And with the amount of chaos that he has to deal with when it comes to Obi-Wan and Anakin, this would probably be relaxing.

@antianakin: [From the Boba vs Cody poll] So in a very practical sense, if I'm just looking at it with the question of "Who actually has the skills to be a good leader of people" [between Boba and Cody] then the answer is undoubtedly Cody. Cody was trained his entire life presumably to be a Commander in a large army and seems to do that very successfully for three years. He seems fairly humble, has good teamwork skills, he's kind and understanding and merciful, and he's a very skilled fighter. All of this would serve him exceedingly well if he chose to take on a leadership position, on Mandalore or otherwise. - The one downside to Cody is that Cody shows exactly zero interest in Mandalore at all. Cody does not identify as a Mandalorian at any point and never seems like he'd want to, let alone LEAD the Mandalorians. I do not personally see Cody actually being WILLING to lead Mandalore if offered the opportunity, even if he'd definitely have the skills to do so. I feel like if it were offered to him or fell into his lap somehow, he'd just pass it off immediately to the next most qualified person who was interested in it. Mandalore is not his problem or his responsibility and he's not about to change that.

There was a lot of discourse on the Bo-Katan vs. Cody poll, but it was largely "this is why the other character is a bad choice" rather than "this is why my fave is a good choice," so there isn't really a good way to include it.

Now that the world has been blessed with Tooka!Luke, I was wondering if you had any headcanons about him? 👀👀👀

Oh you have unleashed this!! and for those of you who are unaware of this beautiful, gorgeous piece by @mxxnfish please take the time to look at it and reblog and love it.

So, Tooka-Luke got his hybrid-blood from his father. Anakin has the same physical attributes and has it from his mother's bloodline. He was still saved by the Jedi and went down his path...and Luke was given to his relatives but due to his appearance he was captured by lucky slavers and (for one reason or another) Kenobi was unable to save him before the whole New Hope.

Luke is super sweet and cuddly and loves attention and to be close to a physical body...before he was captured at least. He was beaten and done very poorly to break his stubbornness by the slavers so he is now a bit distrustful and hissy. He doesn't like to talk as much as he used to and he flinches from most people. He bites a lot if someone gets too close.

He's still sweet though; Luke is just has to be kind and gentle and forgiving and warm. He can't help it. Just don't back him into a corner or try to hurt the other hybrids and slaves, then he'll jump out and attack to keep them safe.

As said in the picture, Din either saves Luke or he receives Luke as a gift as being the newly crowned Mand'alor. Either way, he looks at this cute, sexy sunshine and is all "marry now, talk later."

(Din is a little obsessed with his precious to-be-Riduur as he should be)

Luke isn't trustful of him at first, which is fair, but seems to understand Din is a good man...though he can smell there is some sort of lust on him, but he doesn't act on it so Luke either thinks it's not directed at him, is something else, or is just a good guy. But Din has really nice large, warm hands and he pets really nice...so Luke starts to look out for his hands when he can for attention

(Din melts in a lustful, loving, 'omg too cute' pile of goo each time though his expression is hidden behind his helmet)

As speaking with @inky-starlight Luke looks good in almost any outfit. Tooka-Luke also looks good in any outfit. Soon he is being dressed up in a way so his cute ears and tail are nicely highlighted.

Where his tail meets his backside and his big ears are very sensitive parts of his body. Luke will practically collapse when the right amount of attention is placed on him and these areas.

Luke likes getting in Din's lap. If Din is sitting down, Luke will probably crawl on him. he doesn't mean for it to be sexual...but there are times when Din's brain short-circuits.

Many people are very jealous of Din.

Din, of course, is very protective over Luke. He knows people would still kidnap Luke for themselves or to get credits if given the chance, regardless of who his spouse is. He keeps Luke close or inside or with guards. He, sadly, can't go out on his own too often unless they are on a safe planet or they're in special areas of Mandalore (where he is still probably guarded). Luke isn't too upset about this as he likes being around people. He still gets alone time (as Din understands this need) when he's inside.

His collar was removed instantly when Din got him...but as a hybrid, he sometimes has something in him that finds comfort in that. So Din got him a specialized collar that is soft and pretty and that Luke can remove and put on by himself rather than being controlled by another. Din may urge for him to wear it when they go out just as an extra precaution to keep people at bay from kidnapping him.

When Luke falls in love with Din, he shows it. It's on his face and he greets Din happily and warmly and with so much adoration and excitement that it's like they were apart for weeks rather than maybe a couple of hours. (yes, Din melts over this as well...and may respond in kind)

Luke is a bit smol. Din is a bit thic. so Din can carry Luke. Luke really likes this and will hug his neck and nuzzle their cheeks together, beaming and purring.

Luke still has Jedi in him. Which means he jumps. He likes to get on tall places and can easily fall off them and land without injury (he's part cat and part jedi and part Skywalker??? his need to do dangerous things is off the wall)

Din may suffer a few heart-attacks when Luke does this. Even if he knows Luke will be fine, it still makes him flinch. The first few times Luke did this, Din nearly fainted. ("MY (other) BABY!!!")

Paz is not allowed to be alone with Luke. They're idiots together. Because Luke is smol and Paz is a mountain, Paz will throw luke in the air, much to the Tooka's delight. They also want to go jump off things or go fast when together. Paz is Luke's favorite guard and they become close friends. Paz will sometimes let Luke sit on his shoulders so he can see what it's like to feel tall.

Boba is also not allowed to be alone with Luke. Because he is a handsome flirt and Luke likes him and wants to sit on his lap as well. (Boba may have actually felt a little bit of fear the first time Luke got into his lap and he felt Din's murderous glare...he then proceeded to make Din suffer cause their BFFs and he's an ass...and Luke is attractive)

Grogu loves Luke's ears and tail. Especially the tail. Luke lets him play with it and wiggles it around to keep the child entertained.

Luke also loves Grogu and curls around him to protect him when they sleep. Grogu and Luke purr together. Eventually, when Din gets in, he is surrounded by purring family and he is beyond words of happy.

I'm shy at first but get to know me, I am a whole different person. I can be quite blunt but I know when to shut my mouth. A pretty negative person, not gonna lie. I'm a foodie/snackie and also insecure. I am clingy... but I still need/want my freedom and space. I have a tattoo on my knee that says "everything" in the shape of a question mark, and a skull for the dot(y'know, the . at the bottom).

Absolutely not into "perfect" things or people, only sometimes though. I prefer those who has demons. I absolutely CANNOT handle people who can't admit when they're wrong, I can't find it in me. What’s your OTP for your Muse?:  Honestly I’m slain by Braiba with @rvcnge and Braigsoka with @ashsung so I mean both of those he’s just shook by his SOs 24/7

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?: Pretty much anything? Though I will say sex/general smut is not a huge thing for this muse. It’s not a hard no as much as it is a ‘probably won’t happen often’, and obviously it would only happen in his adult verses and won't be written with muns or muses who are underage, and I prefer ooc chats beforehand to set boundaries and comfort levels, even if only for my sake. I’d rather take five-ten minutes to chat than make a friend/myself feel gross cause a line got unknowingly overstepped. Oh, I’m also against writing abusive relationships, both because they do the opposite of detoxing for me and because shipping is the only nice thing I let Braig have. I’m absolutely not against Braig having enemies and all that, but in terms of romance/familial I try to keep it nice and healthy.

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?: Okay so it depends? Obviously I won’t ship a minor with an adult (Unless it’s like a pre-established ship, like Braiba, where Boba’s three years younger than Braig; If they’ve been dating for a few years and Braig turns 18 while Boba’s 15, I’m not gonna burn that bridge cause that’s ridiculous. No smut or anything [tho that’s not a thing w/ these boys anyway], but yeah). So like no master-padawan ship here (Ofc that’s also not a problem cause Obi’s his dad; but this goes for Braig being a master too), uh... Usually 20 years is too much for me? So like 20 year old with a 40 y/o? No. A general rule I use is half Braig’s age plus seven? So like 20 y/o braig could date a 17-y/o, but in this case I’d keep it as someone he was dating as a teenager himself, so like if we’re continuing Braiba and they’ve been dating for like say five plus years? Or since the gap is 3 he could date a 23 year old? 30 = 15+7 = 22? But a lot of the time it depends. I don’t like huge gaps but as long as it’s all consensual and it’s all reasonable like... Okay I’m ranting but the long and short of it is I really have no specifics as long as it’s not like “I was voting age before you were conceived” 

Are you selective when shipping?: Absolutely. I’ve had two really bad experiences with people trying to ship with me right off the bat, before I knew them or their characters, one of which was actually pretty squicky (aka claiming [publicly] that I was aggravating their depression and whatnot whenever I didn’t have my character kiss theirs as soon as they first met) that really made me anxious and uncomfy so. I pretty much have to know the mun and muse or else shipping is a no-go.

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?: Honestly if anything happens in the groin area, it’s nsfw.  If breasts are involved, it’s nsfw.  Other touching or steamy kissing is not, but certain ‘dirty talk’ might also be tagged nsfw if it gets too explicit. <- Honestly I’m just going with Liz on this one. Anything I wouldn’t want my eight-year-old kid brother seeing will be tagged either NSFW or (if it’s just kissing) PDA. I’m not the only one with lil kiddos potentially seeing the screen.

Who are other muses you ship your muse with?: I don’t really have any other ships yet? I gotta give it some time and interaction but yeah. Does one have to ask to ship with you?: If there’s chemistry, and we’re buds ooc, then chances are I’ll be shipping it as well? So far everything I’ve been shipping has been mutual which is rad? But I’m a bit of an awkward bean so I REALLY appreciate people telling me ‘hey, our muses work really well together, I think we could ship.’ I mean even then I prefer letting it play out, but I will otherwise just sort of dance around it for a long time before I can work the courage up to say so myself?

How often do you like to ship?: Whenever there’s a spark my compadre. 

Are you multiship?: Absolutely. Each one takes place in a different timeline/verse unless all involved parties have discussed otherwise, but yeah!!! I love putting different relationships out and seeing everything that goes down. Also, Braig can’t choose between his SOs, don’t ask him to try.

Are you ship obsessed or ship more-or-less?: As long as Braig is happy and the other folks are into it, I will scream about it and send asks and just rant and rave for days bruhski. Again, it’s the only nice thing the muse really gets so it’s the best way to get him happy and active!!!

I’m back again with some toys to talk about! Statues of big spaceships and little computer hackers hang out with goofy robot girls and even goofier role-play weapons, and then I take time to ruminate on Rubik'ses, as well as more vintage-toku-themed stuff! And after all that, I take a look at one of the biggest pieces I’ve amassed in a while (and quite looked forward to). I missed you too, so let’s just get right back into these Tuesday Night Toys!

New Stuff: What’s Yamato with you?

Megahouse has this really cool statue of the unstoppable Space Battleship Yamato out in August. I’m mostly super into this thing because of the presentation; check out that asteroid ring. It lends a lot of presence to what would otherwise be a rather standard spaceship model. One day I’ll sit down for the new Yamato, just for how turned on all the toys make me.

I did finally manage to finish Persona 5 over the weekend, and if you thought that would make me move on from it, you thought like an idiot! Now that I can freely search for stuff from the game without worrying about spoilers, I’m going to be checking out all kinds of stuff from it. Just in time, Good Smile put up pre-orders for a statue of socially-anxious navigator and owner of a dungeon that’s a massive P4 tribute, Futaba! You know me, I’ll always prefer posable figures when I get them, but a nice-looking statue is still notable, and this one is cute for what will probably be the first of many. And I’m not just saying this because Futaba was the girl I romanced on my first play-through.

What can I say, I gotta go for the Super Sentai fan who collects action figures and is voiced by Aoi Yuuki

Bandai’s mashing up of their Build Fighters characters with Build Fighters Gunpla kits continues, and of course they’re sticking with the cute girls. This latest one is the China’gguy, combining the first Build Fighters season’s leading lady with her adorable stuffed-bear kit with a really clever pun name. China’gguy has multiple option parts, and looks like it should go well with the Super Fumina, thematically anyway. I do wonder if there’s an in-universe justification for this one though, like there was with the Super Fumina. I’m a little behind on keeping up with all the ancillary Build Fighters media, myself.

Also I’ll always be a little disappointed that China’s custom kit wasn’t the China Gundam.

Nerf will have a GameStop-exclusive pack with a Boba Fett-themed blaster and mask as a tie-in to Star Wars Battlefront. That’s a few different franchises getting taped together for one product, but the result is a neat-looking Nerf gun and an irresistibly fun protective mask. Might be worth getting just to see if that silly thing would work for airsoft. Box looks nice too.

Wishlist: Boss Cross

Reblogging that bit about Machinesaurer vs Death Cross yesterday reminded me that I’d seen that big robotic jackass somewhere before: The pre-order for the new Dynamite Action Death Cross. This high-end upgrade of the classic parts-forming robot toy recreates the old version in a nicely modern way, and is even available in multiple colors. Man, now that I know more about this, I hope they get around to a new version of Machinesaurer to fight him.

We also got new, full-color production pics of the upcoming Super Mini-Pla Dragon Caesar, mostly notable for now showing off his combination with DaiZyuJin. Looks like the kits will interact well, and only step up the question of if they’ll do King Brachion afterwards.

Plus, you guys want to do some Dairanger kits, I’d be totally into it

I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention that a reissue of Takaratomy’s Mickey Mouse Trailer, that silly Transformers/Mickey Mouse crossover figure is up for pre-order, in both the regular and black-and-white color schemes. Good to see they have a mind to keep putting these things out, though I’m more keeping my eyes out for another go at the Donald Duck.

And lastly, speaking of Transformers mash-ups, I’m still shooting a glance at this Rubik's Crew Optimus Prime figure. Yeah, it’s just another movie-year cash-in trinket for another themed subline trying to ride the Funko-Pop train into oblivion. But still, after years of people inexplicably comparing Transformers to Rubik's Cubes anyway (I disagree with that vehemently, ask me about it sometime), getting a Transformer that literally IS a Rubik's Cube is pretty dang funny to me. So that’s a thing. If I see it, and it’s cheap, I might grab it.

On Desk: Big Cats

I finally completed Playmates’s ‘Legendary’ 16 inch Voltron last week, grabbing the Black Lion and thus getting to stick ‘em all together. I’ve actually been slowly assembling the team for a few months now, one piece at a time every other paycheck or so. It was an interesting way to get something like this, alternative to the way I’d just splurge on a whole wave of Combiner Wars Transformers at once. Getting the Voltron kitties this was seemed a bit more…satisfying? Goal-oriented, I guess? I dunno, but all the build-up made finally getting to put them all together feel like a real treat.

I mean, the individual lion toys on their own aren’t bad toys. They’re big, they look good, they’re nicely posable and come with surprisingly strong clip-on launcher weapons. They definitely feel like toys in their own right, rather than glorified components of one bigger piece. The Black Lion, with its heftier price tag and carrying all the electronics, is clearly the centerpiece, but they’re all impressive figures. If you just wanna get, say, the Red Lion for a while because you really like the Red Lion (and who wouldn’t after Season 2), you probably won’t be disappointed.

But oh man, once you do get all five lions together, how well they function as set becomes pretty obvious. It’s not just the standard ‘look how cool the whole team looks together’ aspect either; the sounds in the Black Lion and how they interact with all the others at once for the combination gimmick is one of the more impressive uses of electronics I’ve seen in a while. The core torso detects as you attach each lion, giving the specific pilot a voiced callout and interaction with Shiro for each connection. Then, when they’re all connected, there’s a big group speech with flashing lights and sound effects. It is downright DX Sentai-mecha level. There’s a button for sound effects on the Black Lion you can press. When it’s uncombined, you get solo battle crys and commands from Shiro, while in Voltron mode, he actually shouts orders to the other pilots, and then has them respond to him. As an adult, I already think this is pretty damn neat, but if I was a kid, this would be play-pattern gold.

As a Voltron toy itself, it’s just remarkably solid too. The transformations of the Lions into their component modes are complex enough to be satisfying, and the combination is suitably smooth. I was surprised that the Black Lion’s legs just slide right into the boots; no opening or clamping or anything, they just slot and lock right in. There is a little latch on the back you pull to disengage them, but that works well too. The arms are a little more fiddly, having their little flip-out connection joints to peg into the shoulders, but they aren’t that hard, and stay in once you’re done.

At the end of it, you have this *amazingly*-sized, sweet-lookin’ Voltron figure. It looks way better, more proportionate than the dumpy stock photos had me worried it would be. And seriously, I can’t overstate how stupidly huge this thing is once it’s together. It’s almost Devastator-size, it’s great. For all the amusing kids-toy electronics and gimmicks anchoring the play of this thing, the size and looks also mean you’re getting one killer display piece for your hard work in collecting it.

Posability is pretty good, but not amazing. The arms are probably the weakest link, with their incredibly shallow elbow joints that you have to fuss the rear lion legs out of the way to use besides, but there’s also the case of there being no side-to-side neck swivel, which is just dang inexplicable. Fortunately there are still good shoulders and wrists, and the legs fare pretty well, pulling off double-jointed knees and even including slight ankle tilts! Overall, it’s still a pretty dynamic big toy, it could just stand to be better in a couple places.

Even with those articulation misgivings, it’s still an incredibly impressive piece. The size, complexity, and electronics all add up to make it feel like the big event of a toy it’s supposed to be. If you’re a big fan of the new show (and if you haven’t checked it out yet, I earnestly recommend that you do), and you’ve got the money and time to spare, this is a really cool thing to work up to. It’s rewarding.

Anon: Boba Fett Propaganda: - Boba Fett was explicitly raised by his father, past Mand'alor Jango Fett, to be the legacy of his own adopted buir, Mand'alor Jaster Mereel; while this training did seem to focus more on the bounty hunting and mercenary aspects of their work, it presumably included many lessons about working with people and negotiating, both of which would come in very handy - Boba is commonly held to be a classic example of a child who grew up in a cultural diaspora, feeling largely disconnected from his Mandalorian roots; given the climate on Mandalore after the Galactic Empire glassed it during the Rebellion Era, his experience is likely representative of many of the surviving Mandalorians, who likely also grew up away from their traditional homeworlds in the sector, possibly even in hiding as in the case of Din Djarin's Covert - speaking of Din Djarin, the strong respect between him and Fett would likely put Fett in good standing with those traditionalists, who would similarly respect Fett's connection to their people as the son of a Foundling, even if he wasn't raised the same way as them - in Legends, Fett's connection with Goran Beviin and his family really brought him more fully back into Mandalorian culture, and in a way that makes a good story to sell to reporters (and readers, breaking the fourth wall a bit there, lol) - finally, Boba DID become Mand'alor in Legends continuity, and one that seemingly enjoyed popular support!

He literally sits there frozen, his glasses glazed and you can just tell he’s so freaked out. Salim’s used to people clinging to him when he does this so out of slight concern, he kind of just puts his hand on his to sort of awkwardly reassure him it’s okay? k thnx bye i didn’t plan this)• [x] Drama (Salim doesn’t like these kinds of movies mainly because he either guesses the entire case and gets it spot on or falls asleep - In his sleepiness he might drink from your cola though Yuuri, woops, he didn’t actually plan that indirect kiss - I am such trash for cliche tropes)• [ ] Buddy Movie• [ ] ___ (other options)

Like the whole time at the table he’s adjusting his collar and to make himself feel calmer goes through pictures of his cats and birds and his adopted zoo Gecko on his phone on the sly - please help him)• [X] Small and familiar• [x] Fast Food (Salim loves fast food, so bad that he’d be so dangerous for Katsuki-Katsuki and his athlete-bod-watching. Like he would offer him so much of his food and he grew up a poor arab kid on war-torn soil so don’t even think he gives a shit about spoon feeding him some of his food, or sharing his straw - plus he really wants Yuuri to try this pistachio flavoured boba tea)

He refuses but it’s too late he’s HANGING ONTO YUURI’S FOR DEAR LIFE AND MUTTERING ALL SORTS OF PRAYERS UNDER HIS BREATH BUT like hey this is nice, he’s skating wow he’s totally- bUT THEN YUURI LETS GO AND BAM HE GOES SLIDING DIRECTLY INTO A TREE - so romantic )• [ ] Forest   • [ ] …and having a picnic

[x] Visiting a Museum (Salim likes museums a lot - he sees them like a small bubble of the world because of them containing so many cultures and languages and it’s all preserved in glass and he gets a little starry eyed but he also gets trigger fever and goes for his camera STOP HIM BEFORE HE RUINS THE PAINTINGS)

But Salim would totally go at him with all evil intent but the dogs and the cats and the birds and pretty much the entire zoo would think that Sal’s tickling was a game and they animal kingdom would join in)• [x] Watching movies• [x] Playing Video Games (They don’t play versus games - they only play co op because Salim can’t handle that ‘losing crying face’ that happened that one time)• [x] Reading 

[x] Night time runs (Katsuki got to take Salim skating, so Salim gets to take him rooftop hopping and like, literally this is so dangerous but ‘just do it, I’ve seen you jump, you can totally nail this roof leap, I’m right here, I’ll catch you’ and like don’t listen, he could literally die but maybe he does jump and holy shit but he lands onto Salim and they crash onto the floor of the next roof. Salim’s faceplanted again HOW DID YOU DO THIS AGAIN?? Salim’s not even mad though, he’s so excited and he’s asking all the questions; ‘How’d it feel?’ ‘Doesn’t it feel like you’re jumping into the stars?’ ‘Doesn’t the wind hit you hard? Isn’t it amazing?’ AND YEAH I BET IT POSSIBLY FEELS A LITTLE LIKE THE FEELING OF SKATING.
