Australian actor and comedian Rebel Wilson had her breakout role in “Bridesmaids” (2011). This led to Variety including Wilson on its "Top Ten Comics to Watch for 2013". After appearing the “Pitch Perfect”, she won the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.
Embracing her plus size figure, in 2013 Wilson created a line of t-shirts for women featuring images of donuts and cupcakes. In 2017, she launched a plus-sized clothing line called Rebel Wilson x Angels.
“There's a lot of pressure on women, especially younger women, to conform to the thin body image. Not everyone can be that way and no one should be ashamed of how they look.”
Wilson has been linked romantically with several men, but in 2022 she announce she was in relationship with Ramona Agruma.
"I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."
The announcement was partially a result of an Australian magazine threatening to Out her. She decided to take matters into her own hands.

Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg Documentary Review
Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg will take you on a wild ride through the life of a true rock 'n' roll icon. This documentary finally gives the radiant and captivating Anita Pallenberg her well-deserved spotlight as a creative force in her own right. She was a woman of alluring beauty, intelligence, dysfunction, addiction, and yes, an important figure in the world of the Rolling Stones at their peak.
Directors Alexis Bloom and Svetlana Zill kick things off with a tantalizing glimpse of Anita in all her glory – grainy archive footage of the gorgeous rebel swirling in an orange cape, cigarette in hand, as she utters the provocative words, "I've been called a witch, a slut and a murderer. I've been hounded by the police and slandered by the press." These lines, voiced by Scarlett Johansson (though her monotone, American accent delivery misses the mark), are lifted directly from Anita's unpublished memoir, "Black Magic."
The documentary takes us back to 1965 when Anita, attending a raucous Rolling Stones concert in Munich, fell head-over-heels for founding band member Brian Jones. Their shared enthusiasm for drugs (and fashion, and sex, and the spotlight) ignited a whirlwind romance. As Keith Richards recalls in a new audio interview, everyone found her utterly intriguing. Eventually, Anita rolled from one Stone to another, forming a deep romantic attachment with Keith, who describes himself as "bursting in love" with her. She even shared a fling with Mick Jagger during the filming of Performance, but ultimately stayed with Keith, bearing three children with him.
Catching Fire doesn't shy away from the darker moments, like the tragic crib death of Anita's third child and the reckless Russian Roulette exit strategy by a very young boyfriend after her split from Keith.
The insightful commentary from Keith Richards, Anita's children Marlon and Angela, Marianne Faithfull, her friends, and co-stars, combined with Anita's own voice, paints a well-rounded portrait – a refreshing contrast to the recent The Stones and Brian Jones documentary, wherein she was portrayed as sort of a devil-woman.
But what truly sets this film apart is the treasure trove of footage, including home movies and behind-the-scenes gems, giving us an intimate glimpse into the life of this extraordinary woman. So, get ready to be captivated by the story of Anita Pallenberg – a true rock 'n' roll witch who cast her spell on the world.

night at the museum: Kamunrah rises again review
-i was binging the hell out of the night at the museum franchise (I chose to start with Smithsonian museum arc (2) then i’ll end with one). I watched the fourth movie and have many thoughts, as someone who loves this franchise to bits. (If you dont see mentions of the first movie its bc i havent seen it yet from my movie marathon)
1. The timeline is hella off im so confused about it. Nick is in highschool but NATM3 he was going to college?? Laa is there so it can’t be post NATM 2. If it was post NATM3 the best solution to this problem is having the adventure set IN THE UK???
2. I honestly am confused why kamunrah was revived again such a strange character to bring back i mean he was already dead before why bring him back?? (He was so iconic in the 2nd movie. Has funny bits in the fourth but third act bore me sorry) I genuinely wish there was a different bad guy instead
3. Infact i genuinely wish they had a small series for post NATM3 arc wherein its about the British museum rather than our main cast. Theres so much room and potential to introduce interesting historical figures too! Heck even make some of the animal statues talk that would be interesting (i doubt thats possible even with the tablet but shush) (is this an excuse to bring back rebel wilson to be the night guard-maybe Jdjfjsjdk/lh)
4. I love Octavius design he is not ugly to me at all infact he looks amazing in the movie! I love his face and his hair they look good. (I question why Jed is ginger and clean shaven, hes better off looking scruffy and scrappy looking) SIDE NOTE I LOVE THEM ADOPTING A CAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE !! (Their dynamic was off but them being clingy asf to each other made things less unberable)
5. Sacagewea and Joan of arc be lookin fruity in that one scene I see yall HDDJSJ, cute momment too. I love their respective character designs they are very fun plus Sacagewea is more plot relevant for once im glad for that:’D. Ik Joan of Arc wasnt there for the previous movies but my only answer to that plothole is shes also a new exhibit that was installed before NATM4. Or she could be in the British museum AKA AN EXCUSE TO HAVE JOAN AND LANCELOT TO INTERACT BRO THAT WOULD BE COOL
6.i love these movies but NATM4’s final fight scene wasn’t as impactful as the others. No.2 was so fucking good at their fight scenes the characters battling it out with a good amount for both sides, theres different spotlights for the characters even if its one second. The third movie it was more of a chase scene ft. LION STATUES BEING BIG CATS GAHHH<33 and Lancelot identity crisis poor man. This fourth one felt like a fight you see in every cartoon or show, just felt not as creative? Except when Nick destroyed the bird soldiers eye with arrows that was cool.
7. WHY DOES DEXTER NOT LOOK LIKE A CAPUCHIN??? He looks like a generic orange or brown ish monkey. I looked up how they look like irl and they tend to have multi colored fur so his design rlly confused the hell out of me. I genuinely love capuchins bc of dexter and able (choosing them over chimpanze’s just saying)
8.Lightning round bc I RAN OUT OF SPACE: Mia looks cool (wish she was used more in the story), Akmunrah not being there is so saddening, Nick and the bi sticker ™, Fun call back to the subway scene very cute, I love the oil painting joke its corny and useful to the chase, OFFENDED THERES NO BIG ANIMAL IN THE MAM MUSEUM EXCUSE??😭😭 theres always a big boy in there wdym (Rexy, Octopus, Trixie),Comic convention joke was my fave its such a cute moment
Heres some photos yey!! ok im done i spoke too much on this-did not expect such passion over it!!

My Adventures With Superman Season One Spoiler-Filled Review [Part 2]
Continued from part 1
The voice cast is talented. Jack Quaid lent his voice to Peter Parker / Lizard in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and more prominently as Ensign Bradward "Brad" Boimler in Star Trek: Lower Decks. This series marks one of Alice Lee's first voice roles, apart from voicing a character in Mickey Mouse Funhouse. She has played characters in TV series since 2009. Ishmel Sahid has been working on similar series since around the same time. In an exclusive interview with Lee and Sahid, both said they were excited to see fanart, but also said it was challenging to maintain the high energy of Lois and Jimmy. Both noted the writers and producers helped them. They described how they had to adjust their speaking voices to the characters and explained the flair they gave each character through the voices.
One member of the voice cast, Kari Wahlgren, is well-known. She voiced Martha Kent, and young Clark Kent, in this series. She has done dubbing of anime characters since 2002, and has voiced iconic characters in Western animation. This includes Electronique in Kim Possible, Suzy Johnson in Phineas and Ferb, Tigress/Sheena in Carmen Sandiego, Callie in the somewhat underrated Cleopatra in Space, and Zatanna in DC Super Hero Girls. She also lent her voice to characters in Sym-Bionic Titan, Young Justice, Infinity Train, Dota: Dragon's Blood, The Ghost and Molly McGee, The Owl House, Velma, and OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes.
Wahlgren is voice actor powerhouse in her own right. There are few voice actors, in the cast, who have voiced as many characters as Wahlgren. One exception is Zehra Fazal. She is recognized for voicing Nadia Rizavi in Voltron: Legendary Defender and Halo/Violet in Young Justice. She also voiced Faraday and Shannon in Craig of the Creek, Mara in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Zahra and Sabrina in Glitch Techs, General Yunan in Amphibia, and Tassia in Dragon Age: Absolution.
Reprinted from Pop Culture Maniacs and Wayback Machine. This was the forty-ninth article I wrote for Pop Culture Maniacs. This post was originally published on September 21, 2023.
Others have voiced just as many characters. Chris Parnell voiced characters in Gravity Falls, BoJack Horseman, Elena of Avalor (Migs), Samurai Jack, and Dogs in Space (Ed). Debra Wilson previously voiced characters in Cannon Busters (Lady Day), Final Space (Quinn's mother), The Casagrandes, The Owl House, Star Trek: Prodigy, Black Dynamite, and The Proud Family. Catherine Taber voiced her share of animated characters including Padmé Amidala in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Lori Loud in The Loud House. Lucas Grabeel voiced characters such as Jiku in Elena of Avalor and the haughty scammer Julian in Spirit Riding Free.
youtube
The voice cast includes other prominent voice actors. Vincent Tong voiced characters in 16 Hudson, Ninjago, LoliRock (Mephisto), My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Polly Pocket, and The Dragon Prince (Prince Kasef). André Sogliuzzo voiced King Bumi in Avatar: The Last Airbender and King Verago in Elena of Avalor. He also voiced characters in Samurai Jack, Star Wars Rebels, and The Owl House. Darrell Brown previously lent his voice to characters in Gabby's Dollhouse and Madagascar: A Little Wild. Azuri Hardy-Jones voiced Jade in Deer Squad. Kenna Ramsey voiced various characters in video games.
Apt viewers may recognize Jake Green, Laila Berzins, Jesse Inocalla, David Errigo Jr., Max Mittleman, and Andromeda Dunker. Errigo Jr. is known for voicing Ferb in the 2020 film, Candace Against the Universe. The film is the most recent iteration of the Phineas and Ferb franchise. Inocalla voiced Soren in The Dragon Prince. Berzins voiced characters in indie animations such as Satina, Wild Card: Shuffled, and Monkey Wrench.
Other well-known individuals voice bit characters in the seventh episode: Kimberly Brooks as Jalana Olsen, Osric Chau as Lewis Lane, and Lauren Tom as Leader Lois. Brooks is best-known as Princess Allura in Voltron: Legendary Defender and the rough-and-tough Jasper in Steven Universe. Some may remember Chau as the one who voiced the villainous computer hacker known as The Troll in Carmen Sandiego. Tom voiced Mop Girl in recently ended a mature animation, Disenchantment, and Amy Wong in currently airing Futurama, another mature animation. This differs with actors such as Reid Scott, Joel De La Fuente, Melanie Minichino, and Michael Emerson (as Brainac). All four do wonderful voice work on this show, but have almost exclusively, or exclusively, previously done live-action TV series.
Warner Bros. Animation is a subsidiary of the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate. This subsidiary produced Velma, Harley Quinn, DC Super Hero Girls, Young Justice, Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, Justice League, Static Shock, Superman: The Animated Series, and Batman: The Animated Series. Rooster Teeth, another subsidiary, is recognized for RWBY, its flagship series. The CRWBY is doing all they can to ensure RWBY gets a tenth season. The RWBY superhero crossover film (part 2) is coming out this fall. It may include a version of Superman, like part one.
A largely-circulated spreadsheet in which people anonymously described their conditions in animation studios mentions Warner Bros. Animation. In one entry, Warner Bros. Animation is said to have too much work and treat workers badly. However, it acknowledges that each production is different. People on Glassdoor praised Studio Mir for high-quality projects and talented colleagues. Others were more critical.
Whatever the second season of My Adventures with Superman brings, the number of fans will continue to grow (including the 10,000+ fans across two subreddits), regardless of the corporate decision to air it on Adult Swim rather than Cartoon Network, possibly because of "dark moments" in the series. Hopefully the next season goes above and beyond what the first season delivered. Even so, I can't rate this series high enough, as it is just as strong as Harley Quinn and superior in many ways to the sometimes-convoluted Young Justice and mediocre Velma.
My Adventures with Superman can be streamed on Max or Spectrum. It can also be purchased on Prime Video, either as an entire season or individual episodes, iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, or Microsoft Store.

Psychedelic Posters and the Art Nouveau Influence
Introduction:
The 1960s witnessed a revolution in art and culture, characterized by a vibrant explosion of color, pattern, and surreal imagery—embodied in the mesmerizing world of psychedelic posters. Rooted in the artistic movement of Art Nouveau from the late 19th century, these posters became iconic expressions of counterculture. This article embarks on a captivating journey, unveiling the allure of 60s psychedelic posters and their connection to the Art Nouveau movement.
The Birth of Psychedelic Posters:
Emerging amidst the social upheaval and artistic experimentation of the 1960s, psychedelic posters encapsulated the spirit of the era. These posters, often associated with music festivals and the burgeoning psychedelic rock scene, utilized vivid colors, intricate patterns, and surreal imagery to create mind-altering visual experiences.
Psychedelic posters became a canvas for artists to explore unconventional design elements, incorporating swirling motifs, distorted typography, and kaleidoscopic patterns. These artworks aimed to transcend conventional boundaries, mirroring the mind-altering effects of psychedelic substances that were prevalent in the counterculture movement.
60s Psychedelic Posters: A Window into the Era:
Beyond their artistic appeal, 60s psychedelic posters served as visual representations of the cultural and social movements of the time. They advertised concerts, happenings, and gatherings, reflecting the ethos of peace, love, and experimentation that defined the era.
Artists like Wes Wilson, Victor Moscoso, and Stanley Mouse were pioneers in this genre, utilizing vibrant hues and intricate designs to create posters that mirrored the psychedelic experience itself. The fusion of typography, vibrant colors, and mesmerizing patterns became iconic symbols of an era characterized by free expression and a departure from societal norms.
Art Nouveau Influence:
The roots of psychedelic posters can be traced back to the Art Nouveau movement that emerged in the late 19th century. Art Nouveau, characterized by sinuous lines, organic forms, and ornate details, rebelled against the academic art of the time, seeking to infuse art into everyday life.
The influence of Art Nouveau on psychedelic posters is unmistakable. Both movements shared a fascination with elaborate, flowing designs and a departure from traditional artistic norms. The intricate and organic patterns seen in Art Nouveau found echoes in the swirling, fluid compositions of psychedelic posters.
Art Nouveau Posters: A Bridge to Psychedelia:
Art Nouveau posters, known for their elegant curves and decorative elements, often promoted theatrical productions, products, or events. Artists like Alphonse Mucha, with his iconic poster designs, epitomized the essence of Art Nouveau. These posters, characterized by elongated figures, floral motifs, and intricate borders, laid the groundwork for the visual language that would later evolve into psychedelic art.
The transition from Art Nouveau to psychedelic art was marked by a departure from the restrained elegance of the former to the exuberant and mind-bending designs of the latter. Yet, the foundational principles of organic forms, flowing lines, and decorative intricacy remained as connecting threads between the two movements.
Legacy and Influence:
The legacy of both Art Nouveau and psychedelic posters continues to reverberate in contemporary art and design. Elements of these movements can be spotted in modern-day graphic design, album covers, and even fashion.
The mesmerizing allure of psychedelic posters, with their vibrant colors and intricate designs, continues to captivate collectors and enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau posters remains an inspiration for artists and designers seeking to infuse their work with organic beauty and decorative richness.
Conclusion:
The evolution from the intricate, organic designs of Art Nouveau to the kaleidoscopic explosion of color and pattern in psychedelic posters represents a continuum of artistic rebellion and expression. Both movements pushed the boundaries of conventional art, leaving an indelible mark on visual culture. Their shared elements of intricate design, organic forms, and a departure from artistic norms serve as a testament to the enduring influence and legacy of these mesmerizing art forms.

god i feel bad but everything i learn about j*nna ortega makes me make the cringe emoji
maybe i’m reading everything wrong but rewriting dialogue, clashing with iconic directors, being besties with an assa*lter, idk. don’t do the project if you feel the story/characterizations are that bad? and then her statements about latinx rep... obviously there’s always room for more but it’s giving rebel wilson claiming to be the first plus size romcom star
again i may be totally wrong here, and i recognize she is very young and maybe press is taking things out of context to generate controversy. send me anons if you have a different perspective by all means, i am willing to learn!

as someone who’s fat, the reasons I’m tired of Hollywood doesn’t just start and end at “all these fat characters are lazy and/or depressed!” It’s more that whenever a fat character IS in a movie, the fatness is an inherent part of their story instead of just like. a secondary characteristic. even the “first plus size rom com lead rebel wilson” (hello queen latifah is right there and iconic miss wilson but whatever) had an arc ultimately about how she suffers from low self esteem bc of her fatness and undesirability. create me a fat woman who fucks. show me a fat person who’s hilarious and runs drugs for the cartel. write a film with a fat superhero. stop talking about their fatness!!!!! Start talking about their problems!!!! We have so many!!!!
#I had a lot more to say I guess lmao#for real whenever I watch romcoms I’m always thinking ‘they should be fatter’ bc these stick thin and/or ripped bodies#don’t reflect reality#I wanna watch someone like me fall in love not a beautiful model#anyway.

oh man I love Wayfaring Stranger. have you heard the version by Thom Allison from Killjoys? (the internet apparently only has one copy that's not a show/spoilers music video, and you have to download it, but 10/10 recommend it here)
Will Wood is a grade-A match for Racer, every song I hear from him is just pure chaos. I think I've linked 2econd-2ight-2eer for both her and Fury in the past but idk where. "God forbid I'm seen just as an average human being" is truly her, she loves being the centre of attention and also like. she is just too wild to be average. (Funnily enough she's the least neurodivergent of the whole squad, besides the standard issue PTSD she's fine mentally, she's just like that all on her own. incredibly funny tbh) also "I outsmart them with a ray-gun and a tweet" yeah. she IS tweeting on the battlefield and Blue IS yelling at her about it. god forbid women do anything. I want her to say 'you have to like me' to Blue, he would snap.
the entire second verse of that song OUGH. yeah. chewing this like a beaver. "Born to live your legacy, xxisting just to fill your needs" is a great song for all the clones I'm gonna be ruminating that for like a week. it IS a shame it took so long to rescue ner, but hey, better late than never even when it comes to therapy, right. takes ner like ten years but whatever we stan anyway. and I'm having a lot of thoughts about 'never standing on my own' because hello squad life but also ne does have an Issue about standing out and how that's unsafe but also something ne wants to prove ne's not just another number in the army. not thoughts i can articulate but they're there.
Fury would love that song (canon Blackpink enjoyer, love that for him). You know that 'brutal fight scene set to peppy 80s music' trope? this is the music for him. "So if it takes forever, we'll save the world together" 🥺🥺🥺 yeah it's him!!! he's so determined to make things better, no matter what it takes, he's such an optimist and i love that for him. and "don't care if the world ain't ready for me" also yeah it's him!!! he's doing his thing regardless, he doesn't expect people to like. Vibe With It. but he loves when they do!
I say this politely (?) but this song sounds like a panic attack in the making and yeah. Mr Anxiety Issues for sure. "I can't do this man I'm not happy" LMAO. "I am happy, I am good, I am outta here screw you!" LMAO THE SECOND. he really does say 'get your shit together' a lot to the Aces, but like. you've seen them. you understand.
ooh I love this song with "you'll only stand a chance if you're out for love". and "think of who you care about, protect 'em and be out for love". and THE ENTIRE BRIDGE. this man has so much love and it's what he deserves honestly! look at him, he's such a doll.
I don't have time atm to listen to the playlists because it's almost dinner but I did peek at the song names and 👀
Run Run Rebel is a fabulous choice. love that her band's on there (idc who started it in canon, it's Liithal's now <3). Encanto song!!! yes. would you be at all surprised to know that Surface Presure is on Fury's playlist. oooh yes girl finally snap at your toxic family. oh shit there's a cast recording of The Lightning Thief??? Heirloom. OUGH. do I wanna know about "I miss her and I blame you" (yes I do gimme). omg Icon For Hire! I used to listen to them so much!
seeing SHIT on Sol's playlist took me out that's hilarious. A Sky Full of Stars is an adorable ship song I love that. and I am 100% stealing Therapy Is Cool Dad for one of the clone's playlists, idk which one yet. MULAN COVER SPOTTED. I have Could Have Been Me on Racer's and Fury's and Kestrel's playlists. MOTHER MOTHER SPOTTED. Favourite song of theirs. TREASURE PLANET SPOTTED. I used a lyric from Brother for the Barton boys once (extended Marvel phase. rip.) TARZAN SONG SPOTTED. Jackie and Wilson is such a good song love that for him.
randomly assign me a song from your playlist!
tell me about some of the most jarring songs that have played back to back!
tell me about the songs you like but won't listen to!
do you have songs you would assign to some of the Aces perhaps 👀
there's gotta be songs you assign to Liithal and/or Sol right 👀
also if you have OT3 vibes in there somewhere I live for OT3s
You get this song! Because I need to try to get more people into the No Evil fandom!
Okay I made a mini playlist specifically out of my jarring songs for your listening enjoyment!
Oh this should be fun. So, Christmas Shoes is a song I used to love, and it's still a great song. But until today, the last time i listened to it was on the radio on the way home from my dad's funeral in 2012. I think the fact that after over a decade, today I can finally hear it again without just turning it off is a pretty good mark that I'm really doing better than I was before.
Racer. What can I say? She be like that. Here me out: Whisper. I think it could fit. There are a lot of lines in this song that remind me of ner. Fury. For sure. I was going to give Blue a real serious song, but this song came up while i was looking and I thought of him So Hard, so here ya go. Ember. Because he's a badass motivated by love.
Liithal and Sol both do have playlists haha. Their lists overlap a lot because of couple songs of course. They are not yet in chronological order, but each song does correlate with events of their stories.
I probably have poly vibe songs around here somewhere, but unfortunately my mind has blanked here lol.
