Klaus Mikaelson X Soulmate!Reader x Elijah Mikaelson Ch. 26
Word Count- 4.8k
Warnings- ARSON, swearing, mentions of sex and threesomes
“Wait so Theo tried giving my brothers the sex talk?”
I tighten my jacket as I cringe at Rebekah’s question. The blonde original walks beside me past construction workers and townspeople as we make our way over to Wickey Bridge.
“I wish I was joking. He’s so corny.”
Rebekah lets out a chuckle, “And let me guess, my brothers sat down and listened.”
I let out a sigh, “Every second of it.”
“What happened after you kicked Theo out?”
I frown as I recall last night, “Nothing. Like… literally nothing. Theo went to his room and then Klaus and Elijah stood up and then Elijah wished me a good night, and then they just left,” I raise my hands in defeat and Rebekah rolls her eyes.
“Well what did you want to happen,” I close my mouth as I hear Rebekah’s tone and see the smirk on her face.
“Nothing…shut up.”
Rebekah shakes her head, “Then you have nothing to complain about,” She eyes me, “Right?”
I eye her back and nod, “Yep. Nothing at all.”
Rebekah rolls her eyes at me and mutters something quietly under her breath before wrapping her arm in mine and dragging me toward Carol Lockwood.
“Why are we here anyways,” I shake slightly as a brush of wind hits my face, “It’s cold. And there’s too many people here.”
“I told you in the car, I need some information. We’ll leave as soon as I get it.”
Rebekah leads us to Carol who plasters a huge fake smile as soon as she sees the Original and it slightly dampers when his eyes meet mine and I fight the urge to roll my own.
“Rebekah and…Y/n,” Her tone tightens as she says my name, “What a pleasure you’re both here! How can I help you?”
Before Rebekah can respond I spot a refreshments table and untangle my arm from Bekah’s. She frowns at me but when I point towards the drinks she nods, going back to talk to Carol.
I’d rather lobotomize myself than have a conversation with that woman.
—
I blow out a breath as I nurse the styrofoam cup filled with cocoa in my hands. The warmth momentarily giving my hands some much-needed heat.
“Pukey, you hear with Barbie Klaus I presume?”
I turn around and my eyes meet Damon’s blue ones.
“Sadly, yes.”
My attention strays to a pretty red-headed woman who stands beside him, an amused smile comes over her face as she gives me a once over.
“Pukey?”
“It’s Y/n.”
She blinks as she hears my name and something momentarily shifts in her gaze, and then her smile turns into a small smirk that unsettles me.
She reaches out her hand for me to shake but Damon pushes it down.
“Touching is a big no-go for Pukey,” He says and I fight back a small smile.
I turn my gaze back to the woman, “And your name?”
She smiles, “Sage. My name is Sage.”
No way. Not possible. Too easy. This can’t be Sage Sage. Finn’s Sage?!
“Rightttt,” I twiddle my thumbs trying to act casual, “And um how exactly do you know Damon?” “He used to be a student of mine.”
Damon smirks, “A longgggg time ago.”
Be casual Y/n. CASUAL.
“How old are you?”
Sage raises an amused brow, “Hasn’t anyone ever told you you should never ask a woman her age.”
“Well, I think that only applies to women who actually age,” I mutter and I see Damon roll his eyes.
“I’m a little over 900 years old. But, who's counting,” Her response has my stomach flipping and I’m fighting the urge to test if I can do a backflip. IT IS HER.
I mean it’s got to be, right? There can’t be that many 900-year-old vampires named Sage.
“Look what the cat dragged in,” Our attention is turned toward Bekah who joins us. An annoyed look is plastered on her face as she stares at Sage.
“Easy there Rebekah,” Damon chides, “She used to beat men for sport.”
“That’s a hobby I need to get into,” I remark and Sage sends me a smirk.
“She always was quite common,” Rebekah says. Oh yikes.
“Rebekah, what a happy surprise,” Sage responds.
“What are you doing here, Sage?”
“Well, I hear Finn was finally freed from that casket your rageaholic brother Klaus carted him around in.”
Ohhh. Yet another fan of my man.
“I wouldn’t be too harsh on my brother in front of Y/n here. I’ve heard soulmates have a tendency to get quite prickly when their other half is insulted. Not that you’d know,” Rebekah smirks, and I cringe and silently curse at her as everyone’s attentions go to me.
“I thought your name sounded familiar,” Sage eyes me and within a second Damon positions himself in front of me.
“Touching Pukey is a death sentence, Sage. I would advise against it,” Damon eyes the woman and she rolls her own.
“I’m not stupid enough to do that. But let’s be serious Damon I taught you everything you know. You can’t beat me.”
I position myself so I can see Damon’s face, “Oh, it’s not me you should be worried about. Yes, Pukey here is under my protection, but I’m not the one who would torture you until you're begging for your death. That falls upon…well let’s see,” He picks up his hand and starts counting on his fingers, “Klaus “The Great Evil” Mikeaelson, his noble brother Elijah, the annoying one Kol, Barbie over here, and last but not least your boy toy Finn. Along with all the other supernaturals of Mystic Falls.”
Sage looks from Damon to Bekah who just nods in agreement, “I hate to agree with the bastard but he’s telling the truth. Going against Y/n is going against the Mikaelsons.”
Sage clears her throat, “Well it’s a good thing I mean her no harm then.”
“Yep…sure is,” I mutter.
“Now where can I find Finn?”
“Probably somewhere forgetting all about you,” Rebekah remarks and then reaches over and wraps her arm in mind, “Come, I’ll buy us lunch.”
Before Bekah can fully pull me away I lean towards Sage, “Have Damon give you my number and I can help you.”
Sage’s eyebrows furrow but she still nods.
—
Well, that was a bust.
Rebekah canceled our lunch once she got into the car. After talking to Damon and Sage, Rebekah told me she had forgotten her coat and would meet me back at her car. But when she came back 10 minutes later she was more annoyed and volatile than usual, muttering something about Damon being a dick and other profanities. She apologized to me and said she’d have to rain-check our lunch date to a time when she didn’t feel like murdering everyone around her. I told her not to worry about it and that I wasn’t hungry.
I lied. I’m fucking starving and now I’m home looking at a bare fridge since my mother hasn’t gone grocery shopping in however long. I don’t want to have to go out and get something but at this point, it’s either go and deal with people at the grocery store or starve.
Starving might be better.
I grab my keys though when I realize that Theo still needs to eat dinner. I fling open the front door and- FUCK!
“Fuck me!”
“I’ve been trying, Luv.”
My eyes narrow and my cheeks warm as I stare at Klaus who is watching me with a soft smirk.
“What the hell are you doing here,” I huff out and clutch my chest.
“Well, it’s good to see you as well,” The hybrid replies sarcastically.
I give him a deadpan look and he rolls his eyes.
“My dear sister told me she had to cancel lunch with you so I thought I would ask you if you would accompany me instead.”
I feel a small smile make its way onto my face, “Are you asking me on a date?”
Klaus eyes me for a moment before turning his attention to the chipping white paint of the front door frame.
“I suppose.”
“Damn, don’t sound too excited,” I mutter sarcastically.
Klaus huffs and looks back at me, “That’s not what I…I just meant that” A look of frustration comes over his face while I watch in amusement.
“For being as old as you are you would think you’d be better at this whole date thing,” I smirk at him.
“Well none of the ones before ever mattered the way you do,” Klaus seems to respond without thinking.
I wring my hands and Klaus and I eye each other for a moment before I look away.
“Well, sadly I can’t go out for lunch since my fantastic mother seems to have forgotten to get any groceries for our house. Which means once again I have to go out and get them myself.”
A wave of sadness washes over me and I look to see Klaus’ shoulders drop slightly.
` “But…if you want to come,” I point towards my car, “Shopping with me. I could always have your super strength carry the bags.”
I doubt a one-thousand-year-old hybrid wants to spend his afternoon grocery shopping when he has enemies to fight and-
“I’ll come.”
—
“Princess, I’m immortal and yet with the way you’re driving I fear for my life,” Klaus’ voice comes out sarcastically but with the way I can see him frantically eyeing the road from his position in the passenger seat, I don’t think he’s joking.
I press my foot on the gas as I pass an old woman in a red Ford, “You’re being dramatic. Look we’re here.”
Forgetting my blinker, I whip my car into the small grocery store parking lot and slam it into park.
“See we’re here,” I turn to smile at Klaus but I find him staring wide-eyed at me.
“Is this how you drive all the time?”
I shrug, take the keys out of the ignition, and open my door, “I’ve got places to be, why would I wait in traffic?”
Klaus gets out of the car as well and meets me at the trunk as we begin to walk into the small grocery store, “You passed 4 cars in a 10-minute drive.”
“They were going too slow.”
“You were going 20 over the speed limit,” Klaus’ frustrated voice makes me laugh.
Klaus is quiet for a moment as we reach the automatic door. I turn to him and question and it takes him a second to snap out of whatever stupor he was in.
“What was that all about,” I ask as I grab a cart and lean the front of my body on it.
“Nothing,” Klaus denies as we pass an elderly couple arguing over bananas, “I just don’t get to hear your laugh very often.”
I shrug and smirk at him as we approach the produce section, “Ever think it might just be because you’re not as funny as you think you are?”
“Nope,” Klaus says as he grabs a produce bag and hands it to me.
“Of course not.”
` The bickering couple and the overhead music of an old pop song are the only things heard as I put different fruits and vegetables into plastic bags as Klaus follows behind me. Every time one of my bags gets full Klaus is right there with another. I stare at the cart momentarily and nod.
“I think that's all for produce,” Klaus walks beside me, looks down at the cart, and nods as well.
“What next?”
I stop for a moment and look up at the man everyone else in this town is terrified of and laugh under my breath before turning back towards the cart, pushing it towards the dairy section.
“What was that,” Klaus points a finger at me.
“I just find this funny,” I say simply.
“Find what funny?”
“You,” I grab a gallon of milk when we hit the aisle, “Being here. Grocery shopping. Everyone else in this town is probably trying to plan your demise and here you are shopping for 2% Low-fat milk,” I say as I put the milk in the cart.
“Well, personally I prefer 1%,” His sarcastic reply has me shaking my head, “And yes I know your little friends our out there planning my great demise but…until my death is imminent, which it isn’t if domestic shopping is what you and I do together than,” He grabs a bottle of $3 wine off the shelf and glances at it for a moment before cringing in disgust and putting it back, “Than that’s what we shall do.”
I think about his words as we walk through the store and grab other items, from cereal to pasta, and random snacks, and from time to time, Klaus will throw in his own items.
I lift on my tip toes as I try to grab the sauce can that is on the very top shelf. I hear Klaus mutter a laugh from behind me before I feel his hand place itself on my upper waist to move me out of the way.
“Is it really that hard for you to ask for help,” He comments as he grabs the can with ease and places it into the cart.
“Yes.”
Klaus rolls his eyes but the ghost of a smile on his lips tells me he was already certain of what my answer would be.
I turn back towards the cart and sigh, “I think that’s it.”
Klaus nods and follows behind me as we walk towards the checkout line.
—
“Oh come on, Theo!”
I growl and Klaus, who is putting all the groceries from the cart and onto the checkout stand instantly looks up.
“What’s wrong?”
“Theo just asked me to get his stupid gummy worms,” I look at the cashier clerk, who is slowly ringing in each item, and then look to Klaus.
“Can you-”
“Go,” Is all he says and I’m running towards the candy aisle to find Theo’s stupid ass gummies.
After way too long I find them squished in between some chocolate and peanuts and run back towards the checkout line where the clerk is giving Klaus a dirty look, but he doesn’t seem to notice or care.
I look at all our bagged groceries and swear under my breath, giving the gummies to the clerk.
“Sorry for the hold-up,” I apologize and I hear a scratchy laugh from behind me.
I turn to see the old woman and man from before waiting in line behind us. She smiles thoughtfully as she leans towards me.
“You’ve got a good man here,” She points to Klaus who is clearly pretending not to eavesdrop, “She kept telling him he had to pay and you’d just have to go back at the end of the line but he wouldn’t budge.”
I turn to look at Klaus but frown when I see him swipe his card through the reader.
“Dude!”
Klaus punches in his pin and just shrugs, “You’re friend over there is still talking to you.”
“He even pays for you,” I turn back to the woman who is looking dreamily at Klaus and if she were 50 years younger I’d probably fight her for looking at him that way. Might still now.
“I have to drag my old bastard here by the ear just to get him up in the morning, let alone to the store with me,” She points to the man beside her who rolls his eyes before placing a kiss on her cheek.
“Love you too, My Everly,” The man says as he puts their groceries on the stand. And even though the woman tries to play it tough the look of love and admiration she has in her eyes gives her true feelings away.
“Married for 47 years and he still knows how to get on every one of my nerves,” She mutters lovingly, “Make sure to keep that one though. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a man look at a woman the way he does to you. When you have something like that child, grab it and don’t let go. And it helps that he’s quite easy on the eyes.”
I nod and bid her goodbye. I turn to Klaus who is waiting by the entrance of the store with our bagged groceries and a knowing look on his face.
“Have a good chat?”
“Oh shut up,” I mutter as I punch him in the shoulder.
“I am easy on the eyes aren’t I?”
Klaus smirks to himself while sighing, “You Mikaelsons need to work on your egos. I swear to God.”
“All of our egos are very much healthy and intact, thank you very much.”
“Ya…that’s the problem.”
—
“Cans go in that shelf over there, Klaus,” I point to the middle shelf right in front of Klaus and he nods, putting the cans of vegetables into the cabinet.
We got back home 20 minutes ago and after Klaus helped me lug all the groceries in, the ones he paid for, he then just started unloading them and placing them into cabinets and the fridge. It’s been almost comical to watch Klaus’ tall frame try to maneuver around in my tiny kitchen, but somehow he’s managed.
“Remind me to buy you a bigger house,” I hear him mutter and I laugh.
“Yes, please do. And make sure it has a big ass library,” I point at him, “Oh! And I want one of those built-in window chairs, so I can read while seeing the stars at night,” I nod at him jokingly but as I stare at the look on his face I freeze.
“That was a joke, Klaus. I know what you’re thinking,” I put my finger in his face and he gives me an innocent look, “Don’t you dare buy me a house. I’ve come to learn how you Mikaelsons like to throw your money around and I don’t want any part of it.”
Klaus gives me an upside-down smile and nods.
“Oh! That reminds me,” I grab the last grocery bag and start dumping out the contents, “Remind me to give your brother back the expensive ass jewelry he gave me for the ball.”
Klaus grabs a loaf of bread and places it in the bread box, “Good luck with that, Luv. My brother can be more stubborn than I am when it comes to you.”
I put a hand on my hip, “Elijah? Stubborn? I highly doubt that.”
The kitchen is quiet for a moment before a loud laugh comes out of Klaus’ mouth. I pause what I’m doing and find myself smiling as I watch the pretty man in front of me.
“Luv,” Klaus manages to get out between laughs, “The only reason you haven’t seen that side of my older brother is because he hasn’t let you…or really doesn’t want you to see that side of him. Don’t get me wrong, Elijah is noble,” Klaus rolls his eyes, “Annoyingly so. But he is also the pettiest being I have come across in over a thousand years. There is no one I know that will play dirtier than him when it comes to protecting the people he cares about. And you luv,” Klaus takes a step closer to me so he can reach out to grab a piece of my hair and twirl it between his fingers, “Are at the top of his list of loved ones.”
—-
“Well this was almost not horrible,” I tell Klaus as I walk him to the front door.
Klaus snorts sarcastically, “And that was almost a compliment. You and I are making great progress.”
I roll my eyes and open the door for him and his smirk drops, “But in all honesty, Y/n… I-,” Klaus pauses as if he’s having a hard time trying to find the words.
“Me too Klaus. Thank you for coming with me today. It was nice not having to do it by myself like usual.”
Klaus smiles, “You know I could always hire someone to do your shopping for you.”
I raise an eyebrow, “You mean compel someone?”
Klaus’ upper lip quirks, “I never said that.”
I tilt my head, “You didn’t need to.”
Klaus rolls his eyes playfully before shrugging, “Well whenever you get tired of mundane shopping let me know, Luv.”
“Goodbye, Klaus,” I push him outside and he lets me.
“Goodbye, Luv.”
—
“Who is this?”
I pad around the kitchen with my bowl of ice cream as I answer an unknown call.
“Sage. Damon’s friend from earlier. You told me to get your number from him,” The feminine voice makes my eyes widen and I place my ice cream down on the counter.
“Oh! Hi! How are you?”
“Um, I’m alright. How are you,” Her tone comes out slightly confused.
“Eh, eating ice cream. What can I help you with Sage?”
“Finding my beloved, Finn.”
Oh, shit ya.
“Oh right, ya me and Finn and tight. He’s been waiting for you,” I say as I take a spoonful of ice cream and put it into my mouth.
“He has,” The hopefulness in her voice makes me smile.
“Umhm. And you didn’t hear this from me but he thinks you are his soulmate.”
Sage is quiet for a moment, “I know he’s mine. Will you help me find him?”
“Ya, sure when do you want to meet?”
“Now?”
Her rushed tone makes me pause and look at my fluffy bunny slippers, PJ shorts and my “I Heart my Turtle” shirt.
“It’s 10 pm?”
“Yes, I know… please Y/n, I’ve waited 900 years for this moment. I can’t wait another second.”
I pinch the bridge of my nose, “Um ya sure…I’ll text you my address.”
—-
“You’re not going to try to kill me right?”
Sage, who stands at the front of my door raises an eyebrow, “If I even thought about causing you harm Klaus and Elijah would be here in under a minute ripping me to shreds.”
I nod. Good Point.
“Come in.”
Sage takes a hesitant step over the threshold and into my small entryway.
“Your house is…”
I roll my eyes, “What? Quaint?”
“Homey,” Sage smiles softly, “It looks like a home,” She takes off her jacket and holds it in her arms, “The only thing that kept me going after Klaus daggered my Finn was the hope that one day he and I could have something like this… something that we could call our home.”
I fight the urge to let out a loud “awww.”
“Well then, we shouldn’t keep Finn waiting,” I grab my jacket and place it over my PJ shirt.
“Wait…”
I turn at Sage’s voice and my stomach drops when I see the guilty look on her face.
“Please tell me you're not actually going to kill me,” I raise my hands up in a fighting stance and she shakes her head.
“No, but… you’re helping me out of the kindness of your heart so I have to admit something to you…”
I stand there completely quiet and still as she goes on to tell me the information she’s done tonight. From having a threesome with Damon and Bekah (gross) to going into Bekah’s mind to learn that Wickery Bridge was actually made from the same tree that the white oak came from and that if the Salvatore’s got a hold of it they’d kill the Mikaelsons.
“So…what do we do?”
Sage shakes her head, “I don’t know.”
We stand there in silence for a moment before a Theo-level-bad-idea comes to my mind, “I’m going to propose something. But if the cops show up you’re compelling us out of there.”
Sage gives me a worried look.
—
“Ok,” I put my hands on Sage’s shoulders and positioned her in the doorway out of sight, “You stay here and I’ll go get him. When I tell you to come in, you can.”
Sage eyes my hands, “I thought you had a thing about touch? And also why can’t I just come in with you now?” I shrug, “1. After what we just did, I’d say we bonded so I feel like our relationship has progressed, and also I’m touching you over your clothes…it’s skin-to-skin that irks me. And 2. Obviously for dramatic effect.”
I excitedly turn around and whip open the front door to the Mikaelson Mansion, catching the last of Sage muttering something about me fitting right in with the Mikaelsons.
“PHINEAS!!!”
“Bloody hell, Little Doll,” A sarcastic British voice has me rolling my eyes, “We’re all immortal here. No need for the yelling.”
I turn and meet Kol’s brown eyes.
“My bad. Wheres Finn?”
“Elskan?”
“Is that Y/n?”
“Luv, miss me already?”
Elijah, Bekah, and Klaus all enter the foyer with combined looks of confusion, whilst Kol is approaching me with an amused look on his face.
“And what’s with the outfit? You have a turtle?”
I shake my head, “No.”
Kol just frowns.
Elijah, still dressed in his suit even though it’s past midnight, hastily approaches me, “Elskan what’s wrong? Are you alright?”
“Chill, Elijah,” I smile at him which seems to make him relax a bit, “I’m good. I fulfilling a duty I have for your brother.”
“For me,” Klaus’ annoying smirk is plastered on his face as his eyes roam my body.
“No,” I glare at him and point to my face, “And my face is up here.”
Klaus smiles but turns his attention back to my face.
“Y/N?”
My attention turns towards the top of the stairs where Finn is now standing and I have the fight the urge to ruin the surprise right now.
“I have something for you Finn,” I bounce on the heels of my toes and he descends the grand staircase.
“For me?”
Finn’s unsure look only makes me more excited as I nod my head hastily.
“You can come out now,” I call behind me and all the Mikaelson instantly tense up, probably thinking it’s a threat.
I don’t even have to look behind me to know Sage has entered the room because I’m looking at the utterly bewildered look on Finn’s face.
“Sage? Is that you?”
Finn takes slow steps closer to Sage and I.
“It’s me, Finn… I’ve missed you so much,” As soon as Sage says that Finn is running to embrace her.
I feel my cheeks start to hurt from smiling so hard as I watch the couple kiss, embrace, and, share quiet words with one another.
“You did this?”
I look away to find Elijah at my side with a soft expression on his face.
I nod and look back at the couple, “At the ball Finn and I talked and I told him I’d help him find Sage. I wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to do it… but she kinda just showed up thankfully. Not that Finn needs to know the last part,” I whisper to Elijah.
Elijah doesn’t respond which makes me turn back to him. Once again he has the earth-shattering look in his eyes that makes my knees feel like they’re going to buckle.
“Why are you looking at me like that,” I mutter as I try to go back to looking at Sage and Finn so I don’t have to look at him.
“Because I love you.”
Oh.
OH.
I whip my head back towards Elijah so fast I think I might’ve pulled something and stare at him wide-eyed.
“Nuh-uh.”
Elijah’s eyebrows furrow but his lip twitches letting me know he’s finding my reaction entertaining, “Nuh uh?”
“Ya, nuh uh?”
“Well, I do.”
“Nope.”
Elijah lets out a soft sigh, “You’ll accept the love I have for you one day…but even if today isn’t that day I want you to know it. That I do.”
I side-eye the man standing next to me bite down hard on my lip and nod.
“Hold up,” Kol’s annoying voice pierces the air breaking everyone from their conversations.
“What now, Kol?”
I would laugh at Klaus’ annoyed tone if it weren’t for the state of shock I’m currently in.
“Why do the two of you smell like gasoline?”
Everyone in the rooms stops, and I watch as they smell the air and then turn to Sage and I. Sage turns to me though with a raised eyebrow.
“Breaking News,” The loud voice of a newscaster comes from the living room beside us, “Mystic Falls historic Wickery Bridge, has been burned down. Police and firefighters are currently at the scene. Was this a natural fire or something more criminal? When we find out you’ll be the first to know. This is Margot Fell reporting live from Channel 9 news.”
I blink and blow out a low breath as I turn back to the Mikaelsons who already have their eyes glued on me.
“Sooo, Sage and I have something to tell you.”

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐆𝐄 The originals x Org fem teen reader
Chap 1: ʜᴀʀᴅ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴀʏ ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ʟᴏᴠᴇ.
Summary: For as long as she could remember, fourteen-year-old maisie buckley used to have strange dreams, about people she had never met and scenarios that only she could believe would happen in movies or fantasy series, dreams that had faded with the passage of time. However, after suffering an accident, those dreams reappeared, leaving her to believe that they were a figment of her imagination due to post-traumatic stress disorder. But as time went by, Maisie began to realize that most of her “dreams” seemed to want to leave her a message or give her a sign about something, and although that seemed to be all, her situation seemed to get worse when she accidentally touched her classmate's hands, causing her to go into a trance and see blurry images. Confused and frightened by those recurring “dreams”, maisie finds herself trying to find answers about her strange dreams, until she arrives at the store of a voodoo witch, who seeing her desperation helps her search for some answer to her condition, her search resulted in a small town, New orleans. Without hesitation, maisie buckley leaves her life in boston behind, and upon arriving in new orleans finds more questions than answers to answer her questions, being rescued from a coven of witches along with a woman and becoming involved in a strange connection with those who claimed to be the originals, the first vampires created on earth. The mikaelson brothers.
Words: 2774 Warnings: Mention of blood, hand cuts, spells, mention of abandonment and an adoption (nothing dark or dangerous at the moment).
Autor's note: Hello, I'm back after a long time and with a new story. I recently rewatched one of my favorite series, The originals and with the passing of the chapters, I remembered that I had a fanfic about this series saved in one of my drafts on wattpad. I read it, rewrote it and thought, why not share it on tumblr?, and well, here I am with the first chapter of this series about the strange connection of a teenager of almost fifteen years old with my favorite family and the loves of my life, yes yes, I'm talking about Niklaus and elijah. Anyway, I'm going to base it from the first chapter of the first season of The originals. Although this chapter focuses a little more before the arrival of maisie to new orleans and what led her to go there.I apologize in advance with the spelling and grammatical errors that you will find during the reading, I usually use google translator to write in English, because well, my English is not so good, but hey, I'm still learning. Without further ado.
I hope you enjoy reading it!
PD: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
There were many things that Maisie did not like in her short life. She did not like small spaces, heights, or strange, disturbing, or uncomfortable situations. Although she wouldn't have to feel uncomfortable since she had gone to that strange store on her own.
It was not normal to her to see stuffed animals on show. But it was even more disturbing to her that they seemed to be looking at her whole soul. "This is very uncomfortable", she thought. She had read and seen TV programmes about people using taxidermy to preserve an animal's body for scientific study, or people doing this with their own pets to feel they were still with them.
━━━Terrible━━━ she muttered. The child ignored the animals and continued to explore the shop. Until she came to a shelf full of crystal balls. A little curious, she carefully picked up one of the spheres. Fascinated, she watched the small flashes of light contrasting with the shop light on the crystal ball.
━━━Careful with that Crystal ball kid, it's very expensive━━━━━The young girl jumped, surprised and frightened when she heard the woman's resulting voice.
Feeling the loud pounding of her heart, Maisie turned her head to find a woman with dark skin, her hair covered in a silk fabric, and an outfit that reminded her of Marie Laveau from her favorite show, played by Angela Basset.
Taking a deep breath, she leaves the crystal ball on the shelf and speaks with a slight stutter.
━━━━I'm sorry, ma'am.━━━━She excused herself quietly as she watched the woman cautiously approach her.
━━━What is it that brings a little thing like you to such a strange place?. You seem very young to be here, my dear ━━she questioned with a lifted eyebrow, looking at her as if she wanted to analyze her.
When she saw his questioning look, Maisie gripped the string of her backpack nervously, trying to formulate the right words to say to her.
━━━I…emm. I read on your website that you are one of the best 'Tarot Readers' in the city, Miss. Aisha Boudreaux━━━━ The woman looked at her again as she heard her call her a 'Tarot Reader'.
She said to herself, "So she already knows"
━━━And-and I came to your shop because I need your help. Please. ━━━she replied shyly..
The woman named aisha looked at her for a few seconds. She watched as she nervously held the strap of her purse and stuttered as she spoke. Then she cautiously lifted her hand and lifted the young girl faces. Her eyes showed curiosity as she looked at the girl's face.
"Her aura, it's… strange. I've never seen this kind of aura on anyone other than… no, it can't be" thought the woman, feeling exalted for a moment "is it her…? No, it can't be, she's too…young" Trying to ignore her thoughts, Aisha spoke.
━━━I can see in your eyes that something is troubling you, little one. I can't tell you what it is, but I know for sure that you've come to the right place….━━━Her gaze softened, noticing the small teenager's frightened eyes, she took a step back and held out her hand━━━Come with me, Maisie Buckley, I know you have many things you want to resolve.━━━Watching the woman's outstretched hand, Maisie stood still for a few seconds, watching her own hands covered in old gloves, then looked back at her.
A million thoughts went through her head, she was unsure if she should trust the woman, but she had gone to her shop for a reason, and that was that she needed answers, one way or the other, and Mrs. Boudreaux seemed to be the right person for the job.
She hadn't been on the road for almost an hour and had searched the Internet to get to her store for nothing, and she desperately needed answers.
She shook her head, swallowed some saliva, and smiled a little as she took the woman's hand.
━━━I trust you…━━━Boudreaux nodded softly as she began to walk away from the lobby. Maisie followed her, hoping that Mrs. Boudreaux might be able to help her.
It was now or never.
It had been about twenty minutes, twenty minutes since Boudreaux had taken her to a secluded room in the shop, where the two of them sat at her tarot table, surrounded by animal and human skulls (Maisie hoped the skulls were completely fake), candles lit in every corner of the room, and a cup of hot tea in her hands, which were almost empty and lukewarm.
Maisie had taken the time to give her a brief explanation of what had happened to her over the past few months. She had also made a brief plea for his help with her situation.
Now, standing in front of the witch, she watched as Boudreaux carefully placed her own mug on the table, her face was neutral, but the young teenager knew deep down she was worried about her situation, deep inside. She couldn't read minds, but when she saw Aisha's restless eyes, Maise could tell that something was going on in her head, and she wanted to ask her what it was, but she didn't want to interrupt her thoughts.
"After years…. But she is too young, what did they want, how did they restore her visions?" With a small sigh, Boudreaux speak.
━━━I've heard several stories about situations like this.━━━━Maisie looked at her intently for a moment. Were there any other people out there with the same problem as she had?━━━Tell me, dear, have you ever heard of clairvoyants?━━━The teenage hesitated to answer.
Even if she could say yes, Maisie was sure she would only named Alice Cullen from Twilight and Ethan Morgan from My Nanny Is a Vampire or some other fictional character she knew with that kind of gift. And since she was sure she would answer that, and since Mrs. Boudreaux would reproach her, she decided to answer.
━━━Only in fictional series or movies━━━━━She replied quickly, smiling innocently, the woman rolled her eyes but nodded anyway.
━━━Well, I'll stick with you having an idea of what they are….━━━Maisie nodded, not wanting to interrupt her━━━….You have a gift, child. You are a kind of seer who can only see visions through touch, be they future or past━━━When she saw Maisie open her mouth, the woman raised her hand and silenced her immediately━━━ and before you speak, yes, I know about that show about a vampire nanny, which I find absurd but entertaining━━━he teenager smiled and nodded.
Al verla entender, la bruja asintió para si misma.
━━━Good. Before we continue━━━She moved her empty cup away from the centre of the table━━━I have to ask you, do you have any relatives who have been in this situation in the past? Or anything like that?━━━Maisie quickly denied with a small grimace.
Maisie knew she was adopted. Her parents always told the truth about how she came to be with them. They were worried that something would change in their family after she told them about the day she came to live with them. Maisie was never upset or angry, though. She was grateful and happy that they were her parents, even if they weren't her biological parents. She never talked about it with anyone, except her school friend Amy.
━━━N-no…━━━She cleared her throat a little before continuing.━━━ see, I…I'm adopted. And I doubt that my mother or father came from a line of visionaries and magically passed on that gift to me….She replied shortly, almost in a tone of sarcasm that made her eyes widen, astonished at her own audacity.
Boudreaux smiled, nodding his head in understanding.
━━━It's… understandable━━━she said, ignoring the girl's sarcastic tone━━━so we can assume that it could be from your biological family's side…━━━Masie stood still, feeling a slight discomfort at the mention of her biological family.
Seeing her reaction, the woman raised an eyebrow
━━━You've never tried to look for clues about them, have you?━━━Masie denied, pursing her lips.
━━━No. All I know, and all my parents have told me, is that I was left on their doorstep without a note or a clue.━ She spoke, vaguely remembering the story of how she'd arrived on that rainy spring day fifteen years ago.
Boudreaux nodded as she considered how to help her, not wanting to be too obvious about her situation, she had an idea of what was going on but wasn't sure it would happen. Until an idea flashed through her head, a spell.
━━━Well, since we don't have any names or clues, I guess I'll have to use another method. A tracking spell━ Maisie watched as the woman abruptly rose from her seat. Boudreaux approached a shelf and looked around for what she needed, until their gaze landed on a particular shelf.
━━━Well, I need a map…here it is, a dagger…this one's fine, and a necklace…━━━As she finished searching for her items, the witch approached the table, leaving the things on it and then looked at the girl━━━And I'm also going to need some of your blood, little one.━━━The teenager's eyes widened in surprise.
━━━My--what?'━━━ she asked in disbelief.
━━━Your blood, silly.━━━She said as she arranged her magical items and placed a small dagger in front of her━━━If you want to know the origin of your seer power, you must know how to ask the right people, and when I say the right people, I mean your biological family.
Maisie looked uncertainly at the dagger on the table, then at her own gloved hands, almost petrified and shocked at what she had to do to find the answer to her now Seer's gift.
If she really wanted to know more about the background of her power and put an end to her strange but not so strange dreams, she had to face her biological family, even if she didn't feel ready to.
━━━All right, I'll do it…━━━she agreed firmly. Boudreaux nodded. With shaking hands, Maisie took the small dagger from the table.
━━━You can use either hand. Cut your palm above the map. When I say stop, cover your hand with the gauze━━━She demanded, pointing to the small box of sterile gauze that had been set aside.
As she watched her get things in order, Maisie took off her left glove, left it on the table and waited for Boudreaux to tell her when to cut off the palm of her hand.
The woman looked at her and nodded.
Maisie complied and placed her hand on the map, shuddering at the sting of the dagger blade slicing through her palm as she watched drops of blood fall onto the parchment.
━━━That's enough, sweetheart━━━Listening to her, the girl put the bloody dagger down on the table with a clatter and used her other hand to cover her injured hand with some gauze to stop the bleeding.
It was only a few seconds before she was surprised to hear the witch whispering strange words, 'Must be Latin,' she thought. She watched as Aisha held the necklace in one hand and pointed directly to where the drops of blood were, a small gust of wind came out of nowhere and surprised her as she saw the fire of the burning candles moving restlessly.
But what surprised her most was seeing the drops of blood, her blood, coalesce into a stain, moving from one side to the other of the map.
Her curious green eyes watched the movement with attention and wonder, until the droplets formed a circle around a particular city.
Realising the spell was over, Mrs Boudreaux opened her eyes and looked at the small circle of blood, frowning.
"The images were blurry. They move back and forth. What's going on in New Orleans?" she wondered inwardly. She hadn't managed to see the faces of the girl's biological family, but she did see two of them moving very fast, as if they were looking for something or someone.
Maisie had heard about the city from her parents, who had always told her about their honeymoon in New Orleans and how they had loved touring the city, listening to the jazz music that filled the streets, tasting the delicious food and the stories of the creatures that lurked in the night.
━━━Your birth family, child. Looks like they're in New Orleans, little Buckley━━━she commented, looking away from the map as it met the girl's green eyes━━━You know, if you're thinking of going there, I'm warning you.
Maisie looks at her attentively.
━━━Beware of old witches, they may seem harmless, but believe me, they are the worst━━━Hearing his serious voice and look, Maisie nodded quickly━━━And don't trust Agnes either, she's a harpy and a psychopath.
Curious about the warning to these people, Maisie wanted to ask who they were, but one look from Boudreaux told her everything. They were dangerous.
━━━All right━━━she replied, putting her glove back on. When she was finished, the young girl fumbled in one of her pockets until she pulled out a few notes, raised her head and smiled, holding the money out to the woman.━━━Here, thank you for your help.
Boudreaux quickly rejected the offer and refused to take the money..
━━━Oh, no, darling. No need, I did it as a favour for a friend. Besides, you'll need the money for your trip.━━━ The teenager hesitated, but eventually agreed. Watching her arrange her bag, Boudreaux approached and held out the dagger.━━━And before you go, here. You'll need this. For protection━━━she said. She saw the small dagger, already clean, tucked away in a small leather pouch. Maisie took it carefully and nodded to herself.
━━━Thank you. Aisha━━━she said, and the woman smiled at her.
━━━You're welcome, Maisie. Good luck on your trip, and if you need any help, give me a call. You already have my number in your bag━━━Curious, Maisie reached into her bag and found the little piece of paper with her number on it.
━━━I will.━━━Before opening the door to the shop, the young girl gave the witch a final nod and said goodbye with a small smile.
As the door closed with the sound of the bell, Boudreaux had a sigh of relief.
━━━Diaval!━━━Shout. Suddenly there was a loud whimpering sound and the flapping of a bird as it approached.
Feeling the bird's pointed talons on his right shoulder, Boudreaux turned his head to find the raven's smooth black plumage and head looking straight ahead as it cawed.
Boudreaux walked up to the door and stepped out onto the veranda.
━━━Keep an eye on the girl and look after her if you can. There is something about her that is both attractive and powerful━━━Murmured.
The crow cawed again.
━━━Watch her from a distance and let me know if anything goes wrong. I made a promise to Cass and Evan: she must be safe from whatever comes━━━With a final caw, the raven lifted its wings and flew away from the house, following the young teenager from a distance.
The night after her meeting with Aisha Boudreaux, Maisie started packing: clothes, books, her mobile phone and a burner phone, as well as her savings and allowance from her tutor, her Aunt Callie. The next day, her aunt dropped her off at school and Maisie waited for her car to leave the car park to catch the next bus to the station. But before she left, there was something she had to do.
Standing on the grass with two small bouquets of flowers in her hands, the young woman looked around her. She noticed that trees surrounded her and that there were few people around. She looked down and wistfully read the names on the gravestones.
Beloved friends, children and parents, Cassandra Dianne Buckley and Steven Evans Buckley.
With a small sigh, she bent down and placed the bouquets on each headstone, removing the wilted flowers and leaving the new ones in their place. When she had finished, she straightened up again.
━━━I would have liked you both to come with me on this journey. I know they will be angry, wherever you guys are, and I know it will be a dangerous journey, but…━━━ She sigh, letting out a wry smile━━━I promise I will try to stay out of harm's way. If it doesn't get to me first, Aunt Callie will go mad, but I've left her a letter, as well as Amy. I think they'll both understand why I've decided to leave. I promise it won't be for long, I'll come back and leave them flowers like I do every Friday. I promise…━━━A small silence fell over the place.
With one last look at her parents' gravestones she smiled regretfully.
━━━I love you mom, i love you dad. I miss you both, a lot.━━━With these last words, Maisie walked slowly away from the cemetery.
Saying goodbye to her loved ones was always difficult for Maisie; she had said it before at the funeral, to her aunt and her friend, and again to her parents.
She didn't know how long her little adventure was going to take, but she was hoping to be back home soon.

NEW ORLEANS, 1970
Strobe lights went all across the room, music blaring, but I could barely tell what song was playing, too distracted by what I was doing—or, rather, who I was about to do. I ran my fingers through his hair while his hand crept up my skirt, our kiss getting more passionate by the second.
His name didn't matter. All I cared about was the fun we were about to have.
"Why don't we take this somewhere more private," he mumbled in between kisses.
I nodded against him, giving him one last kiss before whispering in his ear. "Back alley." The fact that I was drunk didn't stop me from leading us across the dance floor to the back where I'd been many times before. I knew the owner—who was also a really good kisser—and so I knew where to go.
I felt the cold air hit us as soon as we got outside, despite feeling so hot. As soon as the door closed, I turned around, intending on pulling him back in for a kiss, but I almost staggered back when I saw the same man I was kissing just moments ago with veins crawling underneath his eyes, fangs protruding in his mouth.
What the fuck?
I quickly sobered up, baring my own fangs at him. The atmosphere went from hot and sexy to dark in an instant.
His eyes widened. While his voice was surprised, there was still an undertone of hostility. "You're a vampire?"
I narrowed my eyes. "You didn't know?" God, how drunk was he? I smelt that he was a night crawler immediately. Clearly, he thought I was a human and wanted to leave so he could suck me dry.
That wasn't happening. For obvious reasons.
He cursed under his breath. For a second, I thought we'd get back to what we were doing; I mean, I just cleared this up. I was gonna be generous and continue to make out with him in spite of the fact that he just tried to kill me, but this dude just had to kill my fun, too.
He tried charging at me, but my magic worked faster than even vamp speed. Quickly, I rushed, "Motus!" and he was sent flying into the wall. My eyes widened. Fuckkkkkk, man.
I just wanted to get laid.
I wasn't supposed to do that. I was supposed to punch him, maybe snap his neck—I was supposed to do something that a vampire would do. A vampire doesn't just move things with their mind.
I thought I was soberer than that, but it seemed that the alcohol was still affecting me because I just sent a fucking vampire flying. Shock was all over the guy's face, his pretty, pretty face that I just wanted to have a good time with.
Fuck. Now I'd have to kill him.
He remained against the wall, but he didn't wait much longer before firing questions at me. "What the hell was that-"
I cut him off, "Look, man, I wasn't planning on doing a lot of talking with you tonight." Annoyance laced my voice. He didn't respond as quickly, just looking at me with an extremely analyzing gaze. I didn't doubt that he was confused. People don't just come across people like me.
He was silent until it looked like a light bulb went off in his head. "Tribrid," he muttered under his breath, almost like I wasn't meant to hear it, but I did.
My blood went cold. "What did you just say?" I asked, but he ignored me, continuing to mutter under his breath.
"I knew a guy once—he was half wolf, half vampire." If he didn't have my attention before, he sure as hell did now. Because I only knew one person that matched that description, and that was Klaus Mikaelson.
My body went rigid while the guy took little notice, seeming to put together a bunch of puzzle pieces in his head. "Yeah-" he paused, looking up at me, "I've heard chatter. Witches saying something about a... triangle: werewolf, vampire... and witch."
Chatter? He's heard chatter? A thousand things went through my mind at once. That was impossible. Nobody knew about me. I just got to this city; there was no way witches have managed to decipher a secret I've spent centuries keeping.
Against my will, my tone was now less calm. "I don't know what you're-"
"I think you do know what I'm talking about." The guy's eyes were hard as he stared right back at me. I thought he was just some baby vamp, but it appeared that he was proving me wrong. He took a step closer to me. "You're the tribrid, aren't you?"
I almost laughed, even though I was full of nerves while, just seconds ago, I was fine. "You must have a death wish," I remarked. Maybe I could've left him alone, convinced him to forget about my display of magic and just left town. But now he not only saw that, but he also knew exactly who I was and he'd go running to tell everyone else.
He had to go. It's a shame, though, I thought, he was such a good kisser.
I stepped closer to him and he immediately got the message, eyes widening again once he realized that I had the upper hand. "No, no," he said, raising his hands in surrender. "I promise you; you do not want to kill me."
I scoffed, "And why is that?"
"Listen, I hold a lot of influence around here-"
I scoffed again. "I really don't care." Throwing power around was a politician's move, and politicians only lied to you. I wasn't gonna take my chances.
I was walking towards him, taking one step forward for every step he took back until he blurted, "My name is Marcel Gerard." At this, I stopped. Marcel Gerard... I knew that name. I stood still, racking my brain until I realized why his name sounded so familiar.
Marcel Gerard literally ruled this city. I'd been in New Orleans for not even a few days yet you could hear vampires and witches alike mentioning him often.
Damnit. Of course, I not only meet the guy who the vampires in this city worship, but I also end up locking lips with him and have him find out what I am.
I just wanted to have fun.
He saw recognition on my face, causing his own to light up. "So, you know who I am." I nodded in response, exasperatedly rolling my eyes. All of this had completely caused my buzz to dissipate into thin air. "Look..." he trailed off, making a gesture with his hands.
I rolled my again. "Y/N."
"Look, Y/N, I know what you are. I figured it out in seconds. There's already speculation of a tribrid going around with the witches-"
"Get to the fucking point, Marcel, before I just decide to kill you. Believe me, I am not in the mood to deal with this right now."
He didn't waste any more time. "I can get the witches to back off and find something else to fixate on. I can bury just the thought of a tribrid being out there, Y/N," he emphasized.
I wonder just how dumb he thought I was. I shook my head. "So you want me not to kill you, just so you can go blab to whoever you see as soon as I leave you alone?" He shook his head right back at me.
"I won't say a thing, trust me." He paused. "We can help each other."
"Oh, c'mon-"
"No, I'm being serious," he asserted, no longer looking like he was backed into a corner but much more assured than before. "Killing me wouldn't do you any good. My people would search relentlessly for my killer, and the witches would only keep digging, possibly striking gold at some point. You keep me alive, and I can get rid of that for you."
I only stared at him with narrow eyes. He looked confident in the bar, that's what drew me to him, but I wasn't expecting anything like this. He had a point, but that didn't mean it was enough to stop me from killing him. And if I didn't like this city, then I'd kill him without any qualms and leave. But I do like this city. I want to stay here, and I knew I couldn't stay here with him dead and with the witches suspicious.
I couldn't afford to make enemies. Right now, what I needed were friends.
I'd already made up my mind, but Marcel didn't know that, still trying to get me to see a vision that I already understood. "We can make a good team, Y/N."
I didn't say anything for a few more seconds, thinking everything over in my mind. I could possibly be making the biggest mistake of my life right now, I thought. But I was already set. I kept my voice cold and devoid of emotion. "I'm giving you twenty-four hours to make this witch thing go away, Marcel."
A weight was lifted off his shoulders. "And I'll do just that." I wasn't gonna stick around much longer. This was already much more conversation than I was anticipating to have tonight, and we clearly weren't gonna have sex, so without another thought, I sped out of the alley.
Little did I know, that night marked the start of one of the rest of my life in New Orleans.
THE PRESENT
I was pulled out of my reverie when I saw Marcel came into my vision, sitting down on the chair opposite to me. We started out trying to kill each other, and now look: we were meeting for coffee.
I didn't trust him when I first met him, even after he made my problems with the witches disappear. That wasn't enough. And it also wasn't enough for him to insist I work with him. Those were things he was doing for his own benefit, so, of course, that didn't inspire my trust in him.
I only started trusting Marcel after he opened up to me about his past. Doing that, getting vulnerable with someone—that showed that you trusted them. And what better way to get someone to trust you than to show that you trust them?
I wasn't just reminiscing for the sake of it. The way Marcel got me to trust him was what I'd been forgetting throughout all my interactions with Klaus. I couldn't just ask him to trust blindly, the same way Marcel couldn't ask me to, or the same way I couldn't get the witches to.
I needed a show of good faith. The trick was just figuring out what.
"Hey, Y/N/N."
I nodded back to Cellie's greeting, pushing a tumbler over to his side of the table. While I actually liked coffee, Marcel wasn't a fan. "Got you your drink."
He grinned. "Ah, have I told you how much I love you recently?"
"Definitely not enough," I quipped back. "Now drink." His smile only got wider as he brought the tumbler up to his lips, sipping from his blood while I worked at finishing my Americano.
It's been about a week since I gave the contract to Klaus and went out with Marcel and Cami, who were now accepting the title of "dating" (after lots of resistance from Cami's side). Things have otherwise been quiet. I've been over to the Abattoir a few times to speak with Elijah, sometimes speaking to Hayley, and rarely talking to Klaus, but everything was fine if you didn't count the fact that he was still staring at me every time I came over.
You'd think that I'd be the one behaving that way after constantly seeing my father, his baby mama, and his brother, but nope. I've been calm; the whole Mikaelson thing has been getting to me less, but Klaus would look at me like he was trying to pick apart everything I said or did.
Sooner or later, it wouldn't matter how well I kept my secret. He was just gonna keep digging, so I needed to stop him before he struck gold.
"How's D been doing?" He asked, and the Mikaelsons were instantly pushed to the back of my mind. Davina had that effect.
"She's been good. Doing her school work, getting better with her magic by the day. You should come by for dinner soon, actually."
"Yeah, I-" he cut himself off when a "ping" sounded. He glanced down at his phone on the table, muttering a curse under his breath. When he looked back up at me, his expression was a mix of annoyance at the disturbance and apology. "Sorry, Y/N/N, I've gotta-"
"No, no, it's fine," I told him. "Go on and deal with it." He gave me a silent thank you before getting up, kissing my cheek in parting.
"I'll make it up to you. Dinner at mine," he said, walking away backwards. I smiled, telling him I'd see him later, and then he was out the door. Although we'd been sitting for all of one minute before he had to go, I wasn't irritated. He was getting back into the groove with the Quarter's happenings, so I'd be fully supportive.
I got up, throwing my empty coffee cup into the trash and walking out of the little café, mentally running over my schedule: housekeeping, then dinner with Marcel and Davina later. Right now, I'd go game plan my pitch to the vampires.
Or not.
Just as I was about to cross the street, a black car abruptly skirted in front of me, making me jump back. Before I could make anything of it, two men stepped out of it. Their expressions were practically lifeless, not a trace of emotion in sight.
"Get into the car," one of them ordered, causing me to furrow my brows. What the fuck?
I voiced my concerns not a moment later. "Excuse me?"
The other one stepped forward as if he was threatening me. I looked him up and down. Who the fuck was he stepping to like that? "Ma'am, you're gonna need to get into the car willingly before we force you to."
Force me to? I only stared at him, debating on whether or not I was gonna bash his head into the car he was threatening me to get into in front of any passers-by. I was then reminded of the exact thing I was on my way to work on: the peace pacts. If I exacted any violence, that wouldn't be setting the right example.
Still, though, I was tempted.
After a few seconds of eying them both, I realized I not only knew them, but I also understood what was happening here.
These were some of Marcel's old vampires.
And they were compelled.
Damnit. I glanced to the car behind them. I was willing to bet money that, inside that very car, sat Klaus. I rolled my eyes. A week ago, I would've been more put off by this, and I was, but I was more annoyed than anything.
I'd find some way to get him to trust me later, but if I didn't get into this car right now, then he'd only become even more suspicious of me, and I didn't need that.
I shook my head in disbelief that I was even gonna do this, gesturing for them to move so I could get into the car. One of them opened the back door for me and I got in.
I turned to my left, fully expecting Klaus to be sitting next to me, but instead I was met with the sight of a blonde with big, voluminous curls and bright blue eyes. Despite fitting into the dumb blonde mold exactly, I knew she was anything but.
This was Rebekah Mikaelson.
I (hopefully) hid my shock quickly, but my eyes still narrowed. My mind raced, wondering what the hell she could possibly want from me. I first jumped to conclusions, but I shut them down immediately, knowing that there was no way anyone knew I was related to the Mikaelsons, including the Mikaelsons themselves.
While I'd been visiting the Abattoir often, Rebekah was basically nowhere to be found. I never would've guessed that this was how I'd be meeting her, being pushed into a car by vampires acting like they were secret service. But, with the Mikaelsons, so far nothing has gone as I expected it.
When she turned to me, she didn't stop and observe me first like her brother did. I'd learned from my research that Rebekah Mikaelson was impulsive, possibly even more so than Klaus. So it didn't surprise me when she cut right to the chase.
"You must be Y/N," she said. Her voice sounded like honey and a smile was on her lips, but it didn't take rocket science to know that it was all an act. "I'm Rebekah Mikaelson, but I'm sure you're already aware of that."
I was. And so I said that. "I am."
She hummed at my response, indirectly reminding me so much of Klaus. She pressed a button to her side, causing the partition to roll up, never looking away from me once. Her smile then quickly dropped. "What are you doing with Marcel?"
Now, I couldn't hide the surprise on my face. "What?"
"You heard me," she asserted, unwilling to elaborate any further and just continuing to look at me, waiting for a reply.
Out of all the reasons she could've pulled me into this car, that one had never even crossed my mind. I paused for a few seconds, thinking over how I'd respond. I knew Rebekah and Marcel had history, and Rebekah had created a reputation for herself as not only being a lover, but a rather possessive one.
Saying the wrong thing here could get me into a tight situation I did not want to be in, so I had to be sure that my words wouldn't piss her off. "He's my friend," I told her, but she didn't look very convinced.
"Really?" She questioned, sarcasm noticeable in her voice. "Are you so cozy with all of your friends? Because you both looked rather close in that café." So she was watching us.
I backtracked, remembering how he kissed me on the cheek on his way out. I see how that could look bad to some people, especially his ex-girlfriend who seemed much more attached to him than he let on. From the way Marcel told the story, him and Rebekah were over, but the way she was acting didn't suggest that at all.
Suddenly, Camille was brought to the forefront of my mind. "We are close," I defended. "I've known him a long time, and we're just friends." I could've left it there—should've left it there, but with Cami on my mind I couldn't help but add, "Besides, he has a girlfriend."
Rebekah narrowed her eyes at me; although, something told me she was already conscious of that little fact. Her jaw tensed, making me more alert. While Elijah and even Klaus wouldn't immediately deal with their problems physically, I knew Rebekah was a different story.
She was smart, don't get me wrong, but if there was something to know about her it was that her emotions overpowered her mind more often than not. She was impulsive, and so this could go real bad, real quick.
I had to get out of this.
I decided to just say something instead of letting her make the first move. If I said something first, then I could take control of the situation and spin it before she could.
"Look," I started. "Marcel and I have a completely platonic relationship." Well, not completely, but I wasn't gonna tell her that. "After we met, I was just helping him keep things running smoothly in the Quarter, the same thing I'm doing with your family now."
While her expression remained blank, I could tell I was swaying her in the right direction. She just needed one last push. "We talk so often because of Davina. She's important to both of us, and we just want to make sure she gets the childhood she deserves." Her eyes immediately softened, and I knew I got her.
Davina was just a child. As ruthless as Rebekah could be, she still had humanity inside her—Marcel had told me this time and time again when he was under the influence. There was something in her that he fell for, and it was her ability to care when she really wanted to.
She finally looked away from me. "I understand," she said. If I knew anything about her, then I knew she was probably embarrassed right now. It turned out that Rebekah's emotional nature had actually helped, not harmed. "Sorry for the inconvenience," she apologized, but her eyes never met mine.
She rolled the partition back down, telling the driver to stop the car and unlock the doors. "You're free to go, Y/N." I stared at her for a few seconds, wondering if there was anything else I was supposed to say, but I came up empty. So I just got out of the car and watched as they drove away right after.
Once I could no longer see the car, I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
I just met Rebekah Mikaelson.
And I just barely dodged a bullet. I directed my thoughts away from freaking out because I just met yet another member of my family to how I was gonna fix the problem I had.
I couldn't keep tiptoeing on this tight-rope around the Mikaelsons. Sooner or later, I'd fall. I needed to do something to get them, all of them, to trust me. If they caught me at the right time, then everything could be exposed.
I had all of these thoughts running through my mind until a light bulb went off, and all of the puzzle pieces suddenly assembled themselves into a clear picture.
I knew what to do.
I had my show of good faith.

TVD AND KLAROLINE FANS I HAVE A FANFIC IDEA (if this fanfic does exist, I apologize ahead of time, but please do send me the link if it does exist)
Alright, so imagine if Klaus and Caroline were already in a relationship together, and Klaus had to deal with things in New Orleans (as always) and the Mikaelsons desperately want to meet Klaus's new girl that's got him completely whipped (you seriously can't tell me otherwise that the man isn't whipped)
Klaus obviously protested against it considering the dangers they were facing, but then things started getting bad, so the smartest sibling, Elijah, summoned Caroline, and she joined in on the Mikaelson New Orleans family chaos while keeping klaus from murdering his family which BTW scored a LOT of points from the other Mikaelsons.
I strongly believe Rebekah would be jealous that she is no longer Klaus's favorite but is grateful that Caroline can keep his distracted. Marcel immediately likes her and sees her as a mother figure, like he sees Klaus as a father figure and would definitely make mom and dad jokes. Elijah already loves her and has great respect for her for putting up with his brother. Kol and Davina are more impressed than someone led this long with Klaus without getting killed. Same thing with Hayley.
Of course, Hayley would not be the only bride in New Orleans, but the Mikaelsons are definitely throwing a great wedding for Caroline and Klaus. Plus, I think Hayley and Jackson would both respect Caroline more than Klaus and always go to her when it comes to supernatural politics.
Freya would definitely like her but at the same time be a little jealous since all of the family are in love with her
(Like I said, if this fanfic does exist, PLEASE SEND ME THE LINK OR POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE FANFIC! I NEED IT!!!
Also, Klaus and Caroline give me such a mafia boss and his wife mixed with beauty and the beast vibe)

Elijah covered Gia's body and stood up. You stood by him and looked sorrowfully at Gia's body. You didn't know much about her but she didn't deserve to die because of Klaus. Klaus was so angry and killing Gia was his revenge.
"I'm so sorry about Gia, if I had been here she wouldn't have died" You told you boyfriend.
"That's alright, nothing could have stopped Klaus from killing her." Elijah hugged you from your side and kissed your cheek and turned to camille, who had just drank blood to heal herself.
"are you ok?" you asked in concern and she nodded in response.
"now that you're healed, what did you mean by Klaus had a plan? we had a plan, a plan he has mercilessly destroyed!" Elijah exclaimed in anger. You caressed his back and he calmed down.
"our plan wouldn't have worked elijah" Camille spoke up and both of you looked at her with confusion.
"when Klaus got into my head, he said your plan would fail so he had to enact one of his own"
"and what's this plan of his?" you asked her.
"he has to get her to link to him" Camille told you both and you gasped.
"My brother wishes to bind himself to our enemy? she'll be virtually indestructible." Elijah said as he separated from you and walked closer to her.
"he said I had to convince you guys that everything he had to do, he had to do alone." Camille explained and you groaned.
"he is so stupid! he could get killed! he always thinks he has to do everything on his own and thinks on his own and he doesn't ask for help" you said in frustration as you ran your hands through your hair.
"you had the wrong ingredients to kill dahlia and he has to buy time before he finds the right ones." camille explained further.
"how?" Elijah asked.
"he is going to use the dagger on himself" Camille said and your eyes widened.
"with dahlia's life linked to his, she'll drop dead with him." you realised what Klaus's plan was.
"I'm really sorry about your friend." Camille told him.
"are you?" Elijah questioned.
"I'm not condoning klaus's actions. I'm trying to help you. All I know is, Klaus will do whatever he has to do for-" Camille was probably about to say for family but elijah cut her off.
"Klaus will do whatever he has to do for Klaus! now hayley is not answering her phone. what has he done?" Elijah interrogated.
"don't blame the messenger" you turn around and saw rebekah, the real rebekah, and Marcel, coming into the compound. It was so good to see Rebekah in her old body again, she was forced into another body for so long you never thought she would go back to her old body ever again.
"Rebekah" You smiled widely and ran and hugged her and she hugged back.
"Ava, it's good to see you" Rebekah said as she hugged you back.
"no hug for me?" Marcel asked with a smiled and arms opened as you and Rebekah pulled away. you rolled your eyes and smiled as you ran to hug him and after awhile, pulled away.
"rebekah" Elijah spoke and looked at her from head to toe, surprised to see her in her old body.
"looks like Niklaus has a lot on his to-do list last night, and as for hayley" Rebekah started.
"what happened to her?" you asked.
"When Klaus attacked me, he stole the spell that i used on the crescent wolves" Marcel explained.
"so he would condemn her to the body of a beast?" Elijah asked.
"Hayley will be human once a month." Rebekah told everyone.
"Are you saying she can only see her baby once a month?" You couldn't believe Klaus would do this to Hayley.
"Not for long. we will find her and we help her. But for now we have to focus on those who need saving today. Freya called, Dahlia is incapacitated, they are two hours north at orchard near Pear River, she has Hope." Rebekah told you guys and you knew Elijah would want to go there as fast as he could.
"Take me with you" Elijah nodded and carried you bridal style and sped out of the compound and to where Freya was.
"well my adage holds, nothing good ever happens in a clearing in the woods" Freya said and you chuckled as you and Elijah walked up to her.
"nothing good ever happens where my brother is concerned, with one exception." he looked over at Hope.
"How is she?"
"she's a Mikaelson, she's resilient." Freya said.
"can I hold her?" You asked and Freya nodded and handed Hope over to you.
"hello Hope, you know your auntie Ava? I'm your cool Aunt" you cooed and Freya chuckled. Elijah smiled at your cuteness and walked over to where Dahlia and Klaus were.
"When I woke, they were like this." Freay told you guys.
"Rebekah tells me Klaus has a plan kill to Dahlia, that he knew our plan would not work" Freya said.
"Yes, according to him, our ingredients were incorrect." Elijah explained.
"Klaus infiltrated Dahlia's mind. you didn't break her heart, we needed the blood of the witch she loved most, and you are not that witch, your mother is." You continued explaining to her while rocking Hope.
"So we need esther. well that's impossible, I killed her" Freya told you guys.
"one incarnation" Elijah told Freya and you saw the uneasy expression on Freya's face and felt bad for her.
"Our mother is burried in New Orleans. Niklaus wants us to revive the original body." Elijah explained and Freya nodded.
"Let's get back to the compound" Elijah said and he went over and carried Klaus to the back of the truck before going over to Dahlia and carried her and placed her beside Klaus while you took Hope's carrier to the back seat of the truck and placing her gently into the carrier. Freya got into the passenger seat before Elijah got into the driver seat and drove off.
Once you guys reached the compound, Elijah called Marcel to carry Dahlia in while he carried Klaus and you carried Hope into the compound. you put Hope's carrier on the fountain and took her out of the carrier and went over to the Mikaelsons. You saw that Marcel was bent over Klaus and poking his arm.
"Nik is demented." He stated.
"are we really to dig up our mother, burn her to ash, swap said ash for Kol's and then trick Davina into using her last chance to bringing someone back from the dead, not to mention we lose the opportunity to save Kol, if Davina doesn't turn us inside out?" Rebekah asked.
"and we will just be killing Esther again after all this so we're just back to square one" you added and everyone turned to you.
"what? I'm just saying what we're all thinking" you shrugged your shoulders.
"we could also dig a deep hole and leave both our problems at the bottom of it" Elijah spoke up.
"I say we choose a more permanent option, find the white oak stake, kill Klaus, Dahlia dies with him." Freya suggested.
"oh yea, and so do I, and every other vampire that Klaus has turned." Marcel told her.
Suddenly you heard a trickling noise and you turned your head and looked at Klaus and your eyes widened.
"um, guys, we got a situation" Everyone looked towards your direction and saw that the dagger in Klaus's chest is melting.
"The dagger is bloody melting." Rebekah swore as Elijah knelt down next to Klaus.
"We have no choice but to finish the task niklaus has set." Elijah said out loud and everyone nodded.
"Rebekah and I will go get our mother's ashes while Marcel and Freya will stay here and find Kol's ashes." Elijah explained.
"what about me? I want to help too." You told him.
"darling, you can help by taking care of Hope, where it's safe, I don't want you to get hurt from this." Elijah told you and you scoffed.
"I can take of myself, I'm a witch from the most powerful coven and have been training with Freya for so long" you retaliated.
" I know but Dahlia is a thousand years old, she's way more powerful than you. Please, we don't have time to argue." Elijah says and you couldn't say anything and just nodded.
Rebekah and Elijah left and Freya and Marcel started looking for Kol's ashes. You weren't going to stay there and do nothing so you left for Hope's room and kissed her before placing her gently in her crib.
"I'm sorry baby, auntie Ava have got some work to do" you said and left the room, making sure to put a spell so that no one can enter into the room unless it's one of your friends. you looked for Freya and Marcel, where they were in one of the rooms, looking for Kol's ashes.
"I thought you were supposed to take care of Hope?" Marcel asked.
"I'm not going to just sit around doing nothing when I can be of use. plus i'm with you guys, nothing will happen. and don't worry I put a boundary spell around Hope's room so no one can go in unless it's one of us" you told him and Freya and Marcel nodded.
"Elijah said Klaus kept Kol's ashes in a blue urn, what he didn't do was narrow the field. Heaven forbid one thing not be a damn secret in this family." Marcel explained as he continued to search while you started searching the cabinets.
"Yet, despite your anger, here you are, casting your lot with Klaus. Is that because you believe his plan's going to work?" Freya asked.
"That is the Mikaelson paradox, you want to love and kill each other all at the same time." Marcel said.
"you got that right" you scoffed. The three of you continued to search for the urn. you missed Kol, even though he could be a hard ass, he would still look out for you whenever necessary. you promised yourself to continue to look for a spell to bring him back from the dead after all this was over.
"look who got lucky" you turned and saw Marcel bringing out the urn from a cabinet and looked inside when his smile dropped as you and Freya walked towards him. He flipped the urn and nothing came out of it and you sighed.
"either you have a curious definition of luck or someone got to those ashes before we did." You told him.
"all right we better find a way to stop that dagger from melting because if the theif is who i think it is, we've got a problem." Marcel said out loud.
"I've got an idea, but Ava I need your help." Freya said and you nodded as the 3 of you went to Klaus.
"Just follow my lead" Freya started chanting and you copied her as she poured salt onto the dagger. It was no use, the dagger is still melting.
"It's no use, we can't slow her magic, everything we're trying fails." Freya said and Marcel ran his fingers through his hair. suddenly you heard creaking and you turned to the stairs and saw vines and leaves growing towards upstairs and towards Hope's room. Dahlia is trying to get to Hope.
"There's got to be a way to kill her" Marcel said.
"there is" you looked at Freya and saw her taking out the white oak stake.
"No! Freya!" Both you and Marcel lunged towards Freya to try and stop her but she used her magic to back you guys to the stairs.
"Please Freya, you don't have to do this, we will find another way." You practically begged her to stop what she was doing and think for a second.
"do you really want to kill your own brother? the family you always wanted." Marcel added in.
"This is the family I longed for, but because of her, i'll always be alone." Freya lifted the stake and plunged it towards Klaus's chest but was stopped by Klaus, who had just woken up.
"Sister" Klaus said as he held her hand with both of his and you sighed with relief. Freya let you and Marcel go and she helped Klaus up as Dahlia got up.
"I'm almost impressed by the lengths you'd go to for your little girl, though not enough to let bygones be." She reached out and the stake from Freya's hand flew into hers
"we are still linked, dear aunt. you may not way to punish me with that particular weapon." Klaus said as he walked forward towards Dahlia.
"Hmm, I made sure that the link between us melted along with the dagger. Meaning, i'm quite free to kill you." Dahlia said and Klaus's face dropped. She used her magic to pull Klaus towards her and was about to kill him but Marcel ran forward and saved Klaus. Dahlia used this time to transport you and Freya to hope's room even though you had placed a boundary spell and took a little bit of hope's blood before teleporting to someplace you didn't know. Dahlia started dragging you and Freya inside an abandoned warehouse.
"2 centuries ago, this city hung its traitors right here, I thought it was only fitting that it be your slaughtering grounds." Dahlia told Freya.
"why'd you bring Ava here. she didn't betray you" Freya asked her.
"she may not have betrayed me, but she is the firstborn of the most powerful covern, I can use her as my power source. not to mention all of you care for her, it would be a good punishment to make you guys see her suffer while you stand there and aren't able to do anything." You feared the worse as she dragged you and Freya inside and made you guys kneel before her as she place a boundary spell around you guys.
"I actually pity you, over the course of our long lives together, I could see you were broken, I used to think it was my fault, but in time, I've learned your ability to love died long ago" Freya said with tears forming in her eyes.
"Darkness isn't born you know, it's created, by snuffing out of a light. so however you thought you might mend me, please no you never could. Whenever I looked into your eyes, I saw your mother, the sister who turned my heart to stone, and with that stone I will crush each and everyone of her children." Dahlia told her. She came to your side and cut your wrist and collected some of your blood.
"what are you doing?" Freya asked her but Dahlia ignored her. she cut her hand and blood dripped from her hand and she started chanting.
"she's linking me to her, I can feel it." you told Freya.
"I'm so sorry Ava, you should never have had to be dragged into my family's drama." Freya said with tears in her eyes. you could feel you eyes welling up too.
"that's not your fault, I knew the risk when I started dating a Mikaelson and I still stuck by, and I would do it all over again if it meant being with Elijah." you said with a smile. you had a plan of your own and you started chanting and you transported yourself spiritually/physically (you'll get it later) to where Klaus was as he is the only one who could help you with the plan

𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦-𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫

word count: 4.5k~
warnings: strong language, eventual violence, classic Niklaus resorting to violence and drinking away his problems
a/n: this is the 3rd chapter of my au longfic based off the The Originals (what if the child was a teenager/YA throughout the show duration and not at season 5?). This chapter features Klaus’s pov, an insider to his struggles accepting his role as a father. Rebekah and Elijah makes their return. Davina as well. If there’s a warning I skipped let me know.

From her thick curly roots, to the smeared blood currently being wiped clean from her delicate features, to the soft beatings of her heart indicating she was calmly resting. In his hand, he held an old photo of him sitting next to Vanessa. Who was clearly the girl's mother given the identical features they shared, alongside a letter explaining the situation of his existence with clear instructions to NOT come to New Orleans.
Yet the girl—Deena, as stated in the letter—came anyway. Hard-headed.
Klaus remembered Vanessa almost as if it was yesterday. He met the young aspiring witch at a local art exhibit held in The French Quarter where she first struck his interest, besides being the only who wore silly socks with a tight-fitting dress. She was not only well-spoken in art, but she had a way with words in which Klaus wouldn't notice the smile he wore until she told him, and she was her own person with a peculiar taste in fashion. And he liked it. In fact, he loved it. They hit it off quickly and spent every chance they had with each other, until one day she disappeared without a word. Klaus assumed it was because of him and didn't blame her since she was too good for his world and she deserved more than what he could provide for her.
"Impossible," Were the first words Klaus said. He tossed the photo to the floor and faced his back to Deena to slip her from his memory, to Elijah who spoke not one word until Klaus spoke first.
Elijah picked the photo from the floor and placed it on the table beside the written letter before Klaus seized a chance to rip it. "Whether it's true or not, the child needed our help and we gave that to her. Nik—"
"You expect me to believe this child is mine from a silly photo with a woman I dallied with years ago and some loveless letter of lies?" Growled Klaus. His mouth suddenly felt dry and though he did his best to put up a front, the fear in his eyes was evident and by the end of his words, panic had entered. "I am a vampire. I cannot procreate!"
Rebekah rinsed the cloth of blood in the warm water of dark red ready to be refilled and continued to clean the child's face and arms the best she could. The scent of her blood was alluring, preying them to feed into their cravings with just a taste, a single drop of her blood until there was no restraint to stop. But they have lived long enough to control their thirst, and the blood lust wasn't as appealing when the victim's a child and presumed to be a Mikaelson.
"Magic made you a vampire as us all, Nik." Rebekah pointed out. "But you were born a werewolf; it courses in your blood given by your father, so it is possible. Ludicrous but possible. And we can confirm it with your blood and hers. And a witch."
That shut Klaus up.
"The child has already been through enough, and we can't be sure of which witch we can trust until we figure out the origin of this madness. Let's not bother her anymore and hope she wakes soon." As Elijah spoke, he watched Deena intensively under his black lashes and compared her physical similarities to his little brother. Her lips. Her ears. Even her nose with a slight readjustment, accurately portrayed Klaus but there was no way to be sure without that spell Rebekah mentioned.
Rebekah rolled her eyes. "She will be fine. With my blood in her system, she's healing a lot faster than before. And I know a witch we can use; she was just here not too long ago banging on our doors to hear her out. And by the looks of it, she cares enough to do anything for her," Rinsing the last of Deena's blood into the bowl, Rebekah placed the rag on the dresser and carried the bowl into her arms to be refilled. She caught sight of Klaus's quietness, his eyes never leaving the child and added, "And if we hold this off any longer, we might as well shave our heads bald and pay ourselves a visit to the loony bin, and I don't rock a bald look. I would rather stab myself with the white oak before I plug in a bloody razor."
Rebekah left for the bathroom.
They knew exactly who Rebekah spoke of—Davina Claire, the teenage witch who wanted but nothing to do with the Mikaelsons. More specifically Klaus. After Elijah thought about the decision, he began to view Rebekah's point and agreed. However, the decision wasn't up to him.
Klaus could feel his brother's heated stare as he looked to him for answers he didn't have nor wished to answer. He stood quietly acquainted with fear more than anyone has witnessed since Mikael's invasion back in 1919. He does want the answer, but he's too prideful to ask for help and he was too afraid of the outcome.
Elijah then understood he would have to make the decision for them both and found Rebekah's gaze as she exited the bathroom with a clean bowl of warm water. "Let's do the spell."
━━━━━━ ━━━━━━
𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐕𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐒. Her eyes never left Klaus as she made her way down the hallway and into the spacious room, waiting for a reason to use her magic against him, until she found Deena lying unconscious on the freshly made bed in the room she had once lived in back when Marcel was around and things were a bit hectic because of her. Or at least similar. She rushed to Deena's side with a gasp.
"She will be alright," Elijah answered her panicked thoughts as she pulled back at the blood staining her hands when she reached out for her. She sent him a soft glare and carefully took Deena's hand into hers. "Will you be able to perform the spell?"
Klaus, remain quiet. The quietest he's ever been.
Davina noticed her friend appeared a lot brighter in her complexion despite her blood-stained clothes. Even noticing her cuts vividly healing before her eyes which meant she was given vampire blood, and she felt guilty. Like it was her fault for not protecting her or keeping her away from Klaus as she intended to do. And by keeping the supernatural world a secret to protect her, she felt she had done more harm than good.
"I can try but since her blood is tainted, I'll have to—"
"The blood on her clothes is pure. Can you use that instead?" Asked Rebekah.
Davina narrowed her gaze from Deena's stained clothes. It was easy magic she's done before and responded, "I'm only doing this for Deena and no one else, so don't call me here again. I don't wanna be mixed up in your family drama." Her gaze found Deena's. "And she shouldn't have to either."
"You have my word," Elijah promised.
If Klaus was in his right mind, he would've had something to say about this but for the first time in a while, he had no energy to feed into petty drama.
Because Davina knew she could trust Elijah out of all the original siblings, she began the spell. She emptied the bowl of marbles she found on the dresser and began to remove Deena's blood into the bowl leaving her shirt spotless as if it had been recently washed. She then faced Klaus. "I need your blood." She demanded.
One by one, they looked to Klaus who was currently in his own world. He didn't hear Davina but he soon felt their stares and allowed Elijah's voice to be heard as he called his name softly. Of course, he was worried for his brother. He's never failed to hide his worrisome in times like this. Klaus followed his gesture towards Davina waiting for something he had. What was it she asked for? My blood? Without wasting another second, he bit into his wrist and held it over the bowl as his blood began to mix in with Deena's. He pulled back his arm as he began to heal and waited in the far corner.
Rebekah practically hovered over Davina as she continued on with the spell and Elijah stood in the center of everyone, his eyes never leaving Klaus. About five minutes later, Davina stood from her seat indicating she was finished with the spell.
Rebekah peeled herself from the wall. "Well, is it true? Has my brother officially knocked some poor woman up against her will?"
Klaus saw the way Davina looked at Deena, the look was enough to give him the answers they longed for, but he needed to hear it from her lips. He was desperate as they all were for the answer. She sighed finally meeting Klaus's anxious gaze. "She's a hundred percent Klaus's child." Davina announced.
Klaus was shocked into silence.
Not one word has been spoken as they struggled to process nature's loophole. A child, a true Mikaelson, here in flesh by the blood and DNA of Klaus, the Original Hybrid unable to create any lifeform of the living. It was difficult to create a logical answer in their heads how any of this was possible. Klaus has slept with countless women throughout the centuries, so why is it now that it's possible for his seed to create a mortal being? What made Vanessa so special out of all?
Rebekah felt bitterness towards the situation. Though she was happy her brother has a child he could watch grow old and she has become an aunty, she knew that kind of possibility wasn't possible for her. And she desired what Klaus had—a family. From her own DNA, conceived naturally from her body, children of her own. But she was a vampire. Unlike Klaus, she could not procreate. There was no loophole for her.
However, Elijah failed to hide his glee. After years of cleaning up after his brother's retaliation, years of watching his demons mold his anger to fear that has built a wall between his misery and his own happiness; wanting nothing but the best for him and for him to let go of his grudges against the world and start letting people in, he believed this could be a chance for Klaus to start over fresh. For not only Klaus, but for himself and for Rebekah. Maybe with the child's presence, could diminish their negative ways and bring back empathy. Something they haven't felt in a while.
Klaus shuffled into the desk behind him, his tear-filled eyes never left the unconscious girl. He didn't look at her with hate or displeasure; it was a softer look that couldn't be explained in words. There was too much roaming around in his head and in his heart and in his actions, it was too much for him to process.
Davina suddenly lifted the blood-filled bowl from off the bed and placed it on the smaller dresser near the bed in case Deena moved in her slumber. She clapped her hands together, gathering their destruct attention. The awkward silence was too much for her to stand in. "If that's all, I'm leaving." She sent Deena an apologetic stare before she was already out the door.
In a flash, Davina's backside was pressed against the opened door with a hard thud. Klaus held her by the neck, seizing to scare her by his threatening presence. "What kind of trick are you playing, Davina? Do you think I can be easily fooled? Do you not fear your worthless life?" He tightened his hand as she fought out his hold. She even sank her fingers between so that she could breathe.
"I did the spell like you asked!" Davina cried out.
Elijah sped towards the abrupt commotion while Rebekah took a hesitant step forward, in an attempt to pull Klaus from off Davina before he did anything he'd regret, but his grip loosened from her neck as an enormous amount of pain surged his brain. He fell to his knees while gripping his head like a maniac. His groans of pain and her lifted hand allowed them to put together the pieces.
Davina stumbled back as she caught her breath, rubbing her now red neck, eyes frantic on the other siblings in case they were going to try her. They held their ground. "Look, Deena's my friend. And as much as I wish I had sabotaged the spell and made your lives miserable, it wouldn't be fair to her and I wouldn't be able to live with the guilt. She is your daughter whether you like it or not. And if you don't believe me, fine! Find another witch who's willing to do the spell. Not that you have many to call. I'm outta here."
The pain stopped as soon as Davina left the room. Klaus fell to the floor relieved of his torment. He will have his chance to murder that witch with his own bare hands someday. For now, he was focused on regaining his consciousness.
Elijah was already at his side to help him up. "Niklaus—"
"I don't need your help!" He pushed away his brother's helping hand and stood on his own. Everyone stood in silence. Klaus took one last look at Deena and fled the room within seconds.
Elijah sighed.
"How is this possible, Elijah?" Rebekah asked, staring at the child trying to find the similarities. There were a few, the same Elijah pointed out earlier, but it was hard to believe the child was real. "Despite him being a hybrid...is—is this natural? Is she truly his offspring? And If so, can he produce more?"
"This is all new to me as it is for you, but spells cannot lie. And I trust Davina. She is a hundred percent Klaus's offspring. Now for the lather, I will have to look into that."
She stopped at his side. "But—"
"I said I will look into it," Rebekah recognized that tone and held off from asking any more questions that couldn't be easily answered. "Why don't you find the child something she can wear when she awakens? I will go find our brother and talk some sense into him."
Without a word, Rebekah sped over to where Deena's luggage sat to look for come clean clothes.
"And Rebekah?"
She glanced up with a hum.
He motioned his finger around the room. "Make sure the house is empty before she awakens. We don't need an incident to occur or a hungry vampire's blood on our hands."
She rolled her eyes. "I'm always stuck with babysitting when I can do more than that," She whined. "The child I can do, but a house of pre-war vampires? They are already a pain in the ass."
"Just get it done."
She rolled her eyes and continued to search through Deena's clothes.

𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍’𝐓 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 entering the bar he sat at to drain his sorrows in. It was only a matter of time before Elijah tracked him down. He never ventured out of his usual locations and his secretive spots were a work in process. Bringing up his empire took up the majority of his time having to fight through an army of vampires loyal to his dear Marcel. Of course, he couldn't bring himself to kill the boy he raised to make an example out of him, so he let him flee.
But none of that seemed to matter now that he found out he's a father.
Father.
A strange title he couldn't force himself to withhold. And instead of believing his forced reality, he decided to drink forth to a past he lived before the child was a thing. His glorious days he might call it.
"You learn of the existence of your child and yet you sit here to drink it away?" Elijah swiftly made his way toward Klaus.
Klaus placed down his 5th empty glass of whiskey and released a stressful sigh upon Elijah's disturbing question. "I do not wish to hear your nagging, brother unless you have come to join me?" With his head dangled over the glass-stained counters, he signal the waiter to pour him another glass.
Elijah then unbuttoned his jacket and ordered the waiter to serve him another round of whiskey as he took his seat next to him. They sat in silence. But knowing Elijah, he couldn't hold off the conversation any longer.
"What are you thinking, Niklaus?"
"I think of nothing. But I do think I need a stronger drink, don't you agree?" Klaus was clearly bothered by the question and ordered stronger liquor he could drown in, which meant there was something on his mind. Elijah knew what it was, but understood his tough-hearted brother needed a little push.
"Your expression tells me otherwise." He thanked the waiter who placed down his drink, and took a small sip before he continued. "Are you afraid you will become a bad father?"
"And so she has gotten to you with her puny lies? Oh, the Noble Elijah." Klaus mocked his title with a scoff. "The Elijah I knew would not be easily swayed by an amenable spell performed by the very witch who has tried to kill me more than twice and more to come in the future. A spell so that she can forge a weakness to catch me off guard when I have no weaknesses to be used!"
"And the brother I know would never be troubled with such matter if you truly believe her spell was purged." Klaus's heart thudded faster than its usual speedy pace, which Elijah heard or else he wouldn't have continued his boring speech. "No matter how you feel or what Davina's true intentions are, I do trust her and I trust she would not lie about something as great as this. Think about it, Niklaus, the girl's mother disappeared without a trace and when you asked of her to be located, the witch could not find her on any map which meant she was either cloaked or dead. A cloaking spell is only used when you want to hide from someone or you have something to hide."
"Yes, thank you, Elijah, for explaining to me the usage of a cloaking spell. Care to explain how to have a quiet drink without your brother pestering him with bogus ideas next?"
Elijah sighed. "I wish you would not joke for once."
Elijah wasn't phased when Klaus slammed his glass against the counter and faced his brother with an irritated look on his face. "Well, how else should I process this kind of information, brother? Shall we light a candle in a dark room, stare each other in the eyes, drink from goats' blood, then share our darkest fears and insecurities with one another?" He offered, humor on his tongue.
Elijah wore no smile on his face at his brother's silly offer. "I wish you would be honest with me for once and not hold up such a wall as if I am here to shame you of the very thing I want you to have—a family."
He faced the counter with the glass already at his lips. It was beginning to taste like water. "I already have a family." He boasted.
"And now you have a daughter, who is family."
The glass pressed heavily on his bottom lip when he suddenly froze. His eyes grew big hearing the D-word and family placed into the same sentence, no longer able to hold up his glass or Elijah would see his hand was shaking. Turning his head to control himself or Elijah would catch the glossy glint filling his vision. Forcing his heartbeat to slow or Elijah would detect his anxiety. A new weakness. One he kept struggling to deny.
Elijah made a good point about Vanessa because anyone who knew her knew she would never run from anything not even Klaus himself, but of course because of his nature, the thought never crossed his mind. He only assumed it was because of him, not the result of an action they both consented to.
Klaus could still feel his brother's stare. He knew that if he didn't say something now—the absolute truth behind the wall he kept gluing up—Elijah would get it out of him one way or another. And frankly, he just needed an ear to hear him out. And since Cami was not in viewpoint, he had no choice but to open up to his brother.
"Fine, you win. You want to know how I feel about becoming a father? I am petrified."
He finally faced Elijah who had been waiting all day for this exact moment to unfold, only to feel guilty for pressing the matter. But it was what he wanted, and Klaus would give him just that.
"Given the lack of fatherliness I received, I don't believe the subject is far-fetched. I mean, the girl is practically a young adult, what do I have in common with her? I have lived a self-ruled life of volition and a deep crave for violence as I rain hell upon my enemies, to suddenly become a father of a teenager in less than an hour?" He scoffed. His eyes suddenly black with anger while gulping down his drink in one sip and slammed the glass (almost breaking it) against the counter which caught a little attention. "Her mother knew of this knowledge yet she decided to keep it from me. Just wait until I track her down, she will never hear the last of me."
Elijah was finally able to understand a piece of Klaus's mind. There is potential and he was already showing it despite his crave for harming the child's mother. "You have missed her childhood; her first word, her first steps, her early years of growth and you feel guilty for that. But now you have a chance to miss no more of her development. This can be a new beginning for us all, for you, Niklaus. Maybe this isn't a bad thing."
"What if..." He swallowed hard. "What if I'm not ready? What if I'm not...good at this? Good enough? I have no experience of this sort and I don't always have the best interest of whomever I come across."
Elijah is taken back at his vulnerability and placed his hand on his shoulder as a form of comfort. "No one is ever ready for fatherhood, it just happens. But you are not alone in this, you have me and Rebekah at your side. Together we shall find a way. Always and forever." He smiled warmly.
For a moment, both brothers shared the weight of Klaus's fears. Hope sparked in his eyes and with comfort he knew his brother would always be at his side no matter the gravity of the situation and it made him feel a little less lonely. Almost happy even, until he remembered Zoeè and the silly prophecy she spoke of conjured out of ignorance, and the witches who seek to fulfill it by sacrificing Deena.
He stood to his feet with a mission written on his face. "Enough milking my sorrows, brother, I have Camille for that. Because we," While placing down his bill, "have a long list of witches to kill."

can you make headcanons about yandere kol mikaelson x fem human reader
I can absolutely do headcanons for Kol Mikaelson! Thank you very much for the ask anon and I hope you enjoy these headcanons!
AN: This ask and my response to it deals with yandere content, kidnapping, canon typical violence, and behaviours. This means it will have dark elements. I do not condone yandere behaviours in real life.
Despite their frequent fights and arguments, Kol and Klaus are very similar.
They are similar when it comes to the type of yandere they are and how they treat their darlings.
You bumped into Kol after he had stormed away from Davina following their argument about her controlling Mikael with magic. Kol had called her reckless and thoughtless. He was also furious with her because she had lied to and manipulated him into revealing his father's location.
Still angry, Kol gazed down at you with a sneer. As soon as he saw you, his sneer faded away. You were the most beautiful being that he had ever seen.
You didn't know much about the Mikaelsons but you did know that you were in danger and an apology quickly fell from your lips.
Charmingly, Kol lifted one of your hands and pressed a kiss to your knuckles, "A beautiful creature such as yourself should not worry about apologising when something so wonderful has transpired from our meeting."
Still on edge, you pulled your hand back and without hesitation, Kol introduced himself. You were about to do the same when there was a whoosh of air and you found yourself pressed against a tree with a vampire snarling at you and someone who looked to be a teenager standing behind the vampire.
That was how you met Mikael and Davina. Proudly, Davina revealed herself to be a witch and that Mikael was the father of the Mikaelsons, the Original vampires.
Underneath her pride and her smugness, you detected a hint of fear which worried you. Throughout Davina's introduction, Mikael hadn't said a thing. The vampire hunter stepped back at Davina's spoken command and you detected resentment in his gaze as he did so.
"I have a bad feeling that Mikael is fighting her control. How long do I have before he breaks free?" You wondered as your hands scraped against the bark.
The answer: not very long. Following your disappearance, Kol had gone to the only beings that stood a chance against their father. His tone was impatient and his words were biting and in the end, he convinced his siblings to assist him in fighting their father.
The Originals didn't take long to find you and during the fight, Davina's bracelet was destroyed. You trembled as you saw the same look of utter fury on Kol and Mikael's faces but for very different reasons.
Davina ran to your side, figuring that she would be safe next to you. It didn't take you long to realise that she was controlling Mikael with the bracelet. Your expression told her just what you thought about that idea of hers and she ducked her head.
The fight between the Originals and their father was violent, bloody, and rapid. Mikael was destroyed by his children and Kol was seething with rage at the fact that Davina had sought shelter from her actions next to you.
Kol eventually calmed down and from that point on, you interacted with the Mikaelsons on a frequent basis. Dinner parties with the Original siblings were always interesting and incredibly chaotic. You respected Elijah's constant efforts to try and maintain order when it came to his family.
It took time but eventually, you and Davina moved from merely tolerating each other's existence (Kol did go to her when he needed magical help) to an almost friendship.
Occasionally, you get glimpses of Kol's darker nature. Kol isn't one to hesitate if he feels insulted or if there is the tiniest hint that you are upset or uncomfortable. You jokingly referred to him once as your hellhound and to your surprise, Kol laughed.
He liked the nickname and so it stuck.
While Kol has access to some of the wealth that his family does, he prefers to show his love and appreciation in other ways. The Mikaelson will spend time with you (casually threatening those who interrupt your time with him) and he will tell you stories of his childhood before things became complicated.
He likes it when you hum tunes from movies and he will drop everything to watch movies with you. Kol will cuddle with you during the movie and the two of you will end up missing the ending because you've fallen asleep in his arms and he is so entranced by the way you fit perfectly in his arms and the way you look when you are sleeping.

A/N- finn is hot- don't try to fight me on this
Klaus Mikaelson X Soulmate!Reader x Elijah Mikaelson Ch. 25
Word Count- 3.2k
Warnings- mentions of STDS, sex, condoms, bananas, THEO, decapitation, Kardashians
“Why are you smiling like that?” I finish applying the lipstick Rebekah sent me as an apology gift for attacking Elena, and glance over to Theo leaning against the doorframe.
“I just had a good dream,” I mumble as I stand up from my desk and grab my jacket.
Theo hums.
“So it has nothing to do with you letting that mutt slobber all over you last night…or his brother coming over right after and spending the night with you… I must say sister, juggling two bitches,” Theo wipes away a fake tear, “I’m so proud of you.”
I whip around and glare at him, “Theodore Monty Y/l/n, watch it!”
Theo smirks at me and raises his hands.
“All I’m saying is that like 3 weeks ago the only side piece you had on your arm was Elena, and now you’ve got two brothers. Upgrades sister, hell ya!”
Theo throws out his palm for me to high-five. I don’t. Instead, I walk around him and down the hallway to the front door.
Theo continues to speak.
“Now I know you’ve had zero playtime soooo I think we should chat about this. For example, we should have the talk.”
I freeze.
“Theo, I will smother you in your sleep if you continue to talk.”
“Y/n, I don’t like children, I don’t want any nieces or nephews running around.”
I glare over my shoulder at him, “They’re vampires, you dimwit. They can’t have kids.”
Theo thinks to himself for a moment before nodding, “Okay. Well, what about STDs? What if there are vampire STDs you could catch? One look at that mutt from last night and I bet he’s got something you can catch other than fleas.”
I feel my face drop as Theo continues to mutter things to himself about vampire sexually transmitted diseases.
I shake my head, open the front door, and leave the house, hearing Theo call from behind me.
“Fine run! But don’t think for a second young lady that we won’t be discussing things later! And trust next time I see either one of those fools I will be asking them about Vamp STDs!”
At that exact moment, our 82-year-old neighbor Shelley, exits her house. I’m pretty sure her look of pure shock and horror mirrors mine.
“Oh hi Mrs. Davenport,” Theo yells happily.
—
“Hey Bonnie, how are you?”
The phone line is silent for a moment as I hear Bonnie closing a door.
“I’m fine…I guess. My mom’s going to finish her transition,” Bonnie’s sad voice makes me frown as I stare at the red light in front of me.
“I’m sorry, Bonnie,” I think back to last night and try to shake away the image of Esther’s decapitated head from my head, “If I would’ve known your mother…”
“Don’t apoligize, Y/n. It’s not your fault. And ya… it sucks she has to become a vampire but…it beats losing you or Elena. And I swear, Y/n, as soon as Damon told me that if the originals died, you would die with them, I tried stopping the spell. I would have never done it in the first place if I knew you’d die too.”
Bonnie’s earnest voice makes me smile, “I trust you, Bon. And thank you.”
I hear someone say something to Bonnie and she sighs, “I’ve got to go.”
“It’s ok, Bonnie. We’ll talk soon. Give yourself some time with your mother before coming back to this mess over here. You deserve it.”
“Okay, thank you. And when I get back we’ll find a way to get you out of that soul bond mess and away from the Mikaelsons.”
“Uh, ya, ok. Bye, Bonnie.”
I end the call and pull into the Grill’s parking lot. As I step out of my car, cross the street, and enter the grill, one thought won’t leave my head.
“What if I don’t want to break the bond?”
—
“Y/n?”
I stop walking and smile when my eyes meet Finn’s brown ones.
“Hey, Finn,” I slide into the seat in the booth across from him and can’t help but smile at the obvious discomfort he has plastered on his face.
“You look…”
“Uncomfortable…yes I know. A lot of things have changed since I was last part of civilization,” Finn fiddles with the ring on his middle finger and it reminds me of the anxious tic I do quite often.
“We could’ve met somewhere else. I know that being in big crowds like this unsettles me too,” I smile softly at him.
Finn eyes a group of passersby wearily but still shakes his head, “No…I’m alright. If I’m going to be a part of this world I’ve got to learn to live with these things.”
I nod, “Okay. So, why exactly did you have Rebekah call me to meet you here?” Finn turns his attention away from a drunk woman who seems to be having the time of her life, “You said you’d help me find my Rose.”
Oh…ya I did.
I cringe slightly, “So here’s the thing Finn,” I’m about to tell Finn that there is no way in hell Bonnie would agree to bring another old ass vampire to Mystic Falls after what just went down, but as I look at the helpless expression on Finn’s face and the loneliness in his eyes, something in my breaks, “My witch is currently out of town for a family thing,” Finn’s shoulders sag and his face drops, “But, she said she’d be happy to help as soon as she gets back.”
Finn eyes me for a moment before a soft smile on his face appears, “I’ve waited 900 years for her…a little longer will be fine. Thank you for helping me, Y/n, I know you don’t have to but…”
“Finn we’re friends, that’s what friends do,” I say simply and Finn frowns.
“Friends?”
The way he says the word aloud is as if he’s never heard it before.
“I mean you don’t have to be my friend, I was just-”
“I would like it,” Finn interrupts me, “It’s just that I’ve never really…had one before.”
His words bring back memories of me crying in my room, wondering why no one ever wanted to be around me and it makes me realize just how much me and this 1,000-year-old man have in common.
“Well, I just got my first friend like 3 months ago, so I’m pretty new to this whole friend thing too.”
Finn frowns, “I don’t understand why someone wouldn’t want to be friends with you.”
I shrug, “I’m peculiar, remember?”
Finn’s upper lip twitches, “That we are.”
—
“Wait… so Kim is the oldest?”
I groan at Finn’s words, “Finnias, no! We’ve been over this Kourtney is the oldest! Kim is the one dating Kanye.”
Finn nods thoughtfully, “And we don’t like Kanye?”
I shake my head, “No because he was mean to Taylor Swift.”
I watch as the wheels turn in Finn’s head as he continues to piece together all the information on pop culture I’ve given him in the past hour.
“Alright, I think I’m understanding. Actually…remind me again who Hannah Montana is?”
“Well, don’t you two look comfy together!”
I roll my eyes as I turn to see Demon Salvawhore smirking down at Finnias and I.
“What do you want, Demon?”
“I thought his name was Damon,” Finn questions me with a confused look.
“It is, but I still haven’t seen him and Lucifer in the same place at once so I call him Demon.”
Finn nods but looks down at his hands with a confused look.
“I just saw you two here chatting it up so I thought I might come say hi.”
“Well, we’re kind of in the middle of something here. So feel free to take your leave,” I glare at him.
“It’s alright, Y/n,” Finn says and I turn to see him getting out of the booth, “I should probably get back to make sure my siblings are still alright. But…thank you, for today and helping me.”
I smile up at Finn, “Anytime, Finnieas. And I’ll talk to Klaus about buying you that phone so I can show you how to text.”
Finn nods his head, smiling, and then walks away.
My smile falls as I glance back to Demon.
“What do you want?” “Why are you avoiding me?”
I blink slowly at him, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Damon gives me an “Are you serious” look.
“Don’t play dumb with me, Pukey. I’ve tried calling you all night last night and all this morning. Only to find you here with yet another original.”
I stand up and glare at him, “Finn is my friend.”
“Ya? Just like Elijah and Klaus are right?”
This bitch.
“I’m not doing this with you right now, Damon. Leave me alone.”
I turn and walk away but Damon’s hand grabs my upper arm.
“Y/n, stop.”
“Is there a problem here, Y/n?”
I turn to my right to find Rebekah at my side, glaring at Damon.
“No, Rebekah. Nothing I can’t handle.”
Rebekah smiles at me but doesn’t move.
Damon drops my arm but doesn’t leave, “Why are you mad at me?”
It’s my turn to give him an “Are you serious” look, “Really Damon?! You almost killed the Mikaelson yesterday, which almost killed me, and then you actually did kill Bonnie’s mom who is now turning into a vampire?!”
Damon rolls his eyes and I fight the urge to slap him.
“Bonnie’s mom needed to die,” He says simply and I glare at him.
“And why was that?”
Damon doesn’t blink, “Because it came down to you or her,” His voice comes out strong, “And I’d pretty much kill everyone in this town if it meant my best friend stayed alive.”
Oh, Jesus Christ, I’m going to cry.
“Oh…”
Damon tilts his head, annoyed, “That’s all you have to say. Oh?”
The next thing I know I’m throwing my arms around him.
Damon doesn’t move for a moment, but after a few seconds his arms wrap around me and he pats my head awkwardly, “Ya, okay, Pukey. Love you too.”
I let go of Damon and fight back tears in my eyes. Damon rolls his eyes and fies his jacket trying to act tough.
“You’re too emotional,” He says nonchalantly.
I punch him in the arm, “You just called me your best friend. Not takebacks, Demon.”
Damon rolls his eyes dramatically, “Ya whatever, Pukey.”
He reaches out a hand and messes up my hair before turning around and walking away, not before I spot the small smile on his face.
“You guys are odd.”
Rebekah’s British accent makes me remember she’s standing beside me.
“Ya, kind of.”
Rebekah rolls her blue eyes and a wave of jealousy flows through me. How is it that someone can be this pretty?!
“So…Elijah didn’t come back until early this morning,” Rebekah’s lips morph into a smirk, “Do you know anything about that?”
I feel my face heat up, “Um…nope.”
Rebekah raises an eyebrow, “Are you sure? Because the smile that was plastered on his face all this morning says otherwise.”
I furrow my brows, “What does him smiling have to do with me?”
Rebekah gives me an “Are you serious” look, guess it’s common today, “Maybe because the only time my older brother smiles is when he’s around you…And he was really smiling this morning.”
At her tone I freeze, “Wait…do you think that we…” I move my hands around, “Y’know…”
Rebekah raises an eyebrow at me, “Well, didn’t you?”
I shake my head viciously, “No! All we did was kiss and then he watched Coraline with me until I went to sleep!”
Rebekah’s face falls, “Seriously? You’ve got my older brother all giddy after one kiss.”
I shrug, “I doubt he was “giddy”.
Rebekah nods her head, “Oh trust me, he was practically singing when he was making his morning coffee.
I snort out a laugh at her words and try to imagine Elijah singing.
“I like seeing him that way…happy. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any of my siblings like that.”
At her solemn voice, I frown, “How are you doing? After everything…”
Rebekah shrugs, “I’m fine. There’s no reason why I shouldn’t be.”
Her dismissal has me frowning deeper, “Bekah, you’re mother died. I know that she tried to kill you but it doesn’t change the fact that she was still your mother.”
Rebekah looks at me but her face doesn’t betray how she’s really feeling, “I’m fine, Y/n. Finn was the mummy’s boy. I don’t give a damn about that woman.”
I nod but still don’t believe her, “Well if you ever do need to talk to someone. You can always call me.”
Rebekah eyes me for a moment skeptically, then nods, “I won’t need to but…thanks. I guess,” Her attention strays for a moment, “There is someone I need to go talk to. Goodbye, Y/n.”
“Bye, Rebekah.”
—
I pull into my driveway but feel a frown come over my face as I notice an unfamiliar expensive-looking black car in my usual parking spot.
I park beside it and hurry into the house, worrying about Theo.
“Theo! Are you okay-”
“So, both of you have your bananas, and these right here are condoms,” I turn the corner and my jaw drops as I see Theo holding up a banana and a Trojan condom. An unfamiliar sound comes out of my mouth when I look at the two figures sitting on the couch before him with bananas in their hands and annoyed looks on their faces. Klaus and Elijah.
“Theo what the hell are you doing?!?”
My yell of utter horror catches the three men’s attention.
“Oh, goody! Sister, I’m glad you’re here,” Theo drops his banana on the coffee table before Klaus and Elijah, a table that is covered in condoms and STD pamphlets, “After our little talk this morning I got to thinking and decided that if you and I aren’t going to talk about the elephants in the room, I’d just call up your boyfriends and have that chat with them myself.”
I stare wide-eyed at Elijah and Klaus, “And you both agreed to this?!?”
Elijah releases a deep sigh and Klaus glares at my little brother, “Your infant here called us and said we had to get over here because you were in danger.”
Theo raises his hands, “YES! In danger of catching a vampire STD.”
“Theo! Those don’t exist,” I screech at him.
“That’s exactly what we’ve tried to explain to him for the past 30 minutes, Elskan. For some reason, it isn’t sticking,” Elijah raises his head and shoots a dirty look at my brother.
“Thirty minutes!? You’ve been sitting here for thirty minutes letting my 16-year-old brother have the sex talk with you!?”
“Well, 15 of those minutes were filled with threats,” Klaus mutters.
I glare at him, “I thought I told you to stop threatening my brother.”
Klaus turns his glare onto me and raises his hands in exhaustion, “The threats were from him, Love! And they were quite imaginative.”
“Thank you, I’ve been working on them for a while now,” Theo smirks at Klaus, and the hybrid growls at him.
“Niklaus, please,” Elijah sighs.
Theo turns his attention back onto me, “Well now that you’re here,” He drags me over to a chair and pushes me down into, “I can finally give you the talk.”
“What talk,” Elijah asks confused.
Theo looks at him like he’s stupid, “The sex talk, dumbass. Since you,” He points to Elijah, “Like to spend the night in my sister’s bed without asking me permission. And you,” He points to Klaus, “Like to slobber all over her like the dog you are. I thought it would be a good idea to have this discussion before things move further. Now gentleman pick your bananas back up.”
“Theo! NO!”
Theo ignores me and smiles at Klaus and Elijah, who haven’t moved.
“One more dog joke out of you, Theodora and I swear I’ll-”
“Niklaus!”
Elijah and Klaus eye each other and Theo just stands there tapping his shoe on the hardwood floor.
“Theo go to your room, right now,” I stand up and glare at him, “We are not having this discussion right now…or ever!”
“But the vampire STDS!”
“Theodore there are no such things as vampire STDS! GO TO YOUR ROOM!”
My yelling has all three men looking at me wearily.
Theo raises his hands in surrender, “Ok, fine. Just trying to help.”
“And leave the condom here!”
Theo halts and turns back to the table and Klaus, Elijah, and I watch as Theo empties maybe 30 condoms from his jeans.
“Bloody hell,” Klaus mutters.
I glare at Theo as he skips out of the living room and down the hall to his room. As soon as I hear his door close I run a hand over my face.
“Elskan-”
I raise a hand stopping Elijah before he can continue.
“Nope. Whatever you’re going to say…just nope.”
“Well, I’m never going to look at a banana the same way,” Klaus’ says sarcastically and I’m silent for a moment before a loud laugh escapes my mouth.
I move my hands from my face and find Klaus smirking at me, and Elijah smiling softly at me with a bright look in his eyes.
“Why didn’t you both just leave,” I asked incredulously, “You two are the strongest and oldest creatures alive, and yet you stayed to have a teenage boy teach you how condoms work?!”
Klaus and Elijah side-eye each other.
Elijah stands from his seat and fixes his suit jacket, “When we heard that you were in danger we hurried over here as fast as we could…but when we came inside and found this,” He gestures to the table of condoms and bananas, “We were going to leave.”
“And then Theodora locked the door behind us and told us that if we didn’t sit down and shut up he’d never give us his approval. And then said that we can bet our asses that if we don’t have his approval, you’d never speak to us again. I of course told him to go to hell but my brother here sat down like the good boy he is,” Klaus says and rolls his eyes.
“And yet you’re still here,” Elijah mutters.
“So let me get this straight,” I look to both of them, “You endured Theo’s company for 30 minutes, just because you want his approval?!”
“If his approval means you accepting us…then of course we did.”
Klaus mutters something about Theo and daggers, but I ignore him.
“You really care that much?”
Klaus and Elijah both give me “Are you serious” looks.
“Love, I thought we made our thoughts about you quite known,” Klaus says as he stands, “We want you. Even if that means you come with a less than exceptional little brother as baggage.”
I snort at Klaus’ words and Elijah walks across the table and over to me, “There is nothing in this world I desire more than your company and happiness, Y/n. Please believe me when I say that.”
I feel my face heat up at the attention of the two men and I nod.
“I believe you.”
“Great,” Klaus says then pauses, “Also…I was just wondering what exactly was discussed by you and Theodora to warrant all of this,” He gestures to the table with a smirk.
Oh fuck.

Did anyone who watched the vampire diaries, the originals, House of the Dragon, and Game of Thrones ever stop to think?
THE MIKAELSONS AS THE TARGARYENS AU
Did anyone ever have that thought? No?
Their family crest literally has a serpent like dragon underneath the M.
And Plus Hayley could be A FREAKING STARK, SO HOPE COULD BE HALF TARGARYEN AND HALF STARK
This au has so much potential, TELL ME I'M WRONG.
Do you know what we need? We need the mikaelson family as Targaryen. We need their titles. We need their dragons and their dragon names. We need EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

Humans reveled in the idea of immortality, but those who possessed it were all too aware of the horrors it brought with it. Throughout his long life, Elijah Mikaelson had lost countless people he cared about and at some point, he just stopped caring about anyone outside of his family. So when his brother betrayed him, he was left utterly alone. That is until his best friend returned.
►Book 2: I Know Places »» ongoing (AO3 & Wattpad) 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐲. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐱 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬. However, given their family's propensity to make enemies everywhere they turn, that was beginning to seem unlikely. With Klaus being held captive and Elijah being forcibly separated from his family, it was only a matter of time before their lives were once again in jeopardy. ►The Great War Outtakes »» ongoing (AO3 & Wattpad) While Astra and Elijah are on their own adventures taking place in The Great War, the Mikaelsons continue their lives in the French Quarter. Basically, The Great War is getting far too long and there are so many side stories I want to tell. ►Prequel: You're On Your Own, Kid »» ongoing (AO3 & Wattpad) 1035 years before the birth of Hope Mikaelson, her family arrived on the shores of Vinland. With the werewolves to the north and witches to the south, Esther and Mikael had no idea what awaited their family in the new world. Elijah, Niklaus, and Rebekah find themselves growing up in a village on the brink of a supernatural war.
𝙁𝙞𝙭-𝙄𝙩-𝙁𝙞𝙘𝙨 (𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨):
►The Last Sacrifice »» Complete (AO3 & Wattpad) The Hollow had taken so much from them already. Elijah was determined it would not take any more from his family. Alternate ending to Season 4 -- how I believe it should have ended if the writers had stuck closer to certain character traits. ►Don't It Just Break Your Heart »» Complete (AO3 & Wattpad) The Mikaelsons are the strongest creatures that roam the earth and they would stop at nothing to protect their family. Alternate ending to Season 5 -- how it could have ended if the creators weren't rushing to kill off all of our faves just to make Legacies. ►Come Home »» ongoing (AO3 & Wattpad) Elijah doesn't remember his past but he knows of the atrocities of the Mikaelsons. So he's considerably surprised to receive a letter from a woman he had briefly met in France postmarked from New Orleans, the city of the Original family. Alternate ending to Season 5 -- how it could have happened if Elijah received Hayley's letter while she was still alive.
Tumblr One-Shots
