heatwave and optimus are such an underrated comedic duo. every single time they are in the same vicinity as each other everything immediately goes to shit. this is i think because they are both primus's blorbos, and in true blorbo fashion, must suffer. greatly. anyway this leads to some very fun interactions such as:
heatwave, newly appointed leader of like every rescue bot, on his first day as a secret alien on earth, immediately deciding he wants to leave right after accepting optimus's orders. and when he can't do that, he starts talking to people because he has no fear i guess.
optimus prime, leader of the cybertronian race, chosen by primus, and guy who says "nothing much, double dutch" in response to an extremely casual greeting in a very formal situation in front of his child (heatwave), presumably to embarrass said child.
heatwave, recent student of optimus's old friend who is a respected and decorated war veteran as well as a long time rescue bot, calling optimus (WHO IS FRIENDS WITH THIS GUY) just to bitch at him.
optimus prime, protector of civilians and humanity, fully prepared to watch a game show (created by blades and chase) in which a human child gets electrocuted. (there was a misunderstanding involving the term "lightning round" in trivia).
heatwave, rescue team leader, assigned to protect humans, straight up just driving off a cliff into the ocean with no warning, with his human partner who is screaming, all to win a race.
optimus prime, by now nearly a godlike figure, adopted father of all the rescue bots, also a terrible communicator, ghosting his kids for four years (get it. ghost. bc he died.) and then not explaining ever.
like literally i could go on but they are total messes and it's hilarious. where is all the content of incredibly chaotic and weird father daughter bonding for heatwave and optimus. they are so funny.
(yes i meant to type daughter bc heatwave gives off eldest daughter energy ok. no other reason for the shit he pulls.)

I was watching a few episodes of Rescue Bots academy and as I was watching I realized I went down the rabbit hole of ships.
Whirl reminded me sm of Blades, but she also has a mix of Chase, and as I was watching, I literally said to myself: "Aw, ChaseBlades love child."
Which had me thinking(as always, cuz when am I not lmao), is ChaseBlades a ship?? Cuz if it is, I am so for it. Like, Chase is just so silly, and Blades is such a diva. Idk how to explain it other than the fact that it just works??
Whirl is like a mix of them both and was automatically my favorite(besides Hotshot). Like she's so silly, a little goober.
Anyways, I'm probably gonna finish watching the rest of S1.
The only side not is that I don't like Heatwave's design. What did they do to him 💔 it's okay tho cuz it's Heatwave, but STILL 💔💔

Does anybody else think Brushfire from RBA would be adopted by Anode and Lug or is that just me?

I mean look at them! I feel like it would be Brushfire’s dream to get mentored by an archeologist and a geologist who are both adventurers.

Ok but like... He does canonically care for it. And also in RBA (Rescue Bots Academy), that Whirl has a drawing of her with IDW Whirl on her locker (presumably IDW Whirl is her dad, at least that's how literally everyone takes it)
WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY FAVORITE IMPOSSIBLE BUT FANON THEORY- *gets shot as well*
Whirl is the type of person to absolutely thrive as a caretaker. Guy found people who are somehow even more messed up that he is and decided that, yeah, he's gonna kick their afts onto a better day, and if he's following them then what are you gonna do about it?
He's not a good person by any means, but Whirl has proved time and time again that he cares, and he can get better for the sake of it.
(He also has a weird affinity to monsters for some reason not sure what that tells us, he seems so much happier taking care of the scrapling swarm)
In conclusion I think Whirl should be considered a DILF- *gets shot*

My running theory for some Decepticons is that they become cons to get away with more.
Warning this becomes a rant about how autobots are just as bad at times but they tend to hide it more or it goes unnoticed, a bit less than halfway down.
fyi this is me over analyzing Prime and Earthspark :3
Some cons just become cons to get away with doing shit they know is bad because I mean, in most shows cons are mostly depicted only respecting higher ranks if they respect anyone at all, and I mean just look at Airachnid, did the Decepticons tell her to drive a bunch of species to extinction? I don’t believe so, did the Decepticons punish her? No, would the Autobots have let that fly? Idk maybe, I mean I haven’t read the comics or played the games but I’ve heard abt autobots doing near as bad or worse, but Decepticons have always been considered bad, so they don’t usually care much if their reputation is stained anymore than it is.
Autobots tend to hide the bad, not wanting it to deter possible allies, take prime for example, in RBA(Rescue bots academy) whirl has no fucking idea what cons are, which means they might not even know what the war was and that means they were either sheltered, had bad education, or Autobots decided to hide the wrong they and the Decepticons have done, I’d like to say Ratchet would not approve of history erasure because he says “THE PAST ALWAYS MATTERS” or something along those lines and despite being an unreliable narrator for the rising of Megatronus and Optimus prime he is correct. The Autobots will take what they can get knowing Decepticons are viewed as evil and the Autobots vice versa. Take the prime kids for example, they would believe ratchets story without question simply knowing autobots are “the good guys” and so they must always be telling the truth right? No Ratchet is an old man in politics, he is very biased, he is going to say Optimus was the better guy.
Prime Wheeljack nearly offs Miko, multiple times may I add, I get Miko was reckless too but Wheeljack knows better, he knew Miko was easy to squish but let her run around while he caused explosions in an energon mine and nearly stepped on her at least a few times that same episode I think, The only reason Miko trusted him not to was because he was an Autobot, just like Bulkhead, they were both wreckers too, so she probably though Wheeljack knew to be careful(obviously he did not because we know Wheeljack is immature, I love Wheeljack but I stand with Maggie because Wheeljack was actively putting Miko in Danger)
And we have the older bots in Earthspark, Optimus put Mo, Robby, Twitch, and Thrash in danger by bringing them to ghost headquarters, you wouldn’t bring a child around a bunch of weapons or Decepticons would you? OPTIMUS PRIME DID DESPITE KNOWING THEY WERE MEANT TO BE A SECRET! I know he expected them to stay in the trailer but did he really? I like to think he acts stupid but in reality is a shady Mech, but I know they just made him a himbo, and I do love that but OP has been around children in his lifetime, he’s been on earth long enough to know kids don’t always behave. Megatron sort of know but at the same time he’s not an Autobot, he’s simply an ally and most don’t hold him to the standards we hold Optimus to simply because he isn’t an Autobot, back around to my point that Autobots are expected to be good while cons are expected to have bad behavior and commit horrid crimes. The adult bots are also a bit careless with the Terrans because they think the Terrans can handle it, I believe the thought process is toughening them up, thinking they can do it because they’re partially Cybertronian, or they haven’t had young around in so long that they just don’t know how to handle it, for example Bee expected them to learn way too quick, and I’ll get to how Bee is just a bunch of teenage angst songs and sad love songs and rare American songs mixed together to create the sentient product of being a child soldier who lived to tell the tale(He was a child in G1, you won’t change my mind don’t try.) The Older bots leave the Terrans house unguarded despite the fact the Decepticons know exactly where they are, and I do like that the cons didn’t just attack there because it would’ve been so easy to just do it and get things over with.

|Scylla's song from epic the musical but with...|TFP|
Just imagine the predacons ate/kill the sailors around griffen rock(RB and RBA of the islands are) and mistaken(From the theory I remember by Ultra primus on YT) them for the magical beasts from the myths?
And also I love Scylla's voice- but also would this fit for the past ancestors of the Predacons long before Predaking??Cause like his kind was slaughter and such and he wants to raise his sibling hoods back from the dead(Heh,the fallen)- And just finding out he is getting used and his kind would be like slaves(I forgot- but someth like that)

Context: this post
And this post
Guys... yeah...
I made it again-
Do you remember it seems Wedge (TF RBA) was supposed to be a decepticon? Well, I do believe in coincidences but I love them because I can use them in my favor for this kind of shit
What if OP let Wedge be a rescue bot because Wedge's is Heatwave's nephew????
And yes, I have an explanation
The green post is a post about a little theory of why Nitro Zeus looks so alike to Soundwave and Shockwave (pure coincidence made by me) and basically the theory is that Nitro Zeus from Bayverse is Heatwave from Aligned
But then I made the orange post and during it I decided to discharge that theory and that maybe this Nitro Zeus is just another Wave, which as you saw in the Orange post his name was supposed to be Radiowave
And yes: new character
Radiowave is the youngest of the now quintuplet, he never met his siblings, including Lightwave, not even a single photo, and so he grew far away from them, never knowing they existed
Radiowave, never knowing his spark-name was called W-33, and as expected as the youngest, if you keep a good track of my posts enough to be a stalker, he was the biggest of the 5 Waves, taller than Soundwave and the they're as big as OP in Life of Rescue Bots Au, so he was sent to be a constructicon, later becoming a decepticon when war started
He was know as the best explosive weapon decepticons had, that's why Soundwave and Shockwave never met him, they were most of their time on a lab or with Megatron, but W-33 was always on the field, never ascended to be something else because they didn't wanted to get his behavior out of the battle, where he destroyed everything on his way
Until the battle for the Allspark
W-33 had the luck to be part of the few decepticons that survived enough time to be part of it, but at Megatron's betrayal, he put servos at work against Soundwave and Shockwave's knowledge (who were with Starscream the ones who put decepticons in order when Meg decided to go) and despite his help almost made decepticons win, the autobots managed to sent away the Allspark and destroy the last space bridge at Earth (Based on Earthspark)
He died during the battle
Things went as expected and as knew, completely normal
Until Wedge appeared
You'll see, Shockwave wasn't the only one playing with sparks
Another decepticon was putting servos at work and had a sample of W-33 spark, this lab was discovered by Bee and his team during their adventure (basically TF: RiD15 events but this time they were searching for an specific someone in outer-space) and later they discovered Wedge, who was still a sparkling and was sent to Earth
During that time, Shockwave and OP were again working together as old times, so, Shock noticed something... weird about Wedge, and to protect him, and because Wedge actually knew a lot about Cybertron before it's destruction, including Rescue Bots, he was sent to be a rescue bot at Griffin Rock
And that's the story of how Wedge became a rescue bot cadet :D
I'll talk properly about Radiowave later in another post

(RBA) Is Hotshot's toughness/self absorbed state a bluff?
He talks big all the time. Most of the time. About how awesome he is, about all he can do.
But he was seen to fail. A number of times. And how he took failure?
Well it depends, although he tried to hide it, if he could as often as possible. But what interests me is the moments when he was unable to hide it. How he felt and reacted to when everyone knew he failed. He wanted to run away and hide, he was so ashamed of himself he thought he was truly worthless. If he knew the human expression 'to want to hide in a hole and never come out' he would do it literally.
He may seem at first glance not to care about how his actions may affect things and people, especially by how much he repeats certain mistakes, but that's probably just because he doesn't think that much before he acts. He showed a number of times that when he truly let people down he had a hard time living with himself. Him who can 'move mountains' tripped over a pebble he threw.
So theory time ig... Is his 'awesomeness' some sort of coping mechanism, a way he wants to convince himself and others of his worth? Because if other people's opinion of him matter to him more than his own... Well. Or is it that deep down he has such a low selfesteem that he has to hide it because it's too much to handle? I can't explain otherwise why his winner behaviour crumbles so easily, unless it was a facade of some sort.
And let's not forget that although he admitted he'd never stop being difficult on the teachers, that he also felt bad for them and greatly valued their support. He was always this self aware, but he hardly showed it -except in the moments mentioned above.
S1 finale was particularly interesting because he left his team, although it was truly unnecessary, not only because he believed he had nothing to bring to the team but he was also lead to believe that he had lost his status of a prestigious Cube player, which to him would have meant he had nothing left that makes his existence have a purpose. Well Scorch was pretty much at fault for it but anyways. Just the opinion of someone who didn't know all the things he was capable of during a rescue brought him to the ground within a day.
Ok I don't know how to write a conclusion but you can see where the discussion went. So yeah. I'd like to hear more opinions on this. Cheers!

Idea💡
I don't remember if I actually write this down on Wattpad or what but it's an idea/cute fluff thing-
I like the theory that Glow could be the daughter of Glowstrike , I find it possible and it makes things more interesting to have something else from rid in rba + another ex-con/maybe still con is interesting
So like-
I feel like it would be interesting if she WAS a con, her and wedge can have a bonding moment and then they talk it out and they have their own struggles and bond over that which makes things more Interesting
Please, this idea is haunting me and it's just so cute/fluffy and it's an interesting duo ✨
Have a good day/night!!

It sure is going to be interesting seeing what happens to the average person’s politics in Australia.
Cause lots of folks who made perfectly reasonable life choices are getting fucked cause some absolute bastards at the RBA grab the slider labelled “Human Suffering” and nudged it a fair few notches towards despair.
Like this isn’t people who had any of the typical misfortunes that fuck your life up (and isn’t it shit that there are typical ones) these are just folks who a year ago were fine and now they aren’t and the only changes are price gouging and interest rates.
And like the whole “oh no inflation bad must raise interest rates to stop inflation” just doesn’t fly when everyone at this point is aware that:
1. Interest rates are not an effective way to combat inflation
2. Effecting demand does nothing when all the inflationary pressure is supply side and is either due to actually unavoidable circumstances (war, logistics fuckups etc) or more frequently due to companies price gouging
3. Raising interest rates is intended to increase unemployment, given that the social welfare available to the unemployed is well below the poverty line it could be reasonably said that even if this policy worked as intended it would be inhumane to enact
4. Companies are making record profits
5. The only reason any individual cares about inflation is “my money buys less stuff now” adding “also you have less money” is not an appreciated addition
Like at some point i feel like the whole “i am getting the same or less money, that money buys less and everything is more expensive, but all those companies are posting record profits” can’t help but become some amount of [REDACTED]
(Also fuck the entire bullshit economic theory that the RBA is using, i’d be less pissed if they told me they flipped a coin, that would at least have 50/50 chance of outputting the right answer)
I have not provided sources as i am incredibly tired, however you can find several semi-decent analysis articles on the ABC, there is an It Could Happen Here podcast that touches on it albeit from an American perspective, and you could have a brief skim of wikipedia. Obviously none of that is rigorous academic research but also like I don’t ask people to do rigorous academic work to disprove flat earth theory either so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reshaping the Sensory Environment Sensory Accuracy Survival of all animals depends on the accuracy with which sensory information is processed by the nervous system. Integrating this information in an efficient and effective manner depends on dynamic strategies that the nervous system relies on to determine the reliability and accuracy of the sensory inputs (reviewed by Zaidel, Turner, and Angelaki, 2011). This essay examines contemporary theories that attempt to explain how these strategies function. Reliability-Based Cue Combination (RBCC) Theory The reliability of a sensory cue is believed to determine the weight an organism assigns to a given cue, such that a more reliable cue may have a greater influence on behavioral outcomes (reviewed by Zaidel, Turner, and Angelaki, 2011). Empirical support for this theory has come from studies examining the integration of multisensory information. This theory has been called reliability-based cue combination (RBCC). Reliability, as defined by RBCC, is used interchangeably for sensory precision; however, these terms do not necessarily imply accuracy (reviewed by Zaidel, Turner, and Angelaki, 2011). Accuracy is defined as the degree of agreement between the sensory information and the environment. External feedback is theoretically required for determining accuracy, but in the absence of additional external information, the organism must make do with the degree of agreement between different sensory inputs. For example, the sound of an approaching car can be confirmed visually, but should someone experience hearing a loud bang outside their visual field, an internal validation process will likely occur because visual confirmation is impossible. Reliability-Based Adaptation (RBA) Theory In situations when multisensory inputs disagree, RBCC proposes that the sensory cue with the most reliability will have the greatest influence on behavior (Burges, Girshick, and Banks, 2010, p. 8). Accordingly, if visual information is providing the most reliable cues for a given environment, discrepant auditory or touch information will be discounted or undergo adaptation and/or recalibration relative to the visual information. This theory has been called reliability-based adaptation (RBA) (reviewed by Zaidel, Turner, and Angelaki, 2011). Although some researchers have suggested humans are visually dominant and therefore all other senses adapt to visual cues, recent research provides strong support for the theory that all senses are capable of adapting depending on the situation (Burges, Girshick, and Banks, 2010). For example, hearing a nearby train whistle at night may cause someone to hesitate before crossing a set of railroad tracks, even if they cannot see an approaching train. In this environment, the reliability of aural sensory information is increased relative to visual information because it is nighttime. Despite the empirical evidence indicating the visual system can adapt to a more reliable sensory cue, other studies have provided evidence suggesting that visual information probably represents a default sensory reference in most situations where visual cues are provided. When barn owls had prisms placed in front of their eyes their prey-oriented flight paths suffered, despite the use of both hearing and vision to find and capture prey (reviewed in Burges, Girshick, and Banks, 2010, p. 10). With time however, the owls adapted to the prisms and the accuracy of their flight patterns increased. When their brains were compared to control animals the connections in the auditory cortex, rather than the visual cortex, were modified. Visual dominance, in the form of neurobiological correlates, therefore seems to exist in barn owls. Bias Bias is defined as the difference between what we sense, and the actual value of the sensed property in the environment (reviewed by Scarfe and Hibbard, 2011, p. 2). Sensory accuracy represents the magnitude of this bias. Bias can be introduced by a number of different mechanisms. For example, vibration in the environment can distort sensations of limb position, as can muscle fatigue and preconditioning (reviewed by Winter, Allen, and Proske, 2005, p. 1043-1044). If a person confronts a novel sensory experience, such as an astronaut conducting motor tasks for the first time in the absence of gravity, then bias increases. In contrast, amputees, whether from trauma or chronic disease, frequently experience pain or movement sensations associated with a missing limb (Bestmann et al., 2006). There is little or no agreement between the sensory experience and environmental cues for such individuals and sensory accuracy is therefore minimal. When a phantom limb sensation was triggered in an amputee by transcranial magnetic stimulation and imaged with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), it was discovered that the motor cortex was primarily responsible for this experience. The role of the central nervous system therefore seems to extend beyond the tasks of integrating and calibrating sensory inputs, and includes the internal generation of sensory experience independent of environmental cues. Discussion Sensory information from multiple sources, such as vision, hearing, and touch, are managed by the nervous system to produce an accurate representation of environmental conditions. Because of the complexity inherent in such a system, there is considerable potential for error. When error does occur, the brain prioritizes sensory cues depending on how reliable this cue has been in the past in providing useful information. If external feedback is possible, sensory inputs can be recalibrated over time to increase the accuracy, and thus reliability, of the cues. Judging the accuracy of a sensory input therefore depends on how much agreement there is between multiple sensory inputs, how reliable these sensory inputs have been in the past in providing useful information for navigating the environment, and the novelty of the environmental situation. The accuracy of a sensory cue can depend on many factors. If limb movement is used as an example, then vision, perceived effort, muscle stretch receptors, and position relative to gravity, combine to provide the sensory information needed to determine position, speed, and the trajectory of the moving limb. If a limb is artificially supported, pre-conditioned, or fatigued, then accuracy decreases when a person, who is deprived of their vision, is required to determine limb position (Winter, Allen, and Proske, 2005). However, the expectation would be that the person would be able to adapt over time and increase sensory accuracy using external feedback. Some of the factors contributing to sensory accuracy are therefore nervous system health and an experiential history within a defined environment. Another factor that can decrease sensory accuracy, which was not discussed above, is the amount of sensory noise inherent to an environment. Too little or too much information can impair or preclude sensory information processing. For example, relying too heavily on visual information at night may not be the best strategy for avoiding being run over by a train. The empirical evidence presented here reveals how plastic the nervous system can be with respect to processing sensory information. While the existence of a functional nervous system depends almost completely on genetic determinants (nature), it can be shaped on a neurobiological level in dramatic ways by sensory experience (nurture). This was revealed in a dramatic way by the barn owl experiments. The processes of sensory cue calibration may involve only cognitive adaptation in the short-term, but adaptation over a prolonged period probably relies heavily on rewiring the brain. However, the prevalence of phantom limb sensations in amputees suggests that extinction of some neuronal pathways may not be possible using sensory recalibration and adaptation. Big difference between the way scraplets are treated, and the way they behave, between Prime and RBA. Yet the insecticons were chilling on a dying planet surrounded by the things and never got totally devoured.
My theory is they weren't allowed in the cities. Functionists would have treated them like literal trash, just dumping them in the wastes to tough it out. They would have needed some kind of scraplet repellant to survive.
It clearly doesn't prevent sight targeting, but seems to work for scent targeting. Makes the scraplets easier to outrun, less vicious.
After prime, they probably got the formula from any remaining insecticons or stole it from their corpses. The final whimper of their race was having their only means of survival appropriated by their oppressors.
The kids were probably wearing it like sunscreen.

Inflation falling sharply in Australia while the RBA still is out there threatening rate rises – William Mitchell – Modern Monetary Theory
Yesterday (November 29, 2023), the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released the latest – Monthly Consumer Price Index Indicator – for October 2023, which showed a sharp drop in inflation. This release resolves some of the uncertainty that arose when the September-quarter data came out last month, which showed a slight uptick. I analysed that data release in this blog post – Slight rise in…

oh hell fucking yeah to this third point like??? it's so funny to me when annie ditches the alliance and the scouts are like "she's fought plenty"... no she hasn't??? yes her paradis body count is substantial but afaik she only went on one marley campaign with reibert and marcel beforehand. i will also cite myself dw, this takes a hitchannie angle, but annie is a bit peter pan. no other warrior gets taken out of action for years to reflect, nevermind anything as persistent as hitch's anger and questioning. the next best thing is probably zeke and armin's paths therapy, none of which touches zeke's long military career.
one theory for annie's precociousness goes with my pretty heavy-handed headcanon of mr. leonhart's origins—i imagine his home country was colonized by eldia then "won" by marley like america gained the philippines, guam, puerto rico—so while i doubt he ever sat annie down and explained history besides his own displacement to liberio, i think annie's smart enough to notice he looks different from everyone around them, and if the warrior candidates were shown maps of marley's overseas installations she might have silently noted just how far he came from.
this fanon binary with pieck is so wild to me (i'm a latecomer so you are like a meta archivist to me 🙇🏻♀️). i seriously doubt pieck and zeke were ever ensconced among victims of war in the way RBA were so we can only imagine either of them experiencing (or not experiencing) something like annie's guilt toward stohess, or bertolt's "i think i felt sorry for you" to eren. and zeke's rhetorical line in ch 92 after the one i quoted of "isn't war a terrible thing?" what the fuck are we to do with that????
today i am bemoaning marleyan propaganda again, but specifically how cadet reiner answers shadis he's there "to save humanity," no baby, marley getting their hands on paradis' magic fuel, presumably uranium, would very quantitatively Not save humanity, even zeke's platitude is "our defeat caused this war" no baby monkey man, nothing would sate the machine of empire!!! i wish we got more insight about the other warriors, because as it stands annie had the clearest read of the whole situation at the ripe age of 11: "marley, eldia, they can all go to hell! they're all liars, every one of them! they only ever think about themselves, and i'm the same" (hisuannie......)
we also know pieck doesn't trust marley, but girl i want details!!!! she and zeke have spent the most time on marley's other campaigns, so i think her distrust has grown exponentially since her candidate days since i just can't imagine her spewing devil language like reiner and bertolt. i think her calling out yelena for her stolen valour says a lot, too, maybe not a bleeding heart for marley's actual colonial subjects but way more awareness of the military's larger goals since she and zeke may well have personally invaded like, onyankapon's home country
