@readthedream hello! Saw your comment and wanted to elaborate on my decision “ Lucas was another hard character to pinpoint. I finally decided he works as Ravenclaw because of his focus on logic and his independent nature. He sticks to the facts, realizing that something is odd about Eleven even when nobody else seems to think it's a problem. He doesn't trust her easily, and he's determined to find Will. He's an independent thinker that uses his brain to solve the problems on his own when his friends won't cooperate. While some of the time he can come across Slytherin--he's shrewd and seems to be achievement-oriented--I don't think he quite fits that house. Thus, Lucas Sinclair is Ravenclaw.” And for Dustin, “ Dustin was hard to sort. He exhibits a lot of qualities that scream Hufflepuff, but he also relies heavily on knowledge and logic, and he loves learning about the intricate details of science. Despite this love for learning, I decided Dustin fits better into Hufflepuff than Ravenclaw. He is very loyal to his friends. He's the one that is always breaking up the fights and making sure everybody gets along. He wants to have fun with his friends. He's friendly to everybody, offering the last slice of pizza to Nancy or greeting Eleven with his winning smile. I think his love for learning flows into his Hufflepuff nature, which makes him a hard worker and a loyal friend. Dustin Henderson is Hufflepuff. “

Book Review Alert! The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain

Full Disclosure: This book will make you feel ALL the feels. All of them.

Not one to lie though. As I started reading it I wasn't sure where the book was going with the story. I had read the summary preview of it, but was confused on how or when it would get to the point.

I admit, I wanted to stop reading it for the first half of the book. 😂😂 Then I wanted to death stare her brother in law to death when he realized it was September 11. 😫

If you are becoming a new mother and aren't sure if you can do it, whether alone or in a relationship, this book is for you. If you've ever had to give up your child and aren't sure how to live with that, read this book. And lastly, any parent who has felt helpless when their child is hurting, read this.

There are so many dynamics at play in every family relationship in this book. Especially motherhood. Diane Chamberlain hit the spot on what a rollercoadter it is to be a parent in any generation. Love, acceptance, empathy, compassion, and sacrifice.

Life won't always hand you what you want but you have to keep faith like the entire family in this book. It was an amazing read and very well written. Every emotion, even if short lived, was fully developed so you were in the shoes of a mother. Alone, unsure, and full of love for her child.

The book is out now so go check it out and purchase a copy! One of the best books I have ever had the pleasure to read. 💚💚
