There was a street right in front of my house, and beyond that was the endless desert, smooth and soft, full of serene mystery, stretching out all the way to the edge of the sky. It was a yellowish orange colour. I thought the surface of the moon probably looked pretty similar to this place. I loved how the desert was stained red at sunset. Every day as the sun went down, I’d sit on the roof until the sky was totally dark and feel an immense loneliness, out of nowhere, deep in my heart.

quiet saturday by myself. went to collect a package & run some errands and had a stroll in the neighbourhood nearby. the weather is so so lovely and everyone's hanging their clothes to dry outside windows. took some photos on my film camera + planted wildflowers seeds in the little green patch around the front door. read a while and am now doing crosswords lounging in bed. looking forward to dinner and watching smth with my roommate :-) all is well

this is kitchen by banana yoshimoto, and currently i’m in the first story’s second chapter. and it is SUCH A COZY AND WARM BOOK IM IN LOOVE.

It truly gives you a warm hug, and i dont know how to put it but it is written like its a warm dream??
