Grand Duke George of Russia, son of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna (current head of the House of Romanov) announced the birth of his first son to his wife, Princess Victoria Romanovna (née Rebecca Bettarini) on october 21, 2022.

The baby's name is Alexander. Both mother and son are doing well.

09.24.2021 🇷🇺 George Mikhailovich Romanov civilly married Rebecca Bettarini at the Khamovnichesky registry office in Moscow. Here they are legally husband and wife. On the occasion of the wedding, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna bestowed on her new daughter-in-law the title of Princess Romanoff, with the predicate of Serene Highness. Victoria arrived at the administration in a dress made by designer Chiara Boni. The dress was frosted blue with gold thread embroidery. These embroideries are inspired by traditional folk patterns of Khokhloma. This shade of blue is also the color of the Imperial Order of St. Andrew, which is the most important dynastic order of the Russian Imperial House. The light blue ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew, an order founded by Peter the Great in 1698, served as the inspiration for the tone of the civil wedding gown.
