i played like 20 minutes of sonic cd and i got the furthest i ever have in a 2d sonic game. i made it through 2.6 zones!! made it through palmtree panic, collision chaos, and tidal tempest up until i died in act 3. i truly honestly still don’t really “get” 2d sonic but i think i tolerate levels that aren’t green hill zone far more readily

#i play sonic games for the plot.#rambles #gemsposting #seriously i really do not like green hill zone whatsoever.#i have played it in sonic 1 (both 16-bit and 8-bit); mania; forces; and frontiers cyberspace 1-4 #i did not like any of them. i find myself instinctively disliking anything with green hill iconography #really soured my appetite to even attempting to play 2d sonic games #cause i’d’ve wanted to play sonic 1 or mania first #but i’ve not gotten through act two in either
