it'd be fangedfolk, since they're canine (dogs) and are most attracted to the humans'…hm , simplicity and openness, i suppose you could say? and possibly treefolk (primates). i based my beastfolks' basic common grounds with irl animals, as canines are pack animals and dogs are more emotionally connected to us. as for primates, humans have evolutionary connections, similar social intelligence, and the shared abilities to solve problems and such.

that said, while fangedfolk are the most likely to have a human "companion", they are also most likely to have a poly pack with their human. whiskeredfolk (feline) are probably in the top-middle of that list, if we were to have a most-to-least likely ranking, with toothedfolk (rodents) due to their prey/nervous natures and seafolks (aquatic) on how dangerous/rare they are to communicate with, at the very bottom. the reason why i feel the whiskeredfolk being in the top-middle is that they can be fairly arrogant and being independent, but adores the complete attention their human can give them and how easily they are to manipulate.

that said, this is extremely generalized list, since the list is not really factoring in specific sub-groups under these categories, such as lions being social animals and are more likely to acquire a human lover, cheetahs more likely to need a service human pet to help with their anxieties, maned wolf being solitary type, etc. and other facets, like countries/areas, cultures, when/which eras, political affiliations, etc.

Dreams do not manifest themselves in their apparent form. Imam Ahl-e-Sunnat Maulana Sarfaraz Khan Safdar rh writes:

There is one aspect of dreams that contains a hidden reality, which is known as interpretation (ta'beer). Sometimes a dream may seem very pleasant and full of good tidings, but its reality can be completely opposite. At other times, a dream may appear to be dark, sorrowful, and terrifying, but its inner aspect and interpretation can be very beautiful, pleasant, and favorable. Once the interpretation is revealed, the dreamer experiences immense joy. Here are a few references regarding this second category of dreams:

1. The aunt of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Ummul-Fadl bint Al-Harith said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw a terrible dream last night." He asked, "What is it?" She replied, "It is severe." He said, "What is it?" She said, "I saw as if a piece of your body was cut off and placed in my lap." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "You have seen a good dream; Fatimah will, God willing, give birth to a boy who will be in your lap." So Fatimah ؓ gave birth to Hussain, and he was in my lap just as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said.

Note how initially it seemed like a bad dream, and Ummul-Fadl was hesitant to describe it, yet its interpretation was excellent.

2. If someone sees themselves in a dream wearing handcuffs, they would surely be frightened. However, Hazrat Abu Hurairahؓ stated that he liked handcuffs but disliked shackles around his neck because handcuffs are a sign of steadfastness.

Just as the teacher had said, this interpretation came true.

I can firmly say that if I had mentioned the name of Deobandi scholar instead of Imam Abu Hanifah, these fitna mongers would have already issued a fatwa claiming that "they (deobandis) have desecrated the grave of the Prophet (peace be upon him)." (God forbid). May Allah grant understanding.

In the books of history, it is mentioned about Caliph Harun Rashid's wife, Zubeda, that she saw a dream in which a large number of people from all over the world were fornicating (committing zina) with her.She woke up scared and deeply uncomfortable, but when the interpretation was sought, it was revealed that Allah would take such a service from her that the whole world would benefit (faiz) from her.

No Fatwa on Dreams

The second principle is that dreams are seen in a state of sleep, and the words, actions, and deeds that occur in this state hold no validity in Shari'ah. For instance, if someone commits an act of disbelief in a dream (God forbid), they will not be held accountable because at this time, they are considered marfu’ al-qalam' (exempt from accountability).

It is narrated from Ummul-Mu'mineen Aisha rdh that:

"The pen is lifted from three: from the sleeper until he wakes up, from the insane until he regains his sanity, and from the child until he reaches maturity."

With similar narrations, scholars have derived the principle that no aspect of a dream is valid; therefore, there is no accountability for disbelief, Islam, marriage, or divorce based on dreams.

Imam Muḥammad Amīn ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Aḥmad in ʿAbd ar-Raḥīm ibn Najmuddīn ibn Muḥammad Ṣalāḥuddīn al-Shāmī (d 1252 AH) knowns as Allama Ibn Ābidīn Shāmī writes,

وَلِذَا لَا یَتَّصِفُ بِصِدْقٍ وَّلاَکِذْبٍ وَّلاَ خَبْرٍ وَلا اِنْشَائٍ وَّ فِی التَّحْرِیْرِ وَ تَبْطُلُ عِبَارَاتُہُ مِنَ الْاِسْلَامِ وَالرِّدَّۃِ وَالطَّلاَ قِ وَلَمْ تُوْصَفْ بِخَبْرٍ وَّلاَ اِنْشَائٍ وَّ صِدْقٍ وَّ کِذْبٍ کَاِلْحَانِ الطُّیُوْرِ

(شامی،ج۳،ص۲۴۵،مطلب فی تعریف السکران و حکمہ)

Translation: This is why the speech of a sleeper is not characterized by truth, falsehood, news, or Insha. In Tahrīr al-Usūl, it is stated that the speech of the sleeper, such as declaring Islam or becoming an apostate, or giving divorce, is all void and meaningless; it cannot be classified as news or creation, nor can it be considered true or false, similar to the sounds of birds.

He also writes at one place,

"If a sleeping person accepts Islam, becomes murtad, gives talaq, all this is baatil and laghv"

Thus, if there is no validity of a dream in Shari'ah, then issuing a fatwa of blasphemy or disbelief based on dreams is a great injustice and ignorance.

This means that according to the Barelvis, if someone commits disbelief in a dream, the Barelvi scholars do not object to it; their objection would be based on the state of wakefulness. With this single reference, the entire facade created by the Barelvis collapses, but to conclude the argument, we will also provide answers to the dreams presented by the objectors.

Barelvi scholar Abu Kaleem Siddiq Fani writes:

"The rulings of Shari'ah do not apply to the events and circumstances of dreams."
