CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Naveen Singh is based on Naveen from The Princess and the Frog. He is a 32 year old cursed human, heir/restaurant employee, and uses he/him pronouns. He has the power of spontaneous shifting. Naveen is portrayed by Raymond Ablack and he is taken.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

For the first thirty years of Naveen's life, things were good. Extremely good. The heir wanted for practically nothing - never having to lift a finger and he lived a life that most people assumed was blessed and, for those years, it was. Between Naveen and his younger brother, Ralphie, the two Singh boys were a force to be reckoned with, although it became clear pretty quickly that the younger of them was the one who had the drive and the mind to run an empire. Not Naveen. The moment he figured out how to get into trouble, he didn't stop. Partying, excessive spending, dabbling in things he shouldn't - they all became his favorite things to do and he did them well. With every expectation of being the eldest son that was added to his shoulders, the more he acted out and took things less and less seriously. Much to the chagrin of his father and their many advisors. Consequences weren't things that Naveen sullied himself with. Considering how much money and power his family had, there was no power in the world that could get to him....until it did. He got in too deep and was landed with a curse that transformed him into a frog the moment his head got too big. When his pretentiousness and ignorant behavior got too be too much - pop. He turned into a frog. To say his life turned upside down would have been an understatement. He was floundering as to what to do, no idea how any of this had happened or how to fix anything. He was spiraling until he met Tiana. She was a woman with a plan, a determination and a toolkit to figure things out, so solution oriented...he couldn't relate. But he could change and he started to and then - he woke up in Evermore. He was a human again! A wave of relief washed over him as the nightmare was over until he realized he didn't know if it would come back. Naveen didn't want to let it bother him too much, he'd gotten out of it with minimal effort but there's still a nagging voice in the back of his mind that it might happen again.
