Some major changes for the riverclan smudge au

Leopardstar is mothwing and hawkfrosts mom, covering it up with the assistance of Mosspelt. This doesn’t come to light until series 2 with Smudge’s kits.

Smudge is Cloudtails dad and falls for Princess early on in his journey. Princess struggles on who she gives him to, before ultimately giving him to Fireheart still due to their blood relation. This causes a rift between Smudge, Princess, and Fireheart, and reinforces Smudge’s loyalty to Riverclan.

Smudge (now a warrior) runs into Fireheart and Graystripe when they begin their search for Windclan. Smudge has always been against encroaching on Windlcans territory, and so decides to help the two warriors on their mission. Due to this, Graystripe avoids the incident involving Whiteclaw.

Smudge witnesses Silverstream and Graystripes affair and becomes her confidante. He doesn’t betray her trust, but, does become rather antagonistic towards Graystripe after her death.

Smudge has to deal with a lot of inner turmoil over how Leopardstar is allied with Tigerstar, and is faced with threats when he discovers their romance. Against his will, Smudge has to comply with a lot of the bad things that happen in the first arc.
