For the drabble challenge 89 with Rex
I struggled for a good while on whether or not I wanted this to be funny or painful. Ultimately, the angst won out. Enjoy~!
Rex couldnât breathe.
Re felt numb, feet frozen to the floor. His horror was mirrored by the younger face in front of him, eyes wide and glassy, brows crinkling the dark ink on his face, paling face shadowed by the grey cap on his head.
âI-Iâm sorry sir, I didnât mean to- I never meant, I didnât want to-â
âDogma?â
Dogmaâs mouth snapped shut. His shoulders curled in as his pupils started darting around the great and lavish halls of the Senate Building. His hands twitched towards the scattered documents and the mug broken on the floor, a puddle of caf forming from where it dripped from Rexâs armour, while his knees were bent and feet pointed away, begging for escape.
Dogmaâs breath shook as he dragged in a breath. âI-Iâm sorry, sir. Iâll get- Iâll call a cleaning droid right away, and Iâll accept whatever punishment you think is necessary-â
âDogma,â Rex whispered again. Dogma fell silent once more and he ducked his head, eyes blinking rapidly. âDogma, youâre⊠youâre alive, how are youâŠâ
He reached forward, fingers hesitating as if he were staring at a mirage. Dogma shied away, and Rex yanked his hand back as if he were burnt. But still he didnât leave, so Rex didnât either, drinking up the view of his lost soldier as if the stars would burn out.
âDogma,â he couldnât stop uttering that name. âDogma how⊠how are you⊠are you okay? Are you hurt?â
Dogmaâs eyes are fixed, glassy eyes staring over his shoulder. âThank you for your concern, but Iâm fine, sirâ.
Dogma did not look fine. Dogmaâs skin was far paler than it should be, causing his tattoo to jut out obviously. Dogma was shifting his weight on one side. Dogmaâs greys were hanging oddly on his frame, sagging just the slightest bit in awkward places.
Anger started to simmer under his skin, warring with concern and he fought to keep both feelings off his face. He resisted the urge to curl his hands inward, instead keeping them down and open, palms tilted outward like a plea.Â
âDogma, what happened?â
Finally, Dogmaâs eyes slid and locked onto Rexâs gaze. For a long moment, Rex could only see golden irises glazed over with tears and brows pinched as though in agony. It made Rex want to take that final step forward between them and gather him in his arms, to smooth that expression of pain away from his face and hide him forever. But he held position, not knowing what Dogma would do if he gave in to that desire.
He probably would have, had footsteps not been heard hurrying down the marble floors. Dogma snatched his eyes away from Rexâs and snapped to attention. âSir!â
âTrooper,â Foxâs deep pitch replied from behind Rex. âWhy are you not at your post?â
âSir, there was,â Dogmaâs eyes darted to Rex and back again. â-a situation, sir! Iâm taking care of it, sir!â
âItâs not your job to worry about whether or not the floor is clean enough to eat fromâ Fox droned. âLeave that to the cleaner droids. Get going, you have a job to do.â
âWait-â the word tore out of his throat, because heâd been too stunned to speak when theyâd first crashed, when Rex had exited the door and found himself in collision with the younger clone. He didnât have the right words, but he now had so many questions, so many things he had wanted to say but had missed the chance. But neither man acknowledged the plea and Dogma barreled over his gasp of desperation.
âSir,â he nodded towards Fox, and snapped out a perfect salute, perfect as always and so very Dogma, and without so much as a glance at Rex about faced and took off down the hall.
Rex willed him to come back, to turn around at least one last time, but Dogmaâs head remained facing forwards, ever the perfect soldier. Rex wanted to call out, to get him to wait, to come back, but the words were glued to his throat. Soon, far too soon, Dogma rounded the corner and was gone.
âThe new arrivals are a bit jumpier than usual,â Fox hummed, and Rex reluctantly tore his eyes away from where Dogma had disappeared to fix his gaze on the older clone. âShinies are always so eager to please, but we arenât getting a fresh batch this time. Part of Amidalaâs newest bill for âdisadvantaged soldierâs who deserve a second chanceâ.â A huff sounded from the comm. Might have been amusement. Might have been scorn. âSeems she finally got the memo.â
Rex tried to keep his breath steady through the betrayal itching beneath his skin. âAnd when did you plan on telling me about this?âÂ
âI didnât,â Fox replied, curt and frank. Rex couldnât read anything in that visor, couldnât see a twitch of discomfort, or a shrug of apology. He was completely blank. Like a droid.
â...why? Heâs mine!â
âNot anymore,â Fox drawled. âHe keeps his life, and in return all he had to do was switch his blue for red. Heâs mine now.â
Rex choked. He remembered panic settling into his veins as the tribunal hemmed and hawed over Dogmaâs fate. He remembered turning to Cody, despite all the blood heâd drained from his men, and begging his older brother for help. Remembered Codyâs calm voice, void of blame, telling him âIâll take care of itâ.
Remembers hearing the verdict and the cold reminder that Cody was no god, that not even he could turn the wheels of judgement.
Remembers running away from the wails that echoed from the barracks.
âBut why didnât you ever tell me,â Rex whispered. âHis squad mourned him. Tup has been struggling. Theyâre batchmates Fox! I donât care where he is, as long as heâs alive! But you could have told me-â
âNo.â Fox finally turned his head to meet Rexâs eyes, voice turning hard. âI know your battalion, Rex. Very well. You lot are not the type to let something like this go. Youâd get vocal about it. Incredibly vocal. No doubt youâd grab the wrong attention. Donât tell me you honestly believe that the brass knows the kid is here?â
âYouâre underestimating my boys,â Rex tried to match Foxâs tone, but he was feeling numb. âThey know how to keep things quiet if they have to. They would never do anything to hurt Dogma-â
âIf that were true Dogma wouldnât be here.â
That stung. That burnt in Rexâs chest something awful. The failure of not keeping his own men unified, of allowing in fighting and for one man to take the fall of his inability to squeeze a force damned trigger scraped at his skin and dug into his heart.
Foxâs head twitched minutely and his voice softened. âHeâs alive, Rex. Thatâs what matters. Iâll keep him safe to the best of my ability.â
âWill you?â Rex didnât mean for the words to form quite so sharply.
âOf course,â Fox murmured. âLike I said. Heâs mine now.â
With that Fox bent, and started picking at the flimsi on the floor. Rex felt chastened at the sight, and hesitated for only a moment before bending over to help. They were probably classified and highly important documents, and Dogma had just left them there, at the order of his Commanding officer.
Just so that he could get away.
From him.
Rex was starting to get tired of the way his eyes burned.
They had just finished gathering the wayward documents and gotten to their feet when the door slid open and Skywalker stepped out. Fox straightened imperceptibly, flimsi firmly tucked against his side as he saluted. Rex already knew not to.
Skywalker beamed at him. âHeya Rex, the Chancellor, cut our meeting short. He had some meeting with the banking clan or something-â
Skywalker paused. âWoah, what happened to you? Wait- Did someone throw that at you?!â His eyes squinted dangerously, suspicious eyes darting to Fox who stiffened..
âUh, no sir, there was just an accident,â Rex hastened to say, drawing the Generalâs focus away. âI will clean up at the barracks, sir.â
Skywalker stared for a moment before he relaxed, gaze brightening as he turned to walk down the hall. âOkay, then. We should get going! Although, I hope you donât mind, but I was hoping weâd stop by Senator Amidalaâs office for a bit, I was hoping to catch up with her too.â
âYes, sir,â he murmured. He turned back for a goodbye but Fox was already disappearing around the corner, just like Dogma.

My bee horror story is that great grandpa was a beekeeper. Baby me was fascinated and I peered over into the bee house without wearing protection.
Maybe I spooked them by moving to fast or maybe the bee was just minding its own business, but one flew up to my shoulder and little baby Razena panicked.
I smushed my shoulder into my face in a panic and thus the bee stung my shoulder. Twas a very painful day and I have been traumatized by bees ever since.
Which is hilarious because both my maternal and paternal grandparents do some beekeeping on the side.
have you ever been stung by a bee?

âWhat if I just gave it to someone?â
Cody had never seen a helmet roll to the side so dramatically.
âYeah, youâre right, youâre right, youâve been trying that for how long now?â
Mando was enjoying this a little too much. âI donât know what to tell you Rex. You claimed it through combat. No tag backs.â
Rex spluttered incoherently, and Cody was worried again. âWeâll see about that.â

âEcho.â Echoâs mouth snapped shut and he turned towards Wrecker. The batcher looked as battered as ever, but his face held a lucidity that had been lost a few hallways down into the base. âYouâre hurt bad. You know what Tech would say âbout that.â Echo swallowed, haunched over and cornered. He wanted to kill Hemlock. He wanted to save his new brothers. He wanted to protect Wrecker. Thanks for the tag Razena!!
1. Luke Skywalker (Star Wars): Heâs the blueprint. Heâs an Everyman that went and saved the universe cuz it was the right thing to do. He chooses love and forgiveness above all else and sees the good in everyone. Once he becomes a Jedi, he is overwrought with doubts, but still pulls through to do what he believes is right. Plus heâs a huge dork.
2. Lloyd Garmadon (Ninjago): Okay yeah heâs extremely similar to Luke, I just love this character type. Lloyd had every right to be a villain and to choose revenge and spite, but every time he chose hope and love. Even from the get-go, it was established that he was too good. He becomes ultra powerful, and he uses it to protect others. But heâs not some paragon of perfection. He struggles so much with self doubt and fear, but gains the strength to continue on despite.
3. Leonardo (TMNT): Basically every version, with 03 and 12 being the nearest to my heart. Heâs just. Everything. Infallible older brother afraid to fail because failure means losing the ones he loves and protects. Has an unshakable moral code that ostracizes him at times, but in the end heâs right. A huge self-righteous dork. Is very fun to watch fight and flip around. Is blue. Heâs everything.
4. Stephanie Brown (DC Comics): Silly goofy purple girl. Hit her future bf in the face with a brick the first time she met him in self defense. Blurts her thoughts out loud. Always trying to prove herself. Becomes her best self once she decides she doesnât care what others think because sheâs doing whatâs right. Sheâs literally me okay. âThereâs room for hope in our line of work.â
5. Zuko (AtLA): One of the best written characters in all media. Even when he was an antagonist, we still rooted for him. One of the few of the Fire Nation to have a true sense of honor. The reason he was scarred and banished is cuz he defended the lives of his nationâs soldiers. Becomes incredibly conflicted and suffers immensely. Chooses to do whatâs right, despite believing his uncle wonât forgive him. The Blue Spirit.
6. Harry Osborn (Marvel): Man I could write an ESSAY. Boy failure. Victim of toxic masculinity. Wants to be just like his abusive father. Is a good hearted person underneath it all. Struggles with addiction because heâs weak-willed, and sacrifices his life to save the best friend he had spent so long trying to kill. Told Mary Jane she wouldnât be a victim in his war with Peter like Gwen had been. Is very loyal. Just. Him.
7. Zack Fair (Final Fantasy VII): Iâm sorry I love the heroâs hero. Cute and dorky and fun, but with a strong moral code. After spending 4 years as a medical experiment in a coma, his only thoughts were to protect Cloud and get back to his girlfriend. âWould you sayâŠI became a hero?â
8. Caleb Widogast (Critical Role): Dirt wizard. Has an EXTREMELY tragic story. Managed to claw his way out of abuse. Slowly comes to believe he is worth love. Is very loyal. Loves his cat. Book nerd. Has a strong unique relationship with everyone in the Nein. Fire powers.
9. Macaque (Lego Monkie Kid): Has the sickest purple shadow powers and the prettiest voice and so much charisma. Bitter cuz his ex-best friend took him for granted and then killed him. Still loves him despite it. Takes pity on MK cuz he sees himself in the kid, and becomes his ally. His ultimate dream was just to live a peaceful life with his best friend for eternity.
10. Roxas (Kingdom Hearts): Had a life that was never his stolen from him. Was constantly told that he didnât have a heart, that he wasnât alive, that he couldnât feel, yet he loved his friends more than anything. Has so many banger lines. Has the best theme song. Voiced by Jesse McCartney. His return was so cathartic and SICK. âLooks like my summer vacation is over.â
Whew that was a lot.

This is cool, thanks for the tag @transuncletaylor! I think I just talk about my faves right? I know Iâm forgetting some but here goes
Sokka (ATLA) : heâs so funny and interesting and his character is So Deep actually! I love a guy with Secret Issues. Must be relatable I guess.
Mako (LOK) : Youâre going to start seeing I have a type. Hot, bad boy vibes, seems reckless but has a huge sense of justice actually. Also I LOVE a mysterious and tragic backstory.
Jim Kirk (Star Trek) : I mean the exact same reasons as above pretty much.
Jack Kelly (Newsies) : same hehe. I just love these guys of questionable sexuality who are like a leader of a found family and would do ANYTHING to protect them.
Marius Pontmercy (Les Miserables) : heâs annoying af and doesnât get the point of anything going on around him but he knows exactly what he stands for. So relatable. His hyperfixation with Napoleon for entirely stupid reasons? Iconic. What a king. Living through a tragedy too? Iâm attracted to that angst like flies on shit.
Tommy Shelby (Peaky Blinders) : Heâs just badass. The best antihero. He says fuck capitalism and then falls victim to it lol. Also he is a GENIUS and loves to fuck people up to protect his family. Also his trauma is delicious to me ofc.
Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher) : Mysterious hero with pain and a family. So yeah.
Roronoa Zoro (One Piece) : I mean pretty much the same as the majority of this list. Tough guy who would die for his captain omfg
Han Solo (Star Wars) : the og baddie, need I say more
Anya Forger (Spy x Family) : listen it creeps ME out too that a little girl is on the list of me, a grown ass man, but sheâs SO funny and her cuteness reminds me of like every student I ever had, I canât help it
ok idk if yâall figured out but I just tag people by typing letters and clicking the first people who show up lol. Anyway if I dont tag you and you wanna do this, go for it. If I tag you and you donât want to do this, fine.

The best time to visit Dubai is in the cooler months when the days are breezy and invigorating and nights can be nippy. During this time your Dubai itinerary will overflow with things to do and places to see without the fear of heatstroke or dehydration.
The United Arab Emirates with Dubai as itâs glamorous poster child, has always been at the forefront of innovation in architectural marvels, improvement of itâs infrastructure and the standard of living for the benefit of itâs residents. In one generation Dubai has gone from a sleepy fishing village with pearl diving, weaving and regional trading as itâs main sources of income, to the City of Gold where everything is bigger, better and shinier and expats come to fulfill their dreams.
Nothing can prepare visitors coming to Dubai for short breaks or a Dubai layover for the beauty, prosperity, modernity and goodwill that they will encounter during their Dubai visit. In this city of convenience, comfort and exceptional customer service there is so much to see and do that you may regret not staying longer than a 96 hour stopover.
Whether you are a solo traveler, newly weds on a Dubai honeymoon or coming on Dubai family holidays, the Dubai weather in December makes it the best time to visit. Dubai excursions are more enjoyable and there are so many things to do in Dubai with kids outside of the malls. This essential insiders Dubai vacation travel guide includes everything you need to know to plan your city break in Dubai.

The best time to visit Dubai for outdoor activities
When friends and relatives ask what is the best time to go to Dubai for a vacation or stopover, I always recommend visiting between November and March. By November the heat starts abating and cooler temperatures prevail with occasion rain showers. This also coincides with the peak season when accommodation is in demand and prices can be higher in popular areas.
Dubai weather in December, January and February is ideal for outdoor activities in the cityâs many parks, beach and creek side recreation areas. Barbecues and picnics are very popular in the beach parks at this time.
The weather is mild and the temperature seldom goes above 28-30 degrees Celsius making it possible to walk around outside without fear of a heatstroke or dehydration.
The more temperate weather makes sunbathing and water sports like kayaking, canoeing, fly boarding as well as recreational fishing more bearable.
Christmas in Dubai is an awesome time to visit because the city goes all out to make non-Muslim residents and visitors feel at home during the holiday season. Malls have beautifully decorated Christmas trees and hotels have special events for non-Muslim children to experience the holidays.
This is also the best time to visit Dubai because it coincides with the annual Dubai Shopping festival (DSF), the Dubai International Film Festival, the Commemoration Day and UAE National Day celebrations.
Many seasonal attractions that are mostly outdoors like Global Village, Dubai Garden Glow and Dubai Miracle Garden are only open during the cooler months.
Schools and colleges have their year-end vacation and many families take the opportunity to visit their home countries to spend the festive season with family.
Many visitors from the Northern hemisphere visit Dubai to escape the cold in December, and it is advisable to book everything from hotel accommodation to tickets for the Dubai Opera or even dinner reservations in advance.

Summer in Dubai
Summers in Dubai are very hot and most residents take the opportunity to enjoy the summer Dubai holidays in cooler climates in other parts of the world. A decade ago Dubai was practically deserted during the summer months from June to August. That has changed since the emirates have been promoted as a haven for sun-seekers, and cheap holidays to Dubai are advertised in foreign markets.
During summer in Dubai the hot and dry desert winds, known as shamal, blow sand and dust from Iraq and Turkey down through the gulf states for 3-5 days at a time. This results in huge sandstorms carrying very fine dust that settles onto everything and significantly reduces visibility on urban and desert roads. People may suffer from respiratory distress if they breathe in the fine dust and it is advisable to refrain from outdoor pursuits during this time. There are many indoor activities at malls, museums and other places of entertainment.
The best time to visit Dubai for low prices is between June â August when it is high summer and average day time temperatures reach 40 Celcius and higher.
Cheap holiday packages to Dubai are usually offered by travel agents during the hottest summer months and may include the cost of visas, flights, airport transfers and accommodation. It should be noted however, that the high humidity and temperatures often make any Dubai excursions and outdoor pursuits very exhausting.
Things to know before visiting Dubai
My Dubai vacation travel guide will assist you in choosing the best time to visit Dubai while making the most of your Dubai short breaks. Whether it is taking Dubai day tours, fun activities or finding the best places to visit in Dubai. It should be noted that Dubai is one of the safest solo female travel destinations and also one of the best places to travel alone as female.

Modesty â Always be respectful and maintain your modesty and personal space in public, especially when visiting places of worship.
Sun protection â Remember to carry a sunhat and wear sunblock in summer months and also during the winter months when it is still very warm.
Malls â Many activities are indoors inside malls to enable residents to enjoy it year round. This includes ski slopes, aquariums, cinemas, jungles, ice skating rinks.
Bargain hunt â Visit and haggle in the markets and souks to secure a discount. Most Mall stores have fixed prices unless discounted during sales. Steer clear of sellers of counterfeit clothing, handbags and perfume in souks as their prices are ridiculous.
History and culture â Venture outside of your hotel and the well known tourist attractions to learn more about the history of the emirate and how itâs location has shaped the economy and culture of the people.
Transportation â There are taxis, uber, busses, metro and tram lines to get you around the city. There are even air-conditioned bus stops so you donât have to break into an unnecessary sweat.
Alcohol â This is not available outside of licensed hotels, pubs, clubs and restaurants and their license covers Non-muslim patrons. It is not advisable to be in public in a drunken state as this may result in arrest or prosecution under the UAE Penal code. Tourists may now obtain a free alcohol license for legal purchases of alcohol and consumption outside of the licensed hotels, pubs and clubs. Click here for more information.
Eve teasing / sexual harassment â This is prohibited by the UAE Penal code and carries a maximum fine of AED 10,000 or one year imprisonment, if convicted of molesting a woman by words or actions in a public or frequented place.
Public displays of affection â Many visitors to the United Arab Emirates overlook the fact that it is essentially a Muslim majority country and that they should also observe modesty in behavior when out in public places. Visitors should not offend the cultural sensibilities of local residents by engaging in indecent public displays of affection. Kissing and other overt sexual behaviors are frowned upon especially in public places frequented by families. Complaints may result in arrest or prosecution under the UAE Penal code. This includes shopping malls, supermarkets, cinemas, theaters, outdoor markets, parks, tourist attractions, the public areas of hotels and government offices and institutions.
For information for your Dubai vacation I recommend that you familiarize yourself with general information about Dubai before visiting.

How to travel to Dubai for the first time
Dubai has two international airports welcoming visitors coming for their Dubai vacation or stopover.
The oldest and busiest is Dubai International airport which is the main airport with itâs three terminals located between Umm Ramool and Al Qusais in the city limits. This is the main hub for Emirates Airlines.
The newer airport is Al Maktoum International airport located in Jebel Ali, approximately 37 km south of Dubai city center. This airport is used by many regional carriers and low cost airlines.
Etihad Airways flies into Abu Dhabi International Airport and provides complimentary inter-emirate shuttle coach services for economy class passengers from the Abu Dhabi International airport to Mazaya Centre in Downtown Dubai. First and business class passengers may avail of complimentary chauffeur services.
Air Arabia flights come into Sharjah International and Ras Al Khaimah International Airports. There are metered taxis from these airports into the city of Dubai. There are also coach services between Sharjah and Al Ghurair Centre in Dubai (AED 20 / US$ 5.45).

Finding free wi-fi in Dubai
When you arrive at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 at Dubai Airport you will see signs with instructions on how to connect to the free wi-fi service within the terminal buildings.
There are also free wi-fi services on the metro as well as in the Dubai Metro stations. This map of the wi-fi hotspots will be helpful.
Many of the city malls have free wi-fi that is available after registration on their site.
A number of cafes and quick service restaurants like Costa and Mugg and Bean offer 30 minutes or more of free wi-fi with every order.
Best time to visit Dubai and how to get around
Airport taxis are available at designated areas in the arrivals terminals and charge a higher starting rate of AED 25 plus a per km rate for all trips originating from the airport.
Metered taxis operate throughout all areas of the city and can be hailed or ordered via the Dubai Taxi service operator.
Commuters using public transportation in Dubai use a NOL smart card that allows the holder to utilise all the public transportation modes operated by the Roads and Transportation Authority (busses, metro, tram and marine services).
The red and green metro lines connect all areas in the city and the Dubai International Airport may be reached via the red line. The metro connects to the Al Sufouh tram line at the Damac and Jumeirah Lakes Towers stations (cross Shaikh Zayed Road via the airbridge from the metro stations) to reach the Dubai Marina.
Car rental companies operate at Dubai International Airport and various locations in the city. Rental car bookings can be made online in many cases or in person. They will require an international driverâs license as well as a passport and valid visa to issue the vehicle.
There are also Uber and Careem e-hailing services that can be ordered via their apps. These services may now access the airport terminals as well as the malls throughout the city.
Best time to visit Dubai and what to wear
Dubai has very hot summers and mild temperate winters that sometimes require a cardigan or light shawl in the early mornings or evenings during the cooler months.
Flowy dresses or wide leg / loose fit trousers with tops are the most comfortable in summer and the cooler months. Cotton, linen and other natural fabrics are preferable in the heat as they are lightweight and breathable and less clingy than synthetic fabrics.
Shorts, culottes and capri pants are also comfortable as long as it is not too short (hot pants).
Always pack a hat and sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes from the harsh sunlight, even in the cooler months.
Sunblock or a high sun protection factor sunscreen is essential throughout the year to prevent sunburn and sun damage.
If you suffer from dust allergies it may be advisable to carry a mask or fabric respirator during a summer visit when there may be sandstorm conditions.
Where to stay in Dubai
Every neighborhood in Dubai has itâs own charms and there are countless options for visitors who want to experience the best cultural activities, resorts, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Dubai four and five star hotels are some of the best in the world in terms of value for money, comfort, spaciousness and customer service.
There are however also many cheap hotels in Dubai suitable for all budgets and comfort levels, especially in the older historic areas of the city like Deira and Bur Dubai. During the summer months this area is very crowded and the humidity can be unpleasant to experience.
Although the premier hotels can cost an arm and a leg there are many that are located near to the main attractions for a more reasonable rate. You can read more about that next week in my article on where to stay in Dubai.
Best time to visit Dubai for a food experience
Dubai is a multi-cultural melting pot with residents from all over the world who have come to make their fortune and their home. This makes the city abundant with exotic cuisines that can be found in road side cafes, independent restaurants, mall eateries and fine dining hotel restaurants.
One of the most common complaints I always hear from friends and relatives on their Dubai visit is that they did not expect the food to be so affordable. I suspect that because the city has the reputation for luxury, glamour and excess, travelers automatically assume that everything is expensive. Although that may be true for highly regarded hotel restaurants fronted by celebrity chefs, there are many establishments that cater for the average man on the street.
The best time to visit to Dubai and get amazing deals from the best restaurants is during the annual Dubai Food Festival held during February and March every year.
The farmerâs markets operate between October â April and offer a wide variety of locally grown produce from the farms in Dubai and the neighboring emirates. This is the time to reduce our carbon footprint and buy local because fresh fruit and vegetables are plentiful and bounteous.

You should note that the roads to and from the high traffic areas are closed from 5 or 6pm until after midnight and many revellers either use public transport or park their cars and take a taxi or walk to the nearest vantage point.
Restaurants and cafes with a view of the fireworks charge premium prices for a meal and a seat for a few hours until after midnight.

What's wrong with Leo/April? If Leolotus works, LeoApril can too, right? (Not mad, just wondering!)
well honestly itâs mostly my personal bias for leolotus
lotus blossom is his best love interest by far (all his other love interests are either toxic, his sister, dead, or from a vision he had), and i really want to see her return. sheâs my favorite tmnt character.
and a new version of her being paired with Leonardo would be icing on the cake.
as for april, i have nothing against her at all! i love april.
but i think the only april x turtle ship i could ever love is 2012 apritello. it feels wrong to pair her with the turtles otherwise. she ends up being their sister figure usually.
i donât mind leo having a crush on her. just as long as he eventually moves on. the turtles had small crushes on april at the beginning of 87, but it went away around early season 3 and was replaced with a beautiful sibling bond
