a muslim RP I denied instead then, made a racist rant about on the main, then harassed for days. Although, there was ZERO evidence of this anywhere, no person turned up claiming this, it wasn’t anywhere in the main EVER, and the only screen shot of anything which was quickly buried was when I said ‘raven needs to stop her jihad against me’ so..... yeah..... crazy people going to crazy and make shit up I guess.

I DID employ someone named Sam as my co-admin. In my defense, Sam was only ever nice to me, I only had great threads and some chats with Sam during the brief time our paths crossed on WOTNA. I had absolutely no idea the drama this person had made while there, what they were spreading after leaving, or that they would use their position as my co-admin to taunt and attack WOTNA. This person used mads mikkelsen exculsively and had drama with what appeared as half the WOTNA member base. As well as storylines of SA, and other dark topics. She also heavily trolled that RP after she left it, during her time on mine, and when they let her return as the admin said something that pissed her off and she was going to ‘burn that place to the fucking ground.’ After learning of this, I cut ties with her completely.

I DID have a past with Raven. After leaving WOTNA and recovering. I found Elswood and attempted to join it. Long story short. I was denied multiple times because and I quote ‘you used a comma where you should have used a semicolon.’ Checking with my advanced LIT teacher and her confirming the comma was the write choice, I could tell where that was going. Raven ultimately denied my app a couple of more times for similar ‘incorrect’ minor grammar uses (they were correct though). However, she then permitted a friend to make a character with  my same face claim, same power, same back story, same personality, and even the same app. The only differences were if I had a line like ‘Having grown up in New York City’ their EXACT SAME LINE IN THE APP would read ‘New York City had been where he was born and raised.’ I got pissed and little kid me blasted her as a grammar nazi and letting a friend steal my character. Thought it went unheard... clearly it had not.

I DID have an affiliations page at one point. I know this was a ‘rumor’ as raven reported it like two days after I made it but it got quickly deleted and spun I only made it to get any kind of ‘any publicity is good publicity’ way. Truth is, I had one, and I had reached out to five or six RPs at the time. Three of them had confirmed they would be adding my button and I was on like 4 or 5 of those RPs. However, I received messages from them stating that multiple people had begun to harass them. The messages at first ‘warned them’ of me but when they didn’t reply, they turned ugly. Feeling bad that I had made Raven and her minions attack these groups. I told them to remove my button or link from their affiliations and make a statement that they weren’t affiliated with me. I’d leave the groups if they wanted me to as well as I know they’ll harass them even harder if they found out I was on them. All but two groups decided to do that #yourockgrimstonelake I can’t really remember the other group.

I DID attempt self deletion because of all this. First when I left WOTNA because the stuff they were doing and saying hit a spot that my own father always beat on since I was a kid. The whole ‘you’re a failure, no one likes you, you’ll always fail without me.’ type spot. I couldn’t handle it, I stopped taking my medication, I stopped eating, drinking, and it got bad. It again happened a couple of weeks after Raven’s assault of Sequence. This was an RP that I spent a near year rebuilding for tumblr with plans to release pages, themes, and other codes for people to use signify them as a member. Plans to open a coding help blog where I would both produce my own themes and pages as well as help with those that the makers long abandoned that people still wanted to use but needed fixes or modern updates for. Ultimately, it got to me and I more actively and now have scars from the attempt, tried to self delete. I had to make my friend Jake who I had convinced to move from jcink to tumblr cover as me for a while. All the time these sick psychopaths spread their lies and made up more about me, laughed at me, and were actually sending messages to self delete. Of course, apparently, that was fine and is a part of this story people to this day ignore and some, even feel justified in pushing me to that point.

I like to draw and make OCs, and my husband and I are collaborating on a Deus Ex fanfiction. (To replace Children Unchained lmao.) It's currently untitled, but the working title we have for it is Deus Ex: The Eden Deception. Deus Ex: The Eden Deception

The world has turned upside down after the destruction of Panchea and the Aug Incident. Anti-Aug sentiments run high, with violent hate crimes on the rise. Adam Jensen does his best to shoulder the burden and make things right with the world, but it seems like an impossible task, especially alone...

The Juggernaut Collective is working against the Illuminati in the shadows, and Adam helps their cause by doing the (often illegal and violent) things no one else will do. Janus, a mysterious higher-up in the Collective, has been giving Adam "tips" on his missions, but something is off to Adam. Janus seems to know a little too much about the movement of the Illuminati.

Agent Coyote - Leona Delarosa - has her own doubts about Janus, despite being a biohacker in the Collective. After her mother's brutal and mysterious death was ruled a suicide, Leona has her own doubts about what lengths Janus will go to in order to secure their goals.

Bound together by mutual distrust of Janus and a desire to right the wrongs of the world, Adam and Leona set out to get answers that they seek. What they find will change their worlds forever - but are they ready to face truths long since lost? After all, everything is buried for a reason...

Since I completed Ziost again, I’ve been thinking about its writing. I know KotXX gets grief, but at the same time Ziost leaves us with an incorporeal, planet-gobbling emperor. How the hell do you fight that? Lana and Theron both have their failings on Ziost but there really nothing they can do to stop the enemy. Everything is in vain, which does give Ziost its sorrow and desperation….….

but it also offers no way out. There is no other solution beyond a deus ex machina such as the Eternal Empire. Yes, Lana screws up by letting an agent of Saresh climb to her side. Yes, Theron gambles on a black op that totally wouldn’t have been greenlit. But… they fail because the enemy is undefeatable.  It does not matter how competent or incompetent Lana or Theron are.  Ziost was dead the second the Emperor left Yavin, and the storyline failed to give any solution other than Revan’s idea to make the guy manifest.  No breadcrumbs no theories, no tech, nothing.  We just get left with Lana and Theron trying to stick it out (or being pressured to resign by the player). 

How could anyone predict or combat an entirely mind controlled planet? The people who resist are highly trained, disciplined, or damn lucky; there’s no way to predict who the Emperor could or could not control. Does this make Ziost’s feelings that much more Intense and powerful?

Yes, but now the Emperor is as OP as the player is with the Eternal Fleet. It’s the same dead end, just on the end boss, not the player.  The one positive thing I would say about Ziost and the planet eating emperor is that it made us feel something.  Unless you were into Theron, Nathema probably didn’t hit the same buttons for you (and I say this as a Theron fangirl).  Still, a dead end is a dead end, regardless of the feels.  I wish the SWTOR writers hadn’t written themselves in a corner -- multiple times.

25 ATC/3628 BBY:  Alliance Commander  Captain Eva Corolastor in evening wear and her husband Theron Shan in his formal Republic SIS uniform for her coronation (sorry, Lana) the two-year anniversary celebration of the liberation of the galaxy from the Eternal Empire.

Ever since @commanderlurker gave me the “why are you blushing” prompt, the idea that SIS has a dress uniform (and Theron kept his) has taken up residence.  This is eventually going to be a short chaptered fic, and I have a couple of bits written, but when the opportunity came up to commission @caffeinatedrogue.... I got impatient.  :D  Couldn’t pass it up.

Based on the ‘tumblr users are burned out gifted students’ trope, Bastila is CLEARLY the tumblr user on the Ebon Hawk, but only after she got fed up arguing with (wrong) people on Twitter.  (She still argues with people on Twitter, but on a new handle.) 

Mission is on Tiktok and Youtube, doing urban exploration and makeover videos.  Somehow, Zaalbar stars in both.

Juhani is on Instagram.  She likes the filters and captioning system.  She makes it a point to tag the Jedi Council on everything, with lots of emojis.  That said, she has a secret tumblr where she obsesses over Bastila’s posts and vents her angst and frustration about her gender identity, sexuality, status as an alien minority, and injustices in the Republic. 

Canderous is on Tindr, Grindr, Fetlife, Ashley Madison, Hinge... the list goes on.  He has the general attitude of  ~unzips~ “There’s your content!” .

Jolee Bindo is on Facebook, and every person he’s ever met is his friend.He reposts low-quality memes that make him laugh.  He semi-regularly writes massive storytime posts that seem to be one very elaborate run-on sentence.  He has no idea how to tag anyone or how to make anything “friends only”.  He also has a MySpace account from ‘back in the day.’

Carth is on LinkedIn.  He checks it once every six months, if that.  He seriously doesn’t get any of this. He changed his profile picture for the first time since Dustil was born and was utterly bewildered by the excessive amount of likes and comments.

Ok, for those not clued into US politics or not watching the news right now, Trump got raided by the FBI.   You’re gonna love why. 

It is a felony to take historical documentation and paperwork from the White House.  There are specific rules/guidelines, but most of the stuff from each administration goes to the National Archive, including and especially classified docs.

So, it’s not January 6.  It’s not the tax evasion.  It’s not the money laundering.

It’s because he stole history from the nerds in the National Archives that the FBI raided his house. 

Since we’re all loving on our favorite archaeologist/historian this week, an appropriate comparison:  This is like Talos Drellik bringing down the Empire because someone on the Dark Council took some holocron off planet.

Fate and Phantasms #59: Jeanne d’Arc

Today on Fate and Phantasms, we’re finally finishing up the original roster of servants with The Maiden of Orleans, Jeanne d’Arc! As you might expect from the holy maiden, Jeanne is 100% a Cleric, protecting her soldiers as she leads the charge.

I’d also like to thank everyone who likes or reblogs these posts; I thought this would be a really niche topic, but this blog now has more followers than my main! We’ve still got plenty of servants to go after this, so I hope you’ll continue to enjoy them.

Race and Background

Like most servants, Jeanne’s a Human. Rather, she’s a bundle of magical energy roughly based on the impact a human made on history, but that’s a mouthful, and also not a race, so we’ll stick with Human. This gives her +1 to all stats.

Jeanne’s your typical Folk Hero; came from humble beginnings, achieved great things through sheer determination, and died a fiery death at the hands of those she saved. That last part’s not typical, but it’s also not part of a person’s background. Being a folk hero gives you proficiency with Animal Handling and Survival. You grew up on a farm, so that’s not too wild.

Stats

You receive visions from a higher power, and know other servants’ True Names on sight. That’s pretty wise, so your Wisdom has to be pretty high. Despite having zero formal education, you can argue theology with the best of them through sheer conviction- that’s Charisma. Third is Constitution; you have a martyr complex, so it helps to have some health in the first place before you go throwing it away to save others. Fourth is Dexterity, because it’s just more helpful here. Your Strength isn’t great. I know canon Jeanne can fold street lamps like pretzels, but sacrifices had to be made somewhere. Finally, dump Intelligence. Remember that “zero formal education” thing from earlier? Yeah.

Class Levels

1. Being a Cleric is a given, but being a catholic complicated our choice of domain a bit. Since you’re a monotheist, God falls under every domain, but your personal power set fits best in the Protection domain from an Unearthed Arcana. First level clerics get Spells, which they cast and prepare using their Wisdom. Protection clerics also get a Shield of the Faithful, letting them react to stick a shield or arm between an attacking creature and their target within 5′ of you. This makes the target harder to hit, imposing disadvantage on the attack.

You also have proficiency in Wisdom and Charisma saves, as well as two cleric skills. You’re a part of History, and I’m sure God’ll fill in any blanks you need to know. Religion is an option, but you’re not educated, just really persistent. That’s Persuasion. 

For cantrips, Light will help your dumb human eyes see in the dark and make your flag all glowy for your noble phantasms. Mending will help keep the soldiers’ uniforms in one piece while on campaign, and Spare the Dying will help keep the soldiers in one piece while on campaign.

Clerics prepare their spells, so your exact spell list isn’t a part of character creation, but I’ll still go over some to keep in mind. Compelled Duel and Protection from Evil and Good are part of your domain spell list, so you get them for free. The former can keep your squishier teammates safe by forcing an enemy to target you, while the latter can keep a key member safe from aberrations, celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead. Given the number of golems you end up fighting most events, this is a good spell to keep on hand. Some other spells to keep in mind are Bless and Shield of Faith for combat support, and Healing Word to keep everyone on their feet.

Finally, the question of what weapons to use. The closest thing to a flagpole on the simple weapon list would probably be a Spear, used two-handed. However, your strength isn’t going to be great; you’ll mostly be using this to wave your banner around. You should also keep a Dagger on hand as well. I’d prefer a shortsword, but a dagger’s is the only simple finesse weapon, so it’s what we have to put up with.

2. At second level you can Channel Divinity once per short rest. As a protection cleric, you have two options to pick from.

Turn Undead forces a wisdom save on undead within 30′ of you or they have to run away for a minute or until it takes damage.

Radiant Defense channels holy energy into an ally within 30′ of you as an action. The first time they take damage in the next minute, that energy is released on the attacker, dealing 2d10+your level in radiant damage.

3. Third level clerics get second level spells, including your domain spells Aid and Protection from Poison. The former increases three creatures’ HP totals by five for eight hours, while the latter does exactly what the name describes. Some other spells to look at include Prayer of Healing for when you can’t quite take a short rest, Lesser Restoration for disease and conditions, and Augury to start getting some divine visions.

4. Use your first ASI to become a Heavy Armor Master. This reduces all nonmagical slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing damage by 3 while wearing heavy armor.  Calling what you wear “heavy” armor is a bit generous, but you’re throwing yourself in front of the enemy with d8s for hit dice, you can be a bit generous with yourself.

You also get another cantrip this level. Resistance adds a d4 to an ally’s saving throw, for when you need to be sure Spartacus doesn’t get charmed.

5. At fifth level, your Turn Undead transforms into Destroy Undead. Now when undead of CR 1/2 or lower fail the save, they just die instantly. 

You also get third level spells, including domain spells Protection from Energy and Slow. Sometimes an idiot lizard is throwing fire all over the place and you just don’t want to deal with it, and sometimes the DM gives you a maralith with seven extra attacks. These spells help protect the party from those situations. Some other spells to check out are Aura of Vitality for health regeneration, Beacon of Hope to give your party something to rally around, Daylight for the aesthetic, and Mass Healing Word for when your whole party plays barbarians.

6. You can now Channel Divinity twice between rests, and you are a Blessed Healer. Rather than just healing Brian Blessed, this means that whenever you cast a spell to heal someone else, you also gain life; 2+ the spell’s level, to be exact.

7. Seventh level clerics get fourth level spells. Your domain spells are Guardian of Faith and Otiluke’s Resilient Sphere. The former isn’t that in-character for you, but the latter gives a creature Invincibility at the cost of trapping them inside a hamster ball. Another spell to look over is Divination to ask the big man a question that burning you up inside.

8. Use your next ASI to become an Inspiring Leader. Give the party a 10 minute speech to give them temporary hit points equal to your level + your charisma modifier. You may not know anything about tactics, military history, who you’re fighting, or why you’re fighting, but you’ve got heart, dammit! And that counts for something! 

Also, your Destroy Undead kills at CR 1, and you gain a Divine Strike. Once per turn, you can add 1d8 Radiant damage to an attack for some extra holy favor.

9. Ninth level clerics get fifth level spells, including your final domain spells Antilife Shell and Wall of Force. The former can protect you from other creatures, so long as they aren’t forced through the barrier. The latter creates a solid wall between your party and danger, and is likely the closest you’ll get to invincibility at this level. For other spells, Dawn creates a cylinder of radiant damage you can move around the battlefield, and Mass Cure Wounds cures massive amounts of wounds.

10. You learn to call upon Divine Intervention. You use your action to beg the DM for a literal Deus Ex Machina, and roll percentile dice. If you roll lower than your level, you get some help. You can use this feature once per long rest, but if you succeed you have to wait a week before you use it again.

You also get another cantrip. Guidance lets you back seat game with the help of God, giving a creature a d4 it can add to one ability check.

11. Your Destroy Undead cranks up to killing anything CR 2 or lower, and you can prepare 6th level spells. Find the Path is another form of your Revelation skill, letting you find the most direct route to a chosen location, as long as that location stays in one place on the same plane. You could also check out Heal for, you guessed it, more healing.

12. Use your next ASI to become a leader on the battlefield with Tandem Tactician. Now you can Help as a bonus action with a range of 10 feet, and you can help on two attacks if they’re aimed at the same enemy. You’re not that accurate, so why not help out the who are?

13. Thirteenth level clerics get a Divine Strike Improvement, adding an extra d8 of radiant damage when you use it. You also learn seventh level spells! Divine Word can cripple weakened enemies, and more importantly it forces extraplanar creatures back to their own world for 24 hours. Regenerate is even more healing that you won’t have to pay attention to.

14. Your Destroy Undead increases to affect CR 3 undead. Now Mummies and Wights will tremble before your might! ...Isn’t it weird how the other Channel Divinity option doesn’t get any stronger?

15. Fifteenth level clerics get eighth level spells. Holy Aura will protect your party from anything Wall of Force won’t, Antimagic Field will give you a command spell to counteract most of the nonsense the other servants might be using.

16. Use your ASI to bump up your Wisdom for stronger spell saves.

17. Your Destroy Undead now destroys undead of CR 4 or lower, letting you instantly banish any ghost that comes your way. You also gain an Indomitable Defense. At the end of short or long rests, you can resist two types of damage from the following: Bludgeoning, Necrotic, Piercing, Radiant, and Slashing. You can also use your action to pass these resistances to another creature, who’ll hold onto them until your next rest or until you spend a bonus action to take them back.

Finally, you get 9th level spells! Mass Heal and Power Word: Heal will maximize your healing powers to help the rest of your party stay not dead.

18. You can now Channel Divinity three times per short rest.

19. Use your last ASI to round up your Dexterity for more accuracy and better saves and Charisma for more rousing speeches.

20. At your capstone level, your Divine Intervention Improvement means your calls for some holy help are always successful.

Pros:

You can set up a very strong Defense, shutting down and blocking out enemy attacks and spells. You can impose disadvantage, physically block their advance, counter any magic within 30′ of you, or make their attacks blow up in their face with some Radiant Defense.

Whatever damage does go through won’t be a problem thanks to all your Healing, keeping the rest of the party on their feet until the battle’s won.

Intelligence might be your dump stat, but you’ve got a hotline to the one who knows all, so it’s not a big deal. Spells like Divination and Find the Path will help keep the party pointed in the right direction.

Cons: 

You can’t really do all that much on your own, offensively speaking. Your highest attacking stat is a 14, and that will only help you swing a dagger around.

Your physical stats aren’t that good in general. 143 HP isn’t bad for a caster, but you want to be on the front lines, so it could be an issue. Aid is a great way to cover this weakness, but that does mean you’ll be spending spells to do so. Your low strength also means you’re stuck with the weakest heavy armor available, so your AC isn’t amazing.

You don’t need to worry about getting hit if the enemy has to shoot through a wall though, so stay on the defensive and pray your allies will take up arms with you.

Okay so. Long rant/rambling about TRoS. Spoilers below, you’ve been warned. Posting this on a side blog and reblogging it so it won’t be “uncut” on mobile dashes.

The first... Fifteen minutes of ROS was... Too fast. There was a LOT going on that had no explanation.

Light speed skipping. That made no sense and was a little over the top. An icy outpost with contacts with no names getting information through unmentioned communication lines. Conversation with this Unnamed character that insinuated he was important, especially since we later see his HEAD in Kylo's grasp. Or was it a Knight of Ren, idk bc things went that fast.

LOVED the interaction between Rey Finn and Poe. They argued like a married trio though the whole movie and it was amazing. There was also a LOT of jealousy from Poe every time Finn tried mentioning his feelings for Rey. (Seriously, Poe was more concerned about cosmetic damage to BB8 than he was about the Falcon LITERALLY BEING ON FIRE and I just. Oh, Poe.) The group hug at the end just sealed the OT3 for me, end of story.

There was Force healing and I was excited to see that. Then... It got overused to the point of being a deus ex machina.

The Unknown Regions were mentioned and the path to the Sith world was full of solar storms and black holes and electrical flares and there was no mention of how canonly, that path was mapped by Thrawn, but OKAY,THAT'S FINE.

I was honestly scared to death when Hux was all "I'm the mole," because I was afraid they were making him run like a coward, but no, thankfully, he was being a Petty shit trying to sabotage Ren which is so ic for him.

His death, just a point blank, off handed shot to the chest and him sprawling on the deck of the Finaliser and being completely shrugged off was.... Disappointing. Very disappointing. His character had been played up as this ruthless, cruel and calculating battle tactician and he was made a joke in tlj and RoS. He was a fascist asshole and despite what people say, it wasn't Kylo who destroyed worlds and killed all those people, it was Hux, and it completely undermined how dangerous people like him ARE and I felt his death should have had more substance to address what he'd done and who he was.  

He's a villain, a war criminal, and he should have had more weight, been held accountable, idk, it was just utterly dismissive and HONESTLY I feel bad for Domnhall. Now I know why he didn't want to do any press at all about RoS. You could tell he really enjoyed playing Hux in TFA and I bet that kind of stung.

ANYWAY.

Leia’s death just... it felt detached? There was little to no build up to her death, and then she was just... gone. It didn’t really affect me until I saw Chewie’s reaction, and then it felt like I’d been punched in the GUT and couldn’t breathe for a hot minute.

Was REALLY amused Rey just took Kylo’s ship and bailed. “Thanks for the battle, taking your shit and leaving you here.”

When I heard Han say “Hey kid,” I felt my heart break a little bit, and that moment of Kylo saying the same line to Han- and ACTUALLY THROWING HIS SABER AWAY....

Which brings me to Daisy and Adam’s acting????? JUST?????

The DIFFERENCE in their faces when playing Rey Palpatine/Kylo Ren, and Just Rey/Ben Solo was INCREDIBLE. Their posture, their expressions, the set of their faces, the way they held themselves, was AMAZING. Daisy’s face went so HARD and COLD like a diamond, and Adam’s went so SOFT and OPEN and it was INCREDIBLE, AUGH

I am mad Rose was sidegated. Mad that there wasn’t more to Jannah. Mad that there wasn’t more of the Ghost or even a VOICE cameo of Hera.

LUKE LIFTING THE XWING OUT OF THE WATER MADE ME CRY.

I AM SO MAD AND UPSET OVER SNAP’S DEATH. WEDGE WAS THERE, MY FLYBOY WAS THERE AND HE HEARD HIS STEPSON DIE OVER THE COMMS AND I CANNOT FATHOM WHAT THAT MUST HAVE DONE TO HIM AND I AM STILL UPSET OVER IT.

Force Sensitive Finn. I love it, I knew it, so happy it’s canon, now I need a million fics of Rey helping him train and building a lightsaber with him.

I am not even touching the fuckery that was Sheev having a secret love child because the connotations are not pleasant.

I don’t understand why he didn’t possess Rey after she killed him, maybe it was because she had a Mass Cameo Moment with All the Jedi and reflected his lightning back him and made his powers Null and Void?

The lightning was cool af, even if it was More Extra than Necessary.

The Snoke Jar didn’t explain what Snoke was, who the template was- was it Sheev? Was it a random person? Hell, it could have been Ezra for all we know. It also didn’t explain why he was so easy for Kylo to kill.

Also, how did Hux keep hiding shit from Kylo? How did Kylo hide his plans from Sheev? Why is it the mind reading is very situational? I get Kylo maybe being able to shield his thoughts, but Hux? For three movies straight? And only his Petty Ass Behaviour getting him caught by Pryde and not Kylo? JJ/RIAN EXPLAIN.

The Star Destroyers/Sith Destroyers were pornographic. I said it. The scene with the fleet rising gave me a boner, y’all know I have a Thing for Star Destroyers, and there was a whole gorram ATMOSPHERE FULL OF THEM.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO A HAPPY POINT.

FINALLY. FINALLY. SHIP PHYSICS WERE ACCOUNTED FOR IN THIS MOVIE.

Ren brings the Finaliser into atmo and there are effects felt on the ground from the ship. The Falcon gets too close to the Finaliser and it affects the troopers in the hangar bay.

THE STAR DESTROYERS WERE AFFECTED BY BEING IN ATMO AND NEEDED TIME TO BRING UP THEIR SHIELDS.

I SORT of was all “...what” at their lack of navigation, but THEN AGAIN- when your viewport is full of nothing but the ships above, beside, in front and behind you, yeah, you need some synchronised navigation going on from a command ship.

(Am I STILL mad about the Star Destroyer above a city having no effect, but a Lambda taking off shot people all over the walkways in Rogue One? YES, YES I AM, ROGUE ONE SAID “FUCK SHIP PHYSICS, WE DO WHAT WE WANT, INCLUDING JUMPING TO HYPERSPACE WHILE STILL IN ATMO, LET ALONE THE GRAV SHADOW OF A PLANET” AUGH FUCK YOU)

The line “That’s not a Navy, that’s people.” So good. So. GOOD.

The scene with The Not Navy- GOOD. SO GOOD. (Though it’s like... how did Lando get ALL THOSE PEOPLE when LEIA didn’t?? RUDE)

The Rey/Ben(Kylo? I think he was Ben at this point?) kiss was uh. I didn’t like it. And not because I don’t ship Reylo? (Because I HONESTLY do NOT mind Rey/Ben Solo- it’s Rey/Kylo Ren that I’m eeeeehhh about) but because it was generally just... awkward and Ben just “Aight, I’ma fade out” right after just made it more awkward??? IDEK.

All in all, I didn’t think it was BAD. It was an okay Star Wars movie. It is NOT my favourite- but it was not BAD.

It just felt like it was rushed, that some crucial content was cut in order to keep the plot goingandgoingcan’tstopgoing, and it honestly felt like the three movies was a passive aggressive pissing match between JJ and Rian.

LOT of amazing parts, a LOT of wtf parts, a LOT of disjointed plot points. Enjoyed it, but much could be done/handled better to have made it a more poignant ending to the saga.

Ideas for Precure Fanseries/Precure series in general

- Boy Cure who's a Cure for more than 1 or 2 episodes. - Physically disabled Cure (wheelchair-bound, prosthetics, cane-user). - Mute Cure! - Multiple boy Cures. - Another black Cure (either skin tone or theme colour). - Another white Cure (theme colour-wise, we've got plenty skin-tone-wise) - Nonbinary Cure? - Genderfluid Cure. - Another robot Cure (Ruru was good but we need MORE). - Puppet/doll theme. - Circus theme? - CLOWNS? - More redeemed villains, always. - Mentor figures that actually know what they're doing. - Less morally ambiguous royalty. - Space out the arcs. - Macguffins that have a purpose. - Worldbuilding~! - Do we need to make merchandise? - Even focus on each Cure. - Maybe we don't always need Macguffins. - Even focus on all characters, actually. - Don't make your villains feel one-dimensionally evil. - Complete. Why Medix is Almost Definitely Autistic

- Extremely logically-minded.

- Takes metaphors literally. (From "Life of the Party") Medix: Can you explain why everyone is upset with me? I would think being a stick in the mud is a good thing. To let you know how deep the puddle is, for example. Whirl: It's just a saying humans have. It means somebody who ruins a good time for everyone else. Medix: By using a stick. Whirl: What? No. Medix: So it's the mud that stops the fun? Now I see.

- Has a schedule and prefers to stick to it. (In "Medix Surprise", he dislikes surprises as he prefers to have things planned out and he gets annoyed at the other Recruits when they clean up all the leaves for him, because now he has nothing to do for a while. He also gets upset in "Heatwave's Shiny Coat" when Heatwave doesn't follow the dog-care plan he has)

- Takes a bit to recognise sarcasm or joking.

- Fixation on medic work (The Recruits think he loves bandages so much that it's a good idea to surprise with some) and animals.

- Gets along pretty well with animals/plants.

- Rather blunt at times. ("Critical Condition". Just, the entirety of "Critical Condition")

- Strong moral code (He became a Rescue Recruit for a reason)

- Hyper-organised. ("My cabinets are already fully stocked.")

- Possible stimming. (He bounces in the cockpit chair on the Sigma. He also dances to some pretty loud techno music)

Thanksvember Day 05: Rending Shadows by FicBaal (illbeintheend) (Teen Wolf | Gen) Complete [Rated: Mature] Word Count: 95.1k

Summary: “It’s fortunate for us that those who came before me also had some measure of foresight.” An infuriating smile split Valack's face, “Do you know I nearly had a cell of my own not so long ago?  Instead, events conspired in such a way that I was able to meet personally with the board of directors before any irreversible decisions could be made.” __ Instead of being locked away in the Supernatural Ward, Valack managed to maintain his position as Chief Medical Officer and continue his in-depth study into Beacon Hills' supernatural community.After confronting Noshiko over Rhys' body, the nogitsune is caught at his weakest in the basement of Eichen House, putting both he and Stiles at Valack's mercy.

My thoughts: This is the first part of a series that goes on to become Peter/Stiles. The world building in this (and the series as a whole) is phenomenal. I love how complicated and complex the relationships in this are shown to be - after what happens, it’s only to be expected. The story itself is an interesting canon divergence, well executed in my opinion. I also think Valak is very well done; he’s cruel and detached and sinister, everything you want from a villain. Mind the tags.

Thanksvember Day 22: Deus Ex Girlfriend by ninjaboots and thignsandstuff (Hawaii Five-0 | Steve/Danny) One-Shot [Rated: Explicit] Word Count: 36.3k

Summary: “Why are you hungover?” Steve persists, frowning. “Why aren’t you canoodling with your very pretty girlfriend?” Danny asks. Steve seems confused by the non-sequitur but Danny thinks the question is fair since the answer is the same. OR, Steve gets dumped, Danny makes a friend, and they figure it out eventually.

My thoughts: This is a fun read. I really enjoyed that it was mostly from Danny’s pov. I liked the OC and her friendship with Danny. The mis/non-communication between Danny and Steve was brilliantly done.

Thanksvember Day 29: Silence ringing inside my head (please carry me, carry me, carry me home) by elareine [Rated: Teen and Up]

Summary:

There's a sharp inhale when Jason sees the extent of the damage. Dick closes his eyes. He knows it's bad. It hurts so fucking much, more than any bruises, more than any fall he's had that hasn't landed him in the hospital.

For some reason, Jason acknowledging that pain makes it worse. Like Dick has shoved the pain down and away and Jason is dragging it back out, just by acting like it matters. Like Dick matters.

Tonight, Dick doesn't think he does.

This is a really interesting fic. It’s beautifully written, I love the way elareine has formatted it - breaking each section up. I really enjoyed that it’s written focusing on Dick, and that we get to follow his journey. The fic itself it an interesting mix of confusion and pain, but also moments that are incredibly sweet.

Have you accepted Jinora as your Lord and Savior? A lot of fans sure did after the finale of Book 2: Spirits, wherein Jinora single-handedly pulls Raava out of the ether and saves Korra’s soul from corruption.

Deus ex Jinora was cause for celebration amongst her fans, and the events of the finale spawned a meme in some circles of the fandom.

(I wasn’t sure if I wanted it to be Jinora ex Machina or Deus ex Jinora and then I remembered Raava is basically a god and she’s coming from Jinora here, Jinora isn’t coming from the machine, so DEUS EX JINORA IT IS!!!)

Fans named themselves Jinora’s Witnesses and spent the post-finale days screaming about how Jinora was so amazingly wonderful and how the gospel of her awesomeness must be spread to the world.

Sadly the Church of Jinora Christ and the Jinora’s Witnesses were only a miniature fandom phenomenon, and far too short-lived. Many of the blogs that partook in the meme seem to be gone now - I had a rough time finding these images, and I swear there used to be more. But it was a fun few weeks while it lasted, and I hope other fans will get a kick out of knowing it happened.

I’ll be reblogging the tumblr posts I salvaged, so check out the Jinora’s Witnesses on this blog if you wanted to reblog any yourself.

Why did you choose your url?

For this one it was initially Deus Ex themed, but I generally love the myth of Icarus and was surprised to see icaxrus untaken

For my previous URLS, Aimryax is a unique OC name (I use it for other stuff like carrd) and Transsoap well, Trans!Soap!

How long have you been on tumblr?

Originally, since 2009-ish (7 year old unsupervised) but that blog has been deleted so this one has been made since 2017 after a tough decision of starting anew

Do you have a queue tag?

The second I start to understand the Queue system it’s all over for you

BUT if I were to have one, maybe Adam Jensen’s line “I never queued for this”

Why did you start your blog in the first place?

I was a big fan of the game Prototype and I always went through DA for content, I saw that Tumblr had some so I signed up for it and browsed in silence, I started ACTUALLY interacting around 2014 with anime stuff

Why did you choose you icon/pfp?

Zhou ZiShu!! I loved all the scenes where his qi was messing up and he was adjusting it so I made one, also mandatory flower symbolism

Why did you choose you header?

To match with the flower symbols, I chose this scene where Zhou ZiShu was painting the flowers, I just think it looks neat!

WenZhou mouthed confession in Episode 36, my first post to pass 1k!

A constant state of disappearing for a good while and then returning with full force

Not directly? I’m not the type to start stuff nor engage but one time I saw a blog send NSFW prompts to a minor, I alerted them of that in case they didn’t notice in private, they reacted with hostility so I just blocked

Depends, sometimes it genuine awareness things, sometimes it’s just an attempt at clout
